And they are outside of the food chain, which means tactically you could cut out the middleman and make a deal with somebody to make weapons for you to sell to others. If the price was right, you were charming. But, you know, hey. What do you guys want to do? It is the third of Rangway. You've had a wonderful meal. You've sniped at each other. You've you've you've guilted Adelbert into buying things for your giant cat. Where do we go from here, guys? A lot. I realize there are so many side quests here in Witcher three. I mean, here's the thing. You're in a hub town, basically.

So like there's tons of stuff to do. And you guys came here to make coins. So it's all about it's all about, you know, getting out there and mingling. The boys did request like a day. Yeah, but it's nighttime, isn't it? I mean, it's it's look, there's still plenty of things to do in this town at night. Oh, OK. And it's almost the day of lust. So half the town knows about you trying to find this place before you get there. And then eventually someone's kind enough. It's like, dude, put it away. Down the block. There's a place. Like we have your money. It's fine. So here's how this is going to work. You're going to get three fights each. The more fights you win, obviously, the better it is for you. The more you lose. Well, that's bad, obviously. But if you were to lose all three fights, you're going to walk away with some sort of wrinkle and probably an injury. If you were to win all three fights, you're going to be invited to a much larger, much larger, more vicious tournament with higher stakes. So who would like to go first? Oh, I think once Tobin and Tuck pay their money, Tobin looks to Tuck, looks at the ring and gives them the old like bow hands forward like, please, I guess.

Grins just abound. All right. This is your OK. You fought before, like, I mean, you fought some chickens. This is your first chance to be a badass. So you're going to make a series of checks, right? And the DC is going to be based kind of randomly. So each fighter that comes up, they're going to they're going to have to roll for their stats basically on the fly. And that'll be their check. So we're going to test your athletics, your acrobatics and your insight, basically.

So this is your ability to think on the fly and kind of move. This is obviously your ability to swing and hit. But it's it's it's also your ability to keep up with your opponent and read them. So I'm sorry, you didn't say strength. Well, athletics like strengths in there. So here's what we're going to do. Right. I'm going to roll for your your opponent. Here we go. So. These will basically be your your three checks and then that'll be your three fights. So two d10s plus five. And that'll be your first opponent. Oh, 10. So give me an athletics check. OK. Athletics.

There are very large bouncers standing outside and then two guards inside to keep an eye on you. These people have some pricey things, but very valuable. Right now, behind the counter, they have like the this glass top thing you can look. But then there's the stuff that's that's that's behind the behind the counter. And they're going to bring out this velvet tray and and sit it on top.

There's a couple of different things here. There's some rings. There's this. It's a rather large ring. It could probably more likely pass off as as man's jewelry, like a big. But it's got this stunningly bright ruby in it. This is on a velvet tray with magic items. Now, this is sitting next to this beautiful silver locket. The locket itself has a has a bit of an angular design. And if you open it up, there is a slot for like a like a picture, like a sketch, something like that. And the person behind the counter is going to tell you, it's like, OK, this ring I could part with for 500 gold.

And I can also engrave it for you if you like. But this does offer the wearer protection from excess heat and even fire itself. Now, this locket is very special. It's one of a kind. Now, if you were to have an artist in town, let's say sketch a likeness of someone that you care about, even if it's yourself, if you put it inside this locket and you attune yourself to this locket for one hour. If something bad were to happen to the person depicted in the locket, you could bring them back. One minute before the bad thing happened to them. Now, that is a five thousand dollar.

That is a five thousand gold necklace. But I assure you, you will not find another item in the world like it. Now, this is sitting next to a set of brass knuckles that are this gorgeous. They're called brass knuckles, but this is a gorgeous, polished silver like this is polished to the point where it reflects. It reflects the room. But on top of the brass knuckles, it is completely covered in diamonds. Now, this is this is also a magical this is also a magical item. So if you were to wear this, you get three charges a day that you could use this. If you were to punch something, you hit them with such force that you could throw them through walls.

And it's called the icy bitch. Now. Um. No. Oh, my God. That's for us. We're crazy. All that ice. That is that is also 500 gold, but every day, 500. But every day you get three new charges. And it is a great way to get someone away from you that is invading your personal space like that's how it's pitched. It's like, well, in these times, it's very important to social distance. And then they have the regular stuff next to that on a slightly smaller tray. But there's some beautiful stuff there. And we're we're talking between the areas of 25 and 50 gold. But like this is high end stuff. This is actual jewels. Like not, you know, not costume jewelry. They're not thugs. Was it like one of those things that are like there's no price tag? They're like, well, if you have to ask that, you can't.

It's it's it's very pretty woman. It's yes. Good thing I have my best outfit on. It is so droll to talk about money. Like it's just it's it's so it's it's like, yes, I guess we could. If you want a good laugh like that type of thing, like, you know. I think we will look at this and just be out of her element and she would just be like shiny things. Wow. It means nothing to me. And she'll just kind of lean over to the boss. Boss, the other things look a little pricey for me, but do you have any suggestions about what, you know, a little bit of older woman might like?

I have no clue here. That would be the icy bitch. I mean, yes, but also I could see a Dame Judi Dench wearing it like I can see. Hell yes. Yeah. Maybe a locket, but not this one. Yes. Well, well, very nice. And she's just like voice cracks just because she she's thinking about five thousand away. Oh my God. Maybe something a little simpler, a little less overstated, a little classic. And she'll actually like point to another one that's like just like normal. She'll nod and just look to the salesman. How much for what she is pointed at. Is this for a loved one?

Perhaps a mother, grandmother or something like that? It's for my wife. My apologies. You looked too young to have a wife. So she's going to bring out it's like this piece is only 15 gold, but it is an absolute steal for that. It is this beautiful, like a very understated gold chain, but it is woven in such a way that. It looks like it's several golden strands, like like braided together. It's elven in design and you simply can't get this kind of craftsmanship on to lower currently. And she'll look at it and they kind of look at Delphine just like to get the OK.

And then she'll say, she'll nod. Yes, please wrap it up for me. Absolutely. There is one more necklace here that is of of such refined taste. It is 100 gold. It is a beautiful sapphire pendant. That gives you a plus two. Two persuasion checks. And we can offer one point five times their market value. If you bring us rarer, more powerful objects, I assure you, we have the coin to purchase them from you. As long as this contract is exclusive. Then I think we can enjoy a long and prosperous friendship. I think that that will be sufficient. We nods to just behind the boss. Yeah. If this does happen, we are sure that would smooth over any breaches and etiquette we've taken by striking up a bargain with you. And at that point, she's going to she's probably going to start to break away. It's like, OK, we have a deal where we're good and probably start to grab everybody. It's like, OK, let's go before you fucking lose your mind, because to them. Actually, OK, how much do you guys know about the local fair here?

I would reiterate that after they're all gone. So we're in this abandoned house and they're all gone, right? They would probably take their leave.

And look, that's fair. A nice call on the seven K starter. Yeah. Yeah. It's like I was like it's like six is like not enough to negotiate with. So it's like eight is too high. That's like definitely pushing it, especially if we're locked in exclusivity and shop options. Yeah, it's that's yeah. That might be a problem. I'm glad Mandy was like, we'll do a trial period. I was like, oh, sweet. All right. Yeah. Because, you know, I think I could be keeping dicks. Yeah, it's tough. It's I'm trying to think of a real world equivalent and it's it's I don't want to offend anybody.

So like it's tough. But like there's that came down to dice rolls and there is a reality where she did not come with him and it was just him.
