Going around the table, start with Lisa. Hey, I'm Lisa and I play Elorath Beestinger, the halfling barbarian. And Kira. Hi, I'm Kira, I play Ingrid Pike, the gnome sorcerer. And Laron. Hi, I'm Laron and I play Cole Dulphang, a long-toothed shifter druid. And Valerie. Hey, I'm Valerie and I play Sora Greywing, the halfling ranger. And Karen. Hi, I'm Karen and I play Justine, a werewolf warpriest. Wow, that was a tongue twister. Well, we're gonna get to that. Last time... Do we know for sure you're a werewolf yet? You have to live to be a werewolf. Oh, thanks, thanks.
Oh, we're not. Shots fired? Mike, it's Rob. Okay, if there's any danger going on. Yeah, capes wish to walk away. Last time on the show, you guys decided that it was not responsible or feasible for you to stay in that attic for much longer. If you were to become under attack from all sides, you figured that it would be pretty easy to get to you guys. So it was put to the group, "Where should you go?" And it was suggested that Town Hall would be the most fortified area in town that you would be able to get to. Town Hall was not that far away, but because of the werewolf threat, it took you a while to get there.
The party was essentially split with Ingrid and Josephine going one way and the rest of the party and the children going the other, circling around back of town. The rest of the party got to Town Hall and was sort of waiting on Ingrid and Josephine. They had more trouble as one of the werewolves was sort of stalking them through town and eventually just gave full on chase through the center. Eventually, sadly, Josephine was bitten and pretty much mauled and is now lying just a few dozen feet, like 20 feet or so away from Town Hall, bleeding out. Sora decided to stay out of Town Hall as Cole and the rest of the party closed the doors on them and ended up tackling the werewolf by herself.
Now, through sheer luck or adrenaline or however you'd like to put it, Sora landed a killing blow on this werewolf and that is where we're going to pick things up right now. Let's start with the rest of the party. These doors are going to shut and slam and it's going to make quite a bit of noise. These are large double doors. What would you all like to do? Well, I remember from last time I had done a perception roll to see if Josephine had made it in behind me and I didn't know yet. So Ingrid is going to hear the door slam, take a moment to turn around and look and just ask, "Where's Josephine?" She was right behind me.
Cole's going to turn around and head further in the hall and just start looking or help start helping Elrath barricade the door. Elrath, do me a favor. Roll an athletics check. Okay. Can I aid since I'm helping? You sure can. Alright. Damn. Okay. Well, you got plus two. Oh, well, good thing. So Elrath is going to start to drag over. There's kind of large pews, these big wooden benches. And Elrath is going to start to drag one over and Cole's going to lift up the other end and together they're going to slowly make their way over to the big double doors with this large heavy bench.
After a few seconds, Kaylee is going to move from the kids over to the front door where you guys are. And she's got her voice lowered. And you can tell it's just so she's not going to scare the other two. She's going to ask loud enough for the party to hear but not yell. Where's Sora? Ingrid's also going to kind of look around and realize Sora also not there. And just look at Cole. Where are they? Cole's going to take a deep breath and then look at the two. Joe was bitten and Sora went out to deal with the wolf. By herself? Cole's just going to give that look that basically says what the fuck do you think?
And Ingrid's going to shrug like, it's not like we haven't followed Sora into doing stupid shit before. They didn't make it inside. Sora's resourceful. She'll find her way back in. Before or after she gets bitten. So Sora wasn't bitten. Do we know? Sorry. Could we tell that? Or were we too busy closing the doors to see? At the time Cole would have seen. Okay. She got off my shoulders and left the hall as I was closing the doors. Do we know if Joe's dead? She's been bitten. That's not dead. It may not be. But if we let her in, we will be. Even if she makes it, I can't take that chance.
They both risked their lives to save us. We have to give them a chance. Sora hasn't even been bitten. If we lock these doors, that's a death sentence for them. They're not going to get away. What would you do? What would you do then? Tell me. If you were in our- if you were in my situation right now, knowing good and damn well who we have to protect, what would you do? I would try to give them a fighting chance. If they didn't do that for us, we would be dead right now. Cole's going to take a deep breath and just exhale with the raise of his head. Like I said, Sora's resourceful.
She'll find a way back in. And if she has been bitten, we'll just have to deal with that. Are there windows on the door? Is there even any other way back in besides this door? Everyone do me a favor and roll a perception check. Me too or nah? Not yet. Yeah. As always, I perceive nothing. Hey, we perceive about the same. Yay! Cole's going to see, looking around this room, it's the big set of double doors, which are solid. There are no windows in them. There are no windows on the front of the building, but there are windows on the sides. And that's apparently just to let in some sun.
They're small windows and they're raised. They're quite high. They're pretty much small enough just to let in a little bit of a breeze and some sunlight, that kind of thing. There does not appear to be a back door. There does not really seem to be any rooms other than this very large one. This is just a meeting hall. That's all this is really made for. Maybe the occasional dance, something like that. But yeah, I don't think this building was intentionally built for the purposes of fending off werewolves. Okay. With that, Cole's just going to point out one of the windows.
And he's going to go back to helping Alarath barricade the door. If she heard you say that Sora would find her way in, because were you saying that to a whole party? Yeah. I'd imagine you're all standing here. Okay. I imagine. Okay. So if she heard that, then she would probably look at Cole and she would say, "If Sora can find a way in, so can they. Maybe we should just open the doors real quick and see if she'll come in real quick. We can open it for a second or two." And if Cole gestured toward the window, Ingrid's going to look at him and say, "How exactly do you think she's going to get up there if she'll even fit?" And then Cole's just going to point...
What's the oldest girl's name? Kaylee. Okay. And Sora's just going to point at Kaylee and her sister the same way she got them. And then he's just going to turn at Alarath. It'll hold. Those windows should be fine for now. If you want to take a peek, just to feel better, I'm not opposed to that. But if she wants to, but if she refuses to come, or if she wants us to help Josephine inside this place, that's not something I'm willing to do. I'm going to need a boost. I assume she's too short to reach the windows, right? If they're high up. She's not very tall.
Yeah, you would need a boost to get to one of the windows. Let's do something. Let's catch up with Sora and Josephine. So, with a healing check of 15, you are going to be able to stop this bleeding, and Josephine's going to stabilize. So that's what you're shooting for right now. Okay. Sora's going to dig into her pack and find some bandages, and things of that nature. And she's going to try and fumble around with them and put them all over these deep, deep wounds, running along Josephine's collarbone and neck. And the blood is so perfuse that the bandages are just slipping through Sora's fingers as she tries desperately to stop this bleeding.
And unfortunately, she is not going to be able to do so. You are guessing that Josephine has precious few minutes left to live at this rate. Sora will kind of yell under her breath, "Damn it!" And then she's going to try to drag Josephine over to the front door of town hall. Okay. Do me a favor and roll an athletics check. Another thing I'm not good at. Josephine is going to lie there as Sora scoops her hands underneath of Josephine's armpits and just starts to drag. And Sora is almost horizontal. She is putting all of her weight behind it. And Josephine is just going to slowly lurch backward.
And there's going to be this horrific sound of her armor just dragging limply against the dirt. And you are quite literally inching your way toward town hall. Here's what we're going to do. Every round or so, I'm going to roll a flat d6. And that is how much blood loss that Josephine is going to suffer until she completely drains out and dies outright. How much blood does she have? She has 57 hit points and right now she is wounded by 68. So when she gets to -85, she's dead. Now, stabilizing in combat essentially just stopped her from bleeding out in combat.
The problem is the second that all that's over, she still needs to be healed. That doesn't stop all the blood loss. That just means she isn't going to die outright in combat. So that is 5 damage. So you're at -73 right now. Who's going to give Elorath a boost inside? I would assume somebody who's not me. Kaylee would help her. Okay. Alright, so let's see. Roll an athletics check for her. That's a 12. That's not amazing. Do me a favor. Roll an athletics check. Okay. Come on, DICE. Be better than last time. Let's go. Mother, are you kidding me? That's the exact same!
Oh, I hate so much. The good news is Elorath is going to get a boost and reach this window. The bad news is she is going to dangle from the opening of this window. Oh, okay. She leaped off the shoulders. She's just holding there. Just feet kicking. Didn't know Elorath was a demon. I know. I didn't realize she was a - Okay, sorry. Go for it. So that's kind of a problem. That's alright. So, some time's going to go by here, I guess. And I'm going to have you roll another athletics check for me. Don't fail me again. That's a little better? Okay. So Elorath is going to crawl through this window.
She is small enough that she will fit through it, so that's cool. Okay, so that means Sora would probably fit through it. Yes. So that's good news. Now you're going to go head first through this window and wriggle your way to the other side. Now, what is the plan here? Are you just going to drop off the side of the building? Oh, I just wanted to see if I could see them. I just wanted to peek out. Okay. So do me a favor, roll a perception check. Okay. Do do do do do. There we go. One better each time. The problem is the way these windows are positioned. Elorath can't see the front of the building very clearly.
Okay. Elorath is going to see... She doesn't see a lot of activity, which is either a very good sign or a very bad sign. She is going to see spatterings of blood from where she is, though. And she is going to hear this dragging sound. And that's all she'll see. Okay. Well then she'll probably drop back down on the inside. Okay. Do I need to make a skill for that? No, no, no. Falling is easy. A skill. Do I need to make a skill? No, you don't need to make a skill. Just make one from scratch. You got all the ingredients. Hey. So she'll probably just drop down, assuming that Kaylee is no longer standing beneath her.
Right. Yeah. She'll be hovering by the window just to see if you're okay. Okay. And so she'll drop down and she'll say, "I couldn't see them. All I could see was blood. And I heard something dragging. So I don't know if she's okay or not." Blood and dragging doesn't sound... That doesn't sound very good. No. But I didn't hear any growling or anything like that. Or... Chewing? Kaylee's just gonna look down. That last word was gonna be kind of like in a lower tone. Like, does that necessarily mean they are not chewed on? Right. But I don't remember them dragging anybody else.
Maybe they dragged her off to eat her. But... Last time they didn't. It was just right where it happened. She's trying to be really tactful because the last time was Kaylee's dad. Right. And she knows. She knows what's up. Yeah. So I'm just trying to be... Elrath is trying to be tactful even though she is not. Yeah. So that's her way of... Ingrid's just trying to... She... Elrath is not charismatic. So she's just trying to like... where it happened. Jason, is there anything else in this room that I could like... Pick up by myself to help barricade the door? Because I like to imagine this is what Cole is doing while Ingrid and Elrath are discussing things.
There's some smaller chairs and things like that. They're kind of a heavier wood. So they're really well made. So those would be heavy, but you could pick them up. Or drag them. Okay. So do me a favor and roll an athletics check. Okay. Okay. So while they're talking, it's going to be sort of interrupted intermittently with spurts of this large wooden seat being drug against the floor. So it's something you can... it's an attention grabber. So every time Cole tries to pull it toward the door, it's kind of a "brrrr". Just kind of a horrific scraping sound. Yeah, and I imagine he'll probably mutter the word "fuck" under his breath every time that happens.
That sounds Cole-ish. Yep. Okay. Sora? Yes. Are you going to continue to try and drag Josephine? Yes. Okay. Do me a favor and roll an athletics check. What? Sora is going to continue to drag Josephine's heavy body. Not because Josephine is heavy, but because in comparison to a tiny person like Sora. And again, that dragging sound is going to persist. Do me a favor, roll a perception check. Oh no. Sora's going to hear a noise. From a distance away. Sounds like maybe it's on the edge of town. Maybe a little further. There's enough for there to be quite an echo. There's going to be a long and loud howl.
What would Sora like to do? Keep dragging. Well, as of now, you are about ten feet from the front door of town hall. Oh, okay. Okay, so maybe I'll let Josephine down gently. And then go over to the door and I am going to pound on the door just to make sure they hear it. But I'm not going to say anything. Okay, so you're just going to pound on the door. Yeah. So from inside the building, I don't think there's a perception check needed to hear this pounding at the door. Did any of us hear the wolf howl though? You know what? Let's do a perception check. Alright, I'm changing my dice colors.
This is ridiculous. Maybe that'll help. I rolled one because I was bored. As always, I perceive nothing. Well, Cole is going to hear it. So Cole is going to hear that howl. I don't know if he's going to relay that to the rest of the group. Cole would relay it to the rest of the group. He's not an asshole. Okay. And then you're going to hear the pounding at the front door. Okay. Cole is going to gently knock back. Sora? Yeah? You're going to hear a knock from the other side. Okay. We should have figured out a secret knock. I mean, I think Sora's going to be kind of confused.
So she'll knock again? I mean, yeah, because she doesn't want to make more noise than she has to. She doesn't want to yell. So I guess she would just knock on the door again. Like, can I do a confused knock? Like knock, knock, knock? Knock, knock, question mark? Alright, so from inside, you're going to hear a confused knock back. Okay. Are there like any crevices between the doors? No, they're pretty, it's pretty well controlled. Can we shout out through the door? Oh, sure. Please don't. Ingrid's going to go over and... Who's there? My God. Who is it? It's going to have to come back later?
Trying to escape? It sounds dumb, but we don't know who's out the door, so... From inside, you're going to hear that, Sora. Okay, at this point. She's getting a little frustrated because they like still haven't opened the door. And she's just gonna yell back, but not too loud. It's Sora and Josephine. Who else would it be? She needs help. Kaylee's gonna run over to the front door and without saying a word, just kind of look, look directly at Cole. That's a sign they're okay. Let's... Ingrid's actually going to push her back and go through the door. Cole said Josephine was bitten.
Was she bitten? Up until this point, Sora has been in... like she's had so much adrenaline, she didn't even stop to think about Josephine being bitten. So, she's going to look back towards Josephine. And she's kind of going to have a sort of flashback, remembering seeing Josephine bitten. She's going to turn back to the door and she's going to say, "She wasn't bitten, but she's really hurt." Bullshit. Does Cole actually say that? Yes. Ingrid's going to look at Cole. You definitely saw her bitten. Not scratched, not anything else. She was bitten? I know what I saw.
She was bitten. That's the reason why Sora went out there. Sora, and Cole's going to project this, there are windows in the side of the hall. They're big enough for you to get in. I just heard the howl of the alpha. I suggest you get inside. Just open the door. She's right there. Sora will yell back. Not without Joe. And Ingrid's going to say, "Sora, if she's been bitten, we can't have her in here." We went through all of this to save these kids and you want to bring somebody who's been bitten in here to eat them now? Can I roll a history check to see what I know about werewolves?
You guys have already done that. Okay. Do I know how long it takes for someone to turn? You know it varies from person to person. And do I know how they turn when there's stress and stuff? Again, stress, excitement, that kind of thing. You would know cursory knowledge from the last time you checked. You wouldn't have any new information. We didn't have a very good history roll on werewolves. Kaylee would try to push her way toward the door. Look, there's no reason not to let them inside. We can deal with... And she's going to lower her voice just a bit. We can deal with Josephine when she's in.
We can take a look at her wounds. We can see if she's actually bitten or not. And Ingrid's going to look at her and say, "If she's bitten and she's inside, it will be too late. We don't know if she'll turn." So she'll look at her and say, "Do you really want to take that chance with your sister's safety?" She's going to look down for a moment. I wouldn't let anything happen to her. But those two risked their lives to save us. And they're right on the other side of that door. We can't just let them die. I don't want to let them die, but if Josephine's bitten and is bleeding out, she's already dying.
It might be kinder to let her die than turn into a werewolf. I highly doubt she'd want to become a monster. Even if she was bitten, it doesn't necessarily mean she's going to turn. Do you know that for sure? Again, are you willing to risk your sister's life on this? Can we just stop arguing and open the fucking door? No. I'm dying out there right now. She can fit through a window. She might not have time to fit through a window. She had time to leave the town hall. She has time to fit in through the window if she just leaves her. And Ingrid's going to look at Alarith and say, "I don't like it.
I don't. But if we bring her in here and she turns, she'll have risked everything for nothing. We'll have risked everything for nothing." So we tie her up. What's good stuff going to do against a werewolf? You know good and damn well that's not going to help. We have no silver. We have nothing to deal with this properly. Are none of the weapons hanging on the wall silver? You can give an inspection. Okay. Is that perception? Do me a favor. Roll perception. Yeah. Alright. Let's see. Fourteen. Taking a look around, these weapons appear to be largely decorative. They could be used in combat, but you get the sense that with this town's history, they're not exactly going to leave any silver weapons they have just strewn about the walls.
Fair point, I guess. On the other side of this door, Sora, Josephine. Sora, you're going to notice that there is a long pause in between conversation now. Josephine, do me a favor. Roll a flat d6. One more damage. Sora, you're going to notice that Josephine is going to give this little cough. And you are going to see where the bandages that you have sort of loosely put over some of her wounds are not doing the job. She is continuing to bleed out. What would you like to do? Can Sora try another heal check? Yeah, you can give it another go if you like. Yeah, because I feel like she'd just keep trying even though it wasn't working.
Right. You have enough bandages in your pack to give this one more go. Oh, like... Again, Sora is trying in earnest to get this bleeding to stop. And she does just not have the skill to do that. Josephine is going to continue to bleed just feet away from the entrance of town hall. Sora is going to run back to the door and start pounding on it more vigorously. And she's going to say, "Guys, I really need your help with this!" You need to get inside through the window. Kaylee is going to move to the front door and she is going to try and start to pull back at the large bench.
Pounce. *gasp* Okay, you're going to attack her? Well, I'm going to restrain her. Sorry. Wrong choice of words. Okay. Sora is like, "The fuck?" Okay. So let's do that. Do me a favor and roll to grab her. What would that be? Athletics? This would be a strength check. Okay. Versus your replies. Alright. Oh shit. That'll restrain her. So how are you... Okay, how are you going to restrain her? I'm grabbing her by the arms and I'm making sure that she's in front of me so that when she kicks, because I know that she probably will, it'll be outward so that it won't necessarily affect me or my grasp on her.
Okay, she is going to react negatively to this off the bat. Mm-hmm. And she is going to try and jerk and pull away wildly. And she's going to say, "Get your fucking hands off me." If he's got her restrained and Elorath can see that, she's going to move for that bench. And Ingrid's going to just try through the door one more time. Sora, please, just go to the window. Please. Get back inside. When you say Elorath is going to move for the bench, how do you mean? Oh, to move it out of the way. To do what Kaylee was going to do. Because she just wants to get them the fuck inside so that we can deal with it after we're all safe inside.
Okay. So if Cole is busy with one person... You can't try diplomacy check on your own party. Damn it. You can't force their will against the... Ugh, wouldn't that be handy? That's why it doesn't exist. I know, but I had to ask. Okay, here is the scene. Kaylee is going to reach for this bench, and Cole is going to come up from behind her and grab her arms. She is going to start to curse and tug violently. Ingrid is going to continue to yell to Sora from within side, "Just go around, just go around." And in the meantime... In the meantime, Elorath is going to grab at this bench and start to pull.
Do me a favor, Elorath. Roll an athletics check for me. That's been going so well for me tonight. Okay. Holy shit! I just flexed, I don't know why. I was like, "Yes!" In real life. You deserve a flex after that dice roll. Thank you! Elorath is going to jerk at this bench in one smooth motion and lift one end of it up. And the chair that was sitting, the heavier one that Cole was lifting, is going to tumble off the other end of it. And make a horrific clattering noise as this wood just kind of tumbles over. And if Elorath wants to remove what's barring the door itself in the handles, one of these doors could be opened.
She would, because she just wants to get Sora, and possibly Josephine, I don't know, but she wants to get Sora the fuck inside. And since Ingrid's right there, she's going to look at Elorath and be like, "No, please don't. We have to keep everyone else in here safe." "I just want them in here. We can deal with the problem when they're in here." "I do too, but we have to make priorities, and right now we still have to prioritize the people we're trying to save." She's going to be lifting that thing off the handle as we're talking. "I just got to get them the fuck inside." Two things.
Yes. One, I'm going to have Kaylee roll an athletics check to see if she can get away from Cole. So this will be her athletics versus Cole's fortitude. So she's going to have to roll pretty high, to be honest. That's not going to happen. So she is going to viciously just jerk and tug and not be able to get away from Cole. Sora? Yes. Actually, everybody in the party except for Sora and Josephine, do me a favor and roll a perception check. While everyone's obviously going to hear all of this furniture clatter and tumble and all that, that's going to make just an ungodly racket. [laughs] And obviously you are all going to see Elorath pull this bench back.
You're going to see her reach for the door. I would like to ask everybody except for Elorath, what would they be doing? Are you going to say anything? Ingrid is obviously, but Cole, specifically, what are you going to say? To who? To what? To Elorath. Well, at the sight of Elorath pulling the...making such noise by pulling the stuff away from the door, he's going to inwardly cringe because he knows what that could possibly mean. But he's just going to look at Elorath and just go, "Elorath, please." I imagine this is happening as she's reaching for the barring mechanism, whatever we put there.
And she's just going to look at him and she's going to be like, "It's quicker this way." And she's going to take it out. It isn't safer though. It could be. She's just going to look, if you say that, she's just going to be like, she'll cringe and almost look apologetic, but then she's going to pull it off anyway. Ingrid's just going to throw up her hands. This...we can't...what was the point? And she's going to just walk away because she's pretty much resigned herself that they're all going to die at this point. Soram? Yep. Do me a favor and roll a perception check.
Sorah's going to hear a couple of things. One, Sorah's going to hear this terrible racket after momentary silence of speaking to the party. As she's speaking to Ingrid, there is going to...it's going to sound like someone has just tossed a boatload of furniture across the room. And it's going to sound like someone is fiddling with this door on the other side. And then she's going to hear another noise from behind her. No. It's going to sound like several figures in the dark are growling. What would you like to do? Well, I had a plan before you brought that up, but...
Oh shit. Um...well...she's pretty sure that they're going to open up the door. So...how close does she...like are the figures? Would you say that she turns around and looks... Yeah. Okay. Do me a favor and roll a perception check. Sorah's going to turn around and immediately pan her eyes over this main street. And again, the fog is very tough to see through. But she can most certainly hear several figures. And it sounds like they're coming from the opposite end of the town, but it sounds like they are moving very swiftly. After the growling, she can almost hear this echoing sniff, as if several werewolves have paused, smelled the air, and can tell where all of this blood is coming from.
And it sounds like they are closing in on Sorah's location very quickly. From inside the building, Elarath would just be flinging this door open. Uh...maybe not flinging. Right, but opening... But yeah, she'll probably try to just like crack the door. Can we roll perception to hear the noise, what's happening outside? Um...you can...this would be tough to pick up if you're inside, but do me a favor. If you guys roll really high, then yeah, you might pick up some of this. *gasp* Yes! Wow! Suck my dick, werewolves! *laughing* This might not be as good as you think!
Sorry! As Elarath goes to open this door, just as it starts to crack, just a tiny bit, she is going to hear that growling sound. And then she's going to hear movement. And she can tell that it is not Sorah nor Josephine. Only Elarath heard that? Only Elarath heard that one. Could...I suppose it would be too difficult to hear or to gauge a distance from inside the building. You just said that it's outside and it's behind. As soon as Sorah heard that they might be opening the door, she would be going towards Joe and then trying to drag her closer. Would I have heard her moving away then?
With that nat 20? I mean, she thinks that the door is about to be opened, so... If Sorah, all the noise is just an indication, it's like, "Okay, they're opening this door, let's speed this up." Yeah. Okay. Then, yes, Elarath would have heard Sorah move away from the door. Fuck. She'll probably still open it, but then try and peek out to see where they are. Okay, do me a favor, roll a perception. I guess, yeah, I mean... *whispering* I'm never gonna get another nat 20. Ooh, that's pretty damn close, though. Elarath is going to look out into the foggy night and spot Sorah huddled by Josephine.
And they're about ten feet away. Okay. Sorah, do me a favor, roll an athletics check. Please, please, please, please. You're going to spot Sorah struggling to get Josephine to move at all. I mean, struggling. It appears as though she might just be exhausted after getting her as far as she did. Okay. What would you like to do? Okay. She's going to turn to Ingrid. Or did Ingrid walk all the way away? Uh, Ingrid would have disengaged, but I don't know that she would have walked that far away. Okay. Well, if she's still close enough, Elarath is just going to look over her shoulder and just say "Gimme ten seconds." And then she's going to go out and try to help.
And I assume that Ingrid can know, like, "Gimme ten seconds," and close the fucking door. How loud do you say that? Um... It would probably be loud enough probably for both of you, but I assumed that you were too busy, so she would have just looked right at Ingrid. Just "Gimme ten seconds." And then she'll go out. Ingrid's just going to just nod. Cole's going to let go of the girl and head to the portion of the door where Elarath opened it. (Whispering) Is Cole going to do anything else? Cole is going to watch and see what Elarath is trying to do. Okay. Elarath, what is your plan?
Get Sora. Just grab Sora. Yes, initially to try and grab Sora. And if Sora won't come, then she's going to grab Josephine, but her immediate thing is going to be Sora. Now. Let's go. Okay. Do me a favor, roll a strength check. Okay. 18 is not going to beat Sora's reflex, so this would be a thing where you grab at Sora and she would shake away. Okay, then grab the other arm or something, I guess. Let's go. Okay. Do me a favor, roll an athletics check. Both of us or just me? Um, both of you. Okay. Oh fuck off! Sorry, excuse me. No, no, no. Well, it's better that there's two of you.
So you are going to slowly continue to drag Josephine to this door. Everyone. Do me a favor, roll a perception check. And by the way, it's not that Josephine's that heavy, it's dead weight. It's dead weight covered in heavy armor. Not technically dead. I hate all of you. Love you. Pew pew. 15, 13. Elorath and Sora. Oh shit. Elorath and Sora are going to hear sounds coming from the opposite end of town, and the noises of these wolves are closing in. And the gap between you two is not nearly as large as you would hope it would be. And while you're dragging Josephine, you're going to look up.
Oh. And you're going to see the fog start to part. How far away are we from the door? You are about five feet away from this door, and these wolves are about 50 feet away from you. They're running on all fours, and it appears as though there are several of them. You're going to hear them growl and snarl. You're going to hear the ground beneath them just tear as they sink their talons into the dirt and stride towards you. Josephine, do me a favor, roll a flat d6. As you jerk Josephine toward this door, she is going to start to cough violently. And she is bleeding profusely from her mouth and these wounds along her neck.
She does not have long to live. Mechanically speaking, that's going to take her to negative 80 hit points. She has five remaining. How long has it been since Eloraf left the town hall? It's been seconds. How many? About ten. No! Okay. I'm closing the door, and Cole is going to do it with one of those expressions where he closes his eyes, as if he really doesn't want to do this. But he has no choice. He's closing the door. And Ingrid's going to look. Just warn them. Warn them first. Please, just tell them to come inside. Give them a second. Warn them, at least. Please.
Cole's going to nod. Hurry up. Can we hear that? And Ingrid's going to yell, "Get inside! Get inside right now! You don't have any more time. You've got to come now." Kaylee's going to try and leave the building. What? Girl, no. And unless someone tries to restrain her, she's going to leave and try to help them get Josephine inside. Oh, girl. Ingrid's going to try and restrain her. At least with reasoning? Can I use different words? I'm going to try to restrain her. With reasoning! Well, she's technically not part of the party. She is an NPC, but that doesn't...
Yeah, I mean, there is a diplomacy check involved, yeah. But it's a high one because of everything that's at stake. I will give it a try. Go ahead. And Ingrid's just going to move in front of her and just say, "Please, just stop and think about this. You have a sister to take care of. We're trying to save you. You can't do this. Even Alarath said that we needed to close the door behind her after a certain point. She knew what she went out to, and we've warned them. Don't go out there. Do you want to leave your sister, an orphan, alone?" Do me a favor and roll a diplomacy check.
Fuck yeah. Oh my god. I fucking love you, Ingrid. For the listeners, that was a crit 20. Yes. Kaylee's going to be visibly upset. And you can tell that every Fybirver wants to leave this building and go help them. But she's going to stop. And very flustered, she's going to walk away from this door. And go back over to Shaw and Lucia. Outside, are you cutting and running with Josephine, or are you going to continue to drag? Alarath's going to look at Sora. "We have to go." Fuck. Because that's what she's going to do. She's going to be like "We have to go!" and then she's going to drop the arm or whatever she was holding.
And say "Come on." I know that Sora doesn't really have a moment to spare, but... She's going to... Fuck. She's going to close her eyes. Take a breath. And just whisper "I'm sorry, Joe." And she is going to turn and run into the townhouse. Is Alarath going to? "Yes." So, Sora and Alarath are going to cross the threshold of Town Hall. What would the party like to do after that? "Close the door." "Once they get inside." "Yes." You're going to re-barricade everything? "Yes." Do me a favor while I athletics check. Alarath, do you want to help me with this? "Yeah.
I feel like as soon as she got inside and Sora was in there, she'd do it." I'll assist, since you have the hire. So this is my assist roll. Damn. Okay. What a bad time to roll though. Yeah. You two are going to start to replace what was taken away from the door. And there's a large halberd that's been placed in between the handles of the door to keep it from swinging open accidentally. Everything else is just large wooden seating. That's been strewn about the opening here just to keep something from pounding its way inside easily. And just as you were...just as you were placing the last bit of it, you were going to hear these wolves get to the front door and slam over and over into it.
As if three or four of them have run headlong into this door using their full body weight against it. Do me a favor and roll a perception check. Oh, now I roll well. Thanks. Yep. That's how that works. Shenanigans. Everyone in the party is going to hear several of these figures circle around the front after the initial slamming of the front door. It appears as though it's going to hold. Thank god. And then you're going to hear a metallic dragging sound as the wolves carry Josephine's body feet away from the door enough so that they can surround her. And they're going to tear her lifeless body limb from limb.
Ingrid will legit just be crying at this point and probably curled up in a ball somewhere on the floor. It's going to be really weird, but Elorath is going to go over to Sora and just wrap her in like the biggest bear hug. And just say, "You did everything you could. I'm proud of you." And then Sora's going to actually kind of shake out of her grip and say, "Don't touch me." Okay. Cole's going to take a seat in front of the barricade. Can we still hear the wolves? Oh yeah. After Sora tells Elorath not to touch her, Elorath will probably just look at her and nod and then go and sit by Cole.
If he'll let her. He will. Okay. And as she sits down she'll just whisper, "I'm sorry. I had to try." You did what you could. Yeah. Thanks. At that, Cole's just going to glance her way. For what? Being nice after I failed. I appreciate it. *sigh* I'm going to tell you what I told Sora a few days ago. You can't save everyone. So just be glad that you begat- be- So just be glad that we were able to say who we could. She's going to probably pull her knees up to her chin and just wrap her arms around her knees and just say, "You're right." "It just sucks." I know.
What would Sora be doing right now? She'd be sitting down in one of the pews that was farthest away from everybody. And she'd just be sitting down on it. Looking down. And she is crying and tears are running down her cheeks but she's not making any noise. Everyone do me a favor and roll a perception check. Sora and Cole are going to hear these wolves outside very clearly. And taking a listen it sounds like there are at least seven, maybe up to nine of them. And intermittently they are going to slam against this door or rake their claws against it. But thankfully the doors that are keeping them outside are much more sturdy than the ones that led into the house you were in previously.
And it appears as though it's going to hold for a while. You're going to hear them circle the building. And you're going to hear one of them leap up the side and sort of jam its head into the window that Elorath had tried to climb out earlier just to get a look. And its head is going to fit through but not much else. And it is going to bark and snap and try to force its body through. And after a few moments of figuring out that that's not going to happen, it's going to back out and fall back down the side of the building. Thank god. Kaylee's going to be huddled with Lucia and Shaw.
And in the corner with them she's going to wrap her arms around them after that and just sort of try to console them. And both Soar and Cole are going to be able to see that she is openly crying. So it appears as though for now you guys are relatively safe. Yes. Cole A) knows better than to try and console and B) is nowhere near in the right mind to do so. So he's just going to stay by the door. Yeah, Elorath will just sit there next to him, slightly pouting. And just generally really upset but keeping it inside. Time is going to go by for the group. And minutes are going to turn into hours.
About three or four hours are going to go by. The banging in the door is not going to cease. Every once in a while one of the wolves will try and fit through one of the windows. And that's not going to work. This door is taking a beating. And every once in a while one of these wolves are going to slam into it. And you're going to hear an ever so subtle crack or split from the wood. Is there anything else inside the hall we can use as leverage? You've pretty much barricaded everything that you can against it. And this is just the very early signs of it showing distress.
But you have several of these things banging against the door relentlessly for hours. Yeah, Kosh is going to stay by the door and possibly use his own weight against the door whenever there is banging to help. Yeah, if Elorath gets up it'll be just to go grab her flail and then come right back to the door. Because she can at least focus on that and be ready. Well, as of now, it is the fifth day of Thorn. And it's still very, very early in the morning and you are... you're hours away from sunrise. Is there anything that you guys would like to do before we move on?
Cry. Yeah, pretty much. Do me a favor, everyone roll a perception check. Cole, Elorath, Sora are all going to feel something. They're going to feel the... they're going to feel the ground shake beneath their feet. And this lasts for several seconds. And it takes Ingrid a long time to catch on. But eventually every single party member is going to feel this. And then it's going to stop. There are no other sounds accompanying it. There is a brief halt of the wolves outside. And then they're going to continue their business of trying to beat down this door. With the same intensity?
Or is it like a renewed fervor? Like maybe they're scared of some huge power coming their way to decimate them? Doesn't sound like it. Damn it. I tried. Good try. I appreciate it. It's going to feel to Cole and Sora like that was some sort of earthquake. And the thing is, earthquakes are extremely rare. But the wolves don't care. The wolves don't care. Elorath's probably just going to look at Cole and just grip her foil even tighter for a minute. Yeah, Cole will probably nod as if getting ready for something and will prepare until I lean against the door. Mhm.
What would Sora and Ingrid be doing? Ingrid is going to have tried to collect herself a bit. And she'll look over at Cole and Elorath. Is there anything I can do to help right now? Do you have anything to help barricade? My staff? Talking spell-wise, maybe. No. I mean, if there was a window maybe I could... Like at the front maybe I could cast something with an area effect, but... I don't have any spells that would barricade the door. I don't feel comfortable if you're going through one of the side windows either. Are they still circling? Every once in a while one of the wolves will break around to the side, something like that.
But as they've tried over and over again they're kind of saying that that's not going to be their way in. So have any of them... Have any others tried to come in through that window? Not that window, but others. They'll sort of climb up, try to get in, and yeah. So it would almost be pretty dangerous to try and peek again because there might be a werewolf right in your face. Right. Whack-a-maw. Fucking whack-a-maw. Paper right on the snout. No! Right. Yeah, the best I can offer at this point is if you want you can use my staff to add to the barricade. But no.
You need that for your magic. If you want to help add your weight to the door you're welcome to. Then she'll just slide down in front of the door and wedge herself into a spot. Every little bit counts. Well, certainly a little. Cole's gonna close his eyes and chuck a little bit. Kaylee... Kaylee would approach Sora after a while. Would Sora still be sitting in the same spot? I think after the little mini earthquake thing, Sora would be... And also because a couple hours have passed, Sora would be kind of leaning up against a wall. Looking still pretty melancholy, but she's not crying anymore.
So Kaylee would kind of slowly walk up to Sora and after a few moments, "I'm really sorry about your friend." Sora would keep her head down, but say, "Yeah, me too." And there's this long pause between the two of them, like... Like she maybe wants to say something else but doesn't exactly know the right words. "If I can do anything to help, please just... just let me know." Sora's actually going to look up at Kaylee and give her a bit of a sad smile. And just say, "Thank you. I really appreciate it." Hours are gonna continue to pass. Daylight is going to start to crest and then hover over the town of Lockford.
The fog outside is going to slowly dissipate. And these wolves have shown no signs of letting up on this place. Every once in a while there would be a pause and then the continued slamming and clawing and scratching and scraping. This door is taking quite a beating. Now, let's see how much of a beating it's taken. Okay. Over the course of several hours, you're going to hear this door start to flex and crack. And while you figure that it can hold up for another several hours, it might not help the fact that they know they're making progress. And every once in a while, one of them will tear at it or claw at it.
And you can hear that they're getting extremely close to making a hole. [Sora groans] Even with our... even with our assistance? Even with your assistance, your assistance isn't going to stop the door from failing eventually because there's nothing on the other side of the door to stop them from getting to the door. Now, they still have to get through your barricade. But once they're through the door, and it's just a matter of time. It's just a matter of them pushing their way through. Right. Now, if there were one or two of them, that would be a much slower process.
Like, the attic was not really sufficient to keep them out. This door and this building are a hell of a lot better. But there are several of them. And there's no other area in here where we can retreat to? This is it. Well, if you say it like that, Jason... You asked, sir. Yeah. Um... does Ingrid realize the door is failing? I think the party would realize the door is failing. She's going to look at Cole. And she'll say, "Maybe we should just go and fight them." We'll cross that bridge when we get to it. It's going to be getting to it pretty soon. Then you better start getting ready.
Oh. I'm as ready as I'm getting. Kaylee's going to grab one of these swords off the wall. And she's going to make sure that Shaw is holding his old sword. And she's going to have them, both Shaw and Lucia, huddle in the corner. And she's going to move toward the front door, but not approach the door itself. Just move toward it in case something happens. But you can tell that she's extremely tense. And sort of waiting for the worst. Everyone do me a favor and roll a perception check. Cole, Elorath, and Sora... Are going to listen to these wolves continue to beat and tear and scrape at this door.
This is going to go on for another few hours. And you're going to see little flecks and splits in this door. As every once in a while, one of them will rake at it and sink its talons through. And then they'll tear their paw back and take a tiny, tiny piece of the door with them. What would the party like to do? Would a dungeoneering check do anything? Only if the building's trapped? You can roll one. Yeah! What are you searching for? Okay, well... When we first got into the town hall, or when we learned about the town hall, I was thinking... Well, they live in an area where they know that there is werewolves and that they're an issue.
And I was thinking that there'd be some, like... Secret passage? Like an underground, like, shulker type thing. But then nothing was mentioned. But a dungeoneering check is for finding those things, right? It really is. Oh my god, if we have been sitting here this whole time. Who has the highest dungeoneering? I have a +8. +3. I have a +2. I have +5, but my rolls have been shit, so I don't want to do it. Okay. Well, wait a sec. How would Cole come up with this idea? Yeah. That's a good question. Sure, I would tell him? Would she be talking to Cole right now? Fuck me.
Would she be talking to anyone? Not really. Please? Please, dear Lord Jesus? Yeah. So, Sora is going to start to move around and look for floorboards that are out of place or listen for something that's maybe hollow beneath them. She is going to find something just behind the podium at the back of the town hall where someone would obviously stand up and speak. And it feels like there is something hollow just behind the podium itself. Can I...? Yeah, do you want to pry up these floorboards type of thing? Yes, I do. Do you have a favorite roll on Athletics check?
Oh, Jesus. Sora is going to root around here and feel that there is something, there's some kind of space, there's some kind of hollow space just behind the podium and she's going to start to pry at these floorboards here. There's kind of a tiny crack. And she is going to pull this up and with a bit of oomph, she is going to raise this tiny trap door. And there's going to be a tiny cubby hole with a sack. Can I look what's inside the sack? There appears to be about 1500 in gold pieces. Oh. And nothing else. Oh. I mean, I might just pocket all that for myself.
Just like stuff the sack under my shirt. Chink, chink, chink, chink. Um... Sora is going to not look up, but she's going to say, "Well, I found something." Can we use it to beat the werewolves? I mean, if you really want to. But you should come look. Ingrid's going to unwed the door. Yeah, I was going to suggest that Ingrid go look while... Since I'm the least useful person there. I wouldn't say that. Weight and strength wise, most assuredly the least useful person holding the door. So, Ingrid will just walk over to Sora. What did she find? Sora's going to say, "Well, first, I found this." And she's going to show Ingrid the sack and kind of open it for her so she can look inside.
Ingrid's going to look, see if any of it is silver. No, it's just a sack of gold and just be sort of like, "Well, we're all set if we survive." But I also found this. And she's just going to point down at the little hole underneath the trapdoor. How big is the hole? This would be large enough to stash like a small chest or something you're just trying to hide. In terms of people, you might be able to stash one person. A small person. See ya, guys! Deuces. Yeah. I would say look for the smallest, most defenseless of the child. The child, please. Let's just pop one of the childs in there.
Childs. Sora just hops in there and flips two middle fingers to the entire room. Fuck all y'all! Damn straight. Just hop one of the Julia childs in there. Yes. So, yes, pop a child in there. Sora's going to look up towards Lucia. She's going to look up towards Lucia and say, "That's her name, right?" Mm-hmm. Okay, just making sure. Wait, what was that? What? What is that roll, Jason? That's for me, don't worry about it. No worries. Is that for the structural integrity of the door? That's for me, don't worry about it. Oh, gosh. Okay. So, Lucia? Yeah. So, I was going to look up at Lucia and just say, "Lucia, do you want to come here for a second?" Kayla's going to be pretty concerned, but she's going to walk over with her.
Sora's going to say, "No, I don't want to scare you, but things aren't going as well as we hoped. Do you think you can hide under here for a while and wait until we tell you it's safe to come out?" Lucy's going to look up to Kaylee, and Kaylee's just going to rub her shoulders for one second and then move over to Sora. And she's going to lean down and whisper, "That isn't fair to Shaw. He's been through just as much as we have." Would Shaw even fit, though? Lucy's the smallest, she has the better chance. Would Ingrid be saying this? If she heard, yeah.
If she's close enough to be hearing, she would say that Lucy's the smallest, she has the better chance. Kaylee's going to look over at Shaw. "I'll do it if Shaw sits next to me. He can hold a weapon so if it comes to it, he can help fight." "We'll need all the help we can get." Kaylee's going to pat Sora on the shoulder and give her a look like, "Thank you." And then she's going to help Lucy tuck herself into this little hole. Everyone do me a favor, roll a perception check. Holy fuck, I perceived something. Yeah, you did. I love and hate these dice at the same time.
Everyone in the party except for Sora is going to hear these wolves attack the door, and it sort of becomes white noise eventually. After hours and hours of this, you just get used to it. But this is going to be a distinctly different sound. One of the wolves is going to sink its paws into one of these cracks and tear back. And there's going to be a large enough hole that it is going to stick its snout in through the door. And you're going to hear it sniff. And it's going to pull back and with a renewed fervor attack that hole. Have we made any headway in like, as far as the barricade?
Everything that you could possibly move in front of this door has now been moved in front of that door. Is the hole that he's poking his head through like visible or accessible? Could we whack him on the nose anytime he pops his head through? Well the problem is now that there's so much furniture in front of that door you can't reach it. Okay. That's why I was asking. Yeah. So it is visible. You can see him doing that. You can see a bit of daylight in between their constant striking and sniffing and mawing. But every time he pulls away there's the little beam of sunlight that sort of shoots through into the building.
Does anyone have a...is one of the things on the wall perhaps a rapier? Mostly it's broadswords, there's a couple of halberds, that type of thing. And again most of these are decorative weapons. It's just meant to be anything usable, like really truly usable has been taken by the townspeople and used in the great hunt, things like that. I was going to say if it was thin and pointy enough it wouldn't really matter. You could still poke him. Right. But again you have to be able to reach the door. There's like, if you picture, there's a mountain of furniture in front of this door.
Also that might just piss him off. Yeah. What would we really have to lose at that point? Our lives. Our lives are pretty much forfeit. That's pretty much the attitude that Ingrid would have at this point is that, you know, our lives are basically forfeit. We're just waiting for death. Okay. Debbie Downer. Total ray of sunshine there. So did both Cole and I see that and Ingrid? Everyone except for Sora. Yeah. Okay. I guess probably, Elorath would probably look at Cole and then probably announce to the Sora and everybody, "We need to get ready." Sora's going to kind of say to Lucy, like through the door, "Try and stay as quiet as possible." And then, like, is the podium one that's like connected to the floor or can you move it?
You can move it. I want to- Why don't we put it in front of the door? Well, it doesn't weigh much. It's just a little thing. It's really just kind of a figurehead. You kind of stand at it and speak. I want to put the podium, move it back a little bit so it's actually on top of the trapdoor. Okay. So that really doesn't require much strength at all. It's just sort of laying over top. Yeah. Okay. Kaylee's going to motion for Shaw to come near her and they're both going to stand sort of in the center. And she's going to wrap an arm around him and just tell him, you know, "Hold your sword up and get ready." What would the rest of the party like to do?
Ingrid's going to look at them and she's going to say, "I'm sorry we couldn't protect you more." Kaylee's going to look at her and just say, "You did what you could." And Ingrid will nod and just prepare herself to fight. I guess, Elrath, do you just want to stay by the door still and still try to prop it up or do you want to scoot back and assume positions and shit? Probably assume positions. Alright. I don't think us sitting there is really going to make that much of a difference. Yeah. So give me some insight as to the formation of this room. Would it be Elrath and Cole in front?
I feel like it would be like Elrath and Cole in front and then probably what, Ingrid and Sora kind of like in the middle and off to the sides because you guys are both kind of rangy type characters. Yeah, probably. And the children in the back. Yeah. As far back as we can keep them. Yeah. It's almost like a diamond type deal. Okay. Minutes are going to go by. And these walls are going to start to make real headway on this door. Once the hole was made, it's just a matter of them widening it. And they're going to tear and rip and gouge at this door. You're going to see a smaller hole on the opposite side start to form.
And they're going to start to rip and gnaw and tear at that. And at this point, one of the wolves heads is going to shoot through the hole on that door and just sort of snap into the air. And then it's going to start to pull back. You can see that its head is just a bit stuck. And it's going to start to tug and pull back and then after a moment, it's going to pull its head out of the door and then stick both of its hands through that hole and just start to pull back and try to tear the door down. Would anyone like to do anything? Can I see them well enough to try and cast a spell?
When its head is through the door, yeah. Have we had long enough to gain any of our dailies or anything back? No one's taken a full rest. I'm going to shift into my wolf form. Now the only thing holding this door from jerking wide open is obviously the halberd that is wedged in between the handles. So every time this wolf sticks its hands in and pulls back with its claws, you're going to hear the clattering of both of these doors and the steel halberd in the center just clamoring, clamoring, clamoring over and over again. And it's going to fill this town hall with just the worst racket.
It's going to echo over and over. So the second a wolf is visible, Ingrid's going to try and cast a spell. Okay. Since we're indoors, the building's stone, right? The building itself is mostly a stone and then reinforced wood in the interior and stuff like that. The door itself is going to be like a really heavy duty wood with sort of an iron reinforced bracing. So basically don't use lightning because I could set stuff on fire. Could. All right, so I'll have worse luck with this one, but then I'll try stormwalk since that's thunder damage. In theory will not burn anything down.
Okay, do me a favor, roll an attack. It is going to miss the wolf. I tried. So again, minutes are going to tick by and they are all but through this door now. On top of the door, they are going to have to get through the furniture that you've piled up, but a lot of it could be knocked down. So it's going to hold them back for just a few more minutes. At this point, the wolves are all but through this door. It is no longer going to hold them back and one of the wolves is going to stick its upper body through the hole and start to claw at the furniture in front of it.
And it's going to reach both of its arms in and use the door as a brace to pull the rest of it in. It is now perched on top of these pews and benches. And you can see another one of the wolves directly behind it, getting ready to shimmy into the same hole. I would like everyone to do me a favor and roll initiative. I thought you were going to end it there and I was like, Jesus Christ! The alpha is going to shove his way past and come in through that door and he is going to be in difficult terrain. And he's going to end his turn right about there. Werewolf 5 is going to come through and do the same thing and be right next to it.
So is Werewolf 4. And 6. Cole, your turn. Okay. Uh... Uh, alright. Sorry, it's... Um... Alright. Okay. Cole is going to move 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 spaces. Be right here. Okay. And he's going to hold his turn. Okay, well you moved so you didn't hold. Oh, well, you know. He's not going to attack. He's not going to do anything else. Okay. Right. And Wolf 1 is going to move in through the door and be hampered by the difficult terrain of all the furniture and pews and such. So that will slow him down and end his turn. Sora? Okay. So the first thing I'm going to do is put Hunter's Quarry, I guess, on the alpha.
And then I'm going to use a power called Covering Volley. It's a burst 1 within 20. And whatever is in that burst is... Yeah, targets each creature in the burst and then a creature that moves into the area before the start of your next turn takes 5 damage. And I am going to put... If werewolf 2 and werewolf 3 go into that square before the start of my next turn, they'll take 5 damage. Okay. So, let's do this. Good luck. That looks fun. And now all the dice rolls. Yeah. Please, please, please. You will miss werewolf 6, miss werewolf 1, miss werewolf 4, you will miss the alpha and you will hit werewolf 5.
So... Okay, so 13 damage to werewolf 5. Anything else? Uh... That will be it. Alright, Elrath, your turn. I'm a wolf. Okay. Now you can reach them if you move up. Yeah, I was thinking about the... Elrath is probably going to shift here. And she's going to use Roaring Challenge. Because if it hits, I make a close blast 3 secondary attack. So I'm going to target werewolf 5 with Roaring Challenge. So it's just... Oh, sorry, it just closed. Oh no, what did you do? Okay, Roaring Challenge, here we go. String of Stacey, let's do this. So that is a hit. Fuck yeah! Okay, so I'm going to do damage to that first, right?
Yep. There we go, 20 damage to the wolf. Okay, so my secondary attack, would that be the... Aha, it would be. So each... That is going to miss all of them. Okay, Ingrid, your turn. So I am going to use... Ice Dragon's Teeth, that is an area burst 1 within 10 squares. Target each creature in the burst. So, we'll give it a shot. And let's see if I can actually target all of them. Whew, okay. That is going to miss the alpha, miss werewolf 6, hit werewolf 5, miss werewolf 1, and miss werewolf 4. So 5 is taking a beating. So go ahead and roll damage for me. Only on 5.
Yes, it will automatically know. Or it should, well just take it off of everyone but 5, just in case. Okay, that is 20 damage to werewolf 5, and you have bloodied it. And the target is slowed until the end of my next turn. Werewolf number 2 is going to come through the door here and be hampered and take 5 damage. Alpha's turn. Alpha is going to close the gap between him and Ingrid. And he is going to target her and try to use his claws. That will hit. And 29 damage. And then ghost sound faded away goes into effect. Okay. And werewolf 5 is going to shift up one target Eloraf and use his claws.
That will hit. 22 damage. Nope. I'd like to do my daily, my snarling defiance. I take half damage. And I get a +2 power bonus against that. Okay, I halved the damage. Thank you. No problem. If you have something, use it. Okay. So. Okay. It just says I'm getting a +2 power bonus against that guy. To defense? Or just to attack? To attack rolls. Sweet. Okay. Number 4 is going to move in toward Cole, target him, and use claws. That is going to hit. 19 damage to Cole. Number 6 is going to move to the other side of Eloraf. Target her, use claws. That will hit. Wait, wait, wait.
Second chance. Okay, second chance. Please don't get higher. Re-roll that please. On it. So claws... Fuck. Okay. It was lower. That's okay. 13 damage though. So that's better. Cole, your turn. Okay. Fuck. Alright, well I have no choice but to target werewolf number 4 and I'm going to do grasping claws. And that, ooh that will miss. Okay. I can still move, right? Yep. Alright, I'm going to shift 1. Okay. Werewolf number 1 is going to move in toward Ingrid. And use claws. Would he even see me? Yeah. Fade away? Yes, but it's negative 5. So 20, well 20 is not going to hit your AC, right?
Probably it will. My AC is tiny, I'm made of glass. My AC is 18. Yeah. So yeah, that will hit. He gets a negative 5 though because of the invisibility. So yeah, still would hit. 19 damage is going to drop Ingrid. Sora, your turn. Okay. Wish I remembered that power. Anyway, I'm going to use twin strike. Okay. I get to hit 2 creatures. I'm going to change my Huntress Quarry to werewolf number 6, first of all. And then I'm going to use twin strike on werewolf 5 and werewolf 6. Aw, thank you. That will hit werewolf 5 and miss 6. So, damage. Okay, anything else? No, that will be it.
Elrath, your turn. Okay, I'd like to use another daily. Okay. Rage Drake's Frenzy against werewolf number 5. Okay. Okay, here we go. I'm nervous now. Fuck. But it is half damage on a miss. There you go. So, that's why. Okay, so let's see. Damage. I can at least do that part. I was like, okay, so, what does it do? Okay, sweet. Okay, and I am now raging, so until the rage ends, if I reduce an enemy to 0 hit points, I can make a melee basic attack as a free action. Okay, sweet. Umm, I'm trying to think. I don't know if she'd want to use an action point at this time, so I think that's my turn.
Alright, Ingrid, do me a favor and make a death saving throw. Okay. That's under saving throw. I think there's a spot for it, or you can just make a flat d20. That's not good. That's one failure. Werewolf number two is going to circle back around Elorath. And use its claws. And it's going to hit. 17 damage. That will bloody Elorath. Uhh, I feel like I've got something that happens. I'll look for it, I'm sorry. No, that's okay. Oh, I might have already used it, that might have been that fancy new power. Werewolf three is going to move down to Cole. Target him and use his claws. 22 will hit. 20 damage to Cole.
That will bloody Cole. Okay. Kaylee, seeing that Ingrid went down, is going to move up. Oh no. Right next to her. And try to swing the sword at the wolf. That is going to hit the wolf. Get it girl, I love her so much! Excuse me. 11 damage to the wolf. So, let's see, werewolf won 11 damage. So that's something. Werewolf alpha. Ooh, let me do one more thing. Okay. Werewolf alpha is going to target Kaylee. And use claws. That is most definitely going to hit. 28 damage to Kaylee, she is bloodied. Werewolf number five is going to target Elorath, use his claws, and hit.
Fuck you. 11 damage to Elorath. Fine. Werewolf number four is going to target Cole. Take a swing and hit. 18 damage to Cole, Cole is down. Alright. Werewolf six is going to target Elorath. Take a swing and miss. Fuck yeah. Cole, do me a favor and make a death saving throw. That is going to succeed, Cole is going to stabilize. Werewolf number one is going to target Kaylee. That is going to miss. Fuck yes. Sora, your turn. Okay. Okay, uh... I guess... I'll do... A careful attack. So let's put... Let's put... Ingrid, is your burst done? Oh yeah, that ended at the end of my last turn and I wouldn't have been able to sustain it since I'm dead.
Okay. Yeah. Okay. So... I'm going to put Hunter's Quarry on... Werewolf five. Oh, whoops. Um... And then I'll do a careful attack on it. That is going to hit. Thank goodness gracious. So, damage. 11 damage to Werewolf five. And then also Hunter's Quarry damage. That will kill Werewolf five. Ugh. Cool. Um... I don't know if I should save my action point. Okay, that'll be the end of my turn. Alright, Elrath, your turn. Okay. She's going to use... Another daily. Because this is the boss fight. Um, so she's going to target Werewolf six and use Feral Rampage. Um, which has half damage on a miss.
So here we go. Please? Are you serious? I figured it out. Okay, so half damage at least. So that's something. Okay, 16 damage. Okay. Alright, the effect is that you can shift up to your speed after the first attack. Ooh, okay. So I'm going to shift... My speed is six. She's going to shift... Let's see, one... One, two, three, four... She's going to shift right the fuck here in the corner. She cannot be surrounded by anymore goddamn werewolves. Whoa, wait, there's more. Action point. Second wind. Nice. Thought this through. So let's get you a healing surge. That's a lot though.
Ingrid, do me a favor, roll a death saving throw. Alright, Ingrid has stabilized. So both Cole and Ingrid have stabilized. Werewolf number two is going to advance towards Sora. Oh fuck, I'm sorry. I'm muted, I'm muted. Okay, wait, I have stuff. Okay. Oh, that was terrifying. Let's see, which... Yeah, okay. Weave through the fray. Trigger an enemy move adjacent to you. Effect, you can shift a number of squares equal to your wisdom modifier. So two squares, ma'am. Okay. Is my wisdom... Oh, it's two, okay. For some reason I thought it was three. Let's... Go... Away. Okay.
Anything else? Well, it's not my turn, so that's it. Right, but I mean, is there anything else as a result? Oh, no. Well, that wolf can't do anything with that, so... Werewolf three... Werewolf three is going to try to bite down on Cole. And the only hope Cole would have in this instance is that his armor would be thick enough that the werewolf would maybe miss and not bite through. That did not happen. Let's see, let's do math. Cole is not dead, but is still dying, so... Kaylee is going to try and take another swing at this wolf. Holy shit, okay, that's going to hit.
Eight damage to the wolf. Wolf number one. Werewolf alpha. Hmm. Werewolf alpha is going to take a swing at Kaylee. That is definitely going to hit. That will drop Kaylee. Kaylee's down. Okay. Werewolf number four is going to... Werewolf number four is going to bite down on Cole. That is going to hit. That will be enough to outright kill Cole. Werewolf number six is going to close in on Alarath. And claw and miss. Hell yeah. Werewolf number one is going to try and bite down on Kaylee. And that will hit. That will be enough to outright kill Kaylee. So, it's your turn.
I will... put Hunter's Quarry on... Werewolf two. And I'm going to attack him with careful attack. Yep. Cool. That is going to miss. Um... I can't use my action point yet. That will be it. Alarath, your turn. Okay. Um... She's going to target Werewolf six because he's all up in her face. And use Escalating Violence. So, let's see... That will hit. Yay! Um... Okay. Damage. Ten damage to the wolf. Okay. Um, I think that's everything I can do because I'm out of... Ingrid is stabilized. So, we're moving right along to Werewolf two. Werewolf two is going to close the gap between it and Sora.
And it's going to use claws. And it's going to miss. Werewolf number three is going to continue to be distracted by Cole. Kaylee is no more. What I would like Alarath and Sora to do is please roll a Perception check. Okay. [Sigh] [Laughing] I perceive nothing. Sora's going to hear movement coming from the outside. [Sniff] And it's going to sound like horses. And it does not sound like they are slowing as they reach the door. And it's going to sound like the clattering of armor. And then she is going to see two figures poke through the door. And it looks like they are coming in ready to fight and followed by several paladins.
And that is going to be Brianna and Poe. Guys, I think that's a pretty good time for us to stop for the night. Oh no! Oh my god. So that thing that I was rolling every once in a while is to see how quickly they were going to get to you. Four, four, four. Sorry, excuse me. Oh my god, okay. Sorry, I'm just really relieved right now. So that was a rough session. A bit. They're here. Our help is here. Can any of them resurrect the dead? Well, not entirely. Where's Julie when you need her? Well, I'm really sorry, Karen and Laran. Wait, Cole died? Like, Dyde died? Yeah.
Well, I hate to wrap things up like this, but I have to get going. Yeah. But I will, I'm going to catch up with everyone and we'll try and play in the next session and see what we're going to do. Okay? It'll have to be after Lisa's honeymoon. Sorry. Have fun in Hawaii, fuckers. Just rub it in. I'm so sorry. No, don't be sorry. Don't cry. Try not to cry. No, no, I was like, I'm so relieved. I'm not even kidding. Like, that's what I was hoping you were rolling for. I was like, please let it be Brianna. Please let that have been like them showing up through a fucking portal or something.
Was it the gate? No. Oh, okay. No, no, I had to piece together. What do you mean? No, no, no, that's not what that was. That's something completely different. One of you guessed it. Was it me? Was it? I can't tell you. Fine. So I will talk to you guys later. Yeah. Okay. Thank you guys for sitting down. All right. Okay. Bye. Bye. Bye everybody. Hey guys, Laron here.
