With that in mind, please enjoy the show. Of the people touched by the seal's opening two years ago, perhaps none were more impacted than the Aladrin. Their disappearance a hundred years ago was a mystery to almost everyone, including Dagon Arkenscape. He was living in Odysseus with the rest of his people when they suddenly vanished one evening. He spent the better part of his life searching for them before finally finding a group willing to assist him with the search. Together, they discovered the Aladrin's whereabouts. Trapped within a mountain and bound by powerful magic from a fallen god.

It was hoped by the party that by opening the seal on Khaen and freeing the gods, they might grant the Aladrin some mercy and release them from their bondage. After the great column tore through the sky that night, one by one, the Aladrin very slowly awakened from their slumber. After about a year, they were all conscious and returned to a very different world than the one they had left. A dragon was squatting within the ruins of their once glorious home and they had seemingly nowhere to rebuild. It was eventually decided that Dagon would lead them to Onakal.

It had been mostly empty after a terrible tragedy befell the people there. Brightport, a city far to the north, had taken on the responsibility of helping the city rebuild and repopulate. Reshaping the area into a more commerce friendly location. The group helped Dagon move the Aladrin to the new city by ship. Eventually, it was decided that Dagon would stay with his people and help them acclimate to their new lives. Erolove too decided to leave the group after an attempt on her mother's life by the Black Hand, a powerful crime lord in Brightport. While her mother, Tessia, had quite a bit of power within the city, Erolove didn't want to risk something terrible happening and currently assists her mother with matters there.

That left Brelin and Keldon, the bard and frost wizard respectively, who without a full party, found life on the road a bit challenging. They helped Dagon with the Aladrin and they checked in on Erolove and Brightport but found that the Black Hand had a long memory and still carried quite the grudge against them for meddling in her plans. They left Brightport with a young woman named Tatiana who had troubles of her own. The three of them met Callie and Elena and traveled to the small town of Fairbay to enjoy the famous first of the year fair. And that's where we pick up things today.

Let's do that thing where we go around the table and introduce ourselves! I'm Jason, I'm the Dungeon Master. Going around the table starting with Karen. Oh hi, I'm Karen. I play Callie, a elf druid. And Alex. Hey I'm Alex, I play your lovable friendly halfling Brelin, a halfling bard. And Jamie. Hi there, my name is Jamie and I will be playing Tatiana, a human rogue. And Valerie. Hello, I'm Valerie and I'm playing Elena, the human fighter. And last and certainly not least is Ian. Hey I'm Ian and I'm playing Keldon, the half-elf blizzard wizard. Nice. So guys, everybody out there knows it has been two years since the last time you have all visited Theria, technically.

I'd like to go around the table real quick and just get a brief description of your characters and what they're about, what their goals are. And let's start with Alex. Well, Brelin is a small, very small halfling. Some messy black hair, usual halfling attire, the little Frodo vest. What are his goals? After the ending of last season, he vowed to help his friends accomplish whatever goals they soft, you know, whatever goals they needed to finish. And currently he's on the mission of helping Keldon get to the Silverglade for some stupid reason. (Laughter) But he's gonna do it.

He's gonna do it. And we're gonna get to Keldon in just one second, but what about Callie? So Callie is a elf from like the Evergreen and she's kind of tall, like maybe like 5'9" and like wears light armor with like a cloak and a quarterstaff. And she's just working on her bucket list. She just wants to like explore the world. Just getting out there, mixing it up. Just getting out there. Just visiting all the sights. What about Tatiana? Ha! Tatiana is, I'll describe what she looks like first. She's got long red hair, green eyes. She looks a lot like her mother.

Great smile, kind of short. And she has just recently gotten out of prison in Brightport. What else can I say? She is from Fair Bay and has a very happy, loving, supportive family there. Elena. Okay, so Elena is sort of on the taller side. She's pretty muscular, but like tastefully. And she is sort of similar to Callie in the way that she really wants to just get out and see the world and do everything basically that is put in front of her. And finally, Keldon. I heard mention of the Silverglade. (Laughter) A stupid place to go. Yes. (Laughter) Keldon is half elf.

More elf than human. You know, kind of pointy ears. A little smaller than average. A very light, very thin man. And very pale. Probably saw him, it would look like he was maybe getting over a fever or just starting one. Sort of like deep sunk eyes and short white hair. And he's got sort of like furs on, clothing you might wear in cold weather. And he is traveling with Braylin and Tatiana and these other people just recently out of Brightport trying to stay low. And he's following something that is pulling him towards the Silverglade. This calling. And that is what he's pursuing.

Now for those of you out there who might be a little confused as to the apprehension about going to the Silverglade, Last Arc, people have had a rough go. Maybe there's some people in this particular party who played characters who had a rough go. In the town of Lockfort and the surrounding Woodland area. But we'll get to that right now. I'd like to pick things up on the first of the year. So you're starting in a month called Yesty or Yesday. It depends if you're raised a little more elven. You probably pronounce it with the accent. But like I just said, it is the first of the year.

Therian's version of New Year's basically. It's called Winya Kiarza. And you are in the town of Fairbay. And they are, there's a couple of times a year where Fairbay throws these big festivals. Fairbay is a tiny town leaning more towards the east coast of Alara, which is the mainland. It's the continent you guys are on. And it's to the south. It's this little fishing community. It's this gorgeous little town. Pretty quiet. Not a lot of stuff happens. But the few streets that Fairbay has right now are just alive. It's probably more people than you would ever normally see in Fairbay.

It's bustling. There are vendors. There's pie eating contests. And there's little archery ranges. And there's all kinds of little midway games. Things like that. Little tests of skill. Just people giving away prizes and wagering coin. All kinds of stuff going on right now. And it is the middle of the day. It's kind of warm out. Probably floating right around the high 80s, low 90s. Something like that. For those of you who are in Celsius, I believe that's floating around the 30 range for Celsius. Because we were talking about conversions before we got started today.

Covering all the bases. So I would say you guys are starting out just on the streets of Fairbay. Again, small town, but lots of people. So all the establishments that are out. There's usually just a few shops, right? You got your weapon shop and your general goods. Those are closed down for the festival so that those people can enjoy it. But restaurants are still open. Bars still open. But all these places are pretty hopping right now. They're really quite packed. What would you guys like to do or see first? I want us to all get drunk and play some games. Oh, I think I can help with that.

So I think the group is sort of maybe standing around. And Kaldin comes to the group with an armful of drinks that he's purchased. And they are the equivalent, whatever the Therian equivalent is of a drink that's served in a pineapple or a coconut with a bottle sticking out and sparklers. There's all kinds of shit. You know, like whatever that is, he's like comes out with these like garish drinks and he like looks really excited and he just sort of comes up and starts handing them all out. He says, "The bartender said that these were the official drink of Fairbay." When you can, Tatiana, what's the name of this festival again?

Yeah, make me say it. Winye Kiarza. Thank you. Quinceañera. Yes. When you're Quinceañera. Yeah. Yeah. Winye Quinceañera. This is great. Happy 16th birthday. 15th birthday? 15th birthday, isn't it? 15th. Damn it. You're becoming a woman. I mean, I think I'll take one of the garish drinks and sort of like laugh a little bit. And then does is there anything that looks familiar? I mean, a lot of these- Person wise? Well, person wise, maybe not so much because you get a lot of tourists, right? You're getting a lot of people. It's like, oh, OK. In Theria, on the whole, a lot of people stick to themselves.

And people flock to Fair Bay for these festivals because it is one, it's a nice, tiny, like quiet town. Nothing of note happens here for good or bad. It's not really a history making town. On the flip side, though, it's a really safe place to grow up. But they also are are renowned for fresh produce and homemade drinks and tiny little restaurants, just like little kind of hole in the wall places that aren't famous. But it's one of those things you tell other adventurers. It's like, oh, man, if you're stopping by Fair Bay, you got to stop here and get a drink here and that type of thing.

Cool. So someone mentioned someone mentioned games. Games. So looking around on the streets, you're going to see lines for a lot of stuff. There's like test of strength things. There's there's so there's stuff like that. There's there's there's like I said, this archery set up where they're giving away prizes if you can hit all the targets. There's a place where you could wrestle a bear. It's not a full grown bear. It's not a full grown bear. It's like it's like it's like a baby bear type of thing. Only I were playing another character. I'm not a full grown person.

There is a pie eating competition. They do that a few times a few times a day. Whole parties can enter that. Yeah. What kind of thing are you are you more a test of skill or is it luck? What are you after? I want prizes. Like what are they offering? Well, a lot of like the picture if you go to like a county fair or something like that, basically the Therian equivalent of like stuffed animals is like, oh, these little hand carved wooden things or they're giving away like, oh, this is honey for my own private reserve. Like it's more harvest festival type stuff.

This is the first day of spring. So it's just before like a lot of that fresh produce is available. But they are making things like blueberry pies and apple pies and things like that. And of course, you could play for money at a lot of these places. So you you purchase a ticket for like a gold piece or two and you can win five to 10 gold pieces. I want to do one that I get money back. Do you want to try the archery one? I sort of wanted to try the strongman one. Oh, so, OK, you got a couple of options. Is it like where you hit a hammer and a bell? Not quite.

There's a couple of different things, right? So, again, the bear wrestling thing that I mentioned before. But there's also this lifting competition, right, where you make wagers with other people that are stepping up and then you basically you ever you ever hear of like I can name that tune in one note or, you know, ten that type of thing. It's basically like I can lift this much. Well, I could lift this much. And you both wager until it's time to just lift. And if you can lift, however, what you said, beat the other person, then you win all the money.

I want to do that. So you're like you're like betting on yourself. You're basically how strong you feel. Yeah. Is that based on like what's listed on our character sheet? Oh, yes. OK, I was just curious. I was like, because it literally says right here how much I can lift. And I was like, well, it's more based on a strength check. It's it's so you might you might get lucky. You might you might be having a really good day. You live with those. You live with your legs. That's the thing. Interesting. Don't use your back. Don't use your back. Alayna can do a game first, though.

Yeah, man, I want to I want to try and lift something. OK, so the person that there are these there are these people kind of barking. And again, this isn't necessarily about making money for the town. It is a money making venture because you're bringing tourists. But it's more about like, hey, this really nice place to live. We want to show that off. Look at all this cool stuff we have. So they have they have basically carnival barkers up and down the streets. It's like, oh, come on. And they'll call out to people that they think they think would. It's like, oh, ma'am, you look really strong.

Why don't you why don't you come up? So there's there's a mustachio gentleman who would be waving at Alayna just like, oh, miss, miss, miss, miss. You want to walk on? Oh, I'll be like, oh, hello. I want to do this. There's a gentleman named Bill. Bill has these huge mutton chops, bald, but mutton chops. It's a look. It's it's it's something that he's going for. Big, bushy. Like you can get a comb stuck in these mutton chops. And he is standing next to two half beaten up wagons, essentially. And there are instead of horses hooked up to him, like he's demonstrating it's like, oh, and he's he's grabbing the the the two ends.

There's poles sticking out from him and he's lifting it up. And people are gradually putting in rocks on the other side to weigh this down. And there's a team of people picking up these rocks. Real strongman competition stuff. He's going to kind of kind of shit talk a little bit. You ever you ever walk up to a dunk tank with a clown and the clown's just like, oh, you can't hit nothing that that type of thing. That's Bill's job. Bill's job is to taunt people to get them to to wager here. So he's going to call it. Oh, little lady, you think you can beat me in a lift and competition?

Are you going to let him speak to you like that, Elena? Yeah, Brown's going to go to Elena. Yeah, I don't like this guy. You need to need to fuck him up real quick. So I'm going to walk up to him, sort of puff my chest out a little bit and be like. But like with a smile on my face, because it's all a good fun. Say, yeah, I think I can. Bill is going to point over to a team of people and they're going to start loading up rocks. And at this point, it looks like it's pretty it's pretty heavy, probably 150 pounds or so, like pretty heavy. And he is going to motion towards that.

Do you think you can lift that? And he's going to take out 10 gold. And kind of slam it down next to next to this next this broken down wagon. I want to also put down put down 10 gold, but say to those guys that are putting the rocks in, put a couple more in. Wow. Oh, wow. And they're going to look at each other and they're going to look at Bill like, oh, shit. OK, they're going to load it up a little more. This looks this looks pretty damn heavy at this point. And he is going to look down at the gold and then look over at Alina. All right, you're on. And he's got this he's got this this this powder stuff and he's going to he's going to rub it over his hands.

He's Chuck. Are you ready to try this? Yes, I'm so ready. But Jason, I have to win. I went up. This is the first role. This is the first role of group season two. Holy shit, guys. This is OK. So here's what's going to happen. You're both going to roll and let's say you both succeed. Then we loaded up with more rocks and the difficulty gets higher each time. Are you ready? I think so. So right now. This is a DC check of 10 and I want you to do me a favor and give me a strength roll. And Bill's going to do a strength roll to. OK, so I'm going to look back at the party, give him a wink.

Caulding will be like, show him the strength of the mountain, Alina. Really just finger guns. Yeah, fuck him up. And she will she will try and lift up the is it like a wheelbarrow? OK, a carriage. Wait, picture like a picture like a wagon. So yeah, it's there is a fulcrum there. Like you're you're lifting with. So you're not like it's not just you lifting up 200 pounds of rocks on your back like you. But yeah, it's you using your strength to lift this up. Yeah. OK, come on. Come on. Oh, wow. So Alina will will will dig deep and just like just with ease lift this up and then just kind of slam it down.

And now there's a bit of pressure on Bill. She'll give him like a bit of like a smirk. You didn't think I'd even be able to do that, did you? So Bill is going to. To wander up just a tiny bit of perspiration, like, all right, because he already did the little lady bit like now it's now if now he loses. Bill's a bitch like that's that's what he looks like to his crew. So. His crew is going to start cheering him on. And he is going to reach down and lift up. And he is also going to succeed, but it looks like it's a tiny bit more labored than what Alina did.

But he's going to lift it up to the same height and then let go. And there's going to be a catch in his voice like, hmm, yep, more rocks, more rocks. Because now now he has to win. He has to prove that he's stronger. So they're going to pile a few more rocks in. Yeah, I got to do something, Jason. I'm going to look to call in and the rest of you say, I'll be right back to cheer her on. He's going to like scamper away real quick. He's going to look for us, like if there's musicians here by like a stage or something where he can hop up real quick. Oh, yeah, there's festival music like all over.

Whatever is the closest group of musicians. He's going to like fucking not saunter, but like scat, like climb up real quick, like super uncoordinated. Like, oh, shit, like try and climb up. Great Foley, love it. He's going to get up to the stage and he's going to look up to the he's going to start talking to the musicians. Hey, guys, let's it's going to be like that scene from Back to the Future. Let's keep this on the C minor and try to keep up with the changes. And I'm going to use Bardric Inspiration, one of my features. So for the next 10 minutes, Elena can use and she can add a D6 to her ability check.

Ooh. The next 10 minutes for the next 10 minutes. You know what? Do me a favor. Give me a performance check, too. I just want to see how well this is going. Oh, man. Go, go, go, go, go. Oh, wow. You know that new sound you've been looking for? Yeah. Wow. OK, so that's gorgeous. That is a twenty one. That is that is that's a high roll. So this this band is going to at first it's like, hey, get off the stage, asshole. But kind of just just like, OK, and they're going to they're going to follow along. What song is Braylon going to play? To Black Magic. Elena. Yes. The difficulty is now 13.

OK, do me a favor. Give me a strength roll. So Elena's going to see Braylon run off and then get on stage. She'll hear start hearing the first few chords of the song and she'll, you know, sort of smile to herself, knowing that, like her new friends, like are supporting her. And she's going to try and lift up this wagon again. Good lord. Yeah. I'm going to roll the D6. You can keep it. You can keep it. You can hold it for 10 minutes. Oh, it's only one time. Yeah. Yeah. Oh, OK. Say that in case he succeeds. So now, OK, there's more pressure because, again, with ease, it looks like Elena just like, OK.

It doesn't look like there's any transition between that being a heavier weight than it was before. And Bill's Bill's getting a little panicky. Bill's like, fuck, OK. OK, OK. Oh, can Cauldron call out to Bill that last load looked like it was a little heavy for you, Bill. You might be getting tired, I think. Shane. Oh, intimidate, intimidate. Give it a shot. There we go. There we go. Yeah. Oh, so, OK, Bill's going to kind of snap at the cut. Shut up. Poor Bill. He's just trying to make a living. That's it. Bill is going to. Very, very, very, very sweaty now. He's going to wander up to this cart.

He's going to reach down and he is going to lift. Oh, wow. Wow. Bill is going to maybe spurred on by the crowd. Maybe that's like, OK, there's a lot. There's a lot on the line. OK, OK. And Bill is going to dig deep and lift this cart up equally as high as Elena and then drop it. And he's going to do that thing where you just like, oh, man, he's rolling his shoulder and like pulling his arm and he's going to signal to this crew more rocks. They're going to add some more rocks to this guy. This guy eventually he wears like UFC tap out like it's. He's got this.

He's got this leather girdle thing that he's wearing. He's got like a weight lifters belt like it's like it's. Yeah. Like he's fucking champion of the gym. Like he's like, Joke's on you, Bill. There are no gyms in Theria. At this point, is anybody like in the in the audience looking on like taking bets? Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Totally putting putting money down on my girl. There's a there's a crowd forming now. There was a there was a crowd just wandering around. Now they're like, oh, what's going on over here? Bill is going to walk up to Elena. All right, little lady.

Here's what I'm going to do. Let's raise these stakes a little bit. He's going to slap down five more goals. That's 15 gold wager. If I don't win today and outlift you. I'll shave these mutton chops. And he's like, oh, like he's he's really trying to spur the crowd on now. And there are people who kind of like Bill's got a little reputation in therapy. They're like, oh, not the chops. Oh, no. Oh, God. Not the chops. And he's going to and he's milking it from the crowd now. He's trying to he's like, what are you willing to put up? OK, well, in regards to the more money, Sorrel will say, honestly, I was thinking the same thing and put up five more of her gold.

And then she'll sort of speak louder. So like more of the audience can hear it. And she'll say, if you can outlift me, I will tattoo your name on my body. That's good. Wow. Bailey, while playing his instruments goes, no. He's going to go wide for a second. Really? Oh, OK. I know of a good tattoo artist in the next town. And he's going to catch himself. Yeah. Like he's going to ride that. They are going to finish loading rocks. The difficulty check is now 15. Do me a favor. Give me a strength check. Jason, I can't lose. I accept. Don't ask me. Tell the D20. Oh, look at that. 19, everybody at home. 19.

Elena is going to dig deep. It looks like there's a little bit of labor this time, but again, going to lift, lift those two bars over her head and then just drop. Boom. It's going to slam to the ground. There's going to be a little dust kicked up. Bill is going to start to kind of rub his face like the mouth area kind of kind of stroke the mutton chops a little bit. All right. And he is going. To motion. To the wagon. Grab those two rocks. And he is going to lift. Oh, that is a crit. He is going to pick this up, just spurred on by the crowd. There's just adrenaline, that that that fear of losing.

And he is going to pick this up with ease, just like like he's going to make a show of it to just draw. Just that just shouting like an asshole, like just in the middle of these people. It's going to sign a clue says no growing, no groaning in the gym. He's going to drop this and then immediately kind of do that gladiator. Are you not entertained? Like just that, that, that kind of like motioning to the crowd like, yeah, just. And he's going to do like the Hulk Hogan point to his crew. More rocks. And he is going to take two more gold out of his pocket and slam it down with the other 15.

So when he like sort of easily lifts it over his head and like yells and stuff, if anyone's paying attention to Elena, you will see panic really quickly flash across her eyes and then she'll mask it over again. Pretend that it doesn't hurt her to put another two gold down. So you are this this this this is kind of an you're just kind of getting started in your whole adventuring career. For those of those of you listening at home, Elena doesn't have a ton of gold. This is if you were to lose, how would this affect you? I would need to mooch off of everyone else for food.

Like truly like that's how much money she has. At this point, the cart is making a groaning sound. They're running out of rocks. So it's going to make that they're going to stack the last rock in there and it's going to just kind of you're just gonna hear this this tiny little. The difficulty check is now 17. Are you ready? I have a question. Yes. If I have something that will let her add dice will that stack with Brelin stuff or do they not stack? What do you have guidance which will give her an extra D4 on her ability check? I don't see why it wouldn't stack.

Yeah, mine doesn't say anything about being removed. Okay. Yeah, I don't see why they wouldn't stack. I'll allow it. Okay. So you guys are great. Wow. So Callie's just gonna run up behind Elena really quick and like put her arm around her shoulder and just be like, listen, you have to do this. You can't fail at this point. And then do guidance. Because it's a touch thing. So then she'll run away. Nice. Oh, nice. You're her Mickey. You're a boomer. Elena. Yes. Are you ready? Yes. Do me a favor. Give me a strength check. Okay. Oh. Oh. I have some more dice to add. That's a six, ladies and gentlemen.

Oh my god. There's no way I can get it. Even if I get a six and a four I'll only have a 16. That's right. And I need a 17. You can profit too though. I don't know what happens then. But. Well, let's see what you're gonna do. Oh yeah, she might not check it either. That's true. Okay, so I'm gonna use both of the, so the plus the d6. That's a one. And so I'm up to seven. And the d4. That's a one. Which is, um, I'm eight now. What's his name? What name do I have to get tattooed on my body? Bill. Well, hold on. Hold on. He has no modifiers, and he's, he's got to beat. He's just got to be like he doesn't have any assistance.

He's got a plus three to his strength. So let's see if Bill. So Bill's gonna gloat a bit like Elena is gonna bend down and just and get part way up but just can't quite push it over the top and drop it. She's gonna look like she's gonna be like, really like frustrated and sort of disappointed that she can do it, but she'll sort of walk up to the side and cross her arms and like glare daggers at Bill hoping that he can't do it either. Bill's gonna give a soft chuckle. Kind of, it's what it looks like is gloating. What it is is being relieved. He's gonna crack his neck, make a big show of it kind of just like, all right.

And he is going to grab the wagon. Call the nose scrape on the back, choke! And he will lift. And he will fail. He's gonna get part way up and also just like, like, his face is going to go bright red. And he realizes, I'm not gonna make it. And he drops it. Now everyone in the crowd. No, go ahead. Go ahead. As soon as he sees a drop, Brelyn's gonna switch the song to Wind Up Cry. Yes. And he's gonna, he's gonna cut, like the crowd's gonna go nuts because it's like, oh, because they're kind of rooting for the underdog at this this this point. Elena is smaller than Bill.

So it's like, OK, OK. So there's a tie. Which means Elena has the option of just that that's it. No one's stronger than anyone taking the money and the and the at the side wager and just shake hands, walk away. No one loses anything. Or Elena could push it. And get one more attempt from both of them with the one rock removed. Push it real good. Oh, you shouldn't have used up all those dice. I can do it again. Oh, yeah, that's a good point. I shouldn't have even tried. Like, I knew I couldn't get it. Whoops. Well, I can't trip. I can just keep touching you. Mine is not a cantrip, but I can only do two more times before I need to go to sleep.

What do you guys think I should do? We need to embarrass this mutton chop wearing ass. Yeah, this needs to happen. OK, then I say go for it. And then she wants to go again. She wants to try again. So Bill is expecting you to just kind of take the money and run, right? Just just walk. So he holds his hand out like, ah, that was a good try. Maybe you'll have better luck next time. And he's going to he's going to have his hand out like, OK, as if he won. Right. Kind of like it's kind of presenting it like, well, I'll still be here if you want to try it. Maybe I could set something up tomorrow.

So she'll look out into the crowd. And I mean, she is upset because she lost a lot of her money. But she'll walk back over to her group and say, well, I tried at least. And take whoever is closest to her. She'll take their pineapple drink and chug it. Oh, you can take a cold drink. Just standing there and he's just like, that was incredible. How much you owe. This is so it's to this little restaurant. It's not it's it's one of those home the whole places I was talking about where it's off the beaten path. It's kind of in an alley somewhere. It isn't the greatest storefront. Like it's it could have been it could be in a better building, but the food itself, like people vouch for it. They say it's good. OK. Yeah. Sounds good. Really want to play this game for sure. All right. So there's a young lady who is standing here running this and there are multiple targets, right? So the way this works is you get you get three tries per target for the first three.

Then you get two tries for the last targets. OK. And it cost two gold to enter. I want to play. I want to play too. I want to play too. All right. Colin, you can't use magic. You can't throw ice spears at it, dude. Is it just like bows and stuff? Yes. Yeah. I still want to. I don't have one still wants to play, but I'm assuming that my deck is pretty good. I could just roll my quarter staff because I don't have any modifiers to it. Well, I don't think you'd have proficiency with any ranged weapon or anything like that. No. So you're just you're just kind of going in. So you're going to have a harder time than anyone else. But it's OK if you pull it off. You got some bragging rights because you don't even have a ranged weapon. You're not like you're just one arrow thing.

Can I use the loaner bow? Thanks. Appreciate it. So, Braylin, Callie, Kaldin and Tatiana are all going to give this a shot. Are you ready? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. So the way this works is everybody puts down two gold and you're going to be given a number of shots. The first target, which is what everyone's going to aim at first. Everyone is going to fire in the in the chat there. And I'll tell you if you hit. So you just want me to roll a d20, right? That's basically it. OK. I have short bow. Should I just roll my short bow? Yeah. OK. I should probably get one at some point.

Yeah. Oh, man. We are rocking it, guys. Oh, come on. Look at Tatiana and Wink. Be like, just like you taught me. Every single one of you are going to you're all going to line up. And one by one, just fire. And each one of you is going to hit the first target, the one closest to you guys. And Tatiana and Braylin are going to damn near bullseye. Like, really, really good. So kind of a kind of a show off thing of like. Look at Tatiana. Let's make this interesting. And you put five gold on the table. Oh, shit. She will smirk, put five gold down and then hair flip. Oh, hair flip.

Oh, now, obviously, the next target is a little further away, a little tougher to hit. Everyone do me a favor. Take a shot. Oh, OK. Oh, OK. Oh, OK. Kalden and Braylin are going to hit the next target. Tatiana and Callie are both going to miss. We'll take the gold to the table. Kalden is going to look at Braylin and just like, like eyes open, wide mouth open, like big. I did it. You did it buddy. Now, Tatiana and Callie have two more shots. Oh, whoops. Braylin puts the gold back on the table. But there are some bragging rights to be had so far. It's like, I got him one.

So Tatiana and Callie, give me another shot. Oh, good lord. No, I am not doing great. My hair's all in my face from that flip. Normally we don't do this, right? Tatiana is going to fire so badly. It's going to go wide, sail over the over the archery range and you're going to hear a distant scream. Like far off in the distance. And it appears as though the person running this game did not hear that because they're going to. It's like, oh, you get one more shot, but it's going to get like, like, you're going to hear that in the distance. Like it's it's yards and yards away.

I hope it's not Bill. I hope it is Bill. Callie is also going to miss. Tatiana is going to sort of like have a oh shit look on her face and then look down at Braylin and like play it off like it's super cool. Like, hey, man, I'm just getting rid of some of the vermin in this town. I believe you 100 percent, but not really. So go ahead. Tatiana Callie, you get one more try at this. Go for it. I look so determined when she does this. Oh, it's not bad. It appears as though third time's the charm because both Tatiana and Callie are going to hit the target with their last arrows.

Fist bump. Boom. So all four of you get to continue to the next round. The next target is just a little further away. Kind of stationary sitting on this hay bale. Are you all ready? Yeah, guys, I believe in you. While looking at the target, Tatiana is just going to jokingly to Braylin, you know, if you want to back out now, I wouldn't hold it against you. He's going to laugh like the dad from Back to the Future. Do me a favor, everybody. Take your shot. Oh, oh, my. This time, Tatiana is going to hit the target. Everyone else in the party is going to miss Callie by just a little bit.

Braylin and Callie by a little bit more. Braylin, Braylin, Callie, you get two more shots. Okay. Oh, no. Oh, shit. All three are going to miss a second time. Callie by more than everyone else considerably, like just a bit wide. My arms getting tired. Just get a little shaky. Yeah, Kalden is like shaking his hand like, ow. Braylin's looking at that goal on the table like, I'm so sorry. Kalden, Braylin, Callie, take your third and final shot. Kalden is going to go wide to the left just a bit and miss the target. However, Callie and Braylin are both going to hit.

Yay! Tatiana just going to fold her eyes. Oh, man. So close. Kalden will put his bow down and just sort of like, without a ton of emotion, just like turn to Braylin and Tatiana and just like do a little bow and then just like walk away. Like handheld high. Hey man, it's okay buddy. You got it. I think I'm just gonna put her hand on Kalden's shoulder and just be like, it's okay. I lost money too. It seems to be a running theme today, but at least we're having a good time. Callie, Braylin, Tatiana. This is where things get interesting. There are two remaining targets.

The next target is on a wire going back and forth. I want you to make another shot with disadvantage this time. I fucking knew it. So click that little dis button at the bottom of your screen on the left. Okay. Just do it automatically? Yep. Okay. So, interestingly enough, interestingly enough, Braylin is going to hit this moving target the first try. Tatiana is going to miss it by just a little bit and Callie, the target's going to pass and then Callie fires at the place where it was a few seconds ago. Oh. Rick and mistake, you got to shoot where it's going.

You got to space invader this. I know the target. Tatiana, Callie, give me another shot with disadvantage. Okay. Now, this is your last try. Good. Glad. Oh. Oh. This is interesting. God damn it, Jamie. Callie is going to miss the target and you only get two shots for the last two targets. So unfortunately, Callie is out. She's just going to shrug and then give her a loaner bow back and be like, that was fun and then go hang out with Callie and Elena. Braylin shows up and goes, it's all right buddy, you got this. A crowd is starting to form because all day, no one's gotten this far in the competition.

Braylin and Tatiana in the last round, there is one distant target. All the way at the end. Now, thankfully, it's not moving. I want each of you to make a shot. You get two shots to try and hit this, but it's going to be the most difficult one so far. Okay. Before they shoot, Tatiana is going to look down at Braylin and she's going to be like, you want to call it evensies? On the bet. He's going to look up at her, shake his head, now, now Tatiana, that wouldn't be much fun now would it? Just sort of let out an exasperated sigh like, all right. Tatiana, Braylin, go ahead, make your shots.

And we don't click disadvantage. Nope. Okay. Stationary targets. Come on, baby. Oh, come on. Oh. Oh, God. Both of you are going to aim wide, one to the right, one to the left, and just not quite hit the target. Now, you have one more shot each. Yes! Oh, damn. And she will actually do that. She is going to like drop her bow and like, oh, God. Tatiana is going to strike dead center on this target while Braylin's shot is going to go wide. And the young lady running this, running this booth is just going to like give a big solid like clap, like, wow. Kind of shout to the crowd, we have a winner, everybody.

And the crowd's just going to like, wow, just start like losing their shit because no one's done this so far. Tatiana will just like sort of do like a very flourished bow to the left and then a bow to the right and she'll scoop up the gold pieces. Oh, Braylin groans. Oh, God. I tried to save and seize Braylin. I am a victim of my own hubris. Finger guns, walks away. It's mid-afternoon now. It's hovering right around that, that 4.30, 5 o'clock mark and everything's still going, still going strong here. The lady running this is going to not only give a 10 gold payout to Tatiana, but a gift certificate, a voucher to that restaurant I was telling you about, the Pounce and Claw, which is kind of it's in it.

So remember I said everything's really packed? Mm hmm. Like the Tipsy Pig, which is a little bar here and Breckin's Hearth, which is the inn. All these places are packed. There's lines to get in and out of them. But there's a couple of places in town where if you go down some back alleys, some places people don't know about, the lines are a lot less. And in the case of the Pounce and Claw, there's no line at all to get in. There's no wait to be seated. So maybe a free meal would make Braylin feel a little better. That's like South Central. There's good food there, but you got to go to the rough parts.

Right. Yeah. So what's everyone feeling? A meal would make me feel better, yes. Yeah, we can definitely go get something to eat. I think before we go, Tatiana would really quickly just buy two little tchotchke toy things at the festival and then they can go eat. I'm going to add your gold. Yeah. So going going again, kind of down these alleys and stuff like that, there's there's little shops. A lot of this stuff is closed. A lot of it's like fruit vendors and little knickknack places, pawn shop type of stuff.

A lot of this is just closed for the festival. But some of the restaurants and things are open. And eventually you're going to kind of wrap your way around these these alleys and some starting to set. So like it's these alleys are kind of shady and you're looking around and eventually you are going to find this establishment. It's it's taller than it is wide. It looks like it's a good like three stories or so. Kind of a thin little building with a red door and right above it. It's going to say the pounce and claw. But that's it. There's nothing to signify that this is a restaurant or that they sell things or anything.

Does it have any is there like a smell or anything that's coming out of it? Like you will smell food. OK, you have to get real close to the door, but you will smell food. And on the door, it looks like it's like it's painted on. It looks like the logo is like claw marks kind of diagonally, like down the door, kind of like a tihi like. But that's definitely their little calling card thing. It's fake, right? Yes. No, it's not real. Yeah, it's random. It's like, oh, all right. This is Fair Bay. That's not. Claw marks on doors, guys. Well, Tatiana would probably be familiar with this establishment, so I don't think she would probably just walk in without hesitation.

This place has actually opened within the last year. OK, never mind. It's not it's a fairly new establishment. That's probably why it doesn't have too much of a reputation. It's again, they kind of looks like they just kind of purchased real estate, just grabbed a place. I'm going to quote a movie, Jason. I don't know if you can figure this out. OK. This place is a summer restaurant. Looks like it hasn't been open for 10 summers. I don't know that reference. OK, it's a kid saying and there's a bunch of kids walking into a restaurant. The Sandlot. Nope. Little Rascals.

Oh, Goonies? Boom! Ian, that's what we're friends. Oh, I guess, though, I didn't know. I didn't know that reference. I guess that's a deeper. It's very obscure. Anyways, you've got I was going to guess heavyweights, but they were at a camp. So that made me stand by me. There's no restaurant stand by me. They do go to a convenience store. Purchase lunch, meat, bread. Anyway, walking into this little place, it's got kind of a rustic charm to it. There's going to be a stairwell right on your right. It doesn't look like this place is very deep. There will be like two small tables.

And then it looks like there's stairs leading up and stairs leading down. And you're going to hear clanking and clinking coming from downstairs. If you were to take a guess, it's that's probably where they cook the food. Sounds like there's a lot of activity. Sounds like that might be where the kitchen is. And there's going to be a guy clearly running the front of the house. And he's going to spot you. And kind of for a second, it looks like he's going to give this exasperated sigh and start to wander over to the party. I should say one more thing. This place is dead.

There's nothing going on in here. Oh, well, I know why they're sponsoring this archery competition, I suppose. Drum up business. Yeah, it's good marketing, though. The ambiance isn't desired. It needs a little, like the lighting is a little off. It could use some brightening up. The food smells good, though, so that's something. Oh, okay. So, guy's going to walk up to you. There's a stack of menus and stuff. Hey, name's Jeremy. Can I... How many of you are there? Four and a half, Jeremy. Oh, excuse me, Brelin. Yes. We'll need a high chair. Do you have an apple box?

Yeah, something with the finest wood. So like a real, like an oak wood high chair would be nice. And at the four and a half remark, he's going to look down at Brelin. All right. Follow me upstairs. And he is going to grab some menus and he is going to lead you guys to that really. It's a tight spiral staircase. It is a it is a you kind of got to duck down so you don't hit your head on the next the next level of stairs. Like you kind of know. Yeah, it's really cramped. It's kind of cramped. I think it's fabulous. It's perfect. Brelin would be comfy cozy. Like it's nice.

And at the top of the stairs, it does open up a little bit. And there's another couple of tables and he's going to kind of walk up to one of the tables and shove it aside so that the two tables become one. And he's going to sort of scatter the menus on the table, just kind of like throw them. Here you go. Do you know what you want or do you do you need need a minute or. Yeah, you know, Jeremy, we're going to need a couple of minutes, but thanks, Kyle. Really appreciate it. Yeah, fine. All kinds of. Yeah, that kind of shit. There's something on the menu called free range water. No, it's probably from that local we saw. It's free range water and it's three gold a glass like it is. God, look, it's pretty this place is pretty, pretty up there. They they have some brass balls charging what they charge unless this food is amazing. Tatiana, you're from here. Is this have you been here before? Is it familiar place to you? No, it wasn't here when I was last here. I honestly I had no I had no idea that there were such things as free range water, especially here in Fair Bay.

Right. What even what I can do that. It's called gentrification. It doesn't seem to be a lot of business here either. It's very empty. Well, with the festival going on, I'm sure that there's a lot more, let's say, cheaper options available. Oh, you're probably right. Yeah, this kind of freaky guys. I mean, we're certainly not safe from bad service, but from any kind of danger, I think we'll be OK. Really gives you a high five.

And he's got a kind of motion to a lot of you are wearing either leather or or, you know, flat out armor. And he's just kind of you can there's almost a mocking tone in Gregory's voice. I'm going to pull out her voucher very matter of factly and just sort of like, you know, when somebody will take a dollar bill and they'll like go, or they'll like pull each side of it to make it sort of snap.

Yeah. So she's going to snap a few times and be like, you are looking at a archery champion here, Gregory. And she'll just sort of put it on the table and then slide it on over. Freylin, I roll of the biggest I rolls in the universe. For the table, Gregory. And is his business always this slow? First, he is going to look at this voucher like you just farted in his mouth. Like, Gregory is going to take this and first examine it, but kind of pinch it with his thumb and forefinger and kind of hold his pinky out while looking at it and adjust his glasses and arch an eyebrow like, "Ah hah, of course." And he is going to kind of stuff it into his little pad here, his little parchment.

Well, we are a bit more discerning than some of the establishments in the town, so we expect a bit more from our clientele. Have you had a chance to decide what you want? Or would you like to hear the specials? Oh, definitely want to hear the specials, please. Absolutely. Of course. I hate this guy. Then I'm doing my job. What if Trent was our waiter? We can start you out with a fruit salad served in a miniature watermelon. And it's topped with a lovely acorn dressing. And it also is topped in a lovely acorn dressing with a blueberry reduction next to it. Oh, yeah, I like that reduction. That's impressive. Wow. I didn't know that that could be done. I assure you, it's to die for. So I don't like when you say the word die. That's really interesting to me. How about you give us those drinks first? We asked for drinks and the gentleman before you was actually kind of acting like a... I didn't appreciate the way he was treating us. Let's get a minute to decide what we're going to eat here. And he is going to shuffle away and go back down the stairs to get you more bread and drinks.

We're going to look at Elena and say, "Hey, did you put any in your vest? Did you do it?" He was standing right there. I didn't really think about it, but I totally will next batch. Alright, that's rule number one. Well, rule number 15 of surviving out there. Steal the bread. It's really important. Don't call it steal. You know what? No, scratch that. Don't call it steal. Because then people are going to call you a thief. Even if you saved some guy's life just because you took off his boots first, this is not a big deal. That's a story for another time. So he's going to return with another batch of bread, eventually, and your drinks.

"Yeah, the pig sounds good." That pained him. You struck him with a verbal arrow right in the chest. He's doing it on purpose at this point. He just wants to see how this guy... He wants to see him in pain. What is the most expensive item? Well, this... Man, this is a fishing community, right? And essentially there is a sampler dish that assembles the greatest treasures to be pulled out of the waters of Fair Bay in the Cerulean Sea.

And it is essentially... It is cooked to perfection and served to you. It is a large platter. I can almost guarantee you, you will not be able to finish it. But it will be a glorious sampling of everything this lovely town has to offer. Perfect. I will tell him I'd like two and a half glasses of the free range water and I'll take the sampler platter, please. Of course. And he's going to continue going into it. It's murdering him inside, killing him. Jason, would you say that the sampler platter is probably the most amount of food that you would get for one meal on the menu?

Oh, Jesus, probably on the mainland. Like it's a ridiculous... Unless it's a competition. Like it's... That is... That plate is 20 gold. That's funny. For one plate. That is insane. I mean, we'll be waiting for the same amount of time, so...

I have to puke, I'm dying. And what about Callie? Callie was going to say, I'll take the fruit salad, but I'm not sure about that acorn dressing. So let's just skip that. If we had gotten enough sweater, we would not be acting this way. So time is going to pass here. About 35, 40 minutes later, you guys are going to get plates. I assume a few more batches of bread will be delivered to the table. This will probably be the last time they ever sponsor a competition in this town.

And is there anything you guys would be discussing while you're sitting here? Like, okay, future plans. After the festival wraps up, what's the goal? What's the plan? So we're great. I think, yeah, overall, I know that before they leave town, Tatiana really wants to see her folks because she hasn't seen them in quite a while. So, yeah, she would probably want to bring that up. Yeah. Well, Kaldin would say, so I know we've sort of taken the temperature a little bit about going to the Silver Glade. And Tatiana, you've had some family stuff here. How long does the festival go on for?

Sounds like something I would know. It's really, there's a little bit of a ramp up before the first and there's kind of a soft opening. Then the first is like the big extravaganza and then it starts to kind of peter out after that. Like, shops start opening up a couple of days later and stuff. It's kind of a one day big event. Okay, so she'll sort of respond. Well, you know, we hit it on the biggest day. I mean, the shops are still going to be around a little bit tomorrow, but mostly people are going to start packing up, that sort of thing. I mean, I don't know this area very well.

There might be someone in town who knows the Silver Glade a little bit better than any of us. Maybe we can stay here, lay low for a little bit. You can wrap up whatever you need to do with your family and I can go looking for someone who might be able to guide us. Sure, my dad might know somebody too. I mean, he pretty much knows everybody in town. So they might even let us stay there if there's room. I don't know if my brother is home or not. Perfect. That sounds, I mean, I don't want to be, I don't want to impose on your family. But if there's an invitation, it would be happily accepted.

And she'll sort of nod like, yeah, it shouldn't be a problem. We can ask at least. And I don't know if it would be noticed, but she hasn't really touched her food. She's just sort of eating the free bread. And if Gregory passes by, she would ask for a doggy bag. Just the worst people. So after time, he would help pack anything up that isn't eaten and all of that. I think Gregory is going to kind of hang out a bit. Like he's expecting a tip. Hey, man, forced gratuity is only for parties of six or more. Here's a tip, stay in school, Gregory. See you later. No, I put it on the table for him.

I put like five gold. You know, you are a good guy. Kind of. Because we're assholes and I know it. As you guys are getting ready to leave, downstairs, you're going to hear yelling. It's distance. It's kind of just kind of like shouting in the kitchen. It sounds like someone's just kind of having an argument, maybe over the food, maybe over hours, something like there's something going on. And then it's going to stop after a few moments. But it does sound like things are a little heated downstairs. And if there's nothing else, you guys are going to shuffle out.

It is now. It's nighttime. It's dark. Oh, really? What was happening downstairs? Can we get a little bit some cool off and take a little peek? I mean, that's up to you. Again, it didn't sound like there's a fight. Just sounded like yelling. And Gregory would be behind you, just kind of gently ushering you out. Just kind of that. All right, go away. That type of thing. Cauldron will be like, oh, one last thing, Gregory. I need to use the privy. Is it in the back here? Can you just point it to me? Oh, we don't have a public restroom. It's quite filthy, actually, to have one in the establishment.

There is one in the alley. What kind of restaurant, man? Gregory, are you telling me you're violating health codes? Surely a fine establishment like this boiling crab claw, whatever you call yourself. Boiling crab claw? It has a privy within the premises. With running water, of course. Invent pipes and then... Profit. Step forth. I assure you, the one in the alley is very close by. As long as your friend can hold it until then, I'm sure he'll be just fine. It's quite sanitary. Very seldomly used. What happens when your chefs and everybody needs to use the restroom, Gregory?

Do they go to the alley too? They go outside, sir. Hmm, that's kind of nice. Okay. Well, alright. I'll go to the alley then. Holding it is a bit of a problem for me, so I'll just cut through here and I'll just start going back to where the stuff is, trying to make my way back. Excuse me, sir. That's the kitchen. It looks like there were two or three more batches of bread though, ready to go in case someone were to need them, because there's been a run on bread tonight. Quickly takes me to... Yeah, I take one roll as well and just like stuff it. Are your pockets just coated in bread? Could it stop an arrow?

Yeah, so just like, if I run into my dead brother who's probably not really dead and he shoots me in the chest again, I'm gonna have a bread ready to take a shot. Alaina hasn't taken any bread yet, but when she sees the bread she'll be like, "Oh hell yeah, more bread!" and she'll take a bunch. Are you all in the kitchen? Tatiana's not in the kitchen. No, she's gone. So, Braylin, Kaladin, and Alaina are in the kitchen. I just follow it along. Why not? What I'm- I am trying to find the source of this chatter. That's what I'm trying to do. Oh, okay. There's a kitchen staff.

There's a- there's a couple of people in here and there's a male and a female, a female tiefling and a male- male human and they're- they're sort of cleaning things up. And you ever walk into a room where there was just an argument or there was- there was a- there was yelling or something like that and you kind of feel it in the air. It's like a- like a thickness, like a stiff. That's kind of what you're walking into. Like they're- neither one of them are speaking. They are going to turn around and look at you like, "What are you doing in this kitchen?

What are you doing?" And they're both kind of kind of look- look at each other and then- and then look at you. "Can- can we help you with something?" And Gregory's going to file in right behind and start trying to get you out of the kitchen. Like, "Excuse me. This is quite unorthodox. Could you please leave our establishment?" Yes, of course, Gregory, of course. I just wanted to- I see there's no door- there is no door to the bathroom or to the alley. Okay, yeah, I'm just in the kitchen. Another helpful violation might I have? I'll be like, "I see there's- there's no access to the alley.

That's- that's fine." Well, then my compliments to the people here who made our meal. It was very delicious. Thank you. Thank you very much. Please, on your way. And Khaldun will- Khaldun will look at the hand and look at Gregory. You can just like feel the cold just like coming out of his eyes, but he will look at the kitchen staff and give a small nod and then turn around and start to exit out the kitchen.

It makes me sad that I got the Pretty Woman reference and not the Goonies reference. I- I'm kind of a nerd, am I? So shuffling out into the alley. That was- that was tense. That was tenser than it probably should have been for a restaurant. Yeah! Fucking shit, man. He tried to control my body. So walking out into this alley, it's nighttime, there's lanterns lit, and you kind of hear- you kind of hear people kind of in the distance still having fun.

Still the carnival, the kind of festival thing is still in full swing. People are- people are having a ball. And there's gonna be a voice that sort of calls out. You guys are partway into this alley, kind of walking back. And you're gonna hear chatter. Is that them? Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I thought he'd be taller. Uh, nope. Nope. A lot of them. Knives. Excellent.

This is a house of Galbog goons. Have I ever seen them? And they are going to... The leader, quote unquote, is going to move toward you. Alright. We're here to take you and... And he's kind of scanning over the party. That one. And point to Kaladin. We're here to take you back to Brightport. And the less you resist, the easier this whole thing's going to go. No, sir. Unfortunately, I choose violence. Finger guns. What? For real? Are you kidding me? You really think I'm going to let some dude who needs to go to the dentist, probably like five years ago, take me away?

There's a really crappy gang of thugs that were kind of searching for a name, something to strike fear in the hearts of adventurers and stuff. And they're really just stick up artists. They're pickpockets and thieves. They really will just hold people at knife point and try to take valuables from the weak.

And they were searching for a name and they kind of settled on a few. One of them was the Fang, though, that they thought that that was going to, it's like, oh, you hear that name, man, you're done. Like, you just surrender your goods right now, that type of thing. But they were, they were a really small group kind of kind of hanging out right in that, like the Esther Holt Fair Bay Road, like in between, really just kind of jumping out of bushes, sticking people up. This is kind of new. They're not really bounty hunters and they're not, they're indicating that it's a big gang.

Okay, okay. Pretend you still don't know, it'll be funnier. Well, Cauldron will ask them, so are you the Fang or do you work for the Fang? I mean, we're all the Fang. We're part of it. We're all of it. And he's kind of pointing to everybody. He doesn't come off as too bright. No. So wouldn't you then be like the Fangs, like, you know, plural because there's more than one of you? Well, it's about, I mean, the Fang, the Fangs, the Fang, like the Black Hand, you know, it's one person, but it's a singular entity. We're one. Yes, exactly. Yeah, the Black Hand, that's a real gang.

Those guys. Remember those guys? Okay, hold on. Are you associated with the Black Hand at all? We're out- You know them. We take outside contracts, but we're no less than the Black Hand. Okay, we're pretty, we're right up there. And he's kind of holding his hand up, like, kind of like to measure. It's like we're like right, right underneath, right there. One of the other thugs. This is taking a long time. [Laughter] You know what? Colin's right. If you could just surrender and come with us, that would be really helpful. Otherwise, we have to put holes in you. And I think it devalues your worth. I'm not sure. They didn't say dead, so I'm assuming they want you back alive. Who is they? Well, we're supposed to bring you back to the Fang leadership, and then they're supposed to get credit for bringing you to the Hand. Can Tatiana sort of step up a little, just a little bit? Yeah. She'll be like, "Listen, listen up, buttercup.

I honestly don't think that this is a very, very smart or great idea for you. And I mean, think about it. Boss tells you to go here, do that, let me take the credit for it. That's not fair. So how about you guys just turn around, say you couldn't find us, and then we won't have to hurt you?" And I was hoping to do like a persuasion roll. Sure. Okay. And he's gonna listen to this. "Well, it's an entry level position. There's room for improvement. And you don't get paid big on your first few jobs." Well, there's not gonna be room for improvement if we have to kill you right now, is there?

I mean, you're just gonna go home, either in a body bag, and your poor family, I mean, think of them, little Timmy, right? It's just really sad. Brelin wants to shop in the back. "Put him in a body bag!" Colin from the other end of the alley is gonna... "Come on!" Hearing that, Colton will look back, and look at this guy who's been talking and be like, "You know what? He's right." And he'll look at Brelin and say, "So much for laying low." And he is gonna take the drink that he has and fling the liquid out of it, and it's gonna freeze into like frozen icicles, basically, and send an attack out to these guys.

The witch? Oh my god. Oh my goodness, that's escalation if I've ever heard of it. I almost had him, man, I almost had him. Who are you flicking at specifically? I guess, well, I guess whoever the main guy who's been talking to us, and then the guy next to him. Okay, so that would be Bandit #1, right at the top. Or Timmy's dad, as we will now refer to him. Timmy's dad. Wait, is he Colin? He's Colin, right? Colin's the guy at the bottom of the screen, at number 3. Can we name this guy Roger? Sure. Roger, Timmy's dad. I like how there's lore. Do me a favor, roll an attack roll.

What do you hit him with? Well, I was thinking of magic missile. I'm doing like a magic missile attack, but I'm flinging all this stuff out and it's coming out like ice. Sure. I would say this guy is ill-prepared for the attack based on his incompetence. Magic missile auto-hits too, I think. Mm-hmm. Good lord. Okay, that is 10 damage. Good lord. Are you missing one? Me? Yeah, isn't it three darts? I could do three, but I was just doing it in front of these guys. I mean, I was like, you know, like flinging it out, flinging the liquid out in front of you. It is going to, okay, so you're going to hit this bandit and it is going to pierce his chest.

It is going to catch him off guard. Just like, "The fuck?" This escalated way quicker and he is going to motion to the rest of the crew to just openly attack. Just get him and get the rest of them. Everyone do me a favor, roll initiative. Before I roll initiative, Tatiana is just going to go, "God damn it," and she is going to set her doggy-bad aside. Oh yeah, the food. Oh my god, these bandits are fast. Not as fast as Kalvin, though. Where is initiative? The one time I rolled good initiative. I guess it makes sense in this context. It is all good. We are clean-up hitters.

Me, Kalie, and Tatiana will be clean-up crew. Okay, not all these thugs. Not all these thugs and bandits are quick. Wow, okay. I'm last. Kaladin, you're up first. Well, it worked once. I guess we'll do it again. Kaladin will take Braelon's drink this time and fling the liquid out. But this time, since they look like they are all going to attack, he is going to hit the first two and then fling one behind him as well. Braelon is like, "Oh no, my drink." I think it got him all. Yeah, it did. Okay, cool. It did get him all. So what's going to happen is this ice dart is going to jettison out from Kaladin and go just drive right through the eye of this bandit.

Just right through the eye. He is going to drop to his knees and then fall over with a crunch as this ice dart is going to hit the ground and drive further into his skull. Aw, poor Roger. Kaladin will say, as he flings this thing and sees this one go, he will say, "Leave one of them alive." You got it, boss. Damn, okay. Jesus. And I think you see that angry, cold look that he gave Gregory in the restaurant, that's like return to his face. You can just feel this icy glare coming off of him. Good lord. Okay, anything else? I think I'll just, that'll be my turn.

Okay. Elena. Elena will turn to Kaladin and say, I mean, was that really necessary? She'll take out her sword, but she's not going to do anything, so she'll, I guess, delay her turn. Oh god. Braelon. Okay. He's going to go to Kaladin and say, "That was my drink, man." Then he's going to point to Thug 1 and give him some dissonant whispers. I got a lot of time left. I'm going to dance again. Thug will fail the saving roll. Like attack, damage, right? Yep. Holy shit. Oh, nice. Three, six, I keep the damage. That will kill this other Thug. He must immediately use his reaction to move as far away from me as possible.

Well, he's dead. Yeah, he moved as far away. He moved on to the next life. Is there anything else? Yeah, it's not going to be, it's not going to be, it's not going to be the George Michael song. It's going to be the Stone Temple Pilot song, interstate love song. Woo hoo. Uh, Jesus. Thug number three is going to look to his last compadre here and say, "They can't take us all?" With that inflection? With that inflection. Just kind of like shrug, just like, "They can't take us all?" Oh, that means more cut for us if we take them in. Maybe completely delusional is Thug number three.

I do love these guys. They're so brave. Thug number three is going to move up to Calli and he is going to pull out a mace and he's going to swing down at Calli and he is going to hit. How? And he is going to do five damage to Calli. Why? To just beat you into submission so that you'll come peacefully. I want to interject my turn. Go ahead. Okay. So I'm going to step up to Thug number three and I will say, "You could have just left." And I will hit him with my longsword, but I don't want to kill him so maybe I'll like... Just hit him with the butt of it? Yeah, that's what I was thinking.

Like, hit him with the butt of the sword. Just try and knock him out. Okay. These guys are a threat, man. So you should maybe start treating him like a threat. But sure. The butt of your sword. Let's see if it hits. That! Oh, you weren't targeting him. Oh, wow. I totally forgot about doing that. That's going to hit, though. Okay. That is going to hit. So I don't want to kill him. Now I know. It has been established. That is six damage to the thug, so you're just going to drive the butt of your weapon against his head. And just kind of... Ow! Like, kind of back up for a second and hold his skull.

Anything else? I'll probably yell at him again. Just be like, "Just go away!" Thug number two is going to move up to his buddy, next to Elena, and go, "Hey! Take your hands off of him!" Wait, is that Connor? Connor's the guy you just hit. Oh, I hit Connor. Colin's the guy you just hit. Sorry. Oh, Colin. I know. I didn't think it was Colin, but I didn't think it was Connor, but I said it anyway. So because he's standing next to his buddy, he's going to get advantage on this roll. And he is going to target Elena and use his mace. Oh, that is going to hit. Six damage to Elena.

Tatiana, your turn. Alright, so after putting her leftovers safely on the ground... A rat comes by and... I didn't touch an ounce of that food for a reason. And she just looks frustrated at this point. And I don't know if this is possible, but I'm going to ask anyway. I have rope in my inventory. Is it at all possible for me to tie the rope to one of my arrows and then shoot thug number three in the calf so that if he tries to run away, he can't? I'd say that way down the arrow significantly. But I'm pretty close to him. I mean, I would say it would be easier just to try and lasso him.

Okay, I will try to do that then. Okay, so I'd say that would take an action to sort of tie this up. Unless this is something that you just always have ready? Probably not. Okay. But I will use my action to do that. Okay. I'd probably have to get close to him, wouldn't I? You're pretty close. Within like 10 feet? You know. Callie. So, thug number three hit me and it hurt. And so now I'm going to entangle him with like, I would assume there's like some roots and stuff underneath like all this cobblestone. Oh yeah. Cool. He is going to, so these roots are going to start to try and grab at his ankles and stuff like that and he is just going to pull away and just manage to succeed and break these.

Does not entangle. Fine. Aw. It's fine from school. Callen the murderer. That's a good title. I should keep going. Callen will move out from behind Tatiana and point his hand out at this thug in the back. Is this the one who was talking? Does he have a name? Is he a named thug? The one that was talking right up there, thug number three, would be Colin. Okay, so he'll do to the one in the back because I think everyone's trying to like tangle up thug three Colin here. Mm-hmm. And he will point out his hand and there'll be sort of like this sublimation frost that will coalesce around his hand and then come out of his finger like a very, like a very thin ray shooting out into this guy.

Oh good lord. Hold on. Hold on. You crit. Yes. Oh my god. Okay, get ready. So everyone at home, we're playing with crit tables for both successes and failures for PCs and NPCs. There are tables that will be rolled upon. So, Callen is going to flick this jagged piece of ice at thug number four. And it is going to shear the head from his neck. The head is going to drop off of his shoulders and sort of boom, boom, boom onto the ground. Oh, I love it. Can it like, can it get frozen and when it drops it shatters? I'm sorry, was the decapitation not gruesome enough for you?

Colin is going to shit himself. Oh no. Colin is going to throw his hands up and surrender. Braelyn, your turn. I'm going to jump on the back. Colin, babe, you're making a good move. I'm going, he threw his weapon down, right? He just, he just quit. Like he's just like, alright, done. Picking up his weapon. Pointing out my rapier. Pointing to his, I'm looking at him and seeing if he's got a belt pouch. Yeah, yeah, pretty sad. Pointing to the belt pouch. What? Are you trying to get him to like, just hand it over? Put that on the ground too, buddy. Are you robbing him now?

He's going to, he's going to just take off his belt entirely and just drop it. Sadly, his pants are a little slack. And they're going to start to drop too a bit and he's going to use one hand to sort of hold them up. So he's got one hand in the air and surrender and the other one is just holding up his slacks. Perfectly allowed. I'm going to swipe the belt, take the belt patch, throw his belt back at him. Go ahead, put your pants back on. Tatiana will tie him up with the rope that she got after he's done. Yeah, yeah. How much are we talking in this little pouch?

How much did I have to pay him? Two gold. Woah! That's the end of my turn. That'll take you guys out of combat, by the way. Elena's going to mumble under her breath. I told him to go away. I learned a little trick or two. New magics, let's call it. If we want him to be friendly towards us in case he's not going to tell us the whole truth, I might be able to do something about that. He's going to start to look worried.

Colin's going to look worried. Yeah, Colton will just smile and gesture, like, "Go ahead." Okay. Braylon will crack his knuckles. Colin, baby! I'm going to need you to do the hole real still. Why? Well, he's all tied. I'm going to play a song for you, of course. I'm going to play whatever R&B song I decide is hot and heavy and use Charm Person. Ooh. I think he saved. He did. He's going to listen to you play the song. Are you trying to seduce me? [laughter] I'm going to back away, say, "Colton, everybody, scare him, please." [laughter] And he's going to lean over to Colin and say, "No offense, I'm not that into him.

He's not my type." The song needs some work. It was a good song. Braylon, I guess we'll just have to try another tactic, and Colton will manifest just sort of like an icy dagger out of his hand. And he'll say, "We don't need you to be our friend. You will need to tell us the truth. You said you are contracted by the Black Hand. Is that correct?" Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, the job was kind of handed down to us. The Fang leadership took it, and then they just sent us out to get you. We thought it'd be easy. Who is the Fang leadership? Well, okay. You're not going to cut me, right?

If I tell you who they are, I'll tell you where they are. Just don't cut my head off, okay? Yeah, Colton, chill. I don't... I didn't say that. Oh, man. You got me. You got me. I love it. Colton will look at Tatiana and then look back at the guy. Look at Tatiana and high-fiver. Yes! No, he'll look at this thing and say, "I don't want to kill you, and I don't want any more violence to happen tonight. As long as you answer truthfully, you might walk out of here alive." Okay. So, the Fang leadership. Okay. You're looking for the four of them. They're in White Hedge right now.

They took a trip up to Brightport to meet with the Hand, because they're just looking to branch out, okay? You're looking for Brock and Krista and Trent and Ripley, and they're all in White Hedge, and that's where you'll find them right now. Can you say those names a little slower there, baby, please? Can I do an insight? You absolutely can. Cool. This poor Colin, this poor kid, he is in a panic. He just watched three of his associates, maybe not friends, but three of his associates get brutally butchered. One got eyeshamped, shut through his eye, and the other one's just got his head clean, fucking shaved off.

These are some stakes. He's probably standing in a pool of his friends' blood right now. They were really close. So he's just terrified and just rattling off names, just like, "There they are, go get them." How did mine die? Yours? I don't remember what he meant. He just felt really bad about himself. He just collapsed. Oh my god. Oh, my bad. It was Brock, just to clarify, so it was Brock, Krista, Trent, and Ripley? At the sound of that name, Tatiana is going to noticeably tense up and then sort of like shake it off, and she will walk up to Colin, extra friendly, and she will just ask him, "Okay, sweetie, and you said they were in Whitehead right now?" That's where they were when we last left them, yep.

And she's actually going to put her hand on his, because he's all tied up, she's going to put her hand on his shoulder and sort of brush away some of his hair. Do you know where they're going to be next? I think they were supposed to meet us on the road towards Lockford. If we got the job done, they were just going to take you from there to Brightport? When were you expected? About three, four days. You've done a real good job, honey. Thanks? You're not going to hurt me, right? She's going to smile and walk over, pick up her leftovers, and start to walk out of the alley.

Brandon's going to look to Colin and the rest of your, I mean, maybe we make him correct his life when we let him go. I mean, I think we've killed enough people today, right? Cauldron is going to take the dagger and just fling it against the wall so it shatters, all the while just looking this guy in the eyes and say, "Where are you going right now?" I don't know. I'll go wherever you want me to go as long as you don't hurt me. Well, you're not going back to Brightport, and you're not going back to Whitehedge. So where are you going to go? West? I could go west.

I'll go to Esterhold. I'll go to Esterhold and I'll just lay low. I'll leave you folks alone and that'll be the end of it. Sounds good, Colin, but I think that you should take it one step further. I think you should join the church there and make amends for all your sins. Which church? Whatever. It doesn't matter. Either one will be good for you, buddy. Look at you. Come on. Keep up. Okay. Alright. Change your life. Don't do this. You're better than this. Okay. Colin will take the bread out of his clothes and just like put it in the guy's thing, pet him on the thing and say, "I didn't catch your name.

What was it?" Colin? That's right. Have fun out west, Colin. And he'll walk out the alley following Tatiana. Same as easy. Can I get untied? Oh god, yeah. Oh, go ahead, Alina. Well, Alina's going to look at him and say, "Dude, I told you to just go away." And then she'll walk away towards Tatiana. He's going to look down like sad. "Yeah, you did. I know. I know." So you do untie him, correct? He does untie, yes. Okay. Guys, I think that's a good time for us to stop for the night. And the next time we play, we are going to finish things up in Fair Bay and then I want to know what your next move is.

Because you may have people looking for you. Yeah, we got these three aptly named people. Who are these people? Out of game. I got Brock, Krista, Trent, and Ripley. No way. Brock, Krista, they motherfuckers. Oh, are those those two assholes who dug up your friends and used their weapons and shit? And Ripley's from my backstory. He's also the worst. Yeah, it sounded like you knew somebody. So we got to find out about that maybe next time. Yeah, Val and Karen, I remember that episode. I 100% remember that one now. Fuck Trent. They were assholes. They were rude. Like, Jason painted them like genuine grade-A assholes.
