Smith and The Bourne Identity comes a new film. This your first job? I know what I'm doing. I'm late for a crit change. Starring Matt Damon. Everybody in New England is after us. And Casey Affleck. Go, go, go, go, go! What are you doing? Taking notes. Taking notes on a criminal conspiracy. The Instigators, rated R. Streaming August 9th on Apple TV+. Howdy everybody out there. Don't forget, August 28th. I know we've been harping about it, but we are very excited. It is our second Kickstarter setting book, and we are really trying to get this thing funded as quickly as possible, just to take the pressure off of us.
So, we want to hit our goal, hit stretch goals, and we're going to be streaming all day on August 28th. That's a Saturday. We're starting at 3pm Eastern, noon Pacific, and we're just going straight through. There are three big sessions with two groups. One side will be playing the Araca, one side will be playing the Arizar, and at the end they're going to have to fight each other, and you guys get to influence things along the way. Little bits of trivia, and then things that they get access to. One side's going to have a clear advantage, because we're going to be keeping track of who you're backing.
The Kickstarter's divided into two. You can support either army or just get everything, if that's what you want, but we're going to be keeping track of who's winning the war. And at the end of the Kickstarter campaign, we'll be throwing things into the book to show who won this Kickstarter. That's right, you get to influence the book as we write it. That's August 28th. Go check it out. The page is live right now. You can have a reminder set so the second we go live, boom, you get an email. The link is right below. Click on that. Hurry. Go. Quick, quick, quick.
So, let's hear a couple words from our sponsor, and then we'll jump right into a brand new Vanguard, which I think you'll like very much. Don't go anywhere, guys. We'll be right back. Let's do that thing where we go around the table and introduce ourselves. I'm Jace. I'm the Dungeon Master. Going around the table, start with James. Hey, it's James. I play Gaius Rean, the human druid. And Lisa. Hey, I'm here. That she is. And Ryan. [Laughter] Hey, everyone. I'm Ryan and I play Yegman, the gnome paladin. And Ian. Hi, I'm Ian. He/him. And I play Corvus Eben, the human cleric.
And last but certainly not least, Susan. Hey, I'm Susan and I'll be playing Jolný Ælvri, the quar artificer. So, everything went great last episode. Didn't receive any complaints. No one stopped listening to the show. It was great. So, uh... [Laughter] All fine. All good. You guys encountered some yetis. And everything was fun and games. We were describing their swaying yeti sacks in the wind. We got real deep into the game about the white genitalia. Yeah, I forgot about that. I'm a little disappointed. That's why they kicked our ass. I'm glad we went there, though.
I'm glad we explored that. I'm a little disappointed in the community. We got no fan art. Emily. I saw no discourse about it. I was like, "Really?" None. Everyone pretended. It was the low hanging fruit and it just went right by. Do we need to take this upon ourselves to do the art? I mean, I'll jump on MS Paint and I will. That'll be the tattoo. Yes. That's the cover up. [Laughter] Sadly, we lost a party member and man, they... I don't know. You slept with their wives or something because they were very unhappy with you. We're going to pick things up right after that.
It is getting dark. It's cold. It's kind of constantly snowing, but more than anything, the wind's picking up and you're going to catch the remnants of snow drifts. Just kind of, you know, it's almost scooping snow off the ground. A very powdered version of it is just like it kind of smacked across your face every once in a while. So it's more annoying than dangerous where you just like every couple of minutes you got to wipe your face off. Almost all of you are picking yourselves up off the ground. What's the first thing you're thinking of when you see these two dead yetis in their Gucci handbags?
What? You know what the best part is? I watched everybody in the call get a mental image. I watched it. Yes. So rare. I was thinking of them working the catwalk. Yeah. It's like really cool. Just swinging it. Yeah. Yep. Work, bitch. Yeah. I think Corvus is going to be like breathing heavy. He's sweating. He's bleeding. He's got his shovel smacked down into the snow and he looks at the only other person who's I think up with him, which is Yegman, and he just like gives him a solemn nod and immediately goes over to Vella and starts digging with his shovel. Yeah. If I remember right, Yegman was already kind of at Vella's side when we ended last time and making eye contact with Corvus, he's going to take out his training shovel that he was kind of using to kind of like mental Corvus and you know, everybody else is stabilized and we're just kind of waiting on them to start to wake up.
So it's going to help Corvus dig to steal a turn of phrase from Ian. If we pan this camera back, right, we have this we have this really somber scene if you just get silently digging and a lot of things are kind of normally oddly quiet. When it snows, it's it's kind of insulated. So the only thing you usually hear is like, you know, wind in the distance of wild animal when they're attacking you, which they often do. And then that crunch, crunch, crunch as you walk into the snow. But we've added a new sound to that, which is thousands of cats meowing, scared and confused because it just got way colder.
They have no idea what the hell is going on, and they've just kind of just kind of scattered and oozed out like they're like at first. It's like, let me run under a bush or something. But you have a hundred other cats jockeying for that exact position. So they just they're spreading out and gradually this sound is going to become a little less and a little less. And you'll hear that you'll hear them crest over a hill, like just that. Like a constant like. It's like. It's like someone remixed cats having sex in an alley. But there's hundreds and hundreds of them constantly, just long like all over.
And eventually, all these bushes and stuff like that are going to stop moving, which is just weirdness on top of what you've already. I got to come back to you, Ryan, about that, because I need to know what Yeggman thinks about terraforming a small hillock into living creatures that do not belong here. Yeah. You've clearly scooped something out from an alternate fairy and reality. Our own little what if, if you can if you can imagine it. What if Earth was cats like and that's what we have. So while you're digging, give me a little give me a give me a run down of like going to have to be more careful with that spear or that was cool or just cats like what?
So I think I don't think he was just solely focused. Like he had his blinders on. He was just solely focused on trying to survive, trying to make sure that as many people in his party survives. And then straight to like, oh, there's a death. OK, we need to take care of this. And like he knows it's happening around him, but he's not acknowledging it. It's not a threat. It's nothing that he needs to worry about right now. But as soon as like everything's taken care of, you know, of all his bodies in the grave and it's covered up, then the moment probably going to kick in of like what happened?
And then start to like second guess everything. And I don't think he's going to know that it was fully his fault. And if you were to so if you were to look around like nothing about this seems natural, like. Yeah. Picture like a like a hamster ball. So like a spheroid was taken out of the planet, like just like it is a perfect sphere. But the thing is, is that he's used this plenty of times before and nothing's happened. I'm not saying you would necessarily, but I'm saying it's like, yeah, this wasn't like a natural migration pattern for these black cats.
Like this was oh, no, he he definitely knows there's some like black magic shit going on like it. But I don't think he's equated it fully to the sphere that it's related to his actions yet. But I think like he's going to be cautious about that front and like if it happens again, then we may see some other course of action. But as far as right now, I don't think it's not going to change anything, but he's still very confused. Very, very confused. Before we lay Bella in the ground, Corvus will kneel down beside her body and just sort of like move her in a more dignified position.
And he's going to cast a spell. He's going to cast Speak with Dead. And a green light is going to sort of like emanate from his hand and sort of like cover the Bella's body in smoke, almost sort of like enveloping her before disappearing. And he's going to keep his hand on her and say very calmly and very quietly. Bella, can you hear me? Yes, I can hear you. Are you somewhere safe? Are you somewhere at peace? I'm not cold anymore. So that's good. I think I am safe. Is there anyone there to meet you or guide you or be with you? If I may? Yeah, please. I was like, I don't know much about Therian beyond the grave.
Well, we're under new management right now, so, you know, we're currently repositioning some things, you know, shuffling things around. It's a time of flux. So what it looks like is a few humans actually would have spoken to Bella just to kind of like... It's almost like an orientation. Hey, normally there's a process for all this, but we're going to ask that you come with us and they're setting something new up. And then when they're done, you know, you're going to be part of that. Not... There's no ambiguity of that. Like, oh, it might go to hell. It's like, no, no, no, you're fine.
You died fighting yetis. That's, you know, you were relatively good. You're fine. Thank you. It's kind of weird. Like, it's a very... It's a very bureaucratic kind of thing where you're like, what is there, a fucking waiting room? Like, what do I do? So it's kind of weird, but they're reassuring you that it's like, yep, no, we've been told. It's a complete restructuring. It's really weird, but like, we're excited too. Okay. So knowing that, the question was, is there somebody there to meet you or to guide you? They're different. But yes, there's somebody here.
I think I'm going to be okay. Corvus will put his head to his chest and say, that's good. That's good to know. We really need to get back to the city and we don't have a lot of time. I want to bury you here. Is that okay? That's fine. Will you tell my family how I died? I can if you want. Who should I tell? My real name is Vella Thunderhorn. My family lives in Thunderspire. I think this will have finally been an honorable death for them. I've never been to Thunderspire, but I will make sure that word is brought to your family that you feel you died honorably.
And that you're okay. I want to take your cloak back to the city. It may be of some use to us still. Are you okay with that? I have no use for it now. What's mine is yours. I appreciate that. And I think the others will too. I'm sorry that I couldn't help you better and I couldn't defend you better. Oh, don't. I'm okay. It's okay. I love you guys. And I think everything's gonna be okay out back here. We'll miss you, Vella. We wouldn't have survived this without you, I think. And we'll see each other again. Goodbye. Bye now. And then he'll end the spell. And as far as I know, anyone that was listening could hear that it's like literally a corpse talking.
Yeah, it's creepy. That was gonna be my follow up question. Like with the Eggman standing there, how much does he? Oh, yeah, you're okay. So yeah, I like gently take her cloak, her like magical cloak, and any helpful provisions or anything like that, and wrap them up in my things. And then I nod to Eggman and to signal like, "Can you help me lift her body into the grave?" And then we put down. As you're removing the cloak and kind of being ginger with everything, you're shaking the smell out of it and stuff because it's, you know, it was on the ground.
And as you do that, the cloak coming back down, something is going to catch it and kind of yank it out of your hands and ball up on the ground. And the whole thing is just kind of like vibrating, like shivering. What? To paint a picture, it's this little cloth ball, basically, like it looks like someone's swaddled a baby and then threw it in the snow. Like you should. No, I'm done. Damn. Don't do that with babies. It's probably bad for them. All things considering, this is surprising, but maybe the least strange thing that Quervas has seen in like the last 24 hours.
So he like, obviously he sort of like gives away, like just lets it go out of his hands. And then as it quivers in the snow, he just sort of like, like gives Yegman like a quizzical look and then bends down to it to see if he can like see if there's something inside of it. Oh, yeah. If you start to like reach your hand out, Yegman's going to speak up of like, no, no, no, no, no, no. He's going to try to grab something and poke it. Like, don't don't touch it with your hand. We can poke it. I have this shovel of spreading. That I do. What do we know about this cloak, though?
Like, this is the one Bella bought and still owes money on, right? Yeah, this is the spider cloak. And do we know what it does or did she only know what it does? Spider stuff. Yeah, no, you guys were in the shop. You knew what was up. Yeah, OK. Also, Bella was absolutely the type of person to tell every single person in the party what that cloak did. Make me fall for something, guys. Check it out. Like, it's. I just look over at Yegman and say, it's OK, Yegman. I'm I'm not afraid. OK. I'm going to stay quiet, like I think he's still mentally processing a lot of stuff right now.
There's a lot to process. So you probably have to tug on a corner of this because it's it's it's like wrapped up in the and all this cloth is like bunched up on the ground. So if you you tug at this, there'll probably be a little bit of resistance. But pulling up a little corner of this, you're going to see this tiny. Yeah, tiny what? Oh, oh, tick. Oh, tick. I heard T with a T. I was kind of thinking it was just a bunch of spiders. Oh, wouldn't that be great? Don't worry. I'm not afraid. Yeah. I was wearing that. You really should be welcome to be on. Oh, sweet.
Whatever it is, we're dying, basically. So I got a sorry I got I had to close the program is giving me a bunch of notifications like, well, that audio is not useful. So if you if you bend down and you kind of tug at one of the corners here, give you a little bit of resistance and then you peel back the flap, you're going to see this tiny wet furry cat face. But like, clearly not a cat. Like you saw a bunch of black cats. This is well, it's kind of like it's it's it's it's like nothing you've seen before. But like it's clearly humanoid. Like it said, it's a humanoid cat, but not like that.
Like a not like a lion folk, not like an Araca. It's much smaller, like if the lion folk had gnomes kind of like that. OK, so where is it like maybe like two feet or is it like even tinier? It's it's let's classify it as small. Got it. OK, it's something I could pick up in my arms. You probably should. But yes, you got to. So like, here's the thing. If you if you if you look beyond the face, they're clearly wearing clothing. Oh, OK. Yes, they're it's a it's a humanoid. It is a person. Clearly, like upon first look, it's like, oh, that's weird, but, you know, not the weirdest thing like.
And they're they're clearly just like wet and cold and shivering like this is not a pleasant time. I like look at it like, OK, now this is weird and maybe a little afraid. We're all around this thing at this point. Yeah. Right. Yeah. Yeah. I I say hello. You got a pet. Who are you calling a pet asshole? Oh, I'm so sorry. Who who are you? Who are you? And where am I? It's fucking cold here. Why were you in our friend? What? We were moving some stuff you dropped out. No. Yes. No, I was home with my clowder and like all of a sudden this thing gets torn off of me and I'm looking at you and it's fucking cold.
And I don't know why I'm wet or how I got here. I'm sorry if this is rude, but did you come with the cats? I don't know. Huh? OK. Yeah, I'm going to take off like one of the furs and cats and like wrap it around this thing. Guys, guys will kneel down and use produce flame. To kill it. Basically, right on space. You don't want to be wet in these parts. But hi, I'm Corvus Eben and I'm from Alara in Theria. He/him. What's your name? And where are you from? I'm Prata. I'm from Theria. I'm from Alara. Oh, where? So it's right about here where you guys are exchanging information.
It's like, oh, OK, cool. Common ground. So it's like, oh, I'm from Theria. I'm from Theria. So after about the fourth or fifth try, it's like, I don't know any of those places. Like, you know. Yeah, I look at the group like I never heard of those, but I'm not particularly well-traveled either. Yeah, I think it's going to shrug and just go, hello Prata from Theria with the cats. I am Yegman. Like, try it like not trying to like be insulting or anything, but it's like that's the only thing he can put together. And as odd as this is for you, it's equally as odd for Prata because probably never seen a choir before.
I can guarantee that. It's like, and what is that? Like just humans or gnomes or anything? Yeah. So you guys must be really cold with no fur. That's probably what she's thinking. She's like, I've got some fur, but like, I'm wet. By the way, good use of the word cloud. Thank you. I looked up what a group of cats was called. Nice. I had no idea what that meant. I thought it was some type of machine. You fly with clouds or something? No, when I was like making up the two options, I was like, what would her what would her clan be called? A clouder. Yes. Nice. I like those details.
Do we get a general idea of like where she might be? She said Alara, so at least we know that. Yeah. And I mean, where it starts getting weird, like you expect something alien. Like, it's like, where are you from? I'm from Klornak 9. Like, it's like you expect something weird. And then, you know, she starts, it's like, there it's. Oh, OK, cool. OK. Alara, cool. And it's like, oh, I'm from Gallic. And like, there's like it's a bunch of fucking towns and cities you've never heard of. And it's like, OK, could you describe them? And the descriptions are more steampunky than like.
Than than what you're used to. It's like less magic, more machine. So it's just really weird. Like none of that seems to add up. So Yalna has been like not standing because she doesn't have enough. She's just not well enough to hold herself up yet. So she's like sitting next to everybody, but she still towers over everybody, even sitting. And she's wrapping herself up, listening to the singing and all. And I believe. You come from an alternate version of our reality and your spear dragged her here. I did what? I told you that that spear taps into other parallel realities.
I believe you pierced the veil and brought Prada through. He's not that talented. It's not a matter of talent. It's what that spear does in a specific situation. And we met the criteria for that situation to bring Prada here. It is just a pleasure to meet you, Prada. I apologize under these circumstances. So wait, wait, wait, wait. So there's a Theria that's full of cats. Well, maybe they're not cats. Prada, what do you call yourself? My people are called Tabaxi. Those are cats. And she will gesture. You can literally point in any direction. There's one sitting right next to us.
OK, so you know what a cat is. That's good. I was in the forest, you know, tracking, you know, some prey with my with my family. And then I was here. And I'm sorry, I called you guys assholes. No problem. That's understandable under the circumstances. Now that she's warmed up and she's a little less wet, she might be a little nicer, but still weird. Can if you she's going to turn to Yegman, if you brought me here, can you send me back? Ah, he's not that talented. I think a blank stare and like face slowly turn over to Yegman. The potential in that sphere is there.
I don't personally know how to tap it. Tap into that power. Perhaps upon research. We can ascertain a way. I can say at the very least, I'm not using that sphere. The cats was OK. Maybe once we know what and how to do something. But I was just I said I stabbed the Yeti. That's all I was trying to do. Do you have magic where you're from? Is that is that a concept you understand? Yeah, I mean, not a lot of it. You know, it's not very common. I can do a little magic, but I'm it's pretty rare. OK, gotcha. So I think what Yegman is saying is he used a lot of magic and a lot of magic that he didn't understand.
So we don't know if you can actually go back. Yeah, what he said. She's just going to like. Just kind of look at the ground. Well, I guess before we do anything else. So we got to get back to the city. We need to get out of here. We also have to decide if the two kids are worth going after. But now we also have to send. Find a way to present product home. Yeah. So about the about the demigods. I got something that I should probably tell all of you. And I was trying to process things and just sort of, you know, do one thing at a time. But then we got attacked and Bella died.
And I'm worried that I may not get another chance to. And I realize this is not a good time to to dump this on you. But I, I, I, I don't know if I'm going to have the opportunity to do so again. So the gods don't exist anymore. They aren't around. They've changed. Everything about them has changed. Absolutely. Everything is different. And you might be cool with that, guys. I don't know. Jelena, maybe you as well. But yeah, they're gone. Everything is gone. The afterlife is totally different. There are none of the none of the magic that we tap into are the same.
And I'm sorry, Yegman. But that armor that you're wearing, that's that's to keep you alive for ever because you have to tell everyone about this. You have to be the messenger of this and be the harbinger and let everyone know that everything has changed. And that's just the way it is. And that sucks. And I know it sucks. And I feel really shitty about it. And I didn't get to meet the Raven Queen. And that sucks. And she's gone. And Yegman got to meet the god that he worships. And I didn't even get to see her. And everything is different. And things are changing about me.
And how will I even know if I'm doing a good job if she's not there? And now we have this new... Corn. Corn. Corn. Breathe. OK. All right. Let's sit down and like like hand on like attempting to be as close to your shoulder as possible, like trying to force you down a little bit. And as soon as you start to sit down, Yegman still standing. Yegman is probably like kneeling because that's probably closer to like eye to eye level. I need you to back up a little. Which part? Like maybe all of it? Who told you about all this? I don't know. I just know. Is this what you were kind of freaking out about earlier of like...
Yes! You know everything? OK. Um. We just saw them. I know, but they're not them anymore. But we had deals. I know. And he like grabs his little medallion of the Raven Queen around his neck. And he says, I don't know what if whatever contracts they're bound to or why they couldn't meet these demigods, but things are totally different now. I don't even know. I don't even know if those people are demigods anymore. I don't even know if whatever the gods are now care anymore. It's all changed. Yegman's jaw is going to drop a little bit. He's going to kind of... Kind of tilt his head back and start to fall a little bit and kind of like catch himself a little bit.
And then he's going to slowly kind of pan over to Gaius. But we were supposed to see... At least have a conversation with Nami and your kid. That's... Gaius, he's clearly, you know, upset over this news, but he's not going to... He's going to say, no, no, no, no, that deal's still on. You show me that they're not here anymore. Otherwise, I have to keep going. I don't know if I can show you, but I know that the... The miracles that we cast, Yegman and I, they don't feel the same. They aren't the same. We're not drawing from the same power. It's not the same entity.
And... They're not the same people. They've merged with the demons. Remember when we were talking to them about that? They were kind of doing a survey to see how that sounded. It happened. Yegman falls the rest of the way back. Now he's like fully laying down in the snow. The things we got from the gods. Can you explain those again? Are we talking about the card stuff we did? The necklaces. Ah, those. So those were... They tied directly into who you worshiped the most, right? And they were more a good luck charm than anything, but... You couldn't invoke it or something like that?
It wasn't a burner phone. You couldn't hit them up afterward. There was a little bit of magic in there, right? It's kind of a reassuring, "Oh, we're around." So a magic in it specifically to... To kind of give you peace of mind. So would there be a way of telling if these things are now null and void? Like with an arcana check? Give me an arcana check. You feel less calm. Not not calm, but less calm. How do you mean though? That wasn't clear? No. Not anxiety. Yeah, like it's... There's this creeping thought in the back of your head that's like, "What if he's right?
What if there's nothing there now? What if it's different? What if it's complete? What if... What if it's a new ideology that I just can't get on board with? What if it's... It's this... The more you think about it, the less at peace you are with the entire thing. Maybe it's a placebo effect. Maybe whatever. But the more you think about it, the less calm about the situation you are, and the less you feel like... Your god is watching you. I don't even know who I'm supposed to be devoted to anymore. And Yegman, you have the worst fate of all. You are destined to tell the world and make the world know this.
You are the harbinger of these new gods. You're not gonna hear a response from Yegman. Yegman just... He's laying there quietly. If anybody is able to see his face, he's tearing up. I think Gaius feels kinda gutted right now too. He'll go over to Yegman and share with him. Well... What do we do now? I think the first thing we do is get back to the city. We bury Vella and we get back and we let them know where these demigods are. We can start there. There's still not gonna be any response from Yegman. Normally, pointing in a direction and rounding everybody together, that's kind of his thing.
I stand from sitting in front of Yegman and put my hand on his shoulder. To help him move in the direction. He'll move, but you can definitely tell. It's not like you made contact and he freely goes and moves on his own. He's relying on you to persistently push him to get up and start moving. Not hard, but he needs that little bit of initiation to start to move. I push him right into the grave and I bury him! Alright, random character it is. Gonna head back to Saun. Saun, that's the name. I kept calling it the city. The good thing is it's the only city here.
Very little confusion. I just had a thought. I know this is a very touching moment, but at some point, Yellin is gonna be like, "Can I have that spear?" Just like, real quick. Yeah, and it's like no reaction from Yegman other than the fact that he grabs it from his back and hands it over to your direction. Doesn't look, doesn't say anything, just hands it over. And the only reason why I wanted to do that now is because Yalna wants to just like... The last magic that emitted from this spear. She wants to take note of the flavor of it or the feel of it. Because she thinks that'll be integral to possibly getting our new friend back to their home.
Give me an Arcana check, let me see. Because that's your wheelhouse, that's, you know, you know armor and weapons and junk. Yeah, and me, I'll take 15. I think that's above average. It is. So, here's the problem. The amount of random shit that can happen with this is so vast. Like, let's say that we're just using a D100 roll, and every single one of those is a different reality. One of my ideas is to make a book just about the different realities of it. We just have to submit it. Doesn't matter. Doesn't matter. No point right now. More books! I'll write it right now.
I wonder what the tables are like in those realities. Up side down, that's right. Some of them only speak cat. So, it's really hard to get a flavor profile, let's say. But you're picking up a few ingredients. You're like, "Ooh, there's some bell pepper." Like 75% because that's what I rolled out of 20. I think, yeah, like a good 75. It's like, okay, I think, like, if there's a spectrum, like a wavelength of power, like you're narrowing it down, it's like, okay, it's somewhere in here, so at least that eliminates a good portion of the search. But it's really tough to pinpoint.
Yeah, not necessarily trying to recreate it right now, just whenever we get to the point where we could really sit down and study this, maybe almost surrounded by other people in our culture who are well versed in magic. The last thing you want to do is, like, send Prada to a different reality that isn't theirs. Because the next one might be all gators or some shit. It might be Florida. Like, we don't want to send Prada to Florida. It's just one big swamp. Oh, God, what's that show where that guy jumps realities all the time? Quantum Leap. Quantum Leap, baby.
We're going to have a Quantum Leap on our hands. Oh, man, I want that to be a campaign. Can we do that as a campaign? Well, we have this spear. Yeah. That'd be so cool. Lisa, do you want your cloak back, by the way? Um, I don't think it would fit her very well. It would drag on the ground quite a bit. Yeah, no. I thought you might be able to get it resized or something, I don't know. Honestly, I don't think she'd have much need for it. Because Prada has, you know, she's got, like, leather armor, like, leathers on and stuff. So I don't think she'd really have need for a cloak.
Although, if you cut her off a small swath of that, like, that fur that we were carrying, that would probably be good for, like, sleeping in. I throw, I hand it to Prada and say to keep warm if you need it. It's a little big, but, um, could bundle up layers. Thank you. She's slightly embarrassed now that she freaked out, because she's like, "Well, that served no good." Okay. Yeah. Well, Gaius will go up to Prada and say, uh, "Well, um, sorry you got pulled out of your north area, but your best bet right now maybe would be to just stick with us. It's up to you.
But we're going to a city where there's more smart people like her, Point Ayana, and probably the best place for you right now for figuring out a way to get you back." Yeah, that'd be great. I can, you know, help hunt and stuff, though. You know. I'm not, you guys don't have to carry me or anything like that, but, yeah. Like, um, mice and stuff? She will look at you like, just like the narrow cat eyes, like, "No." Man, how racist is that to their people, though? Like, I'm wondering, like, on a scale of, like, like, just, man, like, I'm just saying a Dragonborn.
Like, if you compared them to, like, you mean like a Kobold? They cut your fucking head off. Like, so, I don't know, I guess, I guess Prada takes it in stride. It's fine. I'd like to think she's like, I'm assuming that was just an innocent question, because she's like, "No, no, I, I hunt all form of animals. Especially giant birds, you know, for my, for my Clowder. We, I'm just, I'm used to tracking and hunting and I feel like if you guys need help with that, I can help." I keep saying that word. I don't know what it means. Clowder. She'll just kind of like gesture to everybody.
Group. Oh, oh, oh, I understand. Thank you. Thank you. I understand now. Oh, what do you call you guys? Um... Uh, group. [Laughter] Okay. Normally, I would have to ask you guys for a role for travel, but we're not doing that, because the worst possible thing, well, the sub worst possible thing already happened. So what we're going to do is we are going to bring up the map for you guys. Shazam. It's coming. We're going to get you guys, we're going to get you guys back to Saunt. And I got to imagine, even though, okay, timeline wise, you haven't been gone that long.
But man, like a lot has happened to you guys. So we're going to get you back into the city and we're going to travel down that tunnel system. We're going to get you on the other side. You're going to open up again over the city that ring that kind of lets you overlook things. It's almost like an aquarium for people. And this is probably a, it's different. It's a different set of construction rules for everybody in the party. They're not used to seeing this except, of course, for Jelna. But I got to imagine Prada has really never seen anything like it because it's all magic shit.
Like it's like, the elevators are magic. It's weird. Yeah, I imagine if like she's on the elevator and it starts moving down, she just like flattens. And she's like, what are we doing? It is an elevator. What? We are moving down. Is this magic? And she's going to look at Corvus. He like shrugs and nods his head yeah. It's safe. We're safe. Yeah. Just curious about the flooring. [Laughter] So again, you remember they have, probably to the outside world, somewhat unsettling tracking technology. So when you guys get back here, Jelna's dad is going to be like, boom.
Like just, it's like, welcome back. Like, concerned. But again, handshake. [Laughter] Oh, I'm so glad you made it back. We were worried there might have been some hardship. On that note, Yegman keeps walking. Oh. Like walks right past and goes, like he's going back up into the room. Oh, oh, no. He's had enough of this convention. We're all in there. I get it. So like, is this like a, like a cold shoulder thing or just disconnected? Like totally disconnected? Just completely disconnected. Like he basically is like, he's been looking down, like pretty much at his feet.
And using his peripheral vision of just like, okay, well, there's, there's Yana, there's Corpus, there's guys. Like just following the footsteps of his group. And then, you know, acknowledging that he got the sant, but then like, oh, we're talking to someone. And then that sentence of like, oh, well, we were afraid that something would have happened. He's like, all right, I'm done. Oh, yeah. And Yana will watch him leave and then turn to her father and say, unfortunately, we did meet with misfortune. I probably immediately after saying something, going to start scanning the party.
It's like we're missing someone. Oh, no. Like kind of like a faux pas has occurred. I'm intensely sorry. That was foolish of me. I should have waited until I understood fully. There's there's another there's another man here. And this is the first time I think you've seen a quar. Do you know how you can look at someone in life and just tell it's like you don't have your shit together, like you just kind of like you assign that to them. It's like, tuck your shirt in like your buttons are all misaligned. Like you got one extra one down here. Like there's something about them that it's like this like.
Like the hair is kind of unbraided, like but like kind of braided, but like not like it's not tight. It's not like it's just there's just something about this person's like, oh, are you OK? Like that, you know, this is the first the first I was almost I was almost going to say Sontian, but that's weird. I don't like that. But this is the first person in the city that maybe looks like not unwell, but just looks like they're. They've been out on the road for a long time and they're going to they're going to step forward and pull you on it into a big hug, big hug.
And then like kind of like pull back and have had their hands on her shoulders like, you OK? I really seem like things were fucked up out there. You're right. I have seen better days, dad. Oh, yeah. How you guys doing? And get a point to everyone else. We look awful. Yeah, I know. Orvis does. He's like has eight hit points. Holding on an arm like just. And then you all know it's going to get her buried. Oh, this is my dad. Vidan. He's OK. He's going to lean in and kind of give you one of those like a handshake that pulls into into like a nice like tap tap hug. It's like so how how hot is he so we can know how hard Corvus blush is.
Well, OK. I think that's a question for Susan. Like like is this OK? Here's the thing. Is this. Unkept by by quar standards, like or is it kind of like a sexy disheveled like, you know, I got the you know, like. He has too many things going on to worry about it. Like he has like a million projects going on. So I think it's a sexy disheveled. OK. I'm glad you said that, because now I feel targeted by this character. I related to everything except sexy disheveled like too many projects and scatterbrained. That's not fair. But it's only because of senseu senseu makes sure that he has his shit together.
So that that. So that you know what it is? It's he's got that exotic flavor. You know what I mean? Like it's like, oh, I've never dated a quar before. Like it's you know what I mean? Yeah. Corvus blushes real hard, diverts his eyes down the floor and then sees that he's not wearing shoes and he's got weird alien feet and then blushes even harder and just like turns to Prada and. Huh. You came in because you. Oh, yeah. Yes, I'm I'm fine. Hey, how about we get you patched up? No offense, you look like shit. So let's let's let's let's get you all cleaned up and get some food in your bellies.
That's not good. OK. What do you guys eat again? Oh, right. They don't remember. Oh, they took a stab at it. They almost got lean over to her father since you feel like and then look down at Prada and then whisper. Do not serve the cat this time. Remember, there are three. Oh, my God. So that's a good host right there. That is a you know what, man? A lot of bad stuff has happened to cats in this arc. I don't I don't know what happened, guys. I did not sit out with this vision in mind, but. So then on would kind of look. I got a little thing I've been working on.
It's just it's just it's just like a quick bite thing. It's got a little cheese, a little meat, and there's this little dough, pal pouch thing. And I just pretty much just fire. Just hit it with fire. You all know it's going to look embarrassed, even though Susan, I know this sounds good, but you all know it's going to look embarrassed because she doesn't she's like, oh, God, I'm calling it a warmth pocket right now. We're workshop in the name, but we're going to find something that that that sticks to it. It's real quick. Let's me get back to work. It sounds like you could take it anywhere.
I'm working on this other thing where you have like these little these little dough things cut in half and then you put the same ingredients on top of it. And you could literally have it anytime when it's on this thing. I haven't come up with a name for that, though. Yeah. Yeah. You almost could be like, we've had it in the morning for breakfast. For supper. What about literally anytime and only 90s kids will. So, so yeah, just kind of like clamp a hand on on Corvus is back. Yeah. Come on, buddy. Let's let's let's get you all. Let's let's let's let's man. He just he he like, oh, like, like knocks the air like coming out of his lungs.
But he stumbles in whatever direction this handsome man is taking him. He almost goes, I just want to lean over to guys real quick. I'm so sorry. I tried to warn you. For me. Sounds fantastic. And she's going to give him a shock look. And then she's going to like, settle it in her head that like, oh, he's just trying to be nice. It's deeply embarrassing to our people. Just just like, I love him so much. Oh, my God. Guys will tap Corvus on the shoulder so that he turns to look at him. Look at me. Look at me. Think of it as a palate cleanser. Because guys isn't the most handsome man.
And obviously saw what was going on. He's got a massive wood. He does have massive wood. Easy there. So as you guys are walking through the place, picture almost a scene from like men in black. Right. Because you have all these people walking around this this space age, you know, clean, white, pristine place. And there's going to be a bunch of white dragonborn just kind of walking like single file like they're they're they're moving around. And they're going to be like, hey, big man, what's up? Like just like just very congenial, very nice. He'll try to fist bump them if if they if they allow it.
I know that's only for bards, but like he really likes the greeting. There's just something about it. So they they they definitely did finally take your advice. And they they came to Saunt. Oh, my goodness. Yeah. They're here. So just a bunch of big, burly, sexy dragonborn walking around. Just Corvus turns to. Yeah, literally. What's what was what was your dad's your other dad's name? Since who is the reserved one and be great. Happy go lucky. Again. So the entire time, like since who's like he's he's reserved about it, but you can tell. Like, not OK. Now it's because, oh, we have visitors and you're you're acting like this.
I feel like you're going out of your way to greet them and touch them. What are you doing? Like, just please don't don't do this. They're going to have a conversation when they get home. Right. Corvus asks, be done. He's like, when did the dragonborn arrive? Did they did they all come? Was there an older one with them? Was there was there someone named named Nad among them? Do you know where is that? Oh, who are you asking? Yeah. OK, so I haven't learned all the names yet, but I'm going to get on it. Don't worry. So, yeah, there was an old old lady kind of kind of loves her chair.
So we had to bring that through, which was complicated because we didn't have like a system set up for for the chair. So like three or four of us had to kind of come and help pick up the chair. And it was a thing. So, yeah. And I don't know anyone named that, but I can ask around. I think they said all of them came. They're kind of grumpy about it, though. So careful about asking them. That's great. Yeah. If you could ask about that, that would that's good. No reason. Do you want to like if I find them, do you want me to just send them to your room? That's because I know that's where you're staying.
Like, it'd be easy to like just like I don't have to go looking for you if you don't look you don't mind. Yeah. OK. Yeah. OK. Yeah, I'll get on it. Have a warm pocket. I'll be back. Warmth pocket sounds dirty. Yeah. Let me slide into that warmth pocket. I bet Corvus has a warm pocket for Ned. For some odd reason, the word that comes to mind is moist. Yep. Yeah. Yep. Is it? Yeah. Yeah. Unfortunately, I guess it would have to be again. We're going to workshop it. We're going to find something, though. I'm feeling a new recipe for the new book. That's what I'm. Yes. I turn to Yolna and and I say, we've got to let everyone know about the children of Kord.
We have to get everyone on the same page about that. Yolna will nod. I will let my dad's know. Since my father, since you was in charge of this expedition, he'll relay it to everyone who needs to know. And I hope you all don't mind. And she's going to speak up that I sleep at my house this evening. I have quality time I must spend with my parents. So. Oh, Yolna will relay everything over the course of the evening, like I almost died. Yeah, I'm OK. Demigods, gods. Why though? Dragonborn are here. Although they already probably told you like. Just info dump. Yeah, I the Dragonborn thing, they'd be caught up on at least.
Yeah. And I feel like like you'd get a good response out of Aedan for like the god stuff. But I think a lot of it is so they take such an academic view of it. It's like, oh, OK. Because to them, it's almost like you're saying it's like, hey, you know that thing we didn't really believe in? Well, now it's a whole different set of stuff we don't believe in. So it's like it's like, OK. It's like it's like someone telling you an in-depth thing about Twilight. You're like, I've never watched it. Don't care. But OK. I'm glad you're happy. Like, you know. Yeah. And and the way I have Aedan and Senzu, Aedan is very technical and like mechanical.
So he's probably like whatever. But Senzu is very philosophical. So he's probably like, oh, I wonder how this is going to affect the cultures across Zeria. Like and Yalna, same. She's like, whatever. But I wonder how this will affect everyone's magic. Like, hmm. And they probably get into debate over the course of the evening about it. So how about everyone else? How are you spending the evening here to kind of relax, unwind? Let's say let's say you got patched up to the best of everyone's ability now and you're just you're weeping over it. But like hiking in the snow and then you come home, it's like, oh, now imagine you've been doing that for days and days and you've been fighting yetis.
So what do you guys do to relax here? I don't know. I mean, I think with the news of the gods and that, I think Gaius is probably going to have a very introspective evening just sort of thinking about what his next move is, really, because this whole mission was based on something that's not going to happen anymore for him. Probably not too happy about that. Really sad. And, you know, I don't know, I'm thinking like meditation or something. He's got to figure out in his head what he needs to do. I think that's fair. To be honest, I think Prata would be doing the same thing, too, but like on a different scale, because like, if we're going ahead and back to the rooms, that's probably where she'll stay, because like her literal entire world has been up, you know, rooted.
So she'll probably just like find like a corner or a pillow or something and just kind of lay down. And, you know, the thing that cats do when like their tails just like twitch, you can tell like they're bothered about something. But like, you know, that's probably what she's going to end up doing and just kind of watching if people are like walking, but like just sitting there thinking again, also introspection. What about Yegman? Because Yegman, pardon the phrase, pretty fucked up right now, like going through it. Yeah. Yeah, to say the least. I mean, I don't even know how much he kind of cleaned up.
Like, I'm kind of seeing it as the thing of like, you know, you got back from a tough day at work. You know, you went through your door, you went straight to your bedroom and you just flopped on the bed. Oh, and like it it's probably because if I remember right, you know, we we basically like had like a commons area and then everybody had their like rooms off of that commons area if we went back to the same area. Well, Yegman would have went back to the same area regardless. But it's probably like as soon as he starts to get close to his room, like just starts shedding off some of his armor.
And as everybody else starts to come in, the doors closed. But there's just like pieces of armor and maybe like a javelin or two, a war pick, like it's just like. Just almost carelessly dropped or tossed on the ground on the way to his room. And if anybody was to peek in the room, he would just be face down in the mattress. And I think he's just. Trying to. Conceptually bring it all in when he's not right, his crown in the box. Yes, I think he's just trying to figure out, I think more than anything else, just trying to comprehend it. I knew this was going to like ruin you like I just knew it.
But like he doesn't see this as like Corvus's fault or anything. Like to him, and this is the frame of mind that he's going from, it is the thing of like. Well, this is this is the hand that he's been dealt. What does this mean? And like, what are all these pieces now? You know, because he's went through a bunch of shit in his lifetime and then now it's like, OK, well, this is the next thing. So like he's not mad Corvus or the rest of the party at all. I think Corvus really wants to have a talk with with the Eggman, but for now, he's like letting him have some time to process.
And he is. Like bleeding and bruised and wounded and running around, running up to random Dragonborn and being like, do you know that? Have you have you seen Nadd at all? You know where his whereabouts might be? And just like seeing if seeing if anyone knows where he is or if they've seen him. So everyone's spread out a little bit right now, but they would probably be able to give like narrow it down to be like two or three places. And right now, a majority of people are just just helping to move things around. It's like finding a place for them to kind of huddle up and stay because like they don't know how long they're going to have to be here.
And they're the White Dragonborn are very much they settle into a place like they would have you settle into their place. So it's like, yeah, man, move the couch around if that makes you feel. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Put your feet up on this. So they're kind of clashing a little bit with the Quar. The Quar being very buttoned down and they're being very British about it. They're not letting it's like, well, I'm going to bottle this up inside until it becomes cancer. But it bothers me a lot. And so they're not. So the White Dragonborn are just moving stuff. Well, it's like if we push this wall over here and we just a bunch of us will fit like they're kind of the kind of settling their butt groove into into Saun right now.
And then the other the other big bulk of people are eating. And if this White Dragonborn were a bettin person, you find them near the buffet. I see him over there and and I like like rub some of the dirt off my face and brush some of the snow off my armor and and walk up to him and say, Ned, hey, hi. It's me. Remember Corvus? Hi. He's gonna he's gonna turn because he's looking for someone to eye level with him. And that didn't happen. But he's gonna he did. Like he's gonna like it's like he's got a big platter, not a plate. He's got a serving platter of different things like.
Again, this is what their closest guess is to what Dragonborn eat. So there is a plethora of like charbroiled meats and different things, but there's also like just just weird critters. Like, why would you think they eat that? Why do you think they eat squirrel like that type of thing? Like it's like, that's weird, but OK. Like they're just they're just pot shotting. And he's going to look down and say, oh, hey, like just like his face is going to like light up. Just like and he's going to lift this platter and kind of like wrap it around you until it's at your back and then kind of like come in for like a quick hug, like, hey, how are you?
But like being very careful, it's like, don't spill the food. Yeah. I give him a hug back and like, oh, have you tried the warmth pockets? Sounds moist. I haven't tried that one yet, but I have you seen some of the stuff that they they're given it like. I mean, I've never eaten this little almost looks like a bug, but I got a really good barbecue sauce. Oh, yeah, I know. OK, we first got here. They kind of just laid out what it is they thought that we ate and it included three cats, like whole cats on the off chance that that was just something that we would enjoy, I guess.
Well, this packs a bit of a kick, but they call it spice juice. I'm not a fan of this name. I want to change it. Is it tasty, though? Is it good? Oh, it's great. If you if you like a little like it. Here, try. He's going to he's going to offer you something that looks like a rib, but there's feet at the end of it. So it's like, wait, what the fuck is that? Like that's it's like, was this just a really long creature? What is this? So he's going to offer you like like to tear off a hunk. Yeah, I sort of like I sort of like grimace at the thought of like ripping a hunk of meat with my bare hands, but I reach in and do it anyway.
And it like like sauce oozes out from between his knuckles. And he just looks up at Nat and is like, hmm. So he was offering it like he was like, take a bite and you rip a piece off. It's like, that's weird, but OK. Like, it's like he doesn't like it. Like it's a blip on his radar. It's like, OK. Do you taste it? Yeah, I definitely do. Here's what I want to do, because he says it's got a little bit of a kick. OK. On a scale of one to ten. Let's see how spicy this is. Can you give me a D10, please? Yes, I can. Three. So it's got like it's a little bit of spice, you know, it's it's not even medium.
It's just like, OK, yeah, I see what they're going for. Warms you up on a cold day. Yeah, Corvus is like, hmm. Yeah. OK. Yeah, this is good. But what did you say they call it again? Spice juice. He kind of he kind of like leans in. It's like they're trying. They're really nice so far. They're you know. I was just wondering, I don't know if if you're busy or whatever, I was just wondering if you got the message that I left for you and if. I don't know if you're free this evening. Maybe we could, you know, go for a walk. I have a lot of questions about Dragonborn.
I'd love to ask you. I've never met any of them before. So he's chewing the entire time, just like. What do you mean, like a date course goes like absolutely pale and begins to sweat and like it's like looking around and he's like. It it it doesn't have to be a date if you're not comfortable with that, it could just be a conversation, but if that's if there is a. I would like it to be a date. But it doesn't have to be. Yeah, why not? Yeah, you know, I actually heard on the other side of this city there, they're eating Quar stuff, and I really want to check that out because I'm guessing it's super bland.
I got a bet with Selma that it is just paste and I'm betting that I'm right. You want to you want to maybe go out with me and go check it out? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, I really would. I think that would be great. Chances are it probably is paste. Just a heads up. I'm not sure if it's paste or not. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I really would. I think that would be great. Chances are it probably is paste. Just a heads up. I knew it. He's going to reach over and he's got this kind of white cloth. He's going to kind of like dab at Corvus's mouth. And if you look, you can see that it is clearly the tablecloth that he has pulled over him and draped to use as a napkin.
And yeah, they make themselves at home. Corvus is glad to see him comfortable. But yeah, he like go. They like go get food. I think that's how Corvus spends the evening. What about everyone else? How do you guys just just real quick before we before we fast forward a little bit. I think at some point, depending on how much we're going to kind of skip forward here, maybe like early the next morning, Yegan would try to go into guys's room or like see if guys is awake. Because I think he gets to some sort of conclusion at some point of like, I'm not the only one being affected by this type of thing is at first it was kind of the initial not necessarily selfish response, but just oh, shit.
Now I have to deal with all of this stuff and then shock. Yeah. Trying to consume and understand a lot of this, getting to the understanding of guys is affected just as much as. As I am. So if you go into guys's room, just be careful. He has morning wood. But I'm sure all over. Yeah. Yeah. I'm trying to find a place to start now. Sorry. So he'll just kind of quietly make his way over to guys's room and just kind of like half heartedly knock on the door. A roots. You awake. Look over. Yeah. Yeah. Come on. Come on. I kind of stumble in and they're just going to sit down near wherever guys is in the room.
This really sucks. Yeah. Yeah. I've been thinking most of the night. We were close. So. Yeah. Yeah. It really got me excited there for a second. I thought. I don't know. I thought that we'd have a little more closure. Yeah. Are you like me now where you just don't know what to do. I've been asking myself all night. What do I go home. Yeah. I don't I don't know. It's. I mean, well, if nothing else, we got to take product home. Right. That's. Even if we don't do any of the other things. I mean, I guess in a sense, I brought her into this world, like try to crack a smile with it.
Yeah. I'm sorry. I forgot. I didn't forget. But I know there's other there's other things on your plate right now. Yeah. And that was a lot yesterday. How are you feeling? I mean. Obviously, the biggest hit is the deal being off and not being able to speak to none. But. Yeah. You know, then fellas death with everything. And the gods being gone and the new gods and he like does air quotes with that new gods are here. And the fact that I was just given armor, so I'm not supposed to die to give a message about. Things that I don't know. Like that's that's the part that I.
I've come to terms with not being able to speak to not me again. Come to terms with Vella's death. I've based upon the way that things are different and the magic feels different. I can understand what Corvus is talking about as far as the gods are gone or different or changed. But the fact that I'm supposed to be a messenger. Well, maybe there's. Reason for that. I guess with the armor, you have a lot of time. Yeah, I have some questions about how that works, too. If I wear it for 10 years and then take it off for a day, do I only age one day? I don't know.
That's that's too much to think about. Yeah, it's all beyond me. Maybe the kid has more insight. How go go about this if you even want to. I mean, that's your choice. He seems to. Have some more information. Maybe he knows a place to start or something. What do you want to do? I don't know, but. I know Nami wouldn't want me to give up. She'd want to smile and keep marching forward. I suppose I should stick around because I wish it was up. Yeah, who knows, maybe me being a messenger will still get some of this deal after all. Or maybe we'll have a chip on our shoulder when we want to make a deal whenever if.
Able to meet these so-called gods. Yeah. Yeah. I've been one of them. To be able to do something. Yeah. At that point he's going to kind of just stand up a little bit and almost like pat the bed like as he's standing up. And you're probably like me the fact that you didn't get any sleep. I don't know if it's too late to try. Maybe just rest your eyes for a little bit until everybody else is ready to go. Yeah, I think I think talking about this. Maybe put my mind at rest just for a bit. Of anything else I'm here to talk. Thanks. Me too. There's one more thing I want to do.
At some point in the night, Corvus is going to get kind of a mental tap on his shoulder. He's like curled up and sleeping and smiling about his date with Nat. And you're going to get a "Hey. Hey. Hello?" You got to get your friend to hold it together. Just give it a couple more days. You're going to get answers. You'll get the full thing, but they're not ready yet. It's a whole process. Just get your friend to hold his shit together for a couple more days. Can you do that for me? I have some clarifying questions. Oh God. Make it quick. Come on. You're talking about Yegman, right?
Yeah. My friend? Okay. That's the one. I picked up from Context Clues. The broken one. Yeah. Yeah. You got to be easier on him. He's going through a lot and there's just a lot to process. And we each kind of go through that in a different way. He's going through a lot. He's going through a lot. We got entities up here that have merged with their evil counterparts after thousands of millennia. And your friend is going through a lot. I respect that you're probably going through a lot too. We all process our emotions in different ways. Do you have any idea what we have to restructure just in terms of filing?
Do you have any idea? I don't. Why don't you tell me? I have a lot to do. And every minute I'm here speaking with you, I'm not doing that stuff. Like I said, you get the full thing in just two days. Two. 48 hours. Can you do that for me? 48 hours. Keep him from killing himself or trying. And just keep him on the path, okay? I can handle that. I can handle that. I assume you're working with the new pantheon. Can you share your identity with me? Who am I speaking with? Or who is speaking with me? My name's Greg. I've been dead for a long time. It doesn't matter. Okay, well.
It matters. You matter, Greg. It does matter. Fucking SJWs. Um, no. No. Um. Look. I know it's tough. And I know it's a lot to drop on somebody all at once. I know you just spoke with some version of the gods a week ago or so. I get it. I do. I really do. Two days. We're gonna have a soft open. It's gonna be great. You guys are gonna get the whole download and then the big launch. Okay. Okay. I understand. Who's gonna give me this download? Is it gonna be you, Greg? Or is it gonna be like everyone gets the download? That would kill you. So what they're gonna do is they're putting together sort of a mental info packet.
It'll be shared with you and your group so that your friend can get the message out and then he's basically an apostle. He's a messenger. He's gonna give them the good word. And for some reason they think he can do that almost alone. There's a few others. But he's gotta cover at least a continent in case someone else dies. I see. He started on the least populated one so... Fuck the guy on Alara. That guy. Whoo! Is there a way I can contact you, Greg? Or is this gonna be it for us? Well, there's no reason to get dramatic. We're speak again, I'm sure. I'll hit you up tomorrow night.
Okay? I'll check in. Okay. Sounds good. I'll keep Yegman from... I'll make sure he's okay. Okay. Again, don't let him kill himself. Say the words. I won't... I look around. I won't let him kill himself. Alright. Okay. I got you on your word. Okay? Greg, what's happening to me? Oh, you? Why is this...? Okay. Well, okay. Think of it like... Like getting a big promotion. Okay. You're gonna be a demigod, kid. It's gonna be great. I've seen it. It's a big bunch of power. You're getting it at a weird time. I'm not gonna lie. Technically you have no parents. It's sad, but you're gonna get a bunch of power.
And as long as you operate in the straight and narrow, help your boy out, you should be fine. You don't want to get on the bad side of these folks, 'cause they're trying to help you out, but they do have a mean streak. And I just want to make sure that you don't piss 'em off. What? Did you pick up any of that? Do I...? You what? I don't have parents? What's happening? Well, okay. It's more... deity-speaking, you don't have parents. I'm sure you have parents or whatever. I have parents? Right, okay. Yeah, they're great. I'm sure. But I'm talking about bigger picture stuff.
We're talking about big cosmic, in-control entities. You're gonna be half that, kind of. You're gonna be... What's gonna happen to me? What is this? Does it change things? Yes. Well, it's gonna change a lot of things. Oh my god. What? First of all, your boyfriend's in for a treat later on. Trust me. My boyfriend? What? How? What? Oh, don't play court. Okay. We went on one date. Are you gonna go on a second? I hope so, yes, Craig. Okay, well then let's assume if you're not dead, you'll go on a second date. Work with me here! Okay, okay. Look, I gotta go. Take your friend's shoestrings, whatever you gotta do.
I'll see you tomorrow night. Goodbye. Uh, Corvus doesn't sleep a wink after that. Holding his pillow. I wanna get this, like, I wish this mental image happens later on. Corvus is sitting there, like, wide awake, door open. He sees Yegman stumble across. He hears some mumbling in the other room. He sees Yegman start to stumble back, and then halfway back he's like, "Oh, I forgot this." And he picks up his war pick and he just, like, slowly drags it back to his room. Oh god, no! The pain in Corvus' face. Guys, I think that's a good time for us to stop the evening.
This was a way happier episode than the last one, good job! A lot of emotions in this one. A lot. Up and downs. Oh. I feel like Corvus and Yegman had completely different experiences this time. Yeah! Man, it's gotta suck to be the friend who always has, like, bad big news. It's like, "Okay, remember what I told you yesterday? Well, um, addendum. It's gotta suck." "Here's a sandwich though, I'm a demigod!" Yeah! That's pretty cool. For me, though, I don't know how that helps you, but... I mean, if anything, the bigwigs have taken notice of you, maybe you could put in a good word for your buddy.
I guess Ned's gonna be happy? I don't know what that means! Gonna have some relations with a demigod. I love it! That's the moment I lost you a lot. But at least he got to know you before you became a demigod. That's true, so you know he's not in it. Exactly. We'll be right back after these words from our sponsors. Please don't go anywhere. Thank you all so much for listening. We really do appreciate it. Obviously you can support the show at Patreon at patreon.com/dandr. Also, couple of big announcements. We're going to be removing hundreds of episodes from our feed and just putting them behind our Patreon.
One, because we're running out of room on our main feed. Two, it's too much for new listeners to get into. So we're gonna be doing that mid-September. You'll have plenty of time. We're gonna give you guys plenty of time, don't worry. And they're not gonna be deleted or anything, they're gonna be moved. So we'll give you guys more info on that. Also, August 28th, again, we're gonna be streaming all day on Twitch. And of course, the Kickstarter goes live. We really need your help, guys. Share that page with everybody you think might be interested in it. We could really, really use your assistance.
Anyway, thank you guys so much. We'll see you next week with a brand new episode. And until then, good luck with your games.
