Today, we got the Overseers for you. But before we get to that, I just want to remind you guys that we do have a Kickstarter coming up that is August 28. It is the second setting book. We're going to Talor this time. We have tons of stuff ready to go, and we'll be launching a trailer for that pretty soon to let you guys know what the tiers are going to be and everything we're going to be offering and some stretch goals we hope to hit. On top of that, we just got done renovating the website. You can go check that out. And the page to find a group is back up and running.

The Knights are going to be handling that more specifically. Valerie is going to be handling that. And I really want to thank her because that is a ton of effort and work. So if you're looking for a group, you want to play in Theria, you want to find some people from the community and go play, please go check it out. It's on the website at dandrpodcast.com. And of course, if you want to help us keep the lights on, you can do that by going to Patreon at patreon.com/dandr. There's going to be some new stuff going up there. We're actually doing this interview thing this weekend.

By the time this goes up, it'll already have happened. So next week, instead of a regular episode, we're going to be doing like a big cast mailbag thing because we're all going to be in the same spot. So we're going to take advantage of that. We don't usually get a chance to. So we're going to hear a few words from our sponsors. And then after that, it's time for a brand new Overseers. Don't go anywhere. We'll be right back. - Ooh. Let's do that thing where we go around the table and introduce ourselves. I'm Jason. I'm the Dungeon Master going around the table, starting with a bright eyed, bushy tailed Xavier.

- Hello. I am Xavier. And I will be playing the doctor formerly known as Chapman, the lizard folk rogue. - And Valerie. - Hi. I'm Valerie. And I'm playing Linda Wright, the human bard. - And Jasper. - Hello, I'm Jasper. I play Flos Valal, Warforged barbarian, question mark? Yeah. [END PLAYBACK] And last and certainly not least, Jamison. - Hi, I'm Jamison. And I play cave luring the human warlock. - Well, this is one of those weird episodes where we're opening up with a combat. And we've already rolled initiative. For those of you who don't remember, there's a death kiss, which is a splinter group of beholders.

And it kind of didn't sneak up on you, but it kind of orbited into your vicinity. And it's going to go first. That's the bad news. The good news is you're all going to go next. So let's start with the death kiss. It is going to-- let's do something kind of opening salvo-y. Let's get a feel for things here. It is going to move right up here. And it's going to make three tentacle attacks. We're going to get real hentai up here real quick. Jamison disapproves. So it's going to go for cave, Chapman, and floss. Just the three in the front right now. So let's start with cave.

Boom, tentacle. 24 will hit. Oh, boy. 15 damage. And yep, you are grappled now. It's going to wrap this tentacle around your waist, just kind of pull. I would like to hellish rebuke it, please. I think that's only fair. One of my two spells for this combat. That's easy. You point your finger and the creature that damaged you is momentarily surrounded by hellish flames. The creature must make a dexterity saving throw. Takes 2d10 and failed save. At higher levels, we can cast a spell using a spell slot at a second level or higher. 1d10 for each level above first.

So OK, I can cast spells at what level? You're level eight, so I think you're casting them at-- I think it's level four. Level four is my highest level spell slot. So I'm going to cast it at level four, which means if it fails the save, it's going to take 5d10 fire damage. Oh, shit. Well, let's see. Dexterity, right? Dexterity. I crit. Well, he's going to take half that. That's fair. So we're starting off good, guys. One-- come on. Kick walk. Four, five-- I'm going to roll the full, and then we'll just take half. So 33 by half. 16. 16. And he yells something to the effect of ew, gross, as the tentacles wrap around him.

Yeah. So it gets a little worse. You're grappled and restrained. OK. Which makes things a bit more-- yeah. Your speed's reduced to zero. You have disadvantage on attack rolls and dexterity saving throws, and the attackers have advantage. Attacker, in this case. So yeah. So let's see if Chapman fares any better. Shit, that was almost a seven. Rolled over to a 15. Those rolls. Yeah. 23 will hit. Oh my god. 21 damage. One shot of max. And restrained. Yeah. Oh, this could be a very dark evening. Floss. Do better. Oh, it was almost a four, and it rolled over to an 11. That is 19, and that will hit.

Damage, 15. Wait. You aren't raging yet. Oh. I fixed it. Yeah. Why? I think. I think, I think. Yes. That might be a surprise thing. Berserkers have a thing where they can immediately rage or something. I think it's just in a surprise round. You could act normally. So I think it doesn't do anything now, because it's just initiative order. I always do have resistance to bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing. It's true, though. Oh. OK. Always. Oh, because the Warforged? Yep. Are we using Therian Warforged or using Everon Warforged? Hey, man. No, that's Therian. That's their big thing instead of like, yeah.

It's fine. It doesn't matter. It is. Yeah. Fuck this thing. So yeah, man. Three of you are restrained. And that brings up Linda. OK. So that-- a lot of things happened. It looks like in this fight, we will be using all of the new things that I got. The first of which is a new spell called Tasha's Mind Whip. Let me wait for it to load so I can tell you what it does. And if that is what you believe-- Come on, please. --then I have something that could shock and discredit you. Wait, really? No, I'm just-- it's a Simpsons reference. Oh, OK. So anyway, I hit it with my mind.

It's got to make an intelligence saving throw. If it fails, it takes damage, blah, blah, blah. The important part is that if it's a failed save, it can't take any reactions until the end of its next turn. Moreover, on its next turn, it must choose whether it gets a move, an action, or a bonus action. It gets only one of the three. And then if it saves, it just takes half damage, and that's it. Well, intellect is not one of its strong suits, so I'm sure it'll probably fail. 15. You have no idea what your spell save DC is, do you? Save-- it might be 11. What's your charisma?

My charisma is 17. So that's plus 3 plus 3 plus 6 plus 8 plus 6. That's 14. That would be 14. So it saves. So it saves. Well, then it takes half damage. How do you do half? Up at the top of the screen, there's a little plus slash and minus on the right-hand side, all the way up top. What the fuck? Oh. I got to wait for it to know that I'm clicking something. Give it a sec. This is good audio. Please. Please. OK. Half. Jesus Christ. Oh, and I have to target it? You just untargeted. It's one of these buttons. It's really-- There you go. You got it. You did it. Oh, it's not-- Fine.

Everything's fine, you guys. You did it. Good job. I'm proud of you. Thank you. That was too much. So 9 damage in half. So yeah, 4 damage. Anything else? That was one action. So-- Felt like so much more. I'm-- oh, now I-- never mind. I'll just take a fun step back. Just for fun. You don't want to get tentacled? No, thank you. That's a good idea. Can I remind you that as a bard, you can give your allies a bardic inspiration as a bonus action? That's true. That is found under abilities. This is-- oh, but my bardic inspiration is a d8, and I have three of them. See, I wrote it down right here.

OK. Right, OK. Oh, and you can reroll anything, right? That's what it is? Or you know you add a thing onto a thing. Yeah. OK. As a bonus action, I'm going to give bardic inspiration-- let's see. Everyone's restrained. We love that. I'm going to give my bardic inspiration to Cave. And I'm going to say, you got this. I believe. He does this slow head turn while he's wrapped up tentacle. It's like-- [LAUGHTER] That was it, huh, boss? [LAUGHTER] Have we talked about the bardic flavor of Linda? I know we've talked about it, but I feel like it is motivational poster type.

Yes, it's more like motivational speaking. You know, you just have to believe in yourself. I don't even have to believe in you, but I will. And that's out of the goodness of my heart. I'm in no way required to believe in myself. That's Linda's new type of speaking for inspiration. That would actually work on Cave, so that's fine. She doesn't have to, but she's doing it. Speaking of which, Cave, your turn. OK. So you're going to start. This tentacle's just wrapped around you. Yeah. And after the inspiring words from Linda, that sort of red-black energy that tends to come from his eyes when he's in danger.

Which is often. Which is all the time lately. It's going to start up, but it's actually going to have a little bit of a different vibe to it this time. It's going to be almost kind of like purpley starlight type vibe to it. Because he is going to, in the process of telling this thing to get the fuck off of him, he's going to cast banishment on it. Oh. So it needs to make a charisma save. Oh. Well, that's not one of its strong suits either. It's not very charismatic. See, I didn't get that vibe from it. I thought it was very-- Three. OK. So now you said that there were Therian rules to this spell that are different.

Because I'm reading the way it's described here. And what the spell says, "Target must secede on the charisma saving throw or be banished. If the target is native to the plane of existence you're on, you banish the target to a harmless demiplane while the target is incapacitated. The target remains there until the spell ends, at which point the target reappears in the space it left or in the nearest unoccupied space, if that space is occupied." So the only difference-- mechanically, it all works the same. The only difference is the plane's thing, it's basically shifted out of time.

The way I described it to you was there was a wonderful episode of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles where Bebop and Rocksteady were sort of in between. They were a couple of seconds off from everybody else. So they existed. Think about it. You remember when Starscream died in Transformers and his ghost was working with Unicron? And picture that. They're just out of sync with the rest of existence. OK. So that happens. And I assume we're no longer restrained. It would have disappeared. So Cave turns around and says, "Let's go. We got to go right now." How long does this last?

This lasts concentration up to one minute. OK. So you can get a good distance away. So we got to chase you. Chapman can move third. If I use my cunning action and my dash action, I can move a grand total of 30 feet per six seconds. So times 10, I can move 300 feet away, which is a good head start. That's a very good head start. What can we do here for Floss to be able to hear Cave say, "Let's go." And Floss just snap into action and basically go get Chapman as a piggyback and put him on his back and then just start backpacking, like just start running as an adrenaline type thing.

Yeah. What can we do here? Can we do an athletics check? I think it would take two of you. Now I have an idea. And I know it didn't work last time. But this time it might. I do have a thing called Leomin's Tiny Hut. It says it takes one minute to cast. And-- It could be a photo finish. --the thing's gone for one minute. And then we can just hang out in there, I think, forever. It just says the spell ends if you leave its area. It's just going to be waiting on us. Yeah, it's just going to sit there and stare at us till we get out. So OK. OK, Elder Scrolls III, Morrowind, was a fantastic game.

It was dated for the time. You could die to a worm in the opening. So there were these pterodactyl creatures that would follow you. And as you ran away from them, you'd scoop them up. And if you ran into a building, even if you sat there for weeks, as soon as you open that door, you're going to be attacked by those same pterodactyls. That's what you're facing. Like-- They're like these. Yeah, they just never leave. OK, totally different. We'll do a table talk, though, for the in-the-moment kind of thing, though. OK. OK. I'm kind of on board for Linda. Kind of on board for Linda's idea when her turn comes.

But let's not forget, we have the mob and Sithro. That's the thing is that we've got the mob. So all you have to do, Cave, is say, we got it. Let's go. And then get them to follow on. And then the thing appears again. And then it's got more food. They're the mob. And then they're-- Well, how far behind us is the mob? Because Cave is running in that direction, the Kneebreakers. So you're running backward. Running backward. Because here's my thought. If it gets out and it follows us-- I don't know how superhumanly this thing can track us. I want cannon fodder between me and it.

Well, the way I described it, they were like a quarter mile back, somewhere in there. They're giving you a good-- OK. Yeah. Yeah. Cave is running that way. He's like-- OK. And he starts running and starts heading off in that direction. I move my 30 feet or whatever. And that's my turn. Sure. OK. I mean, Floss is just going to follow Cave's-- whatever Cave's directions are. So if you're using both your actions to-- well, it's one. Yeah. You're just-- you're moving. One action. Yeah. So yeah. OK. And Floss does the same thing? I mean, there's nothing to fight. So he's just going to run with Cave.

Isn't-- correct me if I'm wrong-- Chapman is in the armor in the wagon still? Or how did we do that? Well, you were kind of camping. Like you were-- yeah. Yeah. Yeah, I feel like after being grappled, I'm standing up now. That ship has sailed. But are you in the Big Daddy suit, or are you-- I am. I am. That's why I can't move fast at all. But I'm thinking, yeah, maybe I could-- maybe those horses carried me before. I could just skedaddle on the horses on the cart, drive it. Yeah. I'll try that. OK, well, I mean, yeah. Floss could help you up, give you a little bit of a lift.

Yeah. I mean, Cave's wearing the big heavy armor. He's not proficient in two. So you know what it'll do? I'll move the 30 feet away from the camp on my turn, and then turn around. And if everybody else is getting on the fucking cart, he'll be like, oh, OK. And he'll go back and get on the cart. [LAUGHTER] Yeah, there's no reason right now. You're out of combat for a minute, right? That's 10 rounds. So there's no reason to follow the initiative tracker right now. So it sounds like you're getting on the cart, and you're going. Yeah. Getaway car. Yeah. Getaway cart.

Chapman opens the door for her, and then goes like, get in. Yes, and Cave will explain. He'll be like, I don't know really how I just did that. I just know that I'm focusing very hard right now, and there's a chance it'll come back literally at any time for no reason. So we have to be away from here when it does. Hopefully it forgets about us. It might not. The way I picture disappearing-- you ever watch Aqua Teen Hunger Force? Any old school adult swim? OK. Oh, yeah. 2003, surely. Oh, yeah. Boy, yeah. Do you remember the Brood Witch? Like, no? OK, that's fine.

So basically, it's just a quick flame out, and it's gone. Like, yeah. OK. So yeah, you guys will get well away. Getaway cart. Yeah. Getaway cart. Let's go. So if you're-- Now, do we think it's-- we think it's going to follow us, right? It probably might. That's the assumption. I'd like to operate under that assumption. I mean, yeah. It hurts you not at all to just guess that it's going to follow you. Should I heal everybody then? It hurts nothing at all to operate. [LAUGHTER] Maybe when Linda starts getting close to everybody, like, offer maybe assistance, from the suit, you hear a new voice that sort of tells Linda, oh, man.

White, white. I have a badass solution, probably. Just give me 10 minutes. I need to get out of this coffin. 10 minutes? Well, we don't have 10 minutes. It's coming back in one. Well, if it's a quarter mile away on a cart, it might take a while. Well, I mean, let's see. I'll start trying to get out of the armor if I have time by the end of that. Maybe you can heal us. It looks like it's time for math, everybody. So if a horse leaves the death kiss traveling at a speed of, let's say, 15 miles an hour right now-- these are reliable horses. They're not speedy, OK?

And you have a solid minute of travel time that's not going to fully get you back to the people traveling behind you. But there will be a lightning strike behind you to let you know that this thing is pissed. And it's probably heading in that direction. Now the-- Wait, a lightning strike? Oh, a lightning strike, yes. And there's not a cloud in the sky. So it's like, ah, shit. Like, it's coming from exactly where you were. So-- OK, so Cave can feel when it leaves the banishment? Or is it just like, oh, shit, it's gone. It's out. Yeah, no. He's going to-- You would know.

If you have to concentrate, you would know it's over. Fair enough. OK. Wait, how far away did you say everyone was? About a quarter mile. A quarter mile, right? Yeah, about a quarter mile. So you'd be-- So then in the one minute-- because I did do the math-- in the one minute, we would have gone a quarter mile away from the bow holder. Yeah, but you didn't start traveling at the minute. You have to load up on the carriage-- Yeah, we're doing like, piling the cart. --so you're a couple of like-- like a round or two short. And I'm sorry. I'm confused too. What you're telling me is there's no time to get out of the armor. 10 minutes is a stretch.

But-- I just looked it up. It's five. It does say five. 10 to put on, five to take off. Official rules. Fine. Did we-- when we got in the-- I know we kind of went in a couple of different directions. Specifically, actual direction. Did we go-- did we get in the cart and just go the way we were headed? No, backward. Or did we get in the cart and turn around and go back the other way? It's a U-turn. That's another thing I had to factor in. Is that true? Yes. Is that what we did? Yeah, we went back because that's where the knee breakers were. And we need to strengthen numbers right now.

You ever watch a cart turn around? It's fucking slow. We can do like an eight point turn. Austin Powers doing a three point turn. But the one other thing that Cave's going to do on the way, as soon as he announces it's out, we got to go. And he's like, with the reins, he's also doing a crow call as loud as he can. Basically just going, caw, caw, motherfucker, get up. So the first person you're going to see is Captain Pouches himself riding up on that nightmare horse, just streaking toward you. And he's going to rear up because of course he's going to rear up.

He'd be the guy popping a wheelie every chance he got if he had a bike. What's wrong? That's after he gets done the wheelie. And we just keep going and Cave just goes, lots, lots and lots. Let's go. He'll turn around and kind of like trot alongside the carriage. But seriously, what is it? We saw fireworks. Boss will eagerly say. He's going to look to Cave to translate that. He's not wrong. We did see fireworks. Right now, though, there's a really awful monster behind us that hurts a lot. I'm not sure what it wants, but I think it's my blood. And we need to go back to that camp where all of us can help destroy it because I don't want to by myself.

I mean, and he gestures to everybody, but can I get a perception check, please? Oh, boy. Is he going to write off by himself? 13 plus zero. You're going to catch a look in his eye like a glimmer. When you say dangerous on a scale of 10. What do you what are you talking here? Right now, I'm feeling 10. I'm feeling real 10. And like, I don't know if we have like burn marks or lacerations or wherever where this thing hit us, but. So he's like. It's got tentacles. Where do you stand on hand dye? This dude's into it. I have several body pillows. This is going to excite him to know it.

I've been looking for a worthy opponent for some time. Tell the others when you see them, send them my way, but I shouldn't need them. Absolutely not. You get your ass back here right now. No, let him go. Let him go. No, we need him to evaluate our rubies. I don't need him dying to a friggin whatever that thing is back there. You stay with pleasure. I don't want him to go out in pleasure. I don't want any pleasure involved at all for anybody right now. I want him to stay alive so he can evaluate our goddamn rubies. That's the whole reason we went into the city and had to put up with all this shit.

And as a doctor, I can't allow anyone to die if I'm not close enough to collect the limbs. Had me in the first half. Fine. I mean, you're going to get your chance. It's coming after us, but let's all fight it together. You can be in the front, though. Yeah, you can be in the front if you want. He is going to-- he's going to give a tryhard smile at that. Like, yeah. Just like-- he sees it as an epic moment where-- He thinks he's an anime protagonist. Yes, he does. OK. So the leg breakers are going to catch up with you guys after a little bit here. I'm guessing you're explaining the situation to them.

Yeah, as soon as we get to a point-- I mean, this is Cave's plan. Let me know if anybody else does anything differently. But as soon as we get to a point where we're all within, say, 50 feet of the same area, like, cart gets pulled over, Cave hops out and quickly explains, like, this thing sucks, it's on its way. Like, I made it real mad, and it sucked before it was mad, so get ready, you know? And then, you guys better help out, or we're going to have to have a conversation after this. And then he's going to stop paying attention to them and turn around and pay attention to where the beholder is probably coming from.

During preparation time, Chapman would do as best as he can to use an action on everybody who got hurt earlier. So that's Floss, myself, and Cave to use my healer feet and spend the use of my healer's kit to heal a D6 plus 12 hit points to the three of us. That's much better than what I have. But I can only do that once per day. Per person. That's a while. Yeah, I'll roll it, because I'm the doctor. You won't let me scroll. OK, 12, D6 plus 12. Let's do Floss. Going to heal you by boom, 18. Let's do Cave. Still 13. Let's do myself. 16. So, Chasen, are you on top of this?

Yes, give me a second. I'm also getting a-- Yeah, we just changed the whole combat for you, sorry. Oh, no, that's fine. I just had to get a new map to represent all of this. I changed-- I fixed my own hit points. Aw, good. I've got two wounds left. Let me create a power for this. Hm. Also, I'm out of spell slots, guys. That was it. That's all I got. Yeah. We can't banish it again, so that's-- Un-capped. That's new. Could you give me those-- who was-- who was for what? Yeah, 18 was for Floss. Got it. 13 was for Cave. Got it. And 16 was for Chapman. All right. You're no longer restrained.

There we go. That's better. No longer hentai. Aw. All right. We're going to do fun stuff, guys. All right, how many of these chuds are on our team? Well, I didn't want to bog down the initiative tracker, so you got Slitthroat and four of them. That'll represent your team, you know? Where's Timothor? He's number one. No. He's number one. He colors his shirt. He's got to live. I'll sacrifice Slitthroat for Timothor. Whoa. Oh, yeah. No, easy trade. Easy trade. Why does anybody have to be sacrificed? Can't we all just get along? We can. I love-- I'm not the one who put the death kiss on the board.

I love how Linda just wants him dead as quickly as possible. [LAUGHTER] He's our meal ticket. We can't have him die. Oofy doofy. Boy. That's a big map. Cool map. Ooh. Big budget. Big budget. I love Slitthroat's icon. [LAUGHTER] I cannot wait to get art of that, man. [LAUGHTER] So. OK. You prep your leg breakers. You got Slitthroat standing valiantly right in the middle of the road, waiting for this thing to crest over the hill. And it is arcing lightning. Like-- let me give you a visual. Big trouble in Little China. You know what I mean? Just arcing lightning. And Val, just don't worry about it.

It was cool. It was Raiden before Raiden existed. So Raiden is a character in a franchise called Mortal Kombat. Yeah. Explaining your explanation, lady. I've heard of that one. There you go. OK. There's recently a movie-- Like Shazam. You know, that reference from the 1930s. Oh, you mean the music app. Yes. Yeah. [LAUGHTER] Anyway, let's continue. Even that's an old reference. I know. Even that. Yeah. Everybody do me a favor. Roll me initiative. Oh, wow. All right. Yeah. Cheated the system. Love it. I do get advantage on initiative. OK. Oof. Not good for advantage. Seven. Man.

Man. This thing's still on top. That's messed up. I got to reroll. Like, I haven't rerolled his things yet. Oh, OK. I'm just going to call it DK. He rolled better. Great. Oh. OK. Great. Cool. Cool. He's angry. That's-- I mean, I would be. Good thing Slitthroat's front and center. Yep. Great news. So Slitthroat looks overjoyed. Like, this-- like, finally. Like, a worthy opponent. Like, that type of thing. Like, he is-- he's-- like, he's slapped his horse on the butt to get it out of the way. And like, his hair is just blowing in the fucking breeze. Like, he's so ready. Like-- He's doing the quick draw hands on his crossbows.

Like-- Like, yes. He hasn't drawn a weapon yet. He's just like-- Oh, god. I'm going to kill him. He's just-- like, he licked his fingers to feel the wind. And like, he's so over-preparing, and it's all theatrics. And yeah. So there's one of two options. Either he's phenomenal in combat, or he's a fucking goof. I was just going to say, if this guy's useless in a fight, I'm going to be so mad. Like, both at him and at you, personally. [LAUGHTER] Yeah, at least Liefeld's heroes were, you know, good at what they did. Oh, Jesus. OK. [LAUGHTER] Death Kiss is going to sidle on up. [SIGH] [RUMBLING] That's the sound it makes.

Did the-- did our allies do a roll initiative, or they're just going at the end? Wait. Oh, that's weird. I hit-- huh. I rolled for NPCs, but let me do it again. Uh, that means I'm going to have to put-- yeah, 24 was his. OK. There they go. They didn't roll amazingly, but they're enforcers, you know? They're here to break legs. So Death Kiss wanders up. [RUMBLING] And it is going to start to tentacle the field. So let's do-- well, let's start with the man in front, right? Let's start with slitthroat tentacle. That's going to miss slitthroat. Legend. And then we're going to go for enforcer 2 and floss.

Enforcer 2. That'll hit enforcer 2. That'll kill enforcer 2. [LAUGHTER] Why are we afraid of these guys? And floss. Crit miss on floss. Not rolling on the table, but yeah, that's-- oh. That must have been one of the anemic enforcers. Maybe, you know, floss learned from the last combat round. Right, right. That he needed to do some-- you know, some dodging. We said Timothy is enforcer 1, right? Yes. He's still alive. Timothy is still alive. Cave looks back at him as this thing approaches. Like, I got you. You stay with me. I love you. He reaches for him. Cave, you are up.

All right. So seeing enforcer 2, who was like right next to Cave, go down like a bitch. Cave's actually going to get mad because that was his knee breaker. So we're going to have the old-fashioned, old red eyeball energy come out. And we're going to Eldritch Blast this guy. I can see me target this. And we're going to Eldritch Blast. It's a 21. 21 will hit, baby. All right. And we're going to do-- what the hell? That was the-- no, that wasn't an attack. That's-- yep. Yeah, so here. Damage. I also do my charisma bonus on top of that. So that's five more. Oh, it added it.

OK, never mind. So 13. Yeah, it's in there. Can't roll 13 on that. D8 or D10. The map was covering the total. And I'm going to do it again because I get to cast two at this level. So here we go. A 15. That's going to miss. Dang. OK. So the second one goes wide. But that's it. That's my turn. That'll bring up Doc Chapman. For the artist. A useless Chapman. Where did the enforcer die exactly? I didn't even see him on the map. He just gone too quick. Was he next to Cave? Gone too soon. Yeah, he was just to the right of Cave. So like, Tentacle comes out and just squeezes the life out of him, and he drops.

Imagine if we're going to ride his neck, and it's like 10 feet away from Cave. All right, so Chapman goes, man down, man down, move aside. And he'll clump his way 10 feet. And then he'll use his extra juice and use his cunning action to move an extra 10 feet right in here. And he'll give up on the dead body, and he'll turn his attention to-- he'll turn his whole body to see where Linda is, and then to face the whole thing. Kind of like, drops himself tall, even though that doesn't change the armor at all. It just stays the same. And he'll draw his two biggest knives, technically short swords for the record.

And I guess I'll use a dodge action and stay here. All right, Linda, you are up. OK, so I think-- so I have a spell called Enhance Ability. And I do have to touch the person to cast it. You want to touch the beholder? Nope. Oh. See, I was thinking-- and then if I cast it at a higher level, I can do multiple people. So I was thinking, would it work if I were to, let's say, cast Enhance Ability at level three, so I can do it on two people? And can I just run by and pat people on the back as I do that? Or do I have to do it right next-- You have to be able to touch both of them at the same time.

At the same time? Yes. Yeah, because you're casting the spell at that point. OK, yeah, that makes sense. Well, then-- OK. Well, then there's not really much Linda-- I mean, unless-- you know what? Fuck it. Linda's going to try it again. Tasha's mind whip. Maybe it'll work this time. I'm close enough, blah, blah, blah. OK, yeah. So I think I'm still targeting him, so I will-- now, is it DC 14? Because in the thingy, it's showing me that it's DC 11 because it's intelligence-based rather than charisma-based. What's your spellcasting? It's charisma, right? I think so.

It would count as a bard spell, so it would be charisma. So it just says intelligence because it's wrong? Yeah, hold on. Because it's from wizard or something. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I can do this. Hold on a second. Hold on. Yeah, there you go. Gotcha. So it says 11, though. It's 14, Valerie. OK, I know, but it says-- oh, listen. OK. Anyway, do I do this? I don't know what this is about to do. It rolled a 2. Great. It failed. It failed. So it's going to take 3d6 psychic damage. Ooh. So 4 total damage. Yeah. So 4 damage. And then also, it can't have any reactions until the end of its next turn.

And for its next turn, it has to either move, do an action, or a bonus action, and just do one of those. Got it. I'll keep it there for now. OK. Oh, boy. Enforcer number 4 is going to see what happened to his coworker and be a little less inspired to do the thing. But there's a bunch of you, so it can't kill you all, right? Boom, right there. So he's going to get right up in this thing's face. Hold. Yeah. So he's going to swing on it, roll a 2, and miss. And now he's standing there like this. He's got his dukes up. Now this is a problem. So floss. OK. Also, somehow I think I-- go ahead.

This thing's got no legs is the problem. There's nothing for him to break. Right. Right. Yeah, so they're completely ill-equipped for that. So floss is just going to say, absolutely not. And he's going to come straight up. He's just-- he's bothered that this is here. He's raging at this point. And he's going to attack with his hammer of sin. Let's do it. OK, 27 will hit. And-- Looks like you're double raging. I don't know if they're going to miss out here. Yeah, I know. I'm trying to figure that out. I accidentally clicked a button, and now I'm double raging. But I don't know if that's doing anything weird.

I took-- you're single raging again. OK. All right. All the same, but still single raging. Attack should still be OK. I am going to now hit with my hammer of sin. All right. 16 damage. 16 damage. Do I have plus 2 for melee? Yeah, it's added. Oh, it added. OK, great. All right. Does a hammer of sin do anything interesting or fun? Well, right now it's acting as a hammer. So you're going to hit this thing in, like, a child's birthday balloon. It's going to-- whoa! Like, it's-- yeah. I'm thinking pinata. This is all this is for floss. He's actually kind of having fun with it.

OK. Great. Second attack. I'm actually going to go for another attack. I got another one. I mean, why not? I just forgot. It's like, go ahead. 29 will hit. Oof. Minimal damage is still 10. So I'll take it. But man. Yeah. OK. That is all I'm going to do for now. And yeah, that's it. Slit throw. The front now is a little crowded. So he is going to run off to the side. So he's going to break right. And he's going to fan that duster out. And he is going to draw this multi-shot mini crossbow. And he has an ability called dead eye. And he could do this three times before a long rest.

He gets to roll one ranged attack with advantage. If it hits, he gets to fan the hammer on this thing and do six crossbow bolts worth of damage. So it's an all or nothing type of thing. [HUMMING] 22 will hit. So he gets to do this six times. One, four damage. Two, three damage. Three, three damage. Four, six damage. Jesus. Five, four damage. And six, three damage. So he gets to just boom, boom, boom, like just over and over again. And he is so pleased with himself. And that'll be the end of Slitthroat's turn. Enforcer number one is Timothy. Timothy is going to roll up and get right next to Floss up here.

Target this baby. Swing. And roll a one. And roll on the table. Wow. Oh, no. Mentally scarred. So he runs up to this thing and stares into the void. This thing has spooked him. So now I got to roll a d20 and see what's going to happen to him. If he rolls high, nope, nope, nope. The things that you've seen you may never forget. Roll on the indefinite madness table. So please let him and Linda have the same thing. Holy shit. Because then-- He'd come over and be like, you know about it too, right? Yes. Oh my god, that would be so exciting. Holy shit. There's got to be a critical mass whenever we can actually be in the world.

This could happen. This poor guy. First swing in his first combat. It just-- It's a family guy. He's just a family man, just trying to make a living. Find the madness tables. I blame Cave. I mean-- Well, now he can qualify to work at the mine. This is what happens when Cave puts his faith in literally anybody is they immediately bore him. This is all Cave's doing. Cave brings this. I asked him to come with us. This is-- yeah, he could have been home with his family. Yeah. All right. D100. All Cave. 79. I am convinced that powerful enemies are hunting me and their agents are everywhere I go.

I am sure they're watching me all the time, so-- That's not actually madness. That's being alive. That's athlete. That's just working for Twin Oaks. He's got a job now. Enforcer number three. Well, fuck it. Let's sidle up next to this death kiss. Let's target. Come on. Here we go, baby. Yeah, crit one. And-- Whew. We're not going to roll on the table. Yeah, we're not doing this. OK, next round. Slit throat. Well, fuck it. If it ain't broke, don't fix it, right? Let's do that again. We'll drop a one to take an 11. 19 is going to hit. And a slew of damage. 3, 6, 3, 5, 4, 4, so wow.

At least-- OK. It would have been funny, but at least slit throat's not completely useless, right? Like, the enforcers are not enforcing much right now. I'm sure one of the enforcers yelled, where's he keeping all those arrows? Pouch. Like, I imagine he's just-- like, he's got some quick reload things, like pouch, pouch, pouch. Some stupid arrow clip he puts into his crossbow. Oh, yes. Some-- like, it's infinitely more complicated than it needs to be, but it makes a cool sound. It makes like a clink. It does a click clack, yeah. Yeah, it does a click clack.

Floss, you are up. OK. So yeah, he's just going to pinata this again. There's just nothing to it. 27 will hit again. All right. What? Minimum damage, still 10. Still, though. What? I know. There's a lot of ones. There's a lot of ones tonight. OK. Oh, god, I remember how Frenzy works. Do I-- Go to your abilities. Oh, you just hit three times. Maybe. All right, done. That's a round. Invoking that Frenzy. 16 is going to hit. Pinata. Oh. 19. 19, I'll take it. Floss is actually starting to-- if you can tell on his face, he is actually starting to grin. He's actually enjoying the weight of this hammer.

And it does feel kind of like a pinata, and he's really having a fun time. He will regret feeling that way later. Third. 23, that'll hit. 11. I'll take it, but still. It's still a lot of damage, but it feels disappointing. Very disappointing. Well, anyway. All right. There were so many other sides on that die that it could have been. And that's-- hmm. I think Floss is going to-- he's going to move-- well, he can't actually go through that. Never mind. He'll stay there. Done. Lind is up. OK. So there's not much to do now that I've done the one damage spell that I own.

So I think I'm going to go up in between Dr. Chapman and Cave. And I'm going to put my hands on both of their shoulders. And I'm going to say, remember, if you die, you just respawn. However, this is for just in case. That doesn't happen. And she's going to cast Enhance Ability. She's going to use Bear's Endurance, which is they have advantage on Constitution checks. And they get 2d6 temporary hit points, which are gone when the spell ends. So I think I actually have buttons to cast this. Nice. You're targeting yourself, just to let you know. Oh, my bad. There we go.

And we're going to do advantage on Constitution. And-- Oh, nine temp hit points. Thank you, Linda. And Linda's going to take her hand right off of Dr. Chapman's shoulder immediately as soon as she can. You know when-- OK. [LAUGHTER] You know when a woman's trying to send a message? No problem, buddy. Like, just trying to send that message. Cling, cling, cling. [LAUGHTER] That's what I was thinking about that. Because you're a Warforged now. But you're squishy, so do you just-- is it almost like a cosplay, where it's like, ooh, it looks like it's metal armor, but it's actually foam?

I think it would be hard, but not like metal. It probably wouldn't be like a carapace or something when you hit it, the sound it would make. But right now, I'm still wearing the bigger armor. Oh, right, right, right, right. Nobody knows yet, yeah. That's true. I just-- But it's a good question. It would be warm. You touched your metal armor. It would be warm. Your metal shoulder. So I hope this penetrates through all the layers. I'm going to use the word "tenetrate" in front of him. Yeah, I know. Yeah, that's-- don't ask if he's hard, either. Don't ask. He's just-- [LAUGHTER] I didn't realize.

No verbs or adjectives at all. [LAUGHTER] Enforcer number three. Sha-sha-- ah, he's going to swing. 17 is going to hit, guys. And he's going to do two damage. A lot of ones on damage tonight. A lot of ones. Cave. [LAUGHTER] He enforced. So Cave is like-- as much as he's like, hey, we got to kill this thing before it kills us, he's kind of given Linda the side eye for comments about respawning and whatever that was. And he's also looking at these enforcers. Like, these guys are 100% chumps. And like, what were we even-- like, we could already just be running everything right now.

Like, what were we worried about with these guys? What help did we think they were going to help offer us? But so he's going to-- he's just going to-- We're going to do, I guess, an Eldritch Blast. Why not? If it ain't broke. I have other options, but none of them are as good. So we're going to just be-- I mean, you're a warlock, sir. Yeah. [LAUGHTER] Which-- What you had to do was not take Eldritch Blast. Then you would have to use something else. Yeah, you made it forces you. I have two other attack cantrips that are just objectively worse than Eldritch Blast. [LAUGHTER] So why would I ever use them?

Anyway. So here's the attack. That's an 18. 18 will hit, yeah. OK, let's do some damage. 13. Hey, 13. That's the upper. The upper echelon of that D10. That's the higher half. Wow. And let's do it a second time. Ooh, 25. 25? We're on a roll, guys. There it is. OK. Well, 8. You know, 8 damage. It's fine. He's just yelling and firing his lasers. He's all good. All done. Chapman, you are up. Linda, watch this. Oh, no. And then he moves 20 feet forward. Not quite in range. So he's going to-- do I use dash or dodge at this point? I'm going to use dash to impress Linda and make it within range.

And that's the end of my turn. Watch this. It's very slow. Oh. Timothy is up. OK. Timothy has seen some shit. And he's looking shifty, or he's looking like, oh, my god. Like, there's the bush rustles behind him. Like, just, you know, is this Friends of the Enforcer? I don't know. But we're going to take a Scimitar Swing, sha-sha, and miss. Which leads us to Enforcer 4. Sha-sha. And miss. All right. Death Kiss's turn. So no one is restrained right now. So that's cool. Let's-- you know what? Let's grab the three Enforcers up front. Let's see how they go, you know? Is that all one move?

It's a multi-attack. It's one action. Yeah. I mean, good for us. If there's a Temuco going into Timothy, Floss would yell out, take me. [LAUGHTER] I'm into this. Enforcer number one. Boom! That'll hit. Oh, 16 damage still standing, though. But definitely restrained. That'll help them in combat. Enforcer number three. Tentacle. Yay! 18 will hit. Sha-sha damage. Oh, shit. That is 20 damage. That'll kill that Enforcer. Holy shit. And finally, Timothor. 20 will hit Timothor. Come on, buddy. 16 damage to Timothor. Timothor still alive, but restrained. That'll end the Death Kiss's turn.

Floss, round three, kicking it off. You are up. He's going to be completely-- he doesn't-- he's not going to phase him at all for any of the other knee breakers to get hit. But when Timothor takes any damage at all, you're going to hear, "Juu-ju-ju-ju-ju-ju-ju-ju-ju-ju-ju-ju-ju-ju." And then it's just going to be pummeling this thing like a pinata, as we keep saying. Here we go. Now's the time for a crit. 21 will hit. 13 damage. I'm going to keep going. It's just swing, swing, swing. 21 will hit. 15 damage? Jesus. 20 will hit. Ugh. Minimum damage is 10. What is with that?

Alright, that's-- I mean, for a round... That's a shitload of damage. That's not bad. Yeah. And Floss will just scream, "Timothor!" Timothor would say, "Yeah." Look, he's next to you. He's holding wounds, but just... Genuinely thinks you're just trying to get his attention. Linda! You are up. Well... Now that he's no longer whipped... Let's whip him again. Uh, he's going to fail. Yes! Okay. He gets... 36 psychic damage. That will kill the death kiss, ladies and gentlemen. Linda thinks she's invincible. Oh, Slitthroat was up next. And Jameson is right. He would have been insufferable if...

I mean, he's probably going to be anyway, but... I mean, he's... Yeah. So, as this thing, like, it kind of sputters and... And kind of gently floats to the ground and then just kind of... Almost like half deflates. Slitthroat is going to bring... Bring his crossbow up to his lips and gently kiss it. And then holster it back and then gently put the duster over it... Because it is a lethal weapon and he doesn't want to hurt anybody on his crew. So he's going to... He's going to put that away. And then he's just going to fucking stand there like he's... So, in the calm, immediately after this thing hits the ground...

And everybody is taking whatever moment to themselves that they need... Caves goes running up to the side of this thing that they just fought. And he goes, "Quick! Does anybody know what its parts are worth?" And he turns around and he's like looking at everybody being like... "There's got to be something on here we can sell." Meanwhile, all the enforcers are bleeding out. Two of them are fucking dead. Yeah, well, Chapman's on it. Yeah, one foot at a time. While this is going on with Cave, Chapman will probably immediately go to the injured and go like...

"Alright, lay down here. I'll get my stuff ready. I'll be right back. Just wait for me." "Timotho would be very grateful. Again, just to... Thank you! I really appreciate it." And then I will commence the getting out of the armor procedures. I opened a manual. So, five minutes is not a long time, but it must be excruciating when you're waiting for the doctor to... Like, it's like, "Okay. Yep, he's still crawling out. This is taking a while. I've never been tentacled before. It hurts!" Five minutes later, you're going to come crawling out of the back of this.

And out of there emerges this bulky, muscular warforged. And he kind of whips around this thick four-foot-long braid of hair he's got at the back of his head. Places back his hat at the front of his head. And he's just like this brand new model coming out of a bigger robot. Very bizarre. Why did you describe him as so fuckable? Like, that's... That's how you made me. I'm being drawn that way. [laughter] So, Kate is confused here because he looks to Floss, but Floss might not ever remember that he looks different than this. And then he looks to Linda, but Linda doesn't believe that anything is real.

So, Cave's like, "You know when you start to feel like you're the only sane person?" [laughter] I mean, their slit throat. He looks at Tenethor and slit throat, but they're like... They got their own shit they're dealing with. And he's just like, "Alright." [laughter] Alright. So, Floss would... He would pick up immediately that Cave was sort of disoriented. And he... "Mr. Cave, Mr. Cave, I know what you're thinking. I think it's going to be okay. I believe we can eat it. Yes." And he's pointing back at this deflated ball of whatever. And that's it. He's not gonna mention Chapman at all. [laughter] Oh, good.

Thank you. I appreciate that, Floss. Thank you. And he's gonna go compartmentalize whatever's going on with Chapman and return his attention to the ball there. Yeah. Slip throat's gonna come over and tap you on the shoulder. "Can I speak to you for a second in private?" "Is this the Cave?" "Uh, yes." He'll be like, "Ah. Yeah, sure, I'm not doing anything. Let's... What do you... Yeah, we'll step aside." "You know, just kind of gently... Yeah, yeah, yeah. Turn around." "I don't know how to tell you this, but... I don't think he gave you his best man." "Yeah, I think he might be onto something there.

There's a real good chance that we didn't have a lot to worry about from them. I appreciate your warning because I have been on my toes ever since. But these guys... You'll point specifically at the first guy who died. Just kind of lay in there. Like, I guess... I guess we're fine, right? I mean, the problem is we're about to raid a competitor of ours that could have used useful people. Present company, you know, excluded or included. However I meant that. You know what I mean." "Well, maybe we can use them as some sort of distraction." "Yeah, maybe. I don't know.

I'm really eager to get this behind us physically and literally. And then we can hopefully come up with a plan for the next thing. But you're right, maybe they'll just... Well, it's imperative to me that Timothor stays alive, but the other guy? Yeah, whatever. That's fine. But yeah, I mean, some combat training might be necessary. Do you think that's something that you might be willing to help them out with?" "I think I can help. And you were right to come get me. And he's going to just break eye contact with you and just kind of like stare off into the middle distance.

Like he's being filmed by a camera only he can see." "Cave's gonna do that thing. We can cut away from this for a second, but Cave's gonna do that thing where he like tries to look where he's looking. Alright. That's it. We'll strategize further." "In the meantime, Floss has been picking up the bodies of the Kneebreakers. There were two that died, right?" "Oh yes. Almost instantly." "Just quickly picking them up like kindling and putting them next to each other. And he's going to just walk over to Chapman and just sort of tuk tuk tuk on his shoulder and just be like, 'Dinner is served, sir.'" "He turns around to Floss and one of his bright orange gem eyes is gonna just wink at Floss and say, 'I'm not quite sure I know what you're talking about.'" "Me either.

No, I actually don't know what I'm talking about. But it is good to see you out of that thing and he's going to point over at the the the Benz armor. Again, importantly, he's not... You might as well be the same Chapman. He's not noticing any difference." "He just sees the hat. That's all he needs." "He's probably the hat. He just picks one thing." "And so he'll turn around to the two injured enforcers. Enforcer and the Mithor." "Alright lads. I'm known as Dr. Bell and I will be proceeding with the surgery. Now I don't want to waste too many of my good ingredients so it's probably gonna hurt and not heal all that much but you'll be fine with just a bit of rest." "And he proceeds to indeed not spend uses of his healer kit and just do the bare minimum to keep them stable and let them basically regain whatever hit point they can overnight." "Yeah, hit point would probably be...

We don't want to go plural with that one. It'll probably be one that they get back, something like that." "So I picture like in a sling just like... And the entire time Timaphorcer is going to look more and more like scared and just kind of like looking around constantly and every once in a while it's like, 'Do you think that thing has any buddies?' Like close by. We know it has buddies. But around here?" "Well, that's likely yes." "Are you okay?" He kind of snaps his fingers. "Stay with me, stay with me." "Look, I can't explain this to you but I'm on a list.

Alright, these things want me dead. And everywhere I go they get a little bit closer to killing me." He's gonna lean in. "I would make sure nobody here knows that you brought this on us." "Do me a favour, give me a persuasion check." "Sure, if that's what that was." "I mean... It's eight. Okay, that's... What do you mean? I didn't do anything to you. You invited me." "Perhaps. You're off the hook. For now." And he's distraught. Like, 'No, no, no, explain that!' But like, you know, just not gonna get an answer right now. So let me ask you guys a question. Is the goal to still go after Harman?

"Oh yeah, yeah, absolutely." So you want to pack up and keep moving? "Yeah, at the end of the day, we didn't expend much resources over this." "Yeah, no, you guys are fine." "Well, I believe, correct me if I'm wrong, but we were camping at the end of the travel day when this thing came on us, right?" "Right, so I pictured like, you're gonna, you know, get some rest and keep going." "Yeah, I figure we're gonna either bury or eat the two dead ones." "Sure." "Harvest." "Depending on who you are." "I'd like to actually make a roll to see if there's anything harvestable off of this dead beholder that Cave thinks is worth money at least." "And then I figure we'll camp here and keep going in the morning, and if we get to Harman's camp then we can start making a plan, right?" "So, do me a favor, give me survival check." "Do I have that?" "Eeeeee, can I argue for nature?" "Survival, okay." "You want to argue that this thing's natural?" "Snap, he got you there." "Well, okay, yeah, you know what-" "I'll give you Arcana!" "Alright, that's one better." "No." "No, that's fine, I'll do survival, that makes the most sense if I'm trying to cut something up. That's a six." "Oh, that was almost a fourteen.

What are these rolls? What are these rolls?" "Um, so, you're gonna vaguely kind of remember that it's like, yeah, yeah, these things, a couple of their organs are worth a lot as ingredients, so you're like, okay, well I can do this, I know some magic, and you're gonna cut open this thing and it's just gonna *fart noise* like a tauntaun, just splay its organs out." "It's gonna smell terrible. And you're just like, uh, squish? Like you're gonna reach in and try to-" "There's this kind of knobby, kidney-looking thing, but it's got hard protrusions on it, and you're not sure if that's a thing?" "And you're just kind of, it's just spiny and sticky." "I mean, I'll tell you exactly what happens, Cable cut it open and be like, 'That happens,' and he goes, 'No, never mind.'" *laughter* "Let us not go to bed a lot." "That was a bad idea.

Everything stinks now. I have to get rid of this axe." "So yeah, he's like, 'Ugh, I wish I hadn't done that,' and just forgets the whole idea." *laughter* "Oh man." "After that's done, and Chapman is done with the, sorry, Dr. Bell's done with the two other dudes, he goes to Cave, puts his hand on Cave's shoulder, kind of whispers to his ear." "But I think that the Mathur is a little more damaged than I can fix, so you better cut your losses here." "I don't think you'll ever be as good. Sorry." "So when you say 'as good,' what do you mean?" *laughter* "I love this fresh friend of yours that weren't your best friends or something." "I think you mentioned you wanted him to get married with Wen back at the camp.

I thought you had a thing going." "I thought he was nice. That was it. That was the whole thing. He just seems like a nice guy. I mean, what are you saying? We should just get rid of him?" "No, I'm just saying he might get a little difficult. I think the battle might have scarred him a bit. I just don't want you to think ill of him. It's not his fault." "Oh, okay. That's important to know. Yeah, you know what? We should probably, that's a good idea, we should probably have a chat with these guys before we go any further." "Now that we've kind of seen what they're made of, you know, physically and figuratively.

Again, he points over to the two dead ones." "Yeah, he's got like, he's holding a set of arms and legs like a bunch of geese that have their hunting by the neck." "You've been carrying that the whole time? Oh my god. Terrific." "Okay, so from where the two of them are standing, I don't know what Phos is up to, but Cave is going to look over to where Linda is and try to get her attention and kind of like do that whistle that I can't do where you don't use your, like, you know, one of these. Yeah, try to call Linda over. I don't know if she's like talking to the narrator or something." "She'll come over." "So they're kind of standing there just speaking in quiet tones.

He's like, 'So obviously these guys didn't work out to be probably the knee breakers that Clemado made them seem like they were. They're probably still helpful in helping us get into Harmon's camp. I was all ready to offer them a job and have them work for us instead, but I kind of feel like maybe that's not worth it. What are you thinking right now, Linda?" "Well, I think more people just on the outside looks better, so it looks like we have a big group of people, but what I still don't understand is why he sent these guys with us. Like, if they were, let's say, part of what Slip Throat thinks, they wouldn't have been able to kill us and take all of our stuff.

If they're what Clemado said and they're to be there to make sure that we do our job, they can't do that either. So I don't know if he thinks that little of us, or he just doesn't care in the first place?" "I mean, it could be that. It doesn't seem like a guy who doesn't care. I think maybe it seems like there's a lot of this going around, present company excluded, obviously, but there's a lot of stuff going around where people think they're a lot tougher than they are. I've been noticing that. So maybe Clemado thinks these are his best guys. Maybe they actually are his best guys and we don't have anything to worry about.

Maybe Harmon's guys are worse. Maybe they're just as useless. I don't know. I have no idea what to expect at this point. Everything that I thought was dangerous has been not dangerous, and everything I thought was going to be fine has almost killed us. So what do you guys want to do? I can't guess anymore." "Blas has been sort of flitting around, picking up firewood or something like that. I don't know. Just cleaning up. I don't know. Barely paying attention. And he's going to chime in just quickly, offhandedly. You'll forget that he was even there, but then all of a sudden you'll hear, 'I was thinking, perhaps we should be the mob.' And then he'll continue doing whatever he was doing.

He just threw that bomb in there and then walked away." "So I feel like there is a moment of silence after that. And the three of them who are kind of conspiring look at one another. And Cave's going to go, 'I think that's exactly what we should do.'" "Oh, I know. I know what's going to happen. Okay. Linda. There she is. She takes off her glasses. She goes, 'I'm going to pretend that this is a quote, but it's not. I'm just making it up, but pretend it's a really famous quote from a movie, so it's funnier.'" "Can you do that? Can you just like... Let's see.

Let's hold off. Let's see. Let's find out. Maybe she can." "So she takes her glasses off. She says, 'By God, that's genius.' Nevermind." "No, turns out you cannot do that." "She just says, 'Wow, floss. It's such a good idea.' And then she puts her sunglasses back on. And she walks away." "I think she did it. Realized it wasn't as good as she wanted. Puts back her glasses and pretends she didn't do it." "Cave just looks over at Chapman and says, with his eyes, he doesn't say this out loud, but says, 'Please be the same one here.'" "By golly, he's done it.

Isn't that a quote?" "I mean, someone in the world probably said that at some point, yes." "Do you think Doc Brown is British?" "Um, no. But maybe he says, 'By Jove.'" "Great Scott." "It's true." "Oh, well that's close. That's what I was getting at." "No, it's not. It's a totally different word in a totally different accent." "It's one of the most famous movie trilogies in the world. And I just..." "Great Scott. He's done it. And don't call me Scott." "No!" "Don't call me Scott. Oh my god." "Val is a walking version of the mashup memes where it's like Gandalf with a Picard quote and it says..." "Don't call me Scott, dude." "Guys, I think that's a good time for us to stop for the evening, because if I continue, well, I'm just gonna yell." "Just a little bit forward." "The next time we sit down, we're going into your finale.

And I don't know if that's going to be a two or three episode stretch, but we're going into it." "Ow." "And one way or another, we are, we're wrapping things up." "So when you said that's Arc 5 problems, it's pretty soon." "Well, we're almost done with your portion of the arc." "Are we fired?" "So we don't get to play it?" "No, no, no, no!" "You're getting the message, guys?" "I'm done with you is what I'm saying." "You're welcome to continue this campaign elsewhere." "Your show will now be picked up for another season." We really hope you guys enjoyed today's episode. Next week it's going to be a little bit different. We're going to be doing this cast round table thing.

If you follow us on social media or you're on our Discord, we asked you guys to send us questions, so we have a ton of those. We'll be burning through them and we'll try to get to every one of them. I already told you about the Kickstarter, you know that's coming. But something you might not know about is we've just added a bunch of new milestones on our Patreon. We're trying to build that back up. This last year obviously hurt us. It hurt everyone, so it's time to start rebuilding that thing. So as we build that back up, we're going to be unlocking new things, we're going to be trying some new stuff, and hopefully you guys will really like it.

So if you're curious, swing on by Patreon at patreon.com/dandr and let us know what you think. Thank you so much, we'll see you next week, but until then, good luck with your games.
