The bottom line is, you were sent into some drought caverns and you were supposed to plug up the hole that these foul beasts are coming in from. And you did that, so congratulations to you guys. Now, I'm presuming you're heading back to the city.

- Yes. - Okay. Is there anything you'd like to do before you go speak with Sergeant Fletcher again? - Can't think of anything. - Can you stop and check in with Fi's mom? - It's not necessary. - I would role play as Fi's mom all day. You guys have been on two missions now with no rest. And that's kind of rare. I mean, especially for something as specialized as this. You guys are obviously being tested.

You're being put to your paces. Fletcher probably doesn't like you all that much. Even though it's not personal, it's just, you know. Now you are returning covered in bruises from the bug fights and your first excursion and your, this time, coated in a thick layer of dust and debris. You just don't look great, I'll be honest. So walking back into Fletcher's office, he kind of looks up from his paperwork and see. This is coming on evening now. Like you've pretty much been out all day doing things. And he's going to just kind of look up from his paperwork and Marcus, give me a perception roll.

- Okay. - 19. - Okay. There's a look on his face when he sees you guys. Like, first of all, it takes him a second to recognize you because again, you were completely coated in just debris, just crap. And then after he sees you walk back in, there's a look that kind of comes over his face, like, Jesus Christ, really? So, who, I imagine it's Gavin who's going to be approaching him. - Mm-hmm, yes. - So you're back. What did you find out? - We found out there was a small detachment of drow in the area, the intel was good. We found the most structurally weakest point and detonated the explosives.

You should not experience any further issues with that particular opening. And Gavin looks a little bit distraught, but does try to keep, you know, just fully as best he can. - You do realize that we'll be sending another detachment into that area. If they're assaulted by drow, then we'll know you're lying. - Marcus, show them the sword. - Here you go. I brought this with me from the patrol we took out. I recommend you get rest. There are instructions in the letter and you're to be given a wagon for tomorrow. Let someone know at the front gate and they'll set you up. - Gavin. - Sure, I'll do that. This letter was to be delivered upon your safe return after taking care of our little drow problem. While it was not my idea to send you to such a dangerous location without some kind of backup, it did prove to be an interesting test. Since you're reading this, it means that you're most certainly either quick thinkers or excellent fighters, perhaps a bit of both. In any event, you are being sent to the small town of Durinhollow. It lies northeast of the city, and from what I hear, it will stand out. Ellis Arroway, the captain of the guard, has been placed in quite the situation and wishes to place the city under our protection.

While the town is nothing we need in terms of natural resources, it would allow us to gain a foothold in a heavily contested northern area. Your job is simple, investigate the town and get rid of any resistance that might give us trouble. Once the town is secure, we'll send soldiers to garrison the area and lock it down. These orders come straight from Commander Grace himself, so failure is not an option. I would normally send a battalion to deal with something like this, but I thought I could use a gentle touch that perhaps an entire squad of men couldn't give me.

By the time you finish, I should be back in the city and you can report directly to me. If you're successful and make it safely back, then I would allow you the pleasure of telling Sergeant Baker. It's been cleaned up since, though. It's seen renovations, and it's been expanded upon. So this is mostly a military hangout. Town guards also hang out here. So it's not uncommon to see very few regular civilians ever enter. So if there's anything you guys wanna discuss, just go right ahead. Otherwise, it's pretty much a standard night of drinking and hanging out. - I wanna ask Jadzia about her father and how come she never mentioned that Commander Grace is related to her.

- Jadzia's gonna kinda take a swig of whatever she has and say, "I didn't really know him growing up. "I only met him maybe five years ago, "as my father. Everyone's kind of unwinding from a long day of doing, you know, whatever they've been doing. I mean, you guys have definitely deserved some kind of unwinding. There's this younger looking guy who wanders up and kind of pats Una on the shoulder.

Do you wanna introduce me to your friends? - Right, so Una's a little tipsy at this point. This is Jadzia, Gavin's the nerd in the corner with the book. Marcus is this guy, and he is lurking somewhere. This is Po, he's my best friend from way back. - He kind of nods his head at everyone. - What are you up to? - Nothing, actually. You had me digging ditches today. Exciting army life.

What do they got you doing? Last I heard you were being pulled aside for something special. What did they end up getting you to do? - Blow shit up. - Are you kidding? I'm digging in dirt and you're blowing shit. Anything else you guys wanna do in the bar or do you wanna kind of cut to the next day? - I think Fi is gonna be asking Gavin about the broadsword. He would ask Ina, but he doesn't feel entirely confident in asking her too many questions at the moment. - The last interaction you had, she spit in your face. So yeah. - Exactly. - Just a side note, Fi doesn't drink, which is probably gonna be extremely weird for everyone in the military. But yeah, it's just something he likes to keep all of his wits and sensibilities around him at all times, just in case there's opportunities.

- Yeah, it's funny. Gavin just kind of going with the flow himself, but he's generally not somebody who puts too many back. It's more of a social experience. - That's cool, Fi's totally just not into it at all. - He just has some fruit juice or something like that. - Sorry, you gotta repeat that. Did you say broadsword Fi? - Yeah. - Oh yeah, yeah, I did say, yeah. We'll go out in the yard and go take care of that as soon as everybody's ready to turn in for the night. - Awesome, thanks man. - Of course, need some shortsword experience anyway. Maybe I shouldn't have drank the whole thing right away. - Maybe you should be planning to swing swords around afterward. - No, we'll be using wooden, those things, practice training swords. - It's like depressed drunk. - It sounds more monotone. - I'm gonna go out to the yard with Fi. Just sort of like kind of grabs her as if like, not really like giving her much of an option, just sort of like gripping her like one would do with the, I don't know, he's just not really thinking a bunch about her personal boundaries right now.

So you got like training dummies and stuff in this open dirt area. - Let's see, I brought her drink with her. Brought it right out of the bar. - So, okay, we could do this. How about we could have Fi and Una square off with wooden weapons. - Sounds good. - Yes, please. - It would still hurt, but it wouldn't be deadly.

- He'll probably win to be honest, 'cause he's all damaged and you know. - Oh, he's still got to punch through. You got a lot of armor, which is the main reason why you were gonna play tackle dummy. - Yeah, true. - Is that cool with you Fi? - Yeah, yeah, yeah. - Okay, I guess, go ahead and place yourselves right in this area here. Okay, so for the purposes of this fight, let's say all of your powers and everything are still there, but there's no risk of either one of you killing each other. The first sign someone goes limp, you stop obviously. I would think it would be obvious unless someone loses control and wants to try and beat one of you to death.

Like, they haven't done it in years. But it's the Tournament of Champions, which is coming up very soon.

- Oh my God. - Anyone who wishes to participate the flyer, directs them to Sergeant Fletcher's office, where you can sign up and make it known that you wanna compete. So, of course you guys would know about, you guys would know about the Tournament of Champions. That's like the Super Bowl, but it's not, they haven't done it in years since the last crew who won it. Well, if anyone wants to roll a history check, go right ahead. - I can do that. - Okay. - I have a good history. 19. - So, yeah, you know that this, the last time this was held here, it used to be a floating competition that would take place in different cities.

But it was pretty much abandoned after the last winners. They were kind of labeled war criminals in Overdale, and then fled North. So it kind of put a black eye on the, in the whole event. Like if these champions of, you know, that can kind of fall out of grace, then, you know, no one really wanted to compete for it. It's a big, expensive event to put on. And yeah, so that being said, they're bringing it back this year, kind of to boost morale around the city. And yeah, they're looking for new champions. So I don't know if that's something you guys would be interested in.

So telling Sergeant Baker something is like basically, we're being promoted, that kind of thing. So in not so many words, he's telling you you're going to be promoted if you get this job done. - Aha, well, I'll definitely relay that to everybody in case there's any question. - I was wondering who was going to bring up the fact that there was no character named Sergeant Baker introduced yet.

That's attention to detail, Merlin, I like that. Riding to Durn Hollow, who would like to give me a history check on the town itself? And riding up to them on a horse is a, is a like a frail looking girl. - Oh my God. - And she appears to, she kind of hops off the horse and the two women kind of exchange a hug.

And the woman in an eye patch, she kind of, she kind of towers over this girl. Like she's much taller, like kind of stronger looking, even though she appears to be a little older. And the frail looking girl hands the woman in an eye patch something. And then she quickly, they kind of exchange some words and then she gets back on her horse and rides in the opposite direction. Is there anything you'd like to do? That the one thing you do notice, you can't quite make it out, but it appears as though everyone there is wearing a very identifiable armband.

- So we would know what that armband means. - You absolutely would. - Let's kill them. - All right, so I'm just gonna go, hey guys, guys, something's happening over there. Looks like they're trading information. We might want to cut off the source of the information before it can get back to where it needs to go. - Good idea. - Wonder if this is a decoy from Durn Hollow. - They're white Ravens, Gavin. - Oh, are they? - They have armbands, that's all I saw, probably. - So we haven't identified them as such yet. And there appears to be this long pause and then the glowing in her hand stops and she's still on like one knee and she kind of raises her hands up in surrender. - I think Gavin at this point will start actually noticing looking over at Fi.

There's not much of him left, is there? - Judzia, who is the closest will kind of nod. Like he's done. Are we out of combat? - I would say you're out of combat, yeah. - I almost want to hit her again. I don't. (laughing) - Can I slap her? - I want to hit her anyway. - I think if people are advancing to attack her, she's surrendering, stop. - Yeah. So Judzia will like kneel down beside Fi and kind of check him out. - Can we do like some religion or something? - All the religion in the world ain't gonna heal every bone in his body. That's if Kord himself came down and high fived Fi at this point.

And this is highly irregular, you're dragging a prisoner through this place, they don't know you, like, you haven't ever interacted with Commander Grace before and there's no reason for you, you don't have an appointment or anything, you know? - Right. - They just kind of bar the door, whoa, whoa, where are you going?

What are you doing? - We're here to seek Commander Grace. - Oh, what? - And just give him no nonsense, we have a prisoner captured from the White Ravens, we believe her to be of a great importance, she was sharing correspondence with a lady with an eyepatch and we subdued her but not without cost. Please let me see the commander. - These two guards are gonna kind of look at the body that you guys are dragging around and she's wearing the armband and he's just gonna go, all right, go ahead. - Thank you, we'll go on out. - Commander Grace is sitting at his desk and he has one of these big battle maps and he's doing the thing where he's positioning soldiers around just like he's assessing what the Overwatch has in terms of like battle readiness.

- Must control fanboy 'cause all maps, battles, ooh. - And he sees you guys walk in, what's the meaning of this, who are you? - Kind of just throw her down on the desk. - Or plumb. - Yes. - Take her in the back of the knees so she falls down. - So he's kind of, he's making eye contact with everybody and then he kind of like beats Jetzia's gaze and his expression softens a bit. - Commander Grace, we apologize for this unorthodox introduction. However, we now run into a, we believe to be a high ranking member of the White Bird, White Ravens, and she thoroughly decimated us, but we are still standing. One of our party is lost. This seemed to be a larger matter than just Captain, or sorry, Sergeant Fletcher. - He's looking down at her while you're talking. Like it pissed him right off. And then, you know, you're telling him the importance of like why this is happening. And he kind of reaches down and grabs Brianna by the face and he's like tilting her back and forth. Did you have to beat her up so badly? She's just a girl. She's not even wearing armor. - She's a fucking scion, sir. - And he's back and doing it real quick. Like, holy shit, why did you just say it like that? Then look back, like all professional, all the expression drained out. Like, sir, she gave incredible amount of resistance. Do not underestimate her frail appearance.

- And he's continuing to look at this girl. And did you get anything out of her before you, I'm guessing you knocked her out. She's not dead. - Just some sass. - She yelled continually to stay back. However, again, she was passing correspondence with a lady with an eyepatch and we believed her to be of great importance. - Wait, you said she was with a woman with an eyepatch? - Yes, sir, yes, sir. - That's a problem. Where were they when they were exchanging this information? - Not too far outside of Durn Hollow. - Okay, we're going to send a detachment there right away and see if we can track them down.

That woman used to be one of the members of the city guard, along with a man named Trayus Traversen, who was the captain of the guard for a short time. - Yeah. - Yeah. Unfortunately, they defected some years ago and we lost contact with them. The ravens are a militia group who have been quite a thorn in our side for a while. If this girl has any information that we can use, that would be incredibly useful to us. I don't have to tell you that. And he reaches out to shake Gavin's hand. This is some excellent work. - Thank you, sir. We're just doing our job.

- And he kind of looks over at Jadzia and gives this really kind nod, just like a very faint smile on his face. - Jadzia nods back and she like, the whole time they'd all been talking, she was kind of gazing at the floor, not quite looking at anything, but then she caught that and she nodded back. - You said you lost someone today. - Yes, sir. Fee Larva, a sergeant in, I'm sorry, a private first class in your employ. - That's always hard when you lose someone and I'm very sorry that that happened to you. If there's anything I can do for his family, anyone left behind, let me know and I'll personally look into it.

If she's a Sion, we need to get her as chained up as we can get her. We can never disarm her unless we kill her, but if she has information we can use, I would like to get that from her before we take such drastic measures. - Yes, sir. - I'll have the guards take her downstairs.
