And now, on with the episode. Let's do that thing where we go around the table and introduce ourselves. I'm Jason, I'm the Ninja Master, going around the table starting with James. Hey, it's James. I play Dagon, the Eladrin Scion. And Alex. Hey, I'm Alex, and I play Brelin, the Halfling Bard. And Susan. Hey, it's Susan, and I play Earl of Grimnast, the Chiefling Invoker. And Xavier. Hey, I'm Xavier, and I'm playing Actaronis, the Revenant Cleric. And Ian. Hey, I'm Ian, I play Kaldin Halek, a Half-Elf Sorcerer. The road for group two has been a little rough recently.
Some might say always been a little rough. You guys set sail from Ebony Harbor and have encountered a few problems since then. You ran into a couple of icebergs, causing a large amount of damage to your ship. Then immediately after that, you ran into a storm, which completely devastated your main sail. And even after making some extensive repairs using Kaldin's ice powers and some dragon scales, you're pretty much limping into the frost basin. And that's where we left off last time. You did manage to avoid the bulk of the storm. Sadly, it did damage your ship further, and you are pretty much coasting in on fumes.
You still have your backup sail, but you will be sailing about 80 to 85% slower than you normally would. And it's pretty much enough just to get you to shore. So let me ask the party, what would you like to do here? How would you like to handle things? Get to shore, right guys? Let's keep going. Well, you have options. I mean, you could drop anchor and pretty much take a dinghy or two to shore, and then start trekking through the Northlands, albeit you're cutting most of that journey out. You've avoided the bulk of the Northlands, so it's pretty much just clearing the last couple of mountains.
And then you could get to the town of Aubrey, especially if you follow the river. We'll get to that in a minute though. Is that where we're gonna shore essentially where that river empties into the basin there? Yeah. That's where we are? Yeah. Yeah, pretty much right there. You're about a mile or two off shore. So you have some options. Your other option is to weigh out the storm and then sail back out and keep going. You would be moving far slower than you normally would have, sadly, but you would be avoiding a whole lot of the actual mainland, that trek.
So it's all up to what you'd like to do. I think I'd rather have the ship go as far as it can, even if it's slow, it's probably faster than us walking. We could probably get repairs done. Yeah, um, like where though? I mean, we could go to Aubrey, get quick repairs done, enough that we're not going so damn slow. We'd have to go to Aubrey and basically pick up supplies to fix the ship. Yeah, then we gotta hope that they have a repair guy who knows what they're doing, because, I don't know, does Aubrey receive goods from ports? They're not really a port town.
You know, they have a river. Do they have river guys? Not really river guys, but they do get people coming in from Ebony Harbor and Winterhaven eventually, or even Brightport, depending on how far. Aubrey's more of a town you stop through to get to someplace else. Okay, okay, so there's a chance. Yeah, but you never know, you could luck out. We could! We could luck out! We could luck out! I think we lucked out pretty damn hard in the Titanic graveyard up there, that was pretty cool. You haven't died yet, Brelin. Are we set on trying to salvage the ship? I mean, we got your boat, bro, we got a salvage boat.
Yeah, it's a piece of Aladdin history. It belongs to the seal. But out of character. I'm thinking, like, that might be a good negotiator for getting the armor made. We got the boat, it's a little beat up, but you can have it. Dagon's willing to give it up. Yeah, that's not our call, I feel like, right? But it's, I mean, otherwise it's got a huge gaping hole in it. We have one sail left. I'm assuming we can't float the Alayanda down the river to Aubrey. Oh no. No, so we'd have to, like, anchor it in the sort of north lands. Could we maybe take, like, a dinghy down the river so we could collect supplies if we need and move them much faster than on foot back to the ship?
Well, I would leave that decision to you once you make it to the river and you see what that's like versus around itself. Raging rapids. K10 rapids, guys, nothing too dangerous. I've done a few of those in real life. Upstream all the way to Aubrey. Yeah, up a mountain. Yeah, yeah, I'm all in favor for going deeper in the basin. Like sailing deeper? Yeah, towards Aubrey. Basically at the mouth of the river. Right. Yeah. Let's just crash it into shore. We don't need it anymore. Run it aground. I was gonna say, though, what's gonna take more time? Repairing the ship and then sailing it to Brightport?
Or leaving it here and walking or finding a way to reach Brightport by the mainland? But how much do boats cost? Because we do eventually need a boat. Ships are expensive. How much does passage cost? Well, okay, do me a favor. Everyone here, roll a history check. Can I get a bonus because I'm from Brightport? You know what? I'd give you a plus two for that. Hey, me too, bro. Oh, plus one. You're from a port city too, right, Braylon? I'm from Brightport also. Oh, that's right. I was thinking Ebony Harbor for some reason. Give me a plus two. 29, bro. What? History is my forte.
I forgot all that bardic knowledge. How about my nine? There you go. Oh, Nicole didn't see too many ships. That's me in literally every other role, so you know what, actor Onus? I'll stick with you. Thank you. You know how perfect that is? Like, Oh Nicole has never seen a ship. Okay. Literally everyone but actor Onus. Would know that passage on a ship depends on a few things. One, your standards. Now, especially in a city like Brightport, you could find passage on a ship full of scumbags, if you like, for fairly cheap. One, you're going to have to find someone who's actually risking their ship to go to another continent, which is kind of rare because the odds of you making it there and back are somewhere in the area of 30, 33%.
Something like that. Just sailing there, you get a 50/50 shot. Now that depends on your ship, the crew, how experienced everyone is, all that. But there's lots of outliers. Now, if you were to find someone who's very skilled or trustworthy, that kind of thing, reputation costs money in a city like Brightport. So if you find someone who's trustworthy, it's probably going to cost you. Now you can find a ship full of scumbags and it would cost you very little. To purchase your own ship, that's going to cost you tens of thousands of gold. Good thing Dagon's rich.
Did House Dragons have its own boat? That's what I was going to ask. Or like regulars that they deal with. They have connections with people who have ships. They didn't really, because originally it was Dark Spain, and they dealt with merchants because their main import/export is like herbs, things like that. Herbs for potions and such. So while they didn't have ships themselves, they do deal with people. And how often would... Erolove and Tessie have only communicated a couple of times in letter form, right? Yeah. So I know you sent a letter, maybe two. Yeah.
Would that be something you would have discussed? I thought that I asked, though. The answer is yes. Yes. So Erolove would know that obviously Tessie has taken over the house, and that... I thought Valis told me at the very least. Oh, well, yeah, you'd know that she'd taken over the house, but like how intimately you'd know what kind of connection she has would be up for debate. But it would stand to reason that she would at least know some sort of sailors or merchants or someone with a ship. Hey guys, you want to ask my mommy for help? Everyone does. She might owe me a favor.
I mean, your mom has a boat? Question mark? Yeah, question mark. I don't know. It's better than trying to sail this hunk of junk. No offense, captain. Oh, well, if Erolove was saying it, she wouldn't have said it like that. Yeah, what is being said in character? Well, she knows she took over House Stark's main. Should we no longer need nor want this boat, the Alayanda? I'm pretty sure at the very least we could ask my mother for help in locating another ship or if she has one. I'm not certain, but in Freiport, I do have an end with one of the main houses. Dagon will kind of look at her and then sort of survey the ship and just say, "Yeah, I don't think this ship is going to get us to the lore, and I don't think we have time to wait for it to be repaired." We'll be waiting for these armors to be fashioned.
I don't know how much time it'll take, but if they're going to be high-quality armors, it might take a while. We could try hiring people from Aubrey that could walk and carry the equipment to the boat while we wait and have the reparations started, and then as we come back, maybe, maybe they'll be done. And if at the very least, if we do get the repairs done, we could get the Alayande repaired enough to get us to Freiport. Yeah, at the very least. Let's just make sure that none of the repairmen are of elven blood. Oh, yes. Drive away with it. Let's not give them the keys.
Let's not tell them our secret. Yeah, I think, isn't this boat only known by... Not many people know that our captain here is the only guy who can drive it, or that elven blood is required to start it, basically. Put the club on the wheel. Yeah. So what about the dragon scales? Are we lugging these with us, or I guess we kind of have to? Yeah. Let's try to cut the amount of back and forth that we're doing and just go straight there with as many scales as we can. Can we search the boat for some sort of cart or something? Was this boat never designed to carry cargo?
It has a cargo haul, but it's not... it was more meant for transportation speed. It's not really meant necessarily for lugging stuff. I see. We were misusing the shit out of this boat. Oh, yeah. In every sense of the word. Just picturing empty decks and just these cross sections that are just hollow, you can see right in the bottom. You guys treated this shit like a rental car. Like you people would have a shit out of it. Is this your subtle way of saying this is why you can't have nice things? I'll just give it back to the U-Haul at Brightport. All these scratches were on it when we got in.
I'm just glad you guys got the rental insurance. Out of character, how do you guys feel about going down the river or taking a boat? I don't know. Would that be faster? Would we be able to take more if we do it that way rather than on foot? If we take a boat, if we take a dinghy down the river, we gotta bring it back. We can't just leave our dinghy in Aubrey. I think we'll have to see when we get there because someone mentioned it could be rapids or something. Oh, yeah. That's right. I feel like we're gonna be walking along the river. Yeah. Alright. Let's check it out first.
It's also the shortest path too. According to the map, at least. We'll see when we get there. Um, Jason? Is there a role I could do to see if I can fashion a sled to put all the scales on? You mean like from... From scraps of the boat that are already broken? From scraps of the boat. That's interesting. You know what? Like the sail. We could make some sort of a stretcher or something just to carry a lot of stuff on it. Yeah, something, I mean it's snow, right? So it's something to display behind us or whatever. I'm gonna give you a few different options. Okay.
Let me paint a little picture right now because you guys have limped into this basin and you are kind of dragging bits and pieces of your ship. The main sail has fallen off the boat but bits and pieces, well the mast, and then bits and pieces of the sail have actually been tangled in your boat and you're dragging it behind the rest of the ship. Classy. Oh, dude, it is not pretty. This once gorgeous ship is in desperate need of repair or it needs to be just stricken from the planet. Like one or the other. Let's give it a Viking funeral. (Laughter) I hope we find Dagon's parents on the island and they're like, "Son, what have you done with the car?" (Laughter) So what you can do is either you can try to take, each one of you take a portion of the dragon scales and add them to your packs and sort of distribute the dragon scales evenly amongst the party.
Because a good portion of them were used to repair the ship but you still have plenty to make armor. The other thing you can do is sort of grab, you can actually take the time to build sort of a, like a stretcher. Like you were taking, like one of you have fallen and you are dragging the person behind the party on bits of wood. So you can actually strap the scales down to something like that and then drag it behind you if you like. What about the barrels? Could we put like, let's say water barrels, we empty one, we put scales in it, we could just roll it.
It could be like packed. And then once we're at Aubrey we could just refill it. I don't know how barrels work but... (Laughter) I'm starting to think maybe if we could carry enough scales in our own backpacks enough to create our own personal armor it would probably be safer than being in a barrel or on a sleigh. Something that could go over a cliff or you know, just thinking disasters happen. Now to be clear, this is going to weigh your packs down quite a bit. So it's going to make the journey a little more cumbersome but... I want to wear mine like a cape.
Our quads are going to be ripped after this. (Laughter) I need to change your character art. With big on giant legs. Just Chun-Li thighs everyone. (Laughter) So that's going to make the journey a little more cumbersome but they will be safer in your pack than if you were to drag them behind you or in a barrel. It will make your individual safety a little less viable. Like let's say some, well you know what, you'll find out. Can I volunteer to carry the... He was going to say somebody falling off. That's what he was going to say. I heard it. I'm going to volunteer to carry some of the, let's say not as strong people.
Maybe our love or Brelyn's scales just to facilitate the... What? Because I'm a girl and he's little? Oh, because of your tiny tiny wrists. (Laughter) What? Your bird-like wrists. I'll let you gladly hold my scales. That's no point. Well, there is the matter of your packs can only hold so much. I'm just letting you know. I'll carry Brelyn's back? I don't know. I just looked at my character art and my wrists are really small. But your tail is thick as hell, so... Yes. Jesus Christ. (Laughter) Yep. Our love's stale as thick as hell. Oh, can I like use my tail? (Laughter) So I mean I can carry 220 max?
I'm pretty sure the scales... If you carry these with you, you guys are going to be carrying an extra like 60 to 70 pounds on top of whatever is in your bag. Shit, I'm good. I can carry my own. Good. Alright. Can I make some like really shitty dragonscale armor? Wear it and then get Armas to make it better when we get there? (Laughter) So to finalize this, you guys are disembarking and you are taking an amount of dragonscales that you can fit in each one of your packs, correct? Yes. And there are enough of you that you can load up on this dinghy. It's going to be a tight fit.
But the dinghy is actually a decent size. It will accompany the five of you. It's just going to be tight with all of your packs and gear and stuff like that. It's going to be a little cramped. It's going to be like sitting in a really crappy flight on coach. Like your legs are going to be very cramped. That's fine, I'm small. Quick Theria question and D&D question. Our bag of holding... They are not a thing. Ah, damn it. They are not a thing in Theria, no. Okay. Too fantastic. Didn't you say we had like two dinghies? There's... yes, there's two. Sorry. There are two.
So if you want to take two separate boats, you can do that. Can we also make sure that the Alleanda is not so close to shore that someone can like swim out there and get it? Because we have a lot of dragonscales left on there. Well, how far would you like to park offshore? I just hear that tone you're giving me. I know either someone's going to try and steal it or it's going to be ripped apart. You are so pessimistic. Nothing happened at Yemgar. I think we'll be okay. Yeah, Susan, nothing happened at Yemgar. That's different. Yemgar had a god watching over it and she wanted to talk to us.
Here's a frozen wasteland. Tons of people. Who the hell is out here? She might still do well. We'll trek more through here because there's Camp Icebreaker and we're fairly close to Aubrey, whereas the swamp was a big nothing. Yeah. Well, Jason said like a mile or two earlier. I think that's fair. Okay. Yeah, they're going to need a boat to get out there first. If someone can swim that far in the cold, then they deserve the boat because it's freezing. Oh, this is freezing. This is... yeah. Well, we might be leaving a dinghy right on shore for them though. Ah, shit.
Let's hide. Let's cross that bridge when we get to it. Yeah, there might not even be a dinghy when we get there. Yeah, we'll see. Let's just go. Are you taking two separate dinghies or are you packing everybody in one? I think it's best to take one, boss. Yeah. Why don't we take two and tie them together? It doesn't matter. We have two boats to take back. Yeah, if we want to make repairs or whatever, it might be good to have two though. Okay, just one. Just one. Okay, go. It happens. [laughter] So one dinghy, everyone's going to climb aboard and you are going to lower down into the icy water here.
And you have on board a couple of oars. You have your rations, your dragon scales, and everything in your packs, and all of your gear. And this dinghy's going to be weighed down a little bit, but it is more than adequate to carry you ashore. So you're going to start to paddle towards land here. And I would like everybody to do me a favor and roll a perception check. I feel like we're forgetting something. Yeah, fuck that. You know, it's not me versus you guys, Susan. You don't have to worry about- It's us versus the world. I see everything because I critted on my perception for the first time in my life. [laughter] Almost a crit.
Alrighty. Here we go. Actor Ronis Aralov, Dagon, and Brelan, of course. Nearing shore. You guys are going to see a few things. One, this looks to be a pretty barren, frozen wasteland. There doesn't seem to be much in the way of wildlife, at least from where you're sitting. There does not seem to be much in the way of any form of life. You don't see any people, anything. Nothing. You're going to see a patch of land that you could get to. A lot of it's kind of surrounded by bits of ice and stuff. It kind of chunks up, especially near shore. But you could see where you could take this dinghy right to shore, and with relative ease, you could get out and pull it in.
The other option is that you're going to see where the water kind of funnels inward toward a river. And all of you, except for Kaldin, are going to see that it looks like the river is heading in the direction that you were going in. And it also looks to be, while the water looks to be moving a little faster, it looks to be pretty easily navigated. And it looks to be wide enough that you could fit the dinghy in there, and there wouldn't be too much danger of you running against rocks or running aground. The choice is completely yours. Did you say that the current was going inland?
Yes. I don't know if Actoronus knows, but that's kind of unusual. Yeah, it is. Can we do an arcana check? Well, I guess Actoronus thinks it's not pretty natural. I'll make a nature check. Oh boy. Nice, looks pretty normal to you, right? Yeah, totally. I'll do an arcana check. I think we're at sea level. 27. That's pretty damn unusual. Good call. Good call. That is actually really unusual. Usually rivers kind of open out into the ocean, like they funnel out that way. So for it to be going inland is strange. And Dagon is sort of guessing that perhaps it has something to do with magic.
Maybe there's something. It's definitely not a natural occurrence. It doesn't seem like it would be. I wonder if Aubrey or someone in Aubrey or something like that has a spell to control the current to move supplies quickly down the river. I've been to Aubrey. Should I make a roll to see if that's actually a thing? You could do a streetwise check. Maybe Breland should do it. That sounds like an airlove thing because she just suggested it. She's a giant. Breland doesn't know anything. Breland's just like, "Oh look, water! So cool, I can actually see stuff. I'm not picking my nose this time." Let's see if airlove works.
Nope. That was a crit failure. Okay, Kaldin, roll something. I didn't see anything. Also, can we make it that Kaldin didn't see anything because he's kind of seasick and might be leaning over the side of the stingy a little bit? I'm holding your hair. I'll rub his back. It's okay, buddy. It's alright. It is gross. Oh, that was real. That was too real. [laughter] So what do you guys want to do? Not go there. Breland's going to look to Dingo. I'm going to say, "Hey, Cap. I'm pretty sure that we're really heavy for this stingy and if we try and traverse crazy looking water..." I'm assuming you've told us that the water looks a little strange.
"...and if we try to traverse crazy looking water with extra weight on this dingy, I don't see us going anywhere but underwater." And we don't know what's upriver. We don't know if it becomes rapids or if it encounters rocks. We just know what we see right now. There's an almost positive magic at hand, but perhaps we should bring the dingy ashore and go find out what's going on before we actually decide to sail down the unknown. Yeah, I would go for the safety of land for a change. I think I've had enough sailing for a little while. I too have had enough of the sea.
Yeah, we all know that. Why don't we follow the river on shore as far as it'll allow us to? What do you think? That would be safest? It's your call, man. No, it isn't. This is a democracy. I abstain my vote. We could. We have rope, right? We could sort of go along land and maybe tug the dingy along the river if it's not super crazy rapids or if it's not a strong current or something like that. Stay on land, stay walking by, but just sort of tug it along. I like that idea. I just don't know what's going to happen when we get to the mountains. If the water stream is caused by a big hole in the river bed, we might want to hold on tightly to that rope.
Well, we got our packs full, right? Yeah. So let's maybe flip the boat, try to hide it under snow. Yeah. I guess. Ooh, Kalden can encase it in ice. And you could mount it later. Yeah. I love it. Working together again. You might melt the boat too, or like catch it on fire. Or burn it, yeah. But then you could just... We trust in Errol. Or we could just put snow on it. Oh yeah, what about this? Could Kalden make a little puff of some snow just to sort of camouflage it a little bit so it looks just like a snow drift? I don't see why not. There's plenty of snow to work with.
Okay. Well, when we get on shore, Kalden wipes his mouth, spits, helps drag the dinghy up into a pile of snow, pushes snow around it, and then sublimation sort of like comes off of his hands, wisping up into just above the boat, and creates just like a soft little snowfall of ice crystals. And just sort of like cover it up. I kick a little bit of snow on the boat. See, that's going to take a couple of minutes, but after a little bit, the dinghy is going to be completely covered in snow. Remember where we parked. I got the pin in Google Maps, I'm good.
Now, you guys are going to notice that it is pretty damn windy. And very cold. So, it might be a good idea to get on your way, not dilly dally too much. Will this wind cover our tracks as we go? Well, it snows very often here, so either the wind or the snow will cover your tracks. Okay. I was going to ask Kalden to do it otherwise, but if he doesn't have to waste energy, then that's probably better. Could we have Air Love maybe warm up one of the scales for each of us and we just sort of put it against our skin or something as we travel through this icy world, just so we can have a little heat on us?
I don't see why that would be a problem. That's a great idea. Nice. I would totally do it. Like those little heat packs? Yeah. Hot hands. Yeah. If one's super hot, I'll take it. I'll be okay. Should I... don't have to roll anything? Nah. Not for that. I don't like your tone. Nice. Why? We're only in danger when we're on a boat. No, no, no, no. That's a very easy thing. She's not trying to heat up a pile of scales at sea. This is just a single scale. Just, yeah, you're fine. Could you change your tone, please? Because it's really unsettling me. Of course I can, Susan. Oh my god.
You guys are going to start your journey now. Are you walking along the river, or is it just pretty much just making for the closest possible route to Aubrey? Well, yeah, let's walk reasonable distance from the river, because we never know which parts are icy or could break off in the river or stuff like that. But yeah, within sight so we can know where to go. Definitely like to keep an eye on it, though. We all have very high wisdom, so... Yeah, because we want to know why it's going inland. So, you guys are going to start walking, and after a couple of hours, you will have made a pretty decent distance inland.
Of course the snow sometimes drifts or will reach up to your waist, and you're looking out for ice patches, you... It's slow going, but you're making good progress. You're all continuing to move forward. Your body temp is keeping up thanks to, first of all, the movement you're doing and Airlove keeping the scales warm. Would everyone do me a favor and roll... Well, actually, you know what? Let me pick one of you, Braylin. Yeah, of course. I was waiting for it. Would you do me a favor and roll a flat d20, please? Oh, scum. Oh, yeah. I'm gonna die. That's a three.
That was bad, right? Yeah. That was pretty bad on these. Shit. It's not the worst. But we rolled a four and almost died. You guys are going to continue to walk. I'm not going to do that thing I was going to do to you. Seriously, with tone, Jason. You guys are going to continue to walk. And all said so far, the day is not going too poorly. You managed to survive the boat trip, you know, to land. You could have died at sea. Things could have gotten a lot worse. Some of you have seen things get way worse than that. So I would imagine that some of you are counting your blessings.
Listen, it's still pretty early in the day. I would like everyone to do me a favor and roll a perception check. Fuck yeah. 35. So I get a 15 now, but I get a three literally 10 seconds ago. The snowdrifts are going to go away, guys. For the most part, you are going to enter a pretty flat section of land. And this looks to be pretty smooth walking wise. Your pace can increase. You're going to make much better time. And you're going to feel the ground shake beneath your feet. Oh, Jason. Am I following in my brother's footsteps? Oh, God. Is this Shai Halloud? Do you float on everybody?
Now, this shaking is going to be extremely violent after a while. It's going to get fairly nasty. And let's see here. Air love, and that's it. Air love is going to deduce that this is some sort of earthquake. Because it's far too impactful to be a creature. And it's lasting too long. You would have seen something by now. And it's going to do a couple of things. One, the nearby mountain range. It's going to shake loose a hell of a lot of snow. And you can see that miles ahead of you, it might be some really slow going. Because it looks like there could have been some sort of avalanche activity.
Something like that. And I'm going to hold onto the second thing for just a minute because I'd like to see what the group's reaction would be after the shaking stops. And it goes on for a good 20, 25 seconds. Somewhere in there. It takes a while. Are we close to each other in marching order? Like, how close would you say we are? I mean, there's no reason for you to space out too much. I would figure that you guys would be fairly close to each other. Cool. I'm going to use Inspire Competence, which gives everybody in the close burst 5, me and each ally in the burst, plus 2 power bonus to his or her next check using a specific skill.
I have to choose a skill though. So I'm going to pick Athletics because it seems to be that's our weakest one. Okay. Just off the top of my head. I remember from the boat because I almost died. Sweet. I will do that. I was thinking Braille basically just asks, the earthquake shakes and it stops. He's going to quickly pull out his loot and start playing a really quick tune. So we all noticed it, but only Erolove pieced together that it wasn't a creature? Yes. Okay. So Actorenas is going to yell, "Blue dragons!" or "Blue drakes!" And he's going to be serious about it and he's going to hold his glaive as getting ready for combat.
Did they notice the avalanche or was that just me? I would say this is Erolove because it's a good distance away. Okay. When he yells out "Blue dragon!" Erolove is like, "No, it was an earthquake and there's an avalanche on the upcoming mountain." Ooh, thank Melora. I don't think we're out of the hot water yet. Yeah, I guess I can't reroll a perception and try to see it. He's going to put his glaive away, put his hand on Braille's head. Thank you for inspiring us. No biggie. That's what I'm here for, friend. I'm going to give him a slap on the ass. Iron ass.
Your hand sticks to it. Yeah, careful not to get stuck. Are we near the avalanche or is that just in the distance? That's in the distance. So you got a few miles before you get to it and you get to an area where your progress would be impeded by the snow. Right now, the area you're on is fairly flat land. The pack of the snow is fairly tight so you're not going to sink too far into it. You're in a pretty decent spot. Is the avalanche in between the opening and the mountains? It could be. You're going to have to wait until you get a little bit closer to see what kind of real damage has been done.
It's pretty far in the distance. You just saw the peaks of the mountains kind of... you could see all that snow kind of tumbling down. Oh, that was a three. Okay, I get it now. Do me a favor, please, and roll a perception check. Twice in a row. That's a crit. I mean, I rolled two twice in a row. Oh no, this is my second crit. Damn, this is the most crits I've ever rolled in my whole life right now. Yeah, thanks for the three. Brailin, you do not know how lucky you are. Sweet. Brailin's going to notice something. He's going to notice a slightly smaller tremor.
And he is going to, out of the corner of his eye, to the right, see where the snow is parting. And there looks to be an aggressive trail leading directly toward himself and the party. And he can deduce that you have a precious couple of seconds before it would reach the party. Brailin, what would you like to do? I will shout scatter, and whoever is near me, I'm going to push them as hard as I can while trying to move out of the way also. Do me a favor, roll an athletics check. Yeah, and I get plus two. There it is. Who would you say would be... well, actually, actor Onus is closest to you because you guys just...
Oh, god damn it, the heaviest fucker in the universe. Alright, I'll give it a shot. Oh, yes. Oh, yeah, that'll be... yeah, that will... Maybe a triple. Yep, that's good. That's going to give actor Onus a shove. Everyone else in the party, you can make either an athletics roll or an acrobatics roll. Describe what's happening here again, please. What's happening right now is you are going to... as if something is underground tunneling its way toward you, you are going to see the snow part. Oh, yeah. And the ground sort of cave in behind this menacing trail, and it is streaking toward you.
Is anybody standing very close to me, adjacent? Maybe... Erolove? Kaldin? Well, I can only take one. I think I got my... covered. I was gonna ask. Yeah? Then I'll put my hand up. Then I'll put my hand on Kaldin's shoulder and use uproot. Okay. And we'll both teleport five squares away. Ah. And then can I do, like, bite the inside of my cheek or something to cause self-harm and then use my cape of mount back to teleport five squares? If we take a bit more than that. Transform into a titan. Oh, shit! Eren Yeager, get him! Well, if I have a dagger, can I stab myself?
You sure can. Would that be quick enough? Jesus Christ, Erolove. It's not over yet. You can heal her. It's like Naruto, right? When they try to do the summon, they gotta fuckin' bleed their hand out or something. Well... Yeah, if it's on my hilt, can I just grab it so it, like, actually bites into my fingers and my palm and then teleport? Yes. I will totally allow that. Do me a favor, roll a flight of T6, take some damage. Okay. Oh, okay. Three damage. That's not too bad. So you're gonna be able to teleport two. That leaves Actaronis and Brelin. Oh, shit. I pushed him.
I thought he pushed him a little bit. Yes, you pushed Actaronis. That's gonna give him... 30 feet away. Right. That's gonna give him a shove. So what I'm gonna do is, Actaronis, do me a favor, roll an acrobatics or athletics check and add a plus three to it. Okay. Oh, it's because you're heavy. Oh, God. 30! Oh, you're good. 30, yeah. Brelin. Yes. Because you were the first to see this happen, do me a favor, roll an athletics or acrobatics check and add a plus three to it. Did I get my plus two originally? Because I think I already used it, though. Right? You did to push a teammate.
You did a selfless thing. You're welcome, Actaronis. No, it's fine. I will do it. I'm happy that it was... I'll tell you what. As long as you beat an 18, you'll be fine. Oh, no. I'm dead. Dead. Oh! What? Nice. So he rolls an 18. You rolled an 18. That is beautiful. On fire! That is a thing of beauty. So, let's clear initiatives. Let's give the party a rest. And... The group is going to scatter. And you are going to get away just in time to see this gigantic figure burrow up from the ground aggressively and with a tremendous shrieking sound. All of you are going to see a giant purple worm.
Everyone do me a favor, roll initiative. FYI. Every group I've ever listened to on podcasts or seen on YouTube that faces a purple worm has had a TPK. Cool. Cool. Okay, so all you did pretty well. Let's see what the worm does. I'd say it did pretty well, too. Did it well? Well, that's a crit. Let's do this. Didn't I really want at the beginning of this to see how well it was? That's right. Oh shit. Fate is biting our ass. I ran. I knew I was going to want it at some point, but I was hoping it wasn't an initiative. Oh wow. Okay. Let's see here. I would say, oh, there's only one set of you that didn't teleport.
You ran. Which means you made vibrations in the ground. Yep. Okay, then I know what I gotta do. The snow and ice beneath your feet is going to crack and split in the general vicinity of this worm as it rips through the ground. And with one smooth motion, it is going to, almost like a dolphin breaking the water, it is going to arc through the sky and then plunge back into the ground. And it is going to move toward Brelin. So, let's try a thing here. It is going to try and swallow Brelin whole. Jeez, right off the bat? Yeah, purple worms are pretty vicious, man.
They're no joke. Didn't even buy him a drink. I'm pretty easy. Well, let's see if this even hits, guys. This could be much ado about nothing. So, he is going to target Brelin and he is going to try and devour him whole. That is going to miss. Yay! So, this worm is going to just sort of throw its entire upper half at Brelin's general vicinity and deftly dodging this worm's gaping maul. Brelin's little feet are just going to kick out of the way in time and this worm is going to just sort of take a big chunk of the earth and that will bring up Dagon's turn.
Hit it hard, please. Well, I'm going to start off with a nice force blast to range 10 so I can hit him from here. Bam! That is going to hit the worm. 25 damage to the worm. Thank you, Dagon. I'll lure him over here. With your siren song. So, this large blue beam is going to sort of erupt from Dagon's hands and sort of catch the wide area on the back of this worm and just sort of scorch a trail up its body. And this worm is going to let out a large-scale shriek into the echoey frost basin here. Is that going to be all for Dagon? Dagon will grin as the worm shrieks.
And that will be all. Kaladin, your turn. Okay. I am going to do some ice still agnites. That will hit. And 21 damage to the worm. That's pretty good. That will bring up Actaronis. Oh, unless you want to move or something, Kaladin. Yeah, could I actually describe what happens? Sure. So, after being teleported, Kaladin is going to swing out in front of him and a long icicle is going to form in his hand, sort of like a dagger. And then he is going to take his fist and pound it into the ground. And as he does so, there is going to be sort of like a tremor of his own that sort of comes up to this worm and this giant spike of ice is going to shoot out next to it, forcing him to move one square.
Ooh, okay. That was beautiful. In which direction? Just away from Braelyn? Away from Braelyn. Yeah, any direction away from Braelyn. And it lasts until the end of the encounter. It can be destroyed or dismissed. And any creature that starts its turn adjacent to it takes cold damage equal to my Charisma modifier, which is 6. Wow. Okay, sweet. Oh, and I'm going to throw on +2 damage from my gloves as well. Okay, so let's do it then. I have a question. Ian, does it say any creature? Yeah, I think it is each creature, yep. Okay, so don't get near it. Well, let's say it's right there.
Okay, so. Yeah, please. Nice. How much damage is it when you start adjacent to it? How much damage? His Charisma modifier. It's +6. Ooh, Mr. Charisma. I was just going to ask, the worm can't move unless it breaks it first, so it has to attack the ice first? It doesn't have to attack it. It's just if it starts its turn there, it'll take some extra damage. Okay. That'll bring it back to Rhotus. Okay, just don't want to mid a game. Would it be a reasonable guess for Actronis to think that this thing might be vulnerable to fire, is my question. Would it be a fair assumption?
Or, actually I don't even know if it does or not, so. Yeah, so I guess my guess is as good as his. Guess so. Okay, cool. First of all, Actronis is going to react to this whole situation by triggering Angelic Presence. It's a minor action daily requirement. You must not be bloodied. Enemies take -2 penalty to attack rolls against you until the end of the encounter or until you are bloodied. So there's like a light blue glow coming out of his helmet as he does that. And then he's going to stow his glaive and draw the scar blade and move right up to him. Oh no.
There's a stalagmite. Okay, he won't draw his scar blade yet. He's still going to use the reach of his glaive and he's going to use Shield of the Gods. It's a daily standard. Strength versus Reflex. Okay, let's see if I hit first. That'll hit. Alright. Cool, so one weapon plus Strength, not a fire, and you knock the target prone. So let's do damage. 13 damage and this worm is going to pitch over as he gets struck. And he's going to slam into the ground and everyone's - the ground underneath everyone's feet is going to shake. Just everyone's going to hop up just a little bit as it strikes the ground.
Alright, and one last effect. You are one ally within five squares. Gain a plus three, bonus AC, two AC and Reflex until the end of the encounter. And I can switch that bonus as a minor. So I'll give it to Brailin. Oh, thanks man. There you go. Shit, I feel like Super Mario right now, jumping up. All powerful and shit. And I'm done. Aral of your turn. Okay, I am going to use Mark of Castigation. It's description is actually pretty badass. You batter your foe with thunder and promise its explosive retribution if it attacks. So, goddamnit motherfucker. Wow. Because it would have done a ton of damage.
And is there actually something behind me or is like there's a tree there. I'm not sure if maybe there's ice behind me. Just ignore that. Okay, then I'm going to back up because I'm too close. Still too close. Yeah. I can move five. That's all I can do. Alright. And that'll bring up Brailin. Alright, clean up hitter. What am I going to do? So, first things first. I would like to do Glimpse the Future. Ooh. I love this one. So I get to roll three of them, right? You do. Go ahead. 3d20s. Three at a time. Oh, two 13s and a one. I guess I'll take a 13. Okay. Not sure. Sure wouldn't want that one.
Nah, maybe later. It looks tempting. Well, Brailin doesn't know if this thing has immunities, but neither does Alex. We will try to do Song of Discord. Alright, one creature hit, the target is dominated to the end of my next turn, and in effect, if it hits, the target makes a basic attack against an enemy of your choice as a free action. Song of Discord. Oh. That is going to miss. I will take the third. Oh, I can't tell. I have to say it before, huh? No, you can use it afterward. Yeah. Yeah, I want to use it afterwards because we need to hit this thing as hard as possible.
That will hit the worm. Cool. So I was wondering, this is the crazy part. I don't know if I can make it hit itself. What's the attack say again? The attack just says, target is dominated to the end of my next turn, the target makes a basic attack against an enemy of my choice as a free action. Ooh, let me read something. Hold on. Sure. And I'm going to say dominated because he's dominated. It made a frowny face. It did, yeah. That's adorable. That's the icon for dominated. I'm happy. He's feeling down. He can fight his own team. Yeah, he can hit himself if you wanted to.
Braille him and pull out the lute, start singing, what is that song by Oasis? So sadly can't wait. Oh, I love that song. I always forget what it's called. Don't look back in anger. Yeah, don't look back in anger. Apparently the worm hates it. I imagine the worm's swaying before it decides to look at its own tail and bite itself in the ass. Well, here's the thing you don't know about the worm. Oh no. The worm loved Oasis, but got tired of the two brothers fighting constantly and breaking up. So he's going to bite himself. That's why he did it. Pure anger. I guess you would roll that attack, right?
I don't have worm access. Yep, he's going to roll it against himself. So let's unclick Braille in it, do the worm and bite. He will hit himself, ladies and gentlemen. 28 damage to the worm. The worm is going to bite its lower portion and draw blood. Not a lot of blood, just a tiny bit. What you are seeing is this sort of green ooze come out of its body. Is that it for Braille? Yeah, that's the end of my turn. Alright, the worm's turn. He takes some +6 cold damage. +6 cold damage. And he spins around. Plus he breakdances. He's biting his butt. Snow dripping. Now, is he still dominated or is that over?
Until the end of my next turn. Until the end of your next turn. So let's see here. Unless he's got like shit skin or something. Then I'm spooked. Ooh, okay. So this worm is ponderous, just to let you know. So it can take actions on its turn even though it's dazed or stunned. That's cool. Yeah, or dominated. Sorry, dazed, stunned, or dominated. You know what? I'm not even going to do that. I am going to have the worm pass. And Dagon, go ahead. Just to avoid the debate. So that's not a tone thing in your voice, right? [laughter] I want to try to hopefully set up my next turn, so I'm going to move first.
Come down here. I'm going to use Force Blast again. And I'm going to miss. I'm going to miss hard, everyone. So that beam is going to fire wide left and completely miss the worm. I'm humiliated, and I don't end my turn. [laughter] Kaladin, your turn. Okay. All right, I'm going to do another daily. I'm going to throw out another daily out there. Ice Javelins. Cool. Nice. Hit. Okay. That is 15 damage to the worm. Okay, so Kaladin, he punches the ground, the thing comes up, and from here he just sort of brings his hand up, and a big ice spear forms next to him out of the water around the area, and then comes flying into the worm.
He takes five ongoing cold damage, and he is vulnerable five cold and then grants me combat advantage until the end of my next turn. Okay, so, actor Ronan, your turn. All right, I'll use my Miner to grant myself plus two AC with Shield of Faith, and if I change the bonus on Brelyn, he'll have the Shield of Faith plus two. So, because it's like a burst, five or ten, but I don't think I reach the others. So Shield of Faith on myself, and then I will strike again with my Glaive, and I will use Rune of Peace, that thing that makes him not attack. If I hit and if I miss, he can't attack me for the next turn, until the end of my next turn.
So let's try this. Rune of Peace. Crit. Oh, oh. Nice. All right. Cool. 16 damage. All right. And so, yeah, my weapon doesn't do additional damage on a crit, sadly. So, yeah, save ends. The target cannot attack. Save ends. Okay, so that gives you a pretty big advantage. Errolov, your turn. Okay. I'm going to do Purging Flame. Divine Fire washes over your foe, burning not only its physical form, but the stuff of its very soul. God damn. So you totally are related to Malchus for sure. Yes. Definitely. demonic. Let's see if I hit first. Nope. So, oh, but miss half damage and ongoing five fire damage, because this is a daily, so.
Nice. Okay. Nice. So awesome. And then ongoing five fire damage, I think that's the second zombie then? Yeah. So there's a ton of status effects on this worm. Anything else? Nope, that'll be it. All right, Brailin, your turn. Okay, he's not going to be my friend at the end of this turn. So, oh man, I don't want to move because he'll hear me. All right, I'm going to go with Hideous Laughter. Target him. The friend does her attack. Ha ha ha ha. You've tripped him, now mock him. Yeah, exactly. Oh, that'll miss. Yeah, you saw what I saw, right? Yeah. It was on the 16. Okay.
Oh, half damage and target can't take opportunity actions until the end of my next turn. Okay. So I'll do the half and I'll roll damage. 14. Wow, that would have been so nice. Oh, 14 damage. Are you done? Yeah, let me, I want to know if the zombie button works. I want to know if the zombie button works though, right? No, it'll do the full effects if I hit the zombie button. Okay. Well, let's see. Holy hell. The worm's turn. He's going to take a bucket load of damage. Yeah, oh shit. Ha ha. Okay. Good news and bad news, guys. Now when the worm started its turn, it's just getting off of being dominated.
It can't attack. It's, I think it has hepatitis. It's got a whole bunch of stuff going on. When it ticked over and became the worm's turn, he took more damage. And now it's bloodied. As a result of being bloodied. I wanted to say it. The worm's going to use shake it off and it is going to disappear underground and shake off all current status effects. You made that up. I think this will exist actually in the current gen purple worm too, which is why I've been afraid of it. It's pretty sweet. Pretty cool buff you got there, buddy. It only gets to do it once.
I guess it can attack now. And being as how it is the beginning of the worm's turn. Oh, by the way, enemies take two damage, bloodied enemies take two damage when they're within five feet of me. Oh, very nice. Let's see. The worm is going to reappear right next to Braylin and try to devour him whole. Of course, I'm too delicious. 20 versus Braylin's fortitude. 21, baby. That will miss, ladies and gentlemen. Can't touch this. Pop up. You know what? Let's pop an action point and just try to bite Braylin. Let's just try to take a big old chunk of delicious Braylin.
No. Bite. No. That'll miss. Yeah. Oh yeah, because I got my active bonus bonus. Wow. Dude. You got a guardian angel tonight. Dagon, it's your turn. Actoronus bonus. Yeah, Actoronus. Next time I see you in real life, I'm buying you a million drinks. So this puts Dagon in a spot, doesn't it? Well, I can't use decimate. Kill it. Kill it, please. But I've got another one. I've got another one up my sleeve. The good old mental trauma. That's a range 20, so I don't have to move it. All right, let's see if I can hit him. That is going to miss the worm. Oh my god. Do you want me to just leave now or?
I can't. I just used up my -- I've got to charge now. You've got to charge. All right. Good thing I have a great team. You can take this guy down. You truly are our leader. I like how the bunch of you three are like miles away. Looking at everything from a distance. Kaladin, your turn. Okay. Let's do this. I'm going to do something called Winter's Clutch. So Kaladin is going to reach out his hand and sort of sweep it in front of him, and snow and ice is going to eddy up around the purple worm, sort of like hail and sleet sort of cutting into him and hopefully driving him away from the team.
So let's do that. That'll hit. Nice. All right. Dude, you're having a good dice night. Yeah, thankfully. This is your rookie of the year right here. Twenty-two damage to the worm, and what's the effect? I slide him one square, so I'm going to slide him adjacent to the stalagmite again, and he is immobilized, and then any ally within 20 squares of me can slide two squares. I'm sorry. Twenty? Yeah. Just fly away. Just moonwalk away, basically. Yeah, so any ally within 20 squares of me can move two squares. So if you guys want to move two squares away from Wermerton, you can move, and he can't follow you.
I'll let you move first, Doronas, if you want to move first. I'm going to stick close to you, but not too close, because I still want that bonus, right? No, the bonus is on you, so you can just leave with it. Even your shield, whatever the other one was? Yeah, it's on you. Okay, so you move first then, so I know where not to go if we have to split up. The thing is, I want to attack it, so... Then allow me to move. Let me see, because I'm right after, so let me see my next power. The range for it is a close burst two, so that would be two away from me if I move back one.
No, I wouldn't get it. So you're not moving. How much can we move? Two? Two. Just two. Not really. Yeah, okay, I'll move one here, then I'm going to say, "Brillen, by my side!" Just go on there to stalagmite if you can, move two diagonally. If I move past it, do I get hurt? No, you're sliding. You're hitting shit. I moonwalk backwards next time. I just want to be closer to it than you. I got your back, man. Okay. And that'll bring it back to Ronis. Can we do Ready Action in fourth edition? I think we can, right? Okay, I want to... You basically just hold. Cool. How Ready Action divine power if he moves one square down?
Basically, it's just holding your action until... Now, you realize that that is just till the end of the round, right? Yeah, until it comes back to me. No? No. Basically, you're saying, "Hold on, put a pin in me, come back to me." Oh, okay. I thought that was just a delay. Yeah, that's what it's called. But then if you don't take it by the end of the round, you lose a turn, basically. Yeah. Oh, okay. Well, I probably have something that has three reach, because I sure don't have a crossbow. I'll delay after Braillend. Yeah, you can do that. I'll do that. It's like the absolute last turn before I do that.
Airlove, your turn. Okay, first I'm actually going to move closer. I know. There's a reason. There we go. Okay, and then I'm going to do Dawn's Blazing Fingers, which is a daily. Hopefully it hits. Yes! That will hit. Okay, it doesn't do much damage, but since I'm only targeting one creature, it's an ongoing 15 fire damage, Save Vans. But this is the damage. And damage. And I put the ongoing 15 fire damage. And now I'm going to take an action point. And this is why I move closer. If I take an action point, any enemies within five of me take one d6 plus my con modifier, which is seven.
Shit, okay. Nice. So, two plus seven, so nine damage. Gotcha. Okay, and then I'm going to do Fires of Judgment. Fires of Judgment. And crit one. Oh, that's gonna miss. Any allies in the burst? No, no one. Okay. Never mind. Nothing happened. Okay. Brailin, your turn. Alright, we're gonna blow my last, well, the last offensive daily. Stirring Shout, target one creature, hit, 2d6 plus charisma modifier, psychic damage effect until the end of the encounter. Whenever an ally hits the target, that ally regains hit points equal to my charisma modifier, which is plus 12.
Oh no, sorry, six. Plus, yeah, plus tells the check. Six. Six is pretty good still. I mean, you're gonna get six HP for free. Okay. So, if I hit, so let's do this. Control click. Good luck. Oh, yes. That hits. Nice. Do the charisma damage. Six, 16 damage. Psychic damage. Well, I don't get to do that. Healing, because I'm not hurt. Check this out. Until the end of the encounter, whenever an ally hits the target, that ally regains hit points equal to your charisma modifier. So, whenever it's... That's what the button's for. Okay, yeah, so whenever they hit it, do I hit the button or are we just gonna do the math manually?
Like, are they just gonna add it manually? I think it'd be quicker to just do the math manually. Yeah. And then, let me see if I have a miner, because I might have something. So, should I wait before I get hit before hitting him, or... Because I don't think anyone's taken any damage, right? Yeah, we haven't been hit yet. No, you guys have done really well. Okay, that's all I can do. So, I will end my turn. I'll stay with you, Ectoronus, in case something bad happens, I'll have some interrupts. Alright, that'll bring it back to Ronis. Okay, yeah, let's do some damage.
Good plan. Sorry, well, if I hit sorry, I'm wasting your healing. Gonna shift here, next to the stalagmite. I know, I'm ready to take that risk. I got Frost Resist 5, that's fine. Just to let you know, it's whenever an ally hits. So, you're not wasting the healing. Yeah, it happens throughout the entire encounter. Yeah. Oh, okay, I thought it would... Oh, nice, nice. Sweet. Alright, and then I will plant my glaive in the ice below us and use Astral Wave. You know that thing that happened when I was with Kori in the forest? That blast of radiant energy going outwards.
Doing it in combat now, so let's do it. It's just damage, that's all it is. Astral Wave, go! Oh boy. Well, there goes that. I don't think it's half damage, nope. Wanna go for an action point? I do, I do. I just don't wanna knock him back just because of that stalactite. So, I'll go and I'll use one of my at-wills that I never use for some reason. So, action point, Weapon of Divine Protection. Effect until the end of your next turn, your allies gain a +2 power bonus to all defenses while adjacent to you. Okay. So, I don't know, I guess that's all the other defenses.
Okay, click. Let me see, until the end of your account your allies gain a +2 power bonus to all defenses, so everything. AC, everything. Cool. So, AC, Fort, Reflex, Will, Brailin, you get a +2 to all of those. It's that actoronus bonus, man. It's too good. So, attack. Damn it. Okay, well, I'm stuck here. The effect still comes into play, though. Yeah. So, that's pretty sweet. So, remember that. Okay, you're done? Yes. Okay, that'll bring up the worm. He should take a couple of, some damage from that pillar. He's gonna take six, right? And he's vulnerable five cold.
Ooh, so that's 11. Let's do that. Okay, let's see here. What is he gonna do? You guys are a thorn in his side, I'm gonna be honest. Good. Okay, you know what? Yeah, let's take these kit gloves off. I'm done playing kit gloves. Let's do this. He is going to pull back and get ready and try to bite down on actoronus. That is going to hit. Oh, nice. Let me see. I have... Oh, sorry, it's only for me, never mind. All right, so that is going to hit actoronus. And let's see the damage for that. 21 damage to actoronus. And you know what? Let me... Oh, now I got one. Sorry, now I got one.
He has to take a hit for it. Oh. Sorry, Jason, I didn't mean to interrupt. No, no, go ahead. If you got something, go. Call for vigilance. An enemy within five squares. Oh, no, he's too far. Okay, five squares, they're good, we're good. What a rollercoaster. Sorry, listeners. That's tension right there. Triggering enemy in a burst. Trigger, an enemy within five squares of me attacks one of my allies. Effect, the target is blind until the end of his next turn. The worm cannot be affected by blindness. Fuck, he has no eyes. Of course. Let me mark it off. I used it. Anyways.
All right, so, let me pop my... You know what? The worm's gonna pop its last action point. And it is going to fire a poison stinger at actoronus. Oh. It is going to open its mouth wide, and from its spiny tongue, it's going to jettison a poison stinger toward actoronus. Let's see if this is gonna hit, though. Yep, that'll hit. Let the record show that actoronus possesses a poison resist 10. Ooh, do you? Yeah. Gonna need it. Wow. You'll need that. Oh, zero. So that's eight. So, let's see, let me make sure something... Hold on one second. The 2d8 is just the damage from the stinger, and then you're going to take 15 ongoing poison damage save ends.
So that could potentially save your life. Alright. That'll wrap up the worm's turn. He is going to save for the fire and fail, so he's gonna continue to take that fire damage every turn. Fire question. Does it seem to react like it's taking more damage? Like, does it seem more in pain with the fire damage? You would not notice it being in any more pain. Okay. Dagon, do me a favor, roll a flat T20, please. Alright, so, Dagon is going to pause in the middle of the battle and charge up his psionic power, so the next time you roll an attack, if it lands, you're gonna deal five extra damage.
Okay. Kaladin, your turn. Shadow Claws. It's Charisma versus Fortitude, and it is... So you're gonna use Shadow Claws. So that's 26? 26? 26 versus 4. That'll hit. Okay, then it's 1d10 plus Charisma modifier damage. So that's 7 plus 6, plus he's vulnerable 5. 13 damage. And plus 2, 'cause I'm gonna throw my ice gloves on. And then the effect is, if the target moves during its next turn, it takes cold damage equal to 2 plus my Dex mod, which I don't remember what it is. Okay. Dex mod is 1, so if he moves, he takes 3 cold damage plus 5 vulnerable. Okay. So that is significant.
Shit, okay. Anything else? He grants me combat advantage. Okay. Erolove, your turn. Okay, I'm going to do Blades of Astral Fire. It's burst 1 with n10. So actually I'm gonna do it to the right of where the stalagmite is. Okay. So it's gonna hit Actor on us, but don't worry, that's a good thing. That's fine. Can't take it. It's good that I'm hitting you. No, it's good that you're in the burst. Didn't say I didn't like it. That'll hit the worm. Okay, not much. You get health back too. 12 damage. And then since Actor on us is in the burst, he gains a bonus of 5 to his AC until the end of my next turn.
What? Yeah. Thank you. So let me target you and do that for you. Yeah, there you go. Okay. That will bring up Reylen. Oh man, I'm out of flashy moves, guys. Oh shit, I literally have like nothing left. Alright, let's do Inspiring Refrain. 1 creature attack versus... or Charisma versus AC. 2 weapon damage plus Charisma modifier damage. And each ally within 5 scores of me gains +1 bonus to attack rolls until the end of my next turn. This is for you, Actor on us, for all the bonuses you gave me. Thank you. Everybody's so kind today. That will hit the worm. Wonderful.
What's your Inspiring Refrain gonna be, if I may ask? I'll slap him on the ass with both hands this time. You got this, man! And just hit him. Just keep hitting him on the ass and then shout out. Both hands is sexual harassment, from what I understand. No, he's cool with it. You're playing drums in my butt? Basically. Well, at this point, I'm so low on the ground I think it'd be more like bongos than drums. I was more asking what song you were gonna play, how you were gonna touch your teammate. Free jazz. Improvisational jazz. It's more about the cheeks he doesn't touch, not the ones he does.
If your attack healed me too, yeah, totally. It hurts, but in a good way. Sexual healing. Nine damage. The worm is disgusted by your revolting display. And then let me get Actaronis the bonus here. Okay, so you guys are buffed to the hilt. You guys are doing pretty good. Too bad they don't all stack. I don't think I have any miners, man. That's not my specialty. Nope, I'm out. Actaronis, your turn. Okay, saving is at the end of the turn, right? Yes. I will take the poison damage plus one thrust damage. Okay. That's at the beginning, right? Right, because it's... So, I guess I was five poison damage?
Because it was ongoing 15? Yes. I got poison resist 10. Okay. Sorry, Xavier, you also take some cold damage. Yeah, that'll be one. Because I got a magic cape. I got resist five. Okay, so... Am I bloody now? Yes. Okay, I lose my bonus I had where the worm had minus two against me because of my angelic presence. Okay. I will use a miner action to heal myself again using Healing Word. I'm gonna select myself. So you're talking to yourself on the battlefield? Yes. What? What now? Come on, man. It sounds like you would do that anyways regardless. That's just actually a file.
Okay, so that's one use of Healing Word. Did you spend a Healing Surge? No, Healing Word doesn't seem to have any clicks on it. So to use a Healing Surge, what do I do? I got it for you. Okay. You are not bloodied anymore. Okay. And it lets me add 3d6 to that healing. 3d6, go right ahead. Nine. Sweet. Okay. Sorry about your stalactite, Kaladin, but this is the only hard hitting move I got. I'm gonna move him one away if I hit. Divine Power. Okay, Divine Power. Each enemy you can see the burst, two weapon damage plus strength modifier radiant damage and you can push a target one square effect until the enemy encounter.
You have regeneration five while you are bloodied and you and each ally in the burst gain a plus two power bonus to AC. Okay, let's see if I hit. That is a mouthful, jeez. Okay. Let's see if you hit. I get plus one from Braelon. It's probably added in. Get a little plus one. Yeah, I got it. Yeah, it's in. 31, that hits. Alright. Plus 19, holy fuck. Damage. 19 damage. Sweet. Okay, so plus two AC, doesn't matter, we all have it. And regen, give it to myself, regen five. Is it pushed away from you? It is pushed away one. One, so just back one. And there. Okay, anything else?
No, I'm done. Okay, so this worm, this worm, let's see, on its turn, it has a reach of three, so what does it do? Oh fuck. It is still going to target Actaronis and it is going to try to bite Actaronis. And it's, wait. Are you sure it's targeting the right person? It might be because of the bonuses, because I have like 28 AC. 30, oh yeah, I guess it would, oh yeah, so I guess that'll miss. Nice. You successfully hit him last turn, right? I did. Okay, you get six HP back, hold up. Oh, your thing from before. Nice. It's all coming together. That'll do it for the worm's turn, man.
That'll be it. He is not going to save for the ongoing fire damage he's taking from Erolove. Oh, forgot to save against poison, though. Go right ahead. Roll a saving throw. Thank you. That'll save against the poison. Alright, I got us. Let me take that poison damage off for you, there you go. Dagon, your turn. Alright, maybe I can hit him this time. Remind me again, if I use an action point, do you get a move turn as well? No, what you get is an extra standard action. Shit. Okay. But what you can do is take one of your standard actions and you can turn that into a move.
So if you want to move twice, then pop an action point and then attack, you can. Yeah, no, I wanted to do double attack. But that's okay. I'll just leave it. Well, come on. I just had to charge, man. And I've missed so many times. Twice. Okay, yeah, I'm going to move up. One, two, three, six. How's it going over there? Oh, hey, welcome to the fight, boss. You guys are here? I thought we were supposed to meet over. And I am going to once again try force blasts. Alright. Let's see if it'll hit this time. Nope. That's another crit one. It says automatic miss when you get a crit one too, just to make you feel better.
Just to let you know. Would you like to pop an action point? If I do, then all I can really do is that attack again. Just kind of not working for me. Well, actually you're batting 500. You've hit twice with it and missed twice with it. Would you like to go for the tiebreaker? Oh, you're right. I missed with my daily. Yeah, okay. Let's do it. Alright. Pop and an action point, ladies and gentlemen. That blue streak is going to go wide. Dagon is going to probably get a little pissed off at that and refocus. Probably. So pissed off plus five, right? No. You used your plus five when it went wide.
But something, maybe a bird got struck with it and they are super dead. Oh no, what the bird? Well, yeah, he's getting a little pissed, a little braider. And let's see if this one hits. God damn it. Does your action point do anything? Oh yeah, all our action points should do something because we're paragons. Oh, hey, does mine? I don't know. I'm homebrew. When you pop an action point, you're allowed to shift two squares in any direction, just as a free action. Kaladin, your turn, sir. Okay, so Kaladin's going to move up here, I think. Oh no. You're still way back there.
What an adventurer. Yeah. Okay, and he's going to move up a little bit and do ice dragon's teeth. Ice dragon's teeth. That will miss. Okay. So that's not going to work. He's going to pop an action point. But it might do something for you too. It does. Any creature that I hit or miss with the attack is slowed. And then I'm going to do frostbind. That'll hit. Okay. So Kaladin is going to come up and reach his hand out, sort of open hand, and then he's going to clench his fist together. And that sort of eddy that he had made before is going to sort of centralize right onto the worm and sort of like an icy tornado.
And hit him for that much. 25 damage. Okay, this ice in sharp chunks is going to continuously batter this worm. And eventually it is going to rip and tear at him and this worm is going to fall over dead. Rip and tear! Rip and tear your guts! And with a tremendous thud, once again, it is going to land in the snow and around it you are going to see this pool of acidic green liquid leak out of it. Good job rookie! Yeah! And that will take you guys out of combat, so congratulations on that. Brelin is going to run up to Kaladin. Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait.
Hold on. Are you telling me you just took the kill? It would appear so, yes. Oh wow. I'm heartbroken but happy. And he's going to extend his hand out to you. And Kaladin is going to take his hand and say, "I'm glad you're safe." Brelin is going to nod. I'll rip the stinger from my chest. Throw it in the snow. Guys, I think that's probably a good time for us to stop for the evening. Yeah, yeah. That's so good. I'd call it progress. You're making your way. And you're doing it. We're on land. You died. And again, may I say, as I said before this session officially started, group two currently is on a great winning streak in terms of not losing any characters to retirement or death or anything.
And I don't see what could possibly go wrong. No. Shut up. I don't think this gravy train is ever going to end. Oh my god. Damn, that was some good ass work, man. Everybody did amazing. You guys did really well. I don't want to be cocky, but I'm pretty sure we win at the NPC fight because we all worked so well together. We all positioned ourselves in the right way and gave our powers. It all depends on when we finally get to do it. We were so close and then the Patreon dropped so we had to back burner it. But it all depends on who's on what team and what's actually happening.
