Right now we're floating around number 16. We want to be number one one day.
That is crazy, I know! But we can do it with your help. Without further ado, please enjoy today's show. Previously for Group A, the team chose their new goal from a selection of missions offered in Winterhaven. They're off to the city of Donhurst in the east to try and figure out what happened to the town's population. Rumors of demonic possession or demons inhabiting the city itself gave the group more than ample cause to investigate. And that's where we're picking up with things today. Group A heading east from Winterhaven and starting their long journey on the road.
Let's do that thing where we go around the table and introduce ourselves. I'm Jason, I'm the Dungeon Master. And we're going around the table starting with Michael. Hi, I'm Michael and I play Amvin, the half-elf wizard who may or may not die today. Never gonna die. Never ever. [laughter] He's two days from retirement. And Rob! [laughter] Rob? Oh, I didn't hear my... I missed my cue. Oh, that's okay. Okay, back it up. Okay, let's go again. No one saw nothing in the chat. And Rob! Hey, I'm Rob. I play Ubo, the half-orc druid of the mountain. And Kelsey. I'm Kelsey and I play Aster, the elf fighter rogue archer. [laughter] Pastry chef.
Aster wears many hats. That's why I usually just abbreviate it to "archers" and like that's what they do, but it's... I just, I wanted to say the whole thing. They had this thing where I could build my own major and I just went nuts with it. [laughter] It's only two classes. I'd go for more. And Susan. Hey, I'm Susan and I play Mattie, the hewing cleric. See, it's simple, it's easy, just one and done. It rolls right off the tongue. And James. Hey, it's James. I play Masoka, the half-elf rogue. And Xavier. [speaking French] Trust me on that. Yes. Wow. I figure I never spoke French on this podcast.
Goodness gracious. Jason, are you fanning yourself? Yes, thank you. That didn't come through on audio, I didn't think, but oof. Goes without saying. Wow. Okay. [laughter] And now the viewership will spike. Yep, that's all we need. Trying to do my fun. That's... Ah. We are recording live. This is the last session of the day on Tharryathon 2018. So we have a live chat in the audience. Let's talk about this four. A four was rolled for the beginning of your journey toward Donhurst. Of course, you've got to get through two towns before you even get to the Divide, then get to Donhurst.
So you are four and a half days outside of Aubrey. It is the sixth affair of yore. And it's going to start to rain. Not really hard. But it's going to be cold and a bit windy. Before we advance time here, is there anything you guys want to talk about? Anything you want to do? Again, this is the first day out on the road. You're leaving the comfort and safety of Winterhaven and you're striking it out. Doing what adventurers do. Here's a question. Whenever we roll high or low, do we have this feeling that something bad is going to happen during the day? [laughter] You know that sixth sense?
What if we just pretend every day is a great day? I mean, in theory, I think we all think there's someone behind us that's going to, you know, mess in the back. Well, OK. If you were to... OK, let's break this down, because I've had people ask this question before, too. Let's say in your day to day life, how would you classify your last Tuesday in a dice roll? Right? Like some people, you have a bad day, your car breaks down or your laptop dies or whatever. You would associate... it's like, oh, boy, that was a five of a day. That really sucked. I would imagine as an adventurer being out on the road, I think it's more in hindsight.
I think it's after you get done the day, you can kind of... if you were to assign a number to it, you'd go, oh, boy, that was a real two, guys. We really rolled a two today. That type of thing. I don't think it would be a "I got a bad feeling about this" vibe from... Now, if you're in the middle of the divide, I think it's natural to just be wary of things, or if you're traveling through the silver glade at night, something like that. I think you'd be more wary, but I don't think you'd have like a sixth sense type of thing. Cool. I'm just curious. No. Is there a point, though, when there's so much danger all the time that you're just sort of desensitized to it?
Numb to it? You know, just another day? For adventure, adventure specifically? Yeah. I mean, your job is to travel from place to place and deal with problems. That's why people pay you to do stuff. So usually problems end up being solved with violence or like, OK, very few, very few problems in cities are going to be solved by putting on a play. So you think? I mean, hey, if you guys can. Awesome. Like, if you can get the orcs and elves to put aside their differences to the art and majesty of interpretive dance, go for it. I can't wait to see it. Ooh. Therian Olympics.
Uvo begins to gyrate hypnotically. We got to bring out that baby oil again. Yeah. Give peace a chance. So to answer your question, this appears to be a day pretty much like any other. Although some people look at bad weather as a bad omen, specifically if you're if you're setting out and the weather's just crappy, it's just like, oh, that's not an auspicious start. But a cold drizzle really isn't that big a deal. You guys have dealt with far worse. Do you know how hard it is to write in my book in the rain? And then if you're going to be like this the whole trip.
I would say, ah, about six to seven hours into your first day, you're going to come across a pretty crappy sight. There is an overturned cart in the road. There is a dead horse next to it. Can I get a perception check from everybody? Because I'd say that you'd see this down the road quite a bit. No. Goodness gracious. Yeah, no. OK, guys, I got it. Or no, Uvo does. Like I said, oh, covering that book and Mattie hates rainy days, so that's probably what's happening. She's fucking miserable. Is that a monitor thing or just I don't want to get wet thing? It's a it's actually a Mattie thing.
OK, here's the thing. I think that's a completely reasonable reaction to being rained on, especially if you're walking, if you're marching in the rain. It's just like, oh, and you know, you take a break and stuff and then you get back out on the road, that that type of thing. The only thing good about it is that it's cool out like you're not going to get too sweaty in the road ahead of you. Uvo is going to spot this from a good distance away. Not only is this cart overturned and apparently some violent act has befallen this poor wagon and the horse that was dragging it along.
There is there's blood in the road. Obviously, a lot of that's probably coming from the horse, but Ubo would probably guess that the occupants of this cart did not fare too well. Now, oh, God, I was going to say, can I follow the blood to its source? So the rain is making that a bit difficult. It's just a big pull. But hovering around the back of the cart, Ubo is going to spot something very interesting. Can I get you to give me a history check, please? From Ubo? From Ubo. OK. I'm aghast. History is that one. Boom. That's 13. That's not bad at all. Ubo is going to spot a dire bear.
Ah, yes. The history calls dire bear. Does the dire bear spot back? No, no, no, no, not yet. This is very important. Would Ubo tell the rest of the party what's going on at this point? Is it a live dire bear? Yes, very alive. OK. Ubo would kind of do the like, you know, fist up in the air, like the stop kind of thing. And then, tell me more about this bear, Jason. Well, Ubo would have heard some stories putting two and two together. This isn't just any dire bear. This is old Claudius. Old Claudius. I'm sure that means it's like really bad and terrible, but that's just like...
No, no, no, that's just the name that's been given by the... It's like, oh, that's old Claudius. No, no, no. Wait, wait, wait. Is it the D-L-A-W? Yeah, that's what I was about. It's very important. It depends. Some people have spelled it. Yes, that's... But in like his licensed children's book, how is it spelled? That has yet to be written. That is, that's... Hey, if anybody wants to get on it, Amven. Amven, yeah. Yeah. It's only funny in common, though. Yeah, it loses something in the Elvish translation, but... So, okay, this dire bear... Do you ever hang out around really old people and they talk about a majestic fishing spot and that they go like, okay, like a grumpy or old men, if anybody has seen that movie?
Essentially, old Claudius has that reputation. Sadly, he has a reputation for mauling pedestrians and that's his lot in life. Old Claudius, depending on who you ask, is decades old, has been roaming the area between Winterhaven and out as far as Durnhollow and just pops up every once in a while, will tackle a cart, depending on how hungry he is, take swipes at passersby on horses and stuff like that. There have been whole hunting parties sent out after old Claudius. This is not only a local legend, but kind of a local nuisance as well. There are some druids who have kind of advocated for the right to Claudius just to exist and be part of the food chain.
And there are hunters that would love... Like, you could make a name off of bagging old Claudius. Now, let me give you some stats. Tell me his free throw average, Jason. [laughter] I'm just going... [singing] Yes! Starting line up! Claudius, the M Vingslayer. [laughter] Oh, man. Don't... Okay, look. Claudius... This is conservative estimates based on local legend. Ubo would know that old Claudius is about 11 and a half feet from tail to snoot. Okay. Uh, probably weighs somewhere in the area of 7,000 pounds. That's a lot of bear. That's used bear. [laughter] How much of the...
So, decades old. This, like... There are stories about old Claudius of him just taking off people's heads with one swipe and, you know, just like countless deaths have been attributed to old Claudius. Now, you don't know exactly how much of that is kind of Paul Bunyan tall tales. You don't know how much of that is actual, "This is just a big fucking bear who eats people." How much of this would you be relaying to the party? Um, well, I guess... Do y'all want to peek around the corner here and get an eye full of this thing? I would say that based on your perception check, you have enough...
Like, you have seen enough, at least upper body of this bear. Like, you have a pretty good idea that this is the same bear, and at the very least, it's just a really big dire bear. Okay. So, Ubo kind of looks back to the party and says, "I've heard the humans call this bear 'old Claudius.'" "He's very strong." Oh, Jason, what's the orcish take on old Claudius? Like, has he killed a lot of orcs, too? Well, roaming the area up to the Divide, yeah. Like, orcs have been mauled to death, too. And when I said hunting parties, I didn't just mean human hunting parties.
People have been searching for this bear for a while. And, you know, some people end up dead. Some people just don't end up finding him. But, again, fame comes with disadvantages. And one of them is that a lot of people want this bear's head. There are probably people who, one, would pay you a pretty penny for taking care of this very large problem. And two, it would probably come with a certain amount of... a certain amount of fame. Well, okay. Here's the thing. I imagine there are touchy-feely sects of druids that have an issue, that live-and-let-live issue that you talked about.
The orcish tradition doesn't have that problem, right? Because there's a certain amount of might-makes-right in orcish culture that I imagine is transferable to their druidic tradition. So, yeah. No, Ubo kind of looks back at the party and says, "Old Claudius killed many men. Many orcs. We could show our might and bring him down." Could I see any disadvantage, because we're in the rain, in the mud, issues with this fight? I mean, I think the big issue would be it's an 11.5-foot-tall bear. Well, that's granted. Granted. Cute. That's a pretty big disadvantage.
But I'm like, would there be any rough terrain or anything? Not in the middle of the road. The most you'd have to worry about is slipping, maybe. But again, you're all pretty stout adventurers. This isn't like you're fighting it on a rocky incline or anything like that. This is the middle of the road, so you might have to worry about sinking your boot into a big, wet pothole type thing. It's like, "Oh, my toesies are cold." That type of thing. But nothing where you'd have to worry about your feet sliding out from underneath of you or something. The typical adventurer saying, "Our toesies are cold." Yes.
One thing we could do is we could all get ready to ambush/set a trap for it. One of my spells is Spike Growth, which places an area of disguised ground as spiky terrain. Then if we kite Claudius into it, he will get torn up pretty good. Does anyone else have any spells that are a good set of trap spells? Let me check. I don't think I do, but Jason, I don't think Mattie could see, but does it look like this bear is currently mauling someone? It probably just got done mauling someone. Right now, has it noticed us, and do we have time to talk amongst ourselves?
You're far enough away that it's not paying you any mind yet. How does Uble recognize that it's old Claudius? Does he have markings? Oh, yes. This bear looks like it's survived many scrapes. This bear would be wearing a fucking eye patch if it could. This is a badass bear. I'll defer to your expertise on nature and everything, Ubo, but if we could just walk around it, that would also be fine by me. Can we tell what would have been on the cart? Not from here. Anything spilled onto the road? Catching the little light that's maybe breaking through the clouds?
Here's the thing. You're looking at the bottom of the cart from where you are. The cart looks like it tipped to the side here. There is debris. There are things out in the road here, but some of this would be trampled. Some of this would be clothing and things like that. You'd have to get a little bit closer to see if there's something shiny, something valuable maybe? But with a wagon like that, there's always the chance that it was merchants, and if it's merchants, there are goods. The only thing I can do ahead of time technically, even if we've done it right, is the Truestrike where I can get a feel for some deeper stats on him.
It's AC. That would probably be helpful. There was a comment about maybe we don't have to fight this bear, and so Ubo kind of responds to that. We do not have to fight old Claudius. It would be a big battle. Dangerous, even. I think we can succeed, but if you choose to walk, we can continue to walk. What do you guys say? It's like Star Wars, and you need to find out. What's inside the bear? You said that in Masoka's voice, too. It's a show made up in my head. It's big in Brightport. Ubo's vote is for fight. I'm fine either way. If we could just shoo him away, I'd be fine too, but if this thing has been killing people on the road for years, we might as well.
Yeah, not gonna lie, this sounds like fun. I mean, walking in the rain more, which we're probably gonna have to do anyways, but... Ah man, that could be a really good fight, guys. Mattie's wringing out her hair. I don't care. Did you want something? Wait, so, Michael, can you do that true sight thingy that you mentioned? Yeah, it's within 30 feet, it's only one round, and I can grant the ability insight into the target's defenses. I also would gain an advantage on my first attack roll. Provided that one round hasn't ended. If we find out it's easy, it's like 30, then maybe we shouldn't.
Donovan's gonna look at Anvin and just look at the sky and go, "So, Sparky, do you think you could light him up? Start this big?" Do not shoot until I am prepared. Donovan's gonna nod. Do you guys want me to figure out his defenses or just go straight for an attack? Well, if we're out of combat, you could do both. Well, no, figuring out his defenses thing, that doesn't alert him to us, right? Okay, let's read that spell and make sure that there isn't anything in there that's like... It doesn't say the target is probed by a series of thermometers or something.
He's asked 20 questions. And for the chat's sake, you extend your hand and point a finger at a target in range, in this case the bear. Your magic grants you a brief insight into the target's defenses. On your next turn, you gain advantage on your first attack roll against the target, provided that the spell hasn't ended and the duration is one round. You also have to get 30 feet away from it. Yeah. Oh, how close are we right now? Not 30 feet away. You are... You're yards down the road, you're far enough away that you could... Sorry, your range increased, though?
Anvin with your feet? Oh, that's right, with my sniper I'm 60 feet. Wow, okay. Well, still. It's doubled. Yeah, that's not bad. Okay, I'm sorry. You want to get closer, is what I'm hearing. Do I? Do you? I mean, we just learned my wonderful 13. I mean, if we're going to attack, I figure we'll figure out his defenses, whether or not the attack hits or not. Now, the question is, and I look over to Donovan, as soon as I... If I light him up straight off, I'm pretty sure it means he's going to barrel towards me. Oh, don't worry, I'm not going to let him go past me.
Can't we just throw a rock past him? So he thinks something's on the other way. Just to confuse him, at least to start with. Whatever happens, Ubo wants to cast Spike Growth before the battle starts, so he can create a patch of painful terrain before it charges. Okay. Well, do you think, okay, last pitch, do you think Ubo, do you think you could try to make it, just use your knowledge of nature and beasts to make it non-ostyle to us coming closer, just enough, just long enough so that Amvin could get in range to do his magic? Well, he's not Aquaman. Can you roll animal handling, please?
Animal friendship spell. This spell lets you convince a beast that you mean it no harm, choose a beast you can see within range, range of 30 feet. Oh, it's a 30 foot range, I'd have to get within 30 feet to begin with. Well, let's just start walking. I feel like we should just light him up and if it hits, we'll know at least where to go with. Yeah, take the guaranteed surprise thing, I don't know. Because I assume whoever gets go gets a, you get a free shot and then you get, you get a surprise round for that person and then, and then we'd roll initiative and then see who dances with the bear first.
Yeah. I'd be walking towards them as soon as everything pops off so that I'm like first in line in range. And I'd actually want to pop my blur right before. So I guess it'd be, I guess I can only pick one maybe right then. I don't know. Yeah, I, yeah. What is the plan? I believe Anven wanted to get a little closer and cast a spell to sort of gain a bit more knowledge about the bear. Yeah, if we want. Well, I guess we were depending, we were thinking either we just stripe and see how it goes and not use a waste in action. But I know we wanted to wait for Ubo to cast his spell.
Yes. Can that, those spikes hurt us? Yes, I don't walk in them. Good call. We'll put a circle on the map and yeah. Okay. So, okay, we got someone walking between two tiles here, so I'm going to move Ahsoka back just a little bit. Anven's also straddling tiles. Oh, yep. I mean, I don't mean to be a snitch, but come on. No, that's fine. I want it all to be on the up and up. So Ubo's going to cast a spell first. So let's get those brambles up. Actually, we should be back a little further because it's a pretty massive radius that this covers. Okay. So let's, I would say scoot back, let the front line be hereish where Ubo is.
I just looked at my range like 150. Yeah. Because this is, okay, because it's a 20 foot radius. So that means I pick an intersection and it goes out four squares in every direction. Like it's, I don't know, let's draw a 20 foot radius, Jason. How do I ping a location for that to happen? If you, you can right click and use pointers. Okay. Right click and use pointers. I want my 20 foot radius centered pointers. Draw arrow, draw square. Oh, draw a circle. No, not there. Who just plopped that down? I did. Not there. Can I gain control of that to scoot it? I don't know.
Try. Okay. Well, okay. You could draw one too. Okay. What if I were to draw one and I were to draw it about, let's see. I always forget. That's huge. That's big. Oh, Claudia, man, he takes up a lot of space, doesn't he? He does. Okay. He's a big bear. Put it. Big old bear. Okay, pointers, circle. Then just drag it out and it'll look a bit bigger. Got it. 15, 20, 20 foot radius. Ah. This fight's already going so well. Oh, it's even green. I like it. Yeah. I didn't choose that, but sometimes things just work out. Yeah. Okay. So, draw the 20 foot radius centered on a point within range twists and sprouts hard spikes and thorns.
The area becomes difficult terrain for the duration. When a creature moves into or within the area, it takes 2D4 piercing damage for every five feet it travels. Okay. The transformation of the ground is camouflaged to look natural. Any creature, so, oh, okay. I wanted to pop this while he's not looking directly at it, because if he's not looking at it, then he has to make a perception check to, like, notice that it's changed. Okay. Was he behind the card? Let's see he's hovering around that. Let's say he's not looking directly at you guys yet. Okay. So, oh, that, except that's, I can still change this, right?
That's actually bigger than 20 feet somehow. That's a 20 foot radius? So you, you want a 10 foot, right? 10 foot radius, 20 foot diameter? This is, this should be, yeah, this is four squares in every direction. This is what it should be. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay. That's weird that it did the other thing. I don't know. I'm not sure where I'm going to try them. Yeah. Wild. Okay. So that's the rate, and so, yeah, if he, so if he wasn't looking, then when he comes, when he would be about to enter it, he has to make a perception check against my spell save DC, which is, I scrolled up here, and it's, so it's, yeah, he'll have to make a perception of 14 to notice that that's changed when he tries to barrel into it.
Because he takes 2D4 damage for every square that he moves through it. Okay, so let's, let's get ourselves together here real quick. So this is going to, this is going to sprout up. Here's what I'd like to do. I'd like to roll perception for old Claudius. I want to see if he picks up your scent. Let's see. He gains advantage on perception checks that rely on smell. Hmm. It's raining. Oh, wow. My, my, my. And he dropped a 15, so like, either way. Yeah, wouldn't it rain out a little? Not with a 24. Like, normally, yeah, but even if he, okay, even if I drop the advantage because it's raining, he still had a 15 and it's dead.
Yeah, so he rolled really well is the moral. The moral of the story. So he is going to pick up your scent and he is going to raise his head. And he is going to start to barrel toward you. Now, he has to roll a perception check to notice the ground is different. Yes, it is a visual perception check against a 14. So he does not get advantage on this because it doesn't rely on smell. However, he knows it. He knows it. Well, let's see. Does that prevent him from going through it, though? Oh, he can choose not to. Yeah, he could just be stubborn. He knows that there's danger there.
I mean, if he's just totally savaged out and he's just like, "I don't even care," he's going to take a lot of d4s of damage. Yeah. New strategy, though. We all run around the circle. Yeah. We could kind him. We could just kind him and do ranged attacks. Exactly. We're awful. I'm going to put him there. He's going to run but try to avoid this because it looks sharp and owies on his toesies. So he is going to try and avoid that. Let's everybody roll initiative. You guys are going to do a battle with old Claudius. Oh. Oh, yeah. Oh, goodness. Well. Oh, goodness. Oh. What?
Well, okay. Let's roll initiative. Okay, so he rolled a 14. Let's kick things off with Masoka. Good luck. Hey. Yeah. Yeah. Wow, what am I going to do? Okay. Okay. Masoka's slow but not that slow. So what is a range on a short bow? Oh, you're well within range, I believe, for a short bow. I think it's what, 40? A range 80. 80. 80? Well, you're good. Okay. Okay, I'm going to pull out my little, it's probably like a toy bow I stole from some kid. It's a Nerf bow. And, yeah. Okay, I'm going to target old Claudius and see what happens here. You got this. You don't got this.
Yeah, I think the bowline snaps. Just give that away. Don't, damn it. No, no, no. It wasn't a crit. It didn't snap. No. You know when you're aiming or you see the arrow kind of travels off your hand to the side? Yeah. And it just kind of drops at your feet? I think that's what happened. It's a toy bow. Yeah. Donovan's just going to say, all right, everybody back up. Just get behind me. Get behind a circle. Just like let me be in the middle. Oh, well, okay. Just making sure everyone got that. Yeah. Is that it for Mazoka? I don't want to be the first one to run away here, but I'm going to put a little bit distance between myself, the bear, and put these brambles in between us.
That's smart. I like it. Thank you. Good. That's called strategic advantage. That's what that is. Yeah. I'm not here today. Until this bear pulls out his crossbow. Pulls out one of his saber teeth and chucks it at me. Hey, Aster. Okay. I am trying to look up the rules. So, I guess the plan is we're just going all out on the bear. So, how does hiding work? Because I have the rogue thing with cunning action that I can take a hide as a bonus action plus the elf thing where I can actually hide and have enough raid and stuff and that gives me, I think, an advantage to attacking, but I don't know how that works.
You need cover. You need something to hide behind. Yeah, so you see like bushes and trees and stuff like that? Yeah. You need stuff like that. Like you'd need to be near it. Okay. So, but if I move then I could, but what advantage does that give me? Is the... Advantage. Oh, okay. It actually gives you advantage. Okay. So... If he doesn't beat your stealth. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I know you have to make a stealth pick. Okay. So, then what's my move speed? It's been so long since I played. Sorry. No, you're fine. I think it's... the speed is 35. Okay. Don't know. That's seven, right?
That's seven squares or something. Hold on. What is it? 35 you said? Yeah. Yeah, seven squares. I think I can go like there. Okay. And then I want to take... Yeah, use my cutting action to try and hide. Okay. So, do I just roll a stealth check? I believe so, yes. I think this is the first time you've tried it. Anybody's tried to hide. I thought I'd mix it up. Try and plus... You've got a bunch of ropes. Potential of advantage is pretty tasty, so... Right. Let's see. Oh, gorgeous. Let me see. I forget how this works. Do I have the right perception to spot that or is it just versus passive?
Passive. I think it's passive. Yeah? Let me check real quick. Unless he's actively looking for her. Right. And I think it's more just like let's run anybody down that's in the center here. Yeah. Wow. That's a good roll, though. Yeah. So, is that good then or... That's good. You're fine. I'm going to say you're fine. So, I hit the advantage thing, then I'm going to shoot with the longbow. That's right, correct? Yes, I didn't... I get advantage, right? Just double-check. We're flying by the seat of our pants here. I want to say yes. I got a roll right here. Yep. You... It's against the passive and if they have advantage, they get plus five to their passive.
Like, if they would have advantage on like seeing hidden stuff, say they have like a strong sand. I don't know. That's up to you, Jason. But yeah, it would be passive or passive plus five. I would say right now, I'd say if like, let's say everyone else is down and, you know, old Claudius wants to sniff around, we'll deal with that when it comes. If it comes. Right now, let's just worry about this attack. Cool. Let's go. Oh, gee. I dropped a 17. Nice. I think a 19 was almost a crit and will hit old Claudius. Okay. Let's get that tasty damage. Six damage. And yeah, that's it.
Sweet. Well, you actually you were hidden, so you would be able to do your sneak damage. Oh, right. That's right. I get that as well, which is just like a d6, right? Sneak attack. Da da da da da. One d6. Yep. Go for it. It's something. Two damage. All right. Sweet. Good. Okay. Uh, Maddie, you are up. How would Maddie be feeling, by the way? She's miserable. Well, it's just not a good day for her. What's the problem? It's raining. There's no sun. She's sticky. Her boots are like full of water. It's actually in her backstory. One of her cons is she really hates windy, rainy days.
Well, there you go. Yeah. So the better is just icing. The rain was the real like. Yes. Okay. So she's just let's get this over with. So she's going to run next to Masoka. Keep the brambles in between. I think she kind of trips over Astor too because Astor beat her passive perception. I like that. And then she's going to cast a Guiding Bolt on the bear. So she's going to grab her amulet and point at do some hand fancy hand movement and oops. Sorry. First one. Oh, so that's a 10. That's going to miss. And hair falls in her face as this bolt shoots out and she misses.
And she's like, oh, God. This day. Yeah. This day. Anything else? Yeah, actually. And then she's going to look next to her because she failed at that miserably. She can be like, okay, well, Masoka, stay safe and shield of faith. Nice. And this that's a very at least she could do that. And this glimmering shield appears around Masoka and he gets plus two AC. Nice. Oh, Claudius is up. I'm going to say he's going to move here. Thank you. So he went totally around the brambles. Pretty much. Yes. But I'm also going to say that's going to end his turn. And then your turn.
Hi, I'm going to go. How much is that? 30? No, 30. There we go. That's my speed. And I keep forgetting I could have been like super far away with my spell feat. So I am going to cast everyone went really quiet. So I thought I'd like dropped for so you're good. I was like, oh, all right. So I should be targeting him and I'm going to pull out my diamond and see if I can shoot him with chromatic orb. That's the lightning goes wide. No. Darn. And that will end my turn. Do you know what the good thing is? I feel like you guys got all your bad rolls out of the way. I'm just going to say this is reminding me of a legendary group B or group two fight a couple years ago.
You are up. OK. Am I so close that I provoke from him if I move away? No, no, he's not in reach yet. No, there's this red outline around him and I'm sure that's just ignore that and focus on the token. Gotcha. OK, so I while we while the turns are going around, I figure out the bad news, which is all my coolest spells require concentration. So none of them can be going on at the same time. So I am ending the thorns because they're not doing much anyway. Minimize close. How do I how do I kill it? Right click the center of it. The pointers. There you go. Got it.
OK, so that one's going away so that I can cast fairy fire on him. I feel naked. Yeah. Well, yeah. Don't worry. This will be good, though, because if it hits, he all attack rolls against him will have advantage for an hour. Oh, no. I need this to hit. Bears have bad decks saved, so let's find out. OK. Oh, you are shitting me. He's rolling so low. OK, so that burns my first levels. I'm going to try that again next round, because that's just too important. Oh, yeah. Really? It's a success. I thought you got that. I'm guessing. No, that's the bear saving. Yeah. Yeah. He's a winner.
He's a winner. So I'm going to you know what? I need to unfortunately I'd hold the line with Donovan, but I need to actually be not provoking to keep casting this spell on him. So I'm going to go. Oh, just. There is behind me, a big brute. It's all part of the plan that concludes the most. Golly. Hey, Donovan. Hey, Donovan, will say. All right, team, it's time to wake up. I'm going to draw one of his hand axes, chuck it at old Claudius. Hand axe thrown. Let's do it. Oh, we'll hit. OK, I'm awake. Good. I will also use a goading attack when I hit a creature with a weapon attack.
I can expand one superiority die to goad him into attacking me. He needs to roll a wisdom saving throw against 15. And if he fails, he has his advantage on any attack he does against anyone other than me. So he beats it. I still get to do damage and add my superiority die damage. So let's do it. So that's the normal damage. And superiority die is the eight. This one. Boom. There we go. Beautiful. And I will send my ground. All right. You ready? Oh, that's fine. Oh, yeah. Sorry, I just. Oh, no, that's fine. That's totally fine. I want to make sure that all the damage that is getting done to this bear gets gets done.
Just. OK, that brings us back to Masoka. OK, so he's going to feel empowered by this buff that Maddie gave him. He's going to take a step forward and he's going to throw his head back and his hair is going to whip back and tie it back. You know, with some string or whatever, you get a high glance at her and then he's going to grab an arrow out of his quiver. You can look at his bow and he's going to say, you are a fine bow. And he's going to draw back and he's going to try to launch another arrow. I'm feeling a crit. I'm feeling a crit. Decapitated. Oh, that will hit, though.
Delivers. And he's going to say yes, because he can't believe that it actually happened. And let's roll some damage. Let's roll some damage. That's six. That's six damage to old Claudius. That's good, because if I miss, he's going to break that bowl over his knee. I'd say this slams into his rump, like just the back flank somewhere. Yes. All right. I'm good. I'm good. OK. Astor, you are up. OK, so I think my plan is pretty much do the same thing as I did last time, probably. So first of all, kind of. So when I attack, that breaks high and I look that up. And so after that, I think we're going to probably then run over around another tree and also get away from all you noisy people.
Attracting attention is very rude. And again, I guess we all smell. Am I am I allowed to do a second attempt at that? Like at hiding? Yeah. Yeah, I guess. Yeah. I don't see why. Why not? Yeah. Hey, OK, I'm going to get advantage again and fire off another. Oh, there it is. That is the second crit of today, but it doesn't. You don't get to roll on the on the table, but I'll still a crit. But I do. It doesn't. Do we double sneak attack in fifth edition? Me thinks maybe. I don't know what you're saying. Doubling the sneak attack as well. Let me find this or someone that has access to chat will ping us.
Because chat knows. OK, that is 11 damage to old Claudius and plus at least one d6. That's six. Take that. OK, Max, I want to say yes, but I don't know for sure. Let me find critical. See me critical. Either way, that was awesome. Yes. Fucking great. Yes. OK, for example, if you score a critical hit with a dagger, you roll 2D for the damage rather than one before and then add the red, your relevant ability modifier. If the attack involves other damage dice, such as a rogue sneak attack, you roll these dice twice as well. Nice. All right. OK, number two. That's good.
Take that. Beautiful. All right. I'm still chuckling to myself about you are a fine bow. I just now my idea of Masocha is like he wants to be the witcher. Yeah, that's pretty much sums it up. Good golly. Is that all for Astor? Yeah, that's a damn fine turn. Mattie, you are up. It's redemption time after because she's standing right next to Miss Soka. So she heard all that. So she's going to give him like a half smile and say, keep it up, pretty boy. And then one, two, three, four, five, six. And she's going to be like, I'm going to try flanking it as she runs over there.
And then she's going to try again. But this time, second level guiding bolt. Hopefully it hits because that would be awesome. I believe in you. Yes. OK. How do I change that to second level? I'll just roll the additional d6. Yeah. Goodness. And the next attack against it gets advantage. Wow. Oof. So as she's running over, she grabs her amulet around her neck and like does a fancy hand movement again and then like shoots out this like glimmering sphere and hits it and like like encases it in a like a shimmering sphere. Good lord. Anything else? No. That's it. All right.
It's old Claudius's turn. Claudius is going to close the gap between himself and Donovan. Claudius is going to do two things. He is going to stand up and swipe down at Donovan. So let's deal with that first. Are you ready? Oh, yeah. OK. He is going to target Donovan and use claws. Holy shit. OK. He doesn't roll the table. Oh, thank god. I'm having flashback of this secret Patreon game. No. He doesn't roll the table. It's fine. I'm going to use this shit. Are the listeners familiar with this table yet? The table is OK. Rumors of this table are very exaggerated. Let me let me break down.
Hold on. Let's take a step back. You guys, this table is going to kill people. It is not going to kill people. I think it's actually less lethal now. This table is going to end some stories is what I'm saying. It is way less lethal than it used to be. Let me give you a math breakdown of what happened in that in that Patreon game. The instant decapitation was at a 13, which means what happened happened. Someone rolled a 20. Then they rolled a three or greater on the D6. Then they rolled a 13. Those odds are far greater than someone rolling a 20 twice. Are they?
Yes. OK. Doing a math breakdown. OK. OK. Oh, cool. Sure. What does the bear do, though? Oh, the bear does... 21 damage to... Then he is going to try and bite Donovan. Sure. Great. What did Donovan do to him? He's going to miss. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. He missed. Then I'm going to use Riposte, motherfucker. I think that's the first time you've called me a motherfucker. I'm talking to the bear. Oh, OK. That's fine. Yeah, yeah. You're my best friend. I can use a reaction and expand a superiority die to make a melee attack. If I hit, I add the roll to damage. Let's see. Well, I don't think I said that I drew another weapon after my last turn, though.
I'm going to give it to you. Go ahead. Whoa. He's going to get swiped across the shoulder, on the opposite shoulder of his shield, and then he's going to recoil from that and then just bring the Warpick up at the bear's face. And that's Warpick. 16 will hit. Oh, OK. Then I will do the damage and add a d8. Ooh. 18 damage to the bear. All right. And I'm going to scream in succession of pain and then anger and then victory. Three different screams. Three distinct different screams. Yes. Oh, my God. Wow, that is really good. When you attacked, did you take into account the advantage from the Guiding Bolt?
I did not. So it... Oh, well, maybe I could see if I had a crit real quick. Would you allow that? Does the next attack after Guiding Bolt have to use it? The next attack roll made against this target before the end of your next turn has advantage. Gotcha. Let's just see if it would have been a crit. Nope. Let's move on. Cool. OK. So that'll end old Claudius's turn and bring up Enven. Here, I was hoping the advantage was going to be for me, but it's OK. Sorry. I'm going to move. How are you going to die if you have advantage? Come on. I don't have advantage. Where'd you go?
I'm 40 feet away now. You're off my map. I had to zoom out to find him. Well, the best part about being a sniper is I can be super far away. Two kilometers away, take the shot. Well, this spell that I'm going to do again, the Chromatic Orb, has a range of 90 feet normally, so I could technically do it at 180 feet. Good God. Let's try this again. Try out the lightning. Oh, I guess it did it anyway. Dun, dun, dun. Yes, yes, yes. That is a crit. We were on the crit table. That only is a crit. He dropped a one to keep a 20. Holy crap. Congratulations. Strike now. Any enemies, oh well, any allies adjacent to you get advantage on attacks against your target until the end of your next turn.
Don't worry. Where was the advantage? I'll be joining you soon, Anthony. Don't worry. I don't think I should have gotten the advantage because it was... Oh yeah, that's the advantage. Or from the guy... Yeah, because my roll kind of like was weird, right? My hit, it like didn't... Oh, I didn't target the bear before. That's why. Well, you would actually... Still sticking around. Yeah. But he rolled the 21st. First? No, he dropped the one to get it. But here's the thing. With the new advantage system, you are technically... You're adjacent to the bear, which means the bear is dealing with you and has to divide its attention between attacking you and taking damage from Andan.
You apply it to range as well. Yep. You're the best. See? I'm not all bad. All right. He's the best until the enemies are using this tactic. Yeah, well. Why are you so negative, sir? I'm just... I'm a realist. I feel like Jason's constantly trying to sell himself to us. Like, come on, guys. I am too. You be my friend. It's been six years. I just want friends. That's all. So I pull out my diamond and Sparking Lightning, and I see a shot and... Holy shit! Oh, no. I'm just focusing a big blast of lightning just shocks right into him. That's a Kamehameha wave, dude. That is...
Did he get to roll on the table as well? What? Oh, he did. He already did. It was sadly... Oh. It was a thing that would have given... Like, it was more for an upfront fighter type of thing. What was it, though? Any allies adjacent to you get advantage on attacks against your target until the end of your next turn. Okay. But no one's... That's what I knew. So, let's see something. Man, that was a good hit. All right, there we go. That was my turn. You're welcome. Sparky! Uvo? Okay. You guys are just churning through this guy's hit points pretty well, so I'm not going to bother burning Faerie Fire, just trying to tag him this late in the battle.
Let's just do Produce Flame, because I think we're doing fine. So, a little of that. And a miss. And a walk away. You would have advantage, though, because I'm still in melee. Yeah. Oh, okay. Well, then I'm going to have to make sure I trigger that. Should I just throw the attack again, Jason? Yeah, just throw the attack again. You're fine. Okay. Hey, missed that. Hey, that'll hit. Okay. And damage. Max damage. Max damage! Very nice. This concludes my turn. All right, see? There you go. You're doing great. Donovan. All right. Well, seeing all his teammates doing so well is giving him quite a lot of motivation to keep going, so he's going to use the healing surge thing.
How do I call that? Second wind. Yeah, so that's 1d10 plus 4 that I will roll right now. Excellent. So, that will be 5 plus 4. I should have done a 4, so 9 hit points regained, please. Get on it. And I will use my action shard. Your action shard? Action shards. Oh, no. Action shards? I don't want some. Get away. And I will attack him. Okay. Again. Yeah. So, let's select him this time. No advantage for me. Okay. And War Big. Let's do it. Masoko, what's your move speed? Because you might be able to get up next to Ambin and take advantage of that advantage as well. Well, that, I'm sorry.
That would have been at the time of the crit. Right. Okay. Yeah. So, it's gone now. Yeah, it's gone. But I thought you said till the end of his next turn. Anybody who was standing next to him at the time would have got it till the end of the next turn. Oh, oh, oh, okay. Gotcha. I can word that better just to make sure that there's no confusion. Yeah, that's what I thought you meant like anyone. I'm sorry. That's totally my fault. Is it a turn to take out my daggers? No. No? Okay. Is this bear still standing? Yes. Okay. Oh, God. Here's what I want to do. Oh, no. Oh, here it comes.
Because he's so full of confidence now. I want to... Oh, shit. ...charge up to the bear. Oh, my God. Plant a foot on the bear's knee. What? And get up onto his back. Oh, God. And then slam my daggers down into the side of his neck. I got a Monster Hunter this. Oh, yeah. Oh, boy. And I want to see if that works. Okay. Here's what I'm going to do for you. Does my second story work help me out? Your second story work? Yeah. I can climb faster than normal. Does that mean I can do it? You can climb bears faster than normal? Well, it's climbing. Well, technically. Okay. Here's what I'm going to do.
Two story. Okay. Two story work. How many furry angry walls have you climbed? To date? Okay. Here's what I'm going to do. I'm going to let you attempt an acrobatics check. Now, if you pass, I'm going to give you advantage on the attack that you're going to do. You'd already get that because, you know, because Donovan's standing there. But I am also going to give you a D6 extra damage. Ooh. However, if you fail, you are not only going to not climb on the back of this bear, you are going to run headlong into this bear and be splayed out before him. Okay. Yeah. It's, uh, I got to go with it.
Okay. Athletics check. You're shooting for a 14 or higher. Sorry, athletics or acrobatics? Acrobatics. I'm sorry. Acrobatics. Okay. Here we go. Yes. Fucking wow. Yes. You asshole. Oh my god. We're on a show. Okay. So, you are going to run up to old Claudius. Plant a foot onto Claudius's knee, probably as he's like hunching down, getting ready to swipe at Donovan, something like that. You are going to springboard into the air. Land on Claudius's back and try and drive your daggers into his spine here. Yes. Go ahead and roll an attack with advantage. Okay. Am I rolling for both daggers or just one?
Let's just do your regular attack right now and you're probably going to follow up with your regular sneak attack thing anyway, right? Okay. So, regular little sneak attack. That is going to hit. Yes. Okay. You want damage on that? I do want damage on that, please. Okay. But that's with an additional 26, so go ahead. You look really cool. But I mean, you can't add your sneak attack damage. Yes. I thought my other dagger was my sneak attack. No, it's just a bonus attack. Like you did damage with a flanking, like a teammate, so you can add, apply sneak attack damage.
Okay. That's just a d6. No, it's 2d6 at your level. At your level, yeah. It should be 2d6. Oh boy. Nice. Doubles. I get something for doubles, right? And monopoly. Yeah. Here's what's going to happen. Masoka is going to springboard on top of the bear, kind of flip over, land kind of like you're riding, Oh, Claudius sink your dagger into his spine and drag it down. Oh, Claudius is going to fall in front of Donovan dead. Yeah, he did it. Beautiful bastard. The local immediately look at Ubo. Well, now what? I wasn't sure what was expected of me. It was okay. Looking at Ubo like, did I do good boss?
Like that type of like, yeah. Oh, Oh, yeah. Ubo just grunts and nods at you. Wow. Let's say we take a break for a moment. Grab a drink at the bathroom. I can't believe that went so well. That went incredibly. I feel like you guys were like Hulk Hogan-ing off the crowd, like feeding off the energy of a live audience. Pretty great. You're welcome everybody. Oh man. I will say that Anvin is exhausted after that attack. Yeah. Yeah, I bet. Good God. Now we got to like turn this bear in for some where. Well, we're on our way in between the town, right? Like we're next to Aubrey.
Well, like days away. We don't need to take the whole bear. Yeah. What if we fix the wagon and then put the bear in the wagon? We got to look at that. Because we could make some like, we could get like Masoka like a bear skin cape or something. I'm going to be all decked out in furs now. Yeah, Ubo, do you want another head to put in your back? It was probably a bit too big for Masoka's head. When you say that to Ubo, he kind of looks down and he's like, I didn't finish the first stuff in time. I should not keep a carcass that long. All right, well time to start fresh then.
Just saying, we could turn it into rug and probably sell that for a nice penny. Yeah. Oh, I need proof of payment, right? For old Claudius. Yeah, proof of kill. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, that could get you some free drinks somewhere probably. Yeah. So, I guess we should like at least take a look in the cart. Let's see what's up with it. Let's do that. Before we get to the bear, we'll discuss the bear in a moment. Okay. In this cart, sadly, you are going to find the remains to be a tiefling man. It was Malchus in his cart. It was Malchus. That was the big twist. That's how you send him out.
Yes. In a cheap-ass cart. I know it's a bit too much of a yield label, but this is cold. He died to a crit table. No, yeah. What's the poetic justice? By his malice, not on the list. Nope. He rolled a 21. No, it looks like an older tiefling guy. The remains of one anyway. There's a dead horse, and there's a bunch of boxes and crates and stuff back here. I'm guessing that the party doesn't have any problem in going through these things. Nah, they're dead. If anything, we'll see where we're headed and see if we can give closure somewhere. He wouldn't be a resident of Winterhaven that I would ever even know.
He'd come from Winterhaven or anything. No, no, no. Actually, it looks like he might have been moving. Aww. A lot of personal effects here. A lot of clothing. You know, that type of thing. Journal entries. Just like, "Oh, on the road, heading west. Can't wait to get to that type of thing." Hashtag blessed. Hashtag blessed. Do we get a name out of the journal entries? You're not going to see a name, because it's kind of weird for someone to sign their own name in their own journal. Yeah, I guess. Like sending a letter to the next of kin or something. But yeah, no, that makes sense.
No, no letters. It doesn't look like... You will find a decent stash of gold, however... Ooh, that's tasty. It looks like maybe a life savings for an individual. Okay, I would say going through these personal effects, all signs point to, "I'm going to move to the big city, and I'm going to plant my flag." And it just didn't work out. Maybe someone in Aubrey met him when he was passing through or something. Yeah, can we tell which way he was headed to Winterhaven? It looked like he was heading to Winterhaven. Yeah. Well, they're all going through his stuff.
Mattie's going to be performing Last Rites. Aww. Okay. Well, at least we got vengeance for him, kind of. You're going to find 120 gold. The rest of this is pretty much... You're going to find some silverware and some stuff like that. Stuff you could probably pawn off for a few gold here and there, but nothing. It didn't look like this guy was exactly rolling in it. It didn't really have fine clothes or weapons or anything like that. So not a merchant, but... Magical heirloom? Doesn't look like it. Again, 120 gold, though. So he shouldn't have been traveling alone, basically, is what you're saying.
I'm guessing he just thought it would be fine. You're saying he had it coming. Is that what you're saying? Is he new? I didn't say... No. I'm saying he probably took, "Oh, it'll be fine." Like he could have been coming from maybe Aubrey or Durn Hollow, something like that. Probably wasn't making a crazy long trek. I guess there are people who do that. Is the cart functional enough to, say, move a 7,000-pound bear? Well, let's see. I want one of you to roll a d10. The higher the number, the better the shape the cart's going to be in. Everyone gets mad at me when I roll, so I'm not doing it.
Yeah, Rob's not going to roll. You know what? I can do it. Okay, let's do it. Well, you can get mad at me. It's fine. No! No one's going to get mad at anyone. It's not. Maybe it's repairable. It's pretty smashed up. This is pretty good. I have a crowbar. We're going to fix this half-life style, which is... Yeah, this is pretty beat up. Plus, there's a dead horse, so there's nothing to pull the wagon. It's a problem. Yeah, I guess Ubo's boar form probably isn't strong enough. Now, let's rewind here. About this 7,000-pound bear, what are you going to do with them? Turn it in at Aubrey, right?
Or at least cut off the head, maybe. And then, like, hey. Aubrey is... Yeah, which way are we closer to at this point? Oh, you're much closer to Winterhaven. Like, how close to Winterhaven? I'm trying to get... So if we all pitched in and dragged this bear corpse back to Winterhaven, would that be feasible? How much would that cost us, time-wise? We were traveling for six hours, weren't we? Yeah, about six, seven hours. Yeah, I feel like the smart thing to do is just take the head and keep walking. I feel like, you know, three and a half tons is just too much to drag.
Yes. I'm not... Absolutely is. I was about to say, I'm not keeping track of encumbrance for the most part, but that is over-encumbered, I would say. Yeah, we could take the head and walk for six days with it, or go back to Winterhaven. What percentage of the bear's weight is in the head? Well, golly, let's do math. For some reason I feel like this is Kelsey math, but... I mean, it's... I'm gonna say, like... You should be able to... I mean, it's probably gonna be a bit, like, awkward to carry, but you should be able to definitely carry it. Well, I imagine it would be hundreds of pounds, right?
Yeah, it's... So I mean, most of bears, like, their heads are relatively small compared to their bodies, especially when you get up to the bigger ones, so... The thing is, even 5% is like a 350-pound head. Yeah, it's, I mean... I don't know. Which, I mean, you could tag team. Okay, let's skin the bear. Okay. Yeah, what role would that be? I think, like, druid thing? I want to say that's survival? Yeah, that's survival. Yeah. I would rule it. Yeah. Yeah, 'cause he's recognizable by his fur, right? That's how we got him. Yes. I have a +6. Okay. So unless you beef this hard, I would imagine you're taking your time.
Like, you're not necessarily, I mean, you're not necessarily in a hurry, let's say. Okay. But, yeah, you're taking your time on this, so unless you totally whiff this, you'll do a pretty decent job skinning. I would imagine it's a pretty common thing to skin animals. Yeah. Specifically for a druid. Right. You know what? It is, we've been traveling the whole day, so it's like almost the end of the day, right? Yeah. Which means I'm about to sleep and get my spells back. Okay. Okay, so I'm gonna use Enhance Ability and get advantage on Wisdom checks to do the Survival check so that we do a real great head skin in time here, or bear skin in time.
Right. All right. So I'm gonna, let's see, so I should just get on the map here and target myself. Okay. And then I should click the Wisdom one. And as I hover over each of these, one of them will say Wisdom. There we go. Done. And then presumably when I throw this Survival check, it will apply. Boom. Hey. Nice. Good table. Wow, you dropped a 15 to keep a 19. Yeah. Oh, that's some good skinning. No part of the bear goes to waste. Ubo, it's like we cut to a documentary of Ubo living the old druid ways. Man, not only do you skin this bear, you get it all in one peel like an orange.
Would you say he has skinned it so well that it wouldn't leave like a scent trail as we're walking with this thing? I skinned it so well that I skinned its soul with it. I mean, we're talking about scent. Like we should definitely take some of this meat for the trip. Oh, specifically, if you guys are making camp anyway, you're eating bear tonight, right? Let's cook this thing up. It's just like in the Oregon Trail when you kill too much to carry it. So it's like, you got 600 pounds of buffalo meat. Let that go to waste. Yep. Pretty much. Well, the other animal's a week well tonight too.
So do we keep moving or are we going to set up camp here? We've only been walking for like six, seven, eight hours. So it's like half a day. So it's still a day, right? Here's the thing. It's going to take time to skin this. Okay, cool. So I'd say by the time you're done, it's probably time to sleep for the night. All right. So yeah, dude. So okay, is the aim also to take the head? Well, are you trying to get it like a bearskin rug type thing? Like you're taking the whole, you take the skull too, right? Yeah, so like the head and like the car stuff all in there.
I figure Ubo is just like sitting here and he's like in the druid zone being like, all right, everybody call what parts you want. You know, like he's just like, I can chop this off. It's like disassembling like a gun, like you put every piece in, like well organized. He's field stripping the bear. That's what's happening. I'll take the gold letter. I'll put it back together. He would walk right down that road. I'm the vacuum. That's what I wanted to call it. I don't want anything. But yeah, I guess a skull is a good idea just because it's going to be light and carryable and like give that as a proof or whatever and then sell the skin.
I don't know. Just try to think. So like the hide itself is probably going to weigh a lot. But yeah, I think it's. Well, we can carry that, I'm sure. Yeah, it's carryable, but it's like. Unpleasant. Yeah, I would imagine this is like carrying a really big blanket, like you're just folding it up and trying to like, you know, but yeah. Gross. So, yeah. What we can do. So if we want to like make sure, like, like, like get like the meat off the back of the hide, then we rub its brain on the on the skin part and that helps preserve it. So, oh, is that a fact? Yeah, that's what like we used to do, like deer hides and stuff like.
Wow. Excellent. Excellent. I know this. Real life advice. Yeah. Wow. What was the original weight of the bear? Christ. Seven thousand. Are you doing math? People are like. I have the chat open and people are doing, people are like fact checking you. Oh, yeah. There is ten feet and fifty pounds. There's only eleven feet and seven thousand pounds. Jason, he's very dense. It's a fantasy. Everyone is covered in adamantium. Do I have to defend fantasy bears? Yes. I feel like we've done everything we could bear wise at this point. You watch, you watch, you tell these people that that bear is just super dense and somebody will come up with how much gravity that bear would have and how it would have an effect on this game.
Take it. It would be about one thousand pounds, according to the plan. Alright, Donovan goes, goes to sleep. Donovan is asleep. The only thing I could find on the head percentage is like 14 percent. Looks like a Kodiak bear. And so looks like nine hundred and eighty pounds. Yeah, thousand pounds and pounds. But that's not taking into account the density and all that stuff. Tell me. All the weight was in the dick. He was a. All the stuff that fits in our backpack. I think you're right. Look, if it makes you feel any better, he's old Claudius the twerking bear.
He was all bottom heavy. It's fine. Like a Chinese dragon. Like, so like. Yes. Is your the hairs were hollow to preserve. Thus making them very light. Donovan, is it they closer to Aubrey? Oh, my God. OK. This is why I said minimize the chance. OK, backing up. So the bear's been properly dismantled. Everything's fine. You're all carrying equal portions of the bear. You're all very strong. So, getting sleep for the night and taking a break here. Is there anything you would like to do before we fast forward time to the seventh of very your divvy up the gold? OK, that makes sense.
Twenty just because we're going to forget. Yeah, that's what we will. We're doing that ourselves. Yeah, I trust you guys. That's you're splitting it equally, right? Here we go. OK, so adding 20 to your coin pouches. And I don't know, I like maybe I would have tried to like, with the help of Maddy, like move the cart on the side of the road, move the horse, like in the ditch or like by the road, just to clear it up and like neatly organize the belongings that we're not taking and just like leave that for the taking. That's nice of you. Yeah. Oh, and while we're doing that, Maddy would actually want to talk to Donovan.
Sure. Yeah, as they're like heavy lifting. So, Donovan, my mace really isn't that effective. I'm noticing. Oh, you're being too hard on yourself. Well, I could do more. And you have what, 10 weapons on you right now? I stopped counting. Could you possibly teach me? I don't know. I was thinking of Warhammer. How to use one. Really? Sure. Do you have any on you? I'm short on Warhammer's. Well, no, but. Well, step one in the lessons of fighting gets you a weapon. Makes sense. But I, yeah, I'll make sure to teach you. I'll give you private lessons. I'm all about that. There's a guy who taught me how to fight and you left a pretty big impression.
I think I can give you some of his wisdom. Okay. Yeah, I'll pick one up in Aubrey and then along the road, maybe at the evenings, you could teach me how to use it. Oh, for good reason. I'm moving. You know, I'm really looking forward to it. Thanks, Donovan. You're welcome. And then she goes back to being miserable. Well, good news is it stopped raining. Okay, then she's not miserable. Oh, good. Is it windy though? It gets a little windy. Oh, she's miserable. Let me just, I feel like we glazed over the accomplishment getting into the weight of things. You guys killed a legendary, like a folk bear.
Like that's a pretty big deal. How would you be feeling about that, like kind of settling down for the evening? Like what would kind of be going through your heads? I mean, Ubo's proud, but he also like, he felt like we can do it. He felt like it was in our, you know, there were six of us. We had it. Yeah, and Vin's exhausted. I think Mazoka's sort of like, if there's a fire or whatever, he's probably sort of like dancing by himself around it, like flipping his daggers in his hands. Like, oh yeah, yeah, yeah. But I think he would take a moment to go sit with Matty for a second.
Just to say, you know that spell you did for me? I couldn't have killed that bear without you. That was all you. So Matty's like, she's like trying to dry out her clothes at this point because she hates it. So like she has her shoes like upside down, having the water drip out of them and like is wringing out her hair. And like, so when you sit down next to her, she's going to pull her hair out of her face and be like, and say to him, no, I just gave you a little protection against him. That was all you. You don't think I would have done that if you hadn't done what you did?
I mean, yeah, that thing was big. I've seen you decapitate a wolf before. That was nothing. Well, I'd be lying if I didn't say, you know, thought about that. You know, I wouldn't have done that without you. I'm just saying. So thank you. Matty's going to smile. I think you could have done it regardless of me, but I'll take credit, I guess. And then she's going to laugh. Now that it's not raining, can I take out the notes and do any research on that? For the portal thing? Sure. Oh, it's a shame we just left Winterhaven. Yeah, here's the thing. I would say that you've almost exhausted the amount of knowledge you are going to get from this on your own, without like cross-referencing some notes or looking up some things.
So I'm going to let you do it one more time, but it might be a thing where you're going to have to wait till you get to a library of some sort. Couldn't ask for more. So is it just d20 or what? Or am I just doing it right? What are you specifically trying to... are you just trying to wring everything out of the notes that you grab that you can? Are you trying to look up something specifically about this portal, this gate? What exactly are you trying to grab from this? Mainly references of other places, because I guess since I know I'm running out of information, like hints or notes of where I could possibly go to either prove or get additional information on based on any references in there.
Yeah, do me a favor. Roll a flat d20. Okay. Oh snap. Wow! That doesn't count. Well, congratulations, sir. Wow. Did I say you almost? I meant you're just beginning. So I would say you're pretty much pouring through the very least you've skimmed over everything that you've grabbed. Right. And at this point, resources are starting to get a little slim and there are some things that you'd need to cross-reference or really dig into. But there are a few things that you're going to find out about this gate. Obviously, this is not the only gate out there like it. You know of at least one other in Onakol.
You know that this gate has been used before and it has delivered people to a place that does not have a gate. So these things might be able to be used not just to deliver somebody to where there is another gate, but maybe specific points all over the globe. They have dropped someone off outside of Esterhold before. You know that for a fact. Multiple people have gone through them. Once it's powered up, it stays powered up for a few moments. So as many people as you can fit through in that amount of time, people have gone through without incident. And it goes into deep specifics about what it looks like when it's fully powered versus what it looks like when it's at half power or something like that.
It also goes into horrific accounts about what happens if someone tries to step through and it's at half power. People's skin has been teleported away, but the rest of their body falls out the other side. Horrific things like that. Awesome. Yeah, I'd say that's what you're going to get from the rest of these notes. It's actually a perfect way to end up like, oh, I'm so tired. And then I guess it all comes locked in like, oh, awesome. That's a pretty damn good way to fall asleep if you're... It's been a big day. Good lord. So you guys are getting some sleep?
Yes, yes, yes, yes. Taking turns and stuff. I always assume that. Yeah. So we're using the Therian rest rules, right? So if we rest outside, we've got the number of levels we have in HDs. OK, cool. Well, let me start using some. Oh, before we go to bed, I'll use a healing word on you then. Just because I'm going to get it back tomorrow. Sure. OK. Let's do that. Beautiful. All right. Looking good. And now we got it back. You want another one? Well, if you've got tons of spells, you're just going to get back. Let's do that first. We have hit dice to burn. How do those come back?
Oh, they come back after resting too. There's... Good lord. You know that folder that was linked to you guys in the basement? Yes. It goes into all that stuff specifically. Yeah. But you guys didn't even really burn hit die or anything like that, so it's not like that's going to be a huge deal for you at all. Well, I gave Donovan two healing words since I had three open slots. Yeah. So you're good. I don't want to be like... Yeah, no, I'll heal the rest myself. I'm a big man. Do you want me to use my last... Here, just for funsies. OK. I have another one. Why not?
I'm full health. Thank you. See, it's your fault for having so many hit points. For being so damn hardy. You've given me all these heals. I wonder what I just keep saying to you. Buck up, buck up, buck up, link. Just over and over again. Oh, golly. So, waking up on the seventh of Ferior. Let's advance time here. You're a little more than three and a half days. You're about three and a half days outside of Aubrey. So, you have skinned a bear. You have... That is a pretty damn good start to your journey. The weather's looking pretty nice. Do you want to hit the road or is there anything you guys want to do before you get going?
Can I roll a d20? Just kidding. Well, now you're going to have to. I'm good to go. Same. Beautiful. Today is going to be a pretty darn good day. Sun is shining. Birds are chirping. It appears that luck is on your side. And the third... Thank the monitor. There you go. And you're going to, every once in a while, a passerby will nod and tip a cat to you. That type of thing as you go on your separate ways. And unless you guys want to do anything, I am going to say that's all you do that day is just travel. Nice. Okay. Cool. Alright. Bedding down. Oh, go ahead. It looks like the sleep overnight thing hasn't been applied to me yet.
I've done my spell slots back. Oh, yeah. Hold on. Boom. That's the ticket. There you go. No problem. So, bedding down for the night. Is there anything you guys want to do before we go to sleep? How far are we now? Two days away? You are two and a half days away from Aubrey. Okay. Seeing that Maddie's been in a better mood today, we'll approach Maddie and Hey, we're getting pretty close to Aubrey. Yeah. I was there less than a year ago, but it's been what? Eight years for you? Yeah. It's been quite a while. Don't know how much of it's changed since I left. Actually a lot.
Not structurally, but no more vampire attacks. Oh, really? Yeah. Actually, two vampires live in town. Oh. Huh. Yeah. Can we all hear the conversation? Yeah. Jason, what were their names again? Because Maddie, in her back, she helped get them acclimated. Actually, there are three vampires. Three. Okay. What were their names again? Three vampires. So, God. Thallin, that's the male drow. Okay. Selena, which is a female half-elf. And Jonathan, a male half-elf. Where were they? You told me there were three vampires that are in town now as residents? I know. It sounds crazy.
But yeah. A few years ago, some adventurers came through and helped stop the vampire attacks, but then these three showed up looking for refuge. So, we offered it. After. After a huge battle, but yeah. I'm sorry. The monsters from the stories? Yeah. There's a fam... Like, just Jason, how common are vampires? Probably not super duper, right? Oh, no, no. Not super duper common. Yeah. Okay. So, I'll just play it like that. I mean, they're afflicted with a curse. It's nothing... Well, at least they didn't ask for it. I don't think. No, they didn't. That's okay, sir. But then don't they go in your rooms at night and eat your babies?
Yeah, like, what do these guys' things eat? Well, I imagine it would still be what... Well, you know, that's a good question. What are they living on now? It's still blood, but they don't take it from people. We give it to them. Like your own blood or like animals and stuff? Jason, I can't remember. Mostly animals. And to be fair, these particular vampires were living off of animals at the time of their... You know what I mean? Yeah. Yes. Okay. They drink animal blood and they were doing it before too. They weren't attacking people. Oh. So this wasn't part of the group that would come to town and raid and take people away?
No. That was some big, bad vampire group that those adventurers took care of. Wow. That's good. They sound like fun people to hang out with. Yeah. They're good people. All right. Well, maybe I'm going to meet me a vampire. Vampire! Yeah. I'm glad. Actually, I'm glad I brought it up. I didn't even think about it, but that's probably something you should warn people about, isn't it? Yeah. I mean, they don't sound that much different from us, really. I mean, we all eat animals and stuff too. It's good that you guys took them in, even though you've been attacked by vampires before.
Yeah. It was a good change. And they just wanted help. So, you know, Temple of Amata-tor and all that. We offer it. It'll be good to see Clarissa again. Yeah. Yeah. They're trying to give her more work, but she's probably still in the library, to be honest. Sounds like a good place to me. I mean, that's where I grew up. That's where I was hanging out with her. I mean, that's where we first met. Yeah. It's good that she's moving up. Still able to stay in her comfort zone. Yeah. Well, it's going to be good to see home again. Yeah. It'd be good to pay some respects. Yeah.
Did you want company when you go? Yeah. That'd be nice. I would always lay a flower on her grave for you every year. I appreciate that. She would be so proud of you. Did you see? I saw that lightning bolt. Yeah. Never actually focused that much power in one attack before. It was draining. But you went out and did everything that you wanted to. You went to Manero, learned how to become a wizard. She would be so proud. She was the only one at the time. I mean, you were there too, and you believed in me. But everyone else never actually thought I could make it. Well, I'm glad we get to see her.
I'm glad you get to see her after all this time. Yeah. That'd be good. Then she's going to grab his hand and squeeze it. In a comforting gesture. Reciprocates. Then off to bed. Yeah. It is the eighth of Ferriore. I need one of you guys to roll a d20. I'll do it. Alright, hit me. Let's see what luck is going to bring you. Ooh. Beautiful. Oh, that is great. I'm going to say one. Again, weather's on your side. It's warming up a bit. Sun's on your shoulders. It's going to be lovely here. Taking a break about partway through the day. There's this gorgeous rest stop. It's a truck stop.
There's a Hardee's inside. It's just a quick as a Pizza Hut Express. No. But there's this beautiful rest stop. How I mean that is this is a pretty casual place. This is a pretty casual place for adventurers to stop. You know that because there is a there's kind of a spot where logs are lined up and people would normally eat here. There's also this tall kind of outcropping of rocks. I'd say it's about probably 15 feet up or so. There's a big divide between between one side and the other, and there's these tall as trees. And what someone has done is suspended a rope swing in between the two sets of outcropping.
A big thing for people to do is kind of swing from one side to the other and try to do like tricks or something like that. That is, you know, that's kind of been I would say if you're in between Aubrey and Winterhaven, you probably know about this. If you made the trip more than like two, three times, something like that. But other than that, it's just happenstance that you would come across this. So it is one that the logs and stuff are kind of shaded because of these rocks. It's nice and warm out and just a beautiful day. Miss Boston, for you guys, I've had the chat open in the background.
They've been talking a lot about the bear still. Yeah, I've also been checking out my bed. Send your emails to dandrpodcast@gmail.com. That's dandrpodcast@gmail.com. And I'll give you the same answer that I gave you earlier. You can't apply Earth rules to Fantasy Bear. It's a function of disbelief, guys. Make sure you mention bear in the subject for the email so that Jason can just move them right to the trash. No, I try to get back to everybody. It's like, look, man, it's Fantasy Bear. Oh, golly. So, anything before we move on here? Well, Donovan wouldn't necessarily go do some swing tricks, but he'd probably like rest where the logs are and just keep an eye, see if any other adventurers and forget something.
Are we like stopping here or? I would say that this is a spot you found like you're looking for a rest break area. Like, it's like, OK, let's rest our feet. I think it's snack time. Yeah, like for lunch or something, whatever, because I imagine you guys are stopping every couple of hours or whatever. Yeah. Now I want to go on the rope swing. Definitely taking up a mat. For sure. I'm going to go ahead and put this up in a can of Beanie Wienies. Oh, man. Well, what would you like to do? OK, what would you like to try and do here? Because let me let me describe this.
So you have 15 feet high on both sides and then there's a gap like a good like a good like 10, 12 foot gap in between. So the rope swing is just it's mainly just for fun. You know, like you try and do tricks like jump like, OK, do you know like people use a swing set and they try and get as high as they can and then jump off the top of it? That type of thing. Well, yeah, I mean, if that is an option, then yes, for sure. I feel like I like also like like like Aster might kind of like nudge like Masoka and see like if he might also want to hang out because he's also done like acrobatic stuff recently.
She's motioning to the swing? Yeah. Yeah. They kind of nudge him and kind of like motion with their head towards the rope and be like. Want to go see what we can do on that? Do I? You don't have to ask me twice. OK. Yeah, I mean, I probably like like drop like their like bow and like gear and stuff and then just like, yeah, climb up to the rope and I don't try and do some sort of trick thing. I don't know. This is not my area of expertise. I don't know what that entails, but they're going to try and do something cool. Well, here's what we're going to do. We're going to have you roll an acrobatics check.
So essentially you are just sort of you're just swinging on this rope and leaping off at the height of the of its apex here. So you are just leaping off and just like either doing a twirl or a somersault, something like that. You are just leaping off and then landing on the other side. Now, there is a risk to this, and that's why it's so that's why it's like doing parkour or something like that. If you were to seriously biff this roll, we'll deal with the consequences. I'm talking you'd have to seriously biff it, right? Yeah. Yeah. But other than that, we're just going to see how high you guys roll and what fancy shit you're going to do and then kind of compare them to each other.
Nice. OK. So let's say, yeah, let's say Astor goes first and they're going to... Hopefully not completely. Oh, God. Belly flop? I would say, OK. What's between? It's just a hard ground between, right? Yeah. There's no water or anything, right? No. OK. No, no, no. There'd be no fun in that. There's no showing off. This... No, no. So, OK, Astor is going... Astor is going to swing and just I'm going to say they're going to mistime this jump a bit. Luckily, their foot is just going to catch the other side and they're going to kind of tuck and roll. It's not going to be graceful, but you're not going to fall in between the gap.
It's just going to be kind of like splash onto the other side. Yeah. But you're very much alive. It's going to be like a, "Hoo, OK," like that type of thing. I think you're less... I think Astor would probably be less worried about the not so graceful landing. It's just it's good that it's on solid ground. Oh, yeah, that's probably like they take like a couple of seconds, just like, "Oh, OK, that just happened." And then just big grin, adrenaline rush. Right. That was great. That was just like probably like throw their hands up in the air, give a big whoop because, yeah, that was that was awesome as far as they're concerned.
Did it die? Thumbs up. Seeing that, would Masoka still give it a shot? Oh, yeah. He would shout over to us, "Not bad, not bad, but check this out." He's going to crit or some shit. Oh, my God, if he crits. OK. Stop, that doesn't make me feel as bad. I would say Masoka is going to let go at the apex here, but probably not do anything crazy fancy. It's that it's like someone doing a belly flop into a pool or something like that. So it's just going to let go at the height of the jump and then just land on both feet, like completely serviceably, but not crazy gracefully.
It's not like, wow, he did like he did two like flips and then landed. It's just like, ha, like just kind of land, which is kind of a step up from what Astor did, but not not a crazy step up. Just looking at this from his log chair, I was just going to yell, "You guys are dorks." We're just warming up up here, OK? Best is yet to come. Oh, can we go again? Can we go back the other way or do we have to climb down? Yeah, OK. Yeah, I'm going to go. Round two, round two, round two. So is Masoka going first this time? What do you mean? I mean, I don't care. What do you like it?
He'll hand the rope to Astor. OK, OK, let's see what else you got. Come on. Better. Better than the two. That is true. You are going to again, solidly land on the opposite side. And this time just kind of like catch yourself. You land on both feet flat on the ground, just like that. But again, nothing fancy. Not not I wouldn't call it pretty, but you could definitely point to everybody else like, hey, I was brave enough to do it. That type of thing. Yeah, I think I'm getting the hang of it. That was good. That was a good one. OK. All right. He's going to spit in his hands and get all ready here and.
Focus, focus. Focus. At least we're going to get these rolls against the bear. That's true. I'm worried someone might die. I would say so. OK, Masoko is going to let go again and just clear like we're talking millimeters, just clear this ledge and probably land with one foot and then stumble forward and catch himself with the other one. And just like, oh, like it's going to take him probably a second to realize he didn't fall. Like just OK, OK, OK. Not graceful, not pretty, but you're safe on the other side. Can I ask a question? To the rest of the party, what does this look like?
Idiots. Yeah. Yeah, their garden. Ubo's got his arms crossed and he's like standing next to anyone else who's just kind of taking this all in and it's just like, I guess probably probably turns to, I don't know, probably Matty and just like when orcs travel a long way, we do not stop for long rope swing fun. This is taking a while. OK, would that be like audible to us up on the cliff? He's certainly not saying it quietly. Do me a favor, roll perception. Because you're up a bit. Yeah. Oh, yeah, you hear that. Roll high on that. Yeah, the Astor's going to go back.
That's because orcs are boring. Ubo just grunts at you. Yeah. How about we head, she's going to, Matty's going to yell up and say, yeah, how about we head out before one of you guys kills yourselves? Yeah, I mean, something's wrong with this rope anyway. Zoka, get down now. Astor. Get down. Yeah, I guess we got to teach him sometime. Well, really, I mean, all we do is fight and people are dying. How to do something. Is this literally you guys are mumbling this on the way down? Wow. OK, that is great. Do you know what I like best about this? Nothing was solved.
Like, it was just fun. It was just for fun. Fun for fun's sake. Yeah, absolutely. Meanwhile, as I mentioned, Donovan was just like looking around quickly, see if any other adventures just like, yeah, it's just fun. Yeah, it's just fun. Yeah, it's just fun. Meanwhile, as I mentioned, Donovan was just like looking around quickly, see if any other adventures just like, left some stuff behind. Forgot a coin purse. Forgot a legendary weapon, you know. A legendary weapon. You're going to see evidence of other people camping here, you know, like burnt out fires or, you know, that kind of like a piece of discarded rations, something like that, dried meat, something like that.
But not, nothing valuable, really. Alrighty. Yeah. Hey guys, with that rope swinging, I think it's a pretty good time for us to stop for the evening. Solid. And we will pick things up. You'll probably end up in Aubrey in the next session and we'll deal with that. Great. I'll be boning up. Congratulations, you did. You guys took out old Claudius, congratulations. No, what? You guys took out old Claudius. I know. Congrats, team. We didn't die from that or the cliff. No, man, that would have sucked, wouldn't it? Alright, now we can get back to important things like figuring out the specific gravity of the bear.
Oh my god. Does anyone have bear gravity for me? Here's the thing, the bear was its own planet. Gone. It was actually a small moon orbiting really close to Tharia. That makes sense because that bear meant the world to me. High five. Oh, good lord. That's three sessions. I'm free. Susan, we should make sure that we have all our notes about our backstory in check for the next episode. That's it next time because we're in Aubrey. Dear memories of NPC number one. Yeah, we're going to have the test next session and I want to pass. Yes. Do you guys want to sit down and go over stuff before we do the next session?
Yes. We totally should. Okay, good. I'll be around. But for now, how's everyone feeling? Does everyone feel pretty good? Yeah. Oh yeah. Yeah. Yep, definitely. That was fun. Jason. Yes. Which city was the guy we bought the furs off of? The guys you bought the fur of? Oh, Enghor two? Oh, Ebony Harbor. Ebony Harbor. That was Ebony Harbor. Okay. Yeah. Okay. Just wondering if we were going to run into somebody. Oh, man. Maybe we can have Artemis make sets of bear scale armors for us. Yeah. Artemis hasn't been in Arc 2. We're going to see Artemis. Oh, that's awesome. I haven't been skeevy at anybody's.
Yeah. Oh, golly. I feel great. You guys did a fantastic job. It was the same as it always is. It's a pleasure playing with you guys. Yeah. It was a lot of fun. Thank you. Yeah. It's good to be back. It's been a while. Yeah. Good old month and a half break. Oh, my God. There's more Twitch bits. Twitch cheers. I don't know what I'm doing. I am terrible at this. Get them biddies. Them tickled Twitch biddies. [Laughter] Thank you, LizLab. Man, I'm going to get ready and let you guys go, and we're going to get ready. And I guess we're going to get ready to do an AMA now. So Theriathon stretches on to the early morn on the East Coast.
So you guys get your questions ready because long ago we hit that goal. Thank you guys so damn much. And thank you guys for playing through the goal. We are at 3,773 on Patreon. Congratulations. Amazing. That's amazing. So Bree got a raise and we hit a specific milestone. We've never been that high on Patreon before. Thank you guys so damn much. Huzzah. Oh, man. Very cool. Also, I said so when you guys weren't in the call. I don't know if you heard it, but thank you guys for making time for this. Seriously, I know it was tough to schedule, and it was kind of a pipe dream, we thought, to get all three groups to play.
Not only did all three groups play, I think you all had amazing sessions. Aww. That was really fun. Yeah. You know, you got to save the best for last. Yay. With the rope swinging. [Laughter] And fair gate. Oh, no. It worked. It's been a month and a half, but I'd say you guys got back into the swing of things. [Cheering] I can do this. I'm done. [Laughter] We're almost like a bear anymore of this. Oh. I feel like it's always bear puns. Yeah. They're easy. Yeah. [Laughter] That's basically what it comes down to. I'm sitting here trying to do another one, and I'm way too tired.
Nothing is coming to me. I'll let you guys go. I am out of gas. Well, you guys get some rest. Good luck, most of you being dads. [Laughter] Thank you. You're most interested. Thank you. Good job, Kelsey, on being Kelsey. Yeah. [Laughter] And use it on bean season. Yeah. Proud of you both. [Laughter] All right, I'm going to let you guys go. Bye. Enjoy the AMA. Bye. Thank you. Bye, guys. Don't get too drunk. I'm not even drinking, dude. Oh, just a little bit. [Laughter] Bye. We really hope you guys enjoyed today's episode. If you did, maybe swing on by iTunes, give us a review.
Again, that helps us out immensely. We're also brought to you today by patreon.com/dandr. We are putting up a slew of content every single month. We are also passing milestones a lot regularly. We are almost ready to launch an audiobook. It's all about Talor, and it's primarily Thanos' backstory, but it also gives you a glimpse in how Githzeri Society works and all that good stuff. It'll probably be around two hours in length. I'm not really sure yet. We'll see how that comes together when it's all done. Thanks to you guys, we are also doing artwork. Artwork in the droves.
Thank you very much, Cole Vernon, who has been working with us very closely and getting stuff done that way. And finally, Curse of Strahd has been just amazing. Obviously, the first episode of Curse of Strahd was released in our regular feed. Every other episode is pretty much going to be in our patreon. So thank you guys for supporting us, helping us get to that. Everyone seems to really enjoy it, so we're just going to be cranking one of those out every single month. There's a bunch of stuff over there. I won't get into it, but thank you guys so much.
We really appreciate it. Again, brand new Living in Tharia, three and a half hours long. It's in there all about the roles of the gods and what they exactly do. Thank you for your questions. We'll see you next week with extended rest. It's probably going to be on a Saturday. Check our Facebook and Twitter for official announcements. And until then, you guys take care of yourselves. See you next time.
