Blue Cross and Blue Shield is the trade name of Anthem Health Plans, Inc. Howdy folks! I'm Jason. I'm sitting here with Bree. Hey guys! We want to talk to you about Patreon for one minute. We've been doing this for about a month and it's really worked out quite well. We're getting a real sense of what you guys want to see and hear. We've released some bonus content. You guys seem to really like it.

We just recorded the 20 questions thing for people that's about to go up in the feed. But what we want to do is tell you what our plan is for Patreon because a lot of people don't know where that money's going. We want to break it down for you really quickly. Firstly, I obviously have to pay bills. Rent, gas, electric, all that stuff. So that's pretty much taken care of as of now. What a lot of people don't know is that Bree is pretty much working on DNR full time as well. And I'm obviously trying to pay her to do that. Not nearly as much as she deserves, I assure you, because she works just as hard at this as I do.

So what we're trying to do is, what we'd like to do is work on several different projects coming up. The more we make at this, the better we can expand DNR and give you things that we've wanted to give you now for a long time. A lot of things you've asked for. One of the huge things is people want to see a dedicated theory and timeline from the show's beginning to where we are now. Something that could be updated on the fly. That is a massive project, obviously. We do have timeline software that we... It's not for lack of having the software to do it. It's time and dedication.

And what we're doing is constantly trying to keep the site updated. We're trying to write. We're obviously working on Kickstarter stuff at the same time. So our plate is full from sunup to sundown constantly every day trying to get all this done. What we'd like to do is hire a couple of writers. We'd like to hire people who can help work on the site. A dedicated webmaster. And what we're trying to do is get people to donate 50 cents a month. We have that many listeners. I understand that not everyone's going to be able to donate, obviously. But 50 cents is fairly attainable and that mounts up really quickly when you realize there are tens of thousands of listeners.

You may think that that's a throwaway sum, that that's not going to help. It absolutely does mount up. It's very helpful. And on top of that, what we're doing is if you can't donate, just share the link because that helps get it in front of more eyes. If you want to donate more, there are different tiers. We're doing all kinds of stuff. We mentioned behind the scenes stuff. We're doing these DNR web seminars where we're teaching you while I'm sitting down. We put together a presentation. I'm sitting down and walking you through different topics each month.

This one we're talking about character creation and how to flesh them out and make the world feel a bit, you know, make your world at home feel a bit more alive and something your characters can touch and interact with and it feel real to them. We've been working on this really hard. We have a lot of plates spinning. But Patreon is a brilliant site. I am supporting a few artists now that I didn't even know about Patreon before we started it. A little bit, but not much. The amount that just $1.50 can go into making a podcast, actually you can live off of it and you can make it so much better.

It's astounding, really. Our tiers, we're trying to make them worth it. That's one of our biggest goals to make sure that if you do want to be in one of the tiers that you're getting your money's worth. Behind the scenes blooper reels, character level up, shopping trips. That's just for $15. But again, even just 50 cents, it would mean the world to us. One of the other things that we want to do and I have we have everything in place. We just don't have the money to facilitate it. And that is doing bits of animation. Having short animated trailers for upcoming story arcs or scenes from the show.

There's a dozen different things we can do with that that would just help flesh out the world and you get to see things. I'd like to have a dedicated artist just working on scenery. We can show you what the Overwatch looks like, what Winterhaven looks like, where Drax Tomb, all these places. All these places we can point to. It's like that's what it looks like. We've taken some pretty nice steps with the character art. Being able to show you what Jancia and Fi and Una and Kaluna and all these characters look like. You can actually see them. You can see what finally there's a definitive Yenward.

That's what Yenward looks like. You can see all of these characters finally. So I know I'm rambling. I know this is going on long and I know you want to get to the episode. We just want to get it across. We're not just looking for money. We're trying. I don't go out and do anything. I don't go anywhere. It's not just because this is what I love to do and this is what I work for. I'm on a shoestring budget. I'm not trying to get money to even get insurance. I'm just trying to expand the damn show and do all these neat new things. So yes. Do you have anything else you want to say so I can stop rambling at these people?

Oh man, what do I want to say? I would absolutely love to get to $1,750 sometime soon. Because I cannot wait to make my friends watch the Dungeons and Dragons movie. That's going to be so much fun. Even beyond that, D&R is really important to me. It's really important to Jason. I think it's really important to everyone who's on the show and hopefully to you guys listening too. So just visit our page if you can. It's patreon.com/dandr. That's it. D-A-N-D-R. Thank you everyone who supported us, everyone who shared the link, everything. And we will get out of your way now so you can enjoy the episode.

Hope you enjoy it. Yep. Thank you very much guys. Bye. Bye. Let's do that thing where we go around the table and introduce ourselves. I'm Jason. I'm the Dungeon Master Coordinator. The table starts with Danielle. Hi, I'm Danielle. I play Lela Silverkin, the Slayer something. What am I? The human. The human Slayer. Yeah. She slays humans. And James. Hey, it's James. I play Dagon the Eladrin Sire. And Susan. Hey, I'm Susan Spinator. I play Erolove Girmness, the Invoker. And Jamie. Hi there. I'm Jamie Richardson and I play Kori Forcekeeper, the Goliath Shaker. She sees Goliaths, everyone.

Last time you guys beat up a shitload of Kobolds and took their ride. Yeah, we did. You totally carjacked them. Yeah. So you guys, you guys got a Drake and you are currently riding this bad ass thing into town. Now, this thing is huge enough for the entire party to ride on the back of this thing. It's it's quite large. So you are riding back to Fair Bay in style. You have taken care of these Kobolds ransacking these little shits. You have found a lot of dead rats. A stylish vest, which you you can choose to keep or not. It does have a lot of holes in it from where rats were attached to it, but nonetheless, stylish vest.

And you found 50 gold. Not a bounty, but Kobolds. They're not really they're not a huge cash rich race. So riding back to Fair. Get around with it. Yeah. I mean, you did get a drink. How are we going to land this sucker? Well, it's not flying. Oh, I guess. OK, never mind. No, it's it's it's it's just a drink. So this thing is it's like a huge lizard. How are the townsfolk reacting to a giant drake walking into town? Oh, I was going to say, should we maybe not bring it? I think we should go like, you know, park it right outside of town, like, you know, guide to a tree or something.

I just don't want to leave him all alone. Well, it's not like you can put him in your backpack. I don't want to go camping. We're not camping. I'm not I'm not camping. God knows I'm not camping. I just don't want to lose. I just don't want to lose Snickers, our new Drake friend. That's right, listeners. The name of the Drake is Snickers. The boat was taken because he's so vicious. So Snickers is completely loyal to us. You say that like you're from another country. Am I saying that right? Snickers? Well, he is actually from another country, but they have Snickers in Canada.

He's not from like the Netherlands or something. They just don't they don't call them Snickers. They're Le Snickeros. Isn't that like Spanish? Like, yeah, you go in the Spanish like Le Snickeros. It's just Le Snickers. Le Snickers. Le Snickers. That just sounds classy. You have to eat that with a fork and knife. Like that's that's a that's a classy dessert. Yeah. I feel like we're getting off track. OK. So if you're loyal to us, Jason, like, will it leave if we leave it here in the forest? Le Snickers loves Corey. Le loves Corey. Totally digs on Corey. So this thing will this thing will wait if you if you if you tell it to wait for you, it'll wait for you.

OK. He's like a puppy dog. Kinda. Like a big ferocious puppy dog. OK. That's sweet. You know, really awkward way. Yes. Like that list. The similarities are striking. They're both big red pointy teeth. Loyal. We have a better way to be proud of ourselves. They're going to be an elf nearby that falls in love with it because I really don't want to handle that again. Oh, but I'm Tish. Are we heading back into town? I guess we got to tie this thing up. All right. I'm going to I don't think it has a leash. Oh, it has like it has a like a brain, like part of the saddle, right?

Yeah. Like it's it's it was a mount for these kobolds. It's kind of makeshift. It's not like the best. But yeah, it's it's meant to be ridden. OK. Then I guess I will tie Snickers up on the tree. And before I go, though, I want to scratch him behind his little his little Drake ears. And I don't. Yeah, that's true. Well, there's Corey, so I can say they're probably normal size to me. Like these are just regular years. I'm going to scratch him by his ears. Can he probably understand human ears? Yeah. He's going to start scratching uncontrollably. Snickers seems to like this a lot.

Oh, good. Corey's going to say we'll be right back, but I'm going to need you to stay here. I don't know if you can understand me, but I'm hoping that he doesn't take this tree away. He gets the gist. He doesn't he doesn't understand you necessarily, but like he he you've tied him to the tree and stuff. And you're you're kind of like patting him and it's like, oh, like he walk around the back and push his butt down and go stay. And then we'll get. OK, we'll come back with a half a half a cobalt for you. Be good to say. What do we feed this thing? A lot. Whatever it is, you feed it a lot.

Remind me to buy a goat before we leave. Your food budget's going to go through the roof. I'm just letting you guys know that 50 gold is going straight to drink food. So you guys are you guys are back in Fair Bay and these people look excited to see you because that means that the cobalt didn't kill you, which means you probably took care of the cobalt. So these people are are pretty damn happy to see you. There's kind of a like a slow clap situation when they when they see you. This this whole this whole town is kind of rejoicing at your appearance. Cool.

Is our bartender friend? Yeah, Naza Naza would be would be in the crowd. I was going to say Nala, but then I was like, no, that's Lion King. That's the Lion King. We've already done a Lion King. Don't be a party pooper, Jason. No, I'm just saying we even threw him out of a fucking like a window like it was pretty much straight out of the Lion King. It was an accident, but we did it. Does that mean the N word was Simba? And he just can't wait to be king. Holy shit. Oh my God. That was an accident. We totally did it. We're done. We could wrap it up. This whole show is over.

We got it. Disney is going to be giving you a call, Jason. I was about to say Disney. Listen. Whoopsie. Naza is going to walk right up to right up to Dagon and wrap her arms around him. Naza is a hugger, so she's she's just kind of kind of like run up and just like like give him a squeeze, like just like just kind of a little like a little bear hug. And she's Dagon's not incredibly tall, but Naza doesn't. Naza comes up to about chest high on on Dagon. He'll accept the hug and stiffen at first, but then relax and sort of give her give her a hug back and just say, we took care of the Kobold problem.

Your friend can stop crying now. Yeah, he'll he'll he'll be fine. I can't thank you guys enough. This is this is fantastic. Did you mean was it real bad? Did did it give you a lot of trouble? Well, to be honest, I'm kind of glad none of us died, but it wasn't it wasn't too bad. It was it wasn't anything we couldn't handle. What? Sorry, I got it. I got it. It's coming. OK, I just love this, like, because I feel like the next line is like, what the fuck is wrong with you? Like, I just I feel like that's the next line for some reason. I'm going to use that. What the fuck is wrong with you?

Naza, I just like I just feel like that's like she didn't deserve this, but it's coming. I don't know why the fuck is with this. What is wrong with all of you people? It can't be this good here. Do you have any means to defend yourselves? I mean, yeah, we I mean, we have weapons. We just kind of don't normally need them. No town guard or anything. No, no, not really. I mean, I mean, we have we have. I mean, there are a couple of people that just keep an eye on things, but really, we I can't remember the last time they've ever had to fight anything. I mean, usually the hunters take care of any wild animals in the area, and that's pretty much all we need at this.

This is the first time I can remember where someone's actually been attacked. I mean, we've we've had pirates, but usually they just stop through and drink all night and then leave. The kobolds seemed more organized than I've seen kobolds act before. Is this our kobolds known in this area? I mean, yeah, I mean, in the in the forest, though, they they've never bothered us this close to town before. I mean, I don't know. I mean, I I guess this is the first time we've really ever had to think about it. We're definitely going to get together and come up with something.

But in the meantime, I'm sure you guys have taken care of most of them in the area. And we're really appreciative. Can't really we don't really have a lot of money, but I actually was packing something up for you guys. I know you're going to leave soon. So could you could you at least accept that? Just just a little something for the road. Thank you. That's very generous of you. I do think it would be wise to practice up on whatever defenses you have. I have a feeling this isn't going to get better. I like I said, I think we're going to have a town meeting about it tonight.

And yeah, we're we're we're going to seriously weigh our options. Let me let me let me go get the little snack pack. I got together for you guys and I'll be right back. OK, thank you. So now is this going to get ready and take off towards the bar here. So is there anything you guys would like to do before you you start packing up and get ready to leave here? I wasn't joking about the goat. Oh, seriously. Or I don't know, like, is there a butcher? Yeah. Oh, yeah. These people hunt for a living. You can I mean, you probably have a better time just getting a whole boar.

OK, sure. I like how we're just shut away for a pig. I mean, a pig's going to have more meat than a goat. Would I need to do a nature role to figure out what Drake's eat? You can. Yeah. Oh, crit one. It's still a twenty one. It's still a twenty one! They eat bananas. That was so funny. They would have to eat chocolate, which doesn't exist in Theria, peanuts and nougat. Get it? Because name is Snickers. Do you get it? I don't get it. Break it down for me. Oh, careful. Jason might fire you. Caramel. Caramel. OK. You crit one a nature check and still have a twenty one. That's fucking ridiculous.

Is there a penalty still for the fact that it was a crit one? OK, so twenty three for a nature role. So Drake's are very largely carnivorous, almost completely. They have been known to eat small bits of plant life in a pinch, but they love meat. And Drake's in this area specifically get by on eating deer and boar and bears, whole bears. If if if they don't get away fast enough. Now, again, this particular Drake is fucking big. So you're going to need to you're going to need to feed him regularly and a lot. So while a whole boar would kind of it'll tide him over, that's not necessarily a meal.

You're probably going to have to feed him three or four. OK. How much does a boar typically cost? Well, see, if if you were at all like, you know, stay at the end and eat that, you know, a serving of boar would cost you, you know, three to five gold depending on how much you get. A whole boar is probably going to cost you close to 40 or 50 gold. OK. So to feed this Drake for one meal, it's going to cost you upwards of 200 to 250 gold. OK. Gotcha. But you do. So it's it's like you drive you're driving around in a Hummer is what it is. The gas is going to kill you.

So we're going hunting. Pretty much. I think for this first one, I am. If at some point we have like a little time, I probably will go to the butcher, grab the first meal since we are going to be on the road. But we can handle this this Naza stuff first. I guess Corey would look towards the group and say, I don't feel comfortable leaving them here without any protection. The woods. Yeah, the woods and the dangers in them. Dagon and I have both seen firsthand. And if we were to leave without them being prepared, this town is doomed. You know, I don't mind helping them.

It's kind of what I do. Helping people fight to kind of help me. Do you guys care if I just stay here and help them? This just seems dumb. They're going to get themselves killed. Corey is going to be elated that she brought this up because she wanted to grab somebody or train somebody to stay and help defend this town. So with wide eyes, she's going to look at Leila. I think that is a fabulous idea. See, here's how I see it. You guys are you guys are big, Corey. You're kind of really big. But, you know, I'm built for this. I'm built for teaching people who are not used to this.

And I would be more than happy to teach them how to kill things because guess what? I get to kill things. So I'll be more than happy to stay. But is that going to be OK with her? You think she's going to be OK? I don't think she's going to be OK. If I just barge in. I think if we approach it in the right way with the town, they will eventually understand that it's the right choice. OK, you're going to have to approach that with them, because the way I see it, we're like, hey, you guys are terrible at this. And you guys have proven yourself to be weak and not able to take care of yourselves.

Let me leave someone like her here. That's just not going to sound good coming from me. So you might want to. I'll leave that to you. That thing's like your kind of thing. Corey will nod and then look towards the group. Are we all in agreement on this? While I think it's best that we leave someone behind, it seems your quest to Odysseia was urgent. So maybe this shouldn't occupy all your time. Maybe you should meet up with us in Odysseia or even Esterhold along the way. Well, I can always meet up with you guys. It was no problem. You know, I, I can I have a good time finding people.

So I think that me meeting up with you in Odysseia would be fine. I can just meet, you know, I'll probably find you on the way. This would probably take no time at all unless they're complete idiots, which I'm hoping they're not. Good. So settle then. Please be as quick as you can. I don't know what we may run into and we could use your help sooner than later. Well, then don't get your guys in a heap of trouble. You seem relatively smart. So now is going to come back with this. This looks like kind of a messenger bag type of thing. And it is stuffed with goodies.

So she's going to kind of present this to Corey and she's kind of holding the flap shut because there's so much in this thing. Oh, my gosh, she's so cute. I made you guys some sandwiches and there's some drinks and I even put a couple of and she's going to kind of lean into Corey. I even just a couple of those potions in case you guys have another rough night. Corey is going to sort of like do a half smile and take the bag and then address Naza and say, Naza, you've been so kind to myself and my companions. We feel as though we need to return that kindness.

The dangers within the outlying forests are large. We've seen it firsthand. We would feel more comfortable leaving one of our strongest fighters here with you to teach and and show your your town how to defend themselves properly against outside attacks so that this problem doesn't happen again. While she's talking, Leila will kind of like put her hands on her hips and like push out her chest a little bit and start smiling. Naza's just kind of like beam at Corey. Are you serious? She's going to smile again and say, yes, like I said, we want to return the kindness that you've shown us and we would hate to hear of any troubles that might come.

Who's staying behind? I'm actually sorry, Leila will roll her eyes and just go, I am me. Hello. It's all me. I'm here. Um, Naza is going to bound over to Leila and just rap, just bear hug, just kind of bear hug Leila. She'll look really confused for a second and then kind of shrug and go, and then hug her and try not to hurt her. This is great. OK, I'm going to let everybody in town know this. This is fantastic. I can't thank you guys enough. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. She's kind of like hopping up and down while she's thanking you. She's just so adorable.

I want to put her in my pocket. She could probably fit. There's no thanks required. Naza again, we're returning your kindness. Before she walks off, Airlove's going to take both her hands and her hands and look her in the eyes and go, you do tieflings justice. I wish there was more of you in the world. And then squeeze her hands and let go. Naza's kind of like look like just slightly confused for a second. You know, everyone kind of says that when they when they come through town. I don't get it. What what are tieflings like outside of Fair Bay? You've obviously never met my brother.

And then she'll turn and stand behind the group and just kind of. She's obviously put up a wall, but like emotional. So Leila will kind of twerk her head to one side and go, so who's your brother? I know you had a brother. I'd much rather not talk about it, but I and then she'll look back at how I can't remember Nava. Naza. Naza. Naza. I was close in the alphabet and she'll look her in the eyes and kind of disregard the previous comment and be like, really, you. I really appreciate all you've done for us. So she looks she looks kind of confused when you when you bring up the brother statement and just kind of like disengage.

But then the smile like that big beaming smile kind of returns as soon as as soon as you compliment her again. OK, I'm going to let everybody know what's going on and you guys enjoy that. And I really hope you have a safe travel. And thank you again so much. And she is going to just start sprinting to the nearest person she can find and just kind of just start like you can kind of see her like almost not stop in time and run into this person. She's so excited to just tell the first person she sees and then you can kind of like see her point back to the party and just like she's like she could not be more excited about this.

Are you sure we can't keep her? So Layla will turn to the group and go, guys, I probably should go with her. Please stay out of trouble. I really would hate to have to find you in the forest or on a road or, you know, please be safe. Don't be dumb. And I'll meet you guys in Odysseo. I'll help these people fight their way through this. Corey will look at Layla and say, thank you so much for doing this. And it was a pleasure meeting you. And I look forward to meeting again. You too. This will be fun. Don't worry. I get to kill things. It's totally fun. Raylan. Yeah.

So the town has gathered. And you would you would definitely be taking notice of this party. We're looking at the dragon or the Drake. Well, the Drake's the Drake's outside of town. But I would I would say that the party has definitely caught your eye. That's something that's definitely got your attention. I don't know if there's something you'd like to do about that now or wait. I'll see where they're going. I'll kind of use like I'll try to hide amongst the crowd and kind of just eyeball them. Give me a give me a perception check. Twenty two. OK, while you're not picking up a ton of their conversation, you are getting the you are getting the distinct impression that they're they're not settling into town.

They don't they don't intend to stay here. They're they're more or less passing through. And from what you could gather, it seems like they're probably going to be leaving sooner rather than later. OK. Do I know like where they're headed right now? No, you wouldn't know that. I think I'll kind of approach them hands in pockets, whistling, doing a little foot lifting thing. Like I'm not really following them, but it's really obvious that I am. The super nonchalant, shall not. Yeah. Yeah. Well, OK, let's have the rest of the party roll perception. Let's see if we notice this.

Yeah. To see how perceptive you are with me. Boom. So everyone in the party definitely picks up on this, this, this, this halfling who appears to be trying really hard for you not to notice that he's trying really hard. Do we can we see what he looks like or. Yeah, actually. Why don't you describe to the party what what Brelin looks like? Brelin is a halfling. He's got like short, curly black hair. He's wearing like a nice little blue tunic and he's got a lute strapped to his back. And obviously he's got his hands in his pockets and he's just whistling, not looking at you, but looking every like every other second, looking away.

And then just kind of shuffling his feet or lifting his feet up and following you guys a little, a little portly. Not too, not too fat, but he's got a little gut. Well, they're going to look up from our conversation that we're having and look at Brelin and say, can we help you? He's kind of look shocked. Oh, I'm sorry. I just just just wondering if you guys are heading out anytime soon. Why? Well, I want to leave town, too, but obviously things out there gobbled me up in two seconds and the last people I was with, they kind of left me here. Why? He's going to look in the back at, I assume, Erolove.

And he's going to wave. Oh, hi. They didn't like my singing. You're a bard, I assume, by the lute and the singing. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I'm trained. I'm pretty good, but I guess these guys just didn't like the selection I had for him. I'm sorry. I missed the point there where we could help you. Oh, well, I'm just trying to get out of town. Just trying to leave. I could use, I guess, not really bodyguards, but companions. Maybe I can. I'm not a bother. I don't need as much as everybody else. Corey has a smile on her face because as previously established, she likes little people and she is going to run over to Braylin and pick him up, spin him around in a big circle and say, "He's so tiny!" I'm definitely going to be kicking and screaming, "Oh my God, oh my God, oh my God!" Well, she seems to like you.

That's an understatement. Hold on. Here's the thing. We are looking for people to join us. That much is true, but we're looking more towards someone who could fight. Oh, that's not a problem at all. Hopefully he's not in the air anymore, but if he's not in the air and he's on the ground, he's going to whip out his short sword and kind of just... You know how people only do fake karate? They do those moves that don't make any sense. They're going to be doing that with his short sword with a serious look on his face. Corey's going to look at Dagon and say, "How can you not think that's adorable?" Adorable or not, I'm not sure he's quite what we're looking for.

So to Erolove, Erolove's actually a trained soldier. While Corey and Dagon may find this adorable, Dagon may find this ridiculous, Erolove's going to know that he knows nothing about swordplay, apparently. Have you ever held a sword before? Yeah, definitely. With the last group, we definitely had a few encounters with run-of-the-mill kobolds and things like that. It's more of dodging traps and dodging pots getting thrown at you than really fighting them, but I've taken down a few. With your sword? Yeah. He's going to nod. She's going to look skeptical. I'm sorry.

I've seen swords in battle before, and you obviously have never held one before, not trained in it. He's going to shrug. "Oh yeah, I wasn't trained in it. I was too busy playing this thing." And he's pointing to the loot on his back. Well, since our last battle, it's been proven to us that we need healing. Are you trained in that? He's going to have a half-smile. He's like, "Well, definitely. Some of my songs have been known to brighten up the spirits, heal wounds, things like that." She'll look to Dagon. Would you care to have his company? Corey's just going to have a big smile and almost saying, "Please!" with her eyes.

Air Lift's going to try not to smirk at Corey because it's making her happy that you're happy. Well, you're welcome to come. We are headed west. All I can say is good luck and keep up. Okay, sure. He's going to put his head back in confusion. I'm headed wherever you guys are going. Do me a favor, everyone. Roll a perception check, please. The complete opposite of mine. Okay. Dagon and Corey are going to hear a noise. It's really tough to pick up where it's coming from at first. It sounds like a scraping. At first, you just think, "Okay, someone's dragging something." It doesn't go away.

It's appearing to get louder and louder. Eventually, Corey and Dagon both identify where the noise is coming from almost at the exact same time. What this appears to be is actor Ronis only completely crushed. His armor is wrapped around his body and he appears to be dragging one leg. There's a noticeable limp, something that he's quite noticeably-- He's been through the wringer, which obviously you watched happen. You saw what happened to him. And he appears to be dragging himself into Fair Bay. And he appears to be heading in your direction. Dagon will look at Corey.

Do you see that, right? I can't believe it, but yes, I think that's actor Ronis. What is going on? I think at this point they rush over. Corey would probably pull out her weapon just in case. He's got a bit of a zombie shuffle going on. We'll come up at a guarded distance, a few feet away. Actor Ronis is going to keep limping in Dagon's direction. As he gets closer, he extends a hand to Dagon. I don't know how close you'd let him get to you. He's got a surprised, horrified look on his face. What the hell is going on here? I look down at his hand and up at his head.

He won't take it yet, though. He's not extending it necessarily to shake it, but an offering gesture. But when he gets within hearing distance, not shouting, but softly, his helmet is going to look in Dagon's direction. He's going to say, "Mr. Page, please stand to my horse." His helmet is going to look at Corey and say, "Hello, Corey." He's going to do that thing where he falls on his knees and then falls face-forward on the ground and stops moving. I would imagine this would be jarring for both Aralav and Brelyn, who have no fucking idea who this is.

Aralav's giving a what-the-fuck glance to Corey and Dagon, like, "What's going on?" Because Dagon's just going to speak under his breath to himself, "Mr. Page? What the hell is Mr. Page?" Did he just call me a whore? No, I'm just kidding. Oh, I was like, "Is my English that bad?" No, no, no. Oh, hi, whore. So, sorry, he's down on the ground now? Yeah, he's face-flat on the ground. Okay, Dagon's going to run over, kneel down, and flip him over. Brelyn's going to kind of shuffle slowly over and say, "Do you need me to sing him a song or something?" Probably.

Hold on. Actoronis? He's completely unresponsive. Do me a favor, roll Perception. Me? Sorry, Dagon. Okay. 27. Actoronis appears to have been the human equivalent of a car wreck. If he were a car, you would have declared him totaled and moved on. His armor is wrapped around his body, and it's pretty tight. You are not picking up any signs of life. It doesn't appear as though he's breathing. It doesn't appear as though he's moving whatsoever. He is definitely, apparently, unconscious. And for all intents and purposes, it would appear as though Actoronis is dead.

Dagon, I'll just look up at Kori. How did he get here? How is this even possible? She's going to look back at Dagon, very confused, and say, "I have no idea, but we should get him inside." Is he even alive? Well, he shouldn't be. We saw this man die. He'd die? He was crushed by a troll. He sure looks like it. Braylin's going to chuckle and stop himself. Braylin, is there anything you can do? He's going to scratch his hair, a messy whole hand into the hair. Yeah, it might hurt a little bit if you don't like the song. But, yeah, I can bring him back. Okay, Dagon, we'll look at Braylin.

Please, if there's something you can do, do it. Okay, he's going to say, "Leave him on the ground." And then he's going to whoop around the loot. Okay, well, let me ask you a question, Braylin. Hee hee hee hee hee. Nice. What song do you sing? I will sing "Knockin' on Heaven's Door." Yes. So he's going to whoop, yeah, he's got the loot. He's going to start tapping his feet and he's going to sing in the best Bob Dylan accent he can. Mama take this badge off of me. I can't use it anymore. It's getting dark, too dark to see. I feel I'm knocking on heaven's door.

And then he's going to sing the chorus if you guys want. Yes. Knockin' on heaven's door. And then I guess whatever magic's coming off of him is going to kind of flow onto the body of Actaronis on the ground. So we've established Pearl Jam and Bob Dylan. This is beautiful. Yeah, okay. Would probably be a little bit of shuffling, well, minimal shuffling of his armor. And he would slowly bring his hands together and clap. And then he would say, brilliant. Really slowly, unless you stop him, but he's going to, like, wild grunting and kind of like what my father does when he's standing up.

Just like, ugh, ugh, and kind of like trying to get a hole in the ground. And you can clearly see his armor, like, restraining some of his movements. Do we want to get him inside or? James, did you tell us he wasn't breathing? I did not. Okay. Just wondering. At this point, a few of the local townspeople are going to start to hustle over. And genuine concern. Is everything okay here? Is this man okay? Brelin's going to step forward. Nothing to see here, folks. Just practicing the new play. Put some gold if you want another preview. [Laughter] Genuine confusion sets in with these three gentlemen.

Okay, you folks need anything. We're going to be over here. All right. And they just kind of shuffle away. But doing that thing where they keep glancing over their shoulders just to make sure that, you know, there wasn't some form of assault or something. Something awful. That man's going to go up to Dagon. Hey, buddy, you should probably get your friend to an alley or a bed or something and not on the street. Yes, you're absolutely right. Someone grab his other arm. Let's get him into the inn. Thank you. I wouldn't mind sitting down. So heading, okay. Heading back to the inn here.

You're going to go through these doors and same thing as before, warm, friendly smile. Which you kind of get from everybody in town, but specifically from Clay. He's pretty easygoing. And then he's going to notice you're not dragging Actoronus, but you are supporting him, helping him to stand up. And Clay's going to hustle around from the counter. Are you folks OK? Do you need any help? Maybe some water, please. Sure, sure. Give me give me give me one minute. And he's kind of looking around frantically for like a jug of water, water, water, water, water. OK.

And he's going to hustle down the hallway here. I guess we would get Actoronus into the nearest chair. Yeah, sure. OK. And I guess you'll sit down with a thud. Like a long creek. Her love's going to be like, what is going on? Oh, first of all, sorry about that. I just shut my, I just rested my eyes for a moment. But everything's good for now. My name's Sir Actoronus Sidoal Athanasius. I'm a Knight Rider from Onakal. I said Knight Rider. I'm afraid I'm going to have to cut to the chase, but I already know for Trixie and Sevedus what of Haven. Actoronus, you know, you know what happened, do you not?

You... I do. That monster got the better of me and I failed you all. I'm sorry. And he looks down at his armor and it's like, and my armor took the like the blunt of it. It's all wrecked. If my father could see it, he'd be so mad. Actoronus, we saw you die. I... you were swallowed into the ground. How are you even here right now? I'm afraid I don't feel entirely great. I mean, I'm... there is some clarity that I... My thoughts are clearer now than they were when I first encountered you for some reason. But my whole body is killing me. It's really hard to just stand up.

My breath is short, very short. But looking back on what happened, I feel like the divine powers in me, they just increased tenfold. It's hard to explain. Indeed. Take on a look at the rest of the group. Does anybody have any clue what might be happening here right now? Can I roll a religion check? Sure can. I didn't know if I could yet. Ha! Nice. Errolove would have a pretty good damn idea what's going on here. Based on what she's seen so far, and based on the description of the events that she's been given, between the troll and falling in the crevice and everything and him just getting back up and walking away.

Errolove is going to surmise that Actoronus is a revenant. In Theria, because it differs from the book and I have to explain this, there are many things that can come back from the dead. Sadly, most of those things seem to be put on the planet to murder. I mean, between just zombies, skeletons, ghouls, vampires, all that stuff. Revenants are the one thing that historically, the few cases that have been documented, the one tie that binds them all seems to be that they were good people when they were alive. They were doing some form of good, some sort of charitable work.

They may have been holy people, they may have been noble knights, defenders of someone or something. But that seems to be the one tie that binds them, almost as if something has put them back in the game. Something or someone decided that their work in Theria isn't done and they were brought back for one reason or another. Traditionally, when a revenant dies a second time, that's it. They don't come back. There have been no documented cases that Erolove is aware where a revenant has died and come back. At least, as a revenant. So the only thing Erolove wouldn't be aware of is that Actarinus was a revenant before all this happened.

Okay, so I'm gonna... Erolove figured all that out while they were talking, I'm guessing, and right after Dagon says "Does anybody know what's going on?" she's gonna give a searching gaze to Actarinus and go "Do you know what you are?" I'm a rashebar knight. My life is devoted to protecting my friends, the people. I live by the creed of my family and my order. That's all I know. All I want to do is do good. And that's why you were brought back. You were dead and the gods brought you back. You're what everyone would call a revenant. You have purpose on this plane and the gods brought you back for it.

Erolove's gonna kinda look back and forth between Erolove and Actarinus and say "Revelant? Is that contagious?" No. The gods choose you to become one once you die. I find that very hard to believe. I've never been a holy man myself. I've never praised the name of a single god. I've worked with a bunch of holy people. They were really on the ball with gods. You may not praise the name of the gods, but they praise your name. Oh, that reminds me actually. Dagon and Kori, you might find that a little strange for me to say, but I precisely know where you are right now.

You're right, I do find that strange. Well, I mean, I've known ever since I crawled up that hole. I know where you are. This is why I came to this town. I don't know what town this is. Whatever brought me back, there's something that links me to you. Maybe, I don't know. I know I failed you with that troll. Maybe I'm here to atone for that. Either way, I'm not going away from you. Ever. I will stand by your side. I will protect you. Or ever. Please don't think you failed us. If anything, I feel we failed you for not sticking around. But you have to understand the position we were in.

Haven had turned. You and Trixie and Sevedis were all killed. And we had to leave. But I'm glad you have found us. And I'm glad somebody has given you a second chance. Well, thank you, Dagon. I'll make it count this time. I'm afraid my body is not what it used to be. I'm not as in a good shape as I was. But he looks at his armor and shield. You can see his shield. It used to be really beautiful and large. Now it's all a jumbled mess. Although the symbol in the middle seems to be the only thing that's intact still. And he's like, I'm afraid I will have to keep my distances on the battlefield, but I will be even closer to you than before.

On the battlefield, that is. Because I don't know anything about you. For now. Tori is going to look at Actaronis and say, if the gods have chosen you, then we would be remiss not to welcome you back. And she's going to put her hand on his shoulder and like with very caring eyes, welcome back, Actaronis. He's gonna nod. Somewhat. As you probably noticed, we have a couple new people with us. This is Erolove and Brailin. It's a pleasure to meet you. Erolove will nod. Brailin's gonna wave. Oh, sorry. Go ahead. I was just gonna say, it's a pleasure to work with someone chosen by the gods.

Oh, please. I'm just a great knight. Don't...don't flatter me. Well, then I'm glad to be working with a great knight. Oh, why thank you. He looks down to Brailin and he's gonna go, do you have any more of these songs? Uh, yeah. Yeah, I got a lot. But the last group I was with, they didn't like them as much. Well, they don't have good taste. He's gonna nod and smile. Oh. It would appear as though you guys have a party again. Yay. Without a tink. Well, hey, you know. Got it. It's fine. What's the worst that could possibly happen? At least we have something to heal us. 'Cause that's what's gonna happen, Susan.

Whatever the worst thing that could possibly happen, that's what's gonna happen. We're gonna be attacked by a horde of bunnies that are the cutest, sweetest things ever and we'll just die from cuteness. Everyone will endurance against cute. I'd be okay with that, though. That's a pretty good way to go out. That's right up there with a dragon. That's right up there. That's pretty. How would you guys like to proceed? Do you wanna stay in town another day? Do you wanna hit the road? I mean, you still have plenty of time to travel if you're heading out today. Yeah.

I think we should get going. Actor on this thing, like, if we have enough time, I don't know if there's a courier service, like messengers or something, 'cause I talk with the party as well, but... Because I feel a little bad for leaving them with their own things to do. I don't know. I feel it personally as though Lockfort unintentionally, but with some intention, were the cause of the deaths of our friends. So I feel no need to warn them. They're on their own from here. Corey, I'm sure there were no ill intentions from them. They did say that they tricked adventurers into their deaths.

Did they? Oh. Well, then... I believe the exact words were, "Well, as long as they're eating outsiders, they're not eating us." Something along those lines. Yeah, we owe them nothing. I see your point. What do you want? Forgiveness is a virtue of the strong. You know, forgive and forget. I agree. Let's move on. Well, I guess that would bring you guys to the next bit of business, which is your Drake. Snickers. Snickers. You still say it weird. Snickers? You're like Snickers. Snickers. Snickers. Snickers the Drake. I do say it. Why do I say that weird? Now I'm hearing it.

Do I have a speech impediment? I'm not weird. It only comes when you say Snickers. Snickers. Now the words lost all meaning. I'm assuming you're hitting the butcher shop. Yes. Well, okay. Walking into the butcher shop, there is an older gentleman behind the counter here, and this place is stocked with meat. Fully stocked. The stuff on display, though, is more cutlets and, you know, steaks, that kind of thing. So you've got like boar steak and things, but not a lot of whole meats. So that's more a special request thing, because not a lot of people in town request, you know, "Give me a whole goat or a whole boar," or something like that.

Right. Yeah. Well, walking in, I guess Cory would shine a big smile towards the older man and say, "Excuse me, sir. I had some questions about some product I was hoping to get from you." Oh, certainly, young lady. What can I get you? And he is not thrown off at all that Cory's a Goliath. Oh, awesome. I'm looking for boar. We've got tons of boar. How much do you need? About three or four. Yeah, okay. Just, you can choose a few cuts if you like? Oh, no, no, no. Whole boar. Oh. Oh, I suppose you would eat a lot. Okay. Okay. Yeah, I have some in the back. Alive or dead?

Do you prefer your meals alive? I was just thinking, would Snickers prefer to kill her own meal? Sort of like a snake with nice, you know? If you were to feed Snickers, just pre-dead boar, I don't think she's going to object. All right. So this man's going to go into the back and start dragging out. These are big boar. These are pretty large. And one by one, he's going to start dragging them out. And they're kind of wrapped in burlap. And he's going to start dragging them out and kind of like letting it go. And it'll kind of thump onto the wood floor of this little shop.

And after the third one, this guy's kind of exhausted. Did you need some help with that, sir? Oh, I've got it. I've got it. Oh, there's three, right? Jason, how much would it be for a full meal for the drink? You're looking at at least three. Okay, three is fine, sir. Thank you. All right. Is that any... Do you need anything else or is that fine? I think that'll be fine for now. Thank you. All right. That'll be... Well, I'll tell you what. I'll give you a little bit of a discount because I didn't have to cut anything. How's 140 gold sound? That sounds lovely. Again, thank you so much.

I sincerely appreciate it. Not a problem. Do you need help getting it to your wagon? Would I be able to easily carry these boars, Jason? A couple of them. You know, three of them are... I mean, you could... if you flicked them over your back, Corey could probably carry all three of these, really. Okay, she's going to start to load up until she has all three and then she's just going to give a nod and say, "No, I've got it from here. Thank you very much again." He's going to give a slightly shocked expression. It's like, "Oh, shit. Okay, fine." Right. The rest of the party meeting Snickers, I would imagine is a bit of a shock because that is not a typical means of conveyance.

So let's say the party is marching outside of town now and Snickers is lashed up to a tree on the outskirts of town here. So, Braylon and Actaronis, what would be their reaction at seeing Snickers? Braylon would kind of wait for everyone to move in front of him and then hide behind whoever is the biggest person there, so probably I think Corey's the tallest, so he'd hide behind Corey. Yeah, it should be noted these boar are larger than Braylon in terms of mass. Oh, that's a lot of boar. He'd probably try to hide behind her, but then not have any room so he'd hide behind Actaronis.

He'd go down the line. Yeah, he'd go, "I can't fit. Okay, then he'd go behind Actaronis." Would Actaronis know that it's specifically a mount? Well, it's got a harness. Corey is specifically feeding it. Okay, so Actaronis is just going to limp forward and in a kind of excited voice is going to say, "You actually have a drake as your mount? This is incredible. Can I ride it?" That's hopefully what we'll be able to have happen as we head towards Odysseus. I do think we should feed him first, but he should be able to hold everybody. Okay. Is Snickers a he or she?

Hmm, I'm going to say it's a he. I'm going to let you choose. It's a he. I'll lift up the tail. So Snickers is a dude drake. Okay, been established. Good. So how are you choosing to feed Snickers here? Well, can I roll a perception or something to see what his demeanor is as we're approaching him? Like, is he tired or frustrated or I don't know? Just longing, wanting more out of life. 25. Snickers appears to be pretty calm and then as soon as he sees Corey, kind of get a tiny bit excitable. Muscles kind of tense up a bit, just almost not quite like hopping up and down, but just like definitely a little movement in place.

And then if Corey gets close enough, Snickers is going to wheel its head closer to Corey and almost kind of like nuzzle. She's going to return with like some pets and then she's going to drag over one of the boars and say, "I brought you breakfast." Because I don't know what time of day it is, so I'm just going to assume that it's morning time. This is just afternoon. Okay. "I brought you lunch, Snickers." This Drake is going to tear into these boar, swallowing the first one whole and then just kind of tilting its head back and just kind of doing these weird... imagine an iguana eating.

Almost something like that. Just huge, like kind of like snapping. You can hear bones crunching in its mouth. It's pretty intimidating, especially to someone like Braylin. Yeah. This Drake could eat him whole. He's never seen one of these before, so he's going to kind of not tug on Actaronis' mail because he can't because it's part of him. So he's going to kind of knock on the side of his leg and ask for his ear. And he's going to say, "So that thing's trained, right?" It would seem so. Don't you see the bond between mount and mount... mountie? I don't know what the word is.

He's still looking at the Drake and nodding as you say that. He's going to nod and still keep his gaze on the Drake and say, "I'm not worried about the writer. I'm worried about the me." Well, if you're not delicious, you should be fine. Does Corey overhear this at all or is it like whispering? Roll a perception there, Corey. Crit. Crit. Crit. Crit. Corey hears that and maybe some conversations back in town. As she's sort of like petting like the scruff underneath Snickers' neck, you know how you do with like a cat. She's going to speak to Braelyn but not look at him.

She's like, "Don't worry, Snickers won't harm you if I tell him not to." I already changed genders, guys. They. He's going to still keep his distance and kind of say, shout from where he's at. Thanks. Braelyn does not appear to be convinced. Yeah. Snickers is going to finish off the last of the boar and appears to be pretty satisfied. So if you guys want to take off, you are more than welcome to. I think it's going to be easier with Braelyn to make everybody fit on this Drake. Yeah, this Drake is huge. This is a big Drake. The party can fit on the back of this Drake.

Again, not the most comfortable of rides, but you can totally do it. Okay. Well, after he's done, I think Cory will mount Snickers and look towards the party, outstretch her hand and say, "Are we leaving?" Air Love will join you. She'll get on the back of the Drake. I guess we should tell Actaronis where we're going. It's kind of in the dark there. Doesn't matter. Let's go. As the camera pans up, you hear Actaronis asking, "Where are we going?" No time. Damn it, man. It's too important. You said it was a little after noon, Jason? Yes. So if we were to head towards Esterholt, when approximately would we get there?

On a Drake? Okay. Even on a Drake, you gotta go through Hero's March. It's gonna take a while. Even on the back of a Drake, you're looking at at least two days. I didn't want to camp out, Jason. I didn't want to camp out in the woods. I know. I understand. I don't think you understand. We're not doing that. We're camping with a Drake. Yeah. Would I do that to you again? Yes. Yes, you do. I mean, we don't really have a choice, guys. We kind of just gotta do it. Yeah. I mean, we can ride through the night, though. Yeah. That's my thought, too, because there only needs to be one person awake to direct Snickers.

But be careful not to exhaust your mount. It's important. Make sure you treat it good. Snickers differs from a horse in a few key areas. Go on. Snickers moves a little faster than a horse, mainly due to the fact that its steps are larger. Two, it defends itself a little better than a horse would. It can take a little more damage than a horse. It also eats a hell of a lot more than a horse. It takes a bit more to exhaust it. A Drake can be on the road a lot longer than a horse would. They hold onto water a little better. But when they do fuel up, they really fuel up.

They can drain small ponds if they really wanted to. And as you can see, it could cost you a small fortune in keeping this thing fed. I just realized something. Am I going to need to carry around little baggies for when Snickers has to go to the bathroom? I'm just kidding. Sorry. Well, replace the word "little." You just use your backpack? There's no laws in Therian. Dude, I mean, there are werewolf attacks. They're not really worried about pooper scooper laws. That would be hilarious, though. Poop bag of holding. Good night. Nice. Badoonktish. All right, everyone.

Let's... I swear to God, if you say roll initiative, I'm going to kill you. What? That was the last joke. I'm sorry. Okay. Now it's going to be serious. No, but seriously, roll initiative. Hours on the road. Night is beginning to fall. And the sun is setting. Are you guys going to plow forward, or is this something where you'd like to stop and set up a camp? What's the region like? Is it famous for having huge monsters? Because that's the one mistake we did. That's true. You know what? Do me a favor. Give me a nature check or a history check. I'll go with... surprisingly, nature.

Nature? This is everyone? Everyone. Let's see, my history is better. Crap. 15. 32. Crit for... Jamie. I got a 12, so I thought it was a crit. My bad. Dagon's never been to this area. Erolove just forgot everything she ever knew, ever. She was just through here. Bralin's too busy picking his nose at a 15, always. Let's see here. 25 and 32. That'll get you some stuff. So the area you're heading through is called Hero's March. And that is this gorgeous, gorgeous little bit of coastal highway that leads from Esterholt to Fair Bay. And wraps around a forest called Highmantle.

Now, the road itself is pretty, pretty vacant. Not a lot of stuff. Because it's near the coast, there... Okay, there are a few things in the water that could be dangerous. But you're not sailing, so that's not a worry. The problem comes from the forest. Now, this area is thick with a few different things. There's kind of a hierarchy. Kobolds have been a problem in this area for passersby, but they usually don't stray too far from the forest because the trees give them cover, there's, you know, there's, there's, there's safety there for them. So while they will kind of ambush people here and there, they don't really bother with the highway because there's, there's a fair bit of traffic coming out of Esterholt.

What you may have to worry about are hill giants. Now... It wasn't even a joke. The thing about hill giants is they also live in the forest, specifically more towards the blistering peaks, Black Rock Mountains, that kind of thing. They like that kind of climate. Now, they will come down and they have been known to attack people on the highway if, if they're in larger packs or if they feel like they could pick someone off. Now, now they do like to eat people in general. They will do that. They also... I said people. I'm gonna view it now. They have been known to do that.

They usually attack packs of people because they're, they're kind of slow moving, so it's a lot easier for them to just kind of scoop in and try to grab at least one person in a pack of ten instead of chase one single person because one single person is probably going to get away from a hill giant. As long as they have some means of conveyance other than being on foot or they can hide or something, they can, you can get away from a hill giant pretty, pretty simply. Their reflexes are terrible. They... They are hard to fight if you're going to stand in front of it, but as long as you keep some sort of distance and don't let it get a hold of you, you're, you're usually doing pretty fine.

Okay, let's split up guys. We can cover more ground if we split up. They don't like people who are separated, so... Or we could, if we hear or see anything, just run and continue on. I mean our drake's got to be pretty fast. Hill giant sounds like it might be pretty slow. Very true. This is all very true. That's my two cents. I'm gonna mute again. Yeah, we, we might want to push through the night then. Okay. Um, they have had some problems with basilisks in the area. Okay. Jesus. Couple of other things. I mean, it's, there's, there's, it's an ecosystem. It's very fragile.

But yeah, that's usually the closer you get to the forest or the mountains and, you know, um, the closer you get to civilization, these, these things pretty much stop though. So you got that going for you. Pushing through the night. So the party is going to ride through the night and you will be, you will be fairly close to the city of Esterholt by the time dawn rolls around. This is some pretty hard riding, stopping every, every, you know, every couple of hours to stretch your legs and let the, let the drake get a, let Snickers get a couple of moments of rest before you head back out.

And it has been a fairly uneventful journey for you guys. Wow. Me too. I'll take it. Yeah. I feel like I fucking knew it. Roll for death. Everyone roll perception, please. Twinsies. Good rolls. Yeah. Okay. Something you have noticed, um, and this is over the last couple of hours, it's gotten, uh, increasingly worse. Um, it's, it's now fully, it's, it's daytime. Um, and you've been, you've been on the road now for a while. So it, I mean, it's, it's, it's been almost a couple of days in, in, in transit. And again, you've been stopping minimally, you've been resting minimally, stopping every once in a while to get a little bite to eat or something, but it's all very much like, let's keep going.

Um, I imagine anytime you could, you can try to lean on each other and get a nap on the back of the strakes back, take turns driving, so to speak. Uh, but it's all in a, it's all in an effort, I'm guessing to not, not camp. Would I be correct? Okay. Absolutely. We learned our lesson. Okay. It's not that camping in all of the area is bad. There's just certain places. Oh, you know, when you have that fish, you don't have it for a while. Right. Perfect. Yep. That's a good analogy. Right. Something over the last couple of hours you've been noticing is that there, it started as a trickle, but man, there's a lot of travelers on the road and they all seem to be heading towards Fair Bay, which.

It's a little weird because Fair Bay doesn't get that much. It's not really a destination town. And these people appear to be in a hurry. You'd say, uh, not, not super panicked, but these people are definitely like, okay, let's, let's go, let's go. And the closer you get to Esterhold, the thicker, it's almost a mob of people. It's almost, uh, it's almost like an Exodus, uh, like people are leaving Esterhold. Um, does it look in the least bit organized? Like, are there like armed forces with them? No, no. Organized is not how you describe this. Yeah. The closer you get to Esterhold, the more panicked it actually appears as though, um, not to the point where people are trampling over each other, but people are definitely rushing each other.

Like, let's go move, move, move, move, that kind of thing. Do we see any sort of like damage? Like is there smoke or, or like buildings tumbled over or like dead bodies or? Um, you are not seeing anything. You are not, you're not that close to the city yet. Oh, okay. Uh, and it doesn't appear as though, um, it doesn't appear as though that, uh, there's any real reason that you could see these people aren't attacking each other. There's nothing chasing them. It doesn't, it doesn't look like they'd be moving a lot faster if something were physically actually chasing them right behind them.

But there is definitely some reason why these people would be leaving a populated city like that. And a lot of these people are leaving with nothing. They're leaving with just the clothing on their back or a cart or anything. It doesn't appear as though the people have packed up and moved so much as just left. Should we ask someone, guys? Yes. What's going on? Should we worry them with the Halo Giants? Oh yeah. Hey guys, look out. Don't camp on the way. Um, yeah. Can we just randomly stop somebody or? You sure can. Um, so just kind of reaching out, I would imagine it's like, hold on one second.

Just kind of like stopping anybody on the road. And, uh, a younger guy is going to, uh, he's just walking and he's going to stop. You people aren't heading to Esterhold, are you? Yes. Um, where, where is everyone going? Why are you all leaving? I'm high of family in, in Lockford. I'm going to try to, I'm going to try to meet up with them. It's not safe in Esterhold. Don't, don't go to Esterhold. I wouldn't go to Lockford either. Maybe you can exchange information. What? What, uh, what has happened? It's a dragon. Uh, this dragon flew right over the city and stopped just outside of it and pelted the city with something.

I, I, I, I didn't get a chance to see. I, I just, everyone just started leaving. We all just decided before it could destroy any of us, we should just leave and get out. Um, was this, did this just happen? What, do you know, like, do you fear it returning? Um, I honestly have no idea. This was just a few hours ago, but I didn't stick around to find out. I would seriously not recommend you going there right now. Do you know where it came from? I have no idea. I, I know it, I know it took out a house. That's, that's, that's all I know. I, I, some of the local shops got beat up pretty bad.

He didn't seem to, to, to attack the city, at least not head on. I'm pretty sure he could have burned the whole thing down if he wanted to. Do you know where the dragon went? Uh, it flew south, uh, just, just, just outside the, just outside the city. That's the last I, I saw of it. And then again, he pelted the city with something. And then that, that's when most of us took off. He, what kind of dragon was it? It was a red dragon, but I, I, I didn't know they could get that big. I, I, I mean, I've, I've heard stories up north and everything, but I, I, I didn't know they could get that big.

Just trust me. Don't, don't, don't, don't head to Astarhorn. Jason, did we hear the horn? You would not have heard the horn. Is there a check we could do based on what he's told us? Big red dragon, abnormally big red dragon? This history or... You could run a history check, but there's, okay. You could definitely run a history check. Everybody? Go ahead. Oh God. Good lord, you guys are on it with the rolls. Hey, I got a crit. Oh, that's a 15. Oh, a crit. That's a crit. I was gonna say say it, but we don't say anything. There's two crits. Geez. Wow. Okay. We know everything.

We know all of it. So Dagon, Dagon, Arilov, Brailin, again, not enough evidence to be sure. And this would be like saying, oh yeah, the fucking jolly green giants outside beaten up the town. It's crazy. It's, it, that is absurd, but the largest red dragon you would know of would be Strahd. And again, that's, that's more stories. Like that's something you tell your kids. It's like, oh, there was a giant red dragon once that roamed the hundreds of years ago. It's that kind of thing. It's not, it's nothing that people of Theriave had to deal with in centuries.

So, I mean the, the timeline wise, the closest one of you would be Dagon because he's, he's old enough, you know, but it's still just stories to him too. He's never actually seen Strahd. Well guys, I think it's Strahd. I'm 100% certain. I have no doubts. Should we try to avoid Usterholt now or? Well, yeah, that's, that's something we should discuss because do we offer? I'm looking at the map and I'm just, I don't know how to. Nowhere else to go, right? You're kind of in the middle of nowhere is the problem. The only other thing you could do is go through the mountains.

With the giants. With the giants. Or go along the coast. Another option. There are sea monsters. You can't just bypass Usterholt, you'd have to go through? Well, I mean, you could go, I mean, you could go around Usterholt and you can just stick to the coastline and it's, it's going to take you a bit longer because you're off the beaten path. You're, you're going to be travel over rocky coastline and stuff, but yeah, you could totally do that. You're traveling on Drakeback, so it's a little, you know. I vote not dragon. Let's not do that thing. Well, dragon went south and we're going to head south.

Yeah, it's not, yeah, it's not an Usterholt right now. If, okay, character wise, I would assume a dragon would go towards the mountains. Yeah. But he'd say here, he said south though. The mountains go south. Oh, there's mountains. That's true. That's true. Or the fire isles. They like fire, right? And they're just, yeah. So Braylin's going to ask Dagon, Hey, uh, you're the boss, right? So I probably should have asked this earlier. Where the hell are you going? I love that he's been riding with you for days and it's like, Hey, by the way, Where are we going? I thought we told, I thought we told Braylin.

I think he said west. And he was like, sure. Yeah, whatever. Let's go. I was being too vague. Well, we plan to head to Odysseus south of here, but in light of our new news, I, I'm not so sure. Where is that bracelet pulling you? Right now, um, you guys are fairly close to Esterholt. The bracelet is constantly pulling Dagon in a westernly direction. The problem is the, it, much like a compass, it doesn't operate like a GPS. It's not going to lead you to the roads that would lead to this thing. It is going to lead you to the straightest path, which is a straight line, obviously.

It will take you straight through the Blackrock mountains, which is dangerous on a few, a few levels. One, you guys are gonna have to go mountain climbing, which there's all kinds of dangers inherent in that. I hope you're good climbers if you go that route. Two, there's some critters in the mountains that make climbing even more difficult. They can, if you were to happen upon them. Again, it's not, it's not written in stone that you will, but you know. Hmm. Dagon, what is in Odysseus that you want to seek? Odysseus is my home. Um, we've decided to renew the search for the Eladrin.

And it was our first stop to, to look around to see if there was anything I missed so many years ago. I think we should stay the course. If we do happen to spot a dragon, there should be enough places to hide on the way. Kori is going to look towards Dagon. I agree. We should stay focused on our mission. Rarely do dragons go to cities, so I feel as if we shouldn't have any problems. You know, I was trying to laugh. Try not to laugh while saying that, but that's what Erolove would think. Brelin, Brelin's gonna start playing Don't Fear the Reaper by Blue Oaster Cult.

Yes. That's my song! That's my jam, yo! Then, while we're in Esterhold, in the worst case scenario that something happens, would we not want to prepare a little bit? Assuming there's still a shopkeep in town? I think that would be a very wise idea. And if there's none, I'll leave something on the counter. Riding into the city of Esterhold. Normally, this would be a very bustling city, even at the entrance of this place, there'd be people coming in, going out, there'd be tons of activity. Everyone do me a favor, roll a perception check, please. 35. Great. Yes.

I suck. Brelin did too. I poke my eyes out. No, I actually poke your eyes out with my tail and then you hit me in the face for poking your eyes. Yeah, let's do that one. Someone says, "Nyuk nyuk." I wanna be Curly. Alright, Dagon and Kori. Dagon and Kori are gonna take this city as you guys are walking through. The city's not deserted, but it's definitely a lot quieter than it normally would be. It does appear as though that roughly, if you were to ballpark it, half the city evacuated. The rest of the people stayed behind and the city's in disarray right now.

There seems to be a panic that's set in and people are shuffling about. The other thing you're noticing is a few of the establishments in town appear to have large bolts of wood jammed into them. It wouldn't take much to piece that together that that's what Strahd was tossing into the city. And then at the far, far end of the main street, you can see where there is rubble from what appears to be a destroyed building, but it is spilled out into the street itself. So what would be your first order of business here? Is anyone reacting to us riding in on a Drake with all of these weird looking people?

I would say that there is... people are definitely clearing the way when they see you coming. It's not so much that the Drake is there, though that is a concern. It's more or less like, who the hell are you people and what are you doing here? Because you have an odd band of adventurers. What with the Eladrin and the Goliath, a Tiefling, you know, it's an odd band. And then Acteronus looks like he's been in a fucking car wreck. There's not one human on this roof, I just realized. No. Braelyn, no one's really... no offense, Braelyn, but no one's really worried about you.

No, they probably can't even see me. Does he have a car seat, like a kiddie chair? Aww! I brought my own. Braelyn on board. Oh, on the tail. That's a thing. That exists, we did that. Are we... I guess our main focus is supplies? Or do we want to find out more about what's going on? Or do we care? We just nonchalantly walk in, "Yeah, we need some stuff. Oh, did something happen here? Whatever." Shitty deal. Shitty deal. Sucks to be you guys. Maybe we could do both at the same time. Like, go to the shops and figure out what's going on. Erolove would want to figure out what's going on.

Yeah, I'll... I'd stick around, I'll try to see if there's any injured people in the collapsed building or anything. Alright, so I guess you're splitting up? 'Cause that always works out well. You guys are so flighty, we really, really are. We are in a town, so it could work out better. How about we stay within sight of each other? That's good enough. So it sounds like you guys... Okay, some of you want to maybe stock up on supplies. Yeah. Now, the cool thing is you guys are in Esterhold, which is a fairly metropolitan city. I mean, there are some... This is the kind of city that sells fine cheeses and, like, really good wine, that kind of thing.

There are sections of Esterhold that are pretty upscale. So, on the street, you're going to pass a shop called the Golden Blade. And just the look of this establishment reeks of, "Oh, they have quality stuff." So, who would be heading into the shop? Me, me, me, me, me. I think I'd take a look in. I'll go in too, not that I'm going to buy a weapon, but... I don't want to leave Snickers alone, so I guess I'll sit out on this one. Okay. Actor Onus is going to want my money, so... Are you staying in town, Corey, or are you... Yeah, probably. Just, like, waiting for everybody else to get back so that we can get back on the road.

I really want some information, so she'll probably go into the shop just to talk to someone. Okay. Heading into the shop. There is going to be a very well manicured man floating about the shop. It would appear as though he's taking some sort of inventory. He's jotting some things down. Everyone roll a Perception check, please. Almost a crit. Let's see... Actor Onus and Erolove. And Dagon. Dagon would notice this too. Walking into the shop, the man is going to instantly assess you all. Arch an eyebrow, and then a look of disgust is going to come across his face.

Very much, "These people don't have money." Like, that's the look. That is the exact look he's conveying to you. It's like, you can't afford anything here. Dagon? Like, Dagon would be the one of you, but... But he's so rich. He doesn't know that. You guys have the look of gritty adventurers, not aristocrats who are looking to buy. And the man's going to speak up. "Can I help you?" He sounds like Snape. "Why, yes, my good sir. I am looking for your finest glaive." How much were you looking to spend? "Well, I have this slightly bent silver arrow." "Pretty much the only thing I can part with." The man's...

Okay, so I imagine that Actor Onus is kind of holding this out. Yeah, he's just reaching in his back. "Oh, this is what's been hurting." And the man's going to kind of gesture forward with his hand, but he's going to take the arrow from you with his thumb and index finger. Just like it almost grosses him out to touch anything that came from you. So he's going to take it and kind of examine it. "And this does appear to be actual silver." "Come with me." And again, just kind of like, "Fine, just come with me." And he's going to take you to a stockpile of weapons.

This is a fairly large shop. So all along, you'll go past the common stuff. Your axes, your hammers, your swords, and then you get to a really specific line of weapons. There are brass knuckle-type objects with spikes on them. There are something that looks akin to nunchucks. There is a full-fledged fucking sickle hanging up like a two-handed huge sickle on the wall that appears to be tipped with silver. So this guy has tons of stuff. The other half is dedicated to weapons, the other half is dedicated to some sort of armor or protective objects. And he's going to take you over to a series of glaives.

He appears to have like four or five lined up. And he's just going to kind of motion with his hand. "Do they look good?" Oh, dude, this stuff is tip-top. He's going to look at him like sort of "may I?" Like, "may I touch them?" Like, feel how they weigh and stuff like that. He's going to roll his eyes just slightly. Like, just slightly. And then just nod his head like, "yeah, go ahead." Alright. So he's going to do some sort of, not a routine, but just like shifting it from one hand to another. And seemingly, like, he's really good with it, but he's not going to make a big show out of it.

And I don't know how we're going to go about... I thought you were going to hit him for a second. I wouldn't support this action. Do they have any special properties, I guess? Oh, yeah, well, just go with the glaive that you actually picked out already. Yeah, okay. This one. While that is an excellent choice, I will say that even the silver from the arrow won't be quite enough to cover the expense of this particular weapon. Every time he opens his mouth, Aralov is restraining herself from shaking her head. She starts to and then stops herself. Everything that comes out of this guy's mouth is coated in a shellac of "I'm better than you." They don't step forward.

How much? And he's going to assess the arrow. I would say another 2,500 gold should cover the difference. Does Acheron just have any more arrows sticking out of him? No. I'm just hearing the price. Brelin's going to just cough. Are they going to look at actor Onis and say, "Sorry, even I can't afford that." How about two arrows? Let me haggle now. You've got an arrow, right Dagon? I think I do. I never used it. How much did we have? I had like two. I thought we all kept one as a safety measure. Yeah, some were lost. Corey had the rest. Yeah, but she's not in the shell.

So if you're going to produce another arrow, this guy's going to perk up a little bit. And his attitude's going to change ever so slightly. Just ever so slightly. "Ah, that should cover the cost just fine. My name's Yoast." He's going to hold out his hand to Dagon. Not actor Onis, but to... I'm not going to shake it. Okay. After a few seconds, he's going to get the hint. And to cover, he's going to cough into his hand like, "Oh, I meant to... Okay." Erelove's going to do exactly that. Like, cough to herself. And he's going to look back over to actor Onis. Would you like the item Gift Rat?

Um, no, it'll be fine. Allow me to get some change for you. I'll be right back. How much were the arrows worth? Well, in this case, you're going to be getting back about 2,000 gold. Wow. Silver is, again, a pretty awesome commodity and fairly rare. And certain circles will pay top dollar for it. Good thing you guys stole those. And we bought them. Yeah, at a very discounted price. That's actually why I'm broke. So Yoast is going to come back and offer you your change. Is there anything else that I can get for you fine people today? Do you have any information on the obvious attack on the city?

Oh, the dragon nonsense. Sorry. Yes, it looks like it caused quite devastation throughout the town. I was wondering, did you know what direction it came from? My understanding is that it flew in from the west, caused a small bit of damage in the city, and everyone seemed to panic. All I knew was that I wasn't going to leave my shop over a tiny bit of damage to the lower quarters. It looked like an entire building was destroyed. That's a tiny- But it was nowhere near my shop. Alright, I believe I'm done. This guy's a cunt. I don't know if you're picking up on it.

Oh, that's what it is. Yeah, I don't know if it's coming through, but yeah. I didn't know that was a race in Tharia. You guys are a level 13 cunt. Well, I thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the information you've given us. I must take my leave now, because I feel like I must take a shower or a bath or something. Good day. Can I punch you in the face? Can I just do it? You sure can. Go ahead. No. No. That's not AirLovesM.O. But that's totally Susan's M.O. Susan punches cunts, everyone. Did you know that? Is everyone else just pretty much going to take their leave after that?

I don't want to see this guy. Okay. So, leaving the Golden Blade. I'm imagining you're going to catch up with Corey? Yes. Okay. Okay. The party reconvenes with Corey and is going to kind of fill her in on what you were told. The dragon flew in from the west, did a bit of destruction, and then took off. And the guy was a cunt. Don't forget the fuck. It's very important to the story, Jason. I imagine the story starts off with, "You would not fucking believe this guy." Hey guys, how was the store? Oh my god, you tell him. You tell him. Did you know you're loaded?

Like, completely. All those arrows you have? You're rich. So is there anything else we want to do in this city? It seems like there's... There's a big mansion I really want to loot. We need a good reason to go there. It's big. It's on a hill. No. Well, you could roll... I would have everyone roll a streetwise check. Streetwise. Plus four. Whoa! Plus five. Oh, that's actually not bad. I think they do. Yeah! That's not a strong question. My guy's pretty street savvy. That's awesome. I don't think any of us are street savvy. I was about to say, it's good that one of you in the party is.

Actually, you know what? That's not bad from Actaronis either. Okay, so, Braylin and Actaronis are going to pick up the word on the street here. The popular opinion is that that dragon is Strahd, and that the dragon took off south hours ago. Has not been seen since. And a grouping of paladins from the Temple of Kord in the city are going to attempt to bravely fight this dragon. So that appears to be word on the street. A couple of other things of note is that recently there's been a balance of power shift, and the city's still trying to adjust. They've lost...

Esther Holt recently lost their captain of the guard. There appeared to be some sort of power struggle within the city, the city's underworld specifically. And there was a very bad man by the name of Dormak who recently died and left behind his house and possessions to his wife. All of which right now appear to be of little consequence as far as the underworld stuff goes, because a lot of the city has been abandoned. And including the house that I just mentioned, apparently is abandoned. It's a fairly famous house in the city, so people kind of take notice of stuff like that.

Most of the people from the Temple of Kord have left, and other than that, that would be the stuff that you'd pick up on the street. Let's loot the temple. That's good, right? That'll definitely cause no bad juju at all. Nope. Well, character-wise I don't see any reason for us to stay. I don't either. I really want to loot that house, do not get me wrong. But I see no reason for any of us to want to do that. I just want to go through rolls of toilet paper around it. Or its trees. But Dagon, if we are to go to Odysseus and there's a contingent of Kord paladins going there, at the very least, we won't be alone.

I'm not the biggest fan of Kord followers, but they're courageous and they get the job done, that's for sure. At least if they're out there dealing with the dragon, we won't have to worry about it. Yeah, we've been sidetracked too many times. If they happen to be in Odysseus, we'll deal with it then. But for now I say we push forward. Agreed? I'm going to get Snickers ready, let's go guys. I'm just going to write on the mansion, "Group 2 was here." That's not a matter at all. Just scratch it right into the door. We know what you did in Lockford. And they know what you did in Brightport.

Oh you know. Give and take. Alright. Oh god I'm really nervous. Okay go. Sorry. Do we need to buy more boar? I wasn't sure. I wasn't sure how often this drake needed to be fed. It can go two to three days without food, but again when it does eat, it's going to eat a lot. So you can either feed it every day and give it smaller meals or you can choose to fuel up. It may not be a bad idea to stop at a butcher in Esterhold. Honestly it's going to be a little more expensive than in Fair Bay. But yeah, it's going to be the same kind of thing. Will it eat dead paladin?

Anything. It'll eat meat. What about human? Because then we have an excuse to go to the mansion and have it eat the dead bodies. I don't think we're going to do that. You really want to go to that mansion? Okay I gave up. Let's go. Look at the mansion. It's too stupid for no reason. But Kuri, you should be a fairly experienced hunter if I'm not mistaken. It could also be an option. Oh absolutely. Okay so maybe we take to the road and then as we're going I'll just keep an eye out for anything like deer or I don't know. Have there been any abandoned farms that I could just steal a cow from?

Well Esterhold is not a huge farming community. They're more of a commerce thing. They do import goods from different places they've been known to import from Durn Hollow and from Fair Bay and from different places like that. But they themselves don't like to get their hands dirty with that farming nonsense. Okay. All that dirt. So yeah I'll just keep an eye out as we're going trying to get something. Definitely. Outside the city it will not be hard. There's a section of woods leading south that kind of blend in with the Black Rock Mountains that it shouldn't be too tough to find something to hunt there.

So actually let's do that now. Heading south from Esterhold. Do me a favor. Corey, roll a perception check please. Okay if I'm looking into the woods could I use a nature check? Yeah actually you can. Awesome. 33. 33. Corey would know that deer are rampant in this area and it would be pretty easy for her to kind of pull over and go hunting for a bit. Now it'd be a little time consuming. It'd probably take you a few hours but it would be free. So that's something. Free is good. Free is good. Okay. Does anybody mind if we make a quick meal stop? It's going to allow us to move forward after so I'm all for it.

You could just keep heading south while hunting. Yeah. Drive by. [Laughter] Actually do me a favor and roll a stealth check there. I'm humongous. Okay. Yeah. That's not bad at all. Now do me a favor and roll a nature check. 24. Now do me a favor and roll an athletics check. 22. Okay. In total this takes Corey about 3 hours to bag 6 deer. That's good. That's a lot of deer in 3 hours. That's an incredible amount and you're getting the impression that maybe Corey's good with a bow. Maybe. Maybe. So bringing this back. Just tracking these deer. This is hundreds of pounds of deer now.

Snickers is going to eat quite well. So while that's going down, if the party wants to do anything, talk about anything. Go right ahead. But Snickers is going to be crunching and snapping on these bones and kind of devouring these deer. Okay. I think Corey wants to ask, Dagon when we get to Odysseia do you know what we're looking for? No, not exactly. I would like to just scour the grounds. Just comb the city. Just look for anything out of the ordinary. I was frantic last time I was there and there's a good chance I've missed something. It's good that we have this many people to help look through the city.

From what you've told me it seems pretty grand. Pretty large. So we'll save time there. What's the game plan? Should we meet Strahd along the way or even in the city? That's what they were saying in Esterhold that it's Strahd. Personally I don't want to fight a legendary dragon centuries old. I think we've gotten pretty good at knowing our limitations. We'll probably try to stay out of Strahd's eye if we do encounter him. If he is in the city then what is plan B? If Strahd is in the city we can head down to the coast into the caves. We should be safe there.

There are caves near Odysseus? There are a number of caves underneath Odysseus. Would we have known that, Jason? Or is that just an Eladrin hidden thing? It's pretty well known that they're there. But it's largely considered to be just a network of caves. Unless you know something about the city specifically then that wouldn't really be anything of note. It's like the caves underneath the Overwatch. Is there some way into the city through the caves? I'm asking you to tell me. I don't know. There is a path from the caves that would lead into the city, yes. I didn't know if it was some secret Eladrin thing that only Dagon would know.

Largely there were other inhabitants of Odysseus that would know now. But to Dagon, yes, that's an Eladrin thing that only Eladrin should know about. There's got to be something that remained untouched. I guess we'll find out. There are some things that remained untouched and some things that got touched a lot. Yeah. Oh my god. That poor city. I can't wait to see Dagon's reaction. So I would imagine you guys are getting ready to hit the road again? Yeah. Yes. Alright. So. Hitting the road again. Snickers has been fed, his tummy is full. Do me a favor. Roll a perception check everyone.

Oh shit. Pulling my eye out again. Getting the bad ones out of the way. It's fine. I'm good with that. Okay. So as you guys are saddling up, you're getting ready to hit the road. Acterotus and Erolove are going to notice a grouping of riders heading south. They're going to kind of blow past you while you guys are saddling up and getting ready and they appear to be in a damn big hurry. They also appear to be not the nicest looking bunch of people. The lead rider appears to be fairly short. All of them appear to just be the kind of people you'd find sitting around in a bar all day.

Just not doing much of anything at all. If you get up to do something, it's probably not good. So yeah. But yeah, they have clean blown right past you and are streaking their way south. So I would imagine you're getting back on the road? Yep. So Snickers is going to giddy up again. A tiny bit slower. Now his tummy is full. I'm sure he'd rather take a nap. He has to work off all those calories. It's like big turkey dinner. Let's go jogging. So this is a long ride guys. This is quite a long ride. You're going to be riding a full day to get to Odyssea. And during that time, while it was cloudy before, it had kind of threatened to rain.

But it had been drizzling off and on in spurts. Now it's pretty much a thunderstorm. This is getting pretty nasty. And then as you approach the city, I'd like you to roll one more perception check, please. Let's see here. 23. Yeah, that's the best one. Dagon and Cory are both going to pick up some ungodly noises. And it's tough to really distinguish. You're a couple of hours outside the city now, but it's kind of tough to distinguish between the crackling of thunder and the lightning and such. It sounds like the occasional roar, and it's really tough to make out through the thunder.

But you couldn't really be faulted for saying, "Hey, that sounds like something really big tumbling over." And this will be as you're riding, you're getting the distinct impression that something is happening, either in Odyssea or very near Odyssea. And if craning your head towards the city, it's really tough to make out again because it's through the rain and the thunder and everything. It's getting dark. It's actually quite dark, so it's really tough to kind of distinguish. So it is up to you whether you want to keep going towards the city or not.

But again, this is... you can't be positive. This is one of those things where you're not sure if your mind's playing tricks on you because you were told a dragon's in the area. Maybe there's a bit of paranoia involved because it could just be the storm. Is there any vantage point we can take close by the city to just give it a once-over before we commit? Oh yeah. The way Odyssea's set up, there are two paths. There is one that leads into the city proper, which leads up, and then there is a path that leads south, which would eventually lead to the coastline and the caves and everything.

Before you get to that, there is kind of a perch that would, as you ride up the path to the city, you could get a clear view of the city itself without actually riding into the city. At the risk of embarrassing herself about hearing these sounds, Cori's actually not going to say anything about it. Because she's worried that she's just being paranoid. Sorry, where's this vantage point? Right before the road forks, right? Pretty much right before the road, like before you dedicate into going one way or the other. How far away are we from that? You're still a couple of hours out.

You could get a little bit closer to see if you hear anything after a certain point. Okay, Dagon, I'll just address the group. Something seems off. I know a place where we can take a look at the city before we decide to head in. What seems off? Do you hear or see something? I don't know. It might just be the storm, but I can't help but feel something else is about. I thought that I heard something too, so maybe that's a good idea. Okay, so approaching Odysseum. I want everyone to give me another perception roll, please. Oh my... 33. I have a plus 12 and that's what I get.

Herlov's having an off day. It's raining, there's stuff in my eyes. Let's see here. Okay, Dagon's going to get the best look at this place. So riding up there's kind of a ridge that overlooks the city here. And coming up on this ridge, Dagon's going to get the first clear view of Odysseum that he's had in many, many, many years. And here's what he sees. The once beautifully kept pathways leading into Odysseum have overgrown with shrubbery and they have obviously been manicured in years. There appear to be the corpses of many warforged, scattered about the paths, the interior of the city itself.

And as Dagon scans further into the city, he is going to start to see that the once beautiful towers that if you stood at the top of and looked out you could see for miles. You can get a gorgeous clear view of the mountains. You could pretty much see the city of Overwatch from that tower. I mean it would be off in the distance but you could see it. That appears to... That tower and one adjacent to it appears to have just been completely leveled, crumbled to the ground. There also appear to be the corpses of many paladins. Dagon would kind of put two and two together and would imagine that those were the paladins that were heading there from Esterhold.

There is also another corpse. That would appear to be the body of Strahd, which takes up a massive section of the interior of the city. His body is snaking in and out of the city square. One of the larger towers appears to have crumbled on top of him. There is a lake of blood that would appear to be gushing from, originating from somewhere near his head. It's a little tough to make out through the storm. But there does appear to be motion in the city. And Dagon can just make out what appears to be a figure trying to wriggle their way out from within Strahd's mouth.

But his teeth are spaced out in a manner that is making it very tough for her to clear the lower portion of her body. There are also figures encircling her. And they appear to be the riders that passed them on the road earlier. Pretty much established that they look like scumbags, right? Pretty much. So we should go. Dagon's the only one that's all that. I would say that with that perception check from Braylon and Corey, yeah, Braylon and Corey would see the kind of wanton destruction of the towers and stuff, but they wouldn't be able to make out the, a lot of the figures.

Obviously they'd see Strahd. They'd see that body laying there. That's a pretty, it's like, "Oh, that big fucker!" That's totally something that you'd be able to see. But a lot of the smaller, like I imagine Dagon just has better eyesight. As Enelo wipes the rain out of her eyes and doesn't even see Strahd, she goes, "What do you guys see?" Corey is going to realize that this place is in ruins and she's going to look towards Dagon to gauge his reaction and sort of like put her hand on his shoulder to like see if he's okay. Dagon is in shock initially.

My home is in ruins. I thought after this long that, well of course it might have some overgrowth, but the Grand Tower is gone and he's warforged. What are warforged doing here? You didn't know that warforged occupied the city? Well, to be honest, I haven't been here in over 70 years. I had made a vow not to come here until I found the Aladrin. I guess I didn't want to know what was going on here. We should head in. Do I see Strahd? I think he's dead. What was your roll? 12. That would be so funny. I would say no just because the storm is... I would say you'd see the outline of the city and I'd say that the rain is just in your eyes.

Okay. Is there any sign of the dragon? Do we need to fear him? Okay. Dagon will put himself in check and the dragon is down and someone's in trouble. We should go. We should go help. Who did you see? What did you see? Those riders that passed us. I'm sure it's them. They looked like trouble. Let's just go down. Let's go. Alright. So heading into the city of Odysseus proper. Let's do a thing. Let's do a thing, guys. Let's put some figures on the board. I'm ready. So picture Strahd's body taking up kind of all of this area kind of in the back. So I'm going to go ahead and start putting a few people on the board here and I'm going to ask that you guys do the same.

Everyone roll a perception check, please. I'm not getting you to do that a lot today. Yeah. Okay. So the party is going to see that these do appear to be a grouping of thugs. Thugs is the kindest word you can come up with these type of people. Real stab their mom in the back for some nickels kind of guys. They have appeared to surround this small girl. Now, Corey is going to be the one who hears very distinctly the smallest one in the group who appears to be their leader is going to shout at one of his goons. Pick her up and this guy is going to walk up to this girl who appears to be in really rough shape twice in the time it took you to walk up.

And Dagon are both going to hear her cough deeply like the the the base coming out of this out of this woman is kind of shocking based on her frame but really deep coughing and it would appear as though she's bleeding from her mouth. And as you're walking up that this small man is going to kind of cradle cradle her face very aggressively in his hand and then he's going to strike her in the stomach with his fist. Oh boy. Okay. I don't want to do this but I'm gonna do it. Do they notice us at all. First of all, and the drink. Yeah, they notice Snickers Can I make Snickers snarl.

You took the Drake in with you. Yeah, yeah, let's Okay, we can't leave. If you're going to if you're going to kind of give the signal for for Snickers to because Snickers does not know these people, but wouldn't necessarily be aggressive unless unless Snickers got the vibe from Corey that to be aggressive. Do me a favor, roll a nature check to see how well you're getting this across to Snickers. Oh, hey, there's that situation we talked about. Ladies and gentlemen, that's a crit one, which means I have a 21 nature. Oh, 23. You haven't added the other two.

Yeah, those weren't really that was those weren't really those didn't really wasn't a thing. healthy Snickers is going to get the vague impression that Corey's upset but not exactly sure what she wants Snickers to do about it. So she's just kind of kind of like, like kind of like just like just kind of get like he's going to tense up a bit but not not do anything to to to really like you to snarl or be aggressive at them. Corey Dagan also going to notice the man standing next to this this little guy after he hits after he hits this, this, this girl.

The guy's going to kind of put a hand on his shoulder and kind of start to try and pull him back. Obviously, taking offense is like, hey, hey, like, you know, just he's gonna try and like, pull him back and the little guy's gonna kind of jerk his shoulder for like, get your fucking hand off me. Um, so I guess Corey at this point would, after seeing all that happened, she would dismount and sort of yell over, excuse me, is there a problem here? This entire band of scumbags, they're going to instantly draw their weapons, because they didn't expect anybody else to be here, to be honest, because everyone should be dead.

Apparently. The man is going to turn around, going to turn around and shout towards the party. It's don't concern you. Fuck off. Rude. Dagon. Dagon's gonna... Just force blast him right now. Dagon will step forward. Actually, this does concern me. You are in my city. Little guy's gonna kind of cock his head for just a second. You know, I really don't have time for this. Kill him. Everyone roll initiative, please. Thank you for making this easy on us, Thistle. No moral quandaries. Exactly. Thank God. James, that was a great line. Loved it. Yeah. Thank you. Oh my God, I'm gonna be last.

It's a new guy thing. I was last last time. Oh boy. You're welcome. Oh shit. I'm definitely not last. Well that's good. Re-order one. Oh, that was for free? God damn it. Oh, I figured she was out of commission. Well, I mean, she has no modifier to wear initiative. It was a flat d20. She just happened to roll a fucking one. I mean, it kind of makes sense in the circumstances that she would roll low in order to jump into the brawl. Yeah. Yeah. Story-wise, it does make sense, so... Yeah, because she's still picking herself up. Alright. I'm much closer to Brianna now. Alright, Airlove, your turn.

Try and separate. I'm gonna use a daily right off the bat. Cerulean flames. It's a burst one within ten squares. So I'm gonna do it right here. Did that show? Did I do that right? I've never done a burst. Okay, so I just roll it on each of them? Uh, yes ma'am. Cecil. Um, let's not let me roll. That's weird. Did you click on him? Uh, there we go. Got it. Let me do Jeremy but not Cecil. Ha ha ha! Hey! You hit Jeremy. So, and I do damage at the end, right? Yeah. Yeah, don't worry about it. Okay. Aw, you missed Cecil. Damn it. But if he starts his turn in that zone, he gets blinded.

Okay. Ha ha! And you hit Street Thug number four. Very specific. Okay. And damage. Fifteen! You have murdered the Street Thug. Yo! I'm loving it. Ba da ba ba ba! Sorry. And the burst creates a zone of Cerulean light. Last until the end of my next turn. Any creature that starts its turn within the zone leaves it blinded. Alright. Start the creature. Okay. Dagon, your turn. Okay. Well, let's start off with a good. What's that? I was just going to say if I got plus one for Cecil, would I have hit him? Because I was speedy. That's it all planned out. Uh, let's see. Sixteen? Yes.

No. Damn it. I tried. Okay. Good. Okay. Dagon will march up to Streetwise Thug number five and use a force punch. That's a hit. That'll hit. Damage. Twenty-four. Oh god. Okay. So this thug is going to careen across the battlefield and clean past Cecil and land dead. Uh, several paces away from him. Nice. Corey, your turn. Okay. Corey is going to use Guardian Harrier against Cecil because he yelled at her and that is not nice. That's a hit. That will definitely hit. And there's this cool thing that I can now do, guys, where every time I use an at will power, I conjure a Pale Wolf's Lore, which is a wolf-like companion.

And I am going to give 2d10 extra damage. So I don't know how I do the conjuring. He's one square next to me. I mean, I suppose we can just say he's right there, but... Oh, well, I'll just put him as a monster on the battlefield. Okay. And any enemy that moves, well, there's no one adjacent to him right now, but... Right. So here's regular damage. Twenty. So thirty-three damage to Cecil. Thirty-three damage to Cecil. Got it. Okay. Let's see here. Streetwise slip number two is... Let's see. He's going to get right next to Dagon, which is probably not very intelligent, considering he just punched one of his friends to death.

I see what he's thinking. But yeah. Holy shit! You critted me. Ouch. Wow. Okay. Well, this is an apt place to die for me, I guess. Don't say that. Eighteen damage. Oh, my bad. I moved Corey instead like an asshole. Cecil's turn. Cecil's going to instantly go blind. You're one. Which is... He's going to go in a mad panic. And just kind of take out his sword and start to kind of swipe it around. And he's going to shout out... He's going to shout out to Streetwise slip number two. Would you just fucking kill him already? He's going to use a power called Execution Order.

Which is going to give number two a... He's going to allow number two to attack Dagon again, and if it hits it's going to do an extra ten damage. Oh, my nippers. That is going to crit miss. Wow. Okay, so... One extreme to the other. Yeah, really. Okay, Streetwise slip number six is... Let's see. One, two... He's not going towards that Drake. Fuck that noise. One, two, three... He will, however, move towards Dagon and use his crossbow. That'll also miss. All right, good job. Awesome. Streetwise slip number one is going to... Move down, use their crossbow against Erolove.

That'll also miss. Man, they're rolling terribly. I'm okay with this. These guys aren't very good friends. Jeremy is going... Blind. Well, yes, blind. He's going to stumble backward just a bit and kind of remove himself. He doesn't really want to stand next to Cecil, it would appear. He doesn't really want to have much to do with him at all. I'll bring up Streetwise slip number three. Okay, this thug is going to let go of Bree because it would appear as though there are more pressing issues than this beaten and bloody small person that he was holding. Let's see, can I get...

Is the wolf visible? Yes, it's almost like a ghost-ish wolf. This thug is going to move down towards Dagon because that would appear to be... Just get rid of this fucking thing. That's going to hit. Nine damage. That's all right. Group hug. Acta Ronis, your turn. All right. I guess because I'm not used to my glaive yet and because my stats are not in for the glaive, he's going to draw the scar blade, which is like coated in flames. Brianna is visibly injured, right? Very much so, yeah. Okay. I'm going to raise my right palm in the air and do my healing word on her.

It's... Oh no, I'm too far. I'm going to move first. So five. I'm going to try and take the opportunity attacks. So that's one, two, three, four, five. Oh man, Acta Ronis, what are you doing? Don't let it go on my... I could have just taken one. Okay. That'll hit, so... Nine damage. All right. Let's see if the other one hits. That'll miss. All right. Cool. So healing word on Bri. Okay. So that's going to be her... She spends her healing surge plus 3d6. Oh shit, okay. 3d6. Plus 12. Okay. Awesome. Okay. And that was a minor action, so I'm going to use a daily shield of the gods.

It's a close blast. Three. Each enemy in the blast. So that's one, two, three. I'm actually going to do it in Dagon's direction. Oh, it's a blast. I'm sorry. I thought it was a burst. Edit that out. No, I'm going to do it just on Cecil, for reals. So it's a blast three. So the same area, basically. Attack is versus reflex. All right. That is it. It does one weapon damage plus modifier and he falls prone. Jeez. Blinded and prone. Oof. And bloody. Okay. And bloody. Nice. Okay. Do you think he's going to take the fire damage even though it's like a divine power and I'm not actually hitting him?

What's your take on that? I'm going to say no, just because... No, probs. Yeah. And then there's an effect on the attack. You or any ally within five squares of you gains plus three shield bonus to AC and reflex until the end of the encounter. And I can switch that every round as a minor, so I'm giving it to Brie. Okay. As a result of being bloodied... Oh, God. Okay. As a result of being bloodied, Cecil is going to use something called tactical retreat. Now, normally what that would mean is that he would shift a number of spaces up to his speed and just basically try and flee.

The problem is he's knocked prone. So what that means instead is that the prone status, he's just going to be able to stand up as a result. But you can see where he is getting ready to make a break for it. Brie, on the other hand, dropped to her knees the second that the thug let go of her. And the healing that Acronis gave her appears to have done wonders for her. Rage Drake's turn. Yay! Good lord. Okay, this Drake is going to race up to number six and attack. Ooh, that'll hit. Nice. And it is going to bite down... Oh, 19 damage. That will kill this thug. Is it satisfying a little bit of Snickers hunger?

Well, this is just a kill, but it could be afterwards if... I'm just trying to be economical. No, I totally get it. Raylan! Alright. So I'm kind of shocked Acronis didn't go over and heal Dagon. That's kind of scary. I keep thinking there's an opportunity to tell him, "No, that's your turn." No, that's my homeboy. Yeah. I'm going to use... where is it? There. Majestic Word on Dagon. And it says... I'm level 11 now. You are one ally in the burst. It's a burst five. Close burst five. So that's like the five squares around me. And the effect. The target can spend a healing surge and regain additional hit points equal to my charisma modifier.

I also slide the target one square. But I don't know if I would want to slide him. Yeah. Yeah? Sure. Yeah, you would. Pull you out of there. Alright, so it's your healing surge plus... Sorry, 2d6 plus charisma modifier. 13. Plus 15, so... Very nice. So you went from almost being bloody to... what is it? Full health, right? Almost? And that was a minor action. Yeah. So I get to do one more thing. I'm going to use Vicious Mockery on number... I'd say number two right here to pull him off of him. What's your insult? Mother was a hamster. Father smelled of elven. You are the son of a motherless goat.

And then you use one. I hope it works. Yeah, me too. And... attacked against this guy. Oh yeah. Close. So dig on shifting one square, right? Oh yeah, I gotta move him. I'll move him to the left so he gets away from the other dude's reach. That's a hit. Worth it. Yeah. Damn it. He's like, "Hey!" He's like, "Don't talk about my mom." Oh shit, that'll kill him. Oh, you have to describe this. Me? So I just tell him, "Son of a motherless goat." And then, I guess the word's so sharp it pierces his brain. Because it looks like psychic damage. Just killed himself. Just fell to the ground.

I always suspected. You're done? Yeah, that's it. Brianna's turn. Everyone roll Perception, please. Take that, Perception. Oof. Let's see... Dagon... Dagon and Erolove. You're gonna hear a noise. It's the first time you've heard... It's the first time you two have heard this girl make a noise since you've approached her. And she's gonna kinda give this low... It's almost a growl and then... Just kind of scream. And you're gonna notice there's a white glow coming off of her hands as she lunges forward and wraps her hands around the back of Cecil's skull. And Cecil's gonna start to struggle and try and reach backwards and grab at her.

And then you're gonna hear a loud pop. Oh! Yikes! And Cecil's potty's going to go limp and his hands are gonna fall to his side. And he's gonna drop to his knees and fall forward. And so is Bree after that. And the glow is gonna completely subside and she's just gonna double over and start to cough again. And everyone on this battlefield is gonna stop doing what they were doing just the instant that goes down. As soon as you hear the pop... They're gonna turn around and see that Cecil has a headless corpse lying on the ground, blood pouring out of the neck hole.

And they're gonna drop their weapons and stop fighting instantly. We won! Yay! Um, wow. Okay. Do it with the rest of... So she dropped to the ground? Yeah, she's down. Um, Air Love will run up to her. And is she still coughing up blood? Yeah. Yeah, this is kind of an ongoing... like she's just... It's not a constant stream of blood or anything, but it's kind of dabbed to the air every once in a while. When she coughs, it's definitely running down her chin and cheek. Well, she'll get on her knees and do that whole thing where she's not used to this kind of thing.

She'll pat her back and be like, "Uh, someone, please?" She's blood. Lots of it. While pointing my sword at the remaining thugs, kind of like swinging it like, "Alright, get the fuck out of here." I'll just slowly walk and join Air Love and Brianna. These guys are gonna take off. Just clean take off and be like, "Okay!" And just scamper, just run, clean up. Giving the Drake a particularly wide berth. Just really kind of double timing it and getting the hell out of there. Jeremy sadly is blind. Good, I want to talk to Jeremy. He's just scrabbling around with his hands out.

Who brought their champagne? Here's the pop... What was that? Just kind of... Yeah. So, how do you guys want to deal with this situation? I know Cory's gonna want to talk to Jeremy. Because he was obviously the second in command. So she'd have no trouble detaining him, grabbing him. Yeah. Mm-hmm. So yeah, I guess she will go up to Jeremy and sort of tower over him. And I don't know if this would be an Intimidate check. But she's gonna say, "What in the hell were you thinking?" Roll an Intimidate. Okay. 27. That's pretty intimidating. So just as Jeremy's regaining his eyesight, he looks up and...

Just this towering goliath is standing over top of him. Look, I don't want any trouble, man. I tried to stop him. We're just here for the Paladin. And he had some weird vendetta against him. And look, I'm just employed by... And then he looks down and sees Cecil's headless body. I don't think I should do the thing that I want to do. Okay, she's gonna talk a little bit more still. 'Cause the other thing could be bad. How many of you were there against this one defenseless girl? 'Cause Corey didn't see the glowing hands thing. No. Although headless bodies should be related.

That'd happen. Okay. So we came from Esterhold. And Cecil had something against the Paladin and the girl here. And I know he wanted some weapon that the Paladin was holding. And there was some reward or bounty or something. All I know is I was gonna get paid after we turn her over to one of the cities looking for her. And that was it. That was the only reason we were following him. I got nothing against the girl. I tried to pull him off of her. But, you know, I mean... I'm just kinda here to get paid, too. I didn't want to see... I told him, "Look, we could just take the body back.

We don't need to bother with any of this. We could just let the girl go." But, I don't know. Those two have some kind of beef with each other. I guess Corey would look over at this girl. Is she looking any better? I know Actronis was gonna heal. Yeah. After a few seconds, the coughing dies down. And she's more or less kinda getting her stuff together. And she's gonna start to stand up, but it's real wobbly-legged. Really, she's gonna kinda lean over and lean on Airlove a bit. Airlove will help her. Okay, at the sight of that, Corey is going to try to threaten this gentleman.

She's going to grab him by the neck. Not lift him up, though, 'cause that's a little too aggressive, I think, maybe. For the second... Chokeslam. Pop. And she is going to say, "Before you blindly follow orders, think about who they affect." And then, sort of aggressively shove him back, and then give a dismissive wave, like, "Get the fuck out of here." Get a real job. Yeah. He's gonna take a couple seconds and scan the party, and then just the slightest nods and then run off. I'm gonna yell at him as he's running off. "Don't come back!" Okay, so this girl is gonna, again, get her bearings and wipe her mouth off on her sleeve.

And she's, again, voice is kind of hoarse just from coughing, but she is gonna say to Airlove, "Thank you." "No problem. Are you okay? Do you need anything further?" "I'm fine." You can see her kind of looking over the city. This is the first time she's got a chance to really assess the situation. And behind her, not that far behind her at all, is the body of Strahd. And this dragon has been through the wringer. The dragon appears to have no lower jaw whatsoever. It appears to have bits and pieces of a building jammed into its lower belly. It's kind of rolled over onto its side.

It appears to be missing an eye. Something horrible happened in this city before you got here. Dagon will walk up to her and sort of motion at Strahd. Did you do this? Some of it, yeah. You...you're gonna need to rest. Something about you saying that seems to snap her out of what she's doing here, assessing the city. And she's gonna look right into Dagon's eyes. "I don't have time to rest. There's still a chance I could save her. I just..." "They came here on horses. I think I can get back to Esterholm in time. I just..." "I just need to hurry. Can one of you help me lift her up?" Who?

"And she's gonna point across the expanse here." "If you take the road back south, there's a woman there." "If I hurry, I could get back to the Temple of Kort. I think I have a way to bring her back." "But she died fighting the dragon." "She is a paladin of Kort, you say?" "From my experience with followers of Kort, I don't think she would appreciate you stealing her glory." "I don't mean to say it that way. I understand how you must feel, but bringing back people from the dead should not be a backup plan." "If she fought the dragon and died fighting this, what everyone's telling me is a legendary dragon, then she is where she wants to be." "That's what I understand." "Branon's gonna wave his arms like, 'No, no, no, no, no.'" "She's gonna walk a bit closer to Actaronis.

I know she'd do the same for me." "I owe her my life, and the least I can do is try." Are you doing this for her or for you? "You can see that she's giving it just a moment's pause like she's thinking about it." "And then she's gonna kind of furrow her brow and start to walk past Actaronis. Like, she's completely disengaging." "She, for whatever reason, doesn't want to answer the question." "And she's going to start back down towards the path, towards the body she was talking about." Kori will follow her. She's probably frail. "Yeah, not a great lifter." "Yeah." "It doesn't look like she..." "The minute you said, 'Can someone help me lift this thing?' I was like, 'Hey, I'm good at lifting stuff.'" "I lift stuff?

Alright." "So these gentlemen left behind some horses, particularly Cecil." "And Brie is going to grab one of the horses on the way and start to lead it back down towards the path." "Is anyone else going with Kori, or is it just..." "I'll walk with them, but behind Kori, slowly." "Aerilove will keep up with Kori. She was trying to follow Brie and Aemus." "Does Aerilove and Brie know each other?" "They don't, actually. They never actually met." "I know of her, but not her." "Yes." "Though it wouldn't take... I mean, Poe would have told Aerilove all about her, so it really... especially once the head pop thing..." "Yeah, small." "It wouldn't take too much." "Okay, sion.

That narrows it down. Female sion narrows it down further. Small. Okay, raven hair, combed over one side." "Okay, I'm starting to piece this together." "So, traveling back down the path, there is a lone body, kind of nestled against the rocky cliff face here." "So, it is a blonde woman, but her hair is almost white. It's that blonde." "Clad in what appears to be some sort of elven armor with some sort of dragon-scale overlay." "There's a hammer next to her body, and there appears to be a substantial amount of blood around the body itself and around her mouth." "And as soon as Aerilove sees this body, she's going to recognize it as Una and Olaf." "Aerilove's gonna stop like she just ran into a wall and just stand there looking down at her.

She won't say anything. She's just in shock." "Bree's gonna lead the horse down the trail. There's gonna be a long pause as she's looking over this body before she goes to move it again." "But she's gonna take a deep breath and start to reach down and try and grab at her upper body and then kind of look almost pleadingly up to Kori." "Kori's gonna run over and help her lift this blonde woman up and probably take the brunt of it. Like once they get her off the ground, she'll probably just grab the hold of it so that she's like cradled almost in Kori's arms." "Yeah, so this would be just kind of putting her on the back of this horse.

There's no great way to do this other than to tie the body to the horse." "Thanks." "Yeah, there is no great way to do this." "How long does it take to get to Esterhole?" "It's a good day's ride. Even riding as fast as you can." "Okay, and..." "So is Bree in any condition to be doing like a sort of..." "Any of this? Not really." "Sort of alluding to the fact that you should be dead and for the amount of energy she's obviously used up." "For Dagon right off the bat it's a lot to take in because it's like, 'Oh, another Sion. That's kind of cool.'" "But if Dagon's not exactly sure what exactly to attribute to Bree.

Like how much of it did she knock down a building? Did she finish Strahd? What exactly did she do?" "If he could concrete point to it, it's like, 'You did this, this, and this.' Like if he heard what she did, it's like, 'That shouldn't be. You shouldn't be able to do all that.'" "I guess now's not the time to really ask. So... because she's kind of... I guess her mind's pretty set." "At least you know where she's going." "Mm." "Yeah." "So do we know anything about..." "Roll a religion check for me, please." "I have a horrible religion. Who has a good religion, guys?" "I've got an okay religion." "I've got plus eleven." "Got it." "Okay, well, Erolove, Actoronus, and Kori are all standing there, so..." "Plus three, okay." "All right." "Dagon's got too much to process right now.

A Sion and his city is in ruins." "Yeah." "Erolove does too." "Well, okay, let's see here. Erolove and Actoronus would pretty much have the full skinny on the risks of bringing someone back, how much time she has to bring someone back." "And both he and Erolove would know that she is probably not going to make it back in time to do anything to save this woman, even if she just died." "It's a day's ride. Riding with no brakes as fast as you can, it's about a day's ride from Odysseus to Esterhold." "With my newfound powers, do I have a mastery of them enough to do anything to help delay the inevitable?

Inevitable?" "Yes. Well, there's a power called general repose that would buy her four days." "I'll walk, I'll limp slowly to the horse while, I don't know, do anyone have rope to actually tie her on their horse?" "I guess like standard adventuring gear." "Yeah, it's pretty standard stuff." "All right, never mind." "We'll get some from my room." "Why do you have that in your room?" "It's none of your business." "Dagon was an awkward team." "And I'm going to tell Brianna, I do not agree with your decision, however I will not stop you." "I will help you make it there in time, but while you ride there, I just want you to think about this." "If we mortals have free access to bringing the dead back, then what is the meaning of sacrifice?" "Just think about it. And I don't know, it's the first time I'm doing this as Hector Onis and myself, but I guess I'm going to lay my hands on Una and do the thing." "So there's going to be a gentle glow that comes from Hector Onis' hands.

And Bri's going to watch you do this, and after you were pretty dismissive of the idea of bringing her back, she figured you wouldn't do anything to help her. And she's going to take this in and realize what you've done. And she's going to slowly pan up from Una and look into Hector Onis' helmet. And she's going to lean over, not really, she kind of choked out a sound but not really words, and she's going to lean over and hug Hector Onis. And she is very visibly tearing up." "I trust you will make the best choice for both of you. Just remember that as long as there is life, there is hope." "She's the bravest person I've ever met.

And she's saved my life more than once. She very literally fought death to bring me back. I have to at least try." "I will nod. Whatever happens, she will live forever in legend. And I envy her for this." "And she's going to look down and then scan back towards Air Love and Cory. Thank you all very much. I have to head back to Ester Holt now. If you ever need anything, if you can find me, then I'll do whatever I can to help you." "Air Love's going to take a step forward and she's shaking at this point. And she's going to be like, 'I know who you are and I know who she is.

I hated her for what she did to my commanding officer, but she was right and tell her thank you if you bring her back.'" "That's going to kind of stun her for a second." "You know my brother. And I don't know what that means to me right now. I don't know what you... I don't know. Just tell her thank you. That Air Love said thank you." "She's, again, going to be pretty stunned by that, but after a few moments, just kind of give you a really, almost a terse nod, but like she completely understands. Then she's going to saddle up and she's going to get ready and ride aggressively north towards Ester Holt." "I think that's probably a pretty good time for us to stop for the evening, guys." "That was awesome." "That was fun!

That was so good!" "This went a little later than I wanted it to. I'm sorry." "It's okay." "It was worth it." "Too tired to go to sleep, anyway." "Oh, we get to do the whole Odysseus thing next time and the... Oh!" "I know!" "It's going to be so great!" "We're going to rebuild." "Tharion Construction Simulator 2014! Yes!" "Can we just make it canon, though, that anytime we kill anything Snickers gets to eat it?" "Yeah, that's a good idea." "I don't know. I have a thing that makes me uncomfortable. Like this whole stink people thing." "But what if they're assholes?

And dead assholes?" "They can't taste good, then." "Giant dragon that'll keep them fed for weeks and months." "I don't know how he would feel about eating another of his kind." "That's cannibalism, almost. That's almost cannibalism." "We should skin a dragon." "Yes, we should." "Oh, dude, they're so... Oh, that's..." "Oh my gosh!" "I was shaking. That was awesome." "You guys did really, really well." "That was so much fun." "I loved everything about that. Everyone got a chance to shine. I love the Breland character." "Yay!" "We needed something like that." "Just a little touch of levity.

I like the new actor, Onus. I dig it." "He seems way wiser, too. I like that." "It's what you get when you go from 8 wisdom to 17." "I think his reasoning for her not wanting to do that made sense. I think that's a pretty good argument." "But she doesn't care." "Yeah, she does... Yeah, pretty irrational. Pretty, you know..." "Honestly, Una probably won't be... If, if, if, if she manages to get Una to come back, she's not going to be appreciative, I'm guessing." "No." "I should probably be pissed." "Probably. That's..." "Break Bree's little heart." "Probably." "That's how she wanted to go out." "I know.

Yeah. Yeah, that's... I have no idea how that's going to be played out. Again, there's still many hoops to jump through before that's even a possibility, and then..." "Alright, sorry guys, but I gotta go to bed." "Yeah." "It's a great thing to do." "I should really just stay up and edit. So there will be Monday content." "Sleep is a thing." "It is a thing, but..." "You need." "We'll see what happens." "Apparently not up there yet. We didn't sleep. We just ran through three days straight." "I was gonna ask if we were gonna get a negative to anything, but then I was like, 'Ahh, he didn't say anything about it.'" "I tried to squeeze it in that, like, it's possible to sleep kind of in spurts on the back of this dragon.

You won't be comfortable, you won't be... But the next session we're gonna really drive it home that you guys are pretty ragged. Like, you are pretty..." "Yeah." "So we have a whole city to sleep." "You do." "Many beds to choose from." "I choose the tallest tower. Aww." "Alright guys, I will talk to you later." "Bye guys." "Bye."
