[CLINKING] Peacocks. This summer, during the biggest sporting event of the year, Peacock turns to two broadcasting legends for the Olympics coverage you can't find anywhere else. I think they mean us. Oh, [BLEEP] um. With an incredible duo sure to take home the comedy gold, Olympic highlights with Kevin Hart and Kenan Thompson. New episodes Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, only on Peacock. Coming to Apple TV+ on August 9th. You're the Marine? Yeah. You're the ex-con. Yeah, I did time, but you're only going to cast aspersions at me. From the director of Mr. and Mrs.
Smith and The Bourne Identity comes a new film. It's your first job? I know what I'm doing. It's a little late for a crit change. Starring Matt Damon. Everybody in New England is after us. And Casey Affleck. Go, go, go, go, go. What are you doing? Taking notes. Taking notes on a criminal conspiracy. The Instigators, rated R. Streaming August 9th on Apple TV+. The evil necromancer, Retna Morgan, has stolen our hero's wrist chronobulator from Museum Replicas Limited. Now they are trapped in this new fantasy realm. Can they bring an end to his evil plans and liberate this land?
Let's find out. So here we are outside Retna Morgan's castle. That's weird to say, but OK. You know that minion guy's still following us, right? Yeah. Hey. Hey, minion guy. We can see you. Um, my name's Terry. Are you still reporting everything we do to Retna Morgan? Because that's a pretty dick move, you know? Nah. I gave it some thought, right? Mr. Morgan's kind of a jerk. You know, last year at the company Christmas party, we were all supposed to wear matching ugly Christmas sweaters, and he didn't even wear one. That is pure evil. More than the conquering the world thing.
I know, right? So anyway, I want to help you guys now. Cool. So where is Retna Morgan hiding the Black Sword? It's a museum replica's limited weapon, and there's no way we'll be able to defeat him while he's using it. It'd be a constant stalemate. Oh, that's easy. He keeps it in his display room with all the other cool stuff. Here, I'll show you. Everybody be really quiet. We can't alert the necromancer. Here's the room. OK, no distractions. Black Sword is unguarded. We need to strike the-- ooh. Wow, that is just gorgeous. Ooh, that's the Thor's hammer wall plaque.
It's so pretty. Yeah, it's awesome. Morgan stole that one from some orphan puppies. It's made of resin and decorated with rich blues and antique gold. Wow, the glory of the Viking Age is captured in it. Don't you guys think? It is immaculate. I'd love that on my wall. Or these Viking figurines, or this castle box, or this dragon mask wall hanging. This room is just so well decorated. Of course it is. Morgan only decorates with museum replica's limited items. Say what you will about how evil he is, but that man has a taste for style. Shh, do you guys hear that?
I think he's-- Ah, what are you fools doing in my lair? Jason, quick. Grab the Black Sword, or we'll never defeat him. Right. If you both have museum replica's limited weapons, this will be an eternal standoff. They're both too awesome to lose. Terry, what the hell, man? Remember last Christmas? I told you I never got that email. Jason, hurry. I'm on it. [MOOING] Will Jason reach the Black Sword in time? Find out on the thrilling conclusion of the Recta-Morkan saga. Let's do that thing where we go around the table and introduce ourselves. I'm Jason. I'm the dungeon master. Going around the table, start with Ian. Hey, I'm Ian. I play Cauldron Halec, the half-elf sorcerer. And Jamie. Hi there. I'm Jamie. I play Kori, forest keeper, a goliath seeker. And James. Hey, it's James. I play Dagon, the Aladrin's sire. And Xavier. Yo, I'm Xavier. And I play Actoronus. What is it again? Oh, yeah, the revenant cleric. Susan. Hey, I'm Susan. I play Errol of Grimnest, the tiefling invoker. And last and certainly not least, Alex. Hey, I'm Alex.
And I play Brelin, the halfling bard. Guys, last time on the show, you set sail toward the beautiful continent of Talor. And along the way, some minor inconveniences befell the party. You got caught in a very nasty storm. You all pulled together. You all worked together. And you got through it. Even the Black Hand crew helped out. You even saved one of their lives. It appears to be a young tiefling woman. Hood kind of fell off in the midst of the storm. And Kori reached overboard and grabbed her before the sea could claim her, after which you guys kind of-- you managed to unwind.
You recouped after the nasty storm. And you went below deck to inspect things. Stuff kind of fell over and got jostled. And through a series of events, you found out a couple things. One, that cargo that the Black Hand crew is protecting and transporting to Talor is none other than Stormrender. And perhaps even more importantly, the four hooded figures guarding Stormrender appear to be demons. And we're going to pick up directly after that revelation. So you guys are below deck. You're meeting here. And Kori just came to this realization. Again, kind of painful, kind of-- yeah, just kind of clench up, I would imagine, when the rest of the party saw her clench up.
What would you guys like to do? We see her clench up, right? I would imagine, yeah. It's pretty noticeable. It's-- yeah. OK. We all do the half motion of wanting to help, but all look at each other and not really do anything. Yeah. Do you remember when-- do you remember when Actonus was having his freakouts, like the zone out of the orb? Oh, god. Yeah, his fire in the sky moments. His fire-- [LAUGHTER] He floated above the ground. Not quite-- I want more. Not quite that bad, but yeah, definitely, like if you see someone in the midst of having a real bad migraine or something like that, it's like, you can tell something's wrong, obviously.
OK. Air level will turn to her. Is everything OK? And then she'll put her hand out and put it on her forearm or something like, I'm here. I think, honestly, Corey's first reaction would be that she was confused, being that this has never happened before. So she would probably take a moment and be looking around the room sort of frantically to see if anybody else had had this sort of reaction. And then she'd look to Erolove and just say, I think I just realized something, and I don't know how. Those four men, I'm pretty sure they're demons. And she's almost laughing it off, like, I'm so confused.
Like, she needs to sit. OK. Erolove's going to stay near you, but do that thing, you know, where you scrunch your eyebrows together, like that confused look. And she'll be like, how? How? How do you know this? I just know. And I have never been more sure of something. And I have no clue how it is possible. But you need to trust me, they are not. We need to get them off the ship. If they are demons, she's going to start-- like, she was in front of you, like, concerned. Now she's looking back towards the group. She's like, if they are demons, they are in possession of a weapon of a god.
And then she'll look back to you and be like, I don't think we can let them have it. And then look to the group again, be like, yeah. We need to do something. She's sort of almost hysterical. Not-- not hysterical, that's not the right word, but definitely frantic. Panicky. Yeah. Well, Erolove's right next to you, so she'll probably put a comforting hand on your shoulder or something. That gesture, I'm here, we're here for you. Kori, is it the weapon that speaks out to you or some connection to these demons? Do you know? How would I-- how would I even be able to figure that out?
It's not like she saw anything, it was a feeling. Yeah, this is like-- it's really tough to describe. It's not even a gut feeling. It's like you just-- it's just like, yeah, sky's blue, water's wet. Those things are not people. It's just that. Like, it's kind of the same thing as-- you know, Dagon can concentrate now and close his eyes, and it's not like he's been given a map. It's not-- it's just-- it's like, no, we should go this way, straight, left, this way. Like, he just knows where you should be going. So to the best of her ability, I guess she'd try to explain it.
I just-- it's almost like I've known this whole time, but I just remembered. If that makes any sense at all, I'm trying to grasp what just happened. It's not like I saw a vision or anything was calling out to me. I just-- I know. Cauldron is going to just hold up his hand and, like, nod a little bit and be like, Corey, you don't need to say anything else. I-- I think I know exactly what-- what kind of feeling you're talking about. And I suppose this changes how we are going to deal with the people on the ship. Like you said, Erelove, I don't-- I don't think we can let them have this weapon if it is as powerful as you say it is.
We'll have to find some way to take it. Now-- now, I-- Corey, I believe you 100%. What-- what bothers me is that I don't know if this changes everything or not. I don't know if they are going against our goal or not. I-- let's-- let's assume they are demons, because just like Cauldron, I-- I've also felt something, some connection to you, so I don't have any reason to disbelieve what you're telling us right now. We just need to know if-- if we're going to do anything about this, that we're not gambling on the fate of the world, or just some distraction.
Well, maybe there's a way that we can talk to Colas and his crew. Maybe they don't know the entirety of the events that are happening here. Maybe they're just pawns in this Black Hand game. There's a lot of information we don't know about them and about the Black Hand. Maybe we can probe a little deeper. OK, Air Love was just going to turn to the group and be like, this is new, very important information, but how about we still, in three days' time, take this into consideration and see where we want to go-- what we want to do as a group? Because our main mission, I don't think, has changed.
We still want to seek out the Aladrin, but maybe we should weigh the importance of this new information we've been given. I don't think we need to make any hasty decisions. It's not like it's going anywhere. Corey will look up at the group and just say, if their goal is to take that weapon, a godly weapon, to the seal, and she'll just look down. Like, she can't even-- she doesn't even want to finish that thought. Well, that could be something that we could find out. I mean, if we're giving ourselves some time to think it over, then perhaps that's something we can ask the Kolas and his crew.
We can find out. I would certainly like to know at least what their full relationship is with the Black Hand. And Corey and Air Love, you seem to have made a connection with at least the one that we know as a Tiefling. Perhaps we can go to her first, maybe try and get some information out of her. Maybe see if this crew is susceptible to hearing what our real mission is here. Air Love's going to look to Corey, and then look back to you, Kaladin. And then she'll be like, well, if we do approach her, I believe you should be there, Kaladin. You have proved yourself to be a skilled diplomat, and I don't think we're going to be given any second chances to be able to find out anything.
So would you mind accompanying us? Yes, it would be my pleasure. I'm very curious to find out what it is they are actually doing. And it seemed like Kolas was not too vocal about it himself. Well, then I'll make sure to distract Kolas and see if I can learn anything from him myself. After all, I'm the first mate in the Black Hand, Aluyanda correspondent. Breland's going to groan. Kaladin's going to smile real big. Would you care to join me, Breland? Could be each half of a mate. Is that a short joke? I'm so sorry. That was a math joke, but I guess not really.
Let me workshop this. Yeah, OK. Breland's going to agree. Yeah, whatever. Let's go. We have three days for you to workshop it, so-- You got it. If we find that there is ill intent behind this weapon, then what? Are we to take it away? We have to. Well, in taking it, we might need to use it in the same-- in the process. Again, I know just a few minutes ago, I've described it as a petty weapon of chord, but it is a weapon nonetheless. Find out as much as you can about these demons, their power, type, anything we can use to our advantage. Jason. Can we rule something?
Yeah, I was going to say. Can you? Now that we know. Like through my studies with Erolove, and from what I knew from before, religion-wise, do I know if to control demons? If that's the case, if they're being controlled, you can do so with the command word or the such? The like. Do me a favor, roll a religion check. That's too many dice. [LAUGHTER] That was good. No, no, no, no. Sorry. He super knows. That's good. Wow. Three. From what Actaeronus knows, firstly, these demons should not be out and about walking around. That's not a thing. If they're low enough on the totem pole to be able to be controlled, they shouldn't be strong enough to be just walking around Tharia.
That shouldn't be. Everything Actaeronus would know about demons would be that there's a place for them. It's basically Tharia's equivalent to hell. They're sealed away. That is the entire point of the seal and all that originally. That's what that was created for. Now there are several high-ranking demons that can be summoned in short bursts, but they have to return home afterwards. And it's strictly for bargain-making, things like that. And then they have temples where they can be summoned, so that doesn't go like Valnor was. But they should not be out and about walking around.
Now if they are being commanded, for all intents and purposes, what it looks like is they're under the control of these Blackhand crew members. Then they will take orders, but it's not like a magic-- it shouldn't be a magic spell that like, oh, now I have control. It shouldn't be that. It should just-- whatever-- however this came about, however-- whatever bargain was crafted or whatever to get these demons here, they'll probably be pretty damn loyal. Got it. OK, I just thought-- so it's like a bargain, or are they tied to an object, or-- Well, that's the thing.
You guys are in uncharted waters here in terms of-- they shouldn't be here at all. So OK, I don't know. I don't know if there's a check for that or whatever, but I was just trying to make a reasoning behind this. But is it more likely that they've crossed a threshold and just came to our world? Or just, as you said, it's really hard to summon Valnor and stuff like that? It's not incredibly hard to summon a demon to make a pact or bargain. That's just-- you just basically have to have something they want, usually your soul. OK. But this seems different from that.
This seems different, because again, after the pact is made, demon goes away. They go back. Yeah. And there's a-- just to clarify, there's three people in Hoods and Colas, right? Colas and then two people in Hoods. Two people in Hoods, OK. OK. And four demons. Gotcha. Thank you. I'm going to make a leap, Jason, so stay with me. OK, so Aralef idolized Malchus, right? And then he had the warlock powers that were pushed upon him. Yes. So maybe growing up, Aralef researched the warlock pacts or demon pacts or whatever? Oh, yeah, I would imagine that's not a leap at all.
Yeah. OK, so maybe I could roll something to know how they could exist without-- Maybe it's-- --like how they could be controlled or how they're here with these four guys just walking around. Can I? James, what did you say? I was thinking maybe look at their clothing, if they're wearing any sort of amulet or something like that. Oh, yeah, like a sigil or, you know, like-- Something that's binding them here. Something we could steal, maybe. Mm. Mm. I guess for now I could do general knowledge and then get a good look at them, see if there's anything. Do me a favor, roll a religion check.
OK. But give me a plus two on this because-- [GASPING] It was a crit. She snapped. OK. That's at 36 with the plus two. Mm-hmm. Yeesh. So from what Erolove would know, there are very few things that, in her research, that could lead to something like this. We're talking end of the world type scenarios normally. You see, these would be-- from what you'd be kind of handed, these would be demonic foot soldier type things. These are low people in the totem pole, not without strength and such. They're not like the MB type creatures, not like Jadzia's demon. But these are not highly intelligent, don't have free will, don't have-- so they have demonic power, but it's not enough to just go rogue and break free.
So they are definitely under someone's sway, someone's control, someone's pulling strings somewhere. Now, for something like this to happen would require an immense amount of power. Not just power, but it would probably require a lot of people on this side working with demons. Something were to happen, either a lot of people or someone with a hell of a lot of knowledge, influence, and power to get this going. It's probably not a full scale invasion type thing. This is probably-- getting just these four probably took a hell of a lot. Someone gave up a lot to do this.
So if there's a way we can take down these four, that someone who brought them here might be greatly hindered. I want to repeat, just I feel it's fair, because that ends up being a 36 with a plus 2. Yeah. These things are not without power. There is a reason that-- there's a reason they're on board, most likely. And there's a reason that someone would go to the trouble of putting these specific things on the ship to take this cargo. OK, so I'm going to role play a little bit. Erlo's going to cross her arms and then start pacing like she's racking her brain, like trying to think of everything she remembers, because it's kind of what she researched for a very long time.
And she's going to be like, for there to be four functioning demons-- and she's raising her hands and making hand gestures. She's really thinking out loud here. You could tell. For there to be four functioning demons, someone or some people had to have organized this with a lot of power. And while these aren't particularly strong in comparison to other demons, we do not want to underestimate them. And then she stops walking and looks at the group and is like, if we do decide to fight them, they might best us. I've researched this topic a lot in particular.
And demons are not something that we should take lightly. And there's more power behind this than we even ever realized. I think at this point, Corey's going to stand. And just at the thought of fighting them and losing, she is going to say, if we do not fight these demons, we will be completely capable for what's about to happen. If indeed they are linked to the seal and everything, people will remember us as the group that aided the demons in the takeover of our world. They'll know each of our names, the group that led to the deaths of everyone and anything in the area.
Actor Onis is going to walk towards Corey and just grab probably one of her hands and just say, Corey, there are other ways to win a battle than to fight it head on. She'll give Actor Onis's hand a squeeze, like a thank you. Well, before we go rushing into battle, let's find out what we can. We've given ourselves a couple of days to mull it over, discuss it, and we can meet back here, hopefully better informed. Does that sound good to everyone? Yes. Sounds fair. And should we all decide to take a frontal assault, there is a very powerful weapon on board.
Maybe we can use it. It's just a matter of retrieving it without them knowing, or I don't see any other way to do it. And Cauldron is just going to do that slow head turn to Brelyn. Well, last time I tried, it didn't work out too well. I don't think you were there, Cauldron. Dagon was there. They weren't exactly the friendliest of conversationists. I'm not saying we have to do it now. I'm saying it's in our arsenal. Maybe it's something we can discuss in a couple of days. Yeah. I mean, you know me, I'm looking to help out any way I can. If it means sliding past people, yeah, shouldn't be.
I'm not opposed. All I'm saying is right now, it might be difficult because we are disadvantaged. The four of them are guarding it in a secure room. But there will be a moment where they need to make a move and they don't have the security of our own ship. Well, I got an idea. Why don't we talk to Little Miss Help Me I Fell Off the Boat? [LAUGHTER] Agreed. Not a bad place to start, right? Chat her up, give her a little bit of special treatment compared to the other guys, find out some info. I don't know. Sounds good to me. So that sounds like the next place to start.
Yeah. Yeah. It's like it's afternoon, right? So we've got some-- like we could have a conversation now, right? Like we wouldn't need to wait till-- like people aren't sleeping or whatever. No. No. OK. We can wait for dusk. I feel like dusk inspires confidence. Yeah, I'd say after the storm, it wouldn't be too much longer. There'd be a gorgeous sunset. Let's start with what are you guys doing, if anything, this evening? Well, depending, maybe that's going to change your decision. I was thinking just going on the deck for now, just having a presence there, just so that they're not-- like all of a sudden, we all show up and like, hey, we want to talk to all of us, all of you.
So I'll just go on the deck, not really talk to them, but just like put my hands on the railings, look outside, just like deep breaths in. So you're like, ah, the sea air, just like empty phrases like that. Right. And like I keep looking at them like, right, the sea air, right? Are you? OK. So this is kind of an attempt to-- you're close to the Blackhand crew, basically. Let's say I'm like-- I don't know how big the ship is, but like at least 20 feet away from them, just like loud enough so it's like, I'm addressing you, but I'm not mingling. Right. Like the only reason I'm asking is like you're saying you're looking at them.
So if it's like from across the ship, they'd go whatever, weirdo. But if you're close enough to them that it's like, oh, great, this fucking guy's talking to me. No, for the time being, it's whatever, weirdo. But I'm working in on like that second part a little later. Maybe like if you're still-- OK, if it's one of those things like Colus is up there and then this tiefling girl and then whatever the last cloaked figure is, like would be just sort of-- they are constantly sort of clustered around each other, always with an eyesight, always-- like that's been a constant since this journey started.
And you'd think that they would check downstairs every once in a while, just check on the cargo, but they-- they haven't really. They-- they-- they just haven't. Actuarotus, do me a favor, roll a perception check. Of course. There we go. Boom. 11. Never mind. Sunset is so pretty. To the sun. It's just-- so that storm is clearing off, and like it's still kind of in the distance behind you, so you'll see like little-- little like lightning strikes and stuff, but that's pretty far behind you and in the distance. The sun's kind of parting, you know, it's kind of shining through the clouds, and it's just-- you can just see it off on the horizon.
And as you're-- as you're kind of making a spectacle, it's just like, oh. You'll-- you'll hear very faintly just like, Cole was from the others, like, just like very-- just like very monotone, like, yeah, whatever, just don't-- yeah. Everyone else. So, Aralove is cooking. What's everyone else up to? Cauldron is just hanging out with Aralove and probably just like smelling the thing that she's cooking. It burns your nostrils. [LAUGHTER] What? Like freeze your nose. Yeah. [LAUGHTER] What is that dish? It's very potent. Um, my mom used to make it. It's just curry to me.
I-- you're holding your nose, right? Yeah. Oh, well, that's-- you know, it's-- it's a special dish from your family, right? Yeah. My mom taught me. I'm sorry, is it-- does it smell? Oh, no, no, no. It's just, uh, I have delicate senses, as you could imagine. He like wipes his eyes a little bit. It's like, that thing, tears coming down. Yeah, like this stuff stings your whole face. [LAUGHTER] I-- I-- I didn't think it was that spicy. And then she's going to take it like a spoon-- like take a taste test and be like, it-- it shrug. Be like, it-- it-- it's moderately spicy.
I don't-- Can I-- can I try it? Oh, please do. Of course. Yes. [LAUGHTER] And also, story canon, this stuff is super crazy spicy. Like, if I was making chili, I would pour the whole thing of chili powder in there. Like-- Just a pot full of ghost peppers? That's all it is. Yes. [LAUGHTER] Yeah, so Cauldron like leans in and like-- like just like takes a little bite of like a potato or whatever is on the spoon. Yeah. [LAUGHTER] You are now a fire sorcerer. [LAUGHTER] And like he-- he like chews and just like chew once-- Does he have to pull? --and then chew twice.
And then like his eyes are going to get really big. And he's going to like chew again, but then like chew really, really fast. Your eyes start watering and turning red. [LAUGHTER] Yeah. And you can see like a little bit of sweat sort of like form on his brow and then like freeze just sort of immediately. So there's a little like frost on his forehead. And he's going to swallow really, really hard like that-- like when you're eating really, really hot food and you just want to get it inside of you so fast because it's burning your mouth. You don't want to like your tongue anymore.
Uh-huh. He's going to open up his mouth and just kind of stand there and close his eyes. He's going to go, it's good. And Eryth loves like looking at you expectantly. She's like, oh, good. [LAUGHTER] But then she's also super insightful. So she'll probably understand at the same time and start laughing at you. It is going to feel like there is-- Is that what the-- Yes. It is going to feel like there is a tiny monster made of lava clawing its way down your esophagus. [LAUGHTER] And it is going to do six damage. [LAUGHTER] Jesus. It's good. Yeah. We're talking horrific indigestion.
This is going to persist for a while. This is just like just gut bubbling. Just it's going to feel-- every time you-- every time Kaladin belches, you can taste it all over again. It's just like, pfft. It's almost like you're belching flame. You could feel it. It's just like, this should have stopped fucking hurting a while ago. What is wrong? Like you said, just like perspiration. And it is uncomfortable. So I guess we have proof that we could use it to-- [LAUGHTER] I think we know he's having diarrhea. [LAUGHTER] Food can be weaponized. That's true. Brady's been vomiting, seasick, and now diarrhea.
It's like all coming out of both holes. It's just-- [LAUGHTER] There's going to be nothing left. There's nothing left at the end of this. OK, that's fair. I love it. [LAUGHTER] This is all perfect. Can Kory do something really quick? Sure. OK. So I think she'd probably be sticking to herself right now, because she's still a little freaked out. But the thought is going to cross her mind that she wants to go look at these demons to see if, now that she knows this-- like I'm wondering if, now that she knows this, whatever, if there was like some mirror on them, that maybe she'll see some sort of true form.
Do me a favor. Roll perception. OK. Here's the strange thing. While it appears as though they were very protective of Stormrender for obvious reasons, they are not exactly guarded about the room itself. There's no door to close. There's no them like that. But they are surrounding this thing, and they're all kind of taking a knee. These things don't appear to breathe. They are stark still. Their robes are fairly nondescript, black with a silver-- like a silver lining to them. You can't really see their faces, but there's sort of this purplish aura that is emanating from within the robes here, and just kind of floating on the outer edges of them.
Just it's kind of something that comes off of them, almost like a stink. They look to be fairly large. Like it's kind of tough to tell what they would look like outside of the robe. And in looking at them, Kori for just a split second is not going to see-- is not going to see the four individuals in robes. It's just kind of a split second of like what they would look like outside of these things. Like just maybe this is some sort of like construct for walking around here. But they are sort of gnarled, scaly-looking creatures that are hunched over, just gnarled, huge open maws, and just these incredibly large hands, like double the size of what you would figure.
They would be just mostly talons. And that's just going to be for a split second, just a split second, and then right back to what they look like now. Okay, she's going to try to maintain her composure and act like she doesn't see anything different and leave the room. And I think the only other thing that she would want to do-- I don't know if anybody else wants to do anything, but she really wants to try to concentrate on that feeling that she had before. I'm not sure if there's some sort of role I have to do for that, but-- So just kind of like sit by yourself and just kind of almost like a meditation type thing?
Kinda. Like she's trying to really focus on whatever, like if she had done something, like replaying what had happened in her mind over and over again, trying to recreate-- she'd probably even go to the same room that it happened in and just try to recreate the events that led up to it and try to focus on that feeling she had. Okay. What about Dagon? What would Dagon be doing? You motherfucker! [laughter] Dagon would have made his way back up to the wheel, just nonchalantly, whatever, but sort of stealing glances at the three up top to sort of seeing what they're doing and almost taking offense to the fact that I assume only one of them has the hood on now?
Because the others-- Yep. Yeah. Cat's kind of out of the bag with the tiefling now. That he can't really tell who he is and whatever. And if I can, if he'd sort of wait patiently for like the wind to kind of pick up a bit, and I'd like to use Farhand to pull his hood down. Oh. Wow. The leader taking some covert shots. Oh shit. I like it. Okay, that is something we can do. Holy shit. I don't think you've ever used that before. No, I haven't. I've been waiting two and a half years. For those of you who don't know at home, let them know what Farhand does. Uh, targets.
One object that weighs 20 pounds or less and isn't... This technically wouldn't be carried by another creature. Okay, it isn't carried by another creature. It's almost like if someone wearing a hat. Something like that. Right. So, in fact, you either move the target to a square within range or manipulate it. Well, when you move the target with this power, blah blah blah, next turn, there's more explanation if it's actually happening during a round. So, um... Basically, I can manipulate it. Right. Or move it, but I assume it's attached to cloak or something.
So my intent here is just to make it seem like the wind gusted up and pulled it down. So I can get a look at them. That is going to... Here's the thing. So that's going to be... The wind would have to be pretty bad because basically it was a hurricane that you guys were trapped in and that was that's how one of them lost their their hoods. But I mean, like, it's plausible deniability on your side? Oh, shit. Braelen, did you go with actor Onus or are you still below deck? Well, I was going to go down, but I was going to do the upstairs one. But then when actor Onus/Xavier said, "Hey, you might change your mind after this." I changed my mind.
I wanted to go downstairs. Okay, sweet. Okay, so this is a range five. So like you're 25 feet away, something like that at some point, I would imagine. Yeah. Dagon is going to do this. Actually, you know what? Do me a favor. Dagon, roll a flat d20 for me before you do this. Okay. Okay. So yeah, there would be some wind. There'd be, yeah, I would imagine just because the storm's gone doesn't mean you're not going to have some wind, which I mean, you might as well take advantage of. Yeah, that's why I say just waiting patiently for the door. Just the right one, the right gust.
So I'd imagine Dagon's going to do this and pull this hood down. And instantly this figure is going to kind of panic a bit. And just kind of like, shit, just kind of reach for it. But after it comes off, it's just kind of like, well, fuck. Do me a favor, roll a perception check. Actually, actor on his skin too. Okay. Yahoo. Hey, look at that. 24. Yeah, both of you guys did well. So with all the secrecy, I would imagine people would expect the worst. Like, oh, you're missing an eye or your face is just scarred by something or you got, you know, there's something wrong with your face.
Or you're someone we know. Or you're someone, yeah. So yeah, you would expect something like that. Like, yeah, someone you know, something like that. There's a reason for all the secrecy. It doesn't appear to be anybody you guys know. Longer hair. Definitely male. Almost kind of like curly here and there. The only thing that's kind of weird is that the features, the features don't match someone quite this tall. It's weird. You ever notice, do you ever notice like, like it looks like maybe someone's like, like they look like thinner than they should be or fatter they should be.
It's like, wow, your head doesn't match your body. Something like that. Kind of looks like that. I see in the chat, they're asking if it has green skin. Nope. It looks like maybe human. Maybe human, half elf, something like that. Judging by the height. All right, well, that was unexpected. I thought we might get more from that. Yeah. For what it's worth, James, that was the best use of far hand I've seen to see. And I've seen this season. And the award for best far hand goes to. Well, he'll still feel, you know, kind of smile to himself because it's kind of a little little F you for having your hood up.
And you could tell that like this person is not happy about that. And Colus would even pull him aside afterwards. Like, hey, the fuck, bro. Like just and you probably saw something similar. Probably not equally, because the tiefling woman was kind of in a life or death situation. And obviously, like you couldn't, you know, I mean, it was just she couldn't. But this was just like, dude, it was like a breeze. You just stand here. Why don't you have your hood secure, you asshole? Like that type of thing. You might even get like a slap upside the head or something like that.
Maybe even something like, hey, we have a job to do. Let's fucking focus up that type of thing. OK, well, maybe we can find out more during conversation why they keep their hoods up. No, I think they probably just go back then to thinking about ways to get Stormrender out of there. Braylin. Yes. What would Braylin be doing right now? So he would be down there scoping out the four horsemen of the apocalypse. Or just kind of if there's anywhere to sit near them, but not too close to them, like in the same room or close to the entrance of that room. So I can at least see them and kind of really, really act like a nuisance on purpose to see like to see how much they can withstand.
Because as far as he knows, he knows that Corey told them they're demons, but he doesn't know like how much of the non-human things bother them or how much things that bother regular people would bother them. He doesn't know the limits. Right. Yeah. So doing that at the same time, trying to, I guess, just scope them out as best he can, see if there's any pattern or if either of them ever move or if they ever leave for any reason whatsoever. So you try to walk into the room with them, though, first? I wouldn't try to go in there. I wouldn't try to go in there because they'll just push me aside again.
Last time I remember they grabbed their weapons, so he's not going to do that. OK. Yeah. He's going to stay in the room that's like right in front of the room that they're guarding, because I assume that the room they're guarding either doesn't have a door or it's just an opening. It's just kind of an opening. It's like an alcove. Think about it. Yeah. They wouldn't do anything to stop you from getting like near them. I would have... They would treat that room as like if you try to cross the threshold, if you get too close, they would do the exact same thing they did before.
It's like reach for the weapon. You can kind of hear them grip it, like grip the hilt of their sword, something like that. But other than that, they won't bother you. OK. Do me a favor. Roll Perception. Sure. It's my best stat. No, it's not. There it is. Aww, Brailin's jetlagged. I would say it would take a while, but Brailin would notice like these guys aren't breathing and they're not moving. They're just sitting. They're just kind of taking a knee. They don't appear to like waver or get exhausted or complain or do anything. They're just sitting there. And it's really eerie not being able to see their faces because you can't exactly tell like if their eyes are darting around, you can't see them moving.
You can't see like what they might even be looking at. It's just like staring straight ahead. Just in case something comes through that archway, they're ready. OK. I'll take out a gold coin from my pack and throw it at one of them. Just want to see what happens. Um, OK. I would imagine probably the one closest to the door there. Yep. Just throw it at them. Like I'm aiming for his head on purpose. OK. Oh, good Lord. OK, so this coin is going to sail through the air and just sort of smack this demon in the head and it is going to just sort of like bounce and then roll into just like fall into its cloak and just like you'll hear it just like drop through its like ping, ping, ping, ping, ping on his head.
It's empty. And it is not going to react whatsoever. OK. Did it fall inside of him or just hit him? It looked like it did that thing where like because they have like billowy, I think like Sith robes almost where it just kind of like fell and it's like lots of like ruffles and stuff that it could get like slipped in and it just kind of eventually fell out. So it's not a Fullmetal Alchemist situation. This is not Alphonse or Edward Elric. Doesn't appear to be. OK. Alphonse, I think. Alphonse is the player. OK, you got it. OK, good. Uh, I have the gold coin. Is it can I reach the coin?
Because I need to get it back. Is it in the room now? It's in the room now? Brelin always chasing that paper. So Brelin whispers to himself, "Damn it, I should have thought about that." Uh, I wanted to try something else. Uh, I wanted to pick up like a cup or some sort of circular object, cylindrical object, and roll it into the room to see if they'll let it get into the room. Like I'm testing there. I want to test their limits without actually getting myself killed. So I get anything that can roll across the floor. I want to try and roll it in between that guy's legs, see if it goes in the room.
OK, let's do a thing. Do me a favor, roll a flat T20 to see like how accurate this would be. Oh no. Oh wow, this is fucking pinpoint, man. You're threading the needle. So this cup is just going to like roll into the room. Just like bowling, like you're just gonna... Yeah. And it's gonna roll into the room and it's just going to sort of like roll in between and they're not going to react whatsoever. Hahaha, you fools. No, he's not going to say anything like that. Brandon will take note. He'll look at it a little bit. He'll give them finger guns from a safe distance and walk away.
And now I would like to analyze the... I don't want to say the structure of the boat, but like is there any other... Just kind of take a look. Into that room on the boat, like just from walking around below deck. Well, this would be sort of the front of the ship, basically. So like that would be like the end of the ship, basically. That's why they took up into... There's one way in, one way out. Okay, so there's no way in. Okay. I guess I'll go back up top and report to first mate, actor onus. Okay. Yeah, I'll go back to actor onus and say, hey, I got some updates.
What is it? So I try to throw money at those guys downstairs and they didn't care, obviously. After staring at them for a long period of time, I also noticed they're not breathing. So we can obviously give 100% fact-based evidence that they are. In fact, he's gonna look around, make sure no one's looking and whisper to demons. Well, I mean, I don't work for money and I don't breathe either. So, but yeah, I think we can put that under the demon list. Well, I mean, if I threw a coin at your head, I'm sure you'd be very upset with me, right? Yes, brilliant.
I would. Yeah, so these guys didn't give a shit. Another thing I tried was I threw a... I rolled a cup into the room and they didn't seem to care. So I got to thinking if maybe we can devise a way to get a box or something in that room and tell them, hey, we need to put this in the cargo hold. And, you know, put myself or somebody else in the box. Maybe we could do something like that, but I don't know. I just thought it'd be... I thought it was pertinent information I should share with you. Yeah, that could be a good idea. Hopefully they don't sense that you're in that box the moment we bring you in.
Yeah, I didn't think about that either. So let's let's let's let's retract that. Let's let's put the... No, no, no, no, no, no, no. Let's keep it in our bank of good ideas. We never know. Yeah. How how goes how goes your chatting him up up here? I think they're warming up to me. I'm going to I'm going to look around and ask. I'm going to look around, Jason. And is there anybody near him or is he by himself still? The big three would be up top. Hey, do me a favor. Roll a perception check for me there, Braylon. Another one. Why do you hate me? I don't hate the thing I missed earlier.
Cool, God. Well, it's worse. No, it's one bit. It's two better than last time. OK, do you do you guys remember a few minutes ago when Dagon and actor on us were asking if they recognized the the now unhooded individual? Yeah, Braylon does. Who is this guy? I just sent you something on Skype. Oh, secret mess. Braylon looks at the gentleman and freezes completely and then whispers. Oh, God, what is it? You need to come with me downstairs. Immediately. All right. All right. And I'm going to walk very slowly back downstairs. And I'm going to wait until we're below deck completely.
Right. As I leave, I tell the three, enjoy the waves. And then I go downstairs. This guy would recognize Braylon, wouldn't he? He has already seen me. If if he has. I'm just wondering, do you want to try to keep himself covered up then? If it was a big deal? I don't guess not anymore. I would talk to Ronis, that guy up there. That's my brother. The one who broke my hand. And I'm going to show him. I think it's my left. I don't remember what I wrote, but I think it's my left hand that I always have wrapped up in in like clean, like not fighting tape, but just like wrapping, wrapping tape.
Actorus is going to. Right. It's my right hand. There. Boom. Right. Thank you. Actorus is going to go down on one knee just to be level with Braylon. How how do you feel about this? Well, he he thought he killed me. So there's that. He looks a little taller than I remember him, honestly, because he's like as tall as a regular person now. So that's scary. And your brother is. I mean, you knew him like like yourself. I mean, you. Yeah, he was always. Yeah, he was a little taller, but he wasn't, you know, like normal people tall. That's new. And was he did he possess any exceptional skills that Blackhand would find of use?
I mean, he's an asshole, that's for sure. Get that one out of the way. He was always, you know, older brothers, stronger, better, faster. He's not smarter than me, I tell you that. But he he would win most of our arguments. And how do you feel about him being on the boat? How do you feel about your brother? Because until today, if you had one chance to see your brother again, would there be anything you would like to tell him or do? Because that might be it. Well, I wouldn't want to say anything to him. I just want to push him off the boat and hope that he falls into a shark's mouth.
But obviously that goes against the team's agreement. Brelin, we were looking for a way to start talking to them. This might be it. Brelin is going to vomit in his mouth, but then hold it back. Actuaras is going to put both his hands on his hands on your shoulders. Not only is this the occasion for you to get closure, but it might also be the disruption that we need to get the information we need. You're right. He's going to like rub his... he's going to have both his hands in his face. Oh, you're right. You're so right. All right. OK, well, I guess I could go up there and start the disruption now just by saying hi.
I'm sure I'll throw him for a loop unless he already knew I was alive this whole time. Is there a song that your brother used to like? No. Is there a song that you used to sing that would maybe unsettle him? I mean, the only reason the only reason him and my family or what's left of them would even care that I played music was because it made the money. Songs to them didn't have the emotional drive that it has for me and everybody else I know. Then which song did you make the most money out of? I really can't remember. I sang so much for them. There wasn't a Braylon Galbok top one best selling golden record award.
No, no. There wasn't a lot of accolades for me when I was singing. It was more of like, you know, I did covers. I wasn't a huge original, you know, out of character. Braylon's song repertoire is he's like the equivalent of Sebastian Bach in classical music where like he never had anything for himself. It was always like other guys' successes. Then maybe just go out there and sing whatever is on your heart and maybe he'll recognize you. I'll leave singing for later if I need to, but I mean, I don't see what's what's wrong with just going up there and saying, hi, remember you killed me.
I'm not dead. That also works. Seeing where that goes. Yeah. Well, okay, let's do it. Yeah, I'm going to march up there like it's the last my last walk. March straight up there past what's his name? Callous. Callous. I'm sorry. Callous. So is he close by? Is it because you said they're all huddled together, right? Oh, yeah. Yeah. All right. I'm going to look at calls, give him a head nod. What's up? What's going on? And just walk like and if he's even is going to make like an auditory response. I'm just gonna shake my head. Don't care. And then walk up to my now taller brother.
Is he wearing his cloak or is he not? He doesn't have his clothes. Oh, yeah, no, he's well, he's not he's not wearing the hood, but like the cloak and stuff. Yeah, yeah. I'm going to look up at him and say, hey, a long time to see. He's going to give you a smile. And Braylon can probably tell that something is going on in his periphery with with callous. Like maybe maybe he was reaching for a blade. Maybe. Is it too late to say that I was with Braylon for that scene? Little late. All right. I'm in the back. Like too late to react. Yeah, but can I can I roll perception to see if I saw him come up and walk over there?
Yeah, sure. This would be cross deck, but yeah, please roll perception. 17. Oh, yeah, you'd see Braylon kind of marching with purpose and stuff and just yeah. And keep an eye on things. Yeah, Braylon's brother is going to like hold his hand up real quick and just kind of give callous a head note and the young tiefling lady will be in tow and they're going to back away and sort of give you just a little privacy. Not far, mind you, but they're going to they're going to give you a nice 10, 15 foot like gap, like kind of back up a little. I'm going to go like stand by them.
And he's going to he's going to kind of look down at Braylon. Well, cat's out of the bag, isn't it? I was I was really hoping to put this off a little longer, though. How you been, Braylon? Well, Leon, I've been better. I mean, the last time we saw each other, I had a couple of bolts from your crossbow. In my chest and I fell off a cliff. So, yeah, things weren't great. Yeah, imagine. Imagine my surprise when I very recently found out you're still alive and kicking. And let me guess, you've taken up a new work opportunity, work program with the Black Hand?
He's going to kind of spread his arms, just kind of like like motion around. Oh, yeah, moving, moving up in the world. Hmm. Sure, you make mom and dad real proud. And I mean that with the utmost sincerity. So how's Danny? Uh, Braylon's going to kind of laugh, but as he's laughing, he's going to have like that Arthur meme fist clench going on. Then then he's then he's dead. You know, Danny didn't make the didn't make the fall. I buried him, had a little prayer for him. You know, the kind of thing decent people do. Not that you would know. Oh, yeah, the hand, by the way, not that you would care.
The hands healed up just fine. Still kicking, still playing music. I do it for different reasons now for reasons that I control. Well, you always had a talent for that. And believe it or not, you you just set my mind at ease because I was beginning to think I lost my touch. At least I killed one of you, though. Yeah, yeah, you killed him good early on. Kill him real good. Hey, how about say you go off off a cliff and die yourself? And then I'm going to pull out my weapon very quickly as fast as I can. Oh, OK. That is going to escalate things very quickly. Colas and I'm going to put my arm left if I can to like try to keep them away from this.
But I'm not pulling a weapon. Pulling a weapon, if if that does anything, they are going to pull weapons. The young tiefling woman is going to pull pull a rod out and Colas is going to pull a sword and no one's making a move yet. They're kind of waiting to see what they're kind of waiting to see what Braille and does. And the peculiar thing is Leon Leon's not motioning for a weapon at all. OK, I'm just going to have the sword like since I can't I don't think it reaches his well, I probably could reach his neck. Dude, he is not that much taller. Yeah, it's not that it's like a shorter human.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. I'll have it pointed kind of like dramatically at the neck. Yeah. And as I hold the sword, I say, hey, how's this for dramaticism, huh? Me standing in the neck, maybe making you fall off this boat with whatever the hell you're wearing that make you taller. I don't think you get a good chance of swimming if I push you off. He's going to lean in just just ever so gingerly, almost just pressing his neck against your blade. I'm wearing lifts, but don't don't tell anyone. I'm a little embarrassed about my height sometimes. God, you are a parent's child, Leon.
I can't look at you without feeling sick. What's the stop? What's the stop me from just cutting you in half right now? Oh, nothing. You can cut me down right now, Brelin, but. Oh, well, what's going to happen to poor Mama Grimness? Have you thought it through? I mean, really? You know me, I'm impulsive. I do stupid things sometimes. Yeah, yeah, you were always a little emotional. Well, I mean, no time like the present to really start thinking about things, though. You can cut me down right now. Gash my throat wide open. And then, of course, my friends are probably going to retaliate.
Maybe offend them off. Hell, let's say you kill everybody on the boat, Brelin. Big old fighter that you always were. And what? What do you think happens? Um, Brelin's going to. You can see in his face he's vividly or visibly shaken. The sword's not steady. It's kind of like jittery and he's going to close his eyes for a second. Stop, put his weapon back down, sheath it. Not now, Leon, but soon. Very soon. Yeah. Soon. You know. It took me a while to get where I am now. And when I heard that not only you were alive, but you were in town. Well, I I'm not a fan of boats, but I volunteered for this gig.
Hmm. Cool. Well, I'm glad you got over your fear of oceanography. I'm sure before this all said and done, you and I were going to be together. And you and I will have a nice chat, kind of work out old times. Sure, sure. There's just one big difference this time. I'm going to be breaking both your hands and you're not going to lay a finger on me. Oh, Brelin. And he's going to he's going to lean in just a little bit. I don't need to lay a finger on you. I can hurt you in so many ways. As I say, Brelin is going to he's going to kind of back up back away. But still keeping his eyes on Leon and then he's going to go below deck.
Leon's going to kind of back off away, just kind of back away by himself. And Colas is going to move toward Leon. The tiefling is just going to sort of back away, just kind of leave them alone and probably end up going below deck, something like that, which is, you know, that's something they rarely do. But yeah, they're not going to stand there all day. What about what about everybody who was above deck who witnessed this? Yeah, well, I did my best not to intervene. But like, I did nothing except like I was ready to go. Yeah, but like everyone that all resolved.
Yeah, they're all gone below deck now. The three of them? No, the tiefling ideas and Leon and Colas are still above deck, but kind of like away from yourself. They're having a very intense conversation, you can tell. OK, so if Leon and Colas are still above deck just after all this result, I would probably just say like as they turned away. Family is sacred, son, and you've renounced yours. That's it. Yeah, Leon would kind of like glance over and just sort of take in actor Renis. And then, yeah, I think Colas would probably interrupt and say, hey, I'm fucking talking to you.
That kind of like you can you can hear that like there. Yeah, they're having a very intense conversation. All righty. Dagon would probably just be just be staring daggers at Leon. I thought, you know, initially maybe he would have teleported over as soon as the daggers were drawn. But he doesn't know if they know that he can teleport. And he kind of want to he kind of wants to keep that a secret because it may help. In retrieving Stormrender, maybe. Yeah, you should abort in and then force punch the chest outside of the room between the two guards in front of you.
And then we'll just be ready to catch it and use it. Or you could teleport in and then I could teleport you back to me. Hey, now we're talking. Look at us. Of course, then we have to be ready to fight, but we'll at least have Stormrender. Oh, yeah. The problem is, yeah, the problem is the small matter of you are an enclosed space at sea. Like it is. Yeah. Well, there's ways to fight without destroying the ship. There is. Do you have those? Because you are kind of a scion and you destroy things around you. I only have one move that's going to destroy the ship.
I haven't used it in a while. And all of mine are kind of like fire based. Maybe we don't want to use that on the ship. Just yeah. If we can see the shore, let's go nuts. Hey, you just blast your fire. I'll just blast ice and the little chasm will cut her out. And then we don't do any damage. I think we need to check the math on that. Nope, that's how it works. I have established it and it creates a low pressure zone that summons another hurricane. Oh, my gosh. We have to test this. Hey, how would Braille and be doing? What's he would be in his room listening to the peshmo?
No, he's not. Listen, that doesn't exist. He'd be in his bunk, I guess. So I don't know how much room we have here. I forgot. I think I asked this last time. Everyone would have like a cot basically to sleep in, but not like individual rooms. I don't think like it's only Dagon. Yeah, Dagon's got a captain's quarters, but that's for captain's thoughts. Lost captain's thoughts. Yeah, I guess I'll just be I'd be sitting in my bunk and like going through my things and then going through my journal. The one I had that I started when I got when I first got to Lochford, I believe.
No, what's the I forget the name of the tiny, tiny town. Fair Bay. Fair Bay. Thank you. Yeah. And then just kind of looking through the pages, closing the book and looking at my weapon and then replaying Braille and just be replaying the events in his head and kind of like thinking out loud, like laughing. But then also the same time, like cringing, you know, when you think of bad things like, oh, I shouldn't have done that. Yeah, just kind of going through the motions. Is there love still cooking? I feel like at this point it's probably done, but I do want to point out that the ship is probably either smells really delicious to people or stinks because I know people have very strong feelings about curry.
So and after she saw Kalden's reaction, she probably would have made the mild version, the kind that she rolls her eyes at making. Like, ugh. Here's your bowl of gruel, you pussy. Yeah. But that's like for... Because making food for everyone, I guess. Well, she's here. Yeah. Yeah. Well, the smell is going to attract this young tiefling woman who is going to sort of pop into like the food prep area and just I would imagine it would be it's like it's like just kind of checking. It's like, is that what I think it is? That type of thing. Um, not say anything, just kind of you could tell that that's what she's doing, just kind of like popping ahead in type of thing.
I hope I have perfect enough timing that I'm like pouring two bowls and then I look up and I'm like, oh, I have enough for two. She is going she's going to look behind her. Almost you know why she's looking behind her, too. It's not it's it's not subtle. It's yeah. And seeing no one, no one kind of coming up behind, she is going to move into the food prep area. Yeah. Thank you. No problem. I figured after our ordeal, this is very much needed. I know I turned to comfort food. I I figured you might want a little taste of home. Well, I don't know how your home was, but this was this is mine.
It's called and still in the room. I think so, right? Okay. Didn't say you left. Well, she's going to look at you at some point and kind of give you like a look because we discussed bringing Corey in here, too. So we have the leverage of both me and Corey. So maybe give you a look like Corey. Colton will stand up and be and say, well, now that the meal is ready to serve, I'll go grab Corey. I know she wanted to to taste this as well. And he'll go and try and find her. Speaking of Corey, he wants to do so many things. I was berating Jason in the chat. What are you doing to me?
Jamie is so mean to me, guys, like in real life. Like, seriously mean. Oh, yeah, for sure. Could you do me a favor? Could you roll a flat D 20 for me? Yeah. Yeah. So Corey is going to try and I guess for lack of a better term, just sort of meditate, right? And just try to recreate the moment that that happened earlier. And after it is going to be just trying to get some silence and just that rocking of the ship and just kind of hear the waves kind of crash against the side of it. And just you can hear just the general ship at sea movement that's kind of relaxing.
And eventually Corey is going to sort of blank out and she's going to get that feeling overcome her again. And a couple of things are going to come to light. First, she is going to feel the presence of those demons. It is sort of a remember that anxious feeling I was describing that you got before? Like, just kind of it just sort of like pangs of anxious almost. Okay. Have you ever been sitting around and you're like, oh, I have done work for the day. And there's that feeling. It's like I forgot to do something and it's very important and I don't know what it is.
Now I can't relax. That type of thing. Picture that to the nth degree. Like just this just pangs of anxious. Like this just things don't feel right. It is just like the ship is sinking, but there's no evidence of the ship sinking. But like we should do something like that type of thing. And that is definitely coming from the room with these demons. It is causing Corey some real discomfort. And it is a clear and present danger. Like even more than before. It's like you understood like those are demons. And now it's just stark clear. Like these things, they are murderous, remorseless killing machines.
Like they are not to be trifled with and the fact that they are on the ship is very bad. But then something else is going to sort of become clear in this muddled haze of panic and fear. Storm render. There is an immense amount of power coming from that thing. And it is almost a beacon of light in an otherwise grim, sunless kind of like abyss. It is just that it's like, but there is a glimmer of light there. Just it's almost as if Corey can see through the walls into that room and just like it is just a cloudy, murky, inky blackness. And then there is storm render sitting in there.
And then Kaladin's going to burst into the room. And come to get Corey. Kaladin, you dick! And he's like still sweating too. It's like Corey, Corey. So he just burst in the room like a junkie. Just like, "Ah, Corey. I've come to steal your television." Erolove has finished her cooking and it's quite intense. But it's brought the tiefling woman down into our quarters. So I thought maybe we should all sit together and have a meal. Though I really suggest you take the one that's less spicy, the one for non-teeflings. Corey is going to visibly look frustrated.
And she's going to look towards the wall. Almost like on the other side of that wall she knows what's behind there. And she's really going to linger. And then she'll sort of shake it off and she'll start heading to the kitchen, I guess. She's not going to say anything right now because they now have a task at hand. But she will definitely be relaying this later. Spooky! Oh, we both said "spooky"! We come out of that room looking like the sunlight has gotten a little bit colder, a little bit darker. And we just go, "Mmm, spoopy." Look at each other like, "Jeee-inks!" Oh boy.
The more people who enter this food prep station, the more this tiefling woman is going to sort of shrink a little bit. If there's a corner, just kind of pull back just a bit with this bowl. Just kind of... Because there would be a table, like a dining area type of thing. There would be a table for people to sit at and stuff. Kind of a long cafeteria type thing almost, like a picnic table. When Airlove sees that, she's going to look from the tiefling to them and be like, "There's a mild version over there." And then she kind of looks back to the tiefling like, "These guys, right?
Come on." Like, they can't handle the good stuff. Do you make a role of diplomacy roll? Oh my god. Eight plus two. I would say plus two because, yeah. You're... I still... This is why I brought Kalton. But don't we have a connection? We're like... We're like... I made her food and we're like, "We're there together." Oh, you almost said because you're tieflings. I know you almost did. No, I was gonna say because we're bros, but I was like, "We're not." There would be kind of... She'd kind of look up and give like a half smile like, "Mm-hmm." Like that. But that would be the most you kind of get.
Just... It's a kindness she reacted that much, that type of thing. Like, "Yeah." Like that type of thing. Yeah. But you tell she's kind of enjoying the food. Good. Good. Kalton will grab a bowl of the less spicy stuff and... Okay, side note. I just want to point out that if you eat the mild stuff, it actually helps with the burning on your tongue because it contains sugar and that helps with spicy. Oh, excellent. Yeah. Good to know. So there's an antidote for whatever you did to him earlier. Good. Kalton will take a bowl and he'll take a bowl of the tiefling appropriate stuff and hand it over to the other tiefling and just say, "There's no need for animosity here.
We've been through a lot. We've been through a storm. We're just here to have a meal, fill our bellies with something warm before the night, and in no way should you feel threatened here." And he'll hand you the bowl. Do you remember if you ever rolled a diplomacy check? Oh, brother. That's not bad at all. Whew. Plus 19. This is why... It's almost cheating, honestly, at that point. Like, it's called a... See, this is why Kalton is here. He was in the Model UN. She's going to nod her head. Thanks. Corey is in the room at this point? Yeah, I think Corey actually, before entering the room, she'll sort of want to shake off this underlying feeling that she has.
It's definitely lingering, and possibly anybody with high insight would notice that she is putting on... Not putting on airs right now, but you know. Wow. I do not notice. Okay, I have never seen such a softball through anyone with high insight winkity wink nudge nudge. I'm just saying, like, Corey is not the type to be able to hide her emotions very well, but she is definitely... Like, she knows that they have a task at hand, so she's trying to focus on this, even though she is bubbling inside. I will just throw it out there. My passive insight is 26. But she will probably enter the room with the warmest smile she can and ask, "How are you doing after that ordeal?" One, I want to say that Airlove would just sort of vaguely pick up, like, just kind of...
If you ever have a friend or something like that who's having a bad day, and they come off a little, like, colder than usual, or a little, like, just a little off, and you're like, "Are you okay?" Like, that type of feeling. That's one. Two, this tiefling woman would look to Corey and kind of furrow her brow. I'm fine. Can I ask you a question? Of course. Why did you risk yourself to save me? To Corey, that seems a little silly, but she's not going to laugh. She'll just, she'll start to pour herself some of this mild curry, and not even really almost nonchalantly answer, "Well, you've done me no harm so far, and I don't like to see lives taken when they don't need to be." Do me a favor, roll insight.
Ooh, I have okay insight. Not that it matters. That's not terrible. It's not terrible. What's with the sixes? I know. Remember the beast? It is three sixes, so... With a nat one in between. Yeah, for insight. For Airlove's insight. What? Okay, sorry. Oh, but I also, I get a, oh no, that's diplomacy. She's going to... Firstly, okay, with that insight, you're going to see that on her face, it's like the words that just came out of your mouth were common. They're in common, but it didn't make any sense. It's just like, that doesn't add up. Why? Why really though? What's your angle?
But she's going to continue to slowly eat this, and after a couple more bites, I'd imagine there's kind of a silence and then... Thanks anyway. I appreciate it. Uh, again, with the warmest smile she can muster, no problem. I'd do it again. And she'll take a bite of the curry and hopefully not die. Oh, it's the mild one. Never mind. You could have accidentally grabbed the other one. Let's see what happens. It's a different color. It's a different color. Spicy one's redder. This is turning into like a tense Tarantino scene where like people are just eating spicy food and just like saying half truth.
We've replaced Corey's mild curry with spicy curry. Let's see what happens. Cauldron will do like a little nod at her and say, what's your name? She's going to... Okay, just asking any... You could tell, asking any general information about her, even name. It's just kind of like she kind of like stiffens up just a little bit. Cauldron will shake his head and say, I'm sorry. My name is Cauldron Halek. I'm from the Ivory Peaks. Have you been in Brightport long? She's going to kind of give almost reluctantly, just sort of a kind of a bro nod. Just it's Kria. I'm from Brightport.
Yeah. You grew up there? Yeah. Why? Just looking to see if you knew the city. It's my first time there. I grew up in the mountains. I haven't spent a lot of time traveling there. She's going to continue to eat again. Another couple of another couple of bites, almost like she's debating on how much to tell you about herself. And again, after another couple of mouthfuls, I was adopted. So I yeah, I've just worked in Brightport my whole life. I see. And what made you decide to leave Brightport? You mean now? It's just a job. It's just what I have to do. Why are... And she's going to put the bowl down, just kind of exasperated.
Why are you here? Why? What are you doing? What are you... What are you... Why? I'm going to the continent of Talur to get in touch with the Githzerai. I hear they have extensive knowledge on the history of Theria, and I would like to delve into their libraries. I would like to ask them questions about who I am and where I came from. That's why I'm heading to Talur. You didn't say why you were. It's just a job. Or that's what you said. It's just a job, right? Yeah. Have you been working with the Black Hand for a long time? Or is this a recent thing? Do me a favor, roll a diplomacy check.
The total, the total, 23. Not the rule. She's going to clench up just a bit. It's been a little bit now. Yeah, about a year and a half or so. And she's going to look behind her again and then look back. This is the first large scale assignment I've gotten so far. Large scale. It only seems to be a handful of you here on board. Do me a favor, roll a perception check. Well, that one's not good. Everyone in the room? Yep. Can we all roll a perception check? Everyone can roll a perception check, yeah. That's awesome. I was like, no, yes! One for Cori and 20 for Arlo.
It's 18 and 38. Excuse me. That's awesome. Kaladin and Cori will not notice this, but Arlo will pick it up. There's going to be kind of a faint eye roll after you say, it's like, oh, there's only a handful of you. And she's going to be like, yeah. And very quickly, like snap back into composure mode here. Well, it's not about how many of us there are. It's just the it's and then she's going to pick her bowl up again and start to eat. It's what we're supposed to be doing. And then she's going to be, she's going to start eating again. I don't think Arlo should start talking because she doesn't have diplomacy, but I kind of have an idea.
Say go for it, mama. She's a really low diplomacy, but whatever. She's going to start picking out her food too. And then she'll be like, well, you seem to be on. You seem to have been given a big responsibility. What are your specialties? I'm pretty sure I've seen a rod on her, right? That's out of character. Everyone above deck at the time would have seen a rod. Oh, I haven't. Okay. Do you use magic or are you... Do you define your powers like I do or something to that effect? She's... Do me a favor, roll diplomacy check. Oh, my God. See, I should have done this.
You're on a roll, though. See if you got that hot hands. That's worth plus two. Good boy. I still have a two in there. Yeah, the two is featured. She is going to straighten up and kind of go rigid again. It's magically based. Yeah. Well, I get my powers from my God, and then she's going to do a side glancing. And I channel it through a rod implement. I was just wondering, you were given this big mission. You're probably quite powerful. Can I just really quickly, when Aralow said God and then looked towards Kori, was there any sort of reaction from the deep link?
Can I roll a perception or something? How noticeable would it be? It's like, I get my powers from my God. Does she look over? It's like, like, does it look like that? Or is it just... It was more like a side-eyed glance. Maybe she would notice it if she was looking for it, I guess. Let's see if she would notice it. Let's see. Does Kria notice it? We'll see. I like that name. I wrote down her name, so I wouldn't forget. Nope. Okay. Can I roll an arcana? I kind of saw that coming anyway. Almost a crit. Failures in almost a crit. Like, what is happening? Hot and cold tonight.
There's... Okay, so normally it's a little tough to suss something like that out, but if Aralow were to really, really concentrate here in focus, which apparently she is, there is a distinct... There's a distinct aura that comes from a necromancer, and it's not the same as a warlock, which kind of comes in different flavors. Like, it's like a warlock. It's not the friendliest of magic, but it's not necessarily... There's not that tinge of, like, evil about it. Necromancers get a bad rap to begin with, and there is a very distinct feeling you get when you're kind of picking that up if you're really searching for it.
And that is coming off this lady in spades. Okay, Aralow's going to... After she asks about the power and then she's being very cagey, she's going to take a bite, and then, like, as if she's going, "Mmm," with her eyes closed, that's actually her focusing on it. Like, she's closing her eyes, so she's getting rid of it. And then when she feels the necromancer, she's actually gonna cough and go... (coughing) - Um... - Yeah, she's gonna look, like... Almost, like... Almost reach out, like, "Are you okay?" And then just... Is that... Is that too spicy for you or something?
- (laughs) No, uh, wrong pipe. Um... And then she's gonna grab water and, like, guzzle it, and then look at her, and then look back down at her food. Um, yeah, just... I'm okay. Went down the wrong pipe. - Hmm. - That's definitely too spicy for me. Did you grow up eating this food? In Brightport? You said you were adopted. - Yeah, it was, um... It was made for me when I was a kid, yeah. - Were your parents also tieflings? - Um, do me a favor, roll diplomacy. - I just cannot get over the single digit. - That is still nearly 30. - Relying on that modifier just relays the part.
- That is still nearly 30. - Originally, yeah. My adopted family wasn't, but they wanted me to feel at home, so they would make it sometimes. And she's very much looking down when talking about them. - You know, I haven't seen my home in a very long time, and I've been looking for something that I don't know if I'll ever find. But I found these people, and he's gonna look at Air Love and Cory, and now they feel like family. It's very important to have that close to you, and it doesn't matter where it comes from, and it doesn't matter who it is as long as it feels like home.
- She's gonna kind of continue chewing, and at first I think she'd kind of, almost under their eye roll, like, "Yep, family's important." Like, I kind of like, "Yeah, yeah, bullshit." And then partway through, just maybe at the dimension of Cory, like, just kind of start to, it's like, "Okay, well you risked your life. You didn't have to." And she's gonna continue to just kind of look down at the bowl. "Yeah, well, I think I found where I'm supposed to be, so... I don't know if you're trying to recruit or whatever, but I'm fine." - Not recruiting, just making a conversation.
I know that it's difficult here in this world to find people that you can trust. - Are the people that you're traveling with now, are they family to you? - Do me a favor, roll a diplomacy check. - Jeez. - Double-dig it! - Hey! - You're charting up. - Charting up. - 29, though. - They don't have to be family. They just... We go out and we do the job, and then we go home. That's it. I don't have to love them, or... Yeah, as long as I can trust them enough to make sure that they're not going to screw me over. We all have a common goal. That's all we need. Why are you asking me so many questions, by the way?
- We've never met anyone like you. Your boss seemed to know a lot about us and sort of threw us together without us ever knowing anything about each other. I know it's a short trip and we only have to endure each other for just a short amount of time, but I don't see why it can't be unpleasant. - Everyone do me a favor, roll a insight check. - Oh, yeah. - Thump! - Oh, yeah. - What is happening? - What world is this? - What? Am I even playing Air Lift? What is happening? - Corey. Corey is going to pick up something very important. At the mention of the Black Hand, kind of, "Oh, she knew a lot about us and she didn't." There is another distinctive eye roll, and it is very much speaking with her eyes, just like, "Yeah, no kidding.
Tell me about it." That type of thing. And there's almost a hint of defeat in there. - I think to sort of not get the... - Not your type thing. - Oh. Not... To sort of get the heat off of Cauldron and him asking her all these questions, she's just going to note that in her head and say, "I would disagree with you." You know, I actually think it's really important to have people who aren't just there to watch your back because, you know, they're getting paid to or because you were forced together. But it's important to find people who really care. It took me a long time, but I'm better for it.
- Do me a favor and roll a diplomacy check. - Okay, and I get +2. - Mm-hmm. - My diplomacy is not good, but I'm hoping that my words were good enough. - Why are we here, Cory? - We're just making it worse. - She is going to put down the bowl sort of aggressively. - Yeah, well, I was taught that the job was more important and everything else is just around the fringe. It doesn't matter. Right now, we're supposed to get that box to Talor and that's all I care about. Again, thank you for doing what you did, whatever the real reason is you did it. And she's going to look over to her love.
Your curry's a little mild. - Ooh, burn. - I see what you did there. - But then it's going to be like half a beat. Thank you. It was nice. And then she's going to get ready and leave the room. - As she goes to stand up, Erythove will go, "There's still plenty left. I can't eat it all by myself. We're going to be on this ship for a few more days, so help yourself." - She's going to nod just, "Yeah, thanks." And then take her leave. - Can I say one last thing, Jason? - Sure. - And I don't want this to come off as like... I'm worried that it's going to come off the wrong way, but I'm going to say it anyway.
- Let's see. - I hope that the second chance you've been given will give you an opportunity to find what I've been able to find. And she'll smile. Like she's not meaning it to be like, "Oh bitch, I saved your life." She's really... She's meaning it from the heart. She wants her to find what she has, which is her family. - One more time, do me a favor, roll a diplomacy check. - You know, really, I think that nature would apply more here. Because if you think about it, we're on this boat, which is made of wood. - I like that logic. - How has that not become a meme?
- I believe it. That's sound logic. So I'm just going to go ahead and roll this nature. - Okay, here we go, diplomacy. - Oh, come the fuck on. - Action point. - Action point. - Action point. - Action point. - Action point. - So everyone at home, that was a crit one. - It was. - Resulting at a six. She's not going to take it the way you intended. And it's more going to be like, hey, don't forget, saved your life. Like that type of a little bit like that. And you can tell she's going to stiffen up a bit and then just maybe a little more aggressively stomp away almost.
Yeah, so here's what we're going to do. We're going to have a couple of rolls. We're going to have a couple of rolls. We're going to simulate the next three days, like what the next three days at sea would be. First, let's have that diplomacy roll from from Erolove and see how these little like Neals would go. - I don't know why I suggest diplomacy. - Well, can can can call them be there and eat with them too? - Yeah, we could do that. - Okay. - So you want to roll to assist? - Yeah. Yeah, let's do that. That sounds good. - Do me a favor, roll a flat d20 with a plus two because you are trained in diplomacy.
- Oh, I hope this goes good. - It does. You're going to assist Erolove. So a plus two Erolove to whatever you roll. - And Calvin will be there. So I get his plus two for being around, right? - That's right. - On top of that? - Double bonus? Wait, hold on a second. - Because whenever I do diplomacy with him around, I get plus two automatically. - It was, yeah. - And then this is an assist. So plus four? - Plus four, go ahead. - Oh, thank God. I can't, it's not letting me. It's locked, but we'll just, we can do the math. We're not done. - 16? - Okay. - I mean, that's way better than I have been doing.
- It is. Hey, Breland, you haven't rolled anything for a while. Do me a favor, roll a flat d20. - Oh my God. Am I going to get in a fight? - No. What is going to happen is there's going to be a steady breeze behind the Alleanda pushing you guys forward. And after three more days at sea, it is the evening of the 22nd of Thorim. It is evening time now. You guys, by all of your calculations, should be about a day, maybe a little bit more, away from Talor. - Oh yeah. - And I believe you guys had a discussion that you wanted to have. - Can I get all my HP back? - Oh yeah.
Can I stop having diarrhea? - I think you've started building up your tolerance to it if you've been eating it every day. - If you're eating it every day, yeah. - Yeah, either you build up a tolerance or you have no butthole. Like it's just, it just falls out of you. - By the end of this trip, you'll be able to eat the spicy one. - Because you'll have no more buttholes. You'll be a man with nothing left to lose. - Yeah, it just comes right out. It just comes right out. - No problems. - I super hate to slow this down, but at some point I would have wanted to look at the demons to see if I knew anything about them.
And then Kori probably would have told me what she saw. - Yeah, I was going to say I wanted to. - I would imagine, yeah. - Yeah, so can I just get those rolls out real fast? You tell me what kind of demons they are. - They look like this. Here's a picture. - But I... - Yeah. - Do me a favor, roll a religion check. - Okay, I'm sorry, jeez. What am I doing? - Doesn't ring a bell to air, love. - My drawing was just really shitty. - It was like stick figures with little scales that looked like boobs. - Is this a duck? - And then I guess that includes me taking a look at them too.
Okay, I'm done. - Okay. - I'm done slowing us down. - All right, so I would imagine that... Oops, sorry, go ahead. - Well, I was just going to say, if we're all meeting, can we... Because there's a lot of information like Bralant's brothers on board. Like can we say we've just sort of like dumped it all on ourselves? - I would imagine, here's the thing. Okay, I would imagine over the next three days, it would have been discussed at least a little bit. Look at cursory knowledge. It depends. I don't know if you guys went into full like, this is what happened, this thing.
And I don't know about that, but I would imagine it would have made the rounds throughout you guys. It's like, yeah, that's Bralant's brother and all that. - Okay, and we would have talked about this Tiefling and how she's, I think, just out of character, we were kind of talking about it that she's probably got something being held over her as well, probably family. We just talk about that or we just get that out. - There is one thing, one additional thing that I believe Erlov and... - Erlov. - Erlov and Keldon would have sort of picked up with these meals over the last few days.
And it would have been just... It's more of a hunch because it was never actually stated, but there is some sort of relationship maybe between Kreia and Colas, like something going on, maybe a mentor mentee thing, or maybe they're seeing each other or something. There is something protective maybe going on with him over her. - I didn't find any college journals or else I'd be able to answer that question. - Oh my God, I'm so sorry. If I noticed that... Nope, okay, nevermind. It doesn't matter. - I can't just stop rolling at this voice. - Yeah, that was the see if...
- What were you going for? - That was the see if Kallis was a necromancer too, but I don't know. - You need to let your d20s recharge. - I'm just struggling the quicksand now. - I'm so sorry. - Change the color, Susan. Don't believe in the color. - I think I'll tell everybody in a group because I think she would have been mulling that over. - So let's say the end of the three days here, you guys are... You're gonna meet back where you did before. I would imagine you are checking to see if anybody's nearby. Who would like to do me a favor and roll that check?
- Not me. - No, no. - Hey, John. - Sure, but flat d20? - No, give me a perception. - Okay. - Thank God. - That's how you do it. - Thank you. - See, he's all charged up. That's how you do it. You just... So yeah, Dagon will kind of look before closing the door and just kind of scope the area out and it looks fine. So he would close the door and you guys have the room. - I say we kill my brother. - Now let's not be hasty. - No, hasty. I thought about it for three days. Let's kill him. - Okay. We were after information that we couldn't get our hands on. So before we touch land, we have to decide if we're going to be doing something about the weapon or not.
- To me, there is no option of not doing something. - Indeed. It's just the way about doing it that worries me. - Well, I can tell you, Ectoronus, if Leon's involved, it's not good. - Yeah. - He is literally... I'm not saying this because, you know, I don't like the guy, but he's the scum of the world. He's literally a scum. - I think that we should confront them with at least some of the basis of what we're doing. I think we should let them know that if they know what's good for them and the world and that they know what is working with them down here in that room, let's give them the chance, the benefit of the doubt that they are not working towards this invasion.
- Jason, I have a question about necromancy. - Hit me. - What kind of check would Braelon need to make to see if necromancy involves the conjuring of demons or just strictly undead? - I think common knowledge would dictate... Give me a religion check firstly. - Oh, boy. Oh, that's pretty good. - Oh, shit! A very pious man that... - Common knowledge would dictate that it's... Necromancy originally started as a way to try to cheat death or try to... And it never worked. It never worked as a viable option. Necromancy sort of led into blood magic, and the blood magic would be the stronger version of that.
Necromancy at most usually can sort of twist the living or bring back bastardized versions of the living, skeletal creatures, zombies, things like that. And even that takes some real channeling and thought. What it can do to people, though, is not great. Basically, what you're dealing with is control over the undead. Anything that isn't technically alive should be worried. We're all looking at Acta Ronis. - Oh, yeah. Now we've changed that information, so I know she's a necromancer now. - Yeah. - Okay. - That's why I made the check. - Okay. So I'm all in favor of wiping her off the face of this world.
But in the case that she is not working towards the invasion, I'm willing to, just like Brailin should, give them a chance. - Whoa. - Well, I don't think I've told you guys yet. - Okay. - Because Erolo's super been struggling with this, because this is everything that goes against her religion. - Oh. - Because her religion is undead or unnatural, they need... Necromancy is an evil craft. Like that is Raven Queen. Raven Queen is accepting death. Like if you're cheating death, you're going against the Raven Queen. - Well, let's just ask her right now. What do you feel about Necromancy?
- I mean, I'll look you up on this. - She probably wouldn't have told you guys yet. She was probably waiting for this moment. - Ah, all right. - But now we know. - Now we know. - Yeah. And that's probably why her diplomacy wasn't so good, because she... That's why, guys. - Nice. - Nice. - Yeah, because she's super been struggling with this. - So they can't... There's nothing in common knowledge that says Necromancy can summon demons. And if they could, it would require a lot of mojo, more than what we're feeling on the boat, is what I'm assuming. - And then Erolo will pipe up, because...
Well, you probably wouldn't have brought that up if I didn't tell you about Necromancy. Okay, so before that, Erolo, when you enter the room, she'll be like, "I don't know. If we could get Kria on our side." She wouldn't reveal where she draws her powers from, so I sensed it, and she practices Necromancy. - Gross. - She's very closed off, too, about details of where they're going and what they're doing. We do know, well, we think, that she is in some kind of duress. Something is being held over her head, much like Erolo's mother and her safety for us.
- I have a thought, and this is... Because Kori would definitely not want to harm anybody who she believes is being controlled. What if we were to... We tried the "let's get information out of you" the natural way. What if we were just to take her, tell her everything that's going down, and then let her decide, because then we'll have a clear picture of if we can get her on our side or not. If she's completely oblivious to what's happening and finds out that the whole world's gonna end, maybe that will sway her. If not, then I say we kill them all. - Yeah, because we got her alone in a room.
If she decides to... We got to basically make her go have dinner again with Erolo and Kaldin and you. And then she's like, "I don't care about the world's ending. I already know." Boom. Take her out right then and there. That's one down. No worries. Easy pickins. - If we fight on the deck, I don't know. Did you guys think that the four demons are gonna come up, or you think they're gonna stay there and defend the thing regardless? - That's a good gamble I'm willing to take. - They didn't happen to react when you drew weapons on your brother and there was a sort of stuff.
I know it didn't lead to total violence, but they didn't seem to do anything. - That's true. I mean, I didn't see them. I was too busy looking at my shithead brother and wishing he would just fall off on his own accord. - Maybe their command, because these particular demons act upon commands, is to protect the box and not protect the crew. That's a gamble in itself. - Yeah, that's a good point. - I say we confront them. Let's try to get the most information we can. If confrontation is unavoidable and they won't speak, then we'll have to do what we'll have to do.
But if we can obtain information on who the buyer or who the destination for the weapon is, if we can find out if the Black Hand isn't on it, that would be like viable information to us as well. So it's not negligible. - Yeah, so let's... I say we do the dinner meet and greet like you guys have been usually doing and we'll go from there, right? - You mean just talk with Korea? - Well, make sure she knows. Like make it the point what Kory said, where if you're able to sway her, great. If not, we have to take her out. When she's by herself, that's the only chance we're going to be able to eliminate one enemy when they're by themselves.
- I think Kory's going to nod at that and she'll look towards Dagon. What do you think? You are the captain of this ship. - True. - No one's disputing that. - I just pictured Dagon like plopping his collar like, "That's right." - Yeah. - Putting his shades on. But we're all one voice here. My concern is who truly is controlling these demons? If it's the Black Hand from afar, then she may know if we try to dispatch them. - Kory or... I kind of want her to say my queen, but I don't think she would. - Oh, God. - Yeah. Kory, perhaps you could use your new sense to maybe suss out where the control is coming from, maybe pinpoint where it's coming, like who's controlling them, if they're on the ship or not.
- I can try. I kind of pictured like over the last three days, she's been trying to sort of hone in on that. Maybe even asking for a more arcana person for some sort of like tips and tricks on how to... I don't know what the word would be. - Tips and tricks on how to see godly visions. - Can I roll to assist? - Well, it's nothing. It's not really magic. So it would be a little... It's not really something that someone can assist her with because this is like a different plane of stuff, right? This is something... Yeah. - Maybe I could... I don't want to roll anymore.
- Well, you do know a lot about the Raven Queen. You probably know more about the Raven Queen than I do. - Yeah, maybe I could arm her with information about who she is and then maybe that will help her like, okay, well, this is where my powers come from. So maybe I could focus on that. I don't know. - Well, it can be a combination of a couple of things. It could be that. And then Dagon could actually give her tips on how to meditate because that's something that Kael is used to doing. - That's a good idea. - Yeah, so... - I don't want to roll. - Is this something that Kori would go try again, basically?
- Oh, definitely. - Okay, so... Okay. What would everyone else be doing while that's going on? - That's a good question. - I think, is she going off by herself or is she like doing it in front of us? - I imagine it's harder to meditate in front of people. - Yeah, probably. - Yeah, even if they're completely silent, they're breathing and just standing there knowing that they're waiting for her. - Stop looking at me. - Yeah. - So probably her and Dagon went off? - Maybe? I don't know. - I mean, if I was practicing with Dagon over the past three days, probably. - Maybe Errola and Tal'Din should set up the dinner that they usually set up so that nothing looks different to Kreia.
- Since I've been having him there to talk to Kreia, because I can't talk, I've been totally teaching him how to make curry. - Teaching Kalden to make curry? - Yeah. - I love that, yes. - Because he's there. He's just standing there not helping in the kitchen? No. - Yeah. - It's not useful. - First it's like cutting potatoes and then it's like watching you do the seasoning and then like how to like cook each individual ingredient that goes in. What do I have to roll for curry? I would say it's more a passive skill. - Group two, rolling for food. - Yeah. - God help you if it's breakfast.
- Fuck. - Could I, I'm sorry, I just want to, one thing out of character though. We're not going to kill her though, right? - I feel so good about that. - If she disagrees with saving the world, then yes, she has to die, right? If she's going to actively stand in our way of saving the world, I don't see how we can live in a world where she lives. - Especially a necromancer. - Especially a necromancer. - She's got to go. - Like, personally, I feel really bad about that because she's obviously being controlled, but Air Love would be a little more okay with it because it goes against everything that she believes in.
- I hear she was wielding a sword, I'd agree with you. - I think that that's probably a decision we'll have to make. - Yeah. - We can also, like, yeah, whoever gets the killing blow decides to knock her out or not. - I really don't want to quote Malchus Grimnus, but thanks for the credit, good. - The other thing I guess we could do is if we know that there's a connection between her and Kolas, we could, if after all of this, Kory is like, can pinpoint where it is and it is him, we might be able to use her as leverage if things go poorly. - Damn, that's so good.
- We're so evil. - What happened to us? - Well, if things go good, I mean, it might be something, if things go good, we can be like, hey, we need you to convince this guy to do this. And if things go bad, maybe we can be, instead of just like offing her, we can use her to... - Human shield. - Yeah. - We become the worst people possible. - I know. - I mean, we do it because we're trying to save the world, right? We're not trying to let the demons run out, right? - The Grimnus name is gonna just get worse and worse. - Yeah, but this isn't a soul arrow of like, I'm gonna do it.
It's more of like we agreed as a group. - Everyone shoots a chippy. Everyone shoots a chippy. - All right. - They might even defect once we tell them the story of what's happening. - Well, we're not telling all of them. We're telling homegirl first. - Homegirl, yeah, first, yeah. - All right. But then if that doesn't work, I still think we should tell all of them. Just like, boom, here it is. Make a choice. - And if they say, no, they fight us, whatever. Yeah, you're right. - Right. - You're right. - Okay. - Do it. - So for the sake of editing later on, let's be direct.
So you're setting up the dinner again. - Yes. - Okay. So it's been Erolove and Kaladin, the last few days, eating a little bowl of curry with Kria. Is anyone else going to be in the room besides you two? - When the food's prepped, I would want to be there. - Yeah, I think Kori should be there when the food's ready, because she's usually there when they're eating also, right? - Right. That's what I was thinking. Like, if anyone else is in, it would be... Yeah, because it's kind of already established, she gets flighty. - Right. - Dagon does not like curry. - I always imagined...okay, the Aladrin must be the whitest white people of Theria.
I always imagined just the... Just, it's like we eat a bland food-like paste that... - He's eating crackers up there. - Now that I think about it, Dagon never takes the food I offer him. - That's true. That's true. - While this is happening, I'll be facing the demons guarding a thing, just like back away from the door, but just like staring them, keeping within ear reach from the group if anything happens. - Yeah, I'll be back there also. I'll be with him, because I don't want to be above deck where my brother is. I will try and avoid him. - Do you guys want to hear a fun fact?
- Yes. - These things haven't moved since they parked themselves there. - Ugh. - I would imagine that is largely unsettling. - Yeah, it is. It super is. - I hope we get to kill them. - I hope we don't have to. I hope they're like, "Oh, we can throw water at them and then they'll melt." - And we figured out Jason's demon puzzle. - Do I look like M. Night Shyamalan? - No, it's gonna stay. - What a brilliant plan. Let's bring our monsters that are allergic to water out to sea. What a twist. - Well, they're actually severely allergic to curry. - Ooh, I got this. - Oh, anywho, let's do this dinner, guys.
- Okay. Airlef, do you want to... - Would we do dinner and then I would go practice meditating? Or would I practice meditating while you guys are in there and then come in? - Let's do the meditation first. - Okay. - Do me a favor. Roll a flat d20 with a plus two. - Okay. These haven't gone great, but here we go. - Oh my God. - I am nailing this shit. - The angels sang. - So this takes a tremendous amount of concentration, right? But eventually this is starting to become something where the first time it happens, it's painful and it's just like, what the fuck just happened?
And then the second time when Kaladin kind of interrupts it, it's just kind of a... There's a lot of concentration. There's a dull throb. In her head, like associated with it, but she could see, she could definitely see it's like those are the demons, that is Stormrender and everything. And I'd say this is... It's going to happen again where it's getting to the walls again, seeing the demons, they have not moved. They are not... Nothing has changed in terms of them being a threat that Stormrender is there. What was something else that Kori wanted to try to get here?
Information wise. - She wanted to see if she could sense where their power was coming from. - Mm. Boy, that is a crit. So here's what we're going to do. There is going to be sort of... You know that aura that's visible to you guys, like just naked eye, you could see it's just kind of this purplish type of aura? Kori's going to see an extension of that. And it is going to be sort of lifting up like a, like almost a vapor trail, something like that. It's going to be lifting up and away from the ship. Like it is going to be like straight through and sort of arcing out.
Like Kori can just kind of see it. It's not coming from anyone on this ship. - Can she, or can her second eyesight follow this trail or is it like super... - Basically it's no one near you. It would be, yeah. It doesn't like, she doesn't have like binocular vision or anything like that. It's just that that would be, she would realize it's like, okay, someone's pulling strings, but it ain't here. - Gotcha. - Could she tell whether it's going behind us or in front of us? - It would be coming from behind you. - Okay. - So dinner. - I am starving. - And Erolove probably would have changed up the food for everyone else.
So they don't have to eat the same thing every day. - Yeah, I would imagine it's just, yeah. Taco Bell for the fucking third day in a row. - Yeah, no. Maybe even changed up what she's eating too, but like a different kind. Okay, sorry. - No. - That's it. - So Kree is going to enter the room and just like the last few days, just, you know, gonna sit down almost just almost wordlessly. Just sit down and kind of grab some food here and start to eat. And sorry, and just kind of give like a head nod to the three of you. - Did you sleep well, Kree? - Yeah, I slept fine.
You? - I think I'm getting the hang of this ocean thing. I was kind of finding my sea legs. - There'll be an ever so slight like smile. We should be off the ship soon. - Kree, we've shared a lot of meals, but I'm going to say some things that you are not going to like. And I'd like if you kept an open mind. - Okay. - You know, the reason that we're here shuttling you and the rest of the crew across this ocean is because the Black Hand threatened someone very important to us and very important to Erolove, her mother in fact. Does that sound familiar? - Yeah, Leon told me.
- Erolove tensed up like knuckle, white knuckle grip around her fork or whatever, but is looking down. - I think what we think that you might be in a similar position. - Do me a favor, roll a diplomacy check. - Ugh, God. - Poop. - How's that for you? - Yeah. - 42? - She's going to tense up. What makes you say that? Again, still eating, like it's that... There's this weird vibe in the room all of a sudden, it's like everything's fine, we're just eating, sharing conversation, but you could tell it's tense? - We have no intention of letting Erolove's mother be in any harm.
And if you were to help us, we could extend that same safety to you and the people that you care about. - Look, I'm real sorry about whatever she said she was going to do, but that's none of my business. The only thing I have to focus on, and she's going to point back, is getting that box to Talor. The way I understand it, if that gets done, you don't have to worry about... And she's going to look at Erolove and her expression is going to soften just a bit. Nothing should happen to your mom. If this gets pulled off, everything should be fine. - Erolove's a little angry now, not necessarily at Kreia, just like...
My mom's in danger. Every time she thinks about it, she's a little angry. So she's going to tersely say to her, "Do you even know what's in the box?" Not being super diplomatic, but she's kind of pissed off right now. - Right. She's going to continue eating and she is going to snap up. She's been looking at her food and then she's going to snap up at Erolove. Because I don't think Erolove's ever taken that tone with her. - Yeah. No, she hasn't. - No. No, but I imagine it's something important if they're willing to go through all this trouble to transport it.
- What's in the box is a weapon of Chord. Its name is Stormrender, and it is incredibly powerful. The things that are guarding it, whether you know it or not, are demons. And this world may be falling prey to their invasion. I doubt the Black Hand inform you of this, but she is putting things into motion that could destroy the entirety of Theria. And so you getting the job done so that you can feel safe won't matter. Because the entire world will burn. And it will burn if that weapon falls into the hands of those creatures. - Do me a favor. Roll a diplomacy check.
- Come on. - Mm, that was almost a 17. Did you see that? - Yes, I did. Thank you very much. - It's still a 26. - 26. - It is still a 26. It is. - That is not a one-time God of Den Devil's Choice. - I rolled a nat 20. That's what I would have gotten. So come on. - I know. Well, that's a big swing. I'm just saying. - Just really quick. Is Kory in the room at this? - Yes. - Okay. I just want it to be canon that she is just sort of leaning in the door. - Okay. - I don't want this girl to run. - Right. - Good call, Jamie. - I knew they weren't people. And let's say that what you're saying is true.
What do you want me to do about it? If it wasn't me doing this, it's just going to be someone else. It'll always be someone else. Well, for starters, I'd like you to tell us who you're bringing this to. Oh, that's a really big swing. I'm going to ask you to do me a favor and roll the diplomacy check. This is the one. God damn. - Well, there's going to be hesitation. Like she's going to almost blurt out something. It's... She's going to look over to Kory. Some military leader. I don't know much beyond that. - I'm so hesitant to speak because my diplomacy rules suck, but...
- Me too. - Like, I don't want to talk because I know I feel like I'm just going to make it worse. But I have to. I have to. - Wait, wait, wait. Thank you. Oh my God. There we go. I'm back to being air love. Okay. I never thought I'd be excited to get a good insight because... - Yeah. That... It seems pretty on the level. Like she might know a little bit more than that, but what she said isn't false. - Does it look like Kory's about to speak? - Yeah, she was just going to say one thing. - Okay. Okay. Then air love will hold her tongue for now. - She's going to look back at Kriya and just say, you know, I know you say that there's just going to be somebody else, but it doesn't have to be that way.
- What are you talking about? - I mean, you're not replaceable. You may think that because you're in this group that you're in right now, but there is only one of you. You can't be easily replaced. None of us can. - Do you have a role of diplomacy? - No! Okay, but I get a plus two because... - You do get a plus two. - I am not even going to look. Oh, come the fuck on! - We are not... - This is not going well and it really needs to go well. - The roles really want us to be evil. Like they really want this bitch to die. - I mean, now that they might not be helping the demons, it's easier to maybe not pursue it.
I don't know. - Or this could be the long-term thing for the demons. Okay, sorry, go ahead. - No, that's okay. She's going to visibly tense up. Look, I don't care why you're going to Talor or what you're doing, but you need to stop trying to get in our way. You do realize that they don't have to be this peaceful, right? I've seen them not be this peaceful. They're practically bending over backwards to stay out of your way just so they can get passage across the sea. And you're going to ruin that. - Why? What happens to you if this doesn't go down? If we don't make it?
- Look, either we deliver this box or we don't deliver the box because we're all dead. Those are the only two options. That's it. I appreciate the food. I appreciate you saved my life. But no amount of talking is going to stop that. If it isn't us, it's going to be someone else. That box is getting delivered. I don't know a lot, but I know it's too important not to get delivered. She's going to put the bowl down and she's going to go to stand up. - Do you really want to be the cause of the end of the world? Because that's what you're doing. Like, Arlo's just angry now.
If you deliver this box, if you side with the demons, you're killing everyone. And that blood will be on your hands. No. That seems pretty insight-y to me. Yeah, it does. That seems perceptive as fuck. I want to say diplomacy, but that can almost be intimidate. I'll do the same. I don't know. But I get plus two for diplomacy. Well, I'll say diplomacy. Do you give me bonuses for intimidating? - No. Oh, plus two, 26. Nice. What? She looked pretty angry when she stood up. And then you're going to go into that spiel. World's going to burn on your hands, all that stuff.
And you're going to see her expression just sort of lax for a second. And there's going to be a long beat. I don't know what you expect me to do here. You don't know what these people are capable of. You have no idea what you're getting yourself into. And again, even if I believed what you were saying for just a second, how do you think you're going to stop something like that? - Do you know what we're capable of? Do you have any idea of what we've faced? What we've done in the past? No. So why are you making assumptions that we can't face this? And with you, or without you, and she's going to say it like that too and look down or without you, we will face this.
This is something we must do. And what's in that box can help tip the tie. - You really believe everything you're saying? You really, really believe everything that you're telling me right now? - I do. - She's going to look down. All right. Let me go talk to Colus about this. And maybe we can do something to pull this back at the last minute, but I can't promise anything. - No. - Let's do that, sweet cheeks. - No. - That's the best we've got. - But if she tells Colus, then the whole crew will attack us and our whole plan of coordinating one of them by themselves.
- Or they actually can. Maybe she can convince him. They have a thing. - Or she goes to talk to him. He switches her back onto his side and then we're fucked. - Well, we were going to fight anyway. - Yeah, but it's one less enemy and we have her on our side. - It's either one less enemy. - A necromancer who can make you probably eat your own butthole. Do you understand? - No, that's a curie. - And if we get her on our side, every time we kill one of them, she can make them be on our side too. - Then we kill her first. - Not well. - Well, I guess I have a role play thing I could ask her or called and can.
- Okay, yeah, I just wanted to say one thing, but go ahead, Susan. - Oh, I was just going to say, do you really believe that you can convince him of this? Is that your intention? - I think I have a better shot at doing it than you do. - Trust it coming from me. - If you tell him all that, wait, let me go back. Are you going to tell him all that we just told you or are you going to- - Kaldo's going to reach out and put his hand on Erolove. - I just wanted to get it out there so I could roll the insight. - He's going to say, "Kriya, we trusted you with this information and we trust that you'll bring it up with Kalas.
If you can help to turn the tide so that we can keep not just the ones that you love safe, but the entire world of Theria safe, say whatever it is you need to. And at the very least, maybe you can convince him and the others with you to just step back while we do what we must and no harm will come to you." - I don't think you can promise that, but- - I'm going to talk to him and see what I can do. - Being that Kori's in the doorway, she's going to scooch to the side so that she can let Kriya go, but she's just going to quickly say, "We trust you, Kriya.
Just be on your guard. Please." - She'll nod. - I kind of want to roll to see if I do trust her. Oh, why not? That's why not. Okay. - She's on the level to Erolove. - I don't trust myself anymore. - It's the sea. Your instincts are all off. - So you're going to let her walk out of the room? - Yeah. I think it's out of our hands now. I mean, if people are close by, maybe we can have a let them in on how it went down, debrief. - And then get ready for a fight. - Yeah. Yeah, definitely. - Oh, please. - She is going to leave the food prep area, and she's going to go above deck, and she's going to find Kolas.
Who is above deck right now? - Dagon. - Hmm. I want you to do me a favor and roll a perception check. - Okay. - So Kria is going to wander over, kind of almost sheepishly, wander over to Kolas, and Leon is standing by. And you're going to see Kolas give Leon a look-like, just back off, and he'll sort of wander away. And you're going to see the two of them. It's like hushed whispers, right? And this goes on for a while. And you can see Kolas's face tense up a bit. And after a while, he's going to pull Kria kind of close to him and start to reach behind her.
- God damn it. - And he's going to pull her into like a hug type of thing. - I have to mute. - Okay. Is there anything I can roll? - To do what? - To see if it looks threatening or sincere. - It doesn't look threatening. You could roll insight. - Okay. - Yeah, it doesn't look threatening to Dagon. This doesn't appear to be. - Oh, that fucking tone. - I think it's Dagon that didn't know anything about-- - Wow. - Doesn't know what happened downstairs. - Dagon says, "Get a room, you two." - Yeah. - I feel like we all knew the general idea of what the conversation was, but yeah, we don't know what the outcome is.
- Do you think we all sat around and planned this all out? - We knew that they were going to have a cough, but we don't know what the outcome is. Only those three know. We wouldn't know anything about how it went. - Okay. So he might even kind of look away because they're having a private moment. He doesn't want to be staring at them, right? - Yeah, that'd be rude. - Some pervert. - So this is going to go on for a little bit. And then Colus is going to break away, and he's going to walk over to Dagon. And he's going to, not in a whisper or anything like that, but just kind of in a lowered voice.
- Do you think you could assemble your crew? - I can. What is this about? - It appears as though the nature of our mission has changed a bit. I'd like to talk that over with you and your people. - What would you probably look over at Kreia? Just to see, like, can you gather some insight on how she looks or something like that? Just so he kind of has an idea of maybe what's going on. - Yeah, do you have a role in insight check? She looks very conflicted right now. You can tell that there... You ever see someone who obviously has a big decision coming up, or they're worried about something?
It's obviously just very conflicted looking and just sort of... There is definitely something weighing on her. Like, maybe getting the crew together to talk about this is the best thing. - So yeah, okay. It's more concerning that she'd look, you know, ashamed or something like she's given us up or something. - Right. It doesn't look like that. At least not from what you're saying. - Okay. Please wait here. I'll go get them. - And Colus will go back, and he's going to pull Leon and Kreia aside and talk to them while you're getting your people together. - Should we go ahead and just, to save time, have them all come up?
Or does anyone want to say something? - We were already prepping for a fight, so I think we're good to go. - I will tell everyone in the party to be careful for my brother's crossbow shots, because if there's one thing he's good at, it's shooting people with crossbows. - Even on lifts? - Yeah, I mean, I think on lifts, he's got a better chance of hitting people's heads now. - Yeah. - Because he did most of the shooting when he thought he killed me, and he popped me full of like five or six bolts, so let's be careful. - And, Acteronus, perhaps you should stay out of range of Kreia.
Don't get too close. - Yes, understood. I don't think I'll reveal myself anymore than I already did. - Yes. I'll be cautious, thank you. - Okay, so everybody is going above deck again to meet up with the Black Hand people. - Mm-hmm. - I should mute, okay. - That is so judgmental. - Mm-hmm. - Kinda. - Black Hand people. - Yeah, you need to do that more often, Jason. - Thank you, Acteronus. I very rarely get sassy, is the problem. - You just need to say sassy more often. - I'm sorry, I might be getting to that point where everything's hilarious. Okay. - So, they're very clearly waiting on you to get up here.
And, Kolas is going to move closer to the group. And again, they're bunched up closer, and he's going to have Kreia close by him, and Leon's gonna be off to his right. So, Kreia tells me she's been speaking with your crew. And he's gonna be looking at Airlove and Kori and Kalton specifically. - That's true. We've had a lot of conversations while we've been aboard the ship, and we sort of put our cards on the table, so to speak. - She tells me you told her some interesting things about what's in the box down below deck, about what's watching the box. - Interesting, but true.
- So, why don't you tell me about the end of the world? - Well, we're hoping that we don't have to, because hopefully with your help, we could stop that from happening. - So, let's say we deliver this box. You're saying that there's some cataclysmic event that happens after that, right? - I'm trying to decide how much to say, but I think at this point, we've just got to put it all out. So, are you familiar with the Blood Moon? - I know what happens from time to time. What about it? - This upcoming Blood Moon may be Feiria's last. The demons, like the ones below deck, are amassing an army to take over Feiria, and she's saying this very matter-of-factly, like direct eye contact.
- Right. Do me a favor, roll a diplomacy check. - Are you sure, even with all the wood around? - Come on. - All right, so, Kreia, for whatever reason, seems to believe you. Now, I don't know what you've been telling her, or how you've been saying it, but I know what's in the box. I don't see how handing that over is gonna end the world. - It's an axe. I don't care what it's supposed to be blessed by, or what God supposedly made it, or whatever. It's an axe. - Kolis, you seem like a very practical man. So, this axe is a very, very powerful axe. Now, the demons are plotting from their side, and trying to influence as much as they can this side, to prepare for their invasion.
We've been talking to many people, also actively trying to prevent this, who have encountered people, who have made, and he kind of like sighs a bit saying that, have made pacts with demons in the past. They know what's coming, and they know which demons are coming. Now, if the same demons are going to use this axe to prepare the land, it's going to be a massacre. - Do me a favor, roll diplomacy check. - Can do. Plus two. - Plus two, bro. - 29. - You could see him take a deep breath, and kind of change tack. Like, he was starting to get pretty aggravated.
All right. Let's operate under the assumption for now, I don't think you're completely insane. And let's say that based on some things I've seen, I believe there might be some truth to what you're saying. From what I hear, the axe's previous owner didn't get done any favors by holding it. From what I hear, it's just a weapon. Yeah, it's a really powerful weapon, whatever. But it's just a weapon. I don't see how it could bring about the end of the world, or be something that tips any scales. Maybe in a battle, maybe in a fight, sure. But in the grand scheme of things, I have to go back to my previous statement.
It's just an axe. If it's just an axe, then why is there four demons guarding it downstairs? And a godly weapon in the hands of a demon couldn't be wielded the same as a mere man. I guess the question that you need to answer, Colas, is are you willing to take that chance? That by just doing this job, and just going about your day to day, getting things done, and delivering this axe will be just that, handing off an axe? Or will it be the thing that tips the scales to burn this world and everything that you love in it? And he's gonna like, just flick his eyes over to to Kria.
Do me a favor, roll diplomacy. Oh, that's good. This is yours. Come on. This is the moment. No. That's not terrible. Well, here's what I have to say on the subject. I believe what I can see. Now, I've been with the hand for a while, and I've seen her do some very nasty things. I also know that at the end of the day, she's pretty much a person of her word. Now, let's say we double cross her, and let's say the axe doesn't get to where it's going. Two things are gonna happen. One, she's gonna find out. Two, there's gonna be repercussions for that. And he's gonna look at her love.
And I think you know what I'm talking about. That's first and foremost. Then she's gonna hunt down everyone who's responsible for that. And she's gonna take care of them next. Then she's gonna find the axe. And then she's gonna make sure it gets to where it was supposed to go. And he's gonna look at Dagon. You want an answer for why there's four demons downstairs? That's why. She doesn't trust you. Any of you. She needed a vast ship. You just happen to be in the right place at the right time. Now, I don't know about any demon invasion. I don't know anything about that.
You might be right. You might not be insane. But I know for a fact that if the axe doesn't get where it's supposed to go, we're all as good as dead. So, convince me to act against my better interest. Is there a time limit? Does it need to get there right now? Or can it wait? Few more days. I don't know how much time do we have before the blood moon day. Oh, for the blood moon? Yeah. Oh, you got a little over a month. Oh, still? Okay. Well, okay. Do you guys have a month? Can we borrow it for a bit? Are you seriously asking? Well, not if there's a month left, though.
Ah, jeez. But why not? Well, yeah, why not? Yeah, why not? Yeah. Why not? I know the Black Hand needed a fast ship, but how fast did the recipient needed the weapon? They'll be waiting for us whenever we dock. And then we're supposed to send word back. How? How do you communicate with the Black Hand? He's going to narrow his eyes. The chaps downstairs, they have a lot of special talents, let's say. Do they float? No, they don't need to. What if we were to sink the ship and take the axe, making it seem like it was lost at sea? Cover our tracks. He's going to close the gap between you guys just a bit.
You want to sink your own ship while we're still on it. I hadn't said I thought this through. What I'm saying is we need that axe. And the only way it seems we're going to get it is if it got it, if it went missing. If it appears to have gone missing. All right. Let's work under this assumption for a bit. What would you do with the axe if you got it? Use it until the Blood Moon. And then it could find its way back to the Black Hand for all I know at that point. I think our main goal is just to make sure that the demons don't have it. Tell me more about this Blood Moon thing.
Why do you need it for that? What happens? Kaldin is going to look at Kallus and say, "It's a race. A race to a seal. If the demons possess this weapon and make it to that seal for the Blood Moon, then they get to open the gate and release their entire army across the world." If we have it in our position, we can stop that. We think if we get to the seal before the Blood Moon and have a weapon as powerful as Stormrender, we can stop that portal from opening. If you believe us and help us do this, you're right. The Black Hand will come after you and you're dead.
If you believe the Black Hand and do as you're told, deliver this weapon, the demons come out, the world is over, and you're dead. So, would you rather fight for the Black Hand or would you rather fight for Theria? I understand that you're worried that she's going to come after you, but as you know, she has something over all of us. You don't have to fight her alone. Once this is done, our alliance doesn't have to end. We can continue fighting together for your safety and our safety and this entire world. What you're pushing right now is huge. This is a big swing.
What I would like you to do... Roll a diplomacy check. Oh my god, can someone help me out? Yeah, do you want me to help you? Yeah, I pulled my hand. I was holding your hand, yeah. So it's flat d20 plus two? If you're trained in diplomacy, yep. I am. Okay. Okay, got to succeed. Plus two to your roll. Here we go. You are, okay, what I'm at, okay, you're asking this guy to abandon everything he believes in, betray a very powerful crime lord that he is a hundred percent sure can affect his life off continent. This is a big swing. That's a big ask, I know. Go ahead.
Plus you get a free toaster and... You should have led with the toaster. I know, I'm working on my pitch. He is going to step forward and the entire time he's kind of been very close to... He's been very close to Kriya. And he's gonna, he's gonna leave her side and step forward towards Kaladin. I've never been much the hero type. And if we do this, our lives are over no matter what. We can't go back to Brightport and unless she dies, we're gonna spend the rest of our lives constantly looking over our shoulder. But I believe you. So, my question is, where did we go from here?
Does anyone? Who's that? Dun dun dun. Told you, no one listens to me. Does anyone have a passive perception higher than 28? Where do we find that? Aralef says hers is 28. 28 flush. Is exactly 28. Yeah. Where is that? It is, whatever your perception is, add 10. Oh no. Oh, mine's 27. That would be 19 for me. So nevermind, don't worry about it. Even though like he's standing right in front of us. I would say all the attention is on Colas. It's probably Braelyn's brother. Fucker. Yeah, that's, that's, that's Leon. I have a feat, cannot be surprised. Okay. I just thought I'm so defeated about it, but.
I don't think he's going to jump off the ship. So we'll see what happens here. He's going to kill someone. As Colas is speaking, there is going to be a noise from just behind him. It is the very distinct sound of a crossbow, a cross bolt going off. Son of a bitch. And it is going to lodge into the neck of Kria standing behind Colas. And she is going to stumble backward and fall against the side of the ship here. And she is going to kind of feebly like clutch at this. Colas is going to whip around and Leon is going to have a second crossbow leveled at Colas.
Does the party want to do anything before? I have a question. Uh huh. Are they my allies right now? Yeah. Is who? Kria and uh, Colas. Yeah. I think my allies currently. I don't know if it's officially, I believe it's, it's kind of like a nebulous space. They haven't really declared before anything could be declared officially. It's like, okay, we're on your side. Yeah. Oh yeah. We're thinking about it. Yeah. That's why I asked. I was like, still pitch it, still pitch it. What were you thinking? I have word of life and enemy attack reduces an ally within 20 squares of me to zero hit points or fewer.
The target can spend a healing surge. In addition, the enemy takes a minus five penalty to all defenses until the end of my next turn. And it is an interrupt or immediate reaction. I wouldn't, I wouldn't say that they count as allies yet. Okay. I, I do have something that could possibly save her. Two things. One is shared endurance. I take all the damage. The crossbow bolt will still be there, but she won't take any damage from it or yeah. Or an ally, me or someone else could take that. Or I could take the crossbow bolt in my neck instead. Or both for allies though.
Cause that's why I really didn't count. No, target, target. That was a kill shot though. Does that mean you die? That's kind of the problem here because that's a, that like we're talking. We're talking excessive amount of damage. We might be able to save her in a second, but I think like realistically, she's, there's another option. It would be like, Ooh, Ooh. What is it? What's the other option? One of you is carrying a very important artifact. Oh my God. I completely forgot. Oh, I mean, we could use, we could use her death to kind of solidify. Yeah. All this is the deal.
All right. I really, oh God. This is the black head you want to work for? Yeah. Yeah. Let's, let's, let's play it out. Let's play it out. All right. Thanks. Oh, Jason. Wow. Slow claps. Here is the situation because of the placement of the shot. And the reason that there, there, there was absolutely no defense. This was a coup de grace. This was, we're talking a ton of damage and this is if Airlove were to do the thing that she was talking about doing, it could kill her outright. But if it doesn't, then it's fine. And if it does, I will definitely use the scroll in Airlove.
Would Airlove do that though? She's a, she's a necromancer. Yeah, that's true. On top of that, there was a thing Airlove said earlier, defying death goes against the Raven Queen. Yeah. But saving somebody that's different. If the Raven Queen makes that decision, Airlove would be cool with that. Yeah. It all comes down to Airlove if you want to do your reaction or not, I guess. I mean. I mean, I don't want you to die though. I don't know why you didn't die either. I don't think she would do it. It's a media interrupt too. So I could do this. I don't know. I feel like Instinct would tell her to do this.
I think so too, because you've gotten to know her over the last few days. Yeah. I've spent a lot of time with her. So yeah, I was thinking maybe, maybe she actually would, but we don't want you to die. And you've taken people's damage in the past too. Like I said, new for you. All right. Okay. Well, I'm dying guys. We don't know that you're dying. Martyr's ward, the triggering attack hits you instead of them. It doesn't say a gnarlight, right? Close burst 10. Immediate interrupt. Oh, my heart is pounding guys. I'm freaking the fuck out. I need to mute. I'm freaking out.
Is everyone cool? Is everyone cool with this? No. I don't want Airlove to die. I didn't want her to die, she did it anyways. I really wanted to beat her call and her call only. All right. Airlove in the heat of the moment is going to Razor Rod and cast Martyr's ward. Here's how we're going to do this. You are getting hit essentially by this crossbow bolt in the same place as this crossbow bolt hit Kria. I want you to roll a flat d20 on a 16 or higher. You're going to live. On a 15 or lower, you're going to drop dead instantly. Oh, my God. My heart is pounding guys.
I'd say in the course of about five seconds, crossbow bolt, boom, Kria falls back, falls against the side of the ship, Airlove raises a rod, blam, takes the shot for Kria. So the bolt is going to disappear from Korea and like there would have been blood and stuff, but it's just going to stop. The wound's gone. It's almost like this just did not happen. There'd be a scar there. That's it. All of a sudden, the crossbow bolt is going to appear in Airlove's neck and she is going to drop dead on the deck of the ship. Can I immediately reach for her? I want everyone to do me a favor and roll initiative.
Oh, my God. Dagon, your turn. Okay, so he's going to see Airlove fall, apparently dead, and then just scream out, "NOOOOOOO!" And he's going to run up to Leon and use Displace. So that is going to hit Leon. Yes. Here's the thing. Leon's a halfling. He is going to use Second Chance. You bastard! Only I can use that. What are you doing? Which means you have to reroll the attack. Okay. It's a crit! Shit, it's a crit! Each shit and die, Leon. Please say that as Brelin, as he's being flung. Each shit and die, Leon! My understanding is that you wanted to teleport him out to sea.
Yeah, just ten squares straight ahead. All right. Here's what's going to happen. Dagon is going to run up to Leon and just streak across this ship. He's going to pull back his fist and he is going to swing as hard as he can at Leon. And as he swings, there is going to be this billowing plume of smoke that sort of accompanies Dagon's entire forearm. And once it hits Leon's chest, the smoke is just going to scuttle up Dagon's forearm and envelop Leon. Just wholesale. One, just like... And he is going to disappear. And then Dagon's fist is going to extend the rest of the way and sort of point in the direction that Leon is going to appear several feet, like many, many, many feet.
And then that plume of smoke is going to reappear ten spaces away, just *slurp* and Leon is going to plunge into the ocean here. And you're going to see him flail for just a minute and then he is going to disappear under the surface of the water. Is there anything else you'd like to do with your turn? Um, tell me if I can do this, there's something I kind of want to make canon. Because he did this almost out of blind rage, when he does it, his normal blue-white glow actually has just a slight tinge of black in it. - Mhm, okay. - Does that make sense? - Fucking yes.
- That's fine. - Okay, and he'll kind of just be staring like, you know, his pupils will just be like pinholes, staring and kind of shaking at what he's done. And then he'll turn back to Erolove and run back over. - Crain's going to be largely confused, but there's going to be a vague understanding. It's like, okay, I got hit and I was down and I just kind of like, imagine getting hit, black out, down, and then you're just kind of like, you wake up, you could see the blood all over you, like there was, something happened, and then just reach and there's no hole.
And she is going to almost, almost hands and knees just like, just like scamper over toward Colas and just sort of like reach out for him and just like grab. And then Colas is going to grab her back. Cory. - Yes. - You have a choice to make. Do you, do you just want to stop attacking? Like this is it, this is the end of the encounter. Or do you want to take advantage of the situation? - I think I'm going to delay my turn. No, I'm just kidding. She would definitely first instinct to take advantage of the situation for sure. And though she hasn't told anybody about it, she is going to rummage through her knapsack or her satchel.
- Yeah. - And she's going to pull out the scroll and run to Erlo's side. - Okay. So what I'm hearing is you just want to just drop everything. You're not attacking. - She would not, no. - Okay. That for the moment is going to take you out of combat. Now I'm going to give you some food for thought. Erolove technically is dead right in front of you. That is absolutely true. And you do have the scroll, which is a one-time use item. And it is rare as rare can be. And you could absolutely right this moment, bring Erolove back to life. No fuss, no muss, no strings attached.
However, you still have two, let's call them wild cards on the deck right now. And you have four demons below deck. And later on, if this gets messy, you might be faced with a decision. - With no doubt in her mind, she would read this scroll over Erolove. - All right. As Kori reads the lettering on the scroll, the words are going to glow a pale blue. The crossbow bolt is going to disappear from Erolove's neck. The bleeding is going to cease. The hole is going to patch itself up. There will be a scar there. And after a couple of moments, Erolove would sort of awaken with a start, like just this sharp intake of air.
And Erolove will be alive again. The scroll is now rendered useless. It is used. - Hey, Erolove, we're like the saving people's lives, sisters. I feel like we should have saved the scroll, but okay. I feel bad. - I feel like you'd die. - I know. - Like with no regret. - No regrets. #NoRegrets. They better fucking be on our side now. - The fact that Kria got shot in the neck, I feel like, and they seemed to embrace, I think we're okay. - Well, Kolis saw the whole thing, right? So he knows what happened. - And he was saying the words, I believe you, just before it happened.
- Yeah, he was already on our side, half half on our side before my asshole. - That's kind of what triggered the shooting. - Yeah. - That's kind of what triggered the shooting. Oh, you're not down for the cause anymore. Boop. - Yeah. - So how would the party react to all this? - I don't know. Is Kolis attacking us? - Not at the moment. He's sort of busy. - Yeah, I would probably just throw myself down, like check Erelove, even though she just got brought back, but like help her to sit down and stuff like that. - Yeah, Brelin would check Erelove, like he'd go up to her, like, are you okay?
- What happened? - And Brelin is going to look at Erelove's neck and he's going to like mouth the words like, okay, she's good, and then he's going to run to the edge of the deck and whatever spot he last saw, Leon fallen, I'm going to give him finger guns and spit off the boat and then run back to Erelove. - Actor is going to reply to Erelove after she asked what happened. He's going to say, you saved a life. - Did I die? Because she recognizes this feeling of coming back. - This has happened before. - Everybody gets two. - Welcome to the club. Yeah, I'm just going to hold her tighter.
- How? How? How? How? - The Raven Queen brought you back. - If you're still hugging her, she's going to look to, she's going to look to Kori and then squeeze you a little tighter and then like go and then embrace Kori. Not, not trying to shove you aside, but Kori did save a life. - And I picture Kori sort of like holding Erelove's head to her chest and just like, really like, we almost lost you there for a second. - And then she's really tight embrace. - She's sobbing, like racking sobs that shake your whole body. And she's like, thank you. Thank you. Like over and over and over and over again.
- Kori is going to sort of like try to calm her down because she's obviously very anxiety ridden and just sort of like stroke her hand through her hair. It's okay. It's all right. You're okay. - And then probably after a few seconds, she'll get her act together, squeeze you, wipe her eyes and sit back and kind of just sit in like a stunned silence looking at all you guys. And she's shaking, like trembling. - Kalden will go over to her and just put his hand on her shoulder and look her like right in the eyes just to like, are you okay kind of look. - I think at this point she'd be like, this is ridiculous.
So she'll kind of like smirk, like half smile. This isn't my first time to the rodeo. - And he'll smile back and he'll come down to her level and sort of like run his thumb against her cheek, like get her tear away and then shake it off and it like little frozen. - And then it sizzles because she's all heat. - Damn Kori. - Yeah. That's where her fire powers come from. - And he's gonna say to her, that was the scariest thing that has ever happened to me, to see you like that. I'm glad you're okay. And he's gonna squeeze her shoulder and sort of stand up and turn to Kollas and just take a step out and hold his hand out and say, well Kollas, where do you stand now?
- He is going to stand up and sort of lift Kria up with him. Because the entire time they've probably just been sitting there kind of holding each other just like and at that frantic like checking her neck type of thing. It's like there was a hole there a second ago. I saw it. And he's going to take Kaldin's hand and he's going to look over toward Erolove and Kori. All right, that's twice I owe you now. I guess there's no real going back after this. So what do we do with what's below deck? - How do you interact with them? - I don't, not really. They know what's supposed to be done and they take vague direction.
You see me tell them where to go when we got on board? They pretty much stay put there unless something's wrong. And I'm talking the ship sinking or something catastrophic. And then when we get where we're supposed to go, boat stops, I lead them to shore. You notice they didn't move when the hurricane was happening, right? They weren't going to be above deck helping with ropes and sails and all that. They got one job. That's to guard the box. Make sure it goes where it's supposed to. - You were talking about their special powers earlier. Do they communicate with the Black Hand directly?
- As directly as you can get. She might know everything that's happened so far. I got no way of knowing. What I do know is that they're supposed to check in when we reach our destination. The box gets handed off and she'll know about it. At least that's what I'm told. Frankly, I'm inclined to believe her. - Maybe there's a way we can get what's in the box out without them knowing. So that's what they're doing. I don't know if they're connected to the weapon inside. But maybe we can deceive them somehow. - They're not stupid. I mean, they're not the brightest, but they're not just guarding the box.
They know what's inside. You have to understand, they're not gonna stop. They don't care about death. They'll do anything to protect the axe, because that's what they were told to do. They're ceaseless and remorseless. They're built to serve, basically. And they're just gonna keep coming until they get where they gotta go. Look, we owe you. But I'm gonna say this again. It's not too late to just let them go. The only other option I see is we fight them head on. - Do you know if they have any weaknesses? Anything we can exploit? - From what I've seen, they're not fast.
But that's about it. They hit like a ton of bricks. They can do things that are unpleasant. - Do you know what happens when they die? - I have seen one killed once. They just sort of poof, like dissipate. The robes and such are left behind, but they just go away. - Do they go back to the Black Hand? - I have no clue. I do know that when we lost one, she was pretty pissed. Like, she doesn't lose her composure very often. That meant something to her. They must have been difficult to come by. - How did you lose one? - It was stupid. So we were shaking down some punks downtown in Brightport.
And we were under the impression that we had some leverage over them. And it turned out we got some bad information. One of the punks that we were supposed to get some money out of ended up blowing himself up. Quite a bit of explosive, too. Took out two of my guys and one of them. But we're talking big explosion. Leveled a building. I don't think you want to do that on the ship. - Well, I suppose we don't need to decide now. Let's each take a little rest. I think we've been through a lot in the last couple of minutes. And he's gonna look to Kreia. Is she still, like, on the ground or is she...
- No, she's standing. She's standing next to Kolas now. - Okay. - She looks almost more pissed than anything at this point. Like, at first it was, like, shaken up and just, like, upset. Now it's just like, that motherfucker. Like, she was... She's... It looks like she's upset she didn't get to take a swing at him. - Yeah, join the club. - There's one more thing. The axe, it's going... It's going to a higher-ranking military official. My understanding is it's supposed to... It's supposed to turn the tide in some fight. You know anything about the war that's been going on until Orm?
- Just that it's between the Ghisarai and the Lion Folk. - It's also been going on for longer than most people can count. And I think there's some folks who are getting real tired of that. The axe is being sent to... Someone on the Lion Folk's side. And they're... They're not paying anything for it. It strikes me as weird. - When we met with the Black Hand, she said that she was trying to branch out across the seas, presumably. If they're not paying for it, maybe that's the favor that they're getting. That she can set up shop in the New Continent and reap the benefits of whatever is to come.
- See, that's what don't make sense to me. Weapon like that would be worth a lot to the right people. Especially if you've been locked in war for centuries or whatever. That's a real big favor to just hand somebody. I think it's for something else. She's not the type to just give something away without getting something back. Honestly, I don't think she gives a shit about Talor. I think whatever she wants is on the mainland. But that's just me. - Is there anything else you can tell us about the source of her allies? Like her connections? Anything more that links her to the demons?
- Kree is gonna speak up. I... Look, I don't know much about the demons. But I don't think she's controlling them. - Someone is. I'm hesitant to say that I saw it because I don't want them to think we're nuts. - At this point? - That's true, that's true. - Just tell them you're a god. - Yeah. Someone is definitely controlling them. I've seen it. I've seen that the power over them seems to be coming from the mainland. - Is there a way that we can... And he's gonna turn to Kree. Is there a way that we can interrupt it or sever it somehow? - Kree is gonna sort of step forward here.
I don't know if I can find a way to see who's actually controlling them. But... There might be something I can do to get more information. I... I don't think you're gonna like it though. It's... Dangerous. - More dangerous than dying and being brought back? - It depends. I didn't get my powers naturally. I never really had an affinity for magic and... Look, I didn't really have a lot of marketable skills. So... I made a deal. I might be able to summon the demon that gave them to me. - Airlove is gonna stand up from finally... She's still shaking a little bit, but she's gonna stand up.
She can be like, "Are your necromancy powers strong enough?" And she didn't know I knew what's up. - She's gonna narrow her eyes at Airlove a bit, but hard to be really mad at the person who saved your life. - Yeah, and Airlove's rubbing her neck too. - Right. It's all very, very... I'd say the first few seconds are like, "What the fuck happened?" And it's like, "Oh shit, they see the..." Yeah. I'm... I'm not so worried about the summoning him. I don't know what's gonna happen after... That. I don't think... I don't think he can touch me. But... I don't think he has to...
To hurt me, you know? - Brandon, he's gonna stop and she says that. Like, "Well, we cannot be seriously talking about summoning more demons on the boat." Right? "We're trying to get rid of four that are already here." - And which demon are you going to summon? If this is something we did. - Look. I know... The whole demon thing. I can already see the looks you're giving me and I just want to reiterate, I didn't have a choice. It was either I... I get something that was useful or I was going to get drummed out. And I worked too hard to just... To just be cast aside for someone like Leon or...
Any of the other thugs that hadn't earned what I earned. So a couple of weeks back... I broke down and just... I summoned a demon that could help me. Honestly, I regretted it instantly. But this... There's nothing I can really do about it. And Colas is going to move a little closer to her and just kind of wrap an arm around her. He didn't... He barely made sense. It was... I know he didn't feel like he could touch me but... My skin just crawled being near him. Who do you want to summon? She's going to look up into your love's eyes. His name is Dharmak. And... I think...
I could get him to appear on the ship. If... If he give me time. As soon as we heard demons were involved on the ship, we wanted to kill them. I don't think at least Erolove wouldn't want to summon a demon to fix a demon problem. Nah. Well, okay. This... Here's the thing. This... You would know at the very least that this is a... This is a way up there demon. To be able to grant power. This is... To be able to grant power to a mortal for... For like the pack, the game of your soul or something of equal importance. That's a way up there demon, not a foot soldier demon.
How long has Dharmak been dead in King Time? Been dead or been where he is? Been where he is. It's been weeks now. Wow, that's like the fastest promotion in the fucking history of the world. Well, do you know why? Because he's so bad. Dumb motherfucker named Valnor who thought that he was kind of harmless and crazy. I promise we could probably say something then. I'm not a master on the subject, but all I know is that to summon a demon or to... Trade anything with them, you need to sacrifice something extremely important. And I don't think at this point anyone on this ship has this extremely important thing to...
Let go anymore, I think. We need everything we have right now. I think Airlove wants to do something. Go ahead. Because this seems like something she's dealt with in her past. Okay, she's gonna step, she's gonna walk up to Kreia. And if a hand is available, she's gonna grab it. And then she's gonna say, "My brother had a pact in order to gain powers. It was thrust upon him, but every time he used them, he lost a part of himself." Do you really want to lose yourself to this? Is power so important to you that you don't even want to be you anymore? Do me a favor.
Roll a diplomacy check. I am so fucking heartfelt, so it should be plus 20, right? I'll give you a plus two, because it's just because of the moment and the circumstances. And because of Kaladin? And because so plus four total. So 24? That is like nearly the highest thing I could roll. Okay. I would say at first, Kolas would be like, "Eh?" When you go to touch her. But at this point, I think it's just reflex. Just, you know. Okay, sorry. Yes, no, no, no. It's just more like, it's okay. But he's not gonna say or do anything. It's just very, very tense. And Kratos is gonna look into Aralef's eyes.
I gave up my soul to get these powers, and I don't even want them anymore. We're not... We can't go back. We can't work for the Black Hand now. I just want this to be over. And I don't know what to do. Because if, when I die, I know exactly where I'm going. Aralef's gonna squeeze her hand and looking straight back into her face, into her eyes. And she's gonna say, "Then let's win this war and change your fate. If we defeat the demons, they won't have power over you anymore." That's an assumption, but you know. Yeah, that's a huge... Okay. But that's truly what Aralef believes, so.
And you're positive that if we fight with you, you can make that happen? I can't make any promises, and I don't have anything to back it up. But that's truly what I believe. In the wake of our current mission, Kria, there's a possibility that we may be able to bring back divine intervention. There is yet hope. She's gonna look at Kolos, and then she's gonna look back at you. Okay? Here's what I know. You saved my life twice, and you didn't have to. And the first time, yeah, that could have been just misguided spur of the moment. You knew what you were doing just now.
You knew that could have killed you. And you did it anyway. So I think we're fighting for the wrong side. Whatever you need us to do, we'll do it. Just point the way. Okay. Hey, guys. I think that's a pretty good time for us to stop for the night. Yeah, I still don't know what to do with the demons. I guess we'll figure that out next time. Yeah, to Facebook. This episode, guys. Oh shit. Six hours. Oh my God. So that didn't go like I thought it was gonna go. Oh my God. How about you guys? I did not think we were. No, I don't think my brother's not dead. I didn't see a body.
I was thinking about that. Where's he gonna swim to? He would have incurred 35 damage. But if someone dies off camera, they're not truly dead. Yeah, they're gonna come back as a cyborg. Yeah. To actually kill him is the Therian equivalent of cyborg. Well, I guess it would be a war forage, huh? Yeah. War forage or demon at this point, because it looks like demon is like a bad guy. It's the bad guy escape route now. Well, only one bad guy so far. Didn't eat him. Yeah, that's true. He's a pretty resourceful guy. He's like a fucking killer. One hit crossbow. That's only one crossbow.
He had two in my backstory. Well, he raised the other one towards Colus, and then you guys did six. Stop them. Yeah. So you got to meet your brother in game. Yeah. Happy reunion. I told you to get closer. Fuck that guy. Yeah. Brief, but happy reunion. So what do you guys think would be worse? Fighting four demons on a ship or letting them deliver it and then fighting that guy? Lion folk are pretty aggressive from what I remember. They're very strong. And he's a general, so he probably has a whole army. Yeah, he won't be doing the exchange in the alleyway when the one's in the game.
Yeah. I feel like it'll be a very grand gesture, right? Maybe the army doesn't know about it, and he's trying to get some points. I mean, and who even knows if once they have it, we'll even be able to find it again. That's true. Well, we can't let them have it because we need the Gisserai for their... Maybe. Yeah. That's another thing I was thinking. Maybe this whole thing is the demons puppeteering from behind the scenes, and she's obviously getting something in return, but the demons are getting the Gisserai wiped out who are quite possibly the only race on Theria who are willing to maybe talk to people about gates and/or seals.
Yep. So cutting off the flow of knowledge. Yeah, just let the crazy... I mean, not crazy, but the... Hyper militaristic... Yeah, yeah. The lion folk just rain down on them. Because then they don't have that one less army to worry about. I wish I could see Jason's face right now. That's why we don't use webcams. I should have taken a picture of it. It's this great face. He covers his mouth so you can't see if he's smiling or not, but then you see them as eyes and he's just like, "This is the best." Never mind that picture you posted of the dragon you got for your birthday.
I was trying to read the papers behind it. Why do you think I intentionally framed it like that? Well, the other thing you did, Jason, when I went over to drop off the computer, you took stuff down. Yeah. Yeah, there's stuff on the board. He's like, "Oh, wait, one second." And then he went in there and then he took stuff down. Brie's gonna be living in that room, isn't she? Yep. Are you gonna take the stuff down when she's there or does she know? No, actually, here's the thing. I'm gonna put more stuff up that has nothing to do with anything. Oh, that's so strange.
So mean. It's almost like who shot Burns. Yeah, when she was living here for a month, I intentionally had stuff up there. It's like, "Question mark?" She's like, "Fuck you." Like, she could see what it's linked to, but she doesn't know what it is. So it was just, yeah. That was a good game tonight. That was epic. I'm happy I made it in time. Whoa, big things happen. My brother's half dead. I feel Dagon and Brelan are gonna have to have a talk. Why? What did they do? Well, he stole your kill, basically. We didn't steal it. Or you mean I killed your brother? Yes.
As far as Brelan's concerned, he has no family. He doesn't give a shit about it. He doesn't care about it. He's kind of a heat of the moment act of pure rage. Fine, that's fine. That's cool, man. I really like your description of Dagon's black eyes. Yeah. Just like a tinge. Yeah, I love it, man. Black Ramiura. Xavier, animate that. Make it happen. Oh, boy. Okay, here we go. Hey, everyone, this is Alex from Group 2. Play Brelan, the halfling bard. And I hope you enjoyed the episode. Hopefully we lived. Hopefully we didn't die. Who knows? I don't know yet. That's for sure.
