And Kira. I'm Kira, I'm going to be playing Ingrid Pike, a gnome sorcerer. And Laron. Hi guys, my name's Laron and I'm going to be playing Cold Duel Fang, a long-toothed shifter druid. And Valerie. Hi, I'm Valerie and I'm going to be playing Sword Greywing, the halfling ranger.

And Karen. Hi, I'm Karen, I play Evelyn Haywood, a human ranger. Alright, last time on the show you guys made it to the town of Durran Hollow. You got debriefed by Laron, you made it to town, dropped off those supplies, so that's going to help those people out a lot. You managed to get some rest and you got your next assignment, which was to meet Bree in Aubrey's. So on the way to Aubrey you did sort of get attacked by a pack of dire wolves, which thankfully they were a little on the younger side. They were hungry though and you ran into a bit of trouble in that fight.

Evelyn actually almost died. Here's what we're going to do. We're going to pick up just after that fight. What would you guys like to do? Is this something where you'd like to camp alongside of the road? It's not like there's a convoy anymore. You are pretty much independent of that. So we should just hang out in the place where we just got attacked by wolves? Right, that's the thing. In hopes that wolves don't strike twice? It's like lightning. Nature check to see if that's a good idea. Well that's more a common sense check. Well you know, if the area... Let's move on down the road Laron.

Let's move on down the road. Yeah fair enough. I feel like Elorath would just be like, "Oh my god did you guys see that? I was like surrounded by the wolves and we get so much ass." Yes. Just like stare people down and get really excited. Could somebody say that we would ease on down the road? I would say that we would ease on down the road. We've been down the road for hours as we discussed last time so you're about halfway in between the towns of Durn Hollow and Aubrey. This is... it's a little over a days trek on foot. Unless you guys are really hoping it. Like you're specifically running which is going to tucker you out more but totally up to you. I imagine you're just pretty much walking down the road so... Yep. There we go. 16. Very nice. All the way to the town of Aubrey you do not encounter any more wolves.

Nothing's going to attack you on the road. So you have gotten kind of lucky. Who would like to do me a favor and roll a history check for the town of Aubrey? I only have a plus one so... Yeah not me. I have a plus one. I believe that's an Eren thing. I have a plus two so... Hold on I was trying to think... My... oh yeah no I have a plus six. I roll for shit so... Okay there we go. 21. Nice. So the town of Aubrey is a fairly peaceful place in and of itself. The town's people are pretty courteous. It's a pretty religious town. A monitor is the deity of choice but there are smaller temples for Kord and a few other deities.

The reason they're such a religious place is because while the people of the town are very outgoing and nice and like to try to help out. The town has had a centuries old vampire problem. Pretty much catacombed beneath the town and in caves around the town they've had a series of encounters with vampires year after year after year after year. The worst of this was a few decades back actually nightly they would be attacked by vampires as soon as the sun set and people would be picked off one after another in town. It's gotten better since then. Specifically as of recently a couple of months back they had an encounter with quite an old vampire.

Depending on who you ask he was trying to organize the remaining younger spawn and try and unite them under one banner or he was trying to train them to attack the town again. It depends on who you ask. Either way he is not a problem anymore. And that is pretty much what you'd know about this town walking into it. So what would be your first stop here? Are you trying to get some rest? What would you try to be doing? We should probably get some rest. One of our party members nearly died from fighting wolves. Yeah I could go for a rest. Rest seems like a good plan to me.

And food. Food, yeah food is good. You are in luck. Because there is a lovely little B&B here in town. B&Bs, I love B&Bs. Yeah this is quite a nice place. Word of it has spread over the past year as a lovely little respite from the road. Ella Raff's all for going and getting some food and then going to sleep. She's always hungry. Well let's say that you are camping out here in the inn and you're retiring for the evening. There are plenty of rooms for you all to split up in pairs of twos or whatever and grab some sleep. They also have a lovely cleaning service.

So they wash the blood out of your armor and clothes and get them back to you the next day. They have a lovely little bathroom where you can actually get a shower and freshen up. Which is not standard in Theria for inns depending on where you go. But this place is pretty nice. Bubble bath? Bubble bath. Well there's soap. You can make bubbles. Okay. I just like the image. Just splashing your arms around. Ella Raff's in a giant baby tub just like "Yeah!" Shower cap. They had the opposite problem here with the minotaur. Not that too terribly long ago. So you'll fit just fine.

There's not one member of the party who won't. So I am pulling my little rubber ducky out of my pack of stuff and going to take it to the bath. So I'll go ahead and I'll deduct gold from you guys in a little bit. I was just going to say I feel like Ella Raff would seek out Cole and be like "You fight good." And then punch him on the... well, go for the arm but she's really short. Yeah. Punch him in the upper thigh? Yeah, one of those bro punches. Yeah. You fight good. I fight good. Yeah. I saw what you did with those wolves. I couldn't do that. As a matter of fact, how much does that weigh, any points at your flail?

Not much. I mean, she's probably curling it with one arm like a bison curl. She's probably like "No, it's not that bad. You can hold it if you want." Yeah, I'll give it a shot. Do me a favor and roll a strength check. Sure. There we go. This is going to be like Mjolnir. You're going to go to reach for this mace and it's going to hit the ground immediately. You're going to keep a hold of it but you're not going to be able to hold this mace up. When that happens, I go "The fuck?" And he's just looking at you and the flail. "How did... the fuck are you?" Smug grin and then she's going to reach back for it but she's got her arm tense so her muscles are really bulging.

I'll just take that. It's okay. Bro, you want a beer? Always go for a beer. Yeah, let's do it. And then maybe we can arm wrestle. Yeah, sure. She's going to clap him on whatever part of the back she can reach and be like "Let's get a beer." Are we in a bar? This place has a dining area. Okay. I was going to say, if there's tables and stuff, she'd probably just be sitting at a table and probably just finish up dinner or something. Well, after my bath, I will be hunting down Evelyn and trying to see how she is doing. You were in really rough shape. Are you going to be okay?

Yeah, I've had worse but I think I'll be okay. Aaron cleaned me up pretty good. That's good. It was not looking good for a while. I was worried. I was worried too. After Ella Rath and I probably shoot the shit, I guess, I wanted to see if there was a bar area or anything like that so I could people watch or something for a little bit. Well, right now you're the only people really occupying this place and the table section kind of serves as a makeshift bar. Okay. So you could even join Evelyn and Ingrid. Okay. I'll join the two. If you guys want to do the arm wrestling thing, we can totally do the arm wrestling thing.

Because I'm telling you about the arm wrestling, I will cheer you on, Cole. Personally, I want to do the... as La'Ron, I want to do the arm wrestling thing. Cole is having second thoughts. I think Evelyn would be very interested in the arm wrestling thing. Yeah, if you mention it to me, Ingrid would be totally encouraging you to arm wrestle. We would do it as like a little skill check challenge thing. Okay. So we'll recreate over the top. That's what we'll do. Ingrid's going to take a look at his arm and raise an eyebrow. "Looks like your arm's still attached. Couldn't have been that bad." You try picking up that fucker. At this point Eloraf's probably gonna walk over with her beer and she'll be like, "Hey bro, I thought we were arm wrestling. Let's go." And bang on the table just like, "Hey!" Oh, you two are gonna arm wrestle? It was disgust. You two are going to arm wrestle.

This isn't actually an option anymore. She's like standing up at you like, "Yeah, let's go. Come on." Cole puts his hands on his waist and just looks to the side, looks to the ceiling and goes, "Fuck, fine. All right." I mean, we don't have to if you don't want to, but like... No, no, no, no, no, no. You do. You want to. No, let's just do this. Let me ask a couple of very important questions. Will we be betting on this? Yes. Yes, that'll be one of them. I just want to throw it out there that I, Aaron is feeding Hunter like a little bit of like meat and bread and stuff, whatever. But she's definitely interested in this in this arm wrestling match. So Evelyn, how about five gold? I'll say Cole will win. All right, I'll take that. And I'll go for Eloraf. Now Cole's going to look at everybody and he's going to point with his free hand. Before we start, I just want to let all you fuckers know that this is purely for sport.

So Ellorath's arm is going to start to dip back ever so slightly. So we're talking about, you know, 15, 20 degrees. Something like that. Like it's bending back a bit. Do me a favor. Roll another roll. Another strength check. All right. Oh, oh, wow. OK. Maybe I just wasn't worthy to hold Mjolnir right that second. Cole is going to continue to push down and Ellorath's arm has almost hit the table here.

Cole is going to finish the rest of the way and Ellorath's, Ellorath's, the bag of Ellorath's hand is going to just kind of knock the table and shake everyone's strengths just a little bit.

She's going to get really excited. She'll be like, Yes, that was awesome. I go again. When you do that, OK, the look on Cole's face when he wins basically is very a bit guilt ridden. It's basically like, well, I just want to I just I just won an arm wrestling contest against the halfling. I must be very proud of myself. But then when you asked to go again, I'm like, Cole's like, ah, OK, fuck it. You know what? Next next time we go to we'll have your rematch deal. It's on. We I shake on it. Yeah. To his to my as much like this. You say she's like really irritated that she lost.

But at the same time, she's like, he fights really good. So I'm not even that mad. It's like, yeah, I'll get you next time. I ain't even mad. I ain't even mad, bro. By the way, she's like a cross between a bro and a puppy dog. It's really weird. Ingrid's going to give give Evelyn a little nudge to settle the bet. Evelyn is going to take out five golden to slide it across the table to her. I was a little sour. Ingrid's just going to give her a grand like there's always the rematch. There is always the rematch. Evelyn, Cole and Sora are going to start to hear the the town's warning bell go off, which is a large kind of you know, it's just a large ringing, just kind of bong bong. And then you're going to hear people screaming. Wait, wait, wait, wait. So we have we haven't slept yet. You haven't slept yet. I want to go immediately outside. What is going on? But does that count as a short rest? Short rest? Yes. No, an extended rest. Does that mean that I could have used my song of rest on everybody?

Yeah. OK. I'm being I'm being asked what my song of rest is. And my my song of rest is going to be whale noises, soothing whale noises. You realize I have to slide that into the show now, right? We've had way worse. I'm just saying I'm looking to the fully for you right now. I can spit down some fully. Oh, that's horrible. Everyone's well. Now, now you don't have to do that. The rest of you are going to notice where the the innkeeper is immediately going to start to run to the door and he is going to try and bolt it shut. But if you're going to if you're going to run out, he's going to allow you to leave.

But he's going to he's going to warn you. I have to bolt this shot. You if you want to leave, you can. But what's going on? Yeah, what's going on? The rest of us even notice anything's happening. The ones who failed our perception checks. I would say everyone once everyone starts moving, I'd say you. You just like what? Like I'd say that that's that's that's when you start picking up on stuff, especially when the innkeeper starts moving to the door. Evelyn would stand up very abruptly from the table. So I think that would be a good indicator. Like, oh, hey, what's happening?

The innkeeper, he's I'm pretty sure we're under attack. This happens from time to time, but we should we should all just stay indoors. Attack by what? And he's going to look at you almost like, how do you not know this? By vampires. He's almost flippant about it. Like it's so it's such a common occurrence. It's almost like, what do you mean? What? Vampires? What can we do? I think we should stay inside. I mean, Evelyn almost just died. We just battled four dire wolves. I don't think that we're at our I don't think we have the strength to go against vampires right now, guys.

I think I really think that we should if the innkeeper says it's safest to stay inside, I think we should stay inside. Well, Sora already left. I think that it's unfortunate that we're going to lose a party member. You don't think we should check on her and help? I mean, how far away did she get? She'd be just outside the door. I ran and I kept running and never stopped. You had to have stopped because you asked, what are we being attacked by? She just sprinted out of the door into the night. What's happening? There are a few people on the street who are being accosted right now by semi cloaked figures. Two of these people are going, they're currently being drug outside of town. They're right on the way the scene is set up. It's sort of on the edge of town. Two of these figures are going to start to drag these individuals back and they're going to start to disappear into the night.

While the other two are currently fighting what appears to be a redheaded woman in plate armor. And she's swinging this this big broadsword back and forth that I'm defending both of them off, keeping both of them at bay. Okay. I want to add first. I want to like hide kind of behind something. Okay. So do me a favor, roll a stealth check. I can do that. You can come back inside. Yeah. You can come back inside, everyone say. So there's a there's a there's a couple of crates near the inn that Sora's going to duck behind. Yeah. And then so what there's like two guys fighting the redhead girl.

There would be two within range of you right now. Okay. I want to shoot an arrow at him. When she moves away, can I like roll my eyes and follow her because she's going to get in trouble. You want me to roll a stealth check? I'm assuming you're targeting vampires. Yeah. Yeah. No, not the lady. Okay. So, oh, that's a good. So twenty seven to both of them. That will definitely hit both of them. Okay. So now I'll target them both and I'll do damage. You have murdered both of these these vampires. Two arrows are going to let loose from your bow and strike them both in the skull and kill them both.

So I'm I'm just going to stand up from behind the carts that was behind and I'll just have a little smirk on my face and put my put my bow back. I, I tried. I can see above them. I'll just smile and walk towards the end and be like, hey, guys, you can come out now. Can we God? That's up to you. The the red haired woman who was fighting those two vampires is going to sort of look bewildered for just half a second after both of them just fall down dead and then look over in the direction where the arrows came from and start to walk towards Sora. And she's walking at a really brisk pace like that, like like this is some urgent stuff.

Sora is sort of turned away from her and this woman is going to place a hand on her shoulder. Excuse me. I'm going to turn around and look up at her. Yes. Was that you just now? Yes, it was. I saw that you were having some trouble, so I thought I'd help out, I guess. And she's going to look she's going to try and peer into the end. Are you with a party or is it just you? I'm with a party. I could actually use some help. At least two people from town were just taken. If we move quickly, we could probably save them. I'd love to. Let me let me talk to the rest of us and see what we can do for you.

I'm going to go ahead and if you can join me down the road, that would be fantastic. Of course. And she's going to take off running in the direction of where these these two vampires started to drag these townspeople. So I'm going to walk towards the end and just kind of knock on the door. Can I before you do that, can I just like grab your shoulder and turn around and be like, what the hell was that? I mean, you just ran out of there. Didn't even know what was going on. You could have got seriously injured. But that's what we're supposed to do. We're supposed to be helping people.

That's that's like just what I was doing. But you had no idea what was out there. We just got into town, just had this huge fight with these wolves and you just run out when there's people screaming. Yeah, that's that's you. You go to the problem and you try and fix it. I don't I don't understand. I was just going to look really exasperated at her and just like let out a really long sigh. And then I guess if you just want to come back to whatever you were doing, she's not going to like. Yeah, I want to knock on that door. Well, OK, everybody in this inn is going to hear a knock on the door.

Who is it? It's Sora. I took care of the people. Are you really, are you a vampire now? I'm going to look out the fucking window. I was already I thought Cole was already holding me up so I could look out the window. Yeah. Can we see? Yeah, you can definitely see that it's Sora. It's Sora. Let her open the door. But is the innkeeper opening the door? Are we opening? No, he ain't open it for shit. I'll roll my eyes and open the door. OK, so we're sliding this. Yeah, sliding this heavy duty bolt back. The door is is is weighty. These these doors are all reinforced.

That's something you're going to notice. Not something that would normally stand out on walking into the building. But after after a lockdown like this, like this is almost like a vault door. This is a big, heavy, wooden, thick door. And yeah, a sore sore is going to come walking in, I imagine. Yes. And Evelyn? Yeah, I'm going to kind of trudge along behind her. Close it immediately behind them. OK, so the party is reunited. You got some balls for doing what you did. I mean, I'm a girl, so I don't really. But you know, you know what the fuck I meant. You just you don't do shit like that without letting us know what you're what the fuck you're going to do.

What if something happened to you? Well, I mean, I assume we would all run outside and then the door was locked. So I took matters into my own hands. Well, we didn't necessarily know the situation until after you bolted your ass through the door and it was blocked. And then by the time Evelyn was going to try and get you. So it was like, what the fuck? Well, I mean, there there was the the bell sounded and that meant there was trouble. And I thought that's what we came here to do. We came here to meet Brianna. That and taking care of trouble doesn't necessarily mean going out to get yourself killed without telling anybody or taking a moment to think about it.

Exactly. If you're going to get yourself killed, at least tell us what you're doing. But can we like take a minute to just say how bad ass that was? I'm just a girl. Oh, yeah, I'm not denying that. That was pretty bad ass. I'm just saying. A little smile. But, you know, a little warning next time, just a heads up, something. OK, I'll try and let you guys know, I guess. So they're gone, right? We don't have to. Those are the only two. We're fine. Everybody else is fine. In the town, no vampires in the town, but there's this lady that I helped and she wants us to help her get back to of the townspeople that were dragged away.

I look at everybody and go, I have this look on my I have this look on my face like I don't know if we should do this. I'm I'm going to do it. I'm telling you right now, even if it's just me. Yeah, I know. And unfortunately, I don't think it's a situation where we can really wait if we're going to help them. No, yeah, she took off running. So Erin knew the moment that that Sora, like, said that that there were that that there were people taken away since the fact that Sora just ran out there just knowing that there was trouble. Now she knows what the trouble is and knows that she can handle it.

Erin knew she was going to go after it anyway. And I'm just going to get my stuff and get ready to go because I'm going with Sora. OK, so so so we're doing this just to make just to make just to make sure everybody's clear with everything? I don't think we really have an option. We should help. All right. I'm not saying we shouldn't help. I'm just I'm just saying we we really need to make sure that we're like we got each other's backs because, you know, we still have to meet Brianna here. And I'll and personally, I've grown I kind of like you guys, so let's make sure that we all stay alive so that, you know, we do whatever else the fuck we need to do after this.

So you're keeping a really keen eye for this. These these these little these little indications that someone's been taken this way. And I would imagine you're going to follow this trail. Yes. It's the things that we've never used, like, you know, diplomacy or there's a diplomacy or an arcana check.

Sora is going to see where this path deviates. And it splits off into two different directions where apparently these vampires split up. And from this point, Sora is going to see both Cole and Sora are going to see where this this the split up and. Sora is going to kind of is going to pick up that that they are probably doing this to ditch the loan, the loan pursuer that they had at the time. And you can't quite tell in which direction that that the redhead went because she's not dragging anybody with her.

But they are taking these two individuals kicking and screaming, and it looks like they took them kicking and screaming to a certain point. And then one of two things probably happened. One, they knocked them out so that they would stop their incessant screaming and and hopefully they can ditch this redhead in the night or they flat out kill them. The second is a little less likely because vampires don't like to feed. They think that the fresher the kill, the possible. And the only reason they're not feeding on people in town is because they would be attacked during that.

So you're guessing that they're probably dragging. They're probably trying to drag these people back to their lair alive. Is there like any difference in the drag rights? Like if if one is like more deep or something else? I was going to ask the same thing. The path leading to the left looks like that that vampire tried to either keep them conscious or alive a little longer. So there are you'll you'll catch some more broken branches that way. You'll catch like like the scuff marks are a little more deep. Whereas the path to the right looks more like drag marks.

And you said we couldn't tell which way the redheaded. There aren't any there aren't even any footprints. You're finding the stray footprint in the patch of mud or something leading up to that. Flip a coin. Totally up to you guys. I want to go left. Both both of these paths sound a bit iffy at the same time. The left one does seem like as the most. You know in the area and B. Following a trail that led straight to it. And Evelyn is going to just pick up the faintest of screams coming from deep within this cavern. The trail most certainly leads into this.

It is pitch black inside. Evelyn is going to nod her head and be like, guys, this way. I just heard a scream. I'm going to go that way. Eren is going to take out her skitty. She's going to use the HM move flash to light up the cave. So I would imagine you're running in torches lit. Because torches are your friend right now. Do me a favor. Roll a perception check. 29. Alright, so I'm actually going to use one of my dailies. And I am going to use Howling Tempest. Howling Tempest is a burst one within ten squares. So I'm actually going to put it in between that little clutch of vampires over here. So there's my little drawing tool. What do you untarget? You can just target them. We know that it's gonna... Yeah, but it shouldn't hit elder spawn. There we go.

And it's actually going to have an area effect as well. It targets each creature within the burst. And it creates a zone of deafening wind that lasts until the end of your next turn. The only one remaining is this elder vampire spawn. So, Cole, your turn. Okay. Well, I'm going to move one, two spaces to my left, and let's target elder spawn. So, there's a power... there's a damage bonus equal to the number of allies that are adjacent to him. Will that add on when I click on the damage thing? It might. Let's see. Last night was so horrible because it was 1 AM and then all of a sudden it was 3 AM. And I didn't even, like, I didn't even realize that it was daylight savings until I was in my car driving to school. And it said 607 AM. And I was so confused. And I was like starting to have a heart attack. I'm like, wait, what's going on? And then I realized it's because I had to change my clock in my car. Wouldn't that have only been 1 to 2 AM, not 1 to 3 AM? No, 1 59 to 3. Oh, 1 59. I'm sorry. I'm dumb. I didn't hear that. Yeah, you guys did really, really well. I threw a lot at you.
