Thanks for listening, and enjoy the show. Let's do that thing where we go around the table and introduce ourselves. I'm Jason, I'm the Dungeon Master. Going around the table, starting with Brian. Hey guys, I'm Brian, and I am playing a character I don't want to mention until he's introduced properly. And Xavier. Hey, I'm Xavier, I play Actaronis, the Revenant Cavalier. And Robert. Hey, I'm Robert Weisehan, I'm playing Haven Tash, Human Avenger of Aerithis. And Danielle. Hi, I'm Danielle, I play Trixie, the Drow Rogue. And James. Hey, it's James, I play Dagon, the Eladrin Sion.
And Jamie. Hello, I'm Jamie Richardson, and today we'll be playing Kori Forestkeeper. It's hard to keep it all in check when we do these back to back to back, isn't it? Plus, whenever you say James, I think you're gonna say me, so I unmute my mic really quick, and I'm like, "Oh, it's James, just kidding." Oh, him. It's that guy. God, I hate his rich baritone voice. Well, last time on the show, you guys had, well, Kori and Dagon had escaped the forest with their lives, and headed back to Lockford to regroup and talk to Patsy about what you encountered in the forest.
After Dagon nearly murdered Patsy, Haven stepped in, Haven Tash, and I don't know if I would say that he negotiated peace, but I'd like to say that he gave Dagon a chance to kind of cool off. That's fair. Yeah. On top of that, you guys met Octoronus, and the four of you decided that at the very least you should head back into the forest and try and find Trixie. To see what happened to Brandith, if she's still alive, if you can get to her, if you can rescue them and get them out. At the most, Haven would like to try and deal with this werewolf problem once and for all, for the good of the town, and it felt like the rest of the party was a little resistant to that.
I don't know if that's fair. We just need a few more hands to make the work lighter. Hmm. I'm confident you'll all come around. That silence was golden. Well, Octoronus is pretty much set on putting the priority on finding the other people, but he might be inclined to agree that this town might need some help. Well, let's pick up with you guys getting some rest and waking up the next day. You are all set to formally go back into the forest, go back into the Silver Glade and try and find your friends. Or at least find out whether they're alive or dead. Heading through town, is there anything you guys would like to do before you set off?
We've got our silver arrows. Do we still have potions? Oh, we couldn't get in here anyway, never mind. You were given some on the way out. I used one. I was about to say some of them were lost because the rest of them were on the party who didn't make it out of the forest. Yeah. So there might be some waiting for us. Here's hoping, because I have a sense that we may need them. It's early, maybe they'll be sleeping in their den. No, I thought you were talking about the town. I was like, are you going to rob someone? Well, now I might. No, that's not honorable.
Well, it is early, but wandering through town are a few scattered people. One of which appears to be a dwarf. Now, most dwarves are kind of dressed in armor and battle gear, as most dwarves are real hand-to-hand fighters. You know, weapon masters, that kind of thing. This dwarf is dressed a little oddly, and that would be where Brian comes in. Yeah. I will... I assume they're standing outside of where the inn is? Yeah, probably just kind of stretching, getting their shit together, getting ready to double-check everything. It's like, okay, okay, make sure we have those arrows, that kind of thing.
They're clearly getting ready to go do some shit. I'll walk up to the party and just kind of walk by and do that awkward thing where you're trying not to stare at a group of people, but you're going to look very obvious like you're staring at a group of people and just walk up and go, "Aye, you folks look like you're about to go do some heavy lifting, some heavy fighting. Do you mind if I join you?" Well, of course not. You're very welcome to that. I'll be honest, that's a little forward and a little sudden. I'm sorry, I don't believe I've met you yet.
I'll extend my hand out to Haven. Haven? Haven. Haven. I'll extend my hand out to Haven and just say, "Seventis Strongle. I'm a war priest, and I fancy some fighting." Haven shakes your hand and says, "It's a pleasure to meet you. I mean, certainly we could use all the help we could get, but do any of the rest of you have any concerns about Seventis here joining us?" Seventis will kind of start waving his other hand. He'll shake Haven's hand, but then just start waving out to the other people before they can speak up and just go, "Look, I got a bit of a drinking problem, and when I strolled in, I went straight to the bar, and I had some insight to what happened.
I can't really not eavesdrop on conversations, and I can't turn down a good fight." Well, if you help us, I'll make sure that Dagon here offers you many drinks when we come back. I kind of pull out my armor plate buckets and two tiny skeleton moths fly out. Can I perform... Can I roll Perception off that? Please do. Seventeen. Seventis is probably going to just look at Octoronus and just kind of raise an eyebrow. And then... Did you say you were extending your hand? Not so far, no. Okay. He'll just raise an eyebrow and make a note of that in his head, and then just look back to the rest of the party and go, "Look, I know it's not exactly a normal thing to have a guy come up to you.
Certainly not a big, strong, strapping guy like me." And he'll just pat his chest a little bit while he's speaking. But I just want to help out the best way I can. Well, that's lovely, but do you think your rampant alcoholism is going to put us at a detriment? Is it going to cause any trouble? He'll kind of reach into the back and kind of pull out a little wooden flask, take a deep swig back, and then toss it to the side and just say, "Look, no more alcohol." Haven just looks at Kori and Dagon and just like, maximum eyebrow raise. From the second that...
Is it Sevadus? Uh, Sevadus. Sevadus. Thank you. Sorry. I'm really bad with names. So the second that Sevadus approaches the party, Kori's eyes are going to go wide and she has a huge smile on her face. And when Haven gives her the eyebrow raise, she's going to step a little closer to Sevadus and say, "Come on, let the little guy come." Sevadus is going to look right at Kori after he almost breaks his neck looking up at Kori and just go, "Uh, excuse me, little guy?" She's going to respond, "You're a dwarf, aren't you?" Wow, you're definitely the perceptive one.
I've heard of your kind before. Back on the island they tell us tales of the strong weaponry of the dwarves. Well... So you're sure to be able to help us in our current quest? I can definitely help you out in more ways than one, I'll just put it that way. And he'll just kind of be stroking his beard a little bit while he's saying that. She's going to give him a noogie. Sevadus is just going to brush it off like, "Eh." Haven looks at Dagon and says, "Well, it's like someone's inherited a drinking buddy. Any objections from you?" Dagon will look at Sevadus and say, "Well, if you were eavesdropping I assume you know where we're going." "Uh, I didn't catch the whole entire conversation.
I know you're going to go fight something. You're going to go try to kill something and try to find your friends." "Have you ever fought a werewolf?" "Can't say that I have." "Have you ever fought several werewolves?" "Can't say that I have." "Well, we'll jog it up to a learning experience then." And he'll sort of grab your shoulders and turn them around and say, "After you." You're putting him in front of us? Yeah. He has to breathe himself to begin with. That's where the cleric goes. Haven looks at Dagon and goes, "Ah, an internship program. Very clever.
Tell me, Sevadus. Mention being a war priest, who do you serve?" "Olandra. I didn't exactly have the nicest upbringing with my father." "So, Olandra definitely fit the kind of person that I wanted to be when I got to be the Tinder age of 30." "The traveler, I believe, isn't she?" "Traveler, merry, plenty of food." "But the main thing is going your own way and being bold and going your own path." "Seems like a good enough attitude for adventuring." That's what I'd like to think. So it sounds like you guys are... go ahead. I was going to say Dagon will go, "Well, the path is that way.
Kindly lead us. We have people to find and werewolves to slay." "Sevedus is going to look back at Dagon and kind of look him over once. He'll gently wave his hand forward, inviting Dagon to walk up next to him and just say, 'Be my guest.'" "I shouldn't be the only one that gets to lead these fine group of people. Just kind of smirking a little bit." Well, to be fair, most of us haven't fought werewolves, so I'd suggest that all of us who haven't fought werewolves walk in front. Haven will shrug and move in front of the party. Dagon will look at Kori like, "These guys are crazy." Oh my god.
Speaking of which, I think I'd feel safer if I had one of those arrows on myself. As a failsafe, use it, improvise something with it if it comes to that. But having a little silver on us close quarter fighters might be something you might want to consider. If you have to fire 17 arrows, I think that the fight already has gone too long. How many did we grab? 20. Yeah, we put the full down payment down. Kori has no problem with that since you were the one who paid for them. They're your arrows. It's party utility. Therefore, everybody, however we see fit to divide them.
She'll hand one out to each person. Okay. So in case we need to stabby stabby. Yeah, it can't hurt to try to drive it into someone's chest. Like an EpiPen. It'll cure you. But this is two calls, a allergic reaction. Indeed. Alright, so it sounds like you guys are ready to head into the glade. Yes. Top priority is find lost party members. Alright. I feel like there's two ways to go about this. We could trace back where you came from. Just follow your own tracks from yesterday or try to go around that and see if we can stumble upon other fallen adventurers as previously mentioned.
No matter what, I think we should try to stealth. I don't know what everyone else's stealth is. I mean, mine's not very good either. But last time when we didn't stealth, it did not work out too well. I have a plus two. Well then. I like to make clucking noises like I'm a chicken when I try to go to stealth. Well, maybe you'll stay in the back then. I suggest we walk as a close unit, not a line. But if everyone could stay close to me, I would feel better prepared to help all of you. Yeah, if we kind of stay in a line and kind of... Since the two of us aren't very discreet.
I understand the nature of recommending this may seem a little self-serving, but if one of us is much more crafty and sneaky than the others, it might serve well to have that person say, "Stay a few dozen yards ahead. Stay quiet and perhaps... We should not separate. Very well. We were just given that advice when we went out the first time. Keep our eyes on the tree line and don't separate. I wasn't suggesting anything far. Just that perhaps this person might be sneaking ahead and might see trouble before trouble sees the rest of us slightly more noisy.
It's up to all of you, naturally. Safe distance ahead. I didn't know who to elect because I'm not of that persuasion. Well, I assumed to look out it would be either... Well, if it were to be me. Because I only have a +6 to stealth, but I have a high nature and perception, so being able to see what's happening would be kind of nice. Oh, but if you're not sneaky, I guess... Is no one among us, I guess... I guess the missing party member. That would be our absent party member. Let's try to just track if, Kuri, you seem to have good eyes and good knowledge of the landscape in this forest, but if you could trace back your own tracks and see where Trixie split off yesterday, that could be a good way to go.
That is a good idea. But let's stay close together then if no one is of the sneakier persuasion. I was going to say, I only have a +11 to nature, but then I only have a +2 to stealth, so... Yeah, we'll stay out of trouble. Alright, so if we're not sneaking actor on this, we'll already get shield and sword in hand. Or probably just his hand on his sword. Wait, just in case. Kuri, go ahead and roll a perception check, please. 24. 24, okay. The group is going to make their way into the Silverglade, and Kuri is going to lead the way and start to retrace the group's steps from the previous day.
And as they trek through the forest, Kuri's going to kind of keep her eyes vigilant to the treeline and listen for any noises she might hear. And you are about halfway to where you were before. Go ahead and roll another perception check, please. For everyone, or...? Nope, just Kuri. Okay. Nat 20. *quack* Kuri's going to see where... She can clearly see track both Dagon's footprints and hers, and she's going to backtrack to a point where she also sees a third set of footprints. And they would be leading to the west. And it looks like that's where the path...
That's where this person deviated. They didn't follow the same set of tracks that led out of the forest like you guys did. Perhaps in a panic, this person ran in a different direction and maybe ran further into the woods. So it's up to you if you want to follow that set of footprints, or you want to just try and track back to the glade where you were when you encountered Trevor. I'm going to try to relay this information without actually speaking. I'm going to point down at the ground to show the rest of the party the footprints, and then point towards the west where they're heading.
Haven will kneel down and take a look at them. Do they look like a big metal boot? Do they look like a slender, soft padded foot? Yeah, these look to be smaller footprints. Female, these don't look to be big and clunky. They look to be like leather boots, like something soft. Haven looks back to the party and Dagon and Corey specifically and says, "Were any of your number more dainty, smaller like this?" Dagon will say, "Yes, we had a draw with us, Trixie." And then Haven just looks at each of them and points in the direction the footprints are going and waits for a response.
Are we pro footprints or anti-footprints? Pro. I think we're pro footprints. Oh yeah. Onward! He doesn't shout that. Onward! As you trek further in, I want everyone to roll a stealth check for me please. Oh great. When you ask, it's malicious. Yeah! I did yell. What up, werewolves? Getting all up in your turf. Acronis is just gonna say, "Onwards, you said?" What about a potato salad? And then just like Haven whips around and his maul clangs into Acronis' armor and then they're just like, "Oh, oh, shh, shh, shh, shh." It's the fucking professor from Futurama. What?
Does Cory notice that they're making too much noise? Oh yes, oh yes. Can she like quickly look at the perception or nature check or something to see if anything is responding to their noise making? Roll a perception please. 31. You can hear, it sounds like it's a bit of a distance away, but something large is moving through the treeline. Fuck. And it doesn't sound like the werewolves did when they were kind of getting ready to pounce on you. It sounds slower, bigger. Seve, this is just gonna slowly reach back and pull his mace out and just kind of like stand at the ready.
Haven takes out his maul and he kind of like tries to catch Cory's eyes and he just points to one spot and holds up three fingers and then points to another spot about like 20, 30 feet away and holds up three fingers. And then he kind of makes a fist going forward and then he kind of claps both of his hands together to try to get. Is that, can people envision this and see? Is Haven a Navy Seal? He's just, there's something coming, he doesn't want to talk. Gonna have to roll an insight on that. Not sure how C'tharonis will pick up on it. No, I will. Oh, I thought I was waiting for you to actually roll.
Does Cory nod? Does Cory? I, really quickly, are we in like a wooded area or are we in this field that I think maybe all of us are seeing? You're not quite there yet. What's happening is you're kind of off the beaten path. Like you have, this is not a trail really, this is you actually kind of trekking through the thick woods. Okay, and you said that the beastie sound was coming from the west? This is actually coming from the north, from where you are. Okay, and we're headed west. Yeah, you're heading west. This isn't in the direction you're heading, but I imagine everyone just kind of stops for a second and just listens to this big, it sounds, it sounds, it's this stomping noise.
And it sounds like it's almost brushing trees aside, like you hear kind of a snap, like crackle of branches split as this thing is moving through the woods. Okay, then Cory is going to nod back at Haven and put her finger over her mouth, like telling the rest of the party, "Quiet her and continue forward." Alright, making your way a little further in, after a few moments, it sounds like that noise is moving further away after everyone just kind of stops and like is really quiet. Sounds like that noise moves just a bit further away, continues on its path.
Eventually you do come across a clearing and do me a favor, roll a perception check, Cory. 23. Huddled in the clearing, kind of tucked like near some trees, kind of backed not into a corner, but just kind of tucked away, kind of hiding, would be Trixie, who doesn't appear to be hurt, but it does look like she spent the night in the woods. So kind of disheveled, dirty looking. Is she alert, like awake? I would imagine so, it's daytime, but it does look like she's kind of resting. Oh, go ahead. No, I was just going to say, well, we've done a perception check on this area, we don't need to do another one to see if anything's like...
No, you don't see anything other than Trixie in this clearing. How far away is she? She would be about 30 yards away. So not very far at all. We don't know if maybe she got bitten either, so I think Cory would probably hesitantly start to walk towards her to see if she reacts like aggressively or... Trixie, go ahead and make a perception check, please. 12. Trixie does not spot the giant goliath moving towards her. Dagon will move up with her as well. Haven will stick with the group, the moving forward group. And I guess if we can see that she doesn't see us...
Can we do like a hushed like, Trixie? Yeah, please do. Trixie! That was bold. Nailed it. Do me a favor, roll a stealth check. Oh, it was quiet. It was not as quiet as you think it was. It was as loud as I could possibly do it. Trixie! So Dagon's really excited to see Trixie. Stella! Stella! Immediately, his eyes go wide and he immediately puts his hand over his mouth like, oops. So Trixie will jump up and draw her daggers immediately facing the sound. And then once she realizes it's them, she'll just drop her arms to her side and sit back down. This is one of the missing.
Yes, this is the drow Trixie I was speaking of. There was another elf, Baranath. Can she hear them talking? She would be, yeah, they'd be close enough now. She turns her head around and goes, she's dead too. Baranath is dead. Yeah. Are you okay? Yeah. Can we leave? I don't want to spend another minute out here. We'd like to find the bodies. There's nothing left. They were eating them as I left. If you want to go back for their gear, we can go back for their gear. But I can't imagine that that would be in good condition. I thought maybe a proper burial. What do you want to bury?
The chunks of them? Do you want to touch the chunks of them and put them in the ground? Do you want to possibly head on with the werewolves again? Be my guest. We need to at least look. If we find they're still there, then we won't pursue it. Fine. Do you at least have something to eat? I'm hungry. I'm thirsty. I've been out here all myself. Actoronus has bread stashed in his helmet. Well, I assume he ate it all. Oh, I thought it was like saving some for later. No, I mean, we were joking about that, but I was just implying it was eating it. Oh, okay. I'm sorry, Tracy.
I can't tell the line between jokers. Wait, can she see these other people? Oh, yeah, she could see them. Do we have food or drink or anything? You have rations, yeah. Okay, so Dagon will hand her some of that and say, "Trixie, we've found some more friends, we'll call them, to help us out." Do we trust these friends? Remember Gradic? Remember Gradic? They are not Gradic. They've gotten us this far. Haven steps closer and says, "Haven Tash, you must be Trixie." That's right. Hi. I heard about you from the situation with House Dragonkeep. I was eager to connect with your party.
Okay. Hi. Did she shake his hand? No, she doesn't do that. Okay. She stands up and kind of dusts herself off. So did they tell you what happened? Before our party was eaten? They told me it's been quite a harrowing experience. Sure, you can call it that. So who's this other person back here? Actor Onis will do a really, really formal bow. Really, well actually, a really accurate drow salutation. And then, Sevetus is like just looking back and forth the entire time. Everybody's just been talking really nervous-like. And just look over at Trixie and just be like, "Sevetus stronghold." And he'll just kind of awkwardly, almost a little sarcastically bow.
And just continue looking back and forth, just peering back and forth looking at the surroundings. So Trixie will look at Actor Onis and kind of raise an eyebrow and say, "Hi." And kind of imitate his bow but with no effort whatsoever. And she'll look over at Sevetus and nod. And then she will turn around and go over to Kori and give her a hug and say, "Hi." And then just kind of walk off into the treeline from where you guys came. When you hug her, Kori's going to hold onto you very tightly for just a brief second and then let you go. Haven leans over to Kori and says, "Is that about as friendly as she gets?" We've been through a lot recently.
Let her be. She'll come around. Very well. So what is the plan, guys? You're going to try and find the spot where you were... I don't want to say ambushed because you kind of knew they were coming. We were ambushed. Outro by Jason. Invitation. Is Trixie really opposed to going? She doesn't really care. She's just, she more or less, she was hungry. She was thirsty. She pretty much spent all night in a tree. She needed a Snickers bar. Yes! Believe it or not, she's very happy to see her friends. She just doesn't have the strength to even muster an abusive response other than, "Let's go." What is Trixie's weapon again?
What's your ranged weapon? A crossbow. Okay. Who's holding the arrows right now? I am. And one for each person. I'm going to dig on a look at Kory and say, "Why don't you give Trixie some of our new ammunition?" The only problem with that is, and I don't want to be a wet blanket, but crossbows use... They're not bolts, right? Yeah. She's still going to hand her one, so she has some silver. Just kind of a stabby stab. In case you get put in an awkward situation, you can just jam it in their eyeball. Or jump straight up in the air and stand there. Woo hoo! Alright.
Making your way back to the clearing. Do me a favor, everyone. Actually, right now, Kory, just roll a perception check, please. 28. Thankfully, Dagon yelling at Trixie didn't... That's the worst. There was some movement. You can hear something kind of stamping around on dry leaves out in the forest. And there's that momentary panic where you think something's coming at you, but things are alive in the forest. And sometimes it's just a bird or a squirrel or something. And you dismiss it as nothing and move on. And after a time, you're going to get back to a very familiar path that is going to lead back into the clearing where you guys fault Trevor.
Now, those of you with sensitive stomachs in the party may want to just kind of gird your loins. Kory's going to be the first one down the path and into this clearing. And the grass is slick with blood. It appears as though the only things left of Rekis and Baranath are a majority of their clothing and armor. And it looks to be bits of bone and hair. With the exception of Rekis, who was bald. There also appear to be a couple of weapons scattered about the area. Bits of possessions, some food rations, their bags, bedroll type of thing. Anything that wasn't flesh essentially is what's left over.
But this clearing is a crime scene. Now I imagine Kory is the first one through. Is this something where she's going to turn around and say, "Hey guys, just to let you know this is what you're walking into." Or is it just kind of everyone's going to trample in here? I think she would stop them, put her arm up, look back to let them know, "Okay guys, we've made it back to the clearing. Prepare yourselves for what you're about to see." And then she's going to lower her arm and let them make the decision if they want to go into the clearing or not. I'll step forward.
David will go. Yeah, I'll go. Well, that's what you're seeing. Perception check on the tree line. Or are we... 31. Beyond the grisly scene in front of you, this is the picture of stillness. It's almost eerily calming as long as you don't look at the ground. The rest of it is picturesque and still and very quiet. You don't even hear birds tweeting or anything. I mean it is stone quiet. Do we have some sort of tarp or something? We could put the remains in. Or do we bring them back for bearing? Can I say something? Yes. I have a counterproposal about the burial.
Since it will be a large task to gather up everything left of them. And by the way, I'm terribly sorry for your loss. But wouldn't it be a better way to honor their passing and will if we go forward and help this town? This is what Rikers, I believe, wanted. His will to do good. And I'm inclined to agree with Haven now that I see this. It's foolish to think that we can solve Lockford's issue on our own. But I believe if we take care of the pack, this could be the crutch the town needs to stand up on its own. And solve the problem on their own afterwards.
And if you want to do something about your friend's passing, I will help you. I know what I want to say. But I'm scared. Fear nothing, Dagon. For you have a rush of our night with you now. Things will change. Kanna puts his hand on your chin. Look up. He's so motivational. Thank you, Mr. House. Sevanus is going to slowly start wiping the tears from his eyes. Dagon will look at the group. I think we should grab everything that we can use and hunt them down. Then we build them a memorial of fur and blood. Let's go. I just want to say I don't advocate revenge. I think it's a terrible waste of energy.
But in this particular situation, I think we should do something like that. No one else should have to go through this. Vengeance or not, order demands they be put down. It is best. Sevanus has just kind of kept looking around a little bit and trying to stomach just the whole view and what he's seen. Then he'll look over at Dagon and just go and he'll start pointing his finger and just look at him and go, "You're going to owe me a lot more beer than I originally was going to ask if we're getting to a situation like this." And then he's just going to crack this goofy grin on his face.
Dagon will throw you a banquet. Dagon's going to look to Actaronis and be like, "What the fuck, man?" I'm going to smile, but you don't know. All right. I suppose we should see if everyone's OK with this idea. The second the idea is proposed, Kori's going to look straight at Trixie to gauge her reaction, because she's been out in the forest all day and night. Trixie's going to drop her head down and then as she looks up, roll her eyes and go, "Damn newbies, were we this bad in the beginning?" And then just start stomping off to collect their stuff. She is most badass.
She'll look back at Kori and be like, "Where did you find these people?" Kori's going to give a little half-chuckle and then become very serious and say, "If we're going to do this, we need to do it the right way this time." So you mean not running in and saying, "Hi, we're here?" I think that's wonderful. Every blow targeting the pack leader? Yes. And we need to go to them. We can't let them come to us and surround us. In the event we can find them resting, perhaps we can put the silver into the leader before the battle even begins. That would be an excellent advantage.
Trixie looks over at Haven. "Really? Really? We have a tree with us. A tree. Ginormous tree." "Sorry, Kori. But not exactly quiet." Question, Jason. Yes. Do we know... I'm whispering. God, it's been my tear up. Okay, sorry. Do we know if Trevor is permanently werewolf? No, you don't. Okay. That's all I wanted to know. I suppose this calls for Kori to take a look around, see if she can track which way they left from here. I guess so. All of the blood. Well, go ahead and... well, actually, would you like to take a look around first and see what exactly weapon wise was left behind?
Mm-hmm. Yeah. That sounds great. Looking around, Kori is going to see Ragus's old hammer, the lullaby. The lullaby. Aww. You're going to see kind of a gnarled staff. That almost looks to be chewed on, though. Almost as if it were like a bone or something that were gnawed on. Toothpick. Oh! And you're also going to see an elven bow, which would be Ialurina, Baranath's old bow, which loosely translates to the water's edge, which is an elven pun. And that is the only thing of value left of your former party members. Is our faeroot gone? I would... you do not see it.
I'll put it that way. And the dragon horn thing is gone? Horn of Summoning? Yeah. Doesn't appear to be there. Is everything still there? I'm asking the group, do you see everything there? Or has something gone missing? The weapons are here. There are things that are missing. The Horn of Summoning. And I suspect there may be other weapons back in the supposed lair. Maybe more silver weapons that they brought back with them. Trophies. Perhaps. We mentioned a moment ago that most of us were too loud, but Trixie, you can move quietly, right? Yes. And Haven goes over and picks up the bow and he looks at Trixie and says, "Maybe you can make that opening shot that will tip the battle in our favor.
If you can tiptoe to the right position." I can try. Only in the event that they're sleeping. If they're awake, we do something else. Okay. And what are you going to do? Charge them with everything I have the moment that arrow is first. What is it that you have? What do you bring to our group that they just picked you up off the street and brought you here? Well, first of all, he hefts like a giant two-handed maul in front of him. And he says, "I'm blessed with the holy powers of Aerithis. Her divine powers guide my every strike and protect me. They have not seen me in combat yet, but I assure you, I am capable." Trixie looks him up and down and says, "You listen here.
Rheekus and Braneth were a very valuable part of our group. You will not take their place. If you will help us avenge their memory, then so be it. But don't try to be a damn hero. You saw where that got Rheekus." Cooperation is the only path to success here. I don't plan to try to be a lone wolf. Trixie just rolls her eyes and walks off. Haven just kind of looks back at the rest of the party and is like, "You see this?" Like, he's just like, that's the look he's sending back. She's not a good move, guys. Most badass. Is she, like, is Trixie walking off to go do what was said to be- No, she's going to rummage through body parts to see if there's anything else.
Okay, uh, seven is- She's actually looking for anything that she could, like, hold onto. She's looking for something of Rheekus's that she could hold onto, like, a memory, so to speak. So she's just, she's irritated and sad all at the same time. Uh, Seven is just going to walk past Haven and just kind of pat him on the back and, uh, uh, and he'll just look at Haven and just go, "You're not one with the women, are you?" And before he says anything, he just is going to keep walking and just, like, gingerly start walking towards Trixie. Um, and he'll lean down towards Trixie as she's rummaging through and, uh, just look at Trixie's face and just go, "Look, obviously it's a real crappy situation.
I can't even begin to understand what you're going through right now." Just, just me personally seeing this amount of blood and this amount of carnage is definitely not, not what would be satisfying to me, but outside of the poet back there trying to woo you with his words and get you to do something, what I can promise you is this. We're gonna write this. We need to write this. So what we need you to do is try to do this and while I can try to put it as eloquently, uh, as, uh, like, the poet back there tried to, um, I can promise you this, and he'll just kind of pull out his mace and start, like, kind of, like, gently patting it against his hand, I want to hit something.
And I want to hit it hard. Look, I apologize. I don't know if you know what it's like to spend all night smelling the blood of your dead friends, and I don't know what ties you have to our group or what you are looking for, or even why you're here, but if you're going to help us, then thank you. Just please don't try to be a damn hero. And then she goes back to looking for her stuff. Or whatever stuff she's looking for. Sevetys will just kind of, like, nod, I guess, and then walk back towards the rest of the group. And Actaronus will say, "Do not worry about that, Miss Trixie.
I come from a long lineage of heroes. I have this down." She walks in because you're lucky I like to hear you talk. Why? Thank you. Okay, here's what I'm going to do. I'm going to update new Cori to the table, because I imagine she's eventually going to get that bow. I imagine. Probably. Once this is all over, Trixie will give it to her. Because she doesn't want it. Trixie does not want it. Can you shoot regular arrows with that bow? You can. Because it doesn't have a drawstring though, right? Well, it does once you place your hand where the drawstring would go.
If you don't have anything in your hand, then it'll draw like a water arrow. Well, does it work for anyone? Yes. Okay. I didn't know if she had some special connection to it where she's like, "Oh, it works for her." And then I grab it and it's like, "Pfft." Would I be that cruel? Yes. Is that a question, Jeez? Did you really just not give us how many werewolves? And say, "There's always a way out, guys." There is. Running is a viable option. And you made it very clear that they run faster than we do. That doesn't seem like a viable option. This is the first time on the show we try.
We got this, guys. I'm just saying, you don't have to be the fastest, just faster than everyone else in your party. You just have to be faster than the slowest person, that's all. What's my speed? What's my speed? Trixie's gonna go get hopped up on goofballs and then she'll come back and fight. Because Trixie is also wielding a bow, Cory wants to give her more arrows now. Leaving Cory with how many arrows? Well, there was five already, so she had fifteen, so she will give her six more. And so do each of us have one? The rest of us? Mm-hmm. Yes. So that leaves Cory with seven, Trixie with seven.
Am I doing math wrong? Yeah, if you had fifteen to start with and you gave me seven. No, we had twenty to start with. Okay. So that leaves thirteen. Eight each. That leaves Cory with three, right? Here's the way I see it. Cory has eight, Trixie has eight, the other four each have one. Eight plus eight plus four equals twenty. Awesome. I was up till a little late last night, so my brain has been off for most of the day. And this math lesson has been brought to you by Dungeons & Randomness. Damn, our group three session just got canceled. Damn, damn, damn. Why? What happened?
Uh, Bree can't do it Friday. We'll work one in. It's all good. Izzy's out of town this weekend, so... Just putting it out there. I'm free almost any day during the week. Sometimes. Oh, you want to be on group three? No. Group two needs more air time. Supergroup. I feel like the podcast has been pretty rotten with content lately. I don't think we need to worry that we're missing a session here. Well, it's plate spinning. I like to get equal time for all the groups. So I'm trying to balance that. Group two did not have a lot of time there for, because you know, everyone had stuff.
I know, I know. I'm not trying to cheat you. I'm getting group two greedy, okay? Okay. What we're saying is in the plate spinning competition, we're the fine China, so let us do our thing. Every group says that. You know that? So, you are going, you're going werewolf hunting. Yeah, I guess so. I don't like when you say that. Is there a stealthier way about this that I could help, given that my stealth rolls may be good? Uh, if you'd like, Kory, sit on your back. Cover yourself in something so you don't smell like you. I am not covering myself in poop. It doesn't have to be poop.
What else would it take? We all say poop because that sounds really funny when we say poop. Poop! Technically, Trixie smells more like the woods than you guys do. That's true. Because I've been in them all night, yeah. Yeah. She also smells like her friend's blood. Oh. That's nasty. Wait, didn't I get out of there before that happened? Uh, you were there during the mauling. During the mauling with Ricus, but I wasn't near him. No, you were... Your...Braneth was knocked down near you. You had to skirt her body to get out of the... Oh, there's that. Okay. Okay. It was like an old Gallagher show.
Okay. Kory, do me a favor, roll a nature check. Twenty-five. So Kory's going to take what she knows about these werewolves. And what you guys have encountered so far. And she is going to do her very best to track these things. And it is going to lead you through some very thick woods. So, uh, in a second, I'm going to ask everyone to roll a stealth check. Yay! After a while, uh, Kory picks up the trail of these wolves. After they left that clearing, it appears as though they were bounding back towards a destination. And it looks like it's the same direction they came from when they attacked you.
So they appear to have some kind of stomping grounds. You guys are going to come up on another clearing. This one is surrounded by heavy woods, though. So this is kind of, uh, kind of a little oasis in the middle of this forest. It would be very difficult to find if you were looking for it. And, uh, just kind of one of those things that you've stumbled upon. Everyone, do me a favor as you are on the edge of the treeline, roll a stealth check. 25. 17. Alright, alright. 26! I'm a giant and I'm so silent! 10 is good, like double digits. That's got to count for something.
I want it known that I have a plus 2 for stealth. And I got a 17. Good job. I'm wasting all my crits, though. You were almost kava for a second there. Oh, sorry, I, yeah. You're starting to become attached to that voice. A little bit. You're getting lost in the character, Jamie. Spread your damn legs! God, that was the worst. I'm your sister! That's it? Do me a favor, Cory, and roll a perception check. 29! From the edge of the woods, you are peering into this clearing and you do see Trevor. And you do see the pack. And it would appear as though you would have them kind of unawares.
Except for the fact that both Haven and Dagon stepped on some very loud branches. And as they snap and crackle beneath them, Trevor's going to look up, give a howl, and start bounding towards the treeline that you guys occupied. I'm so scared. Can Trixie quickly pull out her bow and arrow? You absolutely can. They are far enough away that you will get one shot. Okay. What shot do I do to make sure it hits? You are going to make a ranged basic attack. With whatever magic bonus the bow has, too, and whatever proficiency bonus the bow provides, so make sure you get that math, too.
Let's see here. Could we, like, throw a stone, like, off somewhere? Throw your arrow. I'm trying to throw you. Hold on a second. You have a ranged basic attack. You'll be doing a D20 plus 14. And then if you can hold the shot until he gets within 50 feet, Haven will let you roll two dice and take the higher one. But it's a D20 plus 17 for my ranged base attack. It means basic attack. Rob, do you have the math yet? Yeah, the D20 plus 17 assumes you're using a dagger because you get all kinds of dagger bonuses, but you are looking at only plus 14 with the bow.
Fine. Whatever. But I'll let you roll twice, so it's really unlikely that you'll miss. I roll twice? I'm going to use the power to let you. Oh. Yeah. If this one isn't good, right? Say again? You said you're only going to do that power if this roll isn't good, right? Well... You kind of have to call it. Let me see if I have to call it. Let me see how it's phrased. Define Guidance. Oh, I have to make that guy my Oath of Independence target first. Shoot. I can't trigger it until I've done my Oath on him. Minor Action. So we'd have to basically Ready Actions for when he closed within...
Ah, but I can't do two actions as a Ready Action. Um... I can't activate it just yet. Um... Okay. I'm looking for other plans. So what were you saying if I could hold the shot? What was that all about? That was, uh... If... I thought I could lose this power before I did my Oath, but I have to do my Oath, which takes another action. So that's going to be neat. Um... Alternately, can we already in action just cut loose with our ranged attacks on this guy when he gets within 50 feet? As our first action of the battle? Well, the problem is you didn't get the jump on him, so that would be like a surprise round.
Right. You did the opposite of get the jump on him. Mm-hmm. Okay. Um... So yeah, it's just gonna be your shot. I mean, that's all there is to it. I don't get any bonuses at all besides my D20+14. D20+14 is the math that I've seen. But the good news is you don't have to wait until he is within 10 squares. You can fire at him as soon as he enters within 20 squares. Yeah. 'Cause it's a longbow. Ooh. Okay, so should I roll? Okay, let's do this. Put your character right in this general vicinity here. Mine? Uh, all of you. Oh... Cat's kinda out of the bag now. Wait... If I wanted to do what Trixie's doing and have a pre-attack with my bow thing too, would I be allowed to do that, or is that just gonna be one of us?
Um, one of you. Okay. One of you will have time. Psst. Here's a suggestion. Get within five squares of me, 'cause I'm gonna pop off, uh, where is it? Uh, is it Shield of Fate? Yeah, I'm gonna pop off, uh, Shield of Fate, which is a close- We're all within five squares right now. Okay. That's a pretty good area. You get closer. Fine! The bow guy's- Yeah, I was gonna be there. Ah, okay. I'll move back over here. Oh, god dang it! I'm there. Done. Not moving anymore. Getting a little cozy there. Yeah, it's the height difference. Corey likes little people. She's talked about it.
Yeah. She's like, "By the way, one of my quirks, little people." Okay, are you ready for me to do this? Uh, we are. I'm so scared. Keep your fingers crossed. Uh, you know, you take a negative two, I believe, if you're firing from that range, or you can wait 'til he gets close. I, uh, the long range penalty is, uh, 21 to 40 squares. 21 to 40? Okay, my bad. That's why I said 20, 'cause we don't want a penalty. Okay, ready? Go ahead. Oh, god, no! Can I do it again? Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. Oh, wow. That is a crit mess. This isn't going well. That's not- Wait, that's not what I rolled.
That's not what I rolled. Team, we've got two people with eight arrows apiece, both of which can make ranged attacks 'til one hits, and then the regeneration's toast. We're gonna be fine. Alright, here's what's going to happen. Uh, Trixie is going to let an arrow fly from IEL Arena, and it is going to go massively wide. Um, perhaps due to the fear of the situation, uh, Trevor is going to continue to bound towards this party, and the pack will follow him. Everyone, please roll initiative. No! I don't wanna. This is the third session in a row that I will be fighting werewolves.
Oh my god. Oh my god, are you f- Is Sevedis having really freaky deja vus? In a previous life. This is going pretty terrible so far. My heart hurts. Nothing happened yet, you guys. You don't understand. You don't realize how much of a jerk Jason can be. We love you, Jason. You don't understand. Um, Xavier, let me explain this. Um, you ever adopt a dog from the pound that's been beaten so badly it just flinches at everything? Yeah. That's kinda what group two is. Jason has hit them really hard for a year. Yeah. We no longer trust the DM. Oh. He's like, "Would I do that to you guys?" "Of course you would.
Stop giving him ideas." Proposal, guys. Let the wolves close the gap. Everyone delay until Trixie and Cory can each fire another silver arrow and try to hit Trevor and cut his regeneration. And then we all just go immediately after Cory and Trixie. Can I still fire off Shield of Faith? Like, if you wanna take your full turn. I mean, that's a thing that would definitely help us if shots go awry. So... I would let him...everyone else can delay and he can shoot that off and that way we should protect it if this plan fails somewhat. Okay. Just as a backup to stay closer real quick.
I'm going last. Hey, I'm right there with ya. It's okay. Oh god. The two people who can shoot the wolves to keep them from regenerating are going last. We got this. Let's hope one of the werewolves is dumb enough to hit a tree and knock over the other ones. Yeah. Turns into a three-stew just moving. Dumb puppies! We ready here, guys? Don't giggle, Jason. I'm sorry. I wish you all of the luck. Bullshit. Your sarcasm is noted. Jerk. Trevor's gonna go first. Can you guys hear him smiling? Just wanna point that out. You can hear him smiling. Trevor's gonna go first. I submit to you.
You've seen me in person. You've seen me in photos. I don't smile. I grimace more than anything. Now you smile. Oh yeah, you do. Yeah, we don't hear it. Yeah, you smile. Even beneath that big burly beard of yours, we know you're smiling. That little doctor evil hand twitch. Yes. Even though you pace in the middle of the room, you're like, "I'm happy." Trevor's going to move eight spaces forward. And he is going to get... He's running on all fours towards Trixie. And he is going to use Pounce and Claw. He is going to shift forward four spaces. One, two, three, four.
And Pounce at Trixie to try and knock her down. That's Actaronis? Yeah. Can he reach her? Oh, my bad. That's just four. Shit. So Actaronis, I guess. All right. Yes, paladin's doing what paladins do. Well met. That is going to miss Actaronis. I will deftly deflect his attack with my shield. Okay, I'm sorry. When you talk, it reminds me of Dracula and it makes me very happy. Gary Oldman? No. Can he be cool Dracula? No, he is cool Dracula. He's better than Gary Oldman. Let's see here. These guys are going to have to close the gap. One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight.
Get up in Corey's face. Roll for number four. But he gets two moves? Six, seven, and well, he didn't use a standard attack, so yeah. Five, six, seven, eight. Fuck. Eight. Werewolf number two. Eight. Actaronis, your turn. All right. Well, it's your first bit of combat, isn't it? Yeah. Let me figure this all out. Take your time. Good luck. Okay, so first up, I'm going to shift right above Trixie. Let me use my... Okay. Shift here. I'm going to use a miner on Corey, which is called... All right, here it is. Miner action. Close burst five, so one, two, three, four, five. Corey is there.
I'm going to... Bond of protection. Until the end of the encounter, the target gains a plus two bonus to all defenses and a plus five bonus to endurance checks. In addition, whenever the target takes damage, I can reduce that damage by five as a free action, and I take five damage if I do so. So that's on Corey. Thank you. You're welcome. And I'm going to shout at the werewolves. If there is still some humanity left in you, please forgive the brutal pain that this car blade is about to inflict upon you. And he's going to draw the... Well, I guess he already had it.
So his copish is coated in kind of a purple translucent flame, and he is going to unleash Thundering Smite on number four. So that would be... D20 plus 15. How do I just click the dice? Yeah, you click the little attack die, and then click on the target you're after, and then another little window will pop up and you click that die. So I guess I don't have other bonuses yet? Not yet? Not yet. Okay, cool. So let's roll. That'll hit. All right. So he's going to take a 3d8 plus seven, and also my scar blade does 1d6 fire damage once per turn when I hit. And also each enemy within two squares of the target falls prone.
Oh, wow. So let's do that. First damage, just roll here. Click. So it's 14 plus the 1d6 fire damage. And also... So just roll a 1d6 and it'll do it. Roll. Woo! It's also good to note that... Let me read the description of Scar Blade. Wounds created by the scar blade leave ragged ashen scars even when healed by magic. The weapon emits red sparks and leaves black scorch marks when it hits. Oh, wow. So, okay, yeah. Fucking beautiful. He doesn't like using it unless needed. And... No, okay. No action point just yet. That's it. Other people play now. Doesn't that mean that number two and Trevor fall prone?
They did. They did? Okay. Also, every enemy adjacent to me takes minus two on their attacks if they don't attack me. And like any, like the marked rules, if they don't attack me or shift, they take some radiant damage. Which is modified by my charisma, but little secret. My paladin has plus zero charisma. So I do three damage. Werewolf number five is going to move up to Actaronis. Avedis, your turn. I'm going to pop off Shield of Faith, so everybody remember you have plus two to your AC until the end of the encounter. Oh, nice. And that's it. No shift or anything?
Um, I will shift that way. Haven, your turn. Delay until after Kory. Okay, Werewolf number three. So you're getting a good, like, the one thing is that they all do go before you, but they had to close the gap, so they're spending their turns getting near you. Yes. Hello. It looks like they've chosen their target. Dagon, your turn. Question. Did that werewolf have enough movement to... Oh, I guess he did. Yes. Never mind. Yep. Um... I would never try to cheat you, Rob. I guess I will delay as well. That was the plan, right? Yep. Okay. Oh, um, I guess it's maybe too late for that.
I'm sorry, Dagon. The kobesh is a brutal weapon, and I can reroll any wand that I roll, and I rolled two wands on my attack roll previously. Just saying. You can fire your bow off, Trixie, but you'll take an opportunity attack from every adjacent enemy. If you do, I would shift back one and fire. You won't be able to hit Trevor from where you're standing. Okay. Sadly. Trixie, your turn. Okay. Do allies provide cover from ranged attacks? No, not that allies just... Well, I mean, your enemy's allies do, but your allies, they don't give any cover. Right, but I was technically thinking she's got...
Even if she shifts back, she's got a straight shot through Arcturonus' square to Trevor. It's a diagonal, but diagonals are treated just like straights. She can do that. Okay. Yeah. So I could hit Trevor? You could if you shift back one. Yeah. And you'll be firing through Arcturonus' square, which makes it a fair shot. Yeah. Okay, do we want me to do that, or should I try to shoot for three, I guess? Since they're really not shooting, but like, attack three. All attacks. Okay. So then I just do a ranged attack? Just a d20 plus 14 after I move? Yeah. Okay. That a girl!
Damn! That will hit Trevor. And then what's the attack? Like, what's the damage? This will be with the... Let me see, with the new bow here. Just roll a 3d8. That is not going to match up with the math in the book. Don't even bother looking it up. I'm putting the book down. That's what I have for it. Yeah. Okay, 17. Let's have Jason knew. See, this is where I never get any credit. The math I give you for damage is way higher than what the book would give you. 17 damage to Trevor, and that silver is going to get lodged in his shoulder. He will no longer be able to regenerate as long as it's in him.
And also until save ends, he is going to take 10 damage each turn. Can I action point and do it again? You sure can. You can't pause 10 ongoing twice though. No. No, but just the damage again. Okay. Yeah. Okay. Hold on. Wait, wait, wait. Is there a chance he can pull that arrow out of himself? Oh yeah, he can shake it off. But the regeneration is repressed for a full day, right? Right. Yes. Yeah. That's what we discovered. Okay. Okay, Trixie's gonna raise her bow again and smile like you dirty fucking mutt and shoot again. Probably not as good this time, but hey, she tried.
Still, that one is going to fly wide. Into number four. I love disgusting. Is there a fly wide? Because it's gonna hit three or four, right? Come on, throw me a bone here, Jason. I'm afraid not. He got your badass for a shot. It went high. I like what you did there because they're dogs and you said throw me a bone. Ba-dum-bum. All right. What are we asking here, Xavier? Oh, he was asking about rerolling his ones for the brutal weapon damage. Is that what you're talking about? I think you're muted. I'm muted. Yeah. The brutal weapon allows me to reroll once and since I rolled two ones on that roll, I could get two eights.
Is it too late? He's new. Reroll for the... It's his first battle. I know. I know. I know. Go ahead. Thank you. All right. So first D8. Oh, boy. Let me clear this. Just a D8. Okay. So a two. One more damage. And the next one. A seven. So let me adjust the math from before. In the future, you won't be that nice. It will never happen again. Everybody gets one. Okay. And the people delaying, do they want to wait until after Corey or jumping in right up to Trixie? Rob was after Corey. I'll stick with the original plan of going after Corey. That's fine. Okay. Corey, your turn. Now...
I know. I know what you're going to say. Wait a tick. These guys can only take one opportunity attack per turn, right? Yes. So, I mean, Corey, if you want me to go first, I'm actually planning to provoke so I could soak this guy's opportunity attack and then you could get wide to fire whatever you wanted. Oh, yes, please. Because all of my attacks are ranged and I was like, I can't move anywhere. I can't attack. Okay. So slip me in before Corey. Okay. And then, canonically, by the way, Trixie, are you going to toss this bow Corey's way? Yes. Okay. So as a miner, we'll just do that.
I know people at fucking home are going to yell about that, but they'll get over it. Corey had a bow. She does, but she doesn't have that bow. Remember, Trixie doesn't want it. She did it to get her one shot in and that was it. Haven, your turn. Okay. Haven provokes and Wolf won. Wolf won is going to claw at Haven. That is a crit. That is a way to start out. Why did I let you do that? 29 damage. Because the poet asked for it. He still has more hit points than me. That's true. And me, so okay. Let me do what I do. Wait, we have a new pin cushion? Yes. So happy. Haven's going to declare his oath of enmity on Trevor and say, order demands your blood.
So now this guy's my oath target, which means every time I attack him, let's see. Okay. When I attack the target and the target is the only enemy adjacent to me, like so, I get to make two attack rolls and use the better result. In that case, I'm going to use strength of many, which is daily plus two bonus to damage for each ally within two squares of me, which counts. Oh, that's not many people. Maybe that's not what I want to do. Okay. Actually scratch that one. Okay. Okay. Instead. Yeah, we can do better than that. Let's do oath of pursuit. So I'm going to roll the attack twice and use the better result.
Why is that one creature? I have to click the creature. That's right. Yeah. And then plus two for flanking. So that's the first attack, which whiffed, which is why we're glad we get two. That will hit. That's much better. So two weapon plus wisdom. So 46 plus seven plus an additional one for center of unity. So do, do, do, do. Well, let me modify the damage roll before it does it to seven. There we go. Okay. So plus one on there and then, okay. I think that's all the bonuses I'm cooking over right now. So let's do that. 19 damage to Trevor. 19 damage. And until the end of the encounter, if the target moves on its turn, I can shift three squares at the end of the target's turn as an opportunity action.
And I can, I must end this movement closer to the target. Then while we've got the whole regeneration thing repressed, actually, I'm not going to action point just yet. That'll be the end. Okay. You were going to slam Trevor in the back of his fucking head. It's hammer time. Oh. I'll be noted. Corey, your turn. All right. Yeah, I'm not muted. Awesome. So I hate to be that guy. I just looked up the rules for opportunity attacks. And Rob, that was an old three point five rule. They seem to, it's just once per other combatant's turn. But like you can, you can take any number during a round.
Hold up, hold up, hold up, hold up. Opportunity is true. I was thinking about that. I think that is true. I think we should forget about it. Corey's nature is so high. Can she go into the tree line? It's like I'm playing with Izzy again. What the hell? I just, it doesn't hurt to ask. That's all. I know. No, no, no. Let me read, let me read this verbatim. A creature can take no more than one opportunity action on each turn and cannot take an opportunity action on its own turn. The most common opportunity action is the opportunity attack. Right, but now it's not your turn.
It's a new turn. Yeah, turn is on one person's turn, but round is the whole loop on your own. Opportunity action every turn. Okay, I feel like I don't remember that being the case, but. Yeah, unless they change, unless they rule that differently, but I have the original Player's Handbook, fourth edition. That's what it says. Okay, so we're wrong. Go for it. So sorry. It's okay. Uh, well, then I guess I'm gonna have to take an opportunity attack because I need to move in order to attack. You got this. Now I need to figure out where I'm going, because before I knew where I was going.
You can't shoot him from where you are? No. She can, but she'd take an opportunity attack anyway. Yeah, exactly, so I might as well move. Um. Go. Go. Go. Oh my god, why is this? That's not the way she actually goes, but you know what I mean. Say, that's a geometry problem. Uh, he's going to claw at you. That's gonna miss, so you're good. Ahh. Shazam, you're fine. Awesome. And I am calling it right now. I assume that I need to call feats if I'm going to use them in case it doesn't work. Uh, feats are usually just something you get. Alright, ranged basic attack against number one with my silver arrow-ness.
Miss. Oh, that sucks. Okay, markings of the victor. I get to roll twice for the first attack roll of each encounter. Are you freaking kidding me? Okay, inevitable shot. Oh. You miss a creature with a ranged attack is the trigger. You make a ranged basic attack against an enemy within five squares of the creature you missed using that creature's space as the attack's origin square. Okay, so basically you've given up saying, "Fuck it, new guy!" Pretty much. So number three. Number three. Are you? Rage quit, bye. Put the arrows in the bow. Were you shooting at Trevor or the other werewolves?
The other werewolves. Oh, sorry to bring up something. I thought she was aiming towards Trevor and I was like, "You shot one, one, and three." Yeah, no. That's what she was going for. I am so sorry. Dagon? Yes. Do it to it, sir. I'm going to move first off. One, two, three, six. And I am going to first use Ego Whip. Standard action, rage 10 versus Will. Target takes a -2 penalty to attack rolls and a -2 penalty to all defenses until the end of my next turn. I'm attacking Trevor, of course. Hit. Yay! There's a hit. 1d10 plus 5 damage. 8 damage. So he gets those penalties too.
And I'm going to pop my action point. And I'm going to use Mental Trauma. Standard action, rage 20 versus Will. If I miss, he at least gets half damage here. Hit. So 5d10 plus 10. 41 damage. Good lord. That's the way. Trevor's head explodes. Are you done, sir? I'm done. Alright. I think it's time we take these kid gloves off, guys. Trevor's turn. Or... Alternatively... We should take the Mickey Mouse gloves off. Trevor is going to stand up. And he is going - when I say stand up, I mean on his haunches - whip around, look at Haven, and just towering over him is going to roar directly into his face.
Spittle and just gore from the previous meal he's eaten is just flying out of his mouth. He's going to rear back as a minor action and use Savage Howl. Close press 10. Each ally in the burst gain 15 temporary hit points. In addition, each ally can shift up to three squares and make a bite attack as a free action. *sigh* I don't believe that. It's happened before. I'm not a kid. Did he take the 10 damage for the arrow stuck in his... He absolutely did. I'm taking it off right this second. He can't regenerate. Let me give these 15 10 hit points to his boys. You get attacked, don't forget you have +2 to your AC as well.
Yeah, so now I'm 26 right now. And 15. Alright, so. 1, 2, 3. And let's start making bite attacks at Haven. That'll hit. 19 damage. Haven has been bitten. Werewolf number 4 is going to shift up. He's going to take 3 radiant damage. 3 radiant damage to werewolf number 4. He is going to make a bite attack at Haven. That will miss. Werewolf number 5. 3 damage? 3 damage. He is going to make a bite attack against Haven. That will hit. Is that including all of their +2 for AC because of Cookie's thing? Let's see here. Sevedus's thing? That's a 29 and a 31. It wouldn't matter.
Yeah. Uh, let's see. What about the one where it's 3d10, this is 4+2+3+10=19. Oh that's the damage. That's damage, yeah. There. 3 damage? I love you so much. Bite attack against Haven. +2 because flanking, that is a hit. I will use an Immediate Interrupt. Okay. Righteous Shield and Counterpower. Immediate Interrupt, close burst 3. Yep. Triggering Ally and the burst. You take the damage instead of the triggering attack. Reading the same line twice. This damage ignores my immunities and resistance. In addition I gain +2 power bonus to attack rolls until the end of my next turn.
So I take that damage. Alright. So Haven is still at 9 hit points and taking 25 away from Actoronus. Let's see here. The other werewolf is going to stand up and just make a bite attack against Actoronus because he can't shift. Alright. So this probably won't be fun. I doubt he'll get through your armor. And no, he did not get through your armor. Let's finish up Trevor's turn. Man. Oh man. Trevor is going to use Claw. He gets to attack on top of that? Oh that was a minor. Yeah, I tried to warn you about these fucking werewolves dude. She just puts her head down and just says "not again".
He's just going to use a Claw attack against Haven. That is going to miss. Crit won. He's going to also take 3 radiant damage because he didn't attack me. 3 radiant damage. Let's see if he's going to save. He does not save from the damage he takes. Werewolf number 1's turn. Oh man, this is turning ugly already. Turn them into puppies or something. A babality. Yeah. Reaction, Corey's making a silly face at number 1 so he doesn't attack. Well, we'll see if this is the shortest lived character in D&R history. Oh my god, this is happening again. Well you made it 2 sessions.
Well, we'll see if they try to do a fatality on me. I mean, I'm dropped, but... That's what they do though. That's kinda what they do. Well, don't let them live. Yeah, we'll try our hardest. Okay, oh god, Haven is down. Oh man, Werewolf number 4 is going to bite down at Haven. Miss! What? 24. Oh god, no. We were supposed to have this. What happened? Rob, I am so, so sorry. Eh, I was asking for it. Um, it's not over yet. Werewolf number 2 is going to claw at Actoronus. That is a crit. Alright, well my full plate armor negates the first crit of the encounter. Oh, cool, there you go, that's a spot of luck guys.
Oh shut up. So is he dead? No, he's not dead yet. Okay. He is just barely clinging to life. I've got until -41. And he right now is at -33. One more solid bite would probably kill him. Actoronus, your turn. You need to stop 5. Well, if any kind of healing gets off, I heal back up from 0. That's true. So Actoronus is going to see that Haven just fell and will yell encouraging words and say like, "Show me the power of your goddess, Haven!" And he will use Inspiring Word. It's a daily for me. So you regain - you spend a healing surge and you regain 2d6 additional hit points.
That's the ticket. So 2d6 plus 7. So that was a minor. So surge plus - my surge value is... You could just spend a surge on the table, you know. Oh, that's right. How do I - how do I... You hit the plus next to your very empty health bar. Use surges. Yep, and then add 7 as a bonus. Okay, sweet. Malchus never has to use surges, so... You're up to 27, hey! Don't you dare run. We got this, you guys. Alright, I'm - Really? Do you? I'm going to shift 1 right here. I will use my encounter power, Chilling Smite, on Trevor, which is against Fortitude. I don't get any bonuses.
Trevor. So let's roll this. Oof. Oh, that's too bad. And I'm going to use my action point now. What attack were you using again? Chilling Smite. Yeah, Chilling Smite. Oh yeah, it's half damage. And it has an effect, still. If it's a daily, I'll help you out. Oh, it is. Divine Guidance, immediate interrupt. Re-roll it. Alright. Well, you doubled your roll. Yeah, I've heard that before. Alright, well, thank you, Haven. And I will use my action point to unleash the fury of the Scarblade. So, standard action. I strike the ground in front of me. And let me read this. Striking the ground with the sword creates a crevasse.
One square wide, five squares long, and up to two squares deep, beginning in the square you strike, and extending in a straight line away from you. Any creature that is entirely in the affected area must save or fall in the crevasse. Oh, wow. So, well, it is a sword. It was a great prized possession of my family. So, I guess I don't roll anything. You just... So, wait a second. Okay. So, this is going out from you this way? Yeah, five squares. So, this could end the fight. Well, they're going to fall prone ten feet down the hill. Ten feet below. Right. But still, very cool.
So, Trevor's going to try and save. Ah! We'll save. Werewolf 3 is going to try and save. He does not. So, Werewolf 3... Let's actually do this. So, we can... Five squares? Yeah. Boom. So, that is a crevasse, guys. Don't fall in the crevasse. Anything else? Yeah, just an effect from my failed daily. Trevor is going to take minus five to his attacks until the end of his next turn. Shit! To his damage, not attacks. Oh, okay. Sorry. I was about to say that. He's basically blind. Werewolf number five. Hmm. So, Trevor didn't fall in there? No. So, I guess he moved to an adjacent square.
Is that considered hindering terrain? Oh. It's actually a hole, so it's... Yeah, I guess so. Okay. Yeah. Werewolf five is going to bite down at Haven. That's going to miss. Nice. Sevedus, your turn. Okay. Just... Should I try to get Haven more health, or can I try to hit Trevor since he's in my face? Can you heal from a distance? Like, with a burst? I'm just... I'm skimming over stuff. If I don't... If I try to heal and I have something... How many actions do you have? Yeah, I think you should heal Haven. Well, yeah, it's probably a minor action that heals in a burst, so it doesn't provoke.
Whatever you have is probably that. Um... Healing Word, maybe? Yeah. I can do... And that's an encounter, minor action, close burst five. But it's an encounter that you have twice as a leader archetype, so keep that in mind. So I can just pop that and still hit Trevor? Or would I need to... It's a minor. It's a minor, right? Yeah. Okay. So I can pop that for Haven, and then... That would help a bunch. That is target gain... Can spend a healing surge and regain 1d6 hit points, but I think it's 2d6 since I'm over level six. Yes. And then I will... I'm gonna do divine punishment, which is... divine weapon blah blah blah blah blah.
And I'm gonna hit. Use? And then that's 3d... Hit blah blah blah. And then that's 3d... That's 25, holy shit, that's 25 damage, that's 3d8 plus nine. Nicely done. Well, hell. Fuck. Okay. And then I'm done. Let's see here, werewolf number three. Uh, let's see here. First of all he's going to stand up, and he's in a hole. So... Uh, let's see, wouldn't take much for him to get out. I guess that would be a check, an athletics check? Athletics is climbing. Yeah, you can move half your speed when you climb. Oh yeah. So there's gonna be move action. Yeah, so let's do that.
But standing's not a minor, so he can't attack. Right. I know. I'm just... I'm in self-defense mode. Yeah. I know. Take the fuck out! Trixie, your turn. Okay, so is it better to target, in this case, with these creatures, is it better to target their AC or their Fortitude? Oh, I'm not gonna tell you. I'm not asking you, I'm asking everyone else. I know you won't tell me nothing. I would say AC. 'Cause it's not like they have any armor. I'm just thinking they have like this really thick, tough skin, obviously, but I would think... Go ahead. They are pretty fast, and that influences AC too.
Dang that, that's right. They probably have low will, if you have that. No. Oh, that's true. Scoot up on, and then I'm gonna use dualist demand against Trevor. Miss. Okay. That was good. I already used it. Okay. Good luck, guys. Yeah. Alright. Haven, your turn. Okay. I really want to be able to get closer to the big bad, but it's not in the cards without a bajillion opportunity attacks. You have combat advantage on three right now. That's true. Oh no, there's a big crevasse there. Just push 'em in. Okay. Jump in the hole to save yourself. Get back down there. Inadvertently created a ditch to hide in, everyone.
Get in the bunker. I was wishing I had that space to like shift back into, but now it's a hole, so I'm kind of stuck in werewolf country here. What was I gonna look up? If you shift right, only three of them can attack you. Silver lining. Yeah, yeah. Oh, I know what I was looking up. One second here. If you pull the pin out of the grenade, only you'll blow up. Okay. I will minor action river of life. I gain regeneration five until the end of the encounter. I will minor action silver shadow. I gain temporary hit points equal to five plus my level, and I have concealment until I no longer have the level.
And I have concealment until I no longer have temporary hit points. So minor, minor, and then the temporary hit points, it's gonna be 15. Oops. So plus 15 temp. So I have an additional two points of AC and reflex effectively. Wait, no. Concealments not reflex. I'm sorry. Additional two points basically effectively until the temp hit points are gone. Adjust temp. Okay. Now with my remaining action, that's the thing I was gonna look up. Sorry. I'm gonna have fun with sound effects in this one, I think. Does anyone happen to remember if there is a defense action you can take the standard action in 4E to...
Full defense. Yeah. Trying to know what that entails. It's not coming with you. It's plus two all defenses, I think. Standard action. I thought it was plus four, but you can't do anything on your turn. Ooh, didn't see that then. I could be wrong. I think it's one of those buying time things where it's just like you just turtle up. You don't do anything in your turn. No minors, no moves, nothing. You just stand there and put... Wait a minute. My second wind, that's a standard action. All right. Yeah. We're gonna go full on turtle this round. So I will second wind as my standard action.
I'm just gonna use surge. That's just gonna be... And then when I second wind, all defenses go up by two? Yes, they do. Okay. Till the end of your next turn. So I'm sitting on an effective AC of 30 until next round. Swing wolves, I dare you. Oh, Rob, traditionally on this show when you asked me to do something like that. That's dare. Go ahead. Rob, we need to have a cast meeting after this one. Intervention. Yeah, where we talk about your need to poke the bear. I will live. I'd like to talk about how I'm going to live. All right. You know what though? If you're poking the bear, that means I should be okay.
So go... Logic, it's infallible. I'm striker tanking. That's what I'm doing. Corey, your turn. Okay, question. Yes. I want to use burrowing shot. It's a standard action ranged weapon. Can I use my silver arrow thingy? Yeah. Awesome. Okay, but first, shift. Mm-hmm. Targeting Trevor as often as possible? Or do you do way better when you target multiples? I do way better when I target multiples. Okay, okay. Oh, also you'll suppress. Okay, these guys regeneration too if you silver it up. Ooh. So burrowing shot is when I assume what would happen since I'm allowed to use a silver arrow, I'm going to shoot an arrow at these guys and if it hits, then the arrow is going to burst into beetles underneath their skin, eat them all up in grossness.
No, that's not what I'm talking about. Yes. No, that is awesome. I knew there was a reason I loved her big ginormous self. Now let's just hope that it hits, guys. I haven't been too lucky. You do. Yes. Hit on number one. Awesome. It's actually only one enemy, but each adjacent enemy. Ah, okay. So, okay. Takes five damage. On it. There's only one arrow, basically. Yes. 25. 25 damage to werewolf number one and five to three and four, his buddies. Anything else? Do I want to action point? I will just say this will probably be the only combat that we see today. Maybe. Well, you know, but I'm trying to- I don't want to jinx us or put us into a situation, but- Like you just did.
I really want to take Haven out of this situation that he is in. I'm just- Haven got himself into this situation. You let me worry about Haven. Now if you've got a power that can shift me, that would be super- I have one that can shift the enemy, I think. Oh, that helps too. In the first, other than the primary target, you slide the secondary target one square and it grants combat advantage until the end of your next turn. Although they will all act before I act again, so the timing might be off. I can slide one creature one square, but I won't be able to do anything this round.
Okay, I'm going to save my action point. Does one now get ongoing as long as he's got the silver in him? Yep. Awesome sauce. Anything else? That's going to be it for now. Dagon, your turn. Okay, charge roll. Okay, do it up. 15. 15, you'll be doing 15 extra damage on your next attack if it lands. Anything else? Well, that's it, yeah, charged. I can't do a free action if I'm charging? Not if you're charging, no. Nothing, no. No. Nothing. Trevor's turn. Okay, so Trevor is kind of divided from his original prey here, thanks to that crevice, which pisses him right off.
He's going to use throat rip on Octoronus. That'll hit. Who? 62 damage. What? All right. Jesus Christ. You ripped my throat, but you can see the blood gushing out of Octoronus' throat, but even though he should be down, he's still standing. And that's true. It's a fact. But he's just, yes. So, yes, here's what we're going to do, though. I'm going to pop an action point for Trevor. You dick. So, let's see here. Canine Fury. Trevor McBride makes two melee basic attacks. Let's target Sevetus. He takes minus two to his attack and takes three radiant damage. Also minus, oh, that doesn't change much, but until the end of his turn, because of my class daily, he does five less damage.
Five less damage, yeah. So, five more? Yeah. I'll stop forgetting soon. That's okay. You know what, then let's change it up and let's use Pounce and Claw on Sevetus. Negative two. If this turns out to be, oh my God. That is a hit. That's a claw. 39 damage. Sevetus is prone. Is it five less damage? Five damage, you have five less damage, so I'll take care of it. Okay, thank you. Plus two to AC. Did that count? Even with that, yeah. Well, yeah, because that's the negative I shaved off of him. Werewolf number one. Also, Trevor takes three radiant damage. Three radiant damage.
Oh, I got to save for Trevor, too. Let's see if we can shake off that extra ten damage each turn. Yes, so no more, I mean, yes, I wouldn't be cheering for... Shut up. Just shut up. Let's do Pounce and Claw at Haven for having the balls to stand up. That is a hit. Let's see, was the Shield of Faith only daisy? Yeah. And then I guess Concealment doesn't apply. Okay, so yeah, that does it. I found the one spot that you didn't turn on. Yep, you have a ridiculous AC. Everything else is, you're just immortal everywhere else. You're a god, AC-wise. 26 damage, and Haven is prone again.
Umm, and Werewolf one's turn. Werewolf four. Hmm, let's do Bite, I guess. Get a plus two because you're prone. 30, ooh, 34. 23 damage. Haven is bloodied. Umm, the werewolves have Blood Rage. When they make a melee attack and it lands, they deal four extra damage to a bloodied target. But again, his, his, it's, he has a ridiculous AC. The odds of that happening, again, are pretty slim. Werewolf number two. I'm not trying to attack Werewolf number two, that would be silly. Oh, it wouldn't. Werewolf number two is going to shift in and is going to try and Claw at Sevedis.
It's gonna take three damage for shifting. Three damage for shifting. Minus two on his attack. Minus two on his attack, so that'll be a regular attack because he gets a plus two because Sevedis is prone. That'll be a miss. Suck it. Thank you. actoronus, go ahead and make a death saving throw, please. Actually, Revenant's save at the end of their turns, I'm dazed, so I can only take one action. I'm gonna take my Miner Restore Vitality on myself. Which I regain hit points equal to my healing surge value and I can make a saving throw, so just a healing surge value.
Is there a quick way to do that? Yeah, I got it. Oh, okay, okay. And so how do you want to approach this? Do I not make saving throws anymore for the death saving throw since I'm back up? Well, yeah, you wouldn't have to. Am I still dazed? Probably, right? I mean, that would be the end of my turn. Yeah. But other than that, you're golden. So good on you, Revenant. Werewolf number five. I was going to bite at Haven. That is not a hit. Yes, because of the boost. Yep, because of the boost. Sevedis, your turn. Go ahead and... well, you're prone. Um, I'm gonna stand up.
Good plan. That's a good start. And then, who wants a healing word? My last healing word, because we have two bloody. Get Actaronis. Is that divine magic? Um, let me pop it up. He's a healer, I would imagine, so... All right, so Actaronis is gonna kind of insist, "Oh no, no, get Haven." [laughter] Okay. I get it. I'm gonna pop it onto Haven, then. Okay. So it's a healing surge plus 2D... or... and regain 2D6. Okay, will do. And then that was... since that's my second time, I'm gonna mark it as used. And then... oh... let me... I'm gonna use it daily, but I gotta just make sure which one of these effects might be better for me.
Um... hmm... I'm gonna do... it's called Lesser Aspect of Something. It's a daily, um... and then... I can't read the rest of it. No description or anything? Well, no, it says Lesser Aspect of Something. It has a description, I just can't read it. And I hit! Okay. And then, uh... since I hit, I gain... or it's 11 damage, you gain 10 temporary hit points until the end of the encounter, you gain +1 powered bonus to attack rolls, and any enemy that ends its turn adjacent to you takes radiant damage equal to your Constitution Modifier, which is... uh... 4. Alright.
Anything else? Uh... shit, why not? Um... I'm gonna pop my action point and do Burden of Earth on Trevor. 'Cause I'm on a roll, and I'm gonna cry when I miss. So, all good. Uh, Werewolf #3 is going to Bite at Haven. That'll miss. Yay! Hooray! Yay! Tricksy, your turn. Okay, so I had a question. Didn't before I left for the Werewolf fight, didn't I buy potions? You didn't buy potions, you were given two. Yeah. I was given two, so how come they're not in my inventory? Uh, because... reasons. I don't know. You have two, though. Okay. I'll add it to your inventory. Okay, I'm just curious.
Okay. Keeps among us. Okay, um... no... Okay, so I'm gonna do Blinding Barrage. It's a close Blast 3. Each enemy you can see in the Blast. So I target, and if I hit Dexterity Modifier Damage, and the target is one until the end of your next turn, miss just Dexterity Modifier Damage. Okay. Okay, so would I roll for both Trevor and #2? Mhm. Yes, it's a burst. Are you using the arrows for that? I was about to say, are you... It says, "You must be wielding a crossbow, light thrown up in our sling." Remember, I threw her my... Well then, you're gonna shift back. I'm gonna shift back.
Yeah. Okay. So you're using your crossbow. If it's a close burst, I think it's alright? Uh, yeah. Close burst would not provoke. So I don't have to move? It's still not a bad idea to move away. That's true. Okay. Shifting right here. Blinding Barrage will first shoot against Trevor. Hit. Yes! And then #2. Yes! That is a hit! So 6 against both, I guess. It says damage 6. Yep. And they're blood blind. Blood blind. *Gasp* That... Ooh, an A of turns. Good news! *Laughing* So you can see blood dripping out of my helmet and I just yell, "Trixie, you are so badass!" *Laughing* Shh! *Laughing* Um, anything else, Trixie?
No, but I can't do anything else. Haven, your turn! Okay. On #5. Overwhelming Strike. You may want to stand up. I stand up. Son of a b*tch, I was on... Good start. Good start. I like it. I like it. Okay. Overwhelming Strike. Uh... D20 plus 15. No extra bonus. That's a hit. Hey, 32. 2d6 plus 7. 11 damage. And I shift one square and shift him into the square I vacated. Hey! Substantially less surrounded. This is all working out, guys. Uh, then I'm going to... Oh, action point time. Um, I had to stand up to use my... I had to burn my move action to stand up. That's no good. Um...
I can pull you back one square on my turn if it benefits you. That'll help a bunch. Okay. Awesome. Um... Let's... Let's, uh... Action point. Uh, I'm going to do Overwhelming Strike again. This time on, um... You know what? #5 again. That's fine. So you're just jerking him around by the collar. Yes. Uh, no extra bonuses, no flan-cury things. Another hit. Hit. 2d6 plus 7. Oops, that's not... No, that's not that many d6s. 12 damage. I shift. I put him into the... I shift here instead, actually, and then take him into the space I vacated. Okay. Um... No, the first way. We'll be right there.
That's better. Okay. Um... Miners, miners, miners, miners. Oh, uh, regain 5 hit points from regeneration. Um... Okay. Let me take care of that. Uh... Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. That's it for now. Corey, your turn. Okay. So I'm going to move right... If I move right here, will I be able to attack Trevor? Uh... Yeah. You can move all around the crevasse to get more distance between you and the wolves. I'm going to use an action point on these other guys afterwards. Okay. Um... Storm of Spirit Shards, which basically means that I'm calling upon the spirits of the fallen and they're going to attack Trevor for me.
Ooh. You got a ryggis. Right? (Laughter) And brand. God fucking... All of my cool stuff I always miss on. Sucks. Okay, well... Does it have a... It does have half damage, so... Damage. Spirits are only like half less than I do. Right. How do I do it? How do I make it do half damage again? Oh, I found it. Just roll regular damage and then just click... There you go. Peace bloody. Oh no. As a result of Trevor becoming bloodied. He dies. (Laughter) Emophiliac. (Laughter) Hey now. (Laughter) It's the Dan Phelps of werewolves. (Laughter) Sorry, no. (Laughter) I love Dan. It is not a crack at Dan's emophiliacs.
I love you Dan. I miss you. I love you Dan. Now I know. Knowing is half the battle. It's like saying who you gonna call? You can't say that and not... (Laughter) Oh man. As a result of Trevor becoming bloodied. His savage howl is going to recharge and he is going to lift his head in the air and let loose with a huge howl that rings through this little clearing. As a result, each ally in the burst, which is a burst 10, gains 15 temporary hit points. In addition, each ally can shift up to three squares and make a bite as a free action. Remember, Trevor and two are still blind.
They are blind. He was howling at a rock, they didn't hear it. (Laughter) Is this guy like a level 15 solo? I am really curious about his stats. (Laughter) Once you die Jason will tell you. I would hope he would. (Laughter) I am exceptionally curious because... Never mind, I am not going to be that guy. You want to be that guy. Oh I've got... man... anyway. Did you hear the episode? Yeah, but just go. Just go you asshole. (Laughter) Oh if I can get Robweez on to curse at me I know I've done something right. Now Haven... let's go down the line here. Number five is going to use his bite attack against Haven.
That is going to miss. He's going to take three damage. And three damage. I love it. Going to get through that temp hit points. Yep. Three by three. Okay. Here we go. Bite attack against Haven. That will hit. Twenty seven damage. Number one bite attack against Haven. That will miss. Three. Bite attack against Haven. That will hit. Twenty three damage. Haven is bloodied. Let's see. Number two is going to make a bite attack against... God he's blind either way. It doesn't really matter. I guess just... Trevor! He's going to make a bite attack against Dr. Ronis. I want to switcheroo with Trevor.
Trade places. Can you do that? No. I was about to say. That would have been awesome. I usually stutter when I actually read my powers. Oh! Okay. That's what they say. You got some Ian shit? Negative five because he's blind. This is not going to fucking hit you. No way. Let's see. Okay. Corey? Anything else you want to do? Yes. I am going to do... Oh my god I had it up. Oh! Tremor shot. It is going to break up the ground underneath them. Centered around a primary target burst one. So my primary target... If I go for one it will get three, five, and four. Yes. Okay. Let's do that then.
Yeah. Okay. You can't hit one from where you are. You'll have to go for three or five. Sorry. Okay. She only gets minus two to her attack. Or two as you always do. Okay. Then three. Do I have to roll again? No. No. No. No. I wouldn't make you do that. I'm not cool. Sure. Man, you guys. Come on. We're all still standing. It's going well. Yeah. So I think it's still going to make me do damage on one. Can you transfer it over to three then? Sure. Awesome. Twenty-two. Got it. And the secondary target. Each enemy in the burst other than the primary target. It's wisdom versus fortitude.
You slide the secondary target one square and it grants combat advantage until the end of your next turn. Ooh. Make five fall. So do I just click on them again to attack? Because it's versus. Oh, yeah. So, yeah. You got to attack them. Yeah. Just click my little attack button. Yep. That'll miss one. Crit miss one. And that'll miss five. That sucks. I tried Haven. That's okay. Haven's doing fine. He's got lots of AC. But he's all surrounded and stuff. Well, silver lining. Dagon, your turn. Okay. Rok, do you still want to slide one space? Anywhere you can get me. Probably away from werewolves, eh?
Yeah. Okay, so I'll use forceful push. That's a free action. Range ten. Slide the target one square but not into hindering terrain. So I can move you here. Yay! I mean, you still got two there, but it's better than the other five, three, one, and four. Yeah. Thank you. No problem. So that's used. And running low on options here. Decimate would be great right about now. Well, it might kill everybody. Well, yeah, okay. If I move in here, Trixie still has a shot at Trevor, right? She can shoot through us. Yeah. Yeah, you're fine. I don't like getting close, but I don't really have an option here.
So one, two, five, six. And I will use... You're gonna have to either stop here or take an opportunity attack. He's blind. Can he? Okay, instead of... Let me check. I went down here instead and then up. Hold on one second. Can you do opportunity attack if you grant combat advantage? He can't flank, but he can still take opportunity attacks. Well, Dagon found a path, though, that gets him there. Okay, Diddy. I'm sorry. I wasn't... Sorry. My bad. You're good. You're fine. Okay, so force punch on Trevor. Plus I get +15 if I land it. If you land it. That's a hit. Oh, shit.
Beautiful. God, I could kiss you right on the mouth right now, Dagon. And then you just click the little up arrow, 15. Everyone damage. Trevor has been knocked clean across this little clearing. Was he flinged across the crevasse? Kind of over it. The force just kind of knocks him clean. I know you're normally over gaps. You get a saving throw to see if you fall in it or not. And if you save, you fall prone just before the gap. But it's kind of poetic if he flies across it. Yeah, I imagine it just because it's a ground level thing. Because it's going to take him clean off his feet.
Because the ditch is right there next to him. Alright. That's just kind of... Yeah. Dagon, anything else you'd like to do? Not right now. Okay. Trevor's turn. Don't say it like that. I thought I was going to get excited. It was my turn. Trixie. Trevor's going to stand up. And man, this is not working out like he'd like it to, guys. I know you're feeling bad for him. Yeah, too much for him. Hey, can I ask a quick question? Sure. Trevor is going to use Pounce and Claw on Corey. Jump in the hole? Is Trevor going to move? He is going to... He gets to shift three as part of the attack.
Three. Duck. I'm so tall. He can't reach me. Duck really, duck really. Just smack him with your branch arms. Holy shit, he missed. She ducked. She must have. That is... No, she stuck out her tongue and he got scared. Trevor's going to spend his last action point. And he is going to use K9 Fury. Trevor McBride makes two melee attacks. That's more of a standard at will, I guess, but it's claws. So one. Still have plus two to all your defenses. It's actually plus four. Oh, okay. Jesus, those are the lowest rolls ever. Holy shit. I'm so happy right now. Just Judo throwing in the hole.
Corey is the one right now because Trevor just ran up, tried to Pounce. She deftly dodges it and then he just takes two big swings with his claws and she dodges those as well. I was like, bitch, please. He's probably a little rattled from that little trip we took there. And blind. Wait, is that a save ends? That's a save ends, isn't it? Probably. Okay, he's no longer blind. He's fine. Is Two still blind? Yes. Two is blind until the end of my next turn, so after this turn he's not blind. Oh, so it's not a save ends. Okay, never mind. Oh, Jason. Yes. The target just moved and he's still under my oath of pursuit.
Yes. I get to shift three as long as this motion gets me closer to him. Okay, good. So three actor on us is space diagonal down over to right there. Okay, good. Cool. And Jason, he is blind. It's only till the end of my next turn that save ends. Okay, cool. He missed everything anyway. Is. I thought for sure one of those were the tech. Yes. Is the wolf that I hit with that arrow still taking ongoing damage? Yes. Okay, I wasn't sure if he took it out or not. No, not yet. He didn't save from it yet. Okay. Did Trevor take that damage? Oh, he saved from that. Oh, he did?
Yeah, he's the one wolf to actually save from that. Still didn't get to regenerate or anything, but yeah. Oh, shit. Werewolf number one is going to try to pounce at actor onus. That will come on. This is working well for us. Shut up, Jason. It is. It is working well for you. Werewolf number four is going to try to pounce at actor onus. That's a hit. Okay. Now he feels better. I just thought the table was broken. That will knock actor onus out. I am woozy. You're woozy, not yes. I can't see anything, guys. What's going on? Call me Mick. Werewolf number two is going to take a swing at Dagon.
No, you know what? He's going to try to pounce at Dagon, but it'll be a negative five because he's blind. Negative two because it's not me and three radiant. Can I have plus two HD? And then he'll take plus. Just don't even roll. It's fine. That will still hit. With a negative seven. When he ends his turn, he'll take four damage. Okay, so four damage and he's going to take three damage from that seven. I will not forget. I don't want to forget that damage. That is crucial. 21 damage to Dagon and he falls prone. Actor onus, your turn. By the way, I wasn't cheering for the werewolves.
I was more just like raising your voice, just letting you know. No, you were. Okay. It was a big moment. I just wanted to punch it. All right. Well, I'm going to do my second wind. No choice there. So I'm at 32 AC. Nine plus two my other defenses. That's it. You don't have to make a saving throw because you're not technically knocked out. Okay. Wait a second. That was a healing surge you said? Yeah, the second wind. So let's get that done. Boom. 23. You're back up to 23 health. Can I use my shared recovery reaction? Ally within five squares if you regain zip points?
Yes, you can. So I gain temporary hit points equal to twice my intelligence modifier, which is six. So 12 temp hit points. So you're going to use your move action to stand up, I imagine? I don't think I fell prone since I was just dazed. Well, that's part of the attack is it knocks. Oh, okay. Yeah. I don't think I can since I only have one action when I'm dazed. So I would stay on the ground. Okay. Not the face. That's a lot of werewolves. Still. That is a crit to actor on this. Well, about that, you gave me the fortification magic quality to my armor. So property whenever a crit hit is scored, I can roll one d20 on the result of 16 to 20.
It becomes a normal hit. Wow. Otherwise, I think, yeah, let's fingers crossed. Let's go, baby. Big money. Boom. That's a crit. For the people listening, no, he didn't just roll a 20, but the hit that he just took is a crit. 29 damage. Well, that's it? Yeah. Well, they're just seven. I'm dazed again. I just feel super high. Seven, it's your turn. I'm going to turn over to Haven and use cure serious wounds. Don't actor on us. It's going to be wasted on me. Get actor on us. Didn't we talk about this, though? Well, right now I'm too out of it to say anything. Both of you guys are so polite.
He's bleeding out. I'm not. Yeah, but you can shift up and get him. Is he going to hurt him? Yeah, out of game. I'm trying like, oh my gosh, I'm interconning. I'm interconflict right now. Just do what he says. Okay. Don't you have another burst ability left? I have a burst ability. Oh, wait, what's wrong? What's the problem? Out of game or in game? In game. In game, there's no problem. Out of game, I'm having conflicts because I know why there's a conflict. I have a burst. It's a standard action close burst five. You and each ally in the burst. Each ally regains hit points as if he or she's been a healing surge.
In addition, each target gains a plus two power bonus to attack rolls until the end of your next turn. That's everybody? Everybody in the burst? Everybody, I think. Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. What's the power called? Battle surge. Daily, let's see, action, where's that? You and each ally in the burst. Each ally regains hit points as if he or she's been a healing surge. In addition, each target gains plus two power... What the fuck? Beast mode. Okay. We can beat dicks too, Jason. Severnus is gonna start shaking his fist and hulking up and Alan hit his desk. Take a shot.
How big is the burst? It's a close burst five. That's all of us. That's amazing. Do it. Hey, congratulations. So everybody gets to spend a healing surge, I guess. Does it say as if? As if, yeah, sorry, as if. So regain, yeah. So don't use a healing surge, but add what your healing surge value is? So does that give me extra hit points? Oh, no, well, yeah, you're at full, so you're fine. Should I do it myself? Yeah, if you could. That's not temp, that's we just adjusted. That's, yeah. Awesome. And then each, everybody, yeah. The rest of that bonus. Guys, it's gonna be okay.
I was confused how that worked just because I read target and I... My inner mind where I read it, I was like, target, that's whoever, like, enemies, so I assumed they got a plus two power bonus to attack rolls until the end of my next turn, but I guess that makes more sense. That is a holy shit button if ever I've seen one. Is that a daily? That's a daily. That is, okay. If I went at will, I'd quit. Like, that's a daily. It's a minor. Um, uh, okay, so I imagine that's it for you? Uh, yeah, I don't have an action point anymore. Any mo. Guess you could shift if you want.
Ah, nah, I'm good. Werewolf number three is going to move towards Corey and pounce. That'll hit. 22 damage and Corey will fall prone. Ow. Chirixi, your turn. Okay, can I, if I were to move right next to Dagon, can I shoot through? Like, there's no way I can hit Trevor, is there? Not really for me here, no. Uh, it's allies all the way, isn't it? Uh, if you moved here, then you could shoot clean through. So if I move over just to... Just right there. Ah, what happened? Right there. Okay, now I'm going to do my range basic attack against Trevor. Okay. Silver arrow?
Yes. Oh, wait, no, you don't need that. I can't. Damn it. Corey, give it back. Hey. Of course I missed. Oh, that's... Whatever. Did you spend an action point yet? Yeah. Okay. No, no, I didn't. Uh, anything else, ma'am? No. Haven, your turn. Okay. Plus five health from regeneration. Boom. I am not done with you. Straight back in it, Trevor. Strength of many daily. Uh, he is the only enemy adjacent to me, so I get to roll twice, take the better. Uh, plus two power bonus from the healing thing that just went off, plus two from strength of many for each ally within two squares.
So I'm swinging at D20 plus 19. You sure you didn't use strength of many for your first attack? Uh, that was oath of pursuit. Oath of pursuit. Okay. Did the 26 hit? 26 as an AC? No. Okay. So then I get the second roll. Yep. That will hit. That's... Uh, six D6 plus seven plus an additional one for Corey, uh, being there. Wait. Okay. Oh, the effect was to the damage roll, not the attack roll, but does a 33 still hit? Yes. Okay. So it's plus two to the damage roll on that and then plus one from Corey being there from, so plus three, so 66 plus 10. 76? What? 66. Wait. What's the question? 66 plus 10.
Yeah. 66 plus 10. Okay. 35 damage. Ooh. 35 damage to Trevor. Nice. Anything else? Uh, do I have any miners left? Uh, I will oath of relentless pursuit him with my miner action. Uh, I reach out and tag him with a little mote of holy light, uh, until I, it's a daily, until I use this power on a different enemy forever, I know the direction and distance to Trevor. So if he runs, he's not going far enough to heal. I don't think he runs. Uh, just in case. Corey, your turn. You are on the ground. I'm going to stand up. Good plan. Like that plan. I was going to stay on the ground, take a nap, but I decided against it.
So it's another way to go. It's happens. You have a diagonal shift that can get you out of the mess. I know. Um, I'm trying to decide cause I've got two dailies left. One's versus fortitude and one's versus reflex. So really either way I'm kind of there. Um, so I think I'm just going to continue with AC I guess. You're due for a good one. Do any of them do more damage than your? Oh yeah. One does three D eight plus two D six plus I can't see the rest of it. And that's versus fortitude, but I know that's his highest one. Yeah, it's nice to want to give me a reflex.
I don't know. I mean, I feel like we need the big money hits. All right, I'll try it. What do you like? What do you, I mean, I want to do it, but I've been missing so much lately. You know what? I'm going to say this. They're werewolves and they're fast. That's all I'm going to say. Fort also the walls. Let's do it. All right. Here we go. I'm Trevor be a little bitch for me. Yes. Trevor. And Trevor bends down. Cory does a touchdown dance. Dammit. Oh no, I'm sorry. It's three D eight plus two D eight plus eight. Good Lord. Silver arrow still. 38 damage. Oh yes. 30 that.
Say it. Just please. God. Oh my God. You were using a silver arrow, right? Oh yeah. What else? Corey. Yes. You've just killed Trevor McBride. That's my first notable kill ever. Oh, that's a good one. I'm so excited. I'm crying. So hoping they just all take off and leave forever. Is that the end of your turn, ma'am? Yes. Dagon, your turn. He's dead, right? He is dead. Corey is going to fire an arrow that lands clean into Trevor's skull. And after a couple of seconds of him stumbling back and forth on his haunches, he is going to tumble face forward into the dirt. I'm going to trigger a free action in response to him being dead.
My dark reaping. First I am going to attack, I'm going to do extra necrotic damage. Okay. I'm prone. You have to charge. No I don't. No you don't. I'm sorry. I thought you used a daily. I'm an idiot. It was just a real good force punch. Yeah, it was. If I'm prone, like if I use a move action personal, like an encounter, I'd still have to stand up before I did that. Uh, yeah. Okay. Well, yeah. Okay. In that case, I will... Wait a minute, are you trying to teleport? I was going to, but I don't know if... Well you can. If it's a teleport, then it wouldn't matter if you're prone or not.
But would I be prone after I teleport? No. You're blinking out of existence. Let's just say that you stood up in the process. What's it? I figured. I was hoping. Um. You're bending time and space. I'd say you can figure out how to write yourself in the picture. Okay. I will use... Wisdom modifier is three. Sorry. Um, so I'll use a transport self. It's teleporting one plus my wisdom modifier, which is three. So I can move four spaces and I don't take opportunity attacks obviously when I teleport. Nope. One, two, three, four. And I'm going to use Thunderous Exit. Which is a close burst three, so I will land it I guess right here.
Well that's a close burst three, it's coming out from you. Oh shoot. Edit that out. Keep it. Okay, scratch that. I'm going to stay where I was. I'm going to stand up and force punch number two. Okay. When in doubt. Keep it simple. And I am stupid. Okay. You were fine. And I missed. Even with the flanking bonus? Hero of three. Oh. Even with the flanking bonus. Anything else there? All that for nothing, I just wanted to talk. Keep it on the show. On the show it'll be like that. Like no one will even notice. Oh, keep it in there. I would never do that to you. Trevor's dead.
The all the werewolves in the surrounding area, the pack is going to notice Trevor fall with this loud thud. Kind of a whimper. They're going to start turning tail and running. If they're running, can we try to shoot them with the arrow still? You can absolutely pursue them if you like. One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight. Make an opportunity attack there after all this. Can I do that even if I'm prone? I guess so. You can, but it's a negative two. Can I save it for number two if he runs? Oh no, I can take many. It's true. Yes. Okay, cool. All right, so it's going to have the dark reaping on it if it hits.
Basic melee. That'll hit. All right, so that's 1d8 plus seven plus 1d6 fire damage and 1d8 plus four necrotic damage. So first damage, roll it. 13. Six fire damage. Six. Six. And where is it? Dark reaping. 1d8 plus con. 1d8 plus four. Eight. And eight more damage. Okay, let's see. He's going to finish at one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight. Yeah, these things are just going to start turning tail and running. Another opportunity attack against four, please. All right. Number four. Okay, that misses. Four, five, six, seven, eight. And then he is going to clean disappear off the board running into the woods.
Number two. Both Dagon, oh Jesus, Dagon, Sevetus, and Actoronus please make opportunity attacks against werewolf number two. All right, Dagon, we're flanking, so you get plus two. Does that negate my minus two? Yes, so that's just a regular roll. That's plus two to attack. All right. I'm going to trigger a holy smite. Can I trigger a holy smite if it says you target an enemy with an at will weapon power? Oh no, I guess not. Nevermind. Plus one. Okay, 10. I don't get to roll fire damage again. Okay. How would we capture one of these guys? Well if you're telling me you're trying to knock it out instead of kill it, when it gets to zero hit points or less, you would have essentially knocked it out, but you have to specify.
I think we should all target one and try to knock it out. One's clean on the other end of the field. Two is going to have the most opportunity attacks against it, and once it gets to like my turn and Trixie's turn, we can do ranged attacks against it too, so I think we should go for two. Just because there's the most opportunity for attacks. Okay, so do our opportunity attacks and then you guys will knock them out? Hopefully if everything works out right. Yeah. Okay, so yeah, go ahead and take on an opportunity attack. Okay, plus two. Yes. That is going to miss.
Is Brian here? He said he was AFK a minute ago. Alright, well then I didn't know if he came back. I just reread my blade. It says per turn, so like we said with Throb earlier, that would be every combatant's turn, so I could still do a d6 fire. Alright, go ahead. Yoo-hoo! Great. Three damage. Now he is going to move one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, and he's going to spend his second move action to run into the forest. Actaornis, your turn. Damn it. Alright. These things are quick. I'm going to stand up. Okay, good plan. I like it. Good start. And I'm going to target number five with Valiant Strike.
Strength versus AC, I get a bonus to the attack equal to the number of enemies adjacent to me, so that would be plus one. And I'm also going to trigger my Holy Smite. It's going to do four more damage, and he's going to be dazed if it hits. So plus one. That'll hit. Alright, so 1d8 plus seven, plus six, and plus a straightforward four, and he's dazed. So he can only take one action. His turn, werewolf number five. Go ahead and make a melee basic attack, opportunity there. Hits. Hits, alright. 13 damage. Plus five fire. Yep. Got it. One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, and he is going to run into the forest here.
Is he not dazed? He is, but he can still take a move action. Oh, I thought if you were dazed you can't take any actions. Just one action. Yes, stunned. It sounds similar. It's dazed, you can only take one. So he is going to run into the woods. Sebbets, your turn. I guess I will pull out, well, I can shoot my crossbow from here, right? That might sound like a silly question. I've never used a ranged weapon before. So I'll pull out my crossbow and point it at number three and miss. And that will be the end of my turn. Okay, let's see here, that will bring up wolf number three.
He is going to run towards the woods. One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, and disappear into the woods. That will take you guys out of combat. Congratulations, you've beaten the pack. Good job team. It really did. It was so slow. It was awesome. I saw my life flashing before my eyes. Yeah. Rob did more than once. Yeah, something like five times. I want Trixie to just walk up to the corpse of Trevor, pick it up, take it to the bar, and just throw it into the bar and leave. So Trixie is taking his head. Trixie is going to go over there and use her dagger to chop off his head with the arrow still in it and she's going to carry it back.
Oh good lord. Before we go back, I just want to go look over where they were hanging out before, see if they have any valuables over there. Go ahead and roll a perception check for me. Oh boy. I can roll a perception check. Everyone roll perception, let's just cut to the chase because I know how this goes. There's nothing in that hole guys. 11. That looks like wolf poop. 34. Ooh. Damn. Scanning over this clearing, while it does appear that they kind of congregated here and this was some place that they were hanging out, it doesn't appear as though this is like a den of theirs or that they stored any belongings or anything like that.
This was mainly just a place that he existed. So sadly it doesn't look like there are any silver weapons or any valuables in the area. Although, bringing back the head of Trevor McBride would probably, well payment is in order. So this would be the first paying gig that group two has had in forever. So congratulations, you have survived this little werewolf encounter. Yay. Hey, we can just do a big two-handed maul overhead smash on the chest just for good measure. Just to make sure. Even though it's headless. No, he's just angry at this point. Now, granted, he's happy that Erythas saw him through.
He's real angry at Trevor. But still, fuck these werewolves. Tenderize. Fuck this big werewolf. I think that's a good time for us to stop for this evening. God, that was fun. Rob, I want to apologize for ever doubting your faith. I just go from past experience. I think the part when I called Jason an asshole, I think I was doubting at that point. No way. Oh, go ahead, Cookie, I'm sorry. I was going to say noted when Rob starts swearing his faith is going down. So can you tell us what level and what, like, was he a solo? Well, he was, because he had two action points.
Yes, he was. Okay, what level of solo? This is off the show because I don't share levels that he was a level 13 solo. Oh boy. Solo is a boss that is supposed to be tackled alone with no henchmen. Yeah, we were level 13. Oh, yes. Yeah. Thank you very much. That being said, it's not from the book. It's heavily augmented. So it's not exactly like Rob's going to have a different definition in his head as to what that means than what, like, the hit points were scaled back a bit. The trust me, if I kept the AC and such where it was, you wouldn't have had much of a chance.
Like I scaled it back a bit. Right. Well, but you also jacked the damage through the roof. I did. Yeah. That's the trade off. Yeah. That, yes. This thing was dealing damage like at 18 to 20th level something or other. Yes. So that's why I was kind of surprised at how devastating this thing's hits were. Right. But his henchmen were, yeah, like not nearly. Yeah. But yeah, that's... But what's his biggest attack? Like did I see 67 at some point or am I just crazy? Oh no, you're not crazy. Oh boy. That's throat rip. Yeah. Can I, like full disclosure? I thought I was going down for real in this game.
I thought you were too. I thought Rob was going down too. I was like, bye guys. It was nice to meet you guys. All of the new people gone. Yeah. We're going to have to... Yeah, these... Trixie positioned herself in a way that she could link it. I want to make things clear. All of the encounters aren't going to be like this. This was a very... This is telegraphed through the roof. Like I told you how nasty this was going to be. You've already been through this encounter and you went back in. So... We had to. We had no choice but to finish. You can't just run away from a fight and forget about it.
We had to do that. Well you can. That is an option. But this is principle. And I'm glad we did it. I'm glad we won. But all that being said, how fucking sweet was it that you did it? It was so sweet. Any time anybody got hit I was like, oh my god they're dead. I mean it's the same thing with like, it's the same thing with like, is he having to fight the angel of death or Brianna or whatever. Like it's the same thing, like the closer you come to death... This felt worse. Right. I wasn't there for those ones. I heard them. But this, like I was, like my stomach was in knots the whole thing.
Oh I thought like... You guys did fantastically. And we run. And you know what? Group 2 needed that feather in their cap. You needed that big fuck Yudith area. You needed that big, it's like no no no, we got this. And this new Group 2, you kind of Avengers assembled. You, everyone had something to do in the party and I am not talking shit, but so far it looks like Sevetus is a better healer than Baranith was. God, Battle Surge is my new favorite thing ever. That was fucking amazing. You, the uh... But we've got, we've got like so many tanks now too, it's like...
Yeah. Uh, yeah. This is a new, better fighting Group 2 as well. Yeah. And you literally did ring the dinner bell and just get mauled to death when you came in the first time. That was kind of a wake up call. This is, you went in, you were prepared, you, you... The silver was critical. This, I mean, dead and gone without the silver. Oh yes. They would have kept regenerating and they would have eventually overwhelmed you. You would have run out of dailies, you would have, yeah. But again, I promise you, not all of the fights are going to be like this. Not, I just, this was a big one.
Can we try not to, oh sorry. No, no, go ahead. Can we try not to disclose that we all made it intact on Twitter and stuff like that until the show airs? I tried to make my tweet really vague and I was like, the first has fallen when Trevor died. That was what I tweeted and I was like, they're not going to know if I'm talking about us or if I'm talking about the bad guys. All right. Yeah, but like, yeah, just so, or hint, like things that might say we might have fallen in combat, just like that, all of us could do it. I don't know. Cause it was a tough fight.
God, that was beautiful. I literally, the only thing I tweeted during these things, I think is hashtag don't fuck with werewolves. So many people get closure now though. Yeah. I'm really excited to hear what the listeners have to say about this dual pack episode cause I feel like both of them have gone really well. Um, yeah, I'm, I've been a little distracted for a couple of days here, but I'm, Oh no, no, that's fine. Totally. I completely understand. I'm not being like Jason edit this so you could put it out right now. That's not what I meant. I'm just excited for group two to get a little recognition.
Oh yeah. Absolutely. Wow. Okay. So speaking, speaking of this, uh, Jared platinum ferret, uh, on the fan page. Okay. So are we getting any content this week? Cause been waiting as patiently as I could, but it's Wednesday night, so I figured it's time to bitch. You got five episodes last week. God, that was fun. That was fun. This is, I feel like I just got off the roller coaster and you're just like the entire time you're riding it, you're like, I'm going to die. I'm going to die. And then you get off and you're just like, I feel like I'm about to throw up. Seriously?
I am sick to my stomach. Oh God. Okay. Rob. I feel like I know my intro was very awkward, but I really can't wait until I get the grasp because I feel like me and you are going to conflict because you were being so eloquent with Trixie and Trixie was like, fuck you. And I was just like, okay, the poet over here, like, yeah, you really rubbed that in. And like, all that's going through, uh, all that's going through Haven's mind is I don't, wasn't learning with her. I just talk. Well it's just like, we can talk later. Okay. I, I, I, I haven't heard you react that way in a long time, Rob.
Uh, it's, I wasn't trying to make you sick. I I'm, I'm, I'm sorry. I wasn't, I'm not, look, I'm developing a rep with you guys. Look, come here. Okay. Bring it in. Okay. Coach. Group two. I needed, okay. You needed a true reset button for group two. Uh, sadly that meant losing two people that wasn't necessarily part of the plan, but it happened and you needed the closure of really taking to, if I scaled back the fight at all, it wouldn't be the same. It wouldn't be closure. And I'm pretty sure if someone were to listen to this, they would complain publicly and vocally if they thought the fight was scaled back.
It wasn't. You guys took it down like bosses. You did fantastically, uh, and, uh, now you're free to do whatever you want. Go wherever you want. Check out whatever you want. So I mean, you, you needed it. Like you're, you're good. And not every fight is going to be like that. I'm, uh, that one was kind of pre-written. You've already done it. So I couldn't really make drastic changes to it. I know, I know like, yeah, so you, you did really well. I know I mentioned this beforehand based on like our last DRP episode and it being ridiculously hard, but I really do think that it's way more rewarding to almost die in a battle and then win.
Then to just sort of coast by and just be like, oh, well these enemies are easy. We're fine guys. Like it puts so much more on the line and it's like, oh my God, guys, this is really stressful. Oh my God, what's going to happen? I, again, I know some people don't deal well with that. I know that just makes them anxious and like nervous and it doesn't feel good. Like I'm not, not every fight is going to be like that, but every once in a while you will encounter something that could really mess you up. That's why I just, I don't go by the books because I don't, I honestly, I think fourth edition is really kid gloves.
Those solo, those solo monsters and stuff like that at your level would be doing like 2d 10 plus five damage for big attacks. That is, that is ridiculous. You guys have AC of like 28, 29. Some of you, you have buffs that, that all can join and stack with each other. At one point, Rob had an AC of 30 and the, you have armor that you negate the first crit that like you guys have enough going for you. It is hard enough to kill you as it is. I don't feel bad for throwing shit at this, like this at you most of the time. It's I mean, at a certain point it is about dice rolls.
So I mean, it's tough to balance it when there's so many wild variables going around. It goes both ways. Yes, exactly. I think I, I think part of the reason I'm like, like this has got me in this state is because I'm so used to playing a character who spends most battles not getting hit. Like I was just sitting there, you know, like with Malchus most battles, like he never, I can't remember the last time I spent a healing surge with Malchus. Because literally how much he doesn't get in the action. Yeah. Well, if group three finds them. Yeah. I'm kidding guys.
They got shit on their plate, dude. You don't listen to them. They got shit on their plate. Ironhide being chief among them and a powerless Brianna. Oh, I cannot wait to hear what happens with that. I just love that story arc so much. Thank you very much. Yeah. I don't know shit for that, but no, I, I really liked that. Very well from, was that based on Izzy's dice roll? Like each number corresponded to something else that was, might've happened. That's so cool. I had to seriously have a long talk with her about that. She was really legitimately pissed off at me.
Oh, that was a great twist. It was fun. She got to come back. You can't have everything you want. There was finally, there's finally a, to me, a real consequence to resurrection there. Yeah. That was the point. And now you're the only one. I know. Double, double rare. Like a beanie baby. You're the holographic Charizard card in mint condition. Don't unwrap me. All right guys, we'll have to work at the morning. Oh shit. Let me just say this before you go. Okay. I don't even have to do the math cause you were so close. Everyone who's a level nine is now a level 10.
Yes. Congratulations. Good job. Level away from Paragon Dagon. You now have decimate. That's so awesome. Everybody's hand back. That is the, if Rob, to give you some context, essentially, do you remember way back in the day, a power Brianna used while you were in the evergreen fighting next to her and she told you to get back. That is what Dagon now has. Nice. Is that the one that killed Fi? Yes. Sweet. So I hope you're killing many people without one. It is nasty. Now I can check a look through the books and pick out stuff. Awesome. Yes. All right guys, I will talk to everyone later.
Thank you so much for sitting down. Love you guys. Thank you. That was awesome. Congrats again, Jamie, on your notable kill. Yay. Congratulations. Yay. - See you guys. - Bye guys. - See you guys.
