[clink] [clink] Pickaxe. Coming to Apple TV+ on August 9th. You're the Marine? Yeah, you're the ex-con. Yeah, I did time, but you only got to cast aspersions at me. From the director of Mr. and Mrs. Smith and The Bourne Identity comes a new film. This your first job? I know what I'm doing. I'm a little late for a crit change. Starring Matt Damon. Everybody in New England is after us. And Casey Affleck. Go, go, go, go, go! What are you doing? Taking notes. Taking notes on a criminal conspiracy. The Instigators, rated R. Streaming August 9th on Apple TV+. This summer, during the biggest sporting event of the year, Peacock turns to two broadcasting legends for the Olympics coverage you can't find anywhere else.

Um, I think they mean us. Oh, s***. Um... [clears throat] With an incredible duo sure to take home the comedy gold. Olympic Highlights with Kevin Hart and Kenan Thompson. New episodes Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Only on Peacock. Alright, let's go around the table and do that thing we always do. I'm Jason, I'm the Dungeon Master. Going around the table starting with James. Hi, I'm James and I play Dagon Arkenscape, the Eladrin Sion. And Danielle. Hi, I'm Trixie and I... or I'm Danielle and I play Trixie, the Cutthroat Rogue. Uh, which people out there may notice, that's a bit of a change.

Um... Surprise! Ryan! Uh, hey guys. I'm Brian and I play a mole-ruined priest named Mr. Potato Head. No, Reekis. [laughter] And Alanna. Hello, I'm Alanna. I play an elf named Braneth. And Tyson. Hey, I'm Tyson. I play a gnome warlock named Galford. Okay, so. Quick change. Trixie is still pretty much Trixie. But, uh... Yeah, obviously she... Danielle wasn't exactly satisfied with the assassin and how that all fit together and so... This seems much more her play style in Upper Alley. So, live and learn. Everything else is the same though, so... Trixie's angry now. Yes.

Uh... So, quick recap. Last time that we sat down and played, you guys were on a full-out assault on House Darksebane. Just wandering up and down the halls, stabbing and bludgeoning everything that gets in your way. Tons of warlocks have died by your hand and you ended up freeing a scion, a ladrin named Dagon. Who is quite adept at punching things in the chest. That's what I do. Uh... You guys also ended up sneaking through a back portion of this small library within House Darksebane. And you ended up getting the jump on Archmage Theramax. So, instead of outright attacking him, you had to deal with Doug, the beholder.

And in the ensuing fight, he slipped back out a secret passage and he's somewhere, presumably. So, um... Not Doug. Not Doug. No, Doug's dead. You guys killed Doug, which is no small feat, so congratulations on that. Mm-mm. What would you guys like to do right now? Because you're still not done in House Darksebane. Obviously, Theramax's still alive and his right-hand woman. And, like, you haven't fully explored the place. Did anybody check Doug's pockets? What? We're living in a world without Doug. This is a new era for-- Always loot the bodies. It's like rule number one.

Well, Riekus is, after kind of brushing his shoulders off a little bit and getting the dirt off his shoulders, he's shooting daggers over at Galford just because of how he acted during that battle. Or at least right before it. So, yeah, before the battle, there was-- Theramax made an offer to Galford to join up with House Darksebane, if he'd be so kind as to kill all his friends. Galford ended up declining and, well, yeah, you guys all fought Doug. And now we're moving on. Yes. I didn't know if you guys wanted to talk about anything before we moved on or what.

What's this right here? That would be-- Okay, so the-- So you guys are totally cool that Galford betrayed you? No. Awesome. No, no, I-- Suckers. Well, you didn't, really. No, I didn't. Something fishy's going on here. So let's say you guys would have wandered in the main-- That would be the front door to this chamber, basically. You guys came in a hidden passageway in the back. So, yeah. So that would lead back out into the main corridor of the underground complex here. Now, this is really distant and muffled, but from somewhere further into the whole underground thing, you hear this muffled roar almost.

Like, just-- Whatever it is, it sounds huge, but it also sounds restrained and just, like, almost gagged. Huh. Can I put insight on what I hear? Do a perception. 29. Holy shit. Okay, that's-- Yeah, that's fantastic. That, you making an educated guess, sounds like a certain dragon that you guys ran from a long time ago. But it sounds weakened and just-- It almost sounds like there's something shoved in its mouth or something. It sounds like it's more of a panicked cry than a big angry roar. All right, she's back. So, Rikas will look over at Galford and, after shooting daggers, will just calmly walk up to him.

And, in no uncertain terms, basically looks at him and goes, "What was that before we started fighting, Doug? What was-- I completely understand your character, like, who you are as a person. We've obviously been through a lot in the last couple weeks. But each time you're taking these educated risks, I assume what you're telling yourself it is, each time you take these educated risks, you're putting us in danger. Do you want to explain, like, what your rationality behind the fact that you almost wanted to kill us? Because, from my understanding, it looked like until you actually started fighting with us that you were going to be fighting against us.

Rikas, I got a really good explanation for you. But, you know, what Theramak offered, he wanted me to join up and fight with you guys. But I countered by saying I'd like to sit back and observe his demonstration of power. But, I mean, you guys didn't meet him on a call, and he's obviously-- He's incredibly powerful. But, I mean, I don't really know how powerful he was, and frankly, when we saw him down here, I don't know whether he was capable of just lifting his hands and killing all of us in one fell swoop, or whether we could actually see what he was packing, essentially, and whether we even had a chance.

And, you know, frankly, if he was going to kill all of us very quickly, I'd like to be the one that lived. I mean, it may sound a little bit selfish, but Theramak's a monster. He needs to be removed. If I had to do it months, weeks, years from now by working my way into Darkspane, and that was the only solution, if it looked like he was going to kill us in one fell swoop, you know, I probably would have gone that way. I don't-- If it was our only chance. But as soon as I had a chance to observe him and see what he was going to be bringing to the table, and when he introduced the beholder, which, don't get me wrong, was a terrible thing to see, I-- We're not ready to fight him, but I think that we could take him now as a group.

So, you know, it was a win-win situation. So either way, I would have survived, and eventually taken down Theramak on my own through the inside of House Darkspane, or, hey, we got a really good look at what he's capable of. We're all still standing, and next time we meet him, we'll be that much stronger for it. So, you may not like it, but, you know, at least one of us would have lived if he was going to kill us all in one fell swoop. I know. Valus is kind of-- He's taking his sleeve and just kind of, like, wiping the blood off of his shit while you're talking.

And he's not making eye contact, but he's definitely listening. All right, so what do you guys want to do next? I mean, we came in here to heal Tala. He's told us there's no cure. I don't know. I think he's lying. However, we're running out of time, and we need to make a decision pretty quickly on what we're going to do. Okay. Can I suggest we got to get done with this room, and we have to go check on her? Yeah, but it looks like there's a chest over in the corner. I mean, do we want to at least try to make sure that there's nothing within this room so we can just go ahead and get out of here?

Yeah. No, I want to-- Like I said, I want to get-- Like, I don't want to leave immediately, but I want to get done, so I want to explore everything that we can efficiently. Because I don't know if we're going to be able to get in here again, but we got to get out and check on her. I don't think any of us should try and pursue Thermac. I'm glad we've had a look at him and seen a little bit more of what he can do. But I'm not sure we could take him right now, but he's not an all-encompassing threat. Hey, we've driven him out of his private chambers, so...

I think, I mean, we don't know where he's at right now. He's a danger to us as long as we don't have tabs on him. Does he think that we've been Doug's lunch? Like, we can't know that. Either way, we've got an advantage. He's moved on, he thinks we've either been killed, or if we're alive, we've been steadily moving our way through the complex and acquiring more powerful items and removing more threats from every room. I don't want to get my guard down. He could very well be in this house. He could be on the other side of that door. You could have another one of those eyeballs watching us.

Exactly. That's what I was thinking. So, I'm interested in that chest, and I'm curious to know what these two things are. Alright. Those appear to be just clothing racks, things like that. The chest, on the other hand, contains 500 gold. Oh my. Yeah. That's a lot of beer money. So, that is 500 gold. So, that's great, because you guys have nothing. You guys have, walking into House Dark's Bay, you had zero monies. None. So, splitting it evenly, each of you would get 100 if you're not giving anything to Valus. Yeah, I was going to say, are we going to share with Valus?

That is up to you guys. We need money. But... He's been fighting with us, I think it's fair. He's got his mom's store. He's got a source of revenue from his mom. Out of character, I want to keep feeding the monster so the monster likes us and keeps fighting with us. As crazy as that sounds. He's not motivated by money. I think he deserves a fair share. I think Valus would be insulted if we offered him money like he was some mercenary. Well, why don't you ask him? So, okay, you're talking about this in character, how you're going to divvy this up. We should all get 80 gold.

Every single one of us. Including Valus. I think that's fair. Unless Galford's going to be a prick. Hey, I'm not motivated by money. Power. You're motivated by power. Well, it's settled then. Okay, you didn't even... Valus doesn't seem to care one way or the other. He's just kind of packing up his shit and... He's kind of putting his sword away, wrapping the chain up and everything. Have you decided what you wanted to do? Is there anything else in this room? Okay, there's a few items in the room that are... Unsettling. Like, there's a small pool of blood. It looks to be almost like...

Remember the small water fountain type of thing you guys had in Onakol in your slave quarters? It's like that, but filled with blood. Oh my. There's tons of... All over the wall there's tons of markings and etchings and... It almost looks like notes in another language or something like that, but all of them are clearly made with blood. Is there a mark of blood mage? Could be? Can I do an arcana check on some of the sort of runes and etchings on the wall? Sure, go right ahead. Cool, okay. So Gelford's gonna kind of walk around the room and sort of run his hands along the wall and look at some of the stuff and see what it is. 31. 31?

That's fantastic. They look to be a few different divinations and things like that. One of which is to... It didn't really do him much good, but one of them is to protect people from just phasing into his quarters or to be able to stealth in or sneak by, something like that. You guys walked in though, it didn't matter. Like you accidentally... You totally fell ass backwards into it, but you managed to find the thing without walking through the front door. It also protects people from spying on him from the outside, kind of like what he does from the eyeballs and things like that.

Where did that eyeball come from? Those are his. It's like a makeshift security system for the house. He actually has a couple of them in the house kind of spying. Oh, creepy. And there's nothing like that in here? You don't see anything, no. Okay. But there wouldn't need to be one in here because he's in there, so yeah. Sorry, go on. For the second time, you guys hear this muffled roar, and it seems to be coming from the door that you didn't enter in. That would have been the end of the hallway, but you guys kind of hung a left and went down into the library.

It sounds like it's coming from the same room as where you found the dragon the first time. I need to check that out, you guys. Okay. Are we done in here? Okay. Alright. I want to check on the dragon, too. As Baranath is starting to walk over to the other door, I'm going to say, "What do you hear?" You obviously hear something coming from the other side of that door. Where are we going next? I hear the sound of suffering. You know, Talo's suffering at the front door, and I thought we came in here for a cure. Also, might I remind you that if she does actually turn into a ghoul and walk back out into Brightport in a matter of minutes, we could have an outbreak worse than on a call on our hand.

Overnight, Brightport could essentially be a dead city. I know we would like to heal Talo, but I think maybe we also need to mitigate the risk. Does anyone else think we should go check on her? If you think Theramax is going to give you a cure, you're crazy. He's pure evil and would like nothing more than to see you suffer at the sight of her turning. You'd be better off dealing with her yourselves. So you're saying that the most humane thing to do is, if she's turned, is to dispatch her with some dignity. I'm going to turn to Valus and say, "Let's go check on her." He just nods.

You're heading... okay, so you would be heading back out into the hallway here. So let's illuminate. There's nothing to your right once you get out there. You've reached the end of this hallway. So it's the main chamber that you guys were just in, and then just across the hall, everyone is hearing this. It just sounds like pain. Educated guess would be it's that same white dragon. You hear thrashing and just a muffled roar. All the way back where you came, this is a pretty damn long hallway, would be where Tala is. So do you want to continue to go check on Tala, or do you want to walk across the hall and see what's going on there?

I think we have to go check on Tala. Well, can she get out? I mean, that's the issue. You guys didn't bother closing doors behind you. Yeah. You guys just kind of kicked... as a matter of fact, most of the front of the building is on fire. That whole front porch is still on fire. And I vaguely remember Kool-Aid manning a door. Is Trixie still holding a bomb? Yes. I've been waiting for her to get hit really hard. I was hoping you'd kind of forget. Boom. Okay. All right, so we should probably head down the hallway and look for her. At the end of the hallway where you guys had descended the steps, and it's kind of this archway, Tala is still laying there.

Like, still right where you left her. Is she alive? She appears to be completely non-responsive. That's just you eyeballing her from there. If she is breathing, it's incredibly shallow. Oh, gosh. I want to go to her, but I'm afraid. So Galphiter turned to Valus and said, "How much time do you think we have? At the very least, should we get her someplace comfortable? Or maybe restrain her?" Valus is kind of eyeballing her along with the rest of you, and it doesn't... it's one of those things where she looks dead from where you're standing. But she could just be in really bad shape.

Valus is going to say, "We should have killed her an hour ago." And he's kind of got his hand on the handle of his sword. But it's still sheathed and everything, but he's just kind of standing there along with you guys. I'll look around at the group and I'll just hang my head a little bit and acknowledge the fact that we all feel really gloomy and just say, "I know it's not anything we want to do. And I know it's not anything any of us desire to be put into a position to do. But we need to make a decision now whether or not we need to take the risk any further with her.

Because at this point, I don't know if we're going to be able to save her." So Gelford will say, "She was a disciple of the Raven Queen, and what she had told us was that the Raven Queen doesn't fear death. It's moving on to the next stage of existence and the next plane. So, I mean, we may be afraid of the unknown for Tala, but if she was a devout follower, this would be her moving on to the next plane. If we allow her to turn into a ghoul and walk around, we would be denying her the next steps in her existence. I can't make any suggestions on what the humane thing to do would be.

We did find Dagon in a room that had restraints, that had some equipment. I don't know if there's any solution in there. Do we even know what we're dealing with yet? Is she alive? Has she turned? We did see her chest rising and falling. Was she breathing? No, I didn't. You didn't say that? Okay. No, no, no. I never said that at all. Is there any kind of check we can do on her? Yes, you'd have to get close enough to make it. How close do I have to get to make it? Any volunteers? Close enough to touch her. This is basically turning her over and seeing if she's breathing at all.

Can we wrap Valus's chain around someone so he can just pull them back if she tries to watch? I was thinking either that or just somebody, two people go up and one person check, and then the other one, if she goes to jump or something like that, just reflexes and try to... I have an idea. I also have a suggestion too. Go ahead, Valus. I have a power called Turn Undead. Would that have effect on her if she were not undead? What are the exact... Let me see. Turn Undead. That's thinking outside the box. Target each undead creature in the burst. That's my target, and it's a close burst too, so I actually don't have to be within reach of her.

I cast it. It's a burst too. Right. And undead creatures. Each undead creature in the burst. Each undead creature in the burst. So I guess, yeah. The other suggestion I had is I have my Mage Hand. We were talking about it earlier. It conjures a spectral floating hand in an unoccupied square within range, and it can pick up or manipulate an object weighing 20 pounds or less. That should be enough pressure to at least turn her shoulder, turn her head, push on her or something with the Mage Hand to see if she at least jumps forth violently. We can obviously have a look to see if she's undead.

That's a really good idea. Both of them will work. Why don't we try Galford's intervention first? Okay. All right. So Galford will just turn over to Branath and say, "I don't know how close we should get, and I have a way where I can see if I can rouse her without getting too close. Would the rest of you let me do it?" I'm okay with that. Okay. So I'll conjure a floating pointy finger. All right. Hold on one second. Everyone, put yourselves down at the other end of this hallway, please. Like in this zone, somewhere in there. It's a ranged five. Okay. Cool. So the little spectral hand comes forth, like the hand in Super Smash Brothers, something like that.

Yeah. And what are you trying to do? Just poke her, jostle her, just something like that? Just almost like a shake her shoulder, like grab her shoulder, sort of turn her a little bit. You know, kind of like if you're trying to wake somebody up quickly when they're in bed. Right. Galford's also going to turn to Valus and just say, "Be ready." And also we'll turn around to Dagon and just say, like, "You've seen firsthand what Darkspane can do to its victims, and we've seen what you can do." I'll do what's necessary. Hand comes out, kind of like shoves her shoulder a little bit, kind of shakes her.

Nothing. Just nothing. Not even a wheeze or a cough or anything, just kind of nothing. All right. Shh. Okay, are these, like, undead attracted to anything like blood or a certain smell or a sound or anything like that? Usually just people up moving around. Okay. Sounds, too. Yeah, can we observe if her chest is rising and falling? We should be close enough to see if she's breathing. Again, if she is, it's very, very shallow. Like, remember, she'd be wearing armor, too, and everything. So it's, like, you're 20 feet away or so, so, well, you'd be about 15 feet away.

Do we, I mean, do we have anything radiant that we could cast on her? Well, you can always do Brandon's suggestion. Like, should I try turn undead? I think that would be a good idea. Okay. That would give us a definite answer of what she is right now. Okay. We either need to restrain her, you know, or we need to confirm that she's a threat. Well, I mean, if she's undead -- We can't restrain her until we know she's a threat. Well, that's, like, if she's undead, it's gonna hit her. Mm-hmm. If she's not, it's not. All right. Okay. And then we can go restrain her after.

All right, so Brandon's gonna stand in the hallway and fire off turn undead. Okay. Go ahead and roll, please. Yep. That will hit Tala. Oh, God. Let me label that. So she is, in fact, a zombie. So go ahead and roll damage, please. 13. All righty. And zombie Tala. So this thing strikes her, and she didn't give any, like, there was nothing. Just the jostle or whatever didn't do anything, but something about the radiant damage hitting her, she just kind of, eyes wide open, just white pupils, nothing there, and she begins to kind of, like, claw at the ground and start to stand back up.

But that's gonna take a little bit, because, of course, she's prone. You guys want to -- you could roll initiative if you like. Like, I mean, gonna have to, I guess, but yeah. Add her to the initiative, drag her. She got a four for initiative, so this is gonna be quick. Woo-hoo, I got a nine. Take her head off. 23. All right. 24. Right, Riekha's gonna hit her, and all of a sudden she's standing there like, okay, thank you. This will -- yeah, this won't be pretty. 24 for Riekha's. I got a crit. 27. 27 for Dagon. Oh, wow. God, is Dagon gonna be the one? I totally put the -- is that a crit?

A nine for Trixie. It'd be pretty calculating. Dagon has no attachment to her at all, and I think his personality, too, would want to -- you know, it would make sense to eliminate the person if there was no other hope. All right, Dagon, go ahead. Your turn. By the way, Tala is immobilized. She can't move, so... A force burst one directed right at Tala would not hit Baranath, right? No, it will not. What power is that? Force hammer. Force hammer, okay. So I'm just gonna move up a bit to here. So we're all kind of turning away in horror and the new guy's just stepping up.

D20 plus nine is probably a miss. Unless you roll a three, in which case that's a 12. Yeah, that's gonna miss. Okay. Sorry, dude. Hey. R e I'm doing my best. Are you charging? Yeah, I'm charging. Okay. Say that. So that's 11 plus one because of the new power I got since it's the first turn, and then plus one because, in a way, I was speedy because I just never stopped talking. Were you? Were you speedy? 23. That'll hit. And then it's 1d10. No, wait. Is it 2d10 because I was charging? Yes. It's been long enough. 2d10 plus eight. 19. 19 is a big hit. So she's lying on the ground just kind of snapping and clawing, and you come down with this hammer on her head, and that will definitely bloody her.

So she reacts to that just kind of, "Ugh." And Riekis will visibly, like, right as he's slamming the hammer down, he's gonna have a look of horror and a look of disgust about the fact that he has to do this. Galford, your turn. Okay, so Galford will yell over at Riekis and just say, "Riekis, don't get too close. It's not Tal anymore. The last thing we need is for you to be bitten too." And I will move up to there and use Shadow Claws. 22 against Fortitude. That'll hit. Okay. 1d10 plus six. Nine damage. And nine will kill her. So Tal just falls. Just limp.

Just dead. Just kind of this gurgling noise escapes her as she just stops moving. So she is dead. Done. Which is a pretty anticlimactic end, sadly, but yeah, that sucks. So Galford will turn to the group and just say, "Are you relieved? It's over. It was the best end we could have given her. And, you know, Riekis, I'm glad it wasn't you." Riekis will look at Galford and kind of crack his neck a little bit when the word "honor" comes out of Galford's mouth and just say, "You should probably learn what the definition of a word is before you try to use it." I'm gonna slowly walk and just stand next to Valis and just softly start to cry.

You continue to hear that roaring from the other end of the hall. It's a bit more distant now, but yeah, you guys, you can definitely still hear it. I'm walking straight down that hallway. So Galford's going to sort of stop Valis and just say, "Can we carry her body into the other room?" And see if Valis would be willing to at least pick her up and move her to the dining room kind of thing. He's just gonna look back at it for what? Just to cover her up, give her some dignity, because I think some of the members of the party are gonna need to give her a proper burial.

He's kind of looking at you, just kind of puzzled. "You would have betrayed us had the offer been more plentiful in your favor, and now you want to bury her." I didn't say the burial was for me. "Let's finish here and then we can do that later." Very well. And Valis kind of double steps it in time behind Baraneth. So, to be clear, just asking you guys, that is that you're heading towards the last room that you haven't explored in this complex. I want to see what's going on. Yeah, I kind of want to find the dragon. So, at the end of the hall here, everyone put your characters right in this area, all the way down at the end of the hall.

So looting Tala was out of the question, right? Oh, you could have brought it up? Yeah, I'm still over there. While everyone's gone, I'll do it. Okay, yeah. If you want to do that while everyone else is walking, like you just want to bend down and start rifling through her stuff? Well, yeah. I have no time to. Okay. So Dagon stays behind while everyone else walks into this hallway. Dagon stays behind and rifles it. Now, she has no money or anything like that, but you could take her shoes. You could just take her. I'm looking for something useful. Zombie shoes.

I mean, mostly it's just whatever she has on her. It's not like her weapon and armor and stuff. That's all she has. That's really it. Like, she didn't have anything of use for the most part. The only thing she had that was worth anything was the scroll, and someone already took that off her. So... Cough cough. She's got her weapon, though? It's like, she uses an implement, basically. It's a rod. It helps her change forms and stuff, I believe. I'm going to take it, and... Okay. Not for me. Someone might want it down the line. Someone who knew her. Something like that.

Yeah, you never know. So, okay. Dagon pockets that, and I'm guessing rejoins everybody else down the hall. These doors aren't even locked. In fact, they're not even closed. You can take her shoes. And Dagon creepily cuts off a lock of her hair. I just imagine him strolling down the hallway, just whistling, like, "Nothing ever happens." Where'd you go? Nothing? It's not even that. Ooh, sorry about your zombie friends. As he's, like, holding the shoes against the bottom of his feet to see if they fit. Man, she had small feet. These doors aren't even closed all the way.

They're not locked. They're not closed at all. It's just kind of closed, too, so the doors open kind of a crack. And that roar is tremendous this close to it. It definitely sounds like something's in pain. I want to open this door a little more and see what's inside. Okay, do me a favor and roll a stealth check. I am not stealthy. You want me to open the door? See, Brenneth doesn't know that this is the room that the dragon was in. Like, I mean, she could maybe assume that, because she never was in House Darksean before. She met the dragon in the alley. We didn't come this way whenever we came in the room.

This sound is very familiar to me. Fourteen. Okay, that's not incredibly stealthy, but not terrible. So you're kind of opening this door a bit, and it is creaking. Like, it is kind of making a bit of noise as you peek in. And let me just illuminate for you guys. Thermac and Laura are in this room. And they're standing in front of the white dragon. The dragon is completely chained down. It's kind of shackled and then chained over. It can't move a muscle, for the most part. Its neck is kind of stretched out onto the ground like a snake. Like, the entire thing is held tight to the ground.

And Thermac is making several small cuts in its neck. Has he seen us? He doesn't know we're peeking in? He's pretty busy at the moment. Okay. So Galford's going to tug on Rikas's arm a little bit and say, "Rikas, you know exactly what's in this next room, and it nearly killed us." "We failed in our mission to heal Tala." "I mean, there's plenty of other spoils and revenge to be had in this house." "But do we want to run the risk of a fight with this dragon again?" "You saw what it did to the entire city." "We had enough trouble bumping into Thermac." "How many more risks are we going to take?" Galford, stop talking.

Thermac is in there. The dragon is not the threat. Thermac is the threat. If we can hit the dragon on our side. And how do you know that? The dragon had nearly killed us before. Now instead of fighting a maybe weakened white dragon, we would be fighting Thermac at his full strength with his pet to freeze us and rend us. Galford, do you want to look for yourself? She's completely chained down. He's torturing her. And how do you know that? Because I just looked in the door. Rescuing a dragon is automatically going to bring it to our side to fight a... You know, the most powerful member of House Darksepane.

Isn't it enough that there's a creature that's suffering? There's a creature in pain. We have the capacity to stop that. If we're lucky, he'll kill it and remove one more threat from this house. How can you say that? How can you say that? It nearly killed you because you were stealing from it. And this dragon is sentient enough to know that we're the rescuers. What I am hearing right now is not the cry for love of a master. That creature is suffering and I intend to intervene. And a cornered animal will strike at anything around it. Galford, honestly, he's scared of it.

He's got it chained down because he's scared of what it can do to him. Otherwise he wouldn't be worried about it. If we can release that dragon, it will snap at anything close to him. Hopefully it'll be him. I don't understand how you guys have stayed alive this long. Once again, I'm the only one, the only sane man in this group. Valus, Dagon, would you like to waltz in there and face a white dragon and Thermac in our weakened state after we're emotionally rattled from losing one of our teammates? I mean, I just, I was forced to kill. The dragon doesn't appear to pose a threat right now.

And Thermac, we need to take out. We, no matter what situation we get into, we're going to be taking a risk. That's inevitable. That's exactly what we all can expect. And at this point, and I'm going to try, and Rikas is looking directly at Galford, I'm going to try because I still have some sort of respect in my body for you, even though I shouldn't. But at this point, you should probably be the one that should be not talking and listening for once. Because you've talked so much. And it's, we need to figure out how to get through this together. Because as much divide as we have right now, the only way, regardless if we're going to be facing a white dragon, we're going to be facing Thermac, whoever we're going to be going up against, the only way we're going to be able to get through this is if we all have to focus and work together.

And it's not going to help that we're all separate and divided. It's going to come down to compromise. And we have to make decisions that may not be the best at the time. But we have to work together. Rikas, I just told you in our last interaction with Thermac that we probably couldn't beat him. That the selfish decision that I made was to observe his power. And I said we shouldn't pursue him, that I don't think we can take him down in our weakened state. I don't like to see any creature suffer and maybe Baranath is right. Would you at least consider leaving the compound, regrouping, resting, bringing some allies to our side, some weapons to our side, and coming back in force to take down Thermac?

Is riding on emotion going to help us defeat him? No. I'm not disagreeing with you and I'm not disagreeing with what they're saying. Not backing down is what defeats him. Who's going to listen to us? We kind of don't have the best reputation in this town. So Valus has been watching this entire thing, just pinballing back and forth. And eventually he just draws his sword and says "Baa!" and just bats the door open and walks inside. So Galphin's going to face Pomm. I'm going to walk in right behind Valus. Yeah, I'm here. Alright, so... Dagon's got a big grin on his face, he's coming. [Laughter] Galphin's going to lean against the back of the door and sit out the first round.

Cowards and jerks need not apply. Yeah, we don't need you. Go home. Alright, so, Therak is obviously... they know that you're in the room. He's busy cutting at this dragon. He's got what looks to be this ceremonial type of dagger. And he's just making these small cuts. And it looked to be in some sort of pattern on the dragon's neck. And he says "Laura, be a dear. Keep them busy." So here's what we're going to do. Everyone roll initiative. 19. Suddenly with +5 initiative, I'm the greatest initiative roller ever. 21. I got a 17. 17 for Galthar. What did you say there, Trixie? 18. 18 for Trixie.

I had 21. 21 for... man, he's all about the good... yeah. That's all I can do. Valus rolls a 23. Theramax is going to get an 11 and Laura is going to get an 18. Valus is going to go first. He is going to... let's see... It totally makes sense, actually, if he charged forward straight at Laura and used his melee basic attack. So I can bust out the dice for him. And we're still all out of dailies, eh? And surges? Umm... you... whatever condition you were in at the end... Actually, you know what? Let me see here. Dailies and everything, because you leveled up, you get your dailies back and everything, but you're going to keep the same health that you had before in your surge values.

Oh, okay. So all your dailies and encounters are reset, so... Woo! I'll let you have that. Oh, Jesus Christ. [Laughter] Ahh, Valus. Valus is going to charge forward and take a wild swing at this chick, and she is going to deftly dodge it. Like, it was nothing. Like, he just swung with nothing. Ahh... Dagon, your turn. Okay. I want to use my static mode here, but Valus is going to have to get out of there before my next turn. Okay, so you're going to shout something to him. Yeah, because that static mode attacks any creature within three. So, um... And I want to throw the mode right here.

Okay, that will hit the dragon. Oh, yeah, let's not do that. Wait, one, two... What's the area that it... that affects... It's a burst three, you said? Burst three, yeah. So let's go... let's go here. That won't hit the dragon, right? Yeah, because it goes out from three wherever you put it. Oh, out from three. So it would be one, two, three. Okay, I'm sorry. So right there, that would be... Will that hit there, Max, still? Uh, let's see here. Yeah, that will hit him, yeah. So nobody get close to that. Is there any chance we could put that on there, or just know where...

Because I'm just trying to think for my turn. I want to make sure that I'm not going to be in that area. Yeah, so right there. Okay. That's a big fucking area. That's three, okay. One, two, three, yep. Burst three is pretty damn big, so... So is that going to hit me now? Uh, yes. Shit! I can't get out of there either. Shit. Well, you know, these things happen. Uh, Ricus, your turn. Um, so before I actually move, if I, hypothetically speaking, if I move up to like that area, and attack, and it hits and whatnot, can I still fade back one? No. I can't. No, because you've moved already to get there.

Frick. Um, damn. How bad is the damage for the static mode? I'm just wondering how big the damage is for the static mode. Uh, three, six, seven. Ooh, okay. I actually have, uh, it's an immunity a bit to lightning, so it shouldn't be too bad. Damn, so I'm literally just going to be able to move, because I do not want to get hit. Yeah. Um, so I'm going to move one, two, three, four, and then it's, uh, we'll move five, which gives me, still gives me a chance to charge her, assuming she doesn't move. Okay. And then I'll end my turn, I guess. Alright, Barandith, your turn.

And Lara is slowed, if she does move. Okay, so I'm going to move, uh, my six spaces. I'm going to cast my Astral Seal. Astral Seal is a d20 plus 11, plus one 'cause I'm speedy. Oh, oh, it's 13. That is a crit miss. Oh my. And, uh, that's, that's all I'm going to do. Wait, no, um, uh, I'm going to use my, oh crap, where'd it go, where'd it go, where'd it go? Oh no, okay, I thought I, I wanted to use something, but I can't find it. Okay, I'm going to end my turn. She had a faith. I'm going to end my turn. Okay. Alright, and that'll bring up Lara. Uh, let's see here, she has some stuff.

She's going to use Dance of Death. So, Lara has these twin blades. Uh, and what she's going to do here is she is going to, uh, she's going to attack Valus. Uh, oof, 31, so that'll hit. Uh, and then she's going to kind of, like, backflip Pirouette, uh, over here to Rikas, uh, and make another attack. I picture that she's kind of like the Twi'lek stripper from Star Wars. Shit. Yeah. She almost crit. Yeah, so she hit both, yeah, she hit both of you guys, so. Bitch. [Laughter] Uh, that's seven damage to each of you. Okay. That's not too bad. I'm okay with that. I enjoyed her dance moves.

Yeah, she's kind of badass. Uh, Trixie, your turn. Alright, can I move through this purple area without getting hurt if I just, if I'm just using my move to get through it? Sure. Okay, um, so I can- Wait, actually, then maybe I should not say that before I- It might slow her down, but, um. If not, I can go around it. I was just curious if I can go through it and be a lattice. No, it's only, it's only a creature that starts its turn adjacent to the moat that is slowed until the end of its turn. Okay. So I can move through it? Yeah, you're fine. Alright, so.

I'm gonna move six to right there. Okay. And I am going to use my Disheartening Strike. Okay. It's a D20 plus 15 and one 'cause I'm speedy. Thirty-one. Shit. Shit! Yeah, that'll hit. Hell yeah. Alright, and then it's a eight plus eight. Fifteen. Fifteen damage. Well done. That's gorgeous. New Trixie's much better than Trixie. She's angry. Galford, your turn. Okay, uh, I'm going to use my, um, sort of innate Shadow Walk ability that if I move three plus squares from my starting square, I gain concealment until the end of my next turn. Um, the one thing I was wondering about though is what is the dragon restrained with?

Like, how- Chains. If we wanted to restrain it, would we attack the chains or is there some type of a check? Um, there's, uh, it appears to be, so these are huge thick chains, uh, wrapped around, uh, these anchors and, uh, uh, they're, they're locked down with this big solid lock. So you could actually get next to it and check, uh, like you could make a thievery check to unlock the lock or, uh, you can start trying to hack away at the chain if you want. Okay, what if I froze the lock? Would the dragon be able to bust it or is it too weakened? Uh, it's, it's kinda weakened right now.

It's, it's still chained down. Like, the lock itself wouldn't really, it'd be like the chains. And if you froze the chains, then that, it is a white dragon though, so that really wouldn't bother the dragon. But, yeah, it, it, it would probably just ice over the chains. It really wouldn't- It wouldn't weaken them or anything. Okay. Yeah, alright, sorry. They're pretty, they're big giant links. Okay. If you guys want, I can try to work my way over there. I have a 13 thievery. Well, standing right next to Thermak might not be a great idea. Well, I don't stand right next to Thermak.

I'll be like two squares away. Uh, okay. So like this, it would be like right, like right here. So you'd be a few squares away. Like, it's, it's right there on the side. In fact, I'll make a little, uh, little zone here so that you know. Bam, there, that's where the, that's where the lock is. Alright, well I'll try to make my way over there. Okay. Um, now I wanted to try and get line of sight on Laura, but I don't think I can 'cause everybody's bunched on her. Uh, okay. One, two, three, four, five. Actually, I'll stop there. And then I'll just end my turn because I can't hit anything from there.

Alright. Uh, Thermak's turn. While you guys are doing this, he's still cutting into this, uh, this dragon. Uh, and it would appear, uh, that he's wrapping up whatever he's doing with this thing. Uh, and he kind of takes his hand and smears, uh, the, the, the, 'cause this dragon's bleeding now. Like, it's, it's definitely bleeding. It's, it's, it's got several cuts on its neck. Uh, and he kind of takes the blood and smears it up and down the dragon's neck. Uh, and it's all over his palm. Uh, and he's gonna kind of hold his hand aloft and, and, and speak some words.

And let me remove Thermak real quick so that I can change him up. These, uh, these kind of bloody tendrils shoot out from, from where he was standing and kind of encompass him almost like a, like a cocoon. And then just kind of rip away. And what is left... There we go. Alright. So, uh, Thermak's skin is, it looks to be stripped away. And he just looks like this, um, this blood-covered skeleton in the same robes and everything. Like, it's all the same robes. It's just, uh, like, uh, picture kind of a Dragon Ball Z Super Saiyan thing for, for blood mages and necromancers.

That, that kind of deal. Uh, this is scary as fuck. Like, if you, if you're witnessing it. So, just throwing that out there. He's a Super Saiyan Cenobite. There you go. Something like that. Yeah. Uh, and I'll just keep him at the end of the Initiative Tracker there. There we go. Uh, and that's gonna end... Oh, wait, no. That's not gonna end his turn. Um, in the room with you guys. You didn't do a Perception Checker or anything in the room. Um, there are, uh, several, like, um, looks to be like figures covered with sheets. Something like that in the back of the room.

Uh, and he is going to, uh, just kind of, like, stretch his arms out. And, uh, more of these bloody tendril things are gonna shoot out. And just kind of rip the sheets off the wall. And what is under the sheets... Still wanted to help the dragon, eh, Baranath? Uh, so it looks to be, uh, six. Uh, six Warforged soldiers are against the wall here. Uh, and let me add them to the Initiative Tracker because all of their, uh, their kind of lifeless eyes power up. Uh, and they, they, they glow red. So I'm gonna add all of them to the Initiative Tracker. I didn't want to die this episode.

You guys wanted to help the dragon. I had suggested leaving. Shut up, Galf. Alright, so the new order is, uh, Warforged soldier number one. Uh, so that's gonna be his turn first. Uh, so, let's see, he is going to move... two, three, four, five, six. So he's not gonna quite get to... you know what, he's gonna move again. And that'll be his turn and he'll, he's right next to Dagon now. Uh, Valus... Valus is gonna charge right for Thermac. Uh, and he is going to ready his sword and make another melee basic attack. And... quit this again! Are you fucking kidding me?

Oh man. Valus is broken, guys. I don't know what happened, but... He has a handicap, re-roll. Something in him is broken. He sneezed, re-roll. He's not feeling it tonight, guys. I don't know. Dagon, your turn. Yeah, I hope he likes it. Now, your mote. Yeah. Your mote. Let's look that over now. Each creature in the burst. So everyone that's in here right now is gonna take some damage here. Everyone gets attacked. Go ahead and roll attacks for everyone. Okay, so... Start with yourself. D20 plus nine. Okay, for me. Great miss. Eleven! Almost! Yeah, that missed. Go for the Warforged Soldier.

Great. Twenty-six. That'll hit. Go for Valus. Miss, miss, miss, miss. Twenty-one. Versus what? Reflex? Uh... yeah. Yeah, that'll hit Valus. Reflex will hit, yeah. And Theramax. Twenty. That'll miss. Sorry, Valus. Told you to get out of there. Go ahead and roll damage. 3d6 plus seven. Seventeen. Ooh. Alright, seventeen damage is going to Bloody Valus. Oh... And it's gonna Bloody the Warforged Soldier. Su... ricus. Oh, yeah, that wasn't even your turn. Go ahead. That wasn't even my turn. Okay, so the Warforged is getting the Force Punch. Oh, shoot. So, versus four to two. D20 plus nine.

Twenty-three. Versus four to two. Yep, that'll hit. Sweet. So, 2d8 plus ten. Sixteen. Sixteen damage. You are gonna punch this thing and its limp body flicks across the room. Uh, and he's dead. Warforged are such pussies. Like, I can't imagine... No, they're not. I can't imagine worrying about them, like an army of them. They'd be such pushovers. Only a group of wimps would be worried about them. [laughter] Ricus! Okay, so I am going to... You said our dailies and everything reset, right? Go ahead, yes, yes, yes. Okay, so I'm gonna take a swing at Laura with the Ruin of Final Act.

It's a daily. One creature strength versus fortitude. It's, um... So it's one, or d20 plus twelve, because I gave one because I'm speedy. Nineteen, and it's strength versus fortitude. That'll miss. It does half damage, though. Okay, good. So, that's 2d10 plus eight. Twenty-five. So it'll be, like, round up. What? No. What power is that again? Sorry. Do you want me to just read the effect? No, no, no, read the power, because I gotta check it off. Oh, it's Ruin of Final Act. There you go. Okay, yeah. Then, no, since it missed. The effect actually matters. Now the effect matters.

Oh, the effect does? Yeah, unless it says hit specifically, the effect always takes place. The target is affected by a deathly Ruin, save ends. Until the Ruin ends, you and your allies gain a plus two power bonus to damage rolls against the target. Whenever you or any of your allies hit the target, the bonus increases by one. So there you go. She's marked for death, essentially. That's what you're doing. Berenith! Okay, so I'm going to move next to Laura here. And I'm going to use my Astral Seal on her, which is d20, plus 11, plus one because I'm speedy. 30. 30.

Plus you get bonuses for, yeah, there you go. So it doesn't do damage, but now that Rikis has given us plus two damage rolls to her, I have given her minus two penalty to all defenses until the end of my next turn. The ally who hits before the end of my next turn regains hit points two plus my Charisma modifier. Wow, okay. Yeah, she's... wow, that's a lot of modifier. Yeah, so she's... Giant Pin Cushion. She's vulnerable now, you guys. Warforged Soldier number three, he's going to expend both of his turns to get across the floor. And get across the floor to Dagon.

Laura's turn, man, you put her in a position. You got her surrounded. She's got tons of... that is not great. Teamwork, yeah! Yeah, that's... I mean, you're doing a good job. Okay, she's going to use Crippling Strike, which is a D20 plus 14 versus Berenath. Don't you fucking dare. Out of 30. Good God. Yeah, so that's totally going to hit versus your Fortitude. And she is going to shift away three squares. She's actually going to shift back here across from Valis. And you... let me see... the target is Weakened and Slowed, save ends both. So Berenath is now Weakened and Slowed.

Weakened means you do half... let me try that sentence again. Weakened means that you do half damage, and Slowed means you can only move two spaces at a time. Save ends... Slowed. Yeah, I heard of it the first two times. Chorexi, your turn. Is it possible to charge Thermac from where I'm at? Yes. Alright, I'm going to charge at him. I'm going to use my Jumping Blade Assault. It says if you use this power as part of a charge, you can target reflex instead of AC. Effect, you knock the target prone, and it's a D20 plus 15. Okay. 31. That'll hit. Yeah. So, okay, you are running and jumping at Thermac.

And I'm guessing you're going here? Yes. Okay. I'm not sure. I don't know how I was supposed to go for the chains, but I couldn't help myself. And it's 2d8 plus 8. 20. Shit. 20 damage and he's knocked prone. So this is his big coming out party, right? And in his first... okay. On his first turn as this abomination, this awful thing, you leap across the room and just sink your blade into him and he falls prone. So that's a big deal. So we'll adjust his conditions, make him prone. One bad thing is because you're ending next to him, you can kind of feel this awful chill in your bones and it's going to give you 5 damage.

Okay. Is it possible? Okay, if they're prone, can you move away from them without incurring an opportunity attack? I think they still get the opportunity attack, but it's negative 2 to whatever they do while they're on the ground. Okay. Yeah. So, Galford, your turn. Okay, I'm going to move 5. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5. And use my daily web of shadows on... actually, I'm going to use it on this square right here. It's an area burst 1 within 10 squares, so that'll hit 4, 5, and 6. And... so this is for 4. 30. That's a crit. That's a crit right there. 18 against reflex. That'll hit.

Okay. And 25. That'll hit too. Very nice. Okay. Alright, so the crit... So you did 18 damage to the first one and then roll for damage for the rest of them? And I also get an extra D10 damage for the crit. Oh, Jesus. Okay, roll it. Okay. 8. That one's dead. Alright. And... hang on, let me do my damage here. 2d6 plus 6. Okay, so damage for 5, 17, and for 6, 15. Oh, no, no, it's only one time. Oh, right, right, right, sorry, sorry. So 17 to both. 17 to both. They are both bloodied. So you're cleaving right through these. They're not... They're also a mobilized tube. Save ends.

Okay. Alrighty. And it's 5's turn now, and he can't do anything. That's right. So he's just going to roll a flat D20 and see if he's saved. And that's a crit 1. No, he did not save. And 6. Same thing. What? Crit... what? Really? They got their dice from Valus. You see, Valus is rubbing off on them. What is happening with my rolls tonight? It's the Web of Shadows. They're just walking in circles, bumping into each other. It's the damn Raven Queen is what it is. Let's see here. 2. War Force Soldier number 2 is... hmm... 2, 3, 4, 5. Right there next to Valus. And he is going to use...

He's going to use a War Force charge attack. So, D20+11, that is a 30 versus Valus. His AC, that's going to hit. And that's going to be 2d8+9. Wow. 22 damage. Valus is down, ladies and gentlemen. Oh my goodness. And it's their next turn. You don't fucking dare hit him. Let's see here. He has to stand up. He does have to stand up. So he's going to do that for his move. He's going to stand up. I'm going to knock his ass right back down again. Don't you hit him. Don't you fucking hit him. And the dragon bites off his head. Let's see. Theramax is going to use Enraveling Chains.

So in this area right here, these bloody chains are going to erupt from the ground. And they're going to try to entangle you guys. So I'm going to go right down the line here. This is a D20+14. Against? Fortitude. So right off the bat, let's go with Rikas. 33, that's going to hit you. Baranath, 18 versus Fortitude? Hell yeah. Okay, Trixie, 27 versus Fortitude. Okay, so all of you are in it. Now you start getting good rolls. 3d6+7, all of you are going to take 17 damage. Ow. 17 for Elfie Cleric and 17 for Trixie. Okay, now you're all bloodied. On top of that, you're all immobilized.

Save ends. So let's see here. You're immobilized. Baranath is currently weakened, slowed, and immobilized. She is a cripple. I'm slowed and immobilized. Yeah, if you could move, you could only move two. For his move action, he's going to move back one. Wait, didn't he get up? Oh, you're right. Yeah, he did. You're right. Good call. Call me on my bullshit, guys. That's good. We all get an XP bump. No. Valus is going to roll a saving throw against Death Itself. 19. Wow, okay. Okay, good, good, good. Dagon, your turn. Oh, Trixie, I forgot. You're going to take five because...

I already did that to you. Okay, you're fine. You're fine. Yeah, don't try to do it again. I was just going to give you extra damage, but no, I remember. Thanks. I'm glad you're thinking of me, Jason. Thank you. I'm generous. Okay, so I'm just going to force punch this guy right beside me. Okay. Totally a plan. That is a d20 plus nine. 16 versus Fortitude. That's going to miss. And because you've used three at-will actions, you have to charge on your next turn. Okay, I'm going to step back one here. Okay. Just in case. All right, Riek, it's your turn. So if I use, because I'm sorry, I continuously forget the difference between burst and blast.

Burst comes out from all sides of you, and a blast is something that you're holding out from your hands. So if I moved just hypothetically, I moved right there, and I said... Maybe I used Flames of Purity, which is a blast three. Could I hit those three? Yes. Cool. I think I might do that. Okay. So I'm going to move over one. We have to do a save because he's immobilized? Yeah, I thought you were immobilized. Oh, you're immobilized. That's right. Oh, gosh. I hate everyone. You can still hit with a blast there, right? Like you could hit everyone? I can still hit everybody from there?

I'm looking at it. It looks like, yeah, to me, yeah. Oh, okay. It goes out like that, you know, for how the... Let's hit the dragon. Oh, yeah. That's what I was afraid of. What's the... You will hit the dragon. Let's not piss him off. Dragon's not an enemy. What's the save I have to do? Is it just a flat d20? It's the end of your turn, yeah. Oh, at the end of my turn? Yep. Okay. Well, shoot. That throws a wench into my plans. A wench? A wench. I'm struggle busting right now. It sounds really selfish. Can I just pop a healing surge really quick? You sure can. Awesome. And then roll a saving throw.

Probably a good idea. I had this whole beautiful plan. Okay, 16. Okay, you are no longer immobilized. Yahoo! So take comfort in that. You are still bloodied. Well, wait a second, actually. What's your surge value? I think it's 12. 12. So yeah. Boom, you're up to 29. You're no longer bloodied. Someone wrote in and asked us why people can use a healing surge as their standard action. Just because. I think it's fair. Like, you trade in an attack to recoup and heal one surge. I think that's fair. I'm tossing... I'm gonna be tossing progressively nastier stuff at you guys.

Like, case in point, this thing. Yeah, thanks, Jackson. Baranith! Hello. A hollow victory is not a victory. You're gonna want to brag about this later. And we will brag about this later. Um, okay. Trixie, how are you doing for health? I am at 15 out of 47. Okay, and how is Valus? Valus is... Dead. Down. He's down. Okay, um... Wait, didn't he hit a saving throw? Yeah, but he's still down. Yeah, he had a successful death saving throw, but he's still down. Okay, um, so I'm going to use my healing word on Valus. Um, so that, uh, means he can spend a healing surge. He can regain one D6 additional hit points.

Okay. Oh, god damn it. Two. That's better than nothing. That is better than nothing, don't you think? There's nothing to scoff at. Um, so that is going to bring him up to 14. Boom. Um... He's still down. As, uh... Ah, shit. Okay, so as my standard action, I'm going to pop a surge. Alright, and you yourself are popping a surge. Boom, you're no longer bloody. Alright, and I have to save against my conditions? Well, you get two saving rolls to throw. Okay. Um, roll the one for immobilized and weakened. I just did. Okay, wait. That, I'm sorry, that was for, uh, slowed and weakened, so that's still there.

Now roll another one for, uh, immobilized. 18. Okay, so you're no longer immobilized? Okay. That's something. You can move. Slowly, but you can move with, like, a little, like a little limp. Alright. And, that's all I got. Uh, Warford Soldier number three is going to use, uh, a charging attack against Dagon 29. Yeah, I think that hits. Uh, 2d8 plus nine. 23, damn. Ooh, that is nasty. So, as strong as Dagon is, like, he's your glass cannon. Like, if someone, he's got armor like paper, apparently, and that, that people could just cut into him. Like a, like a Christmas ham.

It's delicious. So, uh, so that just happened. And Laura's turn. Uh, she's going to use Death Dance again. Uh, she's going to swing down at Valis. Oh, Jesus. 35. And then kind of, uh, kind of pirouette backwards and then swing at Ricus. 24 versus AC. Damn. Yeah, so, okay. Um, that is going to be a 1d8. What debuff does she have on, I forget? Ooh, yeah, what debuff does she have on? Uh, she had negative two to all defenses. Right. And, um, Ricus hit her with... She had... Oh, you guys get a bonus to hit her. So, yeah, yeah. So, it's mainly just, she's very, very hittable right now.

Uh, so Valis is going to take ten damage and he's back down to four hit points. He hasn't even stood up yet. Uh, Ricus is going to take ten. He is down to nineteen hit points. Uh, and bloodied. And Trixie, your turn. Alright, um, I want to use a Healing Surge. Okay, that's going to be your standard action. I know. And Healing Surge, you are no longer bloodied. And I get to roll a d20 for my saving throw? Yep. Wow, that's a crit miss. Hey, guess what? I'm not going anywhere. No, you're... you're going to be stuck. Galford, your turn. Uh, okay, so Galford's going to move five.

Uh, one, two, three, four, five. And... Oh, wait. Hold on one second. Sorry. Ooh. What? Trixie is going to take another five for her turn. Oh, next to... Yeah. Next to bloody... You could have just forgotten that part, Jason. I would have been totally okay with that. Oh, no, I would have reminded him. Thanks! I probably would have. Sorry. Fuck. Um... Can you stop giving him XP bumps for being truthful? I know. And it never seems to help us, too. Um... Okay, so I, uh, I'm going to move right up next to the chains and do a thievery check on them. Okay. So Galford's going to look right at the dragon and just sort of take a deep breath and try and unlock this. 21.

Uh, you... you fumble around with a lock and you feel like you almost... you almost got it correct, but not quite. All right. Uh, and that was a free action, right? Uh, no, a check is, uh, your standard. Oh, shit. Okay. All right, well, I guess I'm done. Yeah. Yeah. Uh, Warforged 5, who is standing right behind you, uh, and immobilized, can do nothing but kind of impotently, kind of, like, swing a scimitar out in the middle of the air. Can't do anything to you. Uh, and he's going to roll a saving throw... two. What the fuck? I gave him my dice. Uh, six is going to do the same thing.

Nine. Yes, Web of Shadows, baby. What the fuck? Okay, two on the other hand is free and clear, uh, and he is going to hover his, uh, red-bladed scimitar over Valus's chest. No, no, no, no, no. And he is going to swing down at him and get a 12 and miss. (laughter) Archmage Theramax turn. Um, let's see here. Never good words to hear from an opposing player. I'm... I'm... So many options, guys. There's so many options. Braneth, I know you love you some Valus, but if he comes down on me, I'm hoping you'll help me. Please? Of course I'm going to help you. Uh, so Theramax is going to ready his next, uh, his next attack, but he's going to start speaking to you, and his voice is noticeably, like, it doesn't sound, like, all cool and collected anymore.

He sounds undead more than anything. Uh... I'm sorry, did you say he just sounds undead? Yes? Alright, let's get to know. Say... (laughter) Da da da da. Uh, he's going to say, I was hoping those warforged would be of more use. Uh... And he is going to use Freezing Claw at Riku's. 27. So that'll hit. Dick. Uh, that's 2d8 plus 10. 16 damage, which will reduce you to three. Uh, and you are... You're immobilized until safe ends. Motherfucker. (laughter) You gotta be shitting me right now. Uh, and that would bring us back to Valus, who... Jesus Christ, he's going to stand up.

Good lord. Okay, you know what? Since he was bloodied, but he was down when it happened, he's going to use Reckless Assault, and he's going to make two separate, uh, two separate at-will attacks. So he's going to attack, uh, the warforged, uh, first. That's gonna miss. And a second time. And that's a crit. Holy shit. Thank you. Finally. (laughter) Was that at Thermak? Uh, that was the warforged standing next to him. The sword. Oh, okay. Yeah. Wait, the first one... Who was the first one at? The warforged. And then the... Oh, so he just hit him twice? Yeah, he just makes two separate attacks.

Oh, okay. That's all that is. Okay. And that's gonna be... 24 damage. And that will kill it. Ah. He's pissed. So the warforged is dead. Um... Dagon, your turn. Oh shit. Fuck. Since Valus ended his turn, right there, he's gonna take five damage. Uh, he's down to five hit points. Dagon, your turn. Okay. Yeah, I only got 11. Did you already charge? No. Oh, you have to charge. God damn it. Fuck, damn it. Oh, gnomes are dicks. (laughter) I had totally forgotten about that, thank you. Ah, okay. So we have a death bump, where like, Thermak just loses half of his hit points? Okay.

I thought I'd give it a shot. No, that's cool. I, I, yeah. It's possible it's caught a dragon. Yeah. Yeah, we just, we have to release it first. Who's got the thievery here? Brian, you have shitty thievery too. And Trixie, you're immobilized, right? I have good thievery, but I ran away the other way. 'Cause I mean, the only way we're getting out of this, I think, is releasing the dragon and running like hell. Like, if, if Thermak is, is... Four dragons, but I've been on this direction twice. Uh, Dagon, did you roll your charge? Oh, I'm sorry, I did not. Yeah, flat T20. 14.

Hey, that's uh, plus 10 damage to your next attack. If it hits. (laughter) If I gamble with that, yeah. (laughter) I'm dying. What's your speed? Can you hit Thermak? Uh, I've got a six. I can get up to him. You have ranged stuff too. With what, though? Well, yeah. But it, yeah, but it'll hit other people too. But he gets the bonus if he charges. (chicken clucking) Was that a really loud zipper? (laughter) Someone's wearing a rubber gimp suit or something? I don't know what that... It's, it's the back bed. (laughter) Oh, my goodness. My chair just rubbed against the wall.

Oh, okay. While I was farting. (laughter) Ah, levity. Levity. Levity during death. (laughter) Uh, now you have a, you have like a focused blast, something like that, I think. I wanna say. I have a couple things. I mean, I've got the Force Hammer. It's got a burst on it. I've got, uh... The ranged, ranged attack. I mean, you have stuff. I'm just saying you have options. Oh, like psionic charge. Yeah, oh, yeah, yeah, oh, yeah. I'm sorry, yeah. Sorry, stupid blonde moment. Sorry. No, no, no, we should have specified. I, I, when talking about psions, like, charges a different thing.

Sorry. Okay, now is it my turn? It is. Yes, Brian, yeah. Yes, go. Okay, um, so I have three hit points. So, if I use Words of Compassion on myself, because it says I can use it on you or one ally in the burst, does that, I just wanna make sure I'm not, like, end up doing something dorkly. Is that taking away a healing surge, or is it just acting like it's taking away? 'Cause it just says the target regains hit points equal to his or her healing surge value. In addition, the target gains plus two power bonus to saving throws until the end of his or her turn.

I just wanna make sure that if I do this, but in reality it's taking away the healing surge, I shouldn't just be going, "I'm gonna use another healing surge." Well, no, no, no, it's saying it's in place, like, it's as if you use one else. It says the target spends a healing surge. Yeah, you're fine, so. Okay, so, I'm gonna use Words of Compassion on myself. Alrighty, Words of Compassion. Give myself 12 more hit points, which will probably go away here soon. Let's see here, Words of Compassion. I'm just gonna target plus two power bonus to saving throws until the end.

Okay, so. That super situational thing that we talked about when I actually got that power. Yep, and you're gonna need that plus two anyway 'cause you're immobilized. So, do you want me to do that saving throw now? Is it the end of your turn? Uh, yeah, that was a daily, and I can't really do much of anything else. Okay, go right ahead then. 12. You are no longer immobilized, sir. Hell yeah. 'Til the next time he immobilizes you. Shut up. Raneth, your turn. Alright, so, I'm moving right here. Shield of Faith, I think that catches everyone. That is a burst two, I believe.

Uh, five. Burst five? Yeah, huh. That'll do it, everyone. Yeah, don't be fucking with my powers. Lana, why would you move adjacent to Theramak if it's the burst five? So that I can A, get Dagon, and B, kick the shit out of Theramak. Um, why is my turn undead checked off? 'Cause you used it on Talon. You used it on Talon. This is a different encounter. This is true, I'll give you that. It's an encounter power. Okay, okay, okay. Um, so we're doing D20 plus nine, plus one 'cause I'm speedy, and plus 20 'cause I'm really mad. Oh, god damn it. That's gonna miss anything.

Yeah, 16, sorry. Free action, I'm just gonna hang my head and cry. Uh, Warforged Soldier number three. Oh, wait, wait, wait. I miss I get half damage. Oh, okay, yeah. Oh, but you're also weakened, so that's a quarter damage. Oh, that's still four. I'm hitting for four. I'm gonna shake my fist and show him four damage. And he goes, "Oh." He reacts thusly. Scimitar attack against Dagon. 23 versus your AC, sir. Yeah, that's a hit. Okay, 1D8 plus six and seven damage. Aw, just hanging on. That'll bring up Laura. What was her, what is she? Negative two to all def-- Oh, that's all gone now, yeah, she's clear.

She's in the clear now. You know what, Dance of Death again. That's worked out so well in the past. She's gonna target Rika's first and kind of use her dual blades here. 25 versus your AC, and then she is going to kind of cartwheel flip back and swing it for a run at 18 versus your AC. (laughs) Misses. Okay, that's the first time she's missed with that round. And that'll be a 1D8 plus four, four, 10. 10 to Rika's. (sighs) Rika's is down to five hit points, everyone at home. Trixie, have at it. Okay. Oh, shit, sorry, Brannith, you're taking a negative five for ending right next to there.

Oh, I didn't throw my save. Oh, go ahead. 10. You are still slowed and weakened. What? 11 and up, 11 and up. Sorry, go ahead, Trixie. Can I pop another healing surge? In place of a standard action, yes. Okay. But if you stay there, you're also going to take a negative five. Yeah, but if I don't pop a healing surge, I'm still going to take a negative five. True, very true. Okay. All right, and then I'll roll for my saves. Oh, Jesus Christ, I'm not going to heal. So you're still mobilized. Okay, so you pop-- This game is stupid. Let me see how many healing surges you have left, because you can't have many.

You have two. I have two total or two for the left? Two left. Galford, your turn. Okay, so Galford's going to try rattling with the chain one more time and do a thievery check. 25 crit. Fumbling with the lock. I'm staring right at the dragon's face the whole time I'm doing this. He's-- So picture this dragon tied, aggressively chained down, not just restrained, but compressed into the ground. It's chained down so hard. And the head's just kind of like-- Picture the head is just kind of like a snake, just kind of coiled right next to Theramek here. And head's chained down and everything, neck bleeding, all fucked up.

That will pop the lock open, which will start to put slack in the chains. What I'm going to do is add the dragon to the initiative all the way at the end. I still have a move action, correct? You sure do. Okay. You know what, actually I've got line of sight to Laura now because she moved. Actually I don't really need to do it, so I'm just going to pop my action point and use Shadow Claws on Laura. 22 against fortitude. 22 against fortitude will miss. What? Isn't she Alana's-- That was a couple of turns ago. Oh, okay. It didn't give her a negative RN. It did for a while.

Damn. I was trying to think of the ruin of the final act too, but that was just power bonus to damage rolls. Yeah, so that's going to miss, but okay. I still have a move action because I didn't move, right? Right. I'm just going to get the fuck out of dodge. One, two, three, four. So Galford sees the dragon is moving and backs away relatively cowardly, but still within range of Laura. War fortune number five. The comedic act of war fortune number five, war fortune number six. They can do nothing but watch Galford stroll up to this lock, unlock it, and then stroll back while they just impotently go, "Ugh." They can't do anything.

The two Stooges. I got to thank Marlin. I'm earning my binder badge today. Number five is still bound. Number six-- I'm sorry, mobilized. Number six is not, but it's not their turn. Anyway, Archmage Thermak. He's going to use-- hmm. He's going to use-- hmm. Hmmm. Which is 100d10. What he's going to do is he's going to use another blast of freezing claws, this time at Trixie. And that would be 33. So I would say that would hit. 2d8 plus 10, 19 damage, which will take Trixie that will bloody Trixie and put her back down to 13 health. White Dragon's turn. So the chain's starting to slack up a bit, and the dragon's starting to shift around and start to feel where it can move again.

And you can see where it's just-- it's struggling to kind of stand up and get its footing, but it's still prone. It's still laying down. So... Valus's turn. Damn. Um, fuck. Valus is down to five hit points. That's nothing. Valus and I are brothers in arms. Does Valus have any healing surges, or does he not get any? Yeah, he has healing surges, but that means he can't attack, and that's not really what Valus is about. Does Valus have an action point? Yes. So he probably is going to-- yeah, so popping a healing surge. See there, I finally said something that helped the group.

Yes. He's still bloodied up to 17 hit points, and he is going to use his Greatsword. I can get a 13. He rolled a two. What the fuck? He's going to shift back one. Bitch again. Totally not his MO, but man, he is-- I don't know. Dagon, your turn. We didn't get back our action points, did we, from last round with Doug? Yeah. We did? Yeah, because you leveled up. Mine's not showing. So, well, that's good. So I'm going to pop a surge. I got two left. There you go. You're up to 13 hit points. Okay, then I'll use my action point. Okay. And now do I still have the benefit of my charge?

Yeah, yeah, you haven't done anything yet, so if you hit with an attack, it's plus 10 damage. Okay, I'm going to move five. Okay, you're going to get an opportunity attack against you from the Warforged. Oh, right. Yeah, yes. Do you still want to do that? No. I totally forgot about that and/or didn't know. Okay, force punch on the Warforged. B20 plus 9. 23. Tell me to hit. 23 will hit. Finally. Okay, so do I need to add the extra 10 in here? Yep, whatever the plus is, add 10 to that. Okay, so 2d8 plus 20. Because... 2d8 plus 20. 32. Your fist collides with this thing's chest, and it's almost one of those -- you remember the old crash test dummy toys where the arms and legs and head would spread?

That's basically what happens. You hit it and just kaboing all of it all over. Goodbye. That's gratifying. And you can move if you like. Nope, I'm going to stay where I am. I'm done. All right, Rickus, your turn. Okay, so I'm going to pop a healing surge. Okay. I need it. At this point, if I take a hit after not popping a healing surge, I'm going to die. And then I'm going to use my action point and target Laura with a nice, pretty move I like to call Executioner's Call. And that's a d20 plus 11 plus 1, because I'm speedy and, God, I hope I crit. Almost. 31 against her AC.

That is... That'll hit, obviously, yes. Okay, and then it's 1d10 plus 8. But since she was still feeling the effects of Ruin of the Final Act, you and your allies gain a plus 2 bonus to damage rolls against the target. And then whenever you or any of your allies hit the target, the bonus increases by 1. So does that technically mean I get a plus 3 bonus to the damage roll or just a plus 2? Plus 2. Plus 2, because it just said if you hit the target, you get a plus 1. Well, if you hit the target, okay, then plus 3. Okay, so that would be... Because you did hit her.

Yeah. 16. 16 damage, bam. Guess what? She's bloody. She is bloodied. Yay, stupid bitch. [laughter] Berenith. Okay, I am attacking Thermac. I'm going to use Sunburst. Sunburst is a d20, plus 12, plus 1 because I'm speedy. And 28. Uh, 28 to hit. All right. That's AC? Yeah, that'll hit. Yeah. Um... And damage is d8 plus 6. 11. 11 damage. What goes along with that? Now, uh, and everyone gets 5 temporary hit points. Uh, within 5 squares, and I think everyone is within 5 squares of me. Oh, except Galford, sorry. I'm good. Um... God bless you. Uh, in addition, uh, you can all make a saving throw.

What? You get a saving throw, and you get a saving throw. Okay, that's a dated reference. That's fine. No, it's okay. It's okay. I got it. No, that's fair. I got it. Make a saving throw there, Trixie. I always figured that Oprah was a D&D monster. Oprah of Winfrey. Finally! Yes! Okay, you are no longer immobilized, Trixie. I'm gonna run away. And you got... Uh, it is Laura's turn. If that bitch hits me, I'm gonna be so mad. Yeah, she's been after me. Did you note my save there? My saving throw? Uh... Yes. What was your... Oh, that's right! The weakened and slowed. Yes, you're right.

Sorry. So sorry. That's okay. You are no longer weakened and/or slowed. Okay. Wait, since you were weakened, that only did half damage. Mother jumper! So that means that... And we take five health from you because you ended next to him. Okay, but you didn't give me my five temporary hit points. Uh... Was that you and everybody, or just you? You and each ally within five squares gain five temporary hit points. And make a saving throw. Bam, there you go. You got... So everything's even. It's a lot to keep track of, I'm sorry. That's okay. Remember, I'm a fraud. I... I think Dagon fell within that too.

Let me see. One, two, three, four, five. Yeah, I'm five. Yeah, you did. Wow, shit. I thought he was too far away. Laura's turn. Because you bloodied her, she's gonna use Dance of Death again. And that is going to be... 16 against Rika's first. Uh, 33. God damn it. This woman. This is your arch nemesis, Brian. Uh, and she's gonna kind of, uh... She is going to cartwheel forward here. Uh, and then make a swing against Baranath. Uh, 32. Bam. Uh, so let's see here. Damage from that. Uh, five damage to each of you. So there go those 10 hit points. That'll... That'll end her turn, actually.

Trixie, go ahead. Okay, um... I wanted to use Termination Threat on Tharmak. She's supposed to be wearing a light blade. Um, if the target... Okay, can I just use my Jumping Blade Assault instead? Well, you're standing next to him, so I don't think you can. Jumping Blade Assault. Let me see here. It says if you use this as... This power as part of a charge, you can target reflex instead of AC. But I'll just try to... I'll just go against his AC. Yeah, so go right ahead, yeah. Uh, that's gonna move. I accept this. Can I... You can shift? Yeah, I was gonna say, can I shift back more?

Uh, you sure can. Okay. All right. Galford, your turn. Uh, okay, well, I'm going to use my new daily, which is... Walk Through Darkness. Uh, a move action personal. You can shift up to 10 squares. You are phasing and insubstantial during this shift. So this is actually just my move action. One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten. Uh, and I can phase right through everybody. There's no opportunity attacks. So that's used up. And then I'm gonna... As my standard action, it's gonna be my daily shard of darkness. Uh... Sorry, I heard that. Shart of darkness?

Tell him what you do. I had a lot of blueberries this morning on my cereal. Turn around. It's got a pretty good range, too, so... Okay, that's canon now. It's the shard of darkness. I don't even want to picture that. It's coming out of this tiny gnome. Okay, shard of darkness. It is standard action, range 10, one creature charisma versus fortitude. And I'm gonna target Thermac. Alrighty. And if it misses, it's not expended. I can use it again. 16. Okay, well then that's... You can use that again. [laughter] Okay, warforged number five. Can't do anything. Gonna roll a d20 saving throw.

He's still fucking him up. Piece of shit. And warforged soldier number six can move, and it's going to make a charge at Trixie. No. I... No. My hands are tied. No they're not. This is the first thing it's been allowed to do. You should be proud of it. Happy for it. 17 to ace it? No. No, alright. Falls over on his face because he's stupid. He's dejected and sad. [laughter] Archmage Thermac. I'm done fucking around. This is silly. Honestly, really, really silly. He's gonna use Bloodstorm. This is a burst two. Burst two all enemies in the burst. So what's gonna happen is he's going to kind of like jut his hands up in the air, and this dark cloud is gonna kind of form in a burst two.

And this acidic blood is gonna start raining down on you guys and burn you. So it's like acid. Valus first, 29. Then Baraneth, 20 versus... Versus... AC. Uh, no. Okay. Trixie, 30. Yeah. And that would be 14 is gonna miss. So two of you are getting hit here. 12 damage. I have one hit point left. [laughter] Trixie spinning around in circles, humming to herself before she hits me for her. No, no, you hit the five temps, so you're down to six. No, uh, really? Yeah, you had five temps hit points. Including my five hit points. No. I just took it away. Did the math. Uh, Thermac's also gonna say, "Did you really think that you could stand against my true power?" Uh, the white dragon behind him, uh, is, is, is, start...

It's starting to flex its wings a bit and, and starting to... It's, it's kinda getting a sense of, like, it, it can actually move. Uh, and the chains are, are starting to just kind of, like, ball up slack next to it. Oh, come on, honey. Uh, Valus's turn. Ah. [groans] Uh, you know what? Charging Greatblade. He's gonna run straight at Thermac. [mumbling] He's gonna miss. Uh, so there. Dagon, your turn. Oh, and he's gonna take five damage. Okay, I'm gonna move, uh... Feel free to hit the shit out of Laura. I was gonna go for Thermac. Good going for Laura if you want, but...

It's up to you. Go with what your heart feels. It's gonna be a big one, so I thought I'd use it on Thermac. Provided I hit. Uh, I'm gonna use Mental Trauma. I think I have that. Still checked off, but that was from last with Doug. But we got those back, right? Yes, yeah, yeah, yeah. You're good. Okay, so that is, uh, Action Range 20. Uh, one creature versus Will. D20 plus nine. Oh my god. 13. 13's gonna miss. Uh, but you do half damage. That's true. Which should be decent. 5d10 plus 10, it should be, yeah. And the Vulnerable Five Psychic might help, because it has an effect too.

Oh, it does, yeah. So he does take an extra five Psychic damage whenever someone hits him. Uh, 36, so that is what? 18. 18, thank you. I is bad at math. Uh, 18 damage. So that kind of rocks him a bit, like he kind of puts his forearm up to catch the brunt of that. But yeah, you caught him pretty good. Rikas, your turn. Okay, so I just have a question. I can use, because at this point I'm taking every opportunity to heal myself up. Can I use my second wind, assuming, like, this all plans out? I'm gonna use melee basic attack, I'm gonna take a swing at Laura.

This hits, can I use my second wind? Don't we have second wind? Yes, but that's a standard action. Never mind. I quit life. [Laughter] That's a crit miss. I'm done, I'm done, it was nice playing with you guys. This is a lot of fun. Rikas, don't give up, you have to kill Laura. Stupid bitch. That bitch, that, you guys are, like, Laura I picture... That's the equivalent of the House Dark Spain mage in Valis. I picture it more like, if you're watching a movie like The Expendables, the, like, she would be like the Stone Cold Steve Austin. Like, the assistant to the bad guy that's actually tougher than the bad guy in certain circumstances.

Like, she whips, it's like she does all this jetly Kung Fu Ninja Flip stuff and, you know, yeah. You know what she is? She is the girl from Live Free Die Hard that Bruce Willis sends down the elevator shaft. Yes, thank you, exactly, that kind of, yes. Baranith, your turn. Okay. On Thermac, I'm gonna use Turn Undead. Turn Undead is a d20 plus 9 plus 1, 'cause I'm speedy. Oh, please. 19. Versus what? Versus, versus, ah, ah, ah. Wisdom versus Will. Ah, that one, not his Will. Mother! Ah! Oh, oh, oh, oh, Elven Accuracy. Can I use that? Ah, Elven Accuracy, you can, but that's not gonna help you.

Why is it not gonna help me? Ah, because that's, it's still not gonna hit. Like, it's still, that would add plus 2 to the attack, it's kind of like, ah, ah, like humans get, ah, how humans get. No, no, I reroll the attack roll. Do you? Yeah. Oh, I'm thinking of the other, I'm sorry, I'm not thinking, I'm thinking of, ah. That was okay, it didn't help anyway. The other feet you were offered. Ah, that's a crit miss, that's less, so. Alright. Ah, Tyson, it's not in there yet, I gotta add it, I'm sorry. Yeah, no worries. Um, okay, alright. I, I, I guess I'm done.

Sorry, Trixie, um, what are you doing on your next turn, 'cause you need to heal, don't you? Yeah. Um, okay, let's do Healing Word for Trixie. Ah, so roll a d6. Alright. 5. So 5 plus a Healing Surge, bam. Oh! Um, I'm, I'm, okay, I'm sorry, I leveled up, we're level 6 now, right? Mm-hmm. I get 2d6. You sure do, go ahead, roll another d6. 4. Plus 4, come on table, you don't want me to just do 4? Hey, how about that? Alright. You wanna end your turn there? I'm done, I, there's nothing else I can do. Okay, you're gonna get another negative 5 for ending your turn next to him.

Ah, I didn't move, can I move? I asked you if you were done. Ah, dammit. Uh, Laura's turn, uh, Laura's gonna do some more dancing. Uh, Dance of Death, uh, first rikus, 35. Jesus fucking Christ. You stupid whore, I hope she dies, I hope I smash her fucking brains then. Uh, and then, say Yippee-ki-yay motherfucker when you kill her. Uh, she's going to cartwheel, uh, she's gonna cartwheel back over here, and then, uh, she's gonna make the same attack against Trixie, 23 against, uh, AC. So that'll hit. Just barely. I don't think she's missed that once. I think she missed one.

No, that does not hit Trixie. Is it what? That's a huge, oh! Shields of Faints. You guys, yep, plus 2, she has a plus 2 to her AC, so that does miss you. Yay! So she's missed twice. Uh, Trixie, your turn. Alright, I'm gonna use Disheartening Strike on her. So it's a d20 plus 15, plus 1 because I'm speedy. Plus 2 because you are flanking. 27. Oh, that'll hit. And then there's plus 2 on damage rolls, because of Ruin of the Final Act. Okay, so that would be a d8, so plus 8, so plus 2, so d8 plus 10, 14. 14 damage! Excellent, excellent hit. Uh, so, yeah, that's gonna take her down to one knee.

Like, she's, like, she's staggered now. Like, you struck her in the back with one of your daggers, and she's just like, "Oh, shit!" And she's, you totally stumble-bunked her there. Galford, your turn. Okay, so I'm gonna tee up my daily shart of darkness again on Theramak. That is a 23 against Fortitude. That'll hit. Beautiful. So Galford's gonna say, you know, "Theramak, I'm underwhelmed. I would have surpassed you in no time." 3d10 plus 6. 19 damage, and he's slowed. Okay. Not that I doubt he'll ever move. Uh, he's bloodied. Fuck yeah. Yes. So, and he's slowed.

Let me adjust his conditions here. Okay, that's cool. We can, okay. Warford Soldier number 5. He can do nothing but stand there. Saving throw 11. Holy shit, he's not, he's not, okay, excellent. Warford Soldier number 8, no, 6, sorry, is going to, uh, he's gonna use his scimitar attack against Trixie. 19 against, that's gonna miss. Let's just cut to the part where it is. 19 against, that's gonna miss. Okay, Theramak. Theramak's turn. He is going to whip around and use freezing claw at Galford. Let's see here, 20 plus 14. 33? Against anything? Against add up all my values instead?

Divided by 2. I mean, I was being a bitch, so I knew I was gonna eat something. Eat shart. Yeah, he's still covered with shart, so. Um, so yeah, he's gonna hit you for 15 damage and say, "Ignorant little fool, I'm going to mount your head in my trophy room." I can't wait to shut him up for good. White dragon's turn. Come on, honey. So, the dragon kind of squares its feet underneath of itself and then just kind of does this wild push up off the floor and spreads its wings wide. So this thing is up and fucking pissed. This could go terribly wrong, though. Shhhhh.

You don't know that. It kind of does this dog shake off thing and just kind of like, it's massive by the way, it's bigger than it was when you left it. And it just kind of does this massive like wing spread flexing thing and shakes all the chains off of it. And it's going to make an attack versus Thermac. 36 to his AC. Yes. Come on. 7d10 plus 10. Holy shit. Wow. 50 damage to Thermac. Yes. So the dragon's gone. This dragon is my hero. This dragon's going to, with it, Bloody Neck and All is going to just swoop down and take one single bite towards his abdomen.

And it's actually going to chomp him in half. So Thermac is in two pieces. The dragon just kind of like, the bottom half of him would be in this dragon's mouth and it's just going to kind of like shake its head and violently toss the other end of it across the room. So his torso up is lying right in front of Valus. Fucking waist down to feet is like whipped across like 40, 50 feet across the room. And Thermac's body is going to slowly turn to ash and just kind of both both ends of it are just just kind of disintegrated in front of you. You guys. Does that mean dead?

Disintegrated is dead, right? Does that mean dead? He is not but ash. I love how we're still concerned. We're like, that's dead, right? His body is not there, but he's dead. You remember all the times you were screwed over before, right? Papa Massey, can you not hurt us anymore? So Valus was just standing in front of, so now Valus was just standing, it like just, so. Valus just sharted. Dragon flex, dragon flex bite half of Thermac disintegrates into ash. So he's just going to stand there with a sword like, all right, and then just kind of looks up at the dragon like if he those kids.

And he you could see him kind of considerate. Like, should I just should I just charge the dragon? Instead, he's going to shift down one square and he is going to use his great sword against Laura. Eighteen. That is going to miss. Dagon, your turn. I can just get a little closer. I'm just going to move. And that's all I can really do. Actually, you can't do that. You got to charge. Oh, yeah. I need to go. So where were you up here? Yeah, I think it was up one. Here you go. OK, so just go ahead. OK, twenty five. So you're going to get a plus five next. OK. Riek is your turn.

OK. Wow. The possibilities. I don't know if I should just pop a healing surge and let someone else take a swing at her. But God, I just want to kill her. Yeah, you are flanking. You got flanking. Yeah, that's true. I'm going to do melee basic attack, which is a D 20. Make sure I actually have D 20 pulled up. D 20 plus 11. And that will miss. OK. Brandon, it's your turn. Move action. Move away, honey. Oh, yeah. You can do that. Oh, yeah. Can I back it up? There we go. And Brandon, it's your turn. OK, so I'm going to use my singing strike. Singing strike is D 20 plus 11.

Sorry, plus 12 now. Plus one because I'm a sweetie. Plus you've got to sing. No, I don't because it's 30. All right, fine. 30. Whatever. I don't want to kill anymore. Bonus on damage rolls because it's ruin of the final act. Yep. So that's a one D eight plus eight plus six. No, plus eight because of the burden of the final. Plus. Oh, no. Technically, it's plus three because she's. No, you. You told me you gave me plus three. Yes. That's. Hold on a second. I want to make absolutely sure that. Go ahead. It's something like it goes up by one every time she gets hit. Isn't it something that is it?

Yeah. That's not the way I remember the final act. Sorry. Whenever you or any of your allies hit the target, the bonus increases by. Oh, shit. You are correct. So it should be plus four plus five because you know, it'd be about plus. Just go with plus like 20 and we'll go with plus four. Let's play it safe. Let's play plus four. OK. The eight plus 10. Oh, so it should only be plus 10. Sorry, I overdid that. So I actually only wrote 12. All right. So that that just smacked the crap out of her. So she's she's still lying down. She's she's. Yeah, she's not prone, but like she's down to one name and like she's she's trying to get her bearings.

Hmm. OK. Laura's going to spring to her feet, seeing that that there, Max gone. Oh, you moved. Yeah. OK. You didn't ask me if I finished. No, I'm sorry. You're right. I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. She is going to shift forward one and use desperate strike against. OK, that is a 20 versus AC. It's going to miss. OK, Trixie, your turn. All right. I'm going to use my disheartening strike again. D20 plus 15. 35. Oh, crit. Oh, shit. Crit. That's a 1d8 plus eight plus how much? Four. No, five. Because we hit her the last time. Twenty one. That'll kill her. She's dead. Yeah. Nice. Very nice, Trixie.

Very nice. Can we just like fall over in pain now? No, we're not done, honey. Still too warforged. Can I use an action point and do it again on number six? Sure. Sure can. God, I love this character. 22. 22 will hit. Ten. That'll kill the warforged. Yay. I'll pop my next action point and go over to number five. My next action point. Galford, your turn. OK. Well, there's not a whole lot I can do here. Actually, as a free action, can I walk over to the pile of theramax ashes and scoop up some and put it in my pocket? Sure. All right. I want some of... Do I just love souvenirs?

Well, I figure they may come in handy down the road. They seem to be pretty powerful and dark. So I'll scoop up some of theramax ashes. But would this be considered line of sight with all the way down to number five? Yes. It would? OK. Then I will scoop up the ashes as a free action and get all shadow claws on number five. Twenty three against Will. That'll totally hit. OK, cool. Eight damage. Eight damage. How much? That'll kill it. Beautiful. Notable kill. Notable kill. Warforged, soldier, random douche. Now, Lore, on the other hand, is definitely a notable kill, so that's going to go on Trixie's...

Yeah, it is. Congratulations. Thank you. You guys... Have a dragon. Well, so this dragon's kind of hovering, I would say looming over all of you, and Berenith would be the next closest to it. And it's just going to kind of spread its wings again and just just let out this tremendous roar. This damn near deafening roar. And I think that's a good time for us to stop for the evening because it's twelve thirty. Yeah, I freed him. I got a dragon. I'd like to see you fight Berenith for that one. Yeah. I would like to not have anyone fight each other. You get the head seat at the table in the potato room.

I got a new pet. But who was the dragon really after last time? Like, it was Tala that took the idol, right? Can we go past her body and just start holding it up to the dragon? I'm just saying he might not harbor a grudge against the rest. She's dead. She's dead. Don't kill us. That was a team effort. That was definitely... I think Rika's hammered it a couple of times or tried to, anyway. I know he got clawed in the torso a bit, like, because his guts were hanging out. Well, we can stop real quick or you can explore the room. If you guys got time, you could explore the room for just a moment.

This is an awesome cliffhanger we should do. Yeah, I figured. Okay. I'm picturing, like, Galford riding on the back of it, like the fucking Witch King from Lord of the Rings. All like, "Raaah!" Yeah, you guys did fantastic. I thought he was going to kill one of you. I thought he was too. I think we all thought we were going to die. No joke. I was doing healing surges every time because I was like, "I'm not about to die. Not about that life." I was pretty worried at the start there. The odds looked against us, but that was good. Because Valus was like, "I'm coming in." Why do you guys listen to me?

I'm so stupid. Why did you follow me in here? We didn't follow you in. Valus ran in first. It wasn't your fault this time. No, I know, but he did it because I wanted to do it. Valus was completely impotent in that fight. Just... Talus opened the door and then just politely stood in the corner and was like, "You guys got this." Dude, Valus ran in, pulled down his pants, and asked for a bare-bottom spanking. Like, just... What it is is the ghost of... I've been a naughty tiefling and just like, just like, whap-whap the entire time. Did nothing. The ghost of Talus is just bitter.

Talus' ghost is hovering over Valus just like, "I totally would have hit there." Like, you know, just fucking taunting him. Like the Great Gazoo. You missed dum-dum. Nice swing, dum-dum. I'm glad that Theramax got one ballsy hit on Galford after him being a prick. He just blew me out of my shoes there right before he got bitten in half by the dragon. Not for that dragon. That would have been a much closer fight, I think. Oh, gosh. And as much as you guys hate me, who freed the dragon? If not for the dragon, I'm pretty sure someone would have probably died.

Galford didn't even want to go in there. Yeah, Galford, you informed us you were not going to be helping us the first round. I know, I was trying to talk some reason into the group that I had observed Theramax, and I didn't think we could beat him. So, I'll be eating some humble pie for sure that we actually did. Yeah. Or I'll be trying to take more credit than I'm due. Yeah, no one's listening to Galford anymore. As per usual. We had a really good interaction there, Galford. That's kind of what we're going for, I guess. It works really well. I always enjoy interacting with Rikas, so it's lots of fun.

I needed that. I've been hoping that Rikas could get back on the, "No, really, he's not this insane guy that just believes anybody, that tells him anything, ever." Well, and I think also there's going to be listeners out there that there's going to be times where Galford's being a prick, but that people may see the points he was trying to make, even if it's selfish and dickish. That's what I was trying to do with Rikas, was I was just like, "You know what? He kind of understands where Galford's coming from, and he's Switzerland. He understands where both parties are coming from, and he's trying to stay neutral, but he's going to be like, "You know what?

They're kind of making a little bit more sense right now." And I mean, Galford's sort of looking at it like, he's an opportunist, and this isn't the first group of adventurers he's been with. Maybe we're destined for bigger things, which is why he's so entrenched with the group, but opportunist comes with trying to find the best solution, even if it is selfish, cold. He's trying to play the long game, and that really looks like he doesn't value life. And also, I guess, notable kill for Talah. God, I wanted to kill Laura. I'm happy somebody did, but god, I wanted to just smash her brains in.

She was worse than Thermac. Yeah. Thermac just stood right in front of that damn dragon. The Twi'lek Vitamix breakdancing she was doing was just like, "Fuck you guys, man." [Laughter] She managed to hit like 30s on me every damn time. She just kept dancing around you, stab, stab, cut, stab, stab, cut. That was terrible. Like, she racked a fucking good amount of damage on you, even though it was like 1d8+. I loved Web of Shadows pinning the Warforged. They were just fucking stuck there against the wall. God, those Warforged were useless. That was like the rejects for the cast of a Three Stooges movie that were just like tripping over themselves, being like, "Ahh, bling!" I knew Laura and Thermac were going to be the main attraction.

I was hoping the Warforged would be, at the very least, a distraction, but not even that. It was just like, "Get away, get out of here." Like swatting at flies. And you know when Justin hears this, he's going to be like, "You killed my people!" Can we pick up one of their heads and just carry it with us? Sure? I just feel like if we ever came into a situation, like, especially if we... This is just me thinking in the future, if we ever end up talking to the other houses and they get kind of pissed at us, we could just put the Warforged head right on the table and just be like, "There you go." I think Laura's head would probably be more effective.

One of her braids. Oh yeah. Is anyone wondering what a Fire Mage is doing with Warforged? He was a Blood Mage. Sorry, yeah, Blood Mage, sorry. What's he doing with Warforged? Now there's a good place to stop. And we're all well aware of the war that's going on, right? Yeah, you know of it. It's no secret. But you're as far east as you can get. It's not one of your day-to-day worries. It's totally not. This might sound like a completely stupid question, but is anybody in our party at all directly affected? Because I feel like the Warforged should at least cause someone to be like, "Oh, so they're here!" I feel like somebody's going to want to freak out about it.

Well, they're destroying the home of the elves. We don't necessarily know that unless we glean that off of information we gather in Brightwater. Oh no, that's been going on for years. That's been going on for a while? Okay. Yeah, I mean the recent crazy destruction, thanks to Group One, kind of, in a weird way, that's new. But I mean they've been clear-cutting the forest for years. And one thing we could discuss potentially is if any of us noticed that these particular Warforged seem to be non-sentient ones, which would point in the direction of... Well, the fact that they were powered down and just kind of standing there waiting to be used is kind of a dead giveaway.

Yeah, like if they were playing cards in the soldier's quarters, that would be one thing. But yeah, these guys weren't sentient. Hey, did anybody loot Laura's body? No one's looted anything. We could totally do that in the next... I have a list of things, a list of very cool things actually. But I'll just set that aside until next time. That's fine. Fun fact, if you guys hadn't went to check on Tala when you did, I was just going to have her loose in the building. Just shuffling around one time, you go around a corner and it's like, "Okay, make an acrobatics check because you're going to want to try and jump out of the way of that." Oh my gosh.

I got to use my turn on dead against my friend. Yeah, I wonder if Megan's going to listen to this. No, probably not. No, but I really badly want to tell her. We killed your zombie self, but it wasn't me, I'm sorry. Well, that was my second weird mercy killing where I drowned the guy in the sewers and now I kind of executed zombie Tala against the wall with Shadow Claws. You also killed Katie. I also killed Katie too. It's going to sound really, really weird, but just because she was a playable character, would Tala technically be a notable kill or is that not a notable kill?

I would count it as a notable kill not because of the difficulty of the fight you just had, but the fact that she is, or was, a PC. It'll certainly come up in conversation. Yeah, but then do you count Zombie Tholoman as well? I don't really count that as a notable kill. I don't know. You can make the argument that because he had already been dead, that doesn't count. Yeah, he was reanimated. Tala was like, she was infected slowly, it took time, there was... I was just going by the fact that she had been with us since the beginning. Yeah, I would count that as a notable kill.

I don't think I have a notable kill. Theramak is a notable kill, but you didn't kill him, so... The White Dragon, when he gets his own profile on the website. Did anyone check, well actually Theramak turned to dust. I was kind of worried his torso would keep attacking us. I don't need that too, that's why I'm like really dead. Casting spells like a Geodude or something. Well, Tyson, you got work in the morning, right? Yes I do, but I had a great time. No, thank you very much guys, I appreciate you sitting down and doing a session. Yep, it was a blast. It's already one, so I don't know when I'm going to get this edited, but I'll do it as soon as possible, I swear.

And we'll get it up there and let people listen to it. Cool, next weekend is the Comic Con, so we'll be relatively busy with that. And then the weekend after we work, and then it's back to the regular schedule after that. You could still do Sunday Night after Con. Potentially. Don't kill yourselves over it, like... I still don't know when Group 1 is going to sit down, maybe. I don't know, I think Dan works this next weekend? I think? Are you guys available Sunday Night? I have no idea as of right now, because my schedule is somewhere else. Well, we'll keep it...

I will let you know as soon as I find out. Yeah, we'll keep it on the basement page, see what's going on. And just for the record, New Trixie is badass. Nope is! Hello! No more stabby-stabby. Well, no more troopy-stealthy. Troopy-stealthy. So, okay, you guys get some sleep, I'll talk to you guys later. Thanks again for sitting down. Thank you everybody! Thank you guys! Talk to you soon!
