And thank you very much and enjoy the show. Let's do that thing where we go around the table and introduce ourselves. I'm Jason, I'm the Dungeon Master. Going around the table, starting with Jen. Hi, I'm Jen. I play Ariel of Grimnest. And Scott. Greetings, I am Scott. I play Marcus Santa, the Human Cleric. And Merlin. Hello, my name is Merlin. I play Mason Darktree, the Human Slayer. Not a human slayer, a human that's a slayer. Never mind. Glass is a slayer. He's a human. He just kills humans, that's it. Very specific. But the bonuses he gets for doing that? Oh my god, yes.
God forbid you guys ever run into tieflings, elves, minotaurs, anything other than humans. Hey! As long as... There are bad tieflings out there. There are a few. Like Marcus? That's subjective. I would say yes. I mean, it depends on who you ask. Ask the fine folks of Durn Hollow. Whether they're Marcus. I meant from Aralov's perspective specifically. Well, okay, then yeah, that's, again, I... Who am I to tell you? So, quick recap. Last episode was a talkie. This episode's a fightie. So, you guys are going to be participating in the Tournament of Champions today, which only one other group in the show's history has ever had a chance to actually do.
Gonna be a little different than what they went through, but yeah, I think you'll have some fun. Now, this is more or less a chance for Commander Grace to try and salvage the Crimson Shield. Not gonna lie, you guys are in dire straights. You've lost more than half of your party in the episode previous. You are... You're kind of getting a new group together overnight. And you've been given a couple days to get acclimated and get to know each other. And the tournament is a way to work out any combat kinks. This is more of a controlled arena where you know there's a fight coming.
You don't necessarily know what you're gonna be fighting. But this is the most chance you'll have to properly work this stuff out. Think of it as exhibition matches, but death is on the line. So, let's pick up things the day of the actual tournament. Now, there's always been an arena in the city of Overwatch, but it hasn't been used for anything in quite a long time. So, preparation has been made to make sure that it's been repaired or any bits and pieces that haven't really been up to code or used in quite some time. All this stuff has been upgraded or worked on.
This is a packed house. I mean, you don't get a lot of entertainment in the city in terms of fighting. Fighting's pretty much been outlawed anywhere. I mean, not even a fistfight. They were put to death for causing some kind of commotion or ruckus, so that kind of stopped. They have a zero tolerance policy for crime, as you guys know. So, each team has kind of been given this locker room area. Now, on the east end of this arena is the locker rooms for the participants of the actual tournament. On the west end is the stuff you guys will be fighting. So, I don't know if there's anything you guys want to say to each other, maybe something inspirational before you're sent out there, but you guys have a private locker room.
I'll wait for the squad leader to take point on that. This is the fun part. Alright, group. This is our first and possibly last chance to prove that we deserve this. This has been a good idea from the beginning. It is not the commander's fault that it was populated with bad people. I believe we have the right people to do this job, and this is our chance to prove it. Go out there, watch each other's backs, target the creatures that need to be targeted and taken down as quickly as possible, work as a team, help each other, and make sure we get through this.
When we get to a point where we don't think we can go any further, I have permission to pull us out. I would like to see us complete this if possible, just to prove to everybody that we deserve the chance. Yes, sir. Hell yes, sir. I'd also like to say up front that I will try to be quick, but some of the things that I do can possibly be damaging to friends as well as foes, so I will do my best to be careful. Thanks for the warning. Well, it'll be the first time for these guys. Poe? Yeah. How you feeling? There's this roar of the crowd that you can kind of tell Poe's a little nervous.
I'm ready to go. Any of you guys know what we're supposed to be fighting in the first round? No. Wouldn't be much of a challenge if we did. Okay, he's trying to psych himself up. Okay, I'm ready. I'm ready. As long as you follow orders, you'll be just fine. He's just gonna kinda nod at air love. Captain Tenbolt is gonna walk into the room and approach you guys. Give him the respectful salute? Yes, sir. As would I. He gives one right back, just a nice snappy ass salute. I just wanted to come here and wish each and every one of you luck today. Commander Grace wanted to be here, but he's...indisposed.
I, however, will be overseeing the entire event and have lined up some very interesting challenges for each and every one of you. I hope you're all feeling up to the task. Yes, sir. Poe just kind of nods in the background. Alright, well then I'll see you out there. Captain, if I may have one quick word. There was something I didn't get a chance to mention in our first meeting, and I would like to have it right now. While I was captured by the White Ravens, I was informed that they know of your plans, including the timeframe for your assault on Winterhaven.
They are going to be prepared for you. You may wish to adjust your plans accordingly. Really? There are spies, evidently, inside Overwatch that are on the White Ravens' side. I do not know who. They did not give names. But they know who is coming, when they are coming, and the timing of it. If you wish to catch them off guard, you may wish to move early. I'll take that under advisement. Thank you, sir. I'm not sure that they would be ready for anything we would throw at them. The fact that anyone from within the city would give them information is troubling.
I've actually long suspected a few people. I'll take care of that, though. You just worry about today. Yes, sir. I'll take care of that. I'm not sure if I would be able to get the map for the arena. I'm wondering how useful Poe is today. We'll see. So am I. He may not be as useless as you think he'd be in combat. We'll see, though. He's the only one I can't see the abilities of for tactical purposes. Oh, that's right. I didn't send that to you. I thought he would show up as a PC on the board so I could scan him real quick like that. That's the thing. I can't make him a PC without making a full-fledged character and going through all that.
It's kind of a pain. I will be doing that. Well, if he lives today, I'll be doing that because I want to do that for Valus and stuff, too. It only makes sense. They're practically PCs anyway. So Tenbolt is in a position where he can overlook this entire arena, so he's in more of a regal position. This guy is running the show today. So he's on Overwatch? Ah! Get out. Thank you. I'll be here all week. We're going to need another new leader. Who wants the spot? Fine. Long range volley of arrows from the evergreen. He gets dark all of a sudden. Man, they're good shots.
They'll fight in the shade. So Tenbolt is going to address this crowd and he's got a lot of bravado about him. This guy can command an audience. He's going to step forward and kind of just shout and the acoustics just echoes throughout this place and everyone kind of dies down. Ladies and gentlemen of the city, welcome to the tournament of champions! And the fucking crowd goes nuts. In years past, there would be a series of four rounds, each more deadly than the last. This year, however, we have honed the challenge of skill down to three. Make no mistake though, it will be just as threatening as it has always been.
And anyone who makes it through to the end will not only have the honor of calling themselves a champion of the Overwatch, but they will receive rewards beyond what most can measure. Good luck to all the teams participating today. He just kind of sits down and the crowd goes nuts again. Let me throw your first challenge on the field. These big double doors open on the opposite side. And Drauk comes out. Two Drauk's. Oh, wait till you hear that practice fight. Jamie Lee got a chance to have a practice fight and Alanna and Breanna were there and they fought Drauk and it was not pleasant.
So I noticed. By the cartridge on the board. Yeah, you guys for your first challenge are going to be fighting some Dragonborn fighters. Let's do this. Alright, everyone roll initiative. Oh, I get it. Oh, crap. I was trying to ignore it. I was really trying to just... There we go. That is terrible. So much for going first. It's okay. It gives us a chance to spread out. It gives them a chance to get closer for the weapons we have. Holy shit, Poe's going first. So Poe's going to start off. He'll use his free action to piss himself. Poe does not look too excited about fighting these Dragonborn.
You can only surmise that they have been captured and forced to fight in the arena because, yeah, there's really no reason for them to be here otherwise. I throw them some grapes. As a side note, I would have left my cloak and everything back in the locker room and I'm down to just like the bare essentials. Armor and such. Let's see here. He is going to move forward five spaces. One, two, three, four, five. He is going to use... Ah, man. He's going to use Flashbang. He has these little exploding pellets and he is going to whip them... He's a ninja. He's going to whip them at Dragonborn Fighter 3 and he is going to miss Dragonborn Fighter 3.
Good job, Poe. Excellent first outing. Dragonborn Fighter 1 is going to run over to Poe and... God, this is awful. He's going to murder him. And use Full Blade. That's a hit. Nine damage to Poe. They've got swords like mine, then. Yeah, they've got these big ass swords. And Dragonborn 3 is going to move up, do the same thing. That'll miss. Dragonborn 4. Wow. Move up, do the same thing. So Poe is pretty much surrounded at this point. Instantly surrounded and miss. He's lucky though, so that's cool. Mason, your turn. Alright, so this is what happened. First off, we had a Poe run up there and try to throw some crap at him, but he doesn't do so good.
Then we got the other guys to jump up on him. But I had a plan. What I did was I went ahead and stepped into my Berserker's Charge. Then I rushed on up there, got into flanking position with Poe. Then I did something unexpected. I kicked the guys' legs out from him. Knockdown Assault. Let's roll that. Hmm, what a 16 versus 4 hit. 17, sorry. 17. I forgot to put my modifiers in there. Oh, yeah, that'd still miss. Damn. Oh, yeah, it still missed. Son of a bitch. These guys are 4 to 2D. Dragonborn and such. Try to kick his legs out. He's held a lot faster than I thought he was going to.
That'll be the end of my turn there. Marcus, your turn. Alright, Marcus will move up three spaces. And we'll start off with an Astral Seal on Dragonborn number one. That'll hit. That is a crit. Oh, shit, it is a crit. Too bad it doesn't do any damage. Oh, that is a shame. Yeah, but he is at a minus two to all defenses. The next ally who hits him gets hit points. Two plus courage from a modifier, so. Awesome. And that's it for now. Dragonborn Fighter number two is going to shift right behind Mason. And... Uses full blade. Plus two for flanking. And that is a hit. He's plus 15?
Well, that was plus two for flanking. Ouch. Yep, that is 16 damage to Mason. Took the hit on my shoulder. Aral of your turn. Okay, I am going to be using Fires of Judgment, which is an area burst one within ten. It is a encounter power and it only affects enemies. So I am going to attack one, four, and three. Okay. I am choosing my targets right now. That'll hit three. Alright. That will miss four and miss one. Okay. So, number three. We will roll some damage. 18. Holy crap. 18 damage to three. Gorgeous. And I can also just slide the tiger one... Tiger? Target? Sorry about that.
Tigers, enter the field. I'll slide the target one square. Okay. And also... Yeah, that's it. Sorry. I was thinking of something else. Okay. Where do you want to slide him? Just one back so that he's a little further away from Poe. Okay. Cool. Thank you. I like it. Poe's turn. Poe, target number one. He's low on defense. He is going to take his broadsword and swing at number one. That is a hit. And damage. 11 damage. Also get back some hit points. Yep. Oh, it will. Wow. Yeah. Plus five? Two plus my charisma modifier, so yes. Five plus... Okay. Boom. Done. Poe is going to... I guess shift one over here.
Dragonborn... Dragonborn Fighter I is going to use his full blade against Mason. That is a hit. Ooh, that is 11 damage and that will bloody Mason. These guys hit hard. Yes. Noticed. One, two, three, four, five. Alright. Dragonborn number three is going to flank Poe, use his full blade, and score a hit. And damage six. So that's not too bad. Number four is going to do the same to Poe. That is a hit. Damage eight. Eight. So, wow. Okay. Mason, your turn. Alright, so I got two on me. They are kicking the shit out of me. Step out of the way of Berserker's Charge and go into Battle Raft.
Take my stance position, slide over, looking at number one dead in the eye. Target number four to flank. Take a swing. Number one is still at a negative to his defenses right now and he is damaged. I can still set up the four for the flank and take advantage of the damage. So yeah, I'll go ahead and take a swing at number one instead. Let's see. I did not add in the plus two for that. We're looking at a 21 versus AC. 21 versus AC. Still going to miss. Jeez. This is ridiculous. Alright, got to do something about this. Action point. Okay. I might as well add the modifier this time.
And roll worst. Let's move on. Oh, God. I'm so sorry. Yeah, these aren't shitty rolls either. They're not terrible. Well, I mean, six. Okay. Not a great roll. Marcus, your turn. Alright. I may have to join the fray here. Not there. Four. That is ballsy. Well, we got to do something. If nothing else, it allows me to take a whack at him with a weapon of divine protection and then I can throw a healing word on Mason. Okay. So for those of you who can't see at home, Marcus has pretty much just charged right up into the fray and gotten in the face of a couple of these dragonborn.
Right in the face of number one, who is still under the defensive penalty until the end of my turn. So I will take a whack at him. That's a hit. And I will crit. Wow, again. That's two in a row, man. So maximum damage is not showing me. Let's see. So it's 16 damage. Okay. One day plus one day, six plus two. Done. 16 damage. All my allies. That's a bonus, but I can throw now a healing word over at Mason and that will be two days. Six should be two D six plus seven. Yeah. 14 plus your healing modifier plus your I don't know. That's just that. That's enough. I was thinking he got a healing surge out of it, too.
Yep, he gets a healing surge. Yeah, I do. And there I am almost up to full again. Wow, okay, there you go. Jeez, okay. Jason, just wait until I hit with somebody with that symbol of life. Yeah, that's it for me. Dragonborn number two going to sidle right up behind Mason. Use his full blade. That's a hit. That's 16 damage. Jeez. Mason's a champ. He's taking this one on the bridge of the nose, man. Damn it, sponge. Well, that's him and- oh, that's kind of their job this fight, I think. Air love! Alrighty, I am going to move, or at least try to move. I haven't done this part before.
Alright, and then I am going to use Maledictor's Doom, which is a minor action, close blast five. It's a channel divinity, so it's basically like my version of, like, lay on hands or something like that, but much scarier. So let's see if we hit first. It's going to hit every bad guy. And actually it doesn't do any damage, it just- each target takes a negative one penalty to attack rolls and saving throws until the end of your next turn. In addition, whenever the target is hit by a fear attack before the end of my next turn, I can push the target one square as a free action.
And then I am going to follow it up with a standard action of Visions of Blood, which is a psychic attack against their will. And unfortunately it is each creature in blast. So, uh, sorry guys. Boy, this is a trade-off. I will only be able to hit one and four with it right now. Okay. So... And Poe, Marcus, and Mason. We're going to have to roll damage to her team and her enemies. Well, we haven't seen that yet. We'll see. It's a calculated risk. All right. Let's just roll down the line here. All righty. That is a hit to Marcus. That is a miss to Poe. That is a miss to Dragonborn number one.
And a miss to Dragonborn number four. Uh oh. And a hit to Mason. Oh no. Okay. Well, I will roll damage then. That's what we call a whoopsie. And we'll look back at her and say, "Try targeting the other side." Okay. Six damage to both Marcus and Mason. That's not too bad. And they take a negative penalty to all defenses until the start of my next turn. Oh. Oh, what's the penalty number? Negative one. Definitely going to have to have a talk with her about tactics when this is done. So the way this works is that basically they are wracked with horrific fear inducing visions.
Okay. But they were not affected by the Maledictor's Doom, so they're okay on that front. They don't take extra damage or anything. You know what's occurring to me? That the three tieflings that are constantly on this show don't do their race any good by the actions and powers they choose to use. What do you mean? I'm just saying, you're inflicting people with your booga booga spell there and filling them with horrific visions. Malthus turns into a demon bat porcupine fire thing, and Valus is a giant sword-wielding monster. So it just, I can kind of see where maybe Theria would have a problem with tieflings on the face of it.
Just the face of it. Alright, alright. I'll follow it up with Sunstrike next time. Unicorn's Rainbow. How bad is that going to hurt me? Brace the unicorn's rainbow. It's just one creature, Marcus, you're safe. Unless you do something stupid. Yeah, unless you do something stupid. Yeah. Poe is going to see that Mason's kind of in a bad position here. He's being flanked and he was just hit with nightmarish visions. Poe is going to lower his weapon, curl up his fist, and try and punch. He's going to try and punch the dragonborn fighter right in the soft part of his throat.
And let's see if this succeeds here. Oh shit, that's a crit! Crit hit. Awesome. Oh, that's awesome. Max damage. So that's 23 damage. Ouch. And this dragonborn is stunned until the end of Poe's next turn. Cool. Awesome. So go Poe. Look at him being all useful. Dragonborn fighter number one is going to use his full blade against Marcus. That is a hit. Eleven damage. And he's... No, he's going to stay where he is. That's fine. Dragonborn fighter three is going to swing at Poe. Get that nice little bonus for flanking and that'll hit. And that's 13 damage. Poe is bloodied.
Yikes. Okay. Let's see. Dragonborn fighter four is stunned. So he automatically grants combat advantage. He can't take any actions and can't flank, so that's the end of his turn. He's holding his throat, I would imagine. That's a pretty easy one to picture. Mason, your turn. Alright, going to follow up his attack with a melee basic. Roll that at number four. The one who is stunned. Good, good. Hmm. If it lets you? If it lets me. Okay, now I seem to be targeting correctly. Two bonus for flanking. Oh my God. Alright, I give up. This is not cooperating with you today, man.
I can't hit anybody and our cleric is critting all of his good rolls. Something's wrong. Um, he, he, he, plus one, Jesus. Um, do you want to move or anything? Get out of that flank, maybe? In case Marcus needs to do anything that the guy is in front of. No, because I'm going to sidestep one. Get next to the pose, so at least I, if nothing else, I can do a heal check on him and force him to use a healing surge. And still take a whack at somebody. I'll step, uh, I'll step one of the side. Because number four grants combat advantage no matter what, so. Yeah, yeah, that's true.
Do you have the multiplier for the combat advantage? Plus two? Yeah, I think you did. Yes, I did. Okay, shitty rolls. No worries. You'll, you'll, you'll get him next time. Um, Marcus. All right, Marcus will shift one. And first things first, let's do a heal check on Po. 27, have a healing surge. He will pop a healing surge. Force you to do that. And since he is next to me and I can take advantage of this now, I will take a whack with the weapon of divine protection. Um, that's a standard. The heal check, that's a standard. Oh, okay. That eats that up. You can do a miner though.
Well, the weapon of divine protection is a... at will. Right, that's, that's a standard action though. All right. Like doing a heal check in, like, that's, that's like a, that's a, that's a standard action. So that eats up the place of, uh, an attack. Okay. Well, in that case, I really don't have anything I can do. Do you want to take it back? No, because we needed him healthy. I don't need my teammates dying on me just yet. Okay. So, now that'll do. Just yet. Later they can die. Okay. Um, let's see here. Dragonborn Fighter number two. Now remember, these things are basically damage sponges themselves.
They're, they're AC monsters. Now, their other stats, maybe not so great. AC and fortitude seem to be pretty high, so what does that leave? Just throwing that out there. Um, I guess he's gonna shift over to Mason number two here, and he is going to, uh, he's gonna use his full blade. He's not flanking though, so, oh, that's crit miss, so that'll miss. Hell yeah. Aralov, your turn. Okay, I am going to go ahead and, I said I was gonna use my sun thingy, but I'm not because I thought of something better to do. Who needs sunshine? Just a reminder, your teammates are the ones who aren't big red dragons.
I understand. Okay, so, I'm going to use Summons of Justice, which is a close burst five, and I can choose one or two creatures in the burst. So I am going to choose number two and number four. For a second she was gonna say Marcus and Po. No, no, no, no. Um, and let me go ahead and see what we can do here. That is gonna miss number two, miss number four. Sad. And, uh, yeah, I'm dazed until the end of my next turn. Oh, okay. This is not going well, guys. The dice are not on your side. Um, Po's turn. Shit. Okay, um, I do not want to pop a daily. Is it okay if I use an action point?
Sure, you sure can. If you do that, you'll just be dazed, you'll just recover from being dazed, won't you? No, it won't affect that. But I can still do an attack, can't I? Uh, when does, okay, you're dazed directly after you miss with that attack, I believe? Uh, it doesn't matter if I miss or not. Oh, oh, it just happens. Well, if you're popping an action point, yeah, because if you're dazed you can only take one action on a turn. But, yeah, go ahead. Okay, so I'm going to use Sunstrike. Okay. And it is one creature within ten. I'm going to go for number two.
I don't like the looks of that guy. He's still on a negative. Yeah, he still grants competent damage. To me? To anyone. Uh... Whether you're flanking or not until the end of his turn. Yeah, that is a hit. Yay! Because you targeted his reflex. Five damage. Five damage, very nice. Uh, it is a radiant damage, but that's it. Okay. Oh, and I can slide the target one square. Would you like to slide the target one square? I would. Okay. Um, how about... just right there. Okay. Yeah, you just did. Awesome. So my turn's done now. Po's turn. Okay. Here's... Okay. Here's what we're going to do.
Here's what Po's going to do. He's going to use something called Sword Dance. He is going to make a melee basic attack against four, still grants combat advantage. Then he's going to shift two squares and make another melee basic attack. He's going to keep trying to help out Mason here. Whirling Blades of Doom. Uh, that is a hit. Yes. Uh... So that bloodies... Wow, that's eight damage, bloodies the first Dragonborn. Then he's going to shift over two. Uh... And then... Let's see, who would be giving... Okay, and then he's going to target two. That is a hit. Go Po!
Wow, shit. And that's eleven damage to Dragonborn number two. The way he's going right now, Oona should be thankful she didn't fight back. He's not too shitty. Maybe he's just... Um... Dragonborn Fighter number one is going to try and beat the shit out of Po. The problem is, Po is not a tactician, it would appear, and he placed himself directly in flanking between one and two. So... We'll see how that works out for him. Uh... Oh, that is a miss. He's got balls. Or very little brains. We don't know yet. Could be both. Could be both! Uh... Let's see here, Dragonborn number three is going to shift right next to Marcus, get in flanking with one, and use his full blade attack.
Uh... That'll hit. Damage... Uh... Fifteen. Oh! Damn, that'll bloody Marcus. That was a big hit. Number four is no longer holding his throat. He's recovered. And he is going to use his full blade attack against Mason in flanking with Dragonborn number two. That'll hit. Uh... That is nine damage. Uh... That'll bloody Mason. Mason, your turn. Alright. Switch up stances from Battle Wrath to Berserker's Charge again. The bail-ass over here. Avoiding all attacks of opportunity. Flanking again with number two. And I'm going to hit with a melee basic attack. That's a hit. Roll damage.
Gorgeous. Eighteen. Then I follow up with a flurry strike since I landed the blow. Roll again on the same target. And another hit. Roll damage. Six damage. Six ain't bad. Six ain't great, but ain't bad. It's better than what you've been doing. We've got it bloody. Yeah, you've got... You have a couple of them bloody now. You're chopping these trees down. Anything else? Power strike. One of two for the day. I'm going to add another weapon damage. Which is going to be a one D twelve. One. Now see, there's the roll again. Okay, that's one of two. No worries. Take another point of damage.
Turn's done. Totally cool. One point of damage more. Mother fucker. Marcus. Alright, Marcus is going to shift one to give Ho combat advantage on Dragonborn number one if he chooses to use it. And he will Astral Seal... Alright, Po, who are you going to target? Two or one? Two's bloody. He's probably the better choice. Two, yeah. He's indeed a target. So I'll Astral Seal him. Number two. And that will miss. Alright. And then I will Healing Word myself so as I don't die. God, you're at five. Yeah, that's why. Holy shit, I didn't know. So two D six plus seven plus my Healing Surge.
So I get fifteen. And that's my Healing Surge value. Well, I can do that this way. Fifteen plus nine. Gorgeous. Alright. And I'm done. Doesn't look like you got enough hit points back. I had to do it. You can't add a Surge along with the hit points. It wouldn't let me. I had to do it separately. I clicked on the Surge and it clicked it right over to one. Really? They don't let you have the bonus? No, well, the bonus... Maybe I just did it wrong. No worries, man. It just tells you how many Surges you can use. Then on the other side of that there's the bonus ticker you can click up.
Alright. Dragonborn Fighter 2 is kind of in a bad way here, guys. So when these guys are bloody, they gain a plus one to their attack rolls and plus two to their damage rolls. Because they need the help. They're disciplined fighters and slightly genocidal. So they will thin out their own ranks to make themselves stronger. This is a result of that. So they're going to go all Arilov on us and... Well, smash a lot of friends. Let's see here. Number two is going to use his full blade against Mason. That is a miss! Well. Arilov, your turn. Alright, so I am going to do something that's going to look a little bit crazy, but I'll be good.
Alright, so I'm going to move right over here. And I am going to try that Visions of Blood again, but this time I'm doing it out from me so it just hits four and three and none of my friends. So let's see what we've got here. That one's a miss. And that's a miss. Dragonborns don't see things evidently. Oh, they see you, Visions of Blood. Yeah, that's probably true. Anything else, miss? Yes, let me double check something real quick. I might be able to do one other thing. I might have to hit though. Yeah, I would have to. Never mind. Crap. Okay, post turn. Damn, sword dance is an encounter power.
Um, I could use a flashbang, but I think that would hurt teammates too if I throw it right there. I do not want to blind Arilov, so let's not do that. What's the range on the flashbang? It's a burst one. I mean, does he throw it or is it one space from him? Well, it's a thrown thing, so it's a burst one within five. And that's a range. He'd get the shit kicked out of him. Yeah, that's the other thing. It would be worth it to blind two or three of them, but it may also blind Marcus and Arilov, and I'm going to get the shit beat out of me, because there's two hired goons flanking him, so let's not do that.
Could he step here and throw it straight down? Does that count as a ranged attack at that point? Where's here? Because then he's got all three. Yeah, then he'd be flanked by all three of them, and as soon as he throws it, they all get attacks because it's a ranged attack. It's a ranged attack no matter what he does. I didn't know throwing it straight down was still considered a ranged attack. Yeah, even if you use a bow and arrow and you're firing one square away, that's still a ranged attack technically. Well then whack on number two since he's bloody.
Yeah, he's going to whip out his broadsword here and throw a strike at two. That's a great miss. Damn it. That would have been good. Ah, number one. Okay, Dragonborn number one is going to use his full blade against Poe with a plus two for flanking. He did not miss. And damage fourteen to Poe. And Poe's bloodied again. Yeah, number three is going to take a swing at Aralov using his full blade with a plus two for flanking. That is a thirty. That will hit. Yeah, I think thirty hits just about everything. Yeah, that is eight damage. Number four is going to do the same thing and swing at Aralov.
Full blade. No bonus though. Twenty-five will still hit. And that is nine damage. Mason, your turn. Alright, got to put number two away. Let's hit him with melee basic. Switching stances to Battle Wrath. Get some extra damage. I lay in the blow. And flanking modifier. So hit. Nice. I lay into him a little extra hard. Change that to eight. And we roll. Nine damage. Boy, he's not going down. Throw in a power strike. It's the last one for this fight. Roll one more weapon damage. D12 up. Eleven. Eleven! Okay, to clarify, Aralov I had to add two because of the racial passive when he's bloodied he gets plus two on the damage.
Okie dokie. I know you've been hit twice, I believe. And you were hit twice. Yeah, two different grenades. Okay. So that is eleven damage to Dragonborn Fighter II. Gorgeous. Alright. Anything else? Nope. Okay, Marcus, your turn. Alright, Marcus is going to shift back one away from Aralov and he is going to use Shining Symbol. Close blast three each enemy in the blast. One, two, three, and I can nail one, two, and four with this. So we will attack. One, two, and four. It's all let me do one at a time, but hit number four. Missile number one. And missile number two.
So we just hit number him. Four damage is one d8 plus four. Nine damage, unfortunately. Yeah, and each target, each target gets minus two on their attack rolls until the end of my next turn. Okay. Cool. So we are done. Okay, let's see, number two is in a really crappy way. He's going to use his full blade against Poe one more time. Plus two for flanking. That is a hit and damage eight to Poe. Okay, that'll reduce Poe to 18. Okay. I forgot, I got to tell you guys, you can't see that. Yeah. Aralov, your turn. Okay, so I can't do what I want to do, so I'm going to move real quick.
I'm just going to shift one back that way. And then I am going to attempt to do sun strike again. I'm going to do it against number four. Hoping we'll be able to take him out. That's a hit. Yay! Woo! That'll be eight damage. Anything else? I think that's it for now. Okay, man, Poe's getting the shit slammed out of him here. I do not want to spend my daily. I could try another throat punch though. It worked out well last time. It did. Here's what we're going to do, because we already have combat advantage against two. Poe's going to try throat punch against number one.
And that will hit. Yeah. He loves to punch people in the throat. Nineteen damage! Wow. That's good. He will be... Wow, that bloody number one. And he's stunned until the end of Poe's next turn. Poe is good. Mason, do you want Poe to stay there for the combat advantage on two? Yep. Okay. Well, it's not like one's going to get a shot at him, I guess. So one's turn, he's stunned. He's going to be making sounds at something similar to "huhhh" Number two gets no flanking bonus. No, he does not. That's true, you're right. Cannot flank, yeah. Number three is going to shift over to Air Love and use his full blade attack.
And that hits. Okay. I... Immediate interrupts. Go ahead. Alright, so first on my curse forged armor. The trigger is that an enemy hits me with an attack. That enemy takes a negative two penalty to attack rolls, save ends. And when the enemy saves against that penalty, the enemy takes a negative one penalty to attack rolls, save ends. Wow. And that's just an immediate triggered thing. And I'm pretty pissed off at this point, so I'm going to also use Infernal Wrath. Okay. Which does 1d6 plus intelligence, or charisma. It's calculated out for me sometimes, so I'm taking a quick look here.
Intelligence is a plus two. So we'll do 1d6 plus two. And six damage. Six damage to him. Alright. And that's it. Continue his turn. Okay. And he is going to swing damage at... Ooh. That is max damage. 17 damage. That will reduce Air Love to two hit points. Yeah, that hurt a lot. Uh, let's see. Number four. Number four is a choice to make. Number four is going to shift over to Po. And use his full blade attack. And he will hit. And that is six damage to Po. That was... wow. Okay, that was much less than what was done to Air Love. Mason, your turn. Alright. I'm going to land a two once again with the melee basic.
Oh, that's a three. Yep. That is going to miss. Done. Uh, Marcus, your turn. Marcus is in a bad spot here because he can't hit bloodied people. And pretty much everyone is bloodied. Exactly. So, I guess we'll do a healing check on Air Love. And take a healing search. Yay. Bring you up a little bit. And number one is disabled so we don't have to worry about him. So, Marcus is going to stay right there. Okay. Uh, let's see here. Number two. Number two is going to take a swing against Mason. Being as though he doesn't get combat advantage anyway. That is a hit. Oh. Sixteen damage.
That will just reduce him to zero. That will knock Mason out. Air Love, your turn. Okay. I have a question. Ask away. So, I have a power that says that I can transfer one effect that a save can end from the target. Okay. Would that include dying? Because a save would end dying. It's touch based. I know. I don't believe that counts for dying. I think it's day stunned. All that kind of stuff. Like negative two to this. I don't think you can... I didn't think so, but I had to ask. Oh no. Hey. That's totally admirable. You think it is martyr's blessing? It's actually called sensory caress.
And you basically take on somebody else's pain for them. Alright, so I guess I'm... Yeah. I am going to... I'm going to try to... Let's see. Sorry. I think I'm going to do my Sunstrike, but I'm going to take a step back first so that I don't get smacked in the face for it. Okay. That is a hit to number three. Yay! That is five damage. Awesome. Anything else, Mason? I hit the wrong damage roll. I had my melee basic attack thing open. Oh, okay. Is it okay if I reroll damage? Go ahead. Go ahead. That's the wrong stuff. Yeah. Oh yeah. That makes more sense. Eleven. Okay. So I'll give him back his five.
There we are. Okay. Anything else? No. My turn is done. Thanks. Okay. Po. I really don't want to use a fucking daily. Okay. We got to try and take down two here. I'll use a broadsword against two. Holy shit! Stop using your broadsword. Throat punch everyone. You get a throat punch and you get a throat punch and you get a throat punch. That is an extremely lucky roll with throat punches, the thing, because the mod is lower for that than it is for the sword swing. Dragonborn fighter number one, I guess. He is recovered. Man, this is going to be bad for Po. I think this might be bad for everybody.
It might be. That is a hit. Damage to Po. That, oh, sixteen damage will reduce him to negative four. Po has been knocked out. Oh shit. We're not doing so hot here. This is terrible. I'm going to use my control. And it wasn't. Well, it's interesting that we're supposed to set up to be a stealth group and now they're throwing us in against four tanks. Mm-hmm. Maybe they're just trying to kill us off. That would be ten bolt, yes. That would be successful in just a moment. God. Okay. Dragonborn number three is going to use his full blade attack against Marcus and hit.
And damage, twelve. Dragonborn fighter number four. Well, everyone's knocked out up there, so. Finish him. God. It's all I can hear. That's theirs. Let's see, let me read this. Termination order. Hmm. Okay, that's not what we think. Should have used your daily while you were alive, but. Yes, he should have. Po is not a strategist. Man. Um. Yeah. Let's see. One, two, three, four, five. Gonna get right next to Air Love. Use a full blade attack. That is a hit. Let's hope for a lower damage roll, people. Nope. Ah. Jason always wanted to find out what the fan's reaction to a total party kill would be.
I really didn't. We are not dead yet, though. Come on. Let's, let's, let's. There is one of us standing and that one cannot hit a bloody person without going out. Well, then I throw a heal check or something. You got another, you got another. I got a daily that I'm going to pop right now, yes. Okay. Mason, throw a saving throw, please. Hope for a twenty. Doesn't matter. I'm assuming he rolls a twenty. Sixteen. Sixteen. Okay. You are stabilized. Marcus. Blackened soul. I will step back one. I'm assuming I don't want to do this while I'm standing next to him. Let's see.
One, two, three, four. And Mason's within five. So you get two healing surge and until the end of the encounter or until you are fully restored, you get a plus two to your power bonus attack. Two attack rolls and damage rolls, but everybody gets combat advantage against you. So to you, two healing surges plus does he get my, I forget, does he get my, yeah, you get my bonus as well. So it's going to be two D six plus seven twice. So twelve and thirteen. That's awesome. Twenty five plus your two healing surges. You're healed. You don't, since you made it all the way back, you don't get the plus two bonuses, unfortunately.
No trouble. I don't need to give them any other benefits. No, you got a plus two to all your rolls, not them. Oh, they'd get it because you had to have combat advantage as well. That's true. Yeah. Yeah. So no more back up. Okay. Hold on. Marcus has an action point, correct? He does. Marcus is going to spend his action point wherever that is because I've never used one before. So it's under status. There we go. Gone. Marcus's action point. He will step to the side here and do a healing check on Arilov since I can't bring her back. Twenty seven. Already has and you can't move a second time set.
Oh, I can't? Yeah. Yeah. She's already popped her second wind. You had her do that. Okay. So I can't bring her back by doing that. All right. In that case, well. Did she pop a second wind? Did she? I didn't think it used the second wind. I thought it was just a healing surge. I thought it was just a healing surge too. It is. It's for second wind basically. Oh. Oh, okay. Oh, I did not know that. Neither did I. I thought it was enough of a penalty that you used your standard action to heal somebody in combat. But okay. All right. Okay. Use your action point and use your own second wind though and turtle up so they're going to start kicking your ass.
Well, it's either that or I pop him of resurgence, which can you know what? Yeah. You're being pro back if you do that. Yeah. Because that'll give him five hit points. So we'll fire off a him of resurgence. So five spaces, two, three, four, five. Big area effect. Every ally in the burst can gain either five temporary hit points or make a saving throw. Oh, please. Five hit points. Thank you. There you go, Po. You're back on the board. And everybody, let's see, I get to target everybody in that shot to give them a minus two penalty to their defenses until the end of my next turn.
So we're going to target one and two. Two. Two. That's going to miss two. That'll also miss one. Yeah, totally. But it also brought Po back on the board, which is the important part. Yes. Are you done soon? Unfortunately, yes I am. Possibly in more ways than one soon. Okay. Dragonborn Fighter number two. Seeing Marcus do all this, he is going to move towards Marcus. Now you guys are both down, but I do believe you both get opportunity attacks? Yep, but a minus two penalty. With a negus two, yes. Okay, so go ahead. So this would be almost like he didn't notice that you guys were conscious again.
He figured you guys are down and he's moving away from you and you're just kind of taking these desperate swings from the floor. Go ahead, Mason. That will hit... Po hit. Po hit, Mason miss? Yes. Okay. Twenty-two have hit. No. Oh, we had flanking as well. Actually, my minus is away, so it would be twenty-three. When you're downed, do you have flanking though? Crap, I don't believe so. Never mind. So, broadsword did hit, so that is thirteen damage. Fuck you. I'm sorry, I just saw his hit points. That is such a fuck you from the table tonight. Just going to tell you, that brought him down to one.
You couldn't have tripped on the way over? No, here we go. Full blade attack to Marcus. That is a miss! [Laughter] Finally. Erloov, roll a death saving throw, please. Alright. Just a d20. That is a four. That is one strike against Erloov. Alright. Dude, fuck this noise. Po's going to stand up as his move. I really don't want to pop my daily! This seems so terrible, but I think we kind of got to do that. He's going to die again, Po. Right. He's going to use finish it, which is his daily. And hit. He's going to take this huge stabbing blow with his broadsword. That's a 46 plus five.
Twenty-two. And the target is... Why is that cut off? That shouldn't say... Just click on it again. Oh, the target is prone. Okay. So adjust and prone. That's not going to help a tremendous amount, but whatever. Got a lot of pence stacked on him, though. Yeah, true. They're right on the cusp of dying, but not quite. Yeah, so are we. You know what? Fuck it. Po's going to pop his action point. Stupid. And swing down at him with his broadsword. Plus two for that and a hit! Yeah. That's got to kill him. That will kill the damn Dragonborn. One down. Yep. We're even here. One each.
Here comes big number three. He's going to attack Marcus with his dragon breath. Dude. What does it hit? Shirt pocket. It's an entire thing immense. Take as many as you need. He's got a minus two to his hit from the debuff that Erolove gave. That is true, so that will miss. Because it was a terrible roll. So he lets loose with a spray of fire and Marcus manages to dodge it somehow. Number four. While standing next to an unconscious Erolove, doesn't really need to do anything there. So going to sidle up to Marcus. And he's going to use his full blade. Not flanking though, so that's something.
That's a negative two to that though. So sixteen hit your AC? Nope. Here we go, that's another miss. Yeah. I totally forgot something I have that would have helped save my life. What's that? Well actually, depends. When we look at half our level are we rounding up or down? Down. Always down. Okay, well I guess it doesn't matter because we're level four so it's an even number. I have a sensate starting feature where I gain half my level and temp HP after using an encounter attack power or a daily attack power. Oh crap, that would have saved you. Well live and learn.
Sorry, I think I can bring her back on the next turn. That is it, yeah okay. Everybody just missed me so... That's true, everyone did just miss you. Mason, you are conscious but on the floor. Alright, I'm going to stand with my move, do a kip up, then I'm going to switch over to Zrkrs charge as my miner and I'm going to charge and do a melee basic attack at the end. Plus one bonus roll for that from the charge. Actually, plus three from the charge bonus and then actually the stance. Gorgeous. Of course I'm going to miss. I'm going to miss. No seriously, I've been doing this like rolling fives and sixes this whole time.
Yeah, it's not good. This is terrible, I'm supposed to beat the damage. If Terilov wasn't unconscious I would look at her and say "I thought you said this guy could hurt people." I can't help it if they're made of plate mail, their bodies themselves. They're just scales and armor, that's all they are. Turn this down. I mean it's easily, yeah, Marcus, do something. Yeah, well I'm going to do what I can and you guys are going to have to worry about taking these other two out because I'm about to put myself down. I'm going to do a healing strike on number two.
Okay. And I hit. You just hit too, wow. That's all that matters. Yep. 2d8 plus two, 16 damage. You have killed him! The important part is that an ally within five healing squares can spend a healing surge. Terilov, would you like to come back to the board? Yes please. Good, because I am stunned for my next turn. Is that a psychic feedback kind of thing, like you feel his pain? I'm a pacifist. Oh yeah! I could be a bloodied opponent. Do I get any bonuses to that or just a healing surge? Nope, actually it is a healing surge so it does still pop. 1d6 plus your charisma modifier.
Plus the healing weapon or the healing item I believe. Does that sign of life or whatever have another plus one? Symbol of life, yeah that's when I hit an enemy. Well it says an attack made with this holy symbol so I don't know exactly what I'm whacking somebody with. A healing strike is not an implement I don't believe, I think it's weapon. Okay so, I meant to ask you guys about this. What is my symbol of life? It says my implement is my holy symbol. How am I hitting someone with a holy symbol? You're not, it's just you're channeling your divine power through the holy symbol.
It's like the conduit. Oh okay. Like a laser pointer. Holy crap, in other words I add another, oh no that would do extra damage it doesn't actually. Yeah. Daily power, when I use any creature healed by your encounter power or daily powers gains 1d6 points. So if you want to pop that that'll make or even pop the enemy. A strength is a that so I can add 3d6. Jesus. And bring back an additional 17 points for Aralav. And plus 4 on top of that. Oh and 4 more so 21. Inner healing surge. Fuck it full health for everyone. Hell yeah. Yeah well that's Marcus' symbol of life shot guys.
I'm out for a turn. Alright I've just given you back 17, well okay hold on. Sorry. No no that's my thought. So that does bring you back to 28. Alright Aralav you're conscious. Yay. Okay so I do not like the fact that they are kicking our butt. Let me see what I can do about it. Is it apparent to me whether or not Marcus is like injured and that's why he's out or does he just fall over prone or I mean is he unconscious? I'm more like just standing there going I hit someone. Just dazed. Yeah. I'm just stunned. More like a nom flashback like he's like oh my god what have I done.
He he. Here's the planes. Yeah. There's Chinese everywhere. Okay. We have lots of people who listen and are in the military. I know everybody who's in Afghanistan right now. Okay I'm going to take a step back. Okay. And I'm going to attack number 4 with sunstrike. Okay. And it missed. Anything else ma'am? No. Oh you can't take a step back you have to stand up. Fine. Which means she wouldn't have been able to do sunstrike either so. Yeah cause it's ranged. Visions of blood hose em all. That's a close blast 3 that's not going to be a problem right? Nope. Okay so I'm going to do it so that it doesn't hit any of my buddies just these two guys in front of me and then kind of off to the side in the middle of nowhere.
You kind of can't. Yeah you got to do it. It's like channeled right in front of you. I'll show you the way. See they're going to shoot out like that. I know what you're saying. That wasn't quite right anyway. Yeah that was not right. I'm a dork. It's okay. Alright. Sorry Marcus. I'm not going to notice at this point in time anyway so. Yeah. Thanks for helping me up. Let me help you down. That'll miss number 4. That'll miss number 3. That'll miss Marcus too at least so. Yay. Oh there was Jesus in the background. That was Ferlin. I feel sorry for anybody who's actually still keeping track of the stats of who we hit and miss.
Cause I have the balls. There's a lot of misses in the tallies this year this week. Alright this is silly. Are you done ma'am? Yeah. Okay. Po is going to stand up. I know he was up. No he was up. Okay. So 1. Yeah 1, 2. There we go. That's where I want to go. Oh he's going to use his broadsword. Yeah I have a better chance of hitting with broadsword so let's do that. Do you? Son of a whore. I'm going to save you 2 for 2 with the throat punch. I know but it's a lower... An 0 for a lot with that broadsword. Like if it hits it does a lot of damage cause you're punching someone in the throat and it stuns them and everything that's great.
But it's a lower modifier to the... It's a mathematical anomaly that you keep hitting with it and not with the broadsword. I know. I know. It's stupid. Alright. Maybe I have to start thinking like Po. Like Po wouldn't give a fuck. Like yeah but that does more damage. That's all I got. Dragonborn Fighter 3. He needed to make a saving throw by the way last turn. He did. Yeah. Let me do that real quick. 16. Okay he saves but he still gets a negative 1 to his... So he's still cancelling out. Yeah. Yeah. So now it's just regular. Full blade swing against Marcus. That is a hit.
Damage. That is 9 damage. Okay. Still up. Still alive. Dragonborn Fighter number 4. This is the worst guys. This is the first fucking round. Yep. Dragonborn Fighter number 4 is gonna use his full blade against Marcus. Standing there stunned. Can't do anything. Crit mess. Alright Dragonborn Fighter. Go take a shower here. Mason. Your turn. Switch over back to battle wrath. Coming out of a circus charge. Make the step forward. Take a swing at number 3. Out of this. Uh 23 hit. It will! It will! Last one for being speedy. Yes. Finally. Okay. Let's get that damage and then... Plus 2 bonus from the stance and we roll. 15.
That will kill it. Nice. Yes. Fucking clenching on this side like waiting for you to roll. Please just get a hit. That's alright. You can feel it. You can have the feels. Alright my turn is done. Okay. Marcus. Marcus is stunned so he is not doing anything this turn. Nevermind. Erolove. Alrighty. Since we've just got this one guy left. I still think that Sunstrike is going to be my best bet and now I can take a step back. You certainly can. Was not prone this time. There is only one Dragonborn on the field. I think I'll attack him. That's a hit. Yay. Target that reflex. 9 damage.
Anything else? Nope. Po's turn. They're weak in the throat, Po. Holy shit I love Marcus. Just creepy. They're weak in the throat. Kick them in the nuts. You know what? Fuck it. Let's try the throat punch. Son of a bitch. I have no idea. That doesn't make any sense but let's roll with it. That shouldn't have been a good shot. That shouldn't have hit. The numbers, yeah. I rolled a 19. That should hit. Whatever dude. He is just going to plunge his fist into this Dragonborn's throat and fucking kill it. Rips the entire throat out. He just... He Magroobers this guy. Go for the jugular.
You got a problem with that, Po? You can follow orders, Po. Po saved you guys' ass. I'm just going to throw that away. As I recall, Po was dead at one point and I had to bring him back too. True. No. Po looks really satisfied with himself. They're like, "Alright!" The crowd's going nuts. I'll give Po a respectful nod. Hell of a thing he did there, man. He's kind of like, "Yeah, alright." Just kind of nod at everybody. "Okay, okay." That nervousness seems to have vanished from earlier. Let's do this. How about you guys grab a drink, take a break if you need one.
Just take a deep breath. Grab a drink. Get our encounter powers back. Take your healing surges. Okay, whoa, whoa, whoa. This isn't an extended rest. No. Encounters come back, though. Encounters come back and you guys can spend healing surges but you're not getting your dailies and stuff back. No. No. I encountered those. Okay. Now the bright side is that each round is different. So you're not going to be fighting beastly, awful dragon men who are tanks. You have a character thing you're going to do, right? Yes. So before we go on to the next part, we're allowed to go back to our locker room and stuff, right?
Yes. So I would like to perform a ritual if it's all right with the other members of the group. And I would broach it to them very matter-of-factly. Like I'm hiding the fact that I'm concerned about their reaction very deeply and just being like, "Okay, so this is what we're going to do. I'm going to pass around this cup. You're each going to bleed into it. We are going to each drink from the cup and it will help us in our next battle." This shit's new. Okay... Po's going to speak up. You want me to drink blood? It's just a little. It's sangria, Po. Don't worry about it.
A little is more blood than I've ever drank. It would get hit in the mouth so hard that you can taste it? Actually, yeah. Yeah, no. Okay. You're right. Tastes like sucking on copper. Why would I suck on copper? Sometimes you gotta bite down on stuff you get in your wounds sewed up. You ever had that happen? Well, yeah, actually. I get hit a lot. He's like, "Not some understanding." So... Sorry. He gets hit for different reasons than what Mason gets hit in fights. Po gets hit as a result of doing something stupid to friends, usually. Go ahead, sorry. I don't have the ritual loaded up into my character sheet here, but basically what happens is that if everybody agrees to it and participates in it, then I would do some ritual thingies to it and say some fancy words.
Then we would be able to exchange healing surges so that those of us who have extra can give them to people who are running out. Ooh. Okay. What's the tradeoff? Okay, I'm ready. Basically the cost to entry is one healing surge is sacrifice, whether it's hers or anybody else's. It's kind of like the pay-to-play. And then we can start just shuffling around healing surges, provided nobody comes out with more healing surges than they can have at their maximum. Okay. That's the mechanics of it. Okay. Po has five left. Okay, I don't mind sacrificing one for the ritual.
I currently have six left. I've got eight. I've got three. Ooh. Let's keep that healer alive. Alright, so does everybody agree to this ritual? Yes. Hell yeah. They don't have anything to hook. Okay. Sure. Okay, so she'll dig around in her pack of stuff and bring out a chalice. It's not anything fancy, but it's just a small metal chalice and a ritual blade. And she will say a few words in Draconic or actually, let me double check that. I think that's the language I picked. Yeah, you know Draconic. Okay. So she'll say some words. No, I know primordial. Oh, really? Yes.
So I will say some words in primordial. And there would be almost like a chill to the air. And then she would cut the palm of her hand and drip some blood into the cup and then pass it to Marcus on the left. I will... Pass to Marcus on the left hand side. I will take the chalice and do we use the same knife? Yes. Does that matter for the ritual? Yeah. I will do the same. I will cut my hand and bleed into the cup. Kids don't do this at home. Yes, please don't. It's not sanitary. We're blood brothers. It's not a good idea in this day and age to do things like this with blood.
Yeah, no, totally not. No larping this. Mason, it's your turn. Here you go. Alright, no problems. Takes the hand, slices against the thing, splashes it into the cup and passes it over to Poe. Poe's looking at this thing like, "Yeah, just fine." He kind of gives himself a light cut, enough to bleed, but he's not really gouging at himself. It's more of just kind of a quick slice. And he kind of bleeds into the thing and then hands it back to Erolove. Okay. Erolove would add a pinch of a fine shimmering powder. Which other magic users might recognize as residuum.
And she would say some more in primordial and then take a sip of the cup herself and pass it on to Marcus. And Marcus will take a sip and hand it over to Mason. Mason drinks and passes it to Poe. Poe's going to take it and just look at it. Do I have the drink? Do I have to drink this? I mean, is it enough that everyone else... Poe, drink it. That is an order. Fine. And he sips at it. And just very much the look of like a child has if they have to take cold medicine or something. And he hands it back to Erolove. Alright, so out of character, we need to divvy up the healing surges.
So I am going to take myself down to three, which puts two in the pot for somebody else and one for the spell itself. I'll drop one in the pot as well. Let me see here. How many does Poe have left? Five. Does it cost one to... It only costs one for one person. Either me or one of the other allies. Alright, so yeah, he has five. Alright, so how many do you have Mason? Seven. You have seven left? Okay, so Poe can take... we have what? Four in the pot now? Three, I believe. Three? Just three. Yeah, the fourth one was basically the cost of casting. Okay, so Poe can take one and I can take two.
That'll bring me up to five. Okay. Opening him up to six. And that will allow us to at least give me a chance to stay alive a little bit, I guess. Alright, we'll keep Erolove back, maybe. Yes. And both Marcus and Poe, being the recipients of the extra healing surges, would probably notice that they feel bolstered. Okay. Alright, awesome. So it's like Big Trouble in Little China? Yes. Okay, awesome. With the boots and everything. Nice. Are you guys ready for the next round? Yes. Yep. Okay. If you guys would like to place your characters right in this area, wherever you like for the next round, please let me know where you're gonna pop them.
Well out of the way. Good idea. I kinda need to be a little closer at times. Poe's gonna slip back just a little bit. There we go. Alright. So, who would like to roll a perception check for me? Me. Go right ahead. You'd be the one to do it. Or not. Aww, I got a 16. Okay. The crowd looks happy to see you guys. You guys are the Crimson Shield. You're kind of being put out there as the hometown boys making good. There are other teams that have formed from the military and stuff, but you guys are this pet project from Commander Grace. It's skipped clean over Tenbolt.
Tenbolt's not getting any of the credit for this. Be all you can be. Join the Overwatch Army. Be like us. There you go. Something like that. And the fact that you guys had such a hard fought fight, you're kind of the underdogs to these guys. It's like, "Oh shit!" It's a great match. It wasn't a slaughter. Usually the opening match in something like this, it would be like, "No. Kill these puppies!" and like, you know, just, "Yeah!" It'd be kind of like something to whip the crowd up. That was not puppies. And it's a really big deal. Like, "Okay, we're starting this thing off with a bang.
Awesome." Tenbolt, it's hard to make out his facial features from here. It's hard to make out what is it. He doesn't, from where you're standing, he doesn't look to be too incredibly pleased. And after a few seconds, you guys have taken the field again. You've had a rest. The other teams have participated, and it's time for round two. Has there been any kind of reaction specifically to the fact that there's a tiefling on this team? That is one of the... Okay, you were hanging out in the bar before, so people have kind of seen you around town and kind of, they've had a chance to not necessarily acclimate themselves.
Like, they're not going to go buying you drinks or, "Hey, good job out there." But it is, it's more, it kind of adds more mystery to the team. Kind of adds to that. It's like, "Wow, okay. Who the fuck are these guys?" So it's kind of, it's building some hubbub about your team. The fans were thrilled to see the first time she took action, she smacked two of her teammates around. Yeah. Yeah. So Tenbol gets up again to speak. Ladies and gentlemen of the fair city of Overwatch, there are traitors in our midst today. And from behind you, the doors open again.
Now this is where you entered, not from across the arena. And Fi's mother is being escorted into, very much against her will. So she is being escorted into the arena by two guards and they kind of like shove her out. Once they get past the doors, they shove her out. And you can see she's carrying this big broadsword that is far too large for her. And she's just dragging it. Like she kind of drops it as soon as she gets out there and she kind of runs back and tries to claw her way against the door. They've shot it behind her, they're not letting her out.
And Tenbol goes on to say, "The woman you see before you is the mother of a former Crimson Shield member. A coward. A turncoat. He's decided that he would rather side with the enemy than support his own mother and city. He has stripped our city of some measure of honor, and I see it only fit that we give his mother a chance to earn some of that back by defending herself with honor in the arena." The doors are pushed open once again. And Rodswell is escorted into the arena. And the guards are doing a good job of pushing Flow back, like she's trying to get back out and they're not having any of it.
So Rodswell is also escorted into the arena. Rodswell looks a bit shocked. Not expecting this. This was not part of the bargain. "The man you see before you is a former member of a group of terrorists. He traveled with and aided Malkus Grimnus himself." And from the crowd there's this huge boo. Um... Dan? Uh, Dan is a bit shocked as well. Hi. Yes, I purposely didn't tell you what's going to happen here today. Just to add to it. Yeah. Okay. You can call me an asshole whenever you like. It's totally cool. Alright. From the opposite end of the arena. I'm the only one in this arena that Rodswell would recognize.
Yep. Well, we're about to change that. Let's see here. From the opposite end of the arena, the doors open. And several men and women wearing white raven armbands are being escorted in. There we go. So they have been... there we are. Now, before any combat, like they've been escorted in, kind of shoved in, and Tenbolt speaks up again. "These spies have been captured just outside of our fair city. No doubt plotting to sabotage us and endanger each and every one of you in some way. I see it only fit that they should pay for their crimes in the arena against the Crimson Shield." And he kind of says the word Crimson Shield like... kind of almost derogatorily?
There's something in his voice that's kind of... there's a little venom in there. Bastard. I was so nice to him. Let's add the party. Take out Fi, Una and Jadzia. If you guys would like to roll initiative, please. Alright. Twelve. Welcome back, Rodswell. Thanks. Level nine. I'm gonna be honest, they could use the healer. Thanks. No, I'm saying as help. As additional help. You guys, you pulled it out at the end. I'm not saying you didn't pull it out. I'm just saying, you know, you could maybe use a little help. So, just to clarify, they're on our side and we're all fighting against the White Ravens?
Yes. Well, they're on our side. Well, they're on your side. It's default. Yes. Yeah. Yeah, they're on your side but it's very much like... or die. Like that's kind of... yeah. This is not something where they got to prep or anything. Fi's mom is very much wearing her regular clothing. So, I take it that Rodswell at least heard the announcement about Fi's mom, correct? Oh yeah. Because I don't know how much he knows about what's been going on since he... Probably not much at all. Because he's been passed out most of the time. For a couple of days, yeah. And he's... it's been days and days since that.
So, he's had time. So, this would have been a thing where they would have come and captured you and just... This is Tenbolts. This is Tenbolts call. Right. Because Rodswell did everything thinking that he was going to be accepted as a hero after what he did. And now he's being shoved in to fight. He was also promised he wouldn't have to fight again. Yes, you were. By Commander Grace. You absolutely were. Dan was also promised. No, I'm joking. Yeah, but there's a guy who lies to Dan all the time. So, that's... Fuck that son of a bitch. Well, yeah. I mean, I knew you were an asshole.
I didn't know that. Right. Exactly. Like, this should not be a shock. But also, Tenbolt. Kind of an asshole. Like, he's not... yeah. There's some... there's a lot of mistrust going on in the Overwatch right now. Right about now. There was a defection, like a major defection, and now it's like, "Oh, who can we trust? Well, let's suss this out." That's kind of what's going on. Right. So, we're still breathing. Yes. Poe's at the top of the initiative again. Poe, don't charge forward. Let them come to us. You saw what getting up in front did to you last time. And he's about to take a step forward.
He's like, "Okay. Okay." He's just going to go total defense then. Rodswell, I don't know why you have been pulled into this, and I am sorry for it. I did not have anything to do with this. But if you want to walk out of there, you're going to have to help. Who would like to make a Perception roll for me, please? Sure thing. Okay. That's a little better. Eighteen. A lot of these White Ravens are looking straight at Rodswell. Which would lead you to believe that they had some kind of connection, or maybe they've met before, or it's kind of a shock to see him on your side.
Something like that. Oh, there's no... Okay. I was going to see if there was any kind of check I should do to see if I recognize any of them. Roll a Perception. Okay. Twenty-one. You definitely recognize some of these faces. Okay. You have definitely met them before. But none in particular. That's Johnny. You know what I'm saying. The dude what helped me study. Did you just say the dude what helped me back when I was a senator? You know, like when I was studying on the gate and stuff. It's not one of those guys. It's just people that were around. This would be more people you met during your time...
The first time you basically encountered them in the tree line in the forest. Like you were knocked out for a while thanks to the orb. Gotcha. But you have, maybe not formally met, but you have definitely crossed paths with these people before. You have seen some of them. If I saw them at the mall I'd give them a nod, but I wouldn't go over and shake their hand. Okay, gotcha. But yeah, it's still kind of embarrassing. It's like, "Oh, I turned on all you guys. Sorry." Oh man, White Raven number two. One, two, three. Actually, just four. He's going to whip out his crossbow and use something called Bullseye Bolt.
And he is going to fire at Mason and that will hit. Alright. Sixteen damage. Now it should be noted that Bullseye Bolt is something like... This is something like Liara would have told him. Like, this is like, "Okay, take a deep breath, measure your strike and aim for something vital." So that's kind of a big deal. That's not something they're going to be pulling off every... Two more of them do that and Mason is down. Right. I'm just saying, that was a good roll. I'm just throwing it out there. The others are scions. No, I'm just... No one laughed with me. Okay.
One, two, three. We're all feeling a little threatened right now. I thought it would be a funny thing we'd all laugh at. Fuck you. No, it's cool. No animosity. No, no, no, no, no. I'm not picking up any at all. He is... He's just going to move up a second time and get to Marcus. Number... Okay, White Raven Soldier three. One, two, three, five. And another one to get right up in Mason's face. Now, did Poe completely turtle or did he just hold his action? Oh, he turtled. Okay. Yeah. Poe's more of a turtler than a, "Okay, I'll just wait to jump in." So I'm going to...
Self-preservation, man. One, two, three, five. And he's going to get right up next to Poe. Errol of your turn. Okey-dokey. Only not okey-dokey because people will yell at me. Oh, no one will yell at me. It was a joke. I think it was a joke. All right. So I'm not very happy with these guys at all. First, I'm going to tell Fallau, "Stay close to me." Sorry, I'm not being speedy. Take your time. Do what you got to do. I just threw a lot at you. Yeah. Yeah, I was thinking about it, but then I would only be able to hit one of them. Is it a daily? Is it an at-will or is it an encounter?
The one I was tempted to use was actually a daily, but I will say that. Hold off on that then. Yeah. Okay. I'm going to go ahead and move up here. And I'm going to tell Flo to get behind me. And then I am going to use Visions of Blood. And I will be hitting just number one. Okay. Or I think I've moved up one too far. Yeah, you need to step back one. There we go. So now I'll just hit number one and not Marcus. That is it? That's it. Whoa, it's a crit. Yay. See, that's how you start the fight off. Okay, so on a crit I also get an additional, let's see, 1d8 damage. Gorgeous.
Yeah, I will roll that first so I know how much to put on here. Right here. Oh, isn't a crit just max damage? Yes, but then I get an additional 1d8 on top of that because it's a crit. Yeah, the enchanted weapon. So an extra six, so I'm going to throw that on there. Sixteen. Anything else, man? Well, hold on, just what is the damage of this attack? Uh, it was 16. Okay. No, I was just trying to do the math in my head of what the die rolls were. It was a 1d6 plus four. It was only in Atwill. So it was 1d6 plus four and then an additional 1d8. I was trying to do the math.
I'm like, how did that come up with an even number ten? Oh, yeah, I know what you're saying. It goes with an extra 2d6 or 2d4. I'm like, I'm not doing the math right here. Because it's maxed in, yeah. Okay, so then the target takes a negative one penalty to all defenses until the start of my next turn. Okay, negative one to defenses. Boom. Okay, gorgeous. And that's my turn. Okay. Um, man, White Raven number three. You already moved. Three didn't. Then how is he directly in front of Mason? There's White Raven soldier number three and White Raven number three. Oh, sorry, soldier and then, yeah, sorry.
My bad too. It's all good, it's all good. Um, three is gonna use his bullseye bolt against Aralov. That will be a hit. Seventeen damage. Damn. Didn't realize these guys were trained to buy bullseye. Uh, pretty close, Leora. Uh, Rotswell. Okay, Rotswell's pissed. So, uh, he's not, he's not gonna make any declarations of any sort. He's just getting to business. He's gonna snuggle up, hold on, where was I here? I was right here to start off, right? Yes. Okay, he's gonna snuggle up right here. There's no opportunity there because it's all my move. Oh, yeah. There is?
Oh, yeah, of course there is. Yeah. 'Cause I went from here to here. You just, I mean, you went, we're right. Like, okay, as soon as you get to here, you're, you're flanking me. Oh, yeah. You're, you're, yeah, you're adjacent. So anytime you try and move past this first point, it would be an opportunity. Right. Been a long time. No, no, no, that's fine. That's true, that's right. When you're moving up, can you go one, two, three, four, and that way I can shift there and go after him if need be, and we can get flying. Sure, go for it. Okay, no problem. Yeah, so here I am.
I'm going to use Resurgent Sun on number, that's a one, right? Correct. Yes. So there you go. Oh, wow, think of all the new gizmos on the board that he hasn't seen. Yeah, this is weird. So good, do that. When's the last time you fought anything? I'm trying to think now. Because I was dunking on the last time we sat down and played, and that was, that was four weeks ago. So last time I fought anything must have been almost two months ago. Been like January. Yeah. Yeah, so think about how much the board has changed basically since group three started. Yeah. This whole controlling your own character thing?
Hit. Thirty-one. Okay, do that. Hold it again. Eighteen damage on him. Eighteen damage will kill him. Okay. Wait, no it won't, sorry, I spoke too soon. Just kidding. Just kidding, he's okay. Resurgent Sun also allows me or one ally within five squares to spend a healing surge. So... Harrowlove? Harrowlove or Mason? I'd say give it to Harrowlove. Okay, because I can get somebody on my next turn. So Mason needs one on the next turn. That's what I was thinking. I just added a surge to my hit points. Okay. Oh, that's healer's lore. I think you get an additional bonus to hit points as well, equal to your wisdom mod.
From Rodswell? Yes. Oh wait, I don't think he has healer's lore, he's the other type of cleric. Yeah, he's the gonkum in the head kind of cleric. I'm a war priest. Alright, I think Rodswell's done, aren't you? Yep. Okay. Hey, he's dead. Um, but... Mason, your turn. Alright. I say stepped on up, I'm gonna switch over to the power of Berserker's Charge. If they were gonna say love for a second, that would have been great. Power of love. That's the power of love. Charge over, ignoring opportunity attacks. I'll take it. Yeah, but it's no fun, because you had already done it.
Like, the fun is making someone who doesn't want to do it do it. I gotta say, I do it all the damn time anyway. No better. Alright, so I'm gonna take a swing with my melee basic. Alright, and I'm getting a net bonus of three, oh, five, because of the flank. Better damn well hit this guy. Roll on up. Now that hits! Nice. Let's roll that damage. Fifteen. Woo wee. Is he dead? You damaged yourself. You just did damage yourself. He hit so hard, he hurt himself. Caught himself in half with his own machete. I will heal myself. I blew fifteen instead to him. And that will kill him.
Nice. I adjust HP. Alright, so my hit points are back because I hit myself, I'm so awful. And that is going to end my turn. That's how it's done. Flo is shitting herself. I told her to get behind me, just in case. Yeah. Yeah, she is going to... Yeah, she's gonna make her way over to... Yeah, she's gonna make her way over to Errolov and kind of hide behind her, like, just kind of cowering behind her. She is terrified. Markus, your turn. Alright, Flo, stay with Errolov. Do not leave her side. She's just like shaking her head like, "Oh, okay." Markus will step up to, or step to the right to, and since White Raven #1 is still way in the back, Po will get his next shot at White Raven #2, the Soldier type.
So I will Astral Seal that one. Anybody else notice she got a broadsword as her weapon? Well, family type. Yeah. Like, that is, yeah, we'll let you defend yourself. Here, take this. It's 15 and a half pounds. And it's what you gave your son. Yep, it's the worst. Alright, so that White Raven is at a -2 for all his defenses, and whoever hits him next gets some hit points back if they need him. Okay. Alright, -2 to all defenses. I'm going to call it a turn at that point. Whew! Uh, that'll bring up White Raven #1. Over here, motherfucker! Well, we might as well open with Bullseye Bolt.
I mean, that seems to be pretty... Um... To Errolov. That is a hit. 13 damage. Which brings us to the top of the order and Po. I'm going to do an immediate interrupt. Okay. Let's see... uh, Infernal Wrath. Okay. So 1d6 plus 2... 8 damage to #1. 8 damage. Got it. That's gotta be funny as shit, Sam. Just hitting somebody then they can - boom! Just hit you with a flame. Yeah. Okay, demon, I can't use... Okay. Um... Go ahead and use your broadsword, Po. Po's going to use Sword Dance. And he is going to make a melee basic against White Raven #2. Dance, motherfucker, dance!
That will hit... 15 damage. Nice. Who left that to Jackson? He's going to shift to this way and do the same thing to White Raven #3. That is a crit! Nice! Woo! Let's see here, that is 17 damage. Nice. Boom. So maybe this guy did train with Una, who knows? He just panics in a crowd, that's all. Yeah, that's a... Oh, god. Okay, let's see here. White Raven #2 is going to use his crossbow against Po. That is a hit. 6 damage. Nothing too bad. Shake it off, man. Oh, Po got - was Po damaged before...? No. Okay, I didn't know if he was at full hit points or if he was short.
No. Okay. No. I'll keep you posted, though. No, I was concerned because he would have gotten some back when he hit #2. Oh, healing pinata. Oh, yeah. Forgot about that. Oh, that's right. I also get a thing for using my encounter power. I get temporary hit points. Yes, two temporary hit points. Nice. Every little bit helps. Dazing Strike from the White Raven #3 is going to use that against Po. And that will hit. Damage... 9. So what he's going to do is take this mace and rock Po's head with it. And Po will be dazed until the end of this guy's next turn. Why? It's not like it's going to cloud Po's thinking.
Yeah, well... And dazed. So, #2 is going to now flank. And he is going to try and stick him with a dagger. And that will hit. And that is 14 damage. That will bloody Po. Motherfucker. Errol of your turn! Alrighty. I am... I am going to move up just a tiny bit. Let me do some counting real quick. I'm going to move up... to... And I am going to do... Summons of Justice. Which is a close burst 5. So I will hit numbers 1 and 3. Oh, and the other 3 as well. I can only hit 1 or 2 creatures in the burst. But I'll hit the 2 3's instead of 1 and 3, I suppose. Cool. Alright, so...
Attack. That is a hit to number 3 and a miss to Soldier number 3. Alright. Alright, so go ahead and roll damage. 18 damage. Wow. That is nice. In addition, with my Covenant of Malediction, it also knocks the target prone after I pull him 3 squares. Fucking A. Pull him right up next to me. Yeah, pull him down right next to... Yeah, like that. And prone. Gotcha. Okay. I am dazed until the end of my next turn. Okay. White Reaver number 3's turn. He is going to pick himself up as his movement action. And he is really pissed at Erolove. Well, can't use any ranged attacks, so I guess he's going to use his club.
Club of Thubba. Oh, is that what he calls it? Oh. And score a crit. Oh, shit. Thankfully, it only does 8 damage. Yay. And I have 2 to 10 hit points. So, 8 damage, that eats up those 2 hit points. You're down to 10. Umm... Rodswell! Okay. Before I move, I'm going to cast Shield of Faith. It's a minor action. Each ally in the burst gets a +2 power bonus to AC. Until the end of the encounter. Thank you. No problem. Oh, and me. So, umm... And I can't really, uhh... Swaddle up next to the dude to get flanking without getting hit. So, I'm going to go right there. And... I am going to do...
Where is this here? Just to let you know, his name is Poe. He's a very respected member of this team. No, no, no. I didn't mean Poe. I meant number 3. Sorry. Oh! Okay. Yes. Okay. Umm... No, I understand. I respect Poe. I'm glad. He's worked hard to get it. I can tell. Umm... Okay. And, I am going to use Blessings of Battle. Which is just a regular old attack. So... On... 3... Roll. That is a hit? That is a hit. Okay. And... Damage... It's 10. 10 damage. That will bloody... Umm... In addition to that, uhh... Me or one ally within 5 squares... Oh, but I get... Oh, I hit it anyway. Umm...
Get Resistance to all damage until the end of my next turn. The Resistance equals my Constitution modifier. Okay. Umm... I will... Give it to Poe. He's stunned. Yeah, I'll give it to Poe. I was debating between Poe and Flo, but I'll give it to Poe. Uhh... Awesome. And... Mason. Alright. So, I'm gonna have to sprint on up. Still keeping on my Berserker's Charge. Move to this position. And that is a charge attack. Doing Melee Basic. Modify that to 3. Actually, 4. Let's go there. And roll. I said roll. That is a hit! Excellent. Roll that damage. 17 damage. Gorgeous. Let's throw on Power Strike on top of that for another D12.
Okay. 4. Is he still standing? He is still standing. Motherfucker's getting a Sohae Flurry. Bloody, though. Yeah, I'm gonna give it to Poe. I'm gonna give it to Poe. Flurry though. Yeah, bloody. Let's roll that. That's a miss. Flurry's not a hit. Alright. And that is my turn. Okay. See, when Mason gets to hit stuff, he does damage. Very respectable damage. Flo... Flo is going to get, like, right here. Oh, god. Stay away, Flo. It should be noted. It should be noted that these ravens aren't necessarily trying to hit this defenseless woman. Yeah. Just throwing it out there.
They're not monsters. This isn't like you're fighting something that... I mean, but, you know. You guys, on the other hand, are armored and... Yeah. Um... Hmm. What can Flo do to help? Can Flo do anything to help? Can she sneak behind one of them and get behind there on her hands and knees and we can put one of them? Ha! Um, she's going to use Reassuring Touch. Uh, and she is going to reach over to Erolove and, um, uh, just kind of like, just kind of like, just her touch on her shoulder is enough to Reassure and give Erolove five temp hit points. Sweet. Cool.
Um, it's very little that she can do in combat, but she wasn't really made for combat, now was she? Marcus, your turn. Okay, Po is bloodied and dazed. That's not good a combo. Um, so Marcus will step up two and we will take a shot with a Weapon of Divine Protection at number two, White Raven number two, and he is at a minus two, so we'll toss that in there, and miss. Miss, okay. But everybody who is adjacent to me gets plus two to their defenses, so that includes Po. Nice. Po's going to need it. Yep, that's the idea. Uh, White Raven number one is going to advance.
Is Po dazed or is he stunned? Stunned. Oh, wait, what was it? I think he's dazed. Dazed. Dazed, yeah. Yes, dazed, not stunned. Stunned would be way worse. Dazed is, yeah. Dazed is manageable. Okay, White Raven number one is going to use his club against Air Love. Oh, god damn. Wow. And crit. Um. So much awesomeness. As an immediate reaction. Yes. Flo is going to use Get Away From Them. Um, and what she's going to do is, uh, she is just going to kind of use her entire body's momentum and try to swing this broadsword clumsily at number one. Which will most likely not be effective, but it's more of just trying to protect her protector.
Plus, um, she's already met Air Love, so, boy, this is probably going to be terrible. Oh! Uh, yes, 18 will hit. Yay! Well, son of a bitch. Okay, wow, okay. Good job. The flat, uh, 1d2 plus three. Get 'em, Flo. Nine damage. Wow, nine damage. There's a surprise attack. That's, so, just kind of should get away from them, and just like twirling her whole body to get this broadsword off the ground, and it just kind of slashes at this guy, and like, she almost loses her balance and falls over. Um, now, that does not stop the damage from, so that's eight damage to Air Love.
But still, kind of cool. Uh, whose turn is it that would be? Po, who is stunned. Oh, he's dazed. Dazed, dammit! Uh, dazed isn't so bad. So, he grants combat advantage, and he could only take one, uh, one action. So, I guess... Go for the throat, motherfucker. I think he's going to try and punch... That's not going to work this combat, but go ahead. And, shut up. He's going to try and punch number two, uh, White Raven Soldier number two in the throat. This should not work, but let's try it anyway. Son of a bitch! Hell yeah! He is a deadly throat-punching motherfucker, man.
Dan, he's done that four times so far and hit with all two of them. And it's a lower number than his, like, broadsword or something. It shouldn't hit, like it's... It couldn't hit, literally, a barn with that broadsword, because he's a throat-punching guy left and right here. Why exactly does he keep punching people in the throat? Because it's opportunistic, like it's a Malcolm Reynolds type of move. Like, it's very, it's like, fucker, like just, like, Po's kind of an opportunistic dick. Like, he's just... He is, very much so. And it works, so... Shit, so, okay, number three here, number two here is stunned.
Now, until the end of Po's next turn. Grasping at his throat. He's like, just coughing. Just like, ugh, it's such a dick move to do something. In the throat, in the throat, really? Right in the throat, right? No honor, no fucking... Fuck you! Like, it's not even a punch to the dick or something like that, I just picked yours. Just, really just throwing a wild punch to the throat. And he keeps doing it, and it keeps, it shouldn't hit. Like when Edward Norton punches Brad Pitt in the ear. Yes. White Raven number two is going to fire his crossbow at Po and miss.
Crit miss, matter of fact. Wow. He's gonna try to hit him in the head, but then he threw his body into that blow and whisked right over the head. Yes. Jeez, let's see here. White Raven soldier number three, I guess, is gonna try to use his mace against Po. And miss. Po's untouchable. He was afraid to hit him with the mace, he saw what happened when he dazed him, he throat punched the guy next to him. Number two is stunned, moving on to air love. He's going, "Holy shit!" Okay, so first I'm gonna do Maledictor's Doom, it's a close blast five. And it's only each enemy in the blast, so it's not gonna hit Mason.
And each enemy in the blast takes a negative one penalty to attack rolls and saving throws until the end of my next turn. And whenever the target is hit by a fear attack before the end of my next turn, I can push the target one square as a free action. And that's numbers one and three. Did we lose Jason? No, I'm right here, I'm sorry. Okay. You didn't say anything, I didn't know what it was like. I'm sorry, no. It's okay. Alright, so then I'm gonna do Visions of Blood, which is also a fear effect, so hopefully it'll hit. And that's gonna be a close blast three against one and three.
Okay. That will miss number one. But it'll hit number three! Yes! Alright, so damage. Finally scared somebody other than our teammates with it. That is your blue. Every Grimnast gets a blue. Seven. Seven damage. And a debuff. He gets a negative one to attack rolls? All defenses. All defenses, that's what it is. Negative one to all defenses, guys. In addition to the negative one to attack rolls and saving throws from Maledictor's Doom. And I can now push him one square. Okay. I'd leave him where he is. Yeah, I was just about to say I'm not going to though, because I'm helping flank.
And your debuff's gone, right? Yes, I'm no longer dazed. Very nice. Okay. White Raven number three's turn. I would think he would try and use his club against Aralove after that. Why not? They've crit-ed with every other one. Nineteen, almost a crit. Six damage. I have one hit point left. God damn. Sorry, my turn's coming. I'll bring you back up. Rotswell! My turn's coming. I'll bring you back up. Okay. Sexy. I look over at the tiefling and I... No, I'm not a bitch, guys. Jeez. Healing Word. So I am a level... So it's 2d6. So it's a healing surge plus 2d6. Let me hold that up.
Admittedly, our other healer is a lot stronger. Yeah, much harder than I do. Well, it's a healing surge plus four. That's the thing. You don't know where this healer's coming from. This healer came from group one. They don't so much heal as hurt. Yes. I'm trying, man. I know! Doing fine. And it's greatly appreciated. Four is better than nothing. And also realize I'm not communicating with anybody. I see someone who's bloodied, so I try to help them. That's... Right. These aren't your friends. Right, exactly. Though I don't think Rotswell has any friends. No. He thought he did, but no, he doesn't.
I'd say Marcus is close, right? Yeah, I didn't have a problem with Rotswell when he came over. I'm a little perturbed with him being here as well. So I'm going to continue my assault on three here. I'm going to use Searing Brand on it. You may want to step in for flanking. Oh yeah, I can do that. I won't get in trouble, will I? Nope. Boop. Let's do that. Okay. So we're going to do this and this and that. 22% AC. And damage. 12. You have killed him! Well, he would have been blinded if I hadn't. Well, he's blind and dead. Now he's super blind. Let's say he's super blind.
It's a new effect. Is that it for you, sir? Okay. Rotswell's not under the impression that he's going to be fighting another battle, correct? Dude, I don't think you know what impression you're under at this point. Yeah, you just kind of got tossed out there. I don't know if I would make that assumption just yet. Okay, yeah, then I'm done. Because at first I was thinking about popping an action point, but yeah, go ahead. All right, Mason, your turn. All right. Switching stances up to Battle Wrath. Still holding my position. Doing a melee base against the same motherfucker.
And we roll. And that'll be a hit. All right, and we roll that damage. 18. That will kill it. Him. He had a name. His name was Jerry, and he's dead now. So this is what happens, right? That was Jerry? Geez. That was Jerry. So Jerry here tried to take a swing at me, grabbed his arm, planted the blade at a 45-degree angle, and sawed his motherfucking limb off. And he dies bloodily and painfully and loudly. Jerry screams a bunch. He was a screamer. Then I point at one and say, "You're fucking next." One tinkles a bit. And... Hopefully not on Fies Mom. Speaking of Fies Mom, Flo, using the momentum from her first swing, is going to try and swing one more time at number one to keep him away from Air Love.
That is much less... That is much more clumsy. That is a 13. That will miss. So White Raven number one just kind of dodges her second strike. Marcus, your turn. Did she shift back one behind Flo? Or behind the Air Love? Yeah, you know what? Yeah. Kind of get away type deal. So she swings and then shifts back. Yeah, this is... Yeah. Fighting's not her thing. Alright, how banged up is Po? Hit points wise. He is down to 26. 26? Yeah. Alright, so Air Love is still more injured, and she's going to get hit next, so Marcus will step one, will sidestep and shift one away, and he will use healing word on Air Love, which will get her 2d6+7. 12 more hit points, and if you wish, you can use a healing surge as well.
For Po, right? No, no, for Air Love. Air Love, sorry. Po can take another shot. Air Love can. She's going to get punched next, so... Po's alright, I can step up and help him next, so... Roswell glares at Marcus, sizes him up, just like, "Fuck you." Marcus is a healer, period. Alright, I'm going to end my turn right there. White Raven number one. He is just... let's see, he's already taken a shot from Flo and dodged one. At this point, she is an enemy combatant. He is going to shift over one and use his crossbow against Flo. That will hit. Did you add the two to her AC?
Does she... oh, let me see here. For the Shield of Faith. Yeah. That would still hit. Oh yeah. She's wearing a dress. She's wearing a cocktail outfit. Yeah, she's... She's... yeah, um... That will be enough to... that will down-flow. Like, she takes an arrow in the gut and goes down. Oh boy. Po's turn. He is no longer dazed. Damn, I already used Sword Dance. I could try the Throat Punch again, just to keep the streak alive. I really should. Math-wise, I should use the Broadsword. I should. It'll hit this time. Okay. Alright. It doesn't. It's your fault. 'Cause you chinked it.
It missed. Po's a piss-ass roll. It's still your fault. It's still your fault somehow. He's under your command. He would have used his fucking fist, targeted his Lernex, but no. Oh god. White Raven #2 is gonna use his crossbow against Po. And that'll hit. And damage. 16 damage. That'll bring Po down to 10. White Raven Soldier #2 is going to use his mace against Po. That... ugh, that'll miss. That's a terrible roll. Errolove, your turn. Okay, I am going to use Sunstrike against White Raven #1. Flow has just landed in a heap behind you. Is she like at zero when dying or...?
Um, no. Okay. No. I basically just need to kill the things that are trying to kill her and then feed her a potion as soon as I can, so... If I may, very likely his reflex is going to be decent since he's a good shot. I know, but I don't really have anything else right now that's gonna... I mean... Visions of blood. Yeah. Okay. I'll do that one then. That's gonna miss. Okay, so, um... That's just my standard. I can still use a move and a miner, right? Yep. How much is it to give somebody a healing potion? That's a miner. I'm gonna go ahead and give a healing potion to Flow.
Imagine you removed the arrow from her gut. Yes. Okay. So... Do me a favor... Well, I'll roll it. That's a... 1d10, I'll leave. Eight. So that's eight hit points for Flow. Yay. Yeah. Okay. She's still very much bloodied, but, you know, yeah. Okay, that's it for my turn. Yeah, not dead. That's good. Okay. Rodswell, your turn. Possibly muted. No, I'm here. I'm good. Uh... Doo doo doo... Okay. Um... If I'm counting correctly, there's no way I can flank two, correct? Hmm... Unless you have a seven. No. No, I have a five. Yeah, that's what I'm saying. So, instead of doing that, I'm just gonna mosey on over to one here.
Um... And I'll just use Blessings of Battle. Um... 19 versus AC. Geez. That will hit. Okay. Oh, plus two, but yeah, it doesn't matter. Yeah, it doesn't matter. 15 damage. 15 damage. Gorgeous. You have bloodied him. Okay. Um, and I will give Flow resistance to damage, equally my Constitution modifier. Gorgeous. Okay. Healing words for Poe? Well, I can get him a Healing Surge on my turn. Alright. Alright. And Mason. Alright. Switch up to Berserker's Charge. Slide in over here. Taking flanking. Take a swing. And we roll. Hit. 29's a hit. No, you hit Mason Darktree. No, you did.
Damn it. I think it's still hitting. 29's still hitting. Oh, I think it's still hitting. My god, it's not targeting myself. 29's still hitting. Alright. I roll. Looking at nine. Nine damage. Is he dead? He's not dead. Power Strike. That's the second one for this fight. Roll another d12. Take four. Four extra damage. Done and done. Alright. Alright, Flo's turn. She is going to stand up. And cower behind Aralove. Good idea. Marcus, your turn. Marcus will take one, two, three, four steps around Poe and up to White Raven number two and attack him with Healing Strike. Okay.
That'll miss. But Poe can take a Healing Search. Poe will take that Healing Search. Then add 1d6 and plus three at this point. Four, sorry, with the item. And another ten. Healing Search plus ten. Okay, hold on a second. Okay, cool. He's up to 35. Anything else? No, he's not dead. He's not dead. He's up to 35. Anything else? Nope, that's it. Okay, White Raven number one is currently being flanked. This is no cool. No cool. That's, that's, this is no cool. No cool at all. Ugh. Not even, not even little. Um, fuck it, he's going to use his club against Mason. That's a hit.
Actually, uh, yeah, shit. It is not a hit. It is, actually it is. It still is. 20, okay. Uh, so five damage. Nothing, nothing huge. Kind of a clumsy weapon. Bitch! Poe is going to try and punch this motherfucker in the throat. Woo! Fuck it, just roll with it. Poe throat punch tortillo. That'll kill him! Holy shit. He punched another dude's head off. Your voice box is forfeit. Can that count as a notable kill just because he killed him by punching him in the throat? He's done it like two or three times? Second time he's done it. Did he accidentally punch through the throat and it's like he pulls his hand out and it's just horrible?
I don't even know how to picture that. Like it's more just him being frustrated in combat. It's like let me target the softest, most vulnerable part of you. Um, and he is going to move. One, two, three, four. One, two, three, four, five. So that'll give Marcus flanking White Raven number two. Gonna use his club against Marcus and crit. Yeah, it's a club. Yeah, eight damage. Pretty, pretty clumsy. Still kinda sucks. Yeah. Uh, Arilov, your turn. Okay, so I am going to use Fires of Judgment and it's an area burst one within 10. Uh, which means that although I'm, uh, firing it at a particular square, it'll hit each enemy in the burst.
So I'm actually gonna fire it at this square right here and hit this guy. But because flow- You can hit anywhere in the arena with that. I know. But, uh, the reason I'm putting it right there is because if I have an ally who is bloodied that is also within the burst, then the attack deals more damage. And since flow is bloodied, we're gonna try that out. So you're attacking number one. Uh, unless you use the little glove icon, it doesn't show us where you are. Oh. Sorry. Oh, that'll hit. That'll hit number one. Oh yeah. I kinda figured it would be right about there.
Okay, so I need to bump the- I'm gonna roll it manually because it's got the wrong damage because of her being in there. Okay. So it's gonna be 2d12. Mhm. And plus four. So, 13. 13 damage- How dare you hurt my friends. Is enough to kill him. Yes! Yeah! So let's see here. Is there anything else you'd like to do? That is it for my turn. Rodswell, your turn. Okay, um, let's see here. Just gonna warn you guys, Rodswell sucks at ranged, so- It's okay, why don't you just stick back and help flow for the moment and poke and turn around and throw punch number two. That shouldn't work, but it probably will.
That's your answer to everything, Captain. Um... I'm trying to think if that's what Rodswell would do right now. We're both healthy, Mason is behind you, he's healthy. She's damaged, go help her for the moment. Fine, I'll do that. Well you can tell by looking at her too, she's not a combatant. She's not meant to be here. Not even close. She's an older woman who's wearing a dress and holding a sword. Do a healing check on her or something. I'll stand here. She doesn't even have a shawl. I have a healing word left. I can do that. You sound so begrudging. She's not a PC, who cares.
Just do a heal check on her and get her to use a healing surge. Provided she has any of course. Yeah, fine. I'll do a heal check. There you go. 34. Yeah, almost a crit. She will use one of her three healing surges. Okay, so I'm rubbing her wounds. Okay, cool. Well other people have fun. She is no longer bloodied. Mason, your turn. Alright, so how far away is this son of a bitch? Look at that, one, two, three. Oh, I can still get him. Alright, Berserker's Charge stance still there. I'm gonna move up. Four for my standard move. And then I'm gonna charge the rest of the distance.
Melee basic. We roll. And that's a hit. 32 is a hit. We roll damage. Fourteen. Fourteen. Got nothing to add to that. My turn is done. Okay, Flo is gonna spend her turn. After Rod Swell heals her, she's gonna whip around and just bear hug him. Just like throw her arms around his neck and just start crying. Just like, thank you. Just like, just scared and just thankful and yeah. Rod Swell awkwardly hugs her. But he doesn't look too happy about it. Well, give me an insight on Rod Swell's mind. Rod Swell went through a lot of pain to heal her son who is now a traitor.
A traitor. Right, so he's... Probably the reason why he had to come here. Right, so he's kinda doing this begrudgingly, you know. Yeah. Cause it's the right thing to do but he doesn't feel like it, you know. Right. Marcus. Alright, Marcus, we'll just use the weapon of divine protection and straight up attack number two. Make some waffles. Yep. Cause a hit. A hit. How weird. Okay. I don't know what to do now. Yeah, it's one of those, do I really do this stuff? Nine damage. Anything else? No, but everybody who's adjacent to me will get plus two defense. Ah, thank you.
So I will end it at that. Well, Poe is gonna look to Marcus and he's just, what do you want me to do? No whammies. No whammies, so go for it. Poe is gonna clench his fist and try throat punch. Holy shit. Five in a row. Oh my god. Eighteen damage and that'll bloody... Poe is just our version of the little guy from Rock 'Em Sock 'Em Robots and he's just knocking people's heads off. Fucking Poe, I love Poe so much. And that stuns him, correct? That stuns number two. So his turn is forfeit. Skipping over two, we're going to Erolove. Okay. At this point, because he's so far away, I think Sunstrike is all I've got, so hopefully I'll be able to beat out his reflex anyway.
That's a hit. Yay. Eleven damage. Gnarly. Beautiful. Anything else, ma'am? You wanna move? Um... nah. Okay, just shift one to your right. That way if Rodswell wants to try and come up and get closer, he can get through easier. Done and done. Speaking of which, Rodswell. Um... okay, fine. Here's what Rodswell's gonna do. One, two, three. Okay. Um, so he's gonna move five. Which means you gotta kinda push flow off of you. Right, yeah. And then, uh, probably at the end of the encounter, I'm gonna pop an action point. Okay. I'm gonna move again. So there I am, nuzzled up right next to him.
Um... Let's use... where is it here? You want this kill so bad. Yeah, I do. I can feel your want for it. Okay. Um... Gonna use Sunburst on number two there. Okay. So... there we go. There we go. That is a hit. Oh, okay. That's a crit. Oh, shoot! I know it is because it asked me if I wanna let my Facebook friends know that I scored a crit. Um... Do you want them to know? No, it's okay. Okay, good. Um, that's radiant damage too, so doesn't like the sun come down and stuff, doesn't look like it. Doesn't look really cool as I score the crit. Well, I mean, it's all kinds of glowing, yeah.
But I mean, you don't affect the sun's orbit or anything, but I mean... I understand. I don't pull the sun out of the sky. Okay. The sun comes down and high-fives me. Okay, so it's 16 damage. Um, that will kill the last remaining White Raven. So you guys have murdered a pack of White Ravens. Congratulations. That one went a little better. Yes. We kept Phlosem alive, or Phesem alive. Um, that will take you guys out of combat. Now, here's what we're gonna do. We're gonna wrap things up for the evening. Um, because, um... Scott's gotta be at work in a few hours. He's gotta wake up from work in a few hours.
Um, so... Four and a half hours. Dude, why? Why? Um, is this something... It's content, man. Is this something where, um, they're going to prolong the, uh, tournament as long as they can and, like, save the last battle, like, for the next day or something? Or are we gonna be fighting again without having a chance to regain our healing surges? The point of it is to kind of do it all in one day. Okay. Just checking. Yeah. 'Cause if I were to give you a rest, I would have a lot of people in Group 1. Well, it's a new tournament. It's done differently. Well, let's ask Dan.
Huh? Yes? [Laughter] That, uh, like, uh, the "pooling the healing surges" thing that I heard earlier sounded a little bullshitty to me. It's a ritual. You can do it. Oh, it was part of the ritual. I thought you were just letting them all do it. Oh, hell no. Just because. No, it was the benefit of doing the ritual that I, you know, paid money to learn. Um, you missed the part in the first part of the fight where literally everybody on the table but me was dying. Yeah. So, it was rough. It was a bad fight. What we can do is pick this up again, and for the last round we have something very interesting.
So, I think that's a good time to knock it off for the night, guys. Alright. Thank you. Alright. But congratulations. Thanks. I think. Everyone's still alive. Here's where I screw over Captain Tenbolt and say, "Alright, we're done." I didn't get touched. I didn't get attacked. Yeah, um. Which is weird. White Raven recognized you and obviously weren't happy with you. They thought I was a prisoner. [Laughter] Um, Errol, do me a favor. Roll Perception. Just before we close things out. Also, I was going to ask, do they let us take, uh, Fe's mom back to our dressing room with us?
We'll handle that. Okay, okay. I'll be patient. Sixteen. What is with my Perception rolls today? I know. Usually you're a champ with that. But, um, it's mostly the crowd. You're noticing a lot of crowd response. You guys killed the spies. That's great. Yeah. The most you can gleam out of Tenbolt is he is not happy. Which I don't understand. I'm hoping that before we have our next fight he comes to have a talk with us. Well, that all depends. I know. We'll see. Um, so thank you very much guys. You have a fantastic evening. Ah, thanks. You too. Okay. Thank you, Dan. It was fun.
Hey, do we have an idea when you guys are sitting down next or? Probably next weekend I'm guessing sometime? Yeah, next weekend's good for me. That should be fine. Okay. I'm free both days. Okay. Alright, cool. So we'll line something up and I'm shh. I think Group 3A will play then. Dude, it looks like we're... I don't want to jinx this, but it looks like Group 1's gonna sit down next week. I feel bad for Group 2. I do too. On Sunday Merlin and I are going up to Portland at some point next weekend. Okay. But, so Saturday is fine and early Sunday is fine.
