A Bigger Better Patreon
Howdy folks!
As you might know, we've been working really hard on a ton of things. I thought I would outline some of what to expect here and fill you all in.
The Show
The cast has been reshuffled and these groups are currently playing practice sessions to get very familiar with Cortex Prime. It really won't be that much different to listen to, but there will be some differences. Mostly, combat will be faster and a bit more dangerous. I mean this for both sides. Monsters and enemies will be dropping much faster than in D&D. This might make some of you worry, but have faith. I promise that it will make sense soon.
We new episodes arrive, they will be in both audio and twitch formats. The video will be highly produced and feature some new stuff for everyone to be involved in. We'll be doing live polls, giveaways and featuring a "listener of the week" in both versions. More on this soon.
We expect to be back on the air in early 2022.
Cortex Prime
We know that a new system is confusing and there is a lot to learn. That's why there will be a Cortex Prime...uh...primer coming out later in December for everyone. It will get you up to speed on all things Cortex and give you a firm understanding of the basic rules so you'll know what to expect from the show. I'll keep it short, I promise. :)
Patreon
First off, we want to apologize to everyone for the lack of updates in the past. We're working to correct that and keeping you all updating moving forward.
Starting on January 1st there will be new tiers and a new pricing structure. Generally, everything will be less expensive and games will be accessible in lower tiers. We're hoping that this drives new people to the Patreon, but we're a little worried as well. We have no idea how this will change our livelihood. We'll just have to wait and see on that part.
Two brand new bonus games will be launching in January as well. We had hoped to get these out much sooner, but the holidays are really tough to schedule around under normal circumstances. Right now we're trying to balance working on the show update, writing a book and changing the Patreon. It's difficult. A typical week for me right now involves 6 days of recording or running games at night.
All of this being said, we're beyond excited for you all to see what we've been working on. We took your feedback to heart and wanted to change everything for the better. Please feel free to leave comments here and I'll answer asap. :)
