They don't have time to learn too much about their new friend though because the Fang enter the bar and start harassing a local barkeep. And that's where we pick things up today. Let's do that thing where we go around the table and introduce ourselves. I'm Jason, I'm the Dungeon Master. Going around the table starting with Rob. I'm Rob, I play Skalnar Hisk, the Dragonborn Paladin Rogue. And Kelsey.

I'm Kelsey and I play Aster, the Elf Fighter Rogue. And Michael. I'm Michael and I play Amvan, the Half-Elf Wizard. And Xavier. I am Xavier and I play Donovan, the Human Fighter with a dash of paladin. Xavier, I think you're using the wrong mic. Ah shit, it was good earlier. Skal'Nar was talking to Kalras Grimnus, who is obviously in the fang and came in with a pack of vampires. And they pulled the bartender aside really quick, whispered something, and then the bartender scampered off, kind of frightful in fear. So, how's about we pick up, as promised, with Donovan? Okay.

It's only been a week, so you didn't have to wait too long. No, I'm ready. I've played out all the possible scenarios and none of them are going to happen now, so Donovan is going to keep his head down and try to really avoid any eye contact with the fang members and try to hide behind people as he walks and follows the bartender. I don't know where they're going. Masoka just asked where Clifford is. Clifford is still laying down, although the sun has gone down, so who knows where Clifford is at this point. Probably trying to prove himself somewhere. Oh, don't say that.

And he's going to turn around. "Can I help you with something?" "Uh, yeah, actually." And he's going to lean in a little closer. "I saw that guy at the bar. Is he threatening you?" Give me a persuasion check. Let's see how open this guy would be with you. "Oh, boo!" "That's my good skill." That's a nine. "Look, I just have to go get somebody really quickly. I don't want to keep this guy waiting. I'm sorry. I need to go." I'm just going to try to keep him there. "Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. Hold on, hold on." "If that guy's causing trouble, I can handle him.

Let me help you." "Give me one more persuasion check." "Thanks. Very kind." "Yeah, that's not bad. Okay." He's going to reach a hand out and put it on Donovan's shoulder. And then Kalras is going to go back to his friends, and they're going to leave this establishment. And Axe is going to whisper to Skellnar. "Psst! Hey!" "Hm? Yes?" "Um... you're... they're... those guys? Your friend wants to meet you by the back door." "Well, we'll see if he's my friend. I wonder what he has gotten me into." "It's a package. It needs to be accepted at the back door. And he's going to give you a wink." Skellnar just narrows his eyes and pays for his drink. All that's going through his head is like, "Have I made a terrible mistake trusting these adventurers?

And, you know, have they gotten me into something awful?" So he, uh, yeah, he, you know, kind of, like, there's nothing subtle about Skellnar, so he just starts tromping across the bar, you know, decisively. He... at this point he does, like, unknot his war hammer from his belt and get his whip ready, so he's, like, he is concerned there will be trouble. So he's arming up, but he goes. So let me ask a question. Everybody who wasn't part of this conversation, please do me a favor and roll Perception. Masoka, do so with, like, triple disadvantage. Is that a thing?

And then you're gonna watch Donovan follow the bartender through the kitchen and then come back and leave and Skal'Nar leaves. So, you're gonna see all this. I guess we follow? But, I don't know. Should we follow the dragonborn? I don't know. Should we see this through the window or have we walked in? Oh, I figure you're there maybe getting... Do you remember at Dragon Con when some of us would get to the Waffle... Oh my god, what's it called? Waffle Hut? Waffle Plate? What are they called? Waffle House. Thank you. I'm sorry. I mean, he could apparently do those pitch hitting now and all the like, you know, get those special hits in now. Hopefully. But really, it's out of concern.

I don't know why you're concerned. He's doing great. So he's just getting up, just kind of giving a little yawn and a stretch, probably a little hungry, but he's going to greet you, like if you knock on the door. And kind of like rubbing his eyes. Hey, what's going on? Shh. Maddie will like put her finger up to her lips and go shh, shh, shh, shh. And then hold out the bow and the quivers and the arrows to him. OK, so there are some bad guys downstairs. I got you this. His eyes will be light, by the way. Oh, and also the two daggers she bought for him. Yeah, she'll break all of that out and then very close to him as she's crouched in front of him.

OK, so I was going to have this big speech about how you should be more careful in fights. And I'm giving you this because I trust you, but we don't have time for that. There are some bad guys downstairs, like I said, and we need to get out of here. I want to say that Astor is probably like in the hallway outside, like watching, making sure that no one's like sneaking up or anything. That's pretty smart. Maybe Anven would pull Masocha to start heading towards the back, kind of like if we split off into two different groups and try to make sure that we try to keep an eye, try to see if they're not like leaving and then going further or slowly just trying to take too long to follow to the back.

That makes sense. Good idea. So, OK, we've got. Let's let's let's set up a map so the logistics of this are not lost. Yeah, that would be like, oh, just describe it. So you're basically trying to bag and tag him before he can run away? Well, or just kind of like hone in on his... 'Cause he knows he's got a pool of power, but all he's done so far is that, and like hitting the giants real strong and like glowing, glowy.

of course it hits oh god vampire spawn number three is gonna have a knife in his back now and he is oh quick yeah quick aside for those of us with levels of rogue I just googled it because I wasn't sure as rogues we can potentially use every last inch of our actions for a turn to make three moves because you can you can move your full speed - is your bonus action with cunning action and then - again with your attacking action you can literally do nothing else in your turn but we can make 90 feet per round while giving chase like this good lord yeah so just FYI rogues because there's like three three four of us in this yeah yeah three yeah might be our fourth well yeah he's definitely moving towards that also I realized that that thing that I went through to get into the bar was a window and not a door but I feel like that's even better right yeah I was like through a window yeah awkwardly I look at it like it's an entry point like yeah yeah so I don't picture it being pretty but like I picked just sleeping it's not like dive through and roll it's like dive through foot off the windowsill and like run across somebody's dinner on the table yeah because there's a table next it yeah I like it so if you yeah that window then you might as well also go through the window up just to the right of the fireplace I was gonna do that next right yeah I saw I saw it because you'd be like two spaces away from going through there yeah yeah all right vampire spawn number three is going to leap this wall and start running down the street with a damn dagger in his back I'm going to say this where we got five okay so here's what we're gonna do vampire spawn number five is the only one left he is going to run and leap to Clifford's going to get a tack of opportunity dagger that's gonna hit Oh where's Clifford Clifford is right here so as soon as the vampire moves away from him he gets an attack of opportunity what if I'm just showing up next to Anvin on my map okay that's that's weird it's like wait what okay so that'll be the last vampire in this alleyway and I'm gonna say that officially takes you out of combat but obviously this isn't over we now have a group of vampires in town and we got a manhunt on our hands mm-hmm I think that's a good time for us to stop at the evening all right all right after has 35 feet so they can move extra fast oh boy handy oh my gosh 105 so 21 spaces so round if you if you do nothing but move 21 spaces per round oh I played a monk once and I can't remember the way the fist and yes oh my god I can move 120 like she's eat with
