And Delmar. Hi, I'm Cthulhu and I play Jesus. What? No, I'm Delmar and I play Isuzu Nafei. And Dan. Hi, my name's Dan Phelps. I play Nunghen Joibetam, Dwarven Bard. And Tom. Hi, I'm Tom. I play King Yennward, a minotaur fighter. And that'll end. That'll end our Around the Table. Oh, I thought you put the whole thing in. We are the knights of the Round Table that saved me. That's the end of your kingship, Yennward. It's the end of that. Turn in your crown, young man. That does bring us to what happened last time on the show. Justin, is Justin here? Justin, speak up.
No, no, no. Justin, I play Darth Thurg. That's really good, Justin. That was actually really good. Too soon. Too soon. Too soon. No, no, no. Way too soon. Way too soon. Fucking soon. Remember we tried that before and it was like way off, but that was actually really good. That was much closer. You've been working on it. I have. So, yeah, last time on the show you guys got started. You're leaving Brightport and making your way to Bandit's Rest. Unfortunately, you hit a spot of bad luck and you ended up running across a very large dragon. That did not end well for all of you.
You all kind of got beaten and battered and bruised. Unfortunately, Dirthag died outright at the hands of the dragon. So, that's where we're going to pick things up today. You guys are still hovering right next to this dragon. You're near Bandit's Rest, but not quite there. And Dirthag is dead at your feet. So, what would you guys like to do? It's me then. After we fell of the dragon, Snusun is going to look around, like check himself, see if he's okay, all that stuff. He's going to look at the party. Then he's going to realize that Dirthag is dead. So, he's going to run over to him.
Sorry. Then he's going to hold the back of his head. So, he's like holding up the back of his head and just... Not in a... God, none of them said it out loud. It sounds kind of weird. And he's just going to turn his head from side to side, look at him, and lay his head down. And then he's going to look at the rest of the party and he's going to be like, "We should really bury him." Malchus nods. Yeah, we're not too. Seeing that Dirthag's body is on the road, I'm assuming that's where we're walking down a road. I'm going to drag his body with all my strength to the side of the road.
And then just take off the top part of my armor, rest it down, and then start with using some kind of apparatus or tool, start digging a hole. And the whole time, internally, this is what's going through his head or my mind, whoever's mind it is. Dirthag, although I did not know you for long, I think we only knew each other for two, maybe three days at best. I saw a lot in you. This land fears your people because your role, what they consider to be savages. But you, you are trying to make a difference, and that's a good thing in this world. Although you are not my brother, or my people, or my kin, you are an ally, and you helped me in that last battle.
I wish I wasn't so aggressive towards you. So I hope this, although not fitting for a warrior, at least makes your passage to the other side a little easier. You can rest with your ancestors now. Your fight is over. Yeah, I'm just gonna continue digging the hole, and that's it, that's it, that's all I wanted to say. You didn't say that out loud, right? No, that was all internal, so all you see is the lion dude digging a hole. So Duncan kind of goes up to where you're digging, and gets down on a knee, and just puts his head down, closes his eyes, and doesn't say anything out loud, gets back up, has a very straight look on his face.
I don't want to say shocked, but just like disbelief more so. And he... I don't want to make this... this isn't me looting. Is there anything on him that would be important to him? Something that I could take for posterity? It's really tough to tell with Dirthag, because you didn't know that much about him, so discerning what possessions of his were considered valuable is tough. He didn't really show much of a sentimental tone to him, so it's really tough to tell what among his possessions were important to him. Okay, then Duncan will just stand up, kind of back up, maybe kind of go poke around the dragon a little bit, but not... he's more so just trying to get his thoughts together.
Diana will kind of... she'll watch kind of impassively when he's dragging the body over and digging a hole, and then she's gonna kind of like then just sort of like just turn and go start examining the dragon. So do me a favor roll a nature check there, Diana. Put that dragon scale down, Kevin. Dragons are magical creatures. Nope. What? They are. Nope. We're in the woods. Do you want me to roll one too, since I was poking around? Yeah, that would be... It's only a plus six, but I mean, do you want me to... It's a plus five. Also Theramak was interested in dragons, as we saw from when he kept them on.
It's not six degrees of Kevin Bacon. Like it's not... like it's... It's a 20. Together? Yeah, you guys aren't going to know much about the anatomy of dragons or what might be useful on them, or even how you would go about getting things that could be useful off the dragons safely and still retain any of their value. May I? Sorry, I didn't mean to interrupt. I apologize. No, no, no, no, not at all. If it's something like you guys are trying to loot this dragon, that's... I have a plus nine to nature, but I'm currently dealing with this, so... Dig your hole.
We're not going anywhere. We have plenty of time. This was more dunking to do with something the past time than anything else. Can I try to roll about the history of dragons? Is that the thing I could do? You could. Sure. Dragons, predominantly, it is completely within the realm of possibility to see a dragon in this vicinity. Usually they hang out in the mountains, dragons reach, Haison specifically, and you'll see them. They can swoop down by bandit's rest, and you have seen one previously in this area, so it's not out of the question. The coloring, as we talked about in the last session, is strange.
Red dragons are usually red with kind of an orange-ish or a darker red underbelly, something like that. This one has a tinge of black to it, which is strange. That's not... that's out of the norm. Historically, Diana can't think of any precedent for that. So that stands out. But other than that, dragon attacks are something that happens. They're not normally this... they don't usually just randomly attack people on the road. Usually there's some reasoning for it, and that's happened twice now. That's out of the ordinary as well. Yeah. How faintly is the black coloring?
It's actually kind of a deep black. It fades into the red, but under the wings and such. Yeah, it's very noticeable. Is it possible that the dragon that attacked us before had that same coloring and we just didn't notice it? Because we were kind of running and stuff. They already have two things in common, so I'm just wondering if there's something else. It could be. Okay. So what would Malkus be doing during this time? Malkus is just kind of helping with digging the hole. Yeah, he's... if anything, he may occasionally say short little things like "he fought well" or something like that.
But he's not really putting much ceremony into it. Yeah, kind of barely knew him. As Malkus is helping, he's gonna look up at Malkus like "through glossy eyes? There's nothing there, man." And he's gonna look and say to him "have you had the very many of your friends?" We've had our share of incidents. It's hard. I guess I've just come to expect it at a certain point. Didn't that really answer my question? Have you, personally, had to bury many of your friends? In a sense, no. But maybe one is too many. Maybe. Just maybe. Where's you, Inward? I'm sidling up to Theo.
I was gonna join you, but you can take it. Okay. So Theo's just kinda like shoulder slumped like this. In the end, Inward's just kinda nudging him. Pretty wild, right? So, the entire time all this is going on, Theo's still staring at this dragon. Theo is in shock. And he's still standing there, still holding his crossbow, still mouth agape looking at this thing. It is immense. As far as a living creature is concerned, it's kind of scary to think there's something that large that could conceivably take one bite of you and you are gone. That's it. You no longer exist in Theria.
So, Inward just asks him that and... Huh? He's very much in his stupor. He doesn't think you half turn your head, but you're not breaking eye contact with the thing you're looking at. Okay, so Duncan kinda puts his fingers in front of his face and starts snapping. Like in front of Theo. See if he snaps out of it. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. You okay? I shot Dirthak. You shot the dragon too. Yeah? Yeah, you got a lick and it's okay. Is that normal? I mean, to shoot each other? I mean, does it happen a lot? Or should I feel really bad? Because I feel bad. It's your first fight, it happens, you know.
You shouldn't feel good, but... Yeah, don't do it again, but... Yeah. I mean, it wasn't the plan. I don't wanna hit anybody. Look, I don't even use a crossbow. What do you use? Well, why didn't you tell us that? Well, I mean, you guys just assumed I don't know how to fight, so you just tossed me a crossbow and told me to shoot it. I've never shot a crossbow. Kinda spoken up. I mean, we walked a while before we found the dragon. I mean, I didn't think we'd fight anything, to be honest, for a while, and if it was, it's just gonna... Okay, Duncan's kinda shaking his head.
What? Theo, look at me. And I kinda reach up as high as I can and kinda grab his face and point it down at me. Are you paying attention, Theo? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, it's very important. It's very important, okay? What do you use? I mean, I got a sword. Okay, you have a sword. Yeah. You any good with it? I mean, like, theoretically, yeah. Like... Dragon good? Oh, so Malchus can hear us? Malchus is... What? I just pictured Malchus digging in the background and just... That's what I'm picturing. He just jams the shovel into the ground and leans on it and is dragging good.
Here's the thing with Theo and Malchus. Malchus has thoroughly busted Theo's balls in almost every exchange. Like, he's the one who started the wave thing, so Theo's kinda got a slightly more defensive tone when responding to Malchus. It's not like Malchus is bringing up not good points. It's just like... It's Malchus. Yeah, it's... I mean... Maybe I'm better with my sword than Dirthag was with... his thing. And he starts to travel. He starts to trail off. Can I make a perception there? Can I hear that? Perception check, motherfucker. Yeah, you heard that. Okay.
I'm gonna stop. I'm gonna get up. Still have the bare chest because I took the armour off. I'm gonna walk over to Theo and I'm gonna grab him. Straight guy. I'm gonna say to him... You shot a comrade in battle, regardless of whatever weapon you were using. That is something we do not do. He is dead. Respect a dead man. And then he's gonna let go and he's gonna walk away. Back to what he was doing. Do me a favour, roll an intimidate check. Oh yes, please. I have really high intimidate. This will not take much. You're literally a lion. It doesn't take much. I got a four but, you know, still high.
Oh, okay. Oops, gets enough. Oh heavens! We'll allow the picture this. Theo's around five-six. He's away from... As soon as not. As soon as a seven foot tall bipedal lion that is kind of scooping him up with his hand. Like, massive. And, yeah, that is terrifying. So, even though that is not a very high intimidate, he is not gonna push this matter. It's like, okay, yeah, alright, that's fine. Like, just kind of, yeah, he got quiet at the end of that sentence because he kind of figured it's like, that probably might, that might not go over well. So, yeah, he's gonna, he's just, he's just gonna kind of like nod his head very rapidly.
Just, hm, hm, hm, and just drop it. Duncan, after seeing that exchange, looks back at Asusu and just kind of, not, not, almost a smirk. Kind of like approving and looks back at Theo and goes, look, ditch the crossbow, use the sword. Don't hit anyone else, hit the bad guys. But, if you don't think you can take these fights, we're about to head somewhere that's gonna have a lot of fights, buddy. Yeah, that whole, I didn't think we were gonna run into a fight thing. We run into so much stuff we don't wanna fight. I've been eaten by worms, I've been punted by giants, I've been thrown into holes by kobolds, I've stepped in lava, like, dude, this is heavy.
I, and then I look up and I go, I came back from the dead. What killed you? A big fall. Okay, in my defense, I figured we'd be fighting people of the people variety, like, smaller, like he's gonna hold his hands up, like, smaller. And then he's gonna motion to the dragon, then that happened. I wasn't expecting that. I'm smaller, do you wanna fight me? Well, no, but, I mean... Okay, okay. It doesn't matter about the size. Tough things can be tall, they can be tiny, doesn't matter. And they're everywhere. If you can't take it, you need to back out now, but if you wanna go ahead, we will continue to help you out.
One, an extra sword is better than none, so... You did get a shot off, don't forget. I mean, it was, it's okay, I did pretty good. I mean, under the circumstances, you know, I did okay. I only hit someone in the party once, I mean... How many times did I hit someone in the party? In this fight? Oh, is Theo asking that? Yeah. And I turned to Gynward, Gynward, how many times have I hit somebody in the party? None times, Theo. None times? But hey, but that's okay, that's okay, we make mistakes. One time, Gynward threw one of us out a window. Well yeah, that's different, though.
Duncan says that, by the way. Gynward responded that way. Okay, okay, I'm putting the crossbow away, I'm gonna use my sword, and... I think that'll minimize that, I should be... You'll see, you'll see, I'm pretty good. I don't, I mean, I've held it a bunch. You ever killed anything with it? Just kinda held it. No, I mean... There was a rat. But... Was it at least a big rat? I think it was dead, I don't know. It looked like it twitched, I thought I killed it. Well, you know what, it was dead when you were done with it, you know? Right. So... Rats lay down a lot, right?
I mean, they, they, like... They kinda spread out, like any, he kinda motions, like someone relaxing like that sometimes? I mean... Yeah, soon soon. The glass is over. Look. The waif, uh, is gonna... Theo's gonna tighten up. He's gonna stick around, we told him we can't use a crossbow anymore. He's definitely sorry about the Dirth Egg comment, right? Yeah, I, look... I didn't, I didn't know him, I mean... Sorry. Sorry. Before we move on, before we go anywhere else, I think we should rest up a little bit. After we get settled in, we're gonna maybe see what he's made of.
Work at work with him a little bit. Yeah. Oh, yeah, I'd love to train with him. Um, but before, before we go setting up camp, uh, can I do the nature check on the dragon? Sure. Oh, this wasn't right away, this is just roleplay. This is just me asking you if you will. Oh, yeah, yeah, okay, sorry, yeah, I'm sorry for ruining roleplay then, my bad. Oh no, you're fine, go ahead. Um, so he's gonna look over at Theo and just, he's... He's side-eyeing him, but he's gonna look at Theo up and down and he's gonna be... He's gonna say, "I did not know him either, but we stood together in battle.
That is when you truly know a person through combat, and his actions showed me who he truly was." Theo, it doesn't matter whether or not if you knew him or not. The point is, he's dead now. But respect what he did for you, what he did for us. I will fight with you after some work, but if I ever am hit by your sword, not in training and in real battle, I will have to take swings at you. Um, you could say he's giving this serious thought. Okay. And then he's gonna nod and be like, "Okay." Um, this might seem insensitive, what was Dirthag using in battle?
Uh, that would be an axe. Oh, gather berries or something, just go look for stuff. Should you tell him? No, no, don't send him off by himself. Okay, good point. That's dangerous. His head rolls out of a bush. Pretty much. He runs back, "More dragons!" It was just a rabbit, hopped out after him. Uh, Theo, stay where we can see you, we gotta go take care of this, okay? How long until I start setting up camp or something, maybe? Yeah, you wanna do that? You mean like, get, like, pitch a tent and stuff? Start a fire? Start a fire, yeah. Okay, okay. Yeah, okay. Don't tell him to start a fire!
He's got this. Oh, yeah, don't start a fire. Set up, you know, you know how you put logs around, like, where a fire would be, you know? Don't set it on fire, just put the logs up, okay? Okay, got it. Cold logs. Cold logs? Some hot, steamy logs. Here's a question. When I was looking at Dirthag's stuff, could I have found some of his skull splitter or whatever? There'd be a flask that he had with him, yeah. I think that would probably be the only thing that I would even imagine taking, right? Because that's kind of... Okay, so, um... Gold. What'd you say? Gold. Oh, I don't wanna take, no.
Like I said, it was more about a sentimental thing than... Right. So, um... So I... Okay, I won't. I was gonna throw the flask at Theo. You earned it, bud. Relax. Take a load off, buddy, and just pass it over to him right now. Well, Theo's gonna get ready and start unpacking... You know, he's gonna start getting ready and trying to unpack bedrolls, and he's gonna try and make, you know, pitch the tent and do all that. So we'll check back on Theo to see how well he does that. I know. So I guess... Do you have the role for that? If you wanna do the nature check, he will, yeah.
If you wanna do the nature check, I guess now would probably be a good time. Go right ahead. Cool. He's so high, he's so high. Um, just roleplay wise, before we get into like taking shit from the dragon, I'm just gonna... I don't know what Dirthag was wearing, but if he has any kind of cloth material on it, like just take a bit of that off. And tie it around... God, my throat. And tie it around my wrist. And then put him in the hole, bury him, look at his new... now grave for a couple seconds, and then walk off again. I'll go do the nature check. I mean, inspect the dragon, 'cause this is roleplay.
Okay, do me a favour, roll a nature check. Damn it. 15. I'm at a plus 9. I'm at a plus 9. This is ridiculous. I want cool dragon stuff, no one's rolling walls. This is just expected, I'm not actually doing anything. And then he walks over, cha cha cha. Oh! Oh, he put me to shame! Kenward knows everything about dragons! So then I'm like, oh yeah, you can get this claw, this claw, and then he's just taking his head like, nah, that's not right. Oh my god. I went to butcher school for a semester. Malchus do it just for wine as well, everyone else is gone. I don't know that Malchus would know that much about dragons, but mmm okay.
You're from a house dragon, keep, I don't understand. He didn't grow up in house dragons. Well I don't know that. Malchus got a good look at Sjörd while he was running away. See, he did better than most of us. That would be interesting, that might be perplexing to, to as soon as like, how do you not know that much about dragons? Okay now we call Theo over to take a shot at it. Let's not. I just see three people around this dragon sizing up like, hmm, ah, hmm. Looking over this dragon, again you are going to notice the undercoating of black on the wings and that's not normal.
The other thing you're, you know, a thought is going to occur to Yennward is that if you were to take the time to try and strip this dragon down and take its scales. Theoretically, if you knew someone who worked with those materials, you could get some, you could get some pretty decent armor out of that. Like, black and red, it would look so cool, guys, let's do it. Two problems with this. One, the placement of this dragon is not great. You guys are next to Bandit's Rest, you are just off the road, you are, I mean, it's going to take time to do that.
Two, the weight. These are going to weigh you down. It's going to slow down travel, it's going to be exhausting. It's, yeah, weight is going to be a problem, depending on how much you want to walk away with. Okay, so just an idea to the party. How much do we trust Theo if we tell him to go back to Brightport and go to Thing's mom and, you know, get her to, get people to come handle this while we go and do the rest of what we do and then we split, you know, the profits or whatever it is? I trust him, but I was going to take it to convincing because he doesn't want to go back to Brightport.
Oh yeah, I forgot he has issues there now. I'll get him going back a load. Might not make it to Brightport. I retract my idea from the table and put it back in my head. It's a big dragon. I don't think, like, if anyone were going to mess with it, we might be able to get it on the way back and I don't know, we could get some like teeth though that shouldn't be too hard. It's just leaving it out in the open, not only to the elements, but to wildlife, maybe other dragons, and then there's people. Well, it depends on how long you're in the, it depends on how long you're in Vandus Rest.
Yeah, I'm sad. You know what, here's the deal. Unless we're planning on stripping it down and taking it back right now, we should just kind of let it go and then if it's there when we're done, then great. If it's not, what can we do? You know, like... Can we get some teeth though or something like that? Like, I want a dagger made out of a dragon's tooth. That'd be neat. Guys, come on. Would our nature checks come by, Jason? Tell us anything about dragon blood. Dragon planet. Like, we heard a little bit from here and there. Yenward would be able to kind of strip down some of this dragon a bit.
It would be a little clumsy. It would be a little... it's a delicate procedure and Yenward isn't very delicate, but he could rip out some teeth and stuff for you. I know I mentioned it as a joke, but why don't we just call Theo over and just be like, do you know anything about this thing? Because he might have high nature. Who knows? Like, we don't know. He's so enthusiastic. It's another outlet that we haven't taken and... Go for it. Why not? Okay. So Duncan puts his... he cups his mouth. Theo! Firstly, let's see how well Theo's done with the camp so far. Built a log cabin all by himself.
Okay, he rolled a one. Oh no. Alright. He's just standing there with sticks. He's got one stick in the ground, like, listen, just plonking in the ground. So he has the fabric of the tent wrapped around one of his legs. He is trying to plant the stakes in the ground. But so far, you've heard him hit his thumb four separate occasions. Tent stakes? Oh my god. As you call him over, like as you call, you can see him shake his left leg trying to get the fabric of the tent off of him. But a gentle breeze keeps wrapping it around. And it's just one of those... it's one of those really, like, frustrating things that should be easily remedied.
But for some reason, instead of just reaching down and unwrapping it, he just keeps shaking his leg more violently. And as you call his name... Huh? And so Duncan rubs his forehead frustratingly. And he kind of motions for him to come over to him. He doesn't even say anything, just kind of shakes his head and motions for him to come over. He's going to shake his leg even more violently and eventually the fabric's just going to kind of fall away. And he's going to traipse over and eventually get there. He's kind of got a walk about him that does not scream hyperintelligence.
Really? He's going to slouch over a little bit. There's a tiny bit of a slash. There's a touch of ape in there. There's a touch of, like, kind of like he bobs his head when he walks a little bit. Um... feel. What do you know about dragons? Um, like this dragon specifically? Like, what do you know? Is there anything, do you know if there's anything that we can use from this dragon? Theo's going to look over the dragon. God damn it. He has a really high nature, guys. He's a plus fifteen? Yeah. Told you he's useful. He's not completely useless. Like, there is a good reason why his nature is quite high.
And he's going to look it over. I mean, you can use the scales for armor and stuff. You could, I mean, like, you can get the claws off of it. I mean, if you really want them. I mean, you can make, like, orc-type weapons and stuff. Drain its blood. Wait, wait, wait. Why would we drain its blood? I feel like magic. I mean, if you're into that. Um, are we into that? No. Are you into that? We're not into that. What kind of magic? It uses blood. What do you think? Ooh. Not people blood. Theo is going to get ready and start rattling off a lot of things to you guys. Well, I mean, uh, I mean, there's tons of blood magic rituals that can use it.
I mean, if you're really into some powerful mojo, I mean, you could really, you could really do a lot of damage with it, actually. So, if you drain the blood. Wait, wait, wait. No, no, no, let him get into it. Let him get into it. Wait, wait, wait, wait. Okay, okay. So, what's weird is he's going to start speaking with an air of confidence that you haven't fucking seen on Theo yet. He's just going to start rattling, like he's dropping knowledge on you guys. Yammer's gob smacked. We all just slowly turn and look at Theo in shock. What, what do you know about magic?
He lived in the library all his life or something. I know a lot about magic, actually. My mom was a mage. Why do you use a sword? Aren't you magic? Yeah, I mean, like I know spells and stuff, but I mean, like, just... Okay, at this point, at this point, um, Assistant's just going to walk away. He's just going to walk away. He's going to go, he's going to go make camp by himself. Wait, wait. I'm going to grab his shoulders, Theo. Just, like, lay them out for me. Like, like, you're top five, man. What do you know? Why in the world would you be using a sword? What spells do you know, Theo?
He's looking back and forth at the two of you, like, who do I answer first? Who do I answer first? He's starting to get, like, worried. He's like... Theo, answer again word. What do you know? Well, I mean, like, I mean, you mean, like, combat stuff? Or, I mean, like, cause I know... Anything that could help us. All the abracadabri magic stuff. All of it. What do you know? Well, I mean, I can conjure lightning and, like, small storms and... I mean, like... Just raw. Just a big lion's roar in the background. He's just, like, hitting his head against the desk. Wait, wait, you can, you can conjure lightning.
Well, I mean, I could change the weather a little. Show me. Show me right now. Make it rain. Make it rain right now. He just starts, like, flipping dollar bills out of his hand. Throwing gold at Yannward. Yannward's gonna, like, put his head up in the air and stick his tongue out and he's waiting for this rain. He goes into actual slow motion and someone drops a backbeat for him. Oh my god. Okay, so, Theo is going to... He's kind of looking at you like, "You don't believe me?" "No! I don't believe you!" "It's not I don't believe you. I just want to see." Could you do something less unpleasant than making it rain as a demonstration, perhaps?
What other weather stuff can you do, Theo? Can you make it a nice breezy spring day? Oh, okay. Okay. I think I got something. And you're gonna see him concentrate for a second and then you're going to see him kind of cast his hands up into the air. And let's see how effective this is. Pfft! 28! Ain't bad. In between all of the party members here, you are going to see this lightning bolt shoot from the sky. Strike the area in between all of you. So this is... I mean, it's close, but it doesn't hit anyone. It's like our hair sticks up on end. Yeah, this is... Oh, yes, fur is going everywhere.
Yeah, it's going to strike the ground and dissipate and you're going to see some of it blatantly attracted to Stormrender. And it's going to hit the ground with this tremendous slam and you're going to hear thunder crack in the background. And it becomes evident to the party that if that were to have hit someone, that could have killed someone, maybe. Like, it could have done some real bad damage. So, okay, Theo, I'm going to just take this from you and I'm going to reach down and take his sword and just kind of chuck it into the woods. So, I'm going to need just... like, next time you run into something, do that.
But wait, he's going to start to stumble after the sword? No, no, no, I'm going to grab the back of his shirt. Come here. You're Zeus, dude. You're so much cooler than that. But that was my dad's sword. [laughter] Go get it. Don't use it. If you see anything in the woods, hit him with lightning, okay? He's going to stumble off, go get the sword, come back, and he's putting it back into the old... I'm sorry. You got dirt on it. Look, Theo, that sword is very important. So you can't use it, okay? Yeah, dude, what if it broke? Yeah. See, this always happens, man.
People find out about the magic thing and then that's all they want me to use. And it's, I mean, don't get me wrong, it's cool. I like it. It's just that's not all I'm about. Are you literally getting upset because we asked you to fight in the most effective way you can? Hey, man. [laughter] Dude, are you tough? Like, if there's a situation where somebody's laying on the ground and you can kick them in the head, cool. But do the lightning thing, too. Like, we just want you to be well-rounded, you know? Yeah, yeah. We want you to be the best... You're tough.
We want you to be the best Theo you can be. Diana's been kind of staring at Theo this entire time, like, just kind of like, one would like, would like, just like, some sort of like, experiment or something. Like, she's just like, like, watching what he's doing and stuff. And then she's just gonna kind of like, shake her head and just... Useless fucking human. Theo, Diana here knows magic. Is that loud? Oh, it would be. She doesn't care if it hears or not, so it's... yeah, that would be... Okay, he's gonna take note of that but not really say anything, just kind of like, "Hey." Like, more like...
I thought you were pretty useful. That was cool. Do we understand each other, Theo? Do we get... you get me, I get you, we're cool? Yeah, you want me to... you want me to try and be good at everything. I got it. Okay. But, but, but, but, but, mainly the lightning thing. And... I do other stuff. Right, right, but the lightning, that's your meat and potatoes, okay? Right, like, Ynward. Ynward, he's a great dancer. Do I have to run a bluff check or something for that? No, no, Ynward is a little bit... We don't know it to be untrue. Yeah, that's not it. Ynward is a... he's a... he's very smart.
He knows a lot about dragons. We know that to be untrue. Okay. Theo doesn't. And he still doesn't. 22. Is that... That's gonna be his passive insight. Ynward, he's intelligent. And by the way, this isn't a bluff. He's very attractive. He's great with the ladies. This guy, the queen, okay, loves him. Duncan also believes that to be true. I want to point that out. But... Theo's just gonna be like, "What queen?" The queen of the Overwatch. They have a queen now? Yeah, we put her in charge. We'll tell you about that later. But... But Ynward, even though he has all that other stuff going for him, when we get in battle, he hits people with Stormrender.
Because that's what he's best at. I... well, we all know how talented of a singer I am. But in addition to that, I write music. I'm a pretty good actor. He's a choreographer? I've choreographed. I'm a great seamster. I don't know who knew that. But... When I'm in battle, I use my music, okay? When you're in battle, when we're out in the world and we're adventuring, you can show us how well-rounded you are. We'll go get in some bar fights and you can pull out a dagger. You can do all that. But when we get into battle, and when our lives are on the line, out here, you need to do what you're best at.
Can I count on a lightning bolt when I need you most, Theo? Okay, yeah. I'm... okay. I think I see what you guys are saying. And he's gonna lean in. Just... there's two problems. Okay, give me the first problem. Give me the second one. Okay, I can only do that once a day. Okay, um... Is that the only thing you got? No, I do other stuff. Well, I know, but I mean, like, lightning bolt caliber. We don't mean only do lightning bolt. We mean magic. We mean focus on magic when we're fighting. You can use lightning. If you have snow, that's fine. Any of that stuff that doesn't involve you pulling out a sword or punching someone in the face or using a crossbow.
Anything like that. Well, okay. I can make people really cold. Okay. Which, in hindsight, may have come in handy with the dragon. But okay, that's... we're not focusing on previous mistakes. Spilled milk. You do realize that if you had used magic against the dragon, Dirthak might not have died. Yeah, and if you hadn't hit him with a crossbow, he might not have died. We're not focusing on negative right now, Diana. What do you think? She's just not gonna respond. She's just gonna kind of look at him like, "No shit." Like, that kind of... This is the first time that Diana and Malchus have been in total agreement on any subject.
Because Malchus... I'm just picturing the two of them standing side by side, looking as tiefling as tieflingly possible, glaring at him. Actually, this is a good... Can I run a perception check to see if Duncan notices those two back there? Sure, go right ahead. I don't think they're trying to hide it. Okay, 20. So then yes. Okay, I go to Ynward. Ynward, come here. Ynward. Yeah. Okay. Why don't you take Theo and go talk a little bit more about the magic stuff, and I'm gonna have a little powwow with our Grimnaces back here, if that's alright. Okay. Come on, Theo.
I've read a lot of books about this. Let's go. As you're... I picture you wrapping an arm around Theo's shoulders, like, taking... So... Duncan wants to talk to the tieflings in the party. Yes! The Grimnaces. Grimnaces. Malchus. Mr. and Mrs. Grimnace. The Grimni. They'll force you to walk over a ledge, I swear to God. Okay, so I go over and I approach... I just want to set a scene here too, by the way. Little tiny Duncan with his guitar and his duster approach these two tieflings. So, Diana would probably not be... With smoke coming out of their nose. Diana's not like, visibly angry, she's just kind of like... like, just this look on her face, like, this is the stupidest thing ever, and she's also probably not standing next to Malchus.
Just standing next to him. Okay, so Duncan approaches him and I go, "Look. I know how you feel. I don't... You guys don't hide your expressions very well. I can tell that you're not... they're good on Theo." And? Here's the thing. I understand that what happened in that battle was not cool, right? But... Someone died. It happens. Anyway, we found something that we can harness out of him, so maybe we should chill out on the getting angry and freaking him out thing for a little bit and just see how useful he can be to the party, because... I don't plan on not going to Bandit's Rest and we need all the help that we can get in there.
Agreed. However, someone with his caliber of intellect armed with magic... that's a bit concerning. Well, I can tell you what. He nailed that lightning and none of us got smoked from it. Got it right in the middle of us. So... Why am I not be good at shooting a crossbow? He has pretty good aim with that. How would Malkus be reacting to this? He's thinking. And... so Duncan... he's pretty sure that Diana is gonna be cool when he looks at Malkus and he goes, "Malkus, I know that you don't like him, but there's been a lot of people in this party you didn't like.
You've always worked well with him." Is he worse than Ironhide was, really? He doesn't mean he should be staying. Okay, well then that's the other option. How about we get rid of him and then we go into the party without Durthdag and without him, and then... or we go into Bandit's Rest, sorry. Without both of them. Just with us and take our best shot in there. Or we could take him and I'll be in charge. And if anything, if he does anything stupid, that gets into trouble, I'll vouch for him. And Duncan doesn't want to do it, but he's... No, don't worry. It's more of a thing where Duncan really wants to get in there and he knows what's coming, so he's just like, "Whatever it takes, we need all the help we can get." And what if he dies, Duncan?
What if we feed another one to the worms? No, we're all the better for it. Does Malkus react to Diana at all? No, he's just... that's just how Diana is at this point. Malkus ignores that entirely. Okay. Yeah, yeah, kill all humans. And... just... Fine. Do it. It's his life. It's your life. Malkus, do you have any idea why we're going into those woods? Enlighten me. Why don't we take a breath, set up shop, and maybe I'll have a nice little campfire story for you if you really want to hear it. I just don't want to do this out of anger. Duncan, of course I'll hear you out.
I just... He sat there and he fired the crossbow when he full well had a gift that could have saved Dirthag. And he did it what? Because... because... using magic doesn't fit his vision? And you know what we did? It shows a profound lack of good judgment, and you want someone like that in combat with us? Malkus, you know what we did? We took a guy out of a bar while we were drunk. And I gave him the chance to walk away from this. I told him, "You can leave now." He said he comes here and he gives this asinine explanation for why he didn't cast a single spell or even notify us that he could have had a useful way to help us fight him.
Look, he's human. You can't really expect anything else. And this is Duncan's mission, for lack of a better term. Just... let Duncan do this, and if it doesn't work out a second time, then we can gladly get rid of Theo. Like I said, it's his life and it's your life and your responsibility to look after him if that's what you want. Know that I'll be standing as far away from him as possible. He's reckless. He's a danger. Agreed on that point. Then let's just go back, guys. Screw it. Let's go back. Let's go back to Brightport. Let's sit on our asses. Let's just go.
Let's wait, try to find somebody else that can help us. Try to find... Stop acting like a child. We're going to go out there and we're going to do this for you. But stop throwing down ultimatums that have nothing to do with the discussion. Damn, you are a man-child. And he just walks away. Diana's just kind of going to turn to Duncan just to say, "He is an asshole. Don't pay attention to him." Look, I gotta clear the air. I gotta get this out. No. Let's go for it. It's whatever you need to say or... Let's... give me... let's try to get everybody to the part.
I don't want to do this again. You guys deserve to know what we're fighting for. She'll nod. Just... I... understand that feeling. Let's... let's shoot over to Yenward and Theo here for a second. The second they get far enough away, Theo's gonna kind of... not elbow Yenward, but just kind of get his attention. "Hey. Do you think she's right? Do you think I could've... I mean, do you think I should've used the magic with the dragon?" "I mean, do you think that would've done anything to save... save the orc?" Yenward's gonna pause for a second and just kind of look in the distance.
And he's gonna put his hand on his shoulder. He's like, "Look. After you do this long enough, things you could've done..." "You know, I could've done a hundred different things that could've made it better for us." "Sometimes you fuck up. You know? But you gotta move on." "I could've done something different in that dragon fight." "Duncan could've done something different. Diana could've done something different." "It's not all on you. So we'll sweat it." "Okay. Look. Um. So my mom was a mage, and, you know, I just kind of grew up around it my whole life, and..." "I mean, she was really good.
I just... I mean, I know the stuff. I just... I don't... I've never really practiced with it." "All that. I mean, I just don't... It's never been my thing. Like, that was always her thing, and..." "My dad always kind of pressured me to be, you know, more of a man-about-town type, and kind of get into the family business, but..." "I mean, I could practice more." "Sure. Can I ask you a question?" "Yeah. No. Sure. Yeah. Go." "What do you mean by the 'family business'?" "Oh. Um. My dad ran this, uh, like a protection racket." "Oh?" "Oh. Oh. Sorry." "Okay. Where is he now?" "Oh, he's dead." "Oh.
I'm sorry." "Uh, I mean, you know, he... He lived to be pretty old. I mean, he had a good run, I guess. I mean, you know, I miss him and all. It's just..." "Sure. Do you still keep in touch with your mom, or..." "Yeah. I mean, yeah." "Well, I mean, it's cool that your dad wanted you to do something, but he's not here anymore, so if you want to do magic, then do magic." "Please do magic." "Okay. Um. You remember how I said there was two things?" "Oh, yeah. It was the second thing. It was Duncan's, but I'll give it to him later." "I was kind of aiming at the tree 20 yards away." "So keep that between us, okay?" "Thea's gonna start nodding.
Okay. Okay. Alright." "So, like, look. Just make sure to practice, and I'm sure you'll get better at that aim thing, and then maybe, like, after we're done with this, we can get you to your mom and maybe she can show you some stuff." "Where's your mom stay at?" "Well, I mean, she's in Esterholt, but I mean, it's... Look, that would... Trust me, that would make her really happy, but I mean, let's see how well I can do on my own first, and then if it comes to that, then I'll... I can go and have a chat with her." "Alright, that's fair." "Alright, so just keep practicing, and we'll see what you got.
You're gonna do great." "Let's see if everybody's back at camp. Come on." "Alright." "Uh, so at this point, um, Duncan would be kind of pacing back at... Is the camp set up? Have we..." "Yeah, that's what Duncan was about to say." "No one put it up. No one's like..." "I said... I walked away from the situation when we found out he could do magic, and I'm gonna go set up camp." "Yeah, that's what..." "That's true, you did." "But I was gonna ask you just now, like, do I need to roll any checks for that, or am I good?" "Um, no. C-C-Cision will be good." "We've never had to roll checks before." "Yeah, no, no, no, no, no.
Like, any..." "You guys will be a camp that you've never seen before." "No, two things. One, any adventurer who is even fucking part way decent has, like, Boy Scout experience enough to fucking set up a small camp." "Even partly halfway decent." "Partly halfway kinda sorta decent." "Damn it, D.O." "Uh... Suisun is... First of all, his people live off the land like that. Like, that's all they do is hunting and camping and shit. Like, they are the Ron Swansons of Theria." "This camp is so badass, you guys would be like, 'Oh my god.'" "There's tables set up, and..." "Is this continental breakfast for everybody?" "A little bit of the dragon meat, like, cooking that." "Sunken book Danishes!" "Okay, well then, I don't know where the rest of the party is.
I think Ynward said he's walking back to camp with Theo." "But Duncan at this point is just kind of, like, pacing back and forth in front of the fireplace, kinda get himself fired up a little bit." "Theo's gonna take a seat." "Like, he's watching a show?" "Yeah, like, he's gonna sit down on, like, a nearby log and just... And here's the thing about Theo." "He wants to be, like, he's one of those guys, he's like, 'I wanna be taken seriously, I'm gonna show these guys, I'm gonna fit in, I'm not a waif, I'm not an idiot.'" "Then he sits down and he literally sets his elbows on his knees and then tucks his fists under his chin to listen to." "And by the way, I wanna point out that, you know, the reason that Duncan is fired is not only because of what it's about, but also this is a bard's chance to tell a tale." "So, and he's never done that. Like, in front of, he's always been a singer, but he's never done the..." "Storytelling." "You know, yeah, so this is like, he's getting excited, kinda, in a weird way, not really excited, more pumped up, kinda." "What does Theo look like?" "So, Theo's kind of, he's got really close-cropped hair and he's, he's, he's young looking." "Okay." "He's not, okay, everything about the way he carries himself, the way he presents himself to the rest of the world is... ...inexperience.
He looks like a fucking rube. He looks, he looks easily taken advantage of." "To parallel him to a real-world person in terms of looks, does he look like that dude from Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure? Ted, not Bill, but Ted." "The one no one remembers?" "Yeah, that's how I'm conceiving him every time you say Theo." "That's Bill." "Yeah, sorry, I was picturing, like, a doughy chocolate elf for some reason, with a mustache, like a mohawk." "I was picturing him, like, Merlin from that, from Merlin is the thing with the huge..." "Oh, that'd be a good one." "Yeah." "But he's a wick." "Very kind of dough-eyed, kind of, kind of like a smaller dough-eyed character, like, the world is going to eat him alive." "So he's a coolie who'll take the full crack?" "Yeah, kind of." "I like Tobey Maguire from the first Spider-Man." "Kind of, yeah." "Yeah, that's how Mom pictured him." "Alright, Tobey Maguire, okay, got it." "I had a, for Soonsoon and Ynward and Theo, I had a little powwow with our friends back here, and it occurred to me that I'm about to drag you into a very dangerous situation, and you may not understand why." "And by the looks of things, even though you are aware that one of the people that were on the board is my father, from the looks of things, you may believe that this is about money, and it's a lot more than that." "Um, I guess Ynward, or I'm sorry, not Ynward, I guess Malkus, you're aware by now that Rod Swell wasn't my actual father." "And I'm waiting for a response, like, I need to know that he's paying attention." Malkus nods.
"I grew up with a group of dwarves called the Stray. I don't know if anyone here knows of them, but they're very bloodthirsty, and they have no personal attachment to things." "Everything is about just killing and money and greed, and imagine the worst of dwarves. What people assume a dwarf is. And imagine a group of nothing but that. And that's where I came from." "And from a real young age, my father Rufus, him and my mom had my brother Deacon, and then I came afterwards." "And my dad wanted to raise us in that group as these warriors, these bloodthirsty, nothing matters, kill kill kill, money money money, drink.
And I wasn't that." "When I was really young, I always, I guess you would call me a little airy, I was a bit of a dreamer. I didn't really fit in with everyone around me, you know, and when I started my training this became really apparent to my father." "And I was basically, if it was up to him I would have just been discarded. Luckily, my mother was there and she was able to protect me a little." "I still got hurt every day and I still got abused, but she took the brunt of it because she wanted to protect me. So she put herself in harm's way over and over and over again." "And one day it got so bad and she wasn't there and my dad left me unconscious." "And I don't remember much of what happened beforehand, but I do remember my mother coming and she woke, she got me.
I remember waking up to see her in my room and she said we're leaving." "And that night she was headed off, she was looking for a place for us to go and she found an inn fairly close by that would allow us to stay in the basement." "We stayed there for a couple weeks. We didn't really have a plan of where we were going and what we were going to do next. That's when I started hearing the music." "And there was a, there were the floorboards, there was a trapdoor, kind of a hidden door to the basement that I could look through it and I could see. And that's the first time I saw Rod Swell." "And he was there with a group of bards.
There were the traveling joy bottoms. And I'd watch him, and I'd watch him every night, and I'd watch him entertain people." "And I knew that this is what I wanted to be. This is why I was put here, was to do what he was doing. And after everything would close down for a couple days, the group was there." "And once the owner of the inn realized that they weren't going to run off and tell people, he started letting us come up and we'd clean and stuff like that around them." "And I'd hear that they'd play for us what we did. It was a neat little thing.
We had leftovers and that went on for a couple days." "One night I was looking through the floorboards and I saw my father. And they were there to watch Rod Swell and the other bards play. And they heckled and got drunk and had a huge fight in the bar." "And Rod Swell came over because he knew where we were and he checked on us. And my mom explained to him, 'Be very careful. I don't want them to see us because that's my husband." "And if he catches us after we leave, then he'll kill us.' So Rod Swell ended up pulling us out and we were scared, but he protected us and we got away." "And we walked for a couple days going through the woods until we found some old abandoned house and Rod Swell took us in and he taught me how to be a bard." "And in the time Rod Swell became very religious, he would travel to close towns and learn about religion.
And I would play music and I would train. And all I wanted to do was be a bard. So much that I changed my name to Duncan Joy Batam." "And I started telling everyone that I was half human because I didn't want any of my father in me anymore." "Then when I got a certain age, I expressed interest to go out on my own and adventure. My mom didn't want me to and she was scared." "But Rod Swell thought, 'If this is what you want to do, this is your calling, then go and see the world and have it be yours.' And I went. And that's when I met Malkus and that's when I joined the group and that's how I died.
That's what led to all this." "I guess the only other part of the story would be that a few weeks back when I saw Rod Swell, he told me that the reason that he came to find me was because my dad found them. My dad found the farm. I don't know how. I don't know if he was looking. But he found it and he burned it to the ground, but he pulled my mom and Rod Swell out of it. He made my mom watch this home burn to the ground and then he made Rod Swell watch it as he killed her. And then he sent Rod Swell to tell me. But I was already dead. And then for some reason I came back.
And I don't know if it's because I need to go into these woods and give my father the same treatment that he gave her and give my father payback for what he did to me. I don't know if that's why. I don't know anything. I don't know why I'm here. But if that's why, then there's no possible way that I can pass up that opportunity. I waited until I thought that we had a strong enough group to do it and I thought Dirthag and Asunsoon, I thought with that, I thought we could do it. Okay? And then we get out here, there's a fucking dragon. And everything seems to be trying to stop us.
But you know what? Today, even though Dirthag died and even though we fought a dragon, we also found out that Theo over here knows a lot more than we were given him credit for. And yeah, he's rough around the edges, but we're all rough around the edges. We all have our own problems. We all have our own things. Okay? Malchus, you're a jerk. Okay? You know that. You know you are. Yinward, I'm sorry, buddy. I love you. I love you to death. But you're not the brightest bulb in the world, you know? And Diana... Don't follow. And Diana, you know, you're great at what you do, but sometimes you're not as open to things as you could be.
And Asunsoon, I honestly don't know that much about you. I know that you're scary and I know that you're tough and I know that you seem to have a lot of pride. I know that. But I'm sure there's things in you that you don't like. And this guy here, yeah, there's things about him that are... that's a bummer and it sucks, but I mean, look at me. I'm a dwarf. I'm a dwarf who's a bard. Okay? I mean, that's ridiculous and I know it's ridiculous and I have fun out here and stuff, but we're a group of people that have come together because other people don't accept us.
And now we're gonna throw him out because he messed up? If you guys want to get rid of him, we can get rid of him. That's fine. I understand. But I just... I want us to go in as strong as we can because this might be the only reason that I came back. At that, Malchus will kind of push away from the tree that he's leaning against and walk closer to Duncan and look into Duncan's eyes and say, "Maybe you didn't come back for a reason. Maybe there's no reason behind anything that happens. Maybe it's all just random happenstance and coincidence and utter bleeding chaos.
But if what you say about your father is true, it doesn't matter whether doing this is going to make you feel better or not. We're going to go kill him because he's a bad man. That's never been contested. And if you want to give Theo here another chance because you think he's rough around the edges and he can get better, fine." And Malchus looks at Theo and he says, "And if you're still in for this, in spite of your woeful lack of good judgment in the last battle, fine." And then he looks back at Duncan and he says, "As furious as I am about how things have been going lately, you are my friend.
Honestly and sincerely. Sometimes when someone's your friend, they're going to yell at you and they're going to be furious at you because you can be wrong about things. But I am still your friend, Duncan. Because above all other things, whether you're doing the absolute best you've ever done or doing something with which I totally disagree, I know you always mean well, and I am behind you on this endeavor." And he puts out his fist at Duncan. Duncan looks up at Malchus and he had kind of a snarl on his face, but it turns into like a big, big bright smile.
"Hey Malchus, there's a reason. Because if there wasn't a reason, I wouldn't be here. I know that you don't understand that, and I know that a lot of things have happened to you in your life to make you believe that none of this means anything. That this is all meaningless, right? But everything we do, no matter how terrible the thing that we did was, eventually leads to something. People grow. People get better. Look at you. Could you imagine 17 years ago that you'd be looking down at a dwarf bard and talking about how I'm your friend? We're friends, and you came back.
You came back to us. You could have stayed. You could have stayed there and not done anything and lived out the rest of your life and been... But you didn't. You came back because you care about us. Because this is what it's about. It's about doing the right thing and it's about making impacts in people's lives, and we've done that. And you do that. You do that every day. We can change things. We can change the world. Just because we don't always do it and just because we sometimes get sidetracked doesn't mean that we can't cause this place to be better. We single-handedly traveled 17 years through time.
I came back from the dead. There's a reason that we've been brought to this exact time. And if you don't believe that, if you think that this is just all random circumstance, Malgus, I feel sorry for you. But you are my friend, and I'm so happy to hear you say that, and I'm so happy that you're going to be beside me on this. Because we're going to go in there and we're going to take down Bandit's Rest. Think about that. Half of it, I pulled these bounties off the wall and all of them are from Bandit's Rest and we're going to take them out, these bad people.
And we're going to keep doing it. And we're going to make this place better. And that's why we're here, Malgus. And I put my fist up. I bump it. Hearing all of this, Theo is going to get really excited. And he's going to stand up abruptly, "I can make ice!" And Yehward's going to go, "Yeah!" I think, yeah, we'll laugh at that. That's funny. Well done, Theo. You can tell he's just really, like he just wants to be a part of, he wants to help. That was a locker room speech and it got to Theo. That's what it is. You can make ice for our drinks. Taping off for half an hour, stuff running towards the tunnel.
Guys. Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. I'm about to hear, "Guys, I think that's been a great session." Fuck off. We just got here. Nah, I'm not done yet. It's 3 a.m. but I'm not done yet. Were you going to say something or were you just pushing it? No, that was my whole spiel because I don't want the session to end. Because I don't know when we're going to have another one. I wasn't actually going to wrap things up. I was going to ask you. No, no, because you know what Jason does at the very end of the session. All right. I didn't get to the, unless you hear me start down that path, all I said was, "Guys, let's get a drink." No, I was actually going to ask, like I was going to go to the people who didn't get a chance to speak during that and ask what would their reaction be to that.
Because I was going to say, leaning up to that, Duncan's kind of like, now that he's got everything off his chest, he's kind of bright and airy and like that, you know, it was really, he feels a whole lot better just telling people about it. Diana's not going to say anything right now. I mean, she's clearly like, definitely paying attention and everything. And just like, she's not. Kenward's always with Duncan. He was smiling and nodding the whole time. I'm just going to give him a firm, like a good look and a head shake and a nod with him. Okay. Let me ask you guys a question.
Okay. Would you like to all kind of get some rest and then... No, let's just keep going. I think we're in good shape after that fight, guys. My question specifically is, the plan is to continue into Bandit's Rest and... Yeah, yeah, he is. Okay. Let's pick up the next day. Nothing happened in the nighttime. Thank God you. Oh God. I was sweating there, man. There are two very specific reasons nothing happened. Well, there's a big dragon corpse. Oh God, there's a big fucking dragon. No one is going to mess with us. Yeah. You may find out the second reason soonish. Packing everything up, getting ready to take off.
Is there anything you guys would like to do? A zombie hand burst out of the ground suddenly. Death egg. I'm joking. Wait, wait, we got distracted by stuff. We were going to get teeth and claws in everything. Can we just say that we did that? In general, to see what's going on around in the general area, because I don't really have anything to grab off anybody that's dead or... Are we missing something? Because he's giving us a chance here. I'm just asking if there's anything you'd like to do. I don't think that... That doesn't sound... The only thing we could do is harvest the dragon.
Is there a stream in the area? Duncan can clean up a little bit. Brush his teeth maybe. Is there an outhouse? Let's get into the dirty details of where we're going. There would be River close by. Let's just say we did it. Okay, you know what, let's roll some kind of check. Perception check to see what's going on. Everybody, sound good? Yeah, I'm good at those. Oh, never mind, I got it. Almost a crit. Oh, I did crit! Holy crap, guys. That wasn't a good sound. I don't like that sound. Malchus is clearly in a deep brood right now. He's perceptionist. Morning brood. Keep in mind, Malchus has broods like hobbits have breakfasts.
There's morning brood, there's elevensies, there's... Elevensies. It doesn't have as cute a name as elevensies, but I assure you there's broods in an eleven. Diana. I would imagine you guys are stretching, doing your morning routine, you're packing everything up. Diana is just going to make out. I crit. A pair of eyes. Uh oh. In the distance, hiding behind a tree. Just barely. It's one of those things where the sun hasn't fully come up yet, and it's just one of those things like, do I actually see? And I would imagine she narrows her gaze. Yeah. There is what appears to be a female drow hiding behind a tree, watching the party.
I know one of those. How far away is she? This is a good distance away. You're probably a good 40-50 yards away. So no one else in the party notices? No. Okay. Oh, I don't know, 25 isn't good enough? Not quite. Your perception is no good here, sir. The only reason I got it is because I crit, I'm guessing. I think you should bring it to her attention. But that's the thing, like she's... Silently or something, but bring it to her attention. So she's gonna kind of, well then, the only person she needs to be able to do that would be E.C. soon. She's gonna signal towards, like walk over as if nothing's going on.
I don't know if you want me to roll bluff for that, but I can if you want me to. And just kind of like signal over to wherever. Do you see that too? Because no one else did. No, you're just crazy. No, I'm kidding. I don't know, what are you doing for real though? Is it just basically like you're saying in a low voice? It's like, hey, look over there. Yeah, yeah. Like pointing it out to him. Do I know it's not that she's pointing it out the back? Yes. Do me a favor, roll a stealth check for me. Me? No, so soon. It's morning and technically I haven't put all my armor on yet.
No, no, no. This is a very specific. All right, all right, all right. I'm only a plus three, that's why. Oh, okay. Oh, 14 though. 17 years old. That's not bad. Could have been a lot worse. So soon is going to notice this, this female drow, peering out from behind a tree. And as soon as as soon as soon looks, she is going to duck back behind the tree. Duncan, sorry, out of character, Duncan. Dan. How high is your intimidation? My intimidate? 11. Let's not intimidate people. I don't. My diplomacy is 11. She was watching us while we might have been camping while we were asleep.
And now it's morning and now she's there. So intimidating or charisma, whatever it is. That's why I asked like, like to confront. I'm good with diplomacy. How you control people's minds, can't you just like grab her over mentally and pull her over? No, I can't do that. I have streetwise I could check to see if she has drugs. No, I have a plus 19 to disclose again. You don't really get any more ideas. Like, what do you think? What are you suggesting? My suggestion was like, if Dan or I could roll high enough intimidate check to get said drought out of hiding.
That was just my idea. I was thinking more like this. Because I have high in that. That's why I thought maybe. So here's what we're looking at. Either we go, hey, hey, you get out of there. Or we go, hey, hey, girl, what's up? We're going to interact with the person. What I don't like character wise is the fact that she was spying on us or watching us. So that's why I would go the intimidation route. Well, you know what? I mean, I think we're metagaming too much. What assumes you come over and say Duncan yell. I don't but he doesn't really know about your intimidate.
Well, before he does that, Diana would kind of like call out. Just like if you're there, you can come out. Do me a favor. Roll a diplomacy check. Thirty three. I'm just grabbing my weapon just in case, by the way. Preemptively. Do me a favor, actually. Everyone in the party roll a perception check. Okay. My team. It's not bad for me. Nailed it. Brooding. Still brooding over here. Look, guys, different people, different gifts. All right. That's like an angel from Buffy level of brood, like just just tortured soul locked away. There's a palpable darkness surrounding me, obscuring my vision.
He's got like the thinker pose. Oh, hey, what about a clove cigarette? Actually, it's higher than. Okay, that was about the same as Diana. Diana, Diana, Yanward and Theo are going to look over and see this this drow woman step out from behind the tree. And she is she's going to she's going to step out from the tree here. And it's kind of tentative, but she knows she knows she's been spotted and she's going to start to step toward the camp. So soon and Duncan are going to notice that and something else. There are going to be several other drow figures that step out from various points surrounding the camp.
And they are all going to start to march toward. I'm going to say I'm I don't know. I don't know. To the party. No, I don't. Look, the way I see it. Follow me, Kelsey. We've been camping this year. You wouldn't have walked out like that. I'm seeing I woke up and these peeps is watching over me. Not cool. Like, character wise, I'm ready to fight. Character wise, do your thing. Well, OK, so so soon is just going to shout ambush, right? Yeah. So these individuals are going to continue to march toward the camp. No weapons drawn. Nothing like that. But there is going to be a slight hesitation when Sassoon shouts ambush just to see if you draw weapons.
I mean, if Malchus hears ambush, he just manifests his blade. All right. Because he thinks he trusts Sassoon that there might be an ambush. Right. That makes total sense. Yeah. This woman is going to signal to her party to halt and everyone's going to stop. And they're all just eyeballing this camp. A couple of the drow are going to draw crossbows, but no one's going to fire. And she's going to call out, put your weapons away, and they're they're going to glance over at her and then slowly put their crossbows away. And she is going to approach the party with hands open and up just to show that she doesn't.
She doesn't have hidden blade. She doesn't have feet on her at 12 o'clock, just straight at her. Forgive me. We didn't mean to make you apprehensive. Well, you failed. Right now, the party is surrounded by about 15 drow. If they're putting their weapons down, Malchus will let his blade dissipate. Diana kind of like put like moved her in closer to her staff, but like never touch it. Like her eyes are just like like she's like staring at the woman, like waiting for her to move. I'm still firmly gripping my sword. I don't know these people. I don't think I've ever actually seen this many drow in one place.
So security points me out. Is there a way that we could roll to see if we recognize her? Yeah, go ahead. Would that be a perception? Yes. My perception sucks. Everyone's this. Yay. So that's more like it. Oh, sweet. 24. Duncan will barely, barely remember someone back in the Overwatch who looked like this drow. Just barely. And it's someone who hung around Ora a lot. Okay. Um, Duncan notices that Asun's still gripping his blade and he just kind of goes, hang on a sec. I think we, I think I know her. You think? Hang on. Do I? Or I know you from Overwatch, right? I know you from the Overwatch.
She's going to give this really deep bow. Again, we don't mean you any harm. If we did, you'd all be dead by now. Hah. Sinzun does not like that. He don't like me. I don't like it either. As is the way of things. Um. Tan's going to kind of grin at that. Like she's like amused. Like just yeah. And so I guess he goes, you, uh, it was Ora, right? You hung out with your, and I'm right, right? I have been with her for many years. Yes. Actually, she sends me here with a message. We were supposed to watch you. It looked like you were going through the woods. We thought that could be entertaining.
Hah. Can't blame you for that. After you're finished doing whatever it is that you're doing here, your presence is requested in the city of Fair Bay. Lady Ora-Clad would like to speak with you about a matter that's quite sensitive. Interesting. Is it? I look over at Yenward. Hahaha. Just. What? Are we in trouble? Hahaha. Um, Theo's going to start to edge over toward Yenward and start to sort of hide behind him. Hahaha. How close do I know, man? No, I'm holding firm. I'm looking at them. Damn it, Theo, you little bastard. Hahaha. I'll get you next time, Theo. Hahaha.
I'm not at liberty to speak on the matter. Suffice it to say, she said it would be worth your while to visit her. She told me to inform you that it would be quite lucrative for your group. Ooh. Okay. It's a very intriguing offer. Lucrative means money, right? Yes. So wait. Wait, where do we have to go afterwards? Fair Bay. It's on the way to Esterhul's. Conveniently. Hmm. I have a question. And there's fifteen of you, right? Oh, go ahead. Who sends fifteen dro into the woods to deliver an invitation? It's bandits' rest. It isn't exactly the safest place in the world.
Actually, we were intrigued as to why you didn't have more in your party. You wanna join us? Hahaha. Room for fifteen more. Hahaha. I rolled a three-nine diplomacy. Hahaha. Just sitting there. Don't wanna waste it. It'd be fun. It'd be fun. I doubt that you can afford us. Hahaha. Do you like portions of bounties? Because we can split this more directions. Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. How specific to this group is what you need? How do you mean? I mean, obviously this is something that is, that is, that is, uh, centric, right?
Like, you need us. Us centric. Nice. Your presence was requested specifically. Yes. Okay. So what you're saying is, is that if we don't show up, somebody's not gonna be very happy with you, correct? I would say they would be less happy with you. I'm just saying that it would look really good to your boss, or your friend, sorry, I didn't say your boss, that wasn't, it would look really good to your friend, if we showed up in a timely manner and we showed up in one piece, right? This sounds dangerously close to blackmail. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. Here's my thing.
We have a mission right now that we need to make sure gets taken care of. I'm not trying to blackmail you, you can go on your way. I'm just saying that I'm nervous about going into these woods, but that's what we're doing. And if you wanted to help us out and come with us and make sure that we get delivered correctly, I think that's a win for everybody. It looks certainly expedite matters, though I'm sure you have other duties as well. If all things considered, it may be the most efficient route. We were sent here for a purpose. It isn't to babysit you.
If you're who she is truly looking for, we feel like you'd have no problem in executing your mission and then returning to Fair Bay when you're done. That being said, and she's going to look to the rest of this party, we were intrigued about something else. Whoa? The dragon. What about it? Did it randomly attack you or did you pick a fight? It attacked us and this is not the first time this has happened. We were on our way to the side of the continent from the west and the same thing happened except that time we managed to get away. Well that is very intriguing.
I must agree with you. Do you know anything about the dragon? That specific dragon? No. Yeah. Well, yeah. No. What about the marks on it? I heard that was weird. The marks on it. The coloration. She's going to look over at it and it appears to be a red dragon. There's black if you get closer. A significant amount. She's going to keep eye contact with a lot of you but sort of side step over to the dragon and then with a great amount of heft try and lift up one of these wings. Can I motion the yin word to help her? Sure. Like just try to go. Come on, bro. Help her out.
If she's doing that, Diana will motion to kind of like put down Stormender if he's going to go. Give it to Theo. Give it to her. Oh, 27 athletics. Yeah, the yin word will lift this up with ease. Hmmm. Scary, right? We need to go. Oh hey, what? We wish you all the luck on your mission and again return to the city at your earliest convenience. Understood. Before that, mate, I asked your name. Just if you don't wish to give it, that's fine, of course. She's going to give a slight smile at that and then Val, I'm Meila. I am Diana. It's been a pleasure. Zero interest though in sharing your observations about the dragon?
She found it interesting. It is interesting. We've had similar attacks, though this was much further to the south west. Similar differences in coloration as well? I don't really know anything about the coloration. I just know about the attacks. We've never seen dragons in that area of the mainland and it's calls for concern. That is indeed concerning. We'd love to use this stuff, but it's just too much for us to carry. Wish there was like fifteen of us or something. She's going to stop in mid-stride as you say that. And then she's going to motion for one of her people to come closer and she's going to whisper something in his ear.
And then several of the drow are going to descend upon this dragon and start to dismantle it. Nice. I don't know if they're dismantling it for us. There might be enough for everyone. Oh wow, are you guys going to take that there and meet us there with it? That's awesome you guys. You're half right, we are going to take it. Oh, sorry. I don't care if they just diplomasize us off of missions. Let me tell you what I'm going to do before I do it just so you guys don't think I'm just being a dick for the sake of being a dick. Sisun does not know these people. You guys do.
But they've just come in. She's just said that about taking it. I'm not allowed, I'm not going to allow, I'm going to talk to her, trying to intimidate her, about taking our kill and also the thing that killed my friend air quotes. So that's what I'm going to, I'm going to be angry at her basically. So I'm totally justified. Cool. Yeah, no, it makes sense. Go for it. Again, knowing full well that he's being, he looked like looking around, knowing that he's being traced by all these archers, Sisun's going to slowly step forward to this woman and say, you will do no such thing.
This is our kill. She is okay. Should I, no I'm asking you. Are you, what tone of voice is it just sort of that tone of voice? Baritone tone of voice because like he's being so... Well then roll an activity check. All right. Here's to the gods. Big lion face. This goes out to you. Oh you motherfucker. You motherfucker. Oh my god. That sounds like a great spot. That was inside. And I think this is the perfect time to end the session. No you rolled an insight, you didn't roll an intimidate. Yeah you rolled an insight. Okay so, cool. Yes. I have another chance. My bad.
And still terrible. And still absolute shit. You won't take it. No, it's ours. One second. Firstly, Theo with his big furry wall not there, he is going to sidestep toward Duncan and just kind of bend down a little bit. Duncan, Duncan looks behind him and just gives him a firm thumbs up. Like we got this. Meila is going to fold her hands in front of each other and very passive stance. And this smile is going to come across her face. We congratulate you on your kill. Now your own party member just said that you can't carry it with you and we are in the middle of something.
We can use these scales to our advantage. It's not really about what you deserve, it's about what you can take. What? It's better for it to be used by a single person. No, no, no, no, I'm not having it. I'm not having you talking down to me and shit. It's easier, we can't make use of it. Wait, that wasn't in character. No it was. No, no, no. He wants to use an accent. It's better for someone to make use of it if we can and besides these people are likely to be our allies in the near future. Slow, shallow breathing and he's going to side eye Fuge. What is her name?
Diana. No, Diana. And he's going to say to her, "Do you steal from your allies?" They aren't stealing it. They are taking what we left because we can't use it. And we're going to come back for it. Sorry, out of character. Is that what's really happening? Or are they straight up jacking us? We can't carry it, we already determined that. You can't carry it, no you can't carry it right now. And we could have come back for it. Are they jacking us? Yes. Oh they're taking it. They're flat out taking it. Okay then you understand why I'm not allowed. Even though I understand.
No, no, I understand completely. I just played character. You're not being an asshole. No you're not being an asshole. I don't want to be that guy. So Duncan sees this all going down and he thinks he's got a rapport with her. Okay, so as normal I'm going to run the check beforehand because I want to know how he's going to say it. If he's going to be crappy or not and he's going to be okay, right? That's okay? Well, yeah for now just say what you're going to say then we'll check. Because the easiest way to do this is how they interpret it. Whether you say what you... yeah.
Okay, so then Duncan goes, "Look, look, look, look, look. Asun-Tun. He's a very proud man and he likes to... this is our kill. We did this. But, but I'm not saying that we can't work something out. We just don't think that it's a great way to enter a relationship. You know, us help you, you help us, by you coming and taking the whole thing for yourself. So I think that's where we're going with this. I kind of agree. I mean we weren't going to be able to carry the whole thing, but maybe we can come back over time and get a little bit. And we were just asking for help, but I mean is there something maybe that could ease tensions between both sides?
Oh, sorry. Not a reaction, my bad. She is going to... she's going to step forward. And Isun-Tun dwarfs this woman. She's approaching six feet. Very slender. But yeah, Isun-Tun still towers over by a little more than a foot. And she's going to look directly up at him. You really do need to be careful with something like pride. It's a bit of a double-edged sword. While it can be beneficial, it could also get you killed. As far as the dragon goes, we could really use that right about now, like I said. Consider it a down payment of good faith. But what... we need some good faith too.
Could we... She's going to look around at her party. Did you ever question why you weren't attacked in the night? Because we're tough and scary? Because we just killed a dragon and people didn't want to mess with us? I assume in part it was because you were here, and if that's the case, it's much appreciated. Nobody asked them to be here. And you, dwarf, you don't speak for me. This is our kill. We fought it. We killed it. We take what we want. We do not need to barter with you. You had no hand in this. She's going to step one step closer to Isun. There is a gap.
Again, her hands are folded over her. There is no fear in this woman's eyes. She's gunning for a pimple, I swear. Dude, don't. You'll end up dead. Then by all means, take it from us. Take it from you, it's ours. I don't like this. I don't like... look, look, I don't like... look. Okay, I have a character. I'm just so pissed off right now. How dare they? Can I ask the world a question? Yes, please. Okay. How much armor or things is the dragon going to make? Oh, this is large enough that you could probably outfit most of the party in certain things. Not full. Like, okay, there'd be plenty to get Isun and Yenward full decked out, head to toe, Red Dragon scale armor.
And then there'd be enough for overlays for Malchus and the rest of the party. So you'd all be getting something out of this. I've got a question. Do I know of any Dro genocide magic devices? Asking for a friend. Dro and Typhlings. Hit me back about that because actually... I know, but there is a thing, actually. I remember. That was on the Living and Theory thing. What is it? Because the Aladzor didn't like them. You guys, okay, okay, listeners, listeners, for the record, I am not in the market for a second genocide. I want to get that off my chest. Group three already has the Drow killing down.
Can I ask the right question? You've got to get them when they're young. That's their shtick. You don't want to steal it. After Dan asks his question, can I make a charisma check? Just to settle things, because like... Just to make one last point, if the charisma check is shit, I'll accept it and walk away, but... Can I make a... diplomacy check off the Duncan and Alexis's question? I have a question. I'm still holding up this wang. Can I just decide to pluck it off like a turkey leg and just leave with it? Yeah, that's not... Yeah, this is... that would require a Herculean amount of strength.
Emret's a big fella, okay. Do I need to run any kind of checks? Okay, I'll ask it first, though. What do your people need from our dragon? The dragon? What are you going to do with it, I mean? Like, what is it used for? (sigh) If it'll make you feel any better, this will be used to craft weapons and armor. We've recently reached an impasse with some other individuals, and... It seems as though violence is going to be the natural occurrence. Who... who... who's the problem with? You should really speak with Lady Oraclad. It's not my place. This might have something to do with what we're being called in for.
Okay. Well, so, if we're going to help you out, I just want... Is there any chance that maybe we could get some weapons or armor out of it? I mean, if we're going to need to be suited up, like, I don't want this dragon to go to waste, and I think that if maybe we could, you know, after you take what you need, if there's anything... is there anything that you don't need, or is there anything that could help us, maybe we could have some of it to have for us? She's... okay, she's starting to get a little impatient, just... (sigh) She's not feeling well.
Should I run a check for that, Jason, or should I not? Um, do a diplomacy for me. Eh, 19. Again, always. Always 19. I'll tell you what. We're going to strip this dragon down. We're going to take what we get from the carcass, and bring it back to Fairbay. What Lady Oraclad decides to do with it after that is completely up to her. I will say that you will be paid handsomely if you decide to partner with us. There is also a matter of the Minotaur. I was told to remind him there was some sort of dealing with him and Lady Oraclad, though I really don't know anything about that.
I was told to tell you that money is not an object. Okay. I've got an idea. Yinward, Isunsu. Go knock out a tooth. And then he looks over at the dro leader and says, "What are you going to do? Kill us?" Oh... And Malchus just starts walking over the mouth. Diana's just going to give Malchus a look. Yeah, yeah. No, no. Seeing the fact that Malchus has, um, like, taken up on himself to walk towards our kill, I will follow suit, watching his back like a real homie would. Diana's going to look to... to Mayla and just kind of just like sigh of it. Just... they're... they have their talents and abilities.
And as I'm sure you're aware of from Oraclad. And one of them is not pandering to people who threaten us. Hey, look. Teeth. Hey, but don't you... wait, wait, wait. Malchus. I'm sorry. Are you... wait, wait, wait. Are Yinward and Isunsu helping me knock a few teeth out? I got your back, G. I got your back. Yeah. I think I'm going to have to run a nature check at this point, and if it doesn't work, it's going to look really dumb. No, no, no, no. I can't. I'll use you from before. Look, look. We can just like... we can just like lop the front of a snout off and then carry that and pry the teeth out properly later.
But just like lop the front of the dragon snout off, get a top jaw full of teeth, and we can walk. I feel like doing the pestle and towel thing and just fucking up the whole thing so nobody can have it. Okay. Okay. Two things. One... Diana looks frustrated by the way. I think we're underestimating the size of this dragon. This thing could eat you, so it's not just like "whoop" or the same thing with like tearing a wing off. It's large. It seems like multiple chops. Yes. I'm just letting you know. Okay. Two... who exactly is walking over to this dragon? I'd like to know.
I'm walking over and I swear to God, Jason, if I feel an arrow in my back, everybody's dying. Everybody's dying. Diana stained by Baela. She's not... So it's Malkus Yenward is soon soon. Sorry, Kelsey, if you don't back this, it's not cool. I don't care if you're playing into character. Like, you better mind control her and like come take this shit because this ain't cool. Come take an art kill. Well, no, no, no. We don't start a fight. We just start chasing things to the right. No, she's gonna. She's gonna. Okay. Well, hold on. We're assuming a lot. Well, you know what?
I mean, I can make assumptions after being violated by these drow dirty duck skin elves. I can say that. Don't worry about it. See, Duncan's idea was that he was going to try to convince her to let Ora make the decision and then we can deal with her. But if you guys just want to start chasing... Here's the thing, Ora. Here's the key thing that you're missing for, like, okay, for my character motivation, yeah? Yeah, no, it makes sense to characterize this. You can't allow this. Totally understand. You made a decision. We've done stuff. Let's see how it plays out.
Yeah, I'm not upset with the decision. I'm just saying that's where Duncan was going with it. I don't want to say... because I don't want you to think that I'm not supporting you. I'm trying to get out of this in the, you know, so... That would be the group one method, Dan. People die. I'm playing my character in it, so boy. One thing I'd like to clarify too, they're not dark skinned. They're light skinned. These drow have been living under... Just wanted to throw that out there. I really hope that I get killed in a battle with a drow ten minutes before I meet my father.
We're not gonna fight. We're not gonna fight, guys. On a level, I'm not asking you to risk your life story-wise. All I'm saying is, character-wise, this is what I would do, gee? That's it. Let's just roleplay it. It was a joke, though. I was just joking. Let's just happen. It's not funny, then. It's not funny. Here we go. Deep breath, Dan. Come in for a hug. Come on. I'm with you, Delmar. This is some bullshit. Okay. Okay. I feel better now. I'm sorry, guys. I'm sorry. I'm really passionate about this. I'm glad. I'm glad. I like that fire. As you start marching over, towards the face of this dragon, Meili is going to raise her hand, and several crossbow bolts are going to launch, and you're going to see them strike the ground in front of the dragon.
Now, these are inches from you, guys. How would you react to that? I'm going to look towards Malkus for guidance. Malkus turns to her and says, "What's wrong? Didn't you say it's about what you can take?" I did, and I also just gave your large friend a lesson in pride. Apparently, he didn't take it to heart. Here's what's going to happen. We are going to strip this dragon down. We are going to take the useful bits of it with us, and you can choose to get in the way of that and die, or you can finish the mission you were already working on and then make all the money you can carry later on.
This really doesn't affect us one way or the other, what you choose to do, but you need to make a choice now because you're slowing us down. Cistron is going to look at the dragon, look at her, then he's going to look at Duncan, and then he's going to focus on Duncan, and he's going to say to Duncan, "You are allowing yourself to be bullied by them, albeit that we are here for you. Fine, whatever, Duncan. If you want to bend over and take it, then so be it. Just know I am not okay with this." Then he's going to follow suit with Malkus. So as soon as Asusan is starting to march away, Meyla's going to call out to him, "One second." "And she's going to march over, get directly in front of him.
I like you." "I promise you one day I will fight you and I will kill you." "We'll see. But for now, I look forward to seeing you in Fair Bay, and I really look forward to working with you." He's going to take a sniff of her just so he remembers what she smells like, and he's going to be like, "You stink." Then he's just going to kiss his teeth. Do lions kiss their teeth? I don't know, but here's a visual representation. The sucker teeth. He's going to leave, yeah. He's just going to leave because he's not about this. Is he just walking away again? Yep. "I'm walking away.
All the troubles in my life." Yeah, sorry. Yeah, she's going to continue to smile and then walk back toward this dragon. Now, Yenward. Yes. What is Yenward choosing to do here? He's waiting for her to turn his attention to him. Do I have her attention? Oh, you have her attention. I am going to tattle on you so hard when we get to Fair Bay. She's going to raise an eyebrow at that just as long as you get there. She is going to reach up and pat Yenward on the face and then walk clean by him and back to the dragon. He rejoins the party. I think Diana, though, and Duncan were still there waiting to say things to her.
Yep. Diana just kind of looks a bit really like that's over with and just do give or cloud our regards. At least some of us are looking forward to meeting in Fair Bay. I'm sure the rest of you will come around when you hear what she has to say. I have no doubt of that. She's going to smile again. Guys, I think that's a good time for us to stop for the night. Why we always got to get robbed, Jason? I don't know. Why do you? No, guys, it's OK. We're going to get a ton of awesome stuff when we meet up. The first thing Ora-Khal better say to me when I walk in her room is, "Here's your dragon mittens, Yenward." This is done.
There's no bad luck between you and me, by the way. Think about it like this. I don't know if you've ever been clubbing with your homie and then the bouncer says something to you that pisses you off. And then you have your homies back and you're out there raging and writing for your homie, but then he's out there like a pussy or just taking it. That's what I kind of got from the situation. I didn't like it as a character, but we're cool. I understand we're fine. I hate this Group 1 stuff. We just had this big moment where we all kind of almost got together and were on the same page about something and then we immediately turned to where we're infighting again.
Hold on, hold on, hold on. I don't think it's infighting. I just think you disagree with opinions. Duncan's not going to take that well. Let me explain what Duncan sees. Duncan sees that he just poured his heart out to everybody. He sat there and told him his entire life story about what's going on and we're about to go in here and do this. But a dragon was more important than that. That's not what Dan sees. That's what Duncan sees. Hey guys. So normally what I would do is just kind of have a little after-session cooldown type of thing, but this goes on for a while.
And it's actually kind of a heated, interesting discussion about Duncan's motivations and the rest of the party. And how Suisun is kind of in direct conflict with Duncan and what he wants to do, albeit not trying to be, just kind of by his nature. So it's really long, so I just decided to throw that in Patreon as bonus content along with pre-show stuff and all that. So if that's something that interests you, you can swing on by patreon.com/daanddr and check it out. If not, it doesn't affect the story. It's purely bonus stuff. So thank you very much and we hope you enjoyed today's episode. episode.
