(glass clinking) - Pickaxe. - When it comes to music, everyone has a totally unique taste. So when a song comes on that perfectly fits your mood, it kind of feels like magic. And at Credit Karma, we do the same thing, but for your finances. We got tired of the financial system, giving broad, impersonal, and irrelevant advice to everybody. - At Sierra, you'll always find apparel, footwear, and gear for 20 to 60% less than department and specialty store prices. But right now it's clearance time, so you can save even more on everything you need to get active and outside. Visit your local Sierra store today. - Oh, let's do that thing, right? That thing where we go around the table and introduce ourselves. I'm Jason, I'm the Dungeon Master, going around the table, starting with Jamie. - Hi, I'm Jamie. I play Tatiana, the Human Rogue. - And Zach. - What's up, my name is Zach and I play Blevin, Elmar, Ruthafort, Human Bard.

- And Lisa. - Hey, I'm Lisa and I play Vella, the Minotaur Rogue. - And Jameson. - Hey, I'm Jameson. I play Larg, the Half-Orc Paladin Barbarian. - And last and certainly not least, Karen. - Hello, I am Karen and I play Joe, the Human Cleric. - Karen has hardwired smoke detectors and she thinks she's better than us. - I know some of them are gonna be like, there's probably a backup battery in there and you should check on that. But I live life dangerously. - I got insurance, fuck it. - Burn the mouse down. Probably worth more for the user. - Oh, it started. - Oh shit.

- So sorry. - Just swat your microphone off your table. I got smoke detectors. - Yeah, that's that rust. We haven't recorded in a while. Don't know what to do with your hands, that type of thing. - Oh God, okay, it should be better now. - Duct tape it down. - No joke, I actually did try to do that. - Was it in a stand? - It's on a stand, but the little thing that screws into the bottom is not the right size. So it's kind of precariously... - I got adapters, I can send you, I got cords. I can... - I got cords, I got cords. (laughing) - If you're not on our Patreon, we kind of figured out the millennial version of having a big toolbox is just having a rat's nest of cords in your closet that you are very proud of.

It's like, I got a micro, I got a micro. - I got one right now actually in my closet. - Yeah, yeah. - Big box too. - It's actually a mark of shame is having to go to the store and buy a cable because you should have that cable. - Do you know who goes to Best Buy to buy a cable? The desperate or rich to buy like... - 60 bucks for an HDMI cable, yeah. - Dude, $40 for that same printer cable you can get for six on Amazon. - I've had to do it once or twice and it hurt me in my soul somewhere. Just let me go by the insignia brand fucking piece of shit. Anyway, what the hell are we doing here tonight?

That's right, we're gonna play some D&D. It's rare, but sometimes we get to meet up and do it. Now, the last time we sat and played, you guys defeated Drakh. Big old bombastic fight. We were reminded about things like the orcish resilience feat. Didn't occur to either one of us or any of us during that, but thank you 'cause we're gonna mess stuff up and I guarantee you I'm gonna do it again. I'm gonna completely forget about that feat at one point like it's gonna happen. But you're also near this gate, this gateway that can get you out of here. After this fight, how are we all feeling?

Like you're right there, it's within sight. How do we feel? And I say that realizing that a couple of you got messed up. Oh yeah. I got 14 hit points left, I'm all right. Out of 106. Yeah, I think the lark sits down on a rock and is basically looking for a juice box or something like he's hurting, just taking a breather, orange slices or something. Orange slices. I imagine Ellen would be helping too, but like even during that fight, like, you know, I'm always interested. Do you know how you're at work and sometimes you need conflict resolution, HR needs to step in and it's like, okay, well I hear you have a problem with Katie about this.

Is there ever that in groups about things like healing? If you remember. I forgot, I literally just remembered what happened. I was like, oh no, no, it's a Vatican. It's not, if everyone lived, it's fine. But in the moment, in the moment, there was a little salt in that wound. And after everybody catches their breath, it's like, hey Joe, let's just say like. I got a few constructive criticisms for you. If we were to do it all again. See these wounds? Could've used help here. How are you with scars? I mean, honestly, I think lark, the fortunate thing is that because he was in a rage, I don't think he noticed so much what people weren't doing so much as he was paying attention to what Drack was doing.

So unless somebody else mentions it, he doesn't care. He didn't notice. - Okay, so that was more of a Jameson thing than a lark thing. - Yeah, yeah. - 'Cause Jameson fucking noticed. - Out of character. (laughing) It's fine, it all worked out. Even without the thing we forgot about, it all worked out. - Yeah, it's fantastic. - Yeah, everything's coming up lark. - So go ahead, sorry. - Well, I had mentioned to you a while ago that I have this new thing that I kind of wanted to do, which was because Drack has fallen and died, I have this new cool passive ability where anytime something departs in front of me, I am able to snatch a token from the departing soul and it's a sliver of its life essence.

And it just sort of manifests in my hand. So for Drack, I pictured an ax, like a little mini, almost like a key chain ax, like what you got from Dragon Con that one year. - Oh yeah, TSA took that. - I know, but it was very cool. - It was very cool, it was also sharp and I didn't think about that going on the plane. It was like, I'll check it. It's like, no, it's ours. And it's like, fuck, anyway. So, okay, I was gonna ask you about that. Like obviously, if you guys kill a bunch of bandits and you wanna snatch a piece of like a soul from these bandits, is that like a regular pog and Drack would be like a really shiny metallic one?

Like are there levels of these tokens? - I'd like to think so, he's holographic for sure. - Right, yeah, totally. Like he's a pre-release like bonus or something like that. Right, okay, all right, that's cool, I like that. - Yeah, I pictured it as sort of like a little ax trinket that just sort of manifests in Tatiana's hand after the battle. - Is that something Tatiana knew she could do or is this like? - No, this is new, so it's sort of like, whoa, but this definitely looks like Drack's ax, so. Must have come from him. - I think after this fight, when it's clear, well, it's pretty clear right away that Drack ain't getting back up.

You know, what with him being in two different pieces, Ellen would kind of start patching people up and kind of get everybody to like, it's like, okay, take a knee, let's get resting, let's, you know, like, just a short rest I think would be almost insisted upon with that, it's like, look, I don't know if anything's gonna be around the corner, but we should probably be a little more prepared, that type of thing, even though you guys are very, very close to, unless you wanna push forward. Time is of the essence, of course, but like, if there's something around the corner, it would be a real shame to have 14 hit points. - Is that a threat?

- No, I'm saying that sometimes your healers heal and sometimes they don't, so like it would be, no, I'm joking, I'm joking, I'm so sorry. - No, no, yeah, I think that, and Larg would even like check with the group, he'd be like, so we're just gonna, we gotta go get everybody and then bring them back. And then he was like, he literally does like sit down on a rock and like take a breather from first be like, okay, just give me a sec. And then we call that like a short rest maybe. - Take a breath. - 'Cause you still have those stragglers way back in the bend that we kind of left.

- Yeah. - But- - Yeah, first and foremost, they need to know that you lived. Like it's like, okay, that's good. - Blevins will start helping the healing regime, just kind of just loudly to everyone. All right, everyone, if you're ready to heal, please unbutton your shirts. Strip down your pants, it really helps for healing. - Oh, he did start taking his clothes off, didn't he, during that fight. - Oh yeah. - Yeah. - Yeah, he's shirtless right now. He's going for his pants loons. He absolutely believes this is the best way to heal. Is it not? - Where are you touching people that- - Well, you don't know.

- A lack of pants helps the process. - Well, you know, he just, you know, Blevins, he's a little insane, so he believes healing starts at the skin. - Right. - Skin first. - So is it more like- - Sounds like a really bad commercial for like body lotion. - Oh yeah, yeah, yeah. - Ellen is going to lean over and talk to Lark. Is he okay? He seems... Um... Traumatized, maybe? - I'm gonna be honest with you, he's the weirdest person I've ever met. - Big smell on Blavint's face. - Just don't, just try to never stand next to him and be okay. - Could you please just tell me if he's an actual healer?

Or is this just a line he uses to get people's pants off? (laughs) - He's gonna give Ellen the most honest look he's ever given her and say, "I don't know. I don't, I'm not sure." - I love you dearly, but you have a really weird taste in Friends. The last group I thought was a little strange. Between the little Gremlin thing and this guy, I'm honestly a little worried. - I just found these guys. I don't know. I don't remember his name, I don't think. (laughs) No, but he'll just be like, "I have very little control over that man." And I think he doesn't either.

But he's all right. I think he'll be okay. But yeah, he's better over there. - Yeah. She'll hold up a hand, it's like, "I'm good." Like that type of thing. You tip top, feeling great. Yeah, yep. Just like, just playing. I can heal, that's fine. I got cords. - Even Mark is like, "You know what? I think I'm okay." I think I'm just fine. (laughs) - Just bleeding profusely. - I'm here in the background. Rightio, everyone on the mens. Shoes, undergarments, whatever you need. Take 'em off. - It helps. - Trust me. - Bella's sneaking around behind a rock to be like, "No, no, I'm gonna heal myself." - Yeah.

I'm just gonna let nature take its course. It's fine. Just bandages. Can I get everyone to drop some hit die? Let's get you guys healed up. - Is Drauk still there? Like his body? Or is it like evaporated all hellish? - No, no, no. That's a body still there. - Yeah. - Larg, do you want an axe? - So the axe is gone. The axe was more ethereal while it was there. It's more representation. The real axe is actually, it's on the planet. - Got it. - Oh yeah. - Oh, that's right. - Yeah, that's right. - Yeah. Yep, yep, yep. - So yeah, after a bit of a rest, I think Larg will just kind of look around at everybody and say, "We need to go get everybody." Right?

- Ellen, Ellen's gonna speak up. Do we know exactly what happens when we step through? I'm as anxious as anyone to get out of here, but... I just don't want to take these people from a bad situation into a worse one. - Can it get worse than hell? (chuckles) - Kind of a look at it as like, yeah, that's fair, that's fair. Okay. (laughs) - I mean, we only know what we've been told about the portal, right? Which was not much, just that it's the only way out. - To where, who knows? - All right. Anybody trained in perception, please give me a perception check. Oh, aw. 14 from Vella, 12 from Larg, and a 22 from Tatiana.

- Nice. - That's where that double proficiency comes in. Um, Tatiana, you're gonna spot a deer. It's a little bit away from you guys, but definitely noticeable and definitely familiar looking. If you remember the little meal you guys had a long time ago. Yeah, looks like that deer. And it seems to be staring right, kind of right at you guys, just kind of observing the scene every once in a while, like a little ear twitch or something, but yeah, nothing, no, like just watching. - Those were the good old days when Darmok was still inside me. Time flies. - Collective party cringe.

(laughs) - You're still fully nude at this point when you're saying that, dude. (laughs) - Ah, guys, just hands on hips. Yeah, let me ask you a question. Do you stop? Is there, I guess, like where's the line? - So the line, it's like a ratio to like how hurt Blevins is, right? So he got down to maybe like half hit points. So he just like shirt off, shoes off, obviously, you know. - Chara's cat. - Obviously, so yeah, but he started to heal back up obviously 'cause his clothes were off. So he's, you know, shirt coming back on. I don't know if he's at buttons yet and he's not full hit points, but you know, we're getting there.

- So we're down to like deep V, not like, - Yeah, you know, like some buttons. - Gonna air out a little bit, yeah. - Okay, I feel like from this point forward, whenever Blevins says something weird, Larg's not gonna say anything, but he's gonna grab his scruff and just shake once real quick. (laughs) - Try and train him? (laughs) - Like I have to address it. I have to do something, yeah. - Bad, bad Blevins. - He's fine, yeah. Can't rub his nose in there. (laughs) - Does anybody else see this deer? And Tatiana's gonna point it out. It's kind of just staring at us.

- No, that was Dormak. Sorry. - You don't say that, do you? Like, oh, it's Dormak? - No, that's too dumb even for me, no. No, I don't, I mean, I don't think he sees it unless it's like explicitly pointed out and it doesn't move or anything, right? - Right. - Yeah, so I guess like. - Blevins doesn't see it either. - Not hiding, very important to say. It's like not hiding or anything like that. - Oh, it's fine. I'm just probably slowly losing my mind and I'm hallucinating at this point. Are we gonna get out of here or we can get those people? We wanna send something through the portal first maybe to see if it like, I don't know.

- Oh, like it comes back or something? - Largo, look at Blevins. Do you wanna go check it out? - Sure. - You take a look. - Just stick your head through. - What's the worst that could happen? - Excellent question. So, okay, hold on. Couple things. One, Ellen would volunteer to go get everyone. All right, I'll gather everyone up and I'll bring them back to the gate. And, you know, march off and start to, you know, kind of, you know, grab everybody and kind of herd them. Okay, to be clear, what do you wanna do? Do you wanna stick your head in? - I mean, we all know Blevins at this point.

He's a little curious. He wouldn't mind a little head poke, a little what's behind the curtain, number one. - Head poke in, booty sticking out? - Yeah, just in case we need a quick pull back, you see his arms dangling or something. - As you approach, that deer is gonna call out to you. Wait just a moment. - All right. - Okay, you all heard that though, right? - What in the world was that? - And the deer is going to approach the party, specifically Blevins, but, you know, approach the party and try to get everyone's attention. And within the course of like one or two seconds is going to morph into a more like a human shape, like a full grown woman.

And yeah, just mostly, like a real furry though. Like that's like, I gotta throw in Jameson Bates. So like, it's all, it's real. - I feel a lot of that tonight. I feel we don't need to. - Yeah, no, you're right. I don't know why we're getting... I was telling everybody at DragonCon, I wish I recorded that 10 minute rant you went on about furries. Like it was just, we were playing Wavelength and it was... - My favorite game. - The way I get upset about Superman, you got upset about that. Like you just, it was like, wow, I never knew. Like it was just, you know, it wasn't bad thoughts.

It was just interesting. It was like, wow. - Yeah, I was gonna say, don't put that out there though. I don't need DMs from people on Discord. What's your problem? - No, no, no, no, no, not like that. It was more just like a lot of thoughts and feelings at once and it was like, wow, okay, that's interesting. Apparently there's, yeah, I didn't... It's one of those things where you're like, I do have strong opinions about that. Okay, wow. - For sure I've been there. You just start rolling. You're like, you know what? - Apparently I've been thinking about this. Everybody sit down for a second.

- A lot of fish shaking and stuff. - A lot of pacing back and forth real quick. This woman is going to approach the party with her hands up. I understand that there was some, perhaps a miscommunication earlier and I'm sorry for the way that my compatriots acted. Obviously we all have free will and they are more than welcome to react the way that they did though I'm sorry that they made your experience here so unpleasant. And again, very warm, very congenial, very like a very welcoming smile on her face. I was just waiting to see if there's any response from that, like she didn't give you a hard time, but you know, oh, Splat is very much with you.

- What's his reaction to Dear Lady? Does he have one? - I think not at first. I think the shape-shifting kind of creeped him out a little bit. Like there was something about changing forms that really like squigged them out. You know what I mean? And it's coming from a very damp misformed creature. You know what I mean? Yeah, like it's okay. We all have things. Some people it's spiders, like changing shape. People are like, yeah, like just, do you see that? That was gross. And he blinks independently. Yeah. - If he seems a little uncomfortable, I think Bella would probably like kind of, I don't know about, she'd probably try and do it subtly, but like just kind of like try and kind of push him like behind her a little bit.

Like you stay here, sweetheart. - Oh yeah. - Just kind of like in a little slight protective move. - Yeah, and like to be clear, he's not any more scared than he usually is. Like he's, you know, obviously being outside the tower and all that, like it's big open sky and that's, you know, he's very trepidatious, let's say. So like he'll cling to you a lot. Like he'll kind of like, you know, like he feels more comfortable, you know, being close. And she would, this God would continue. I do want to congratulate you on making it this far though. I can guarantee you that many of the others never thought that you'd get close.

- Well, I was just going to say, thank you so much. We were just heading out if you wouldn't mind. - And yeah, she's, she realizes she's standing a little like in front of the gate and she steps to the side. Of course, I don't want to impede your progress. I do think that you should be informed about what you're stepping into though. One, you are about to leave this place. And I can't tell you how thankful I am that your suffering here is over. All of you have earned it. And I genuinely think this could be a fresh start for every single one of you. When you step through, you'll be taken to an area of the world that needs your help the most.

And that could be different for everyone. I can't tell you where you're going to end up, but I can tell you that your mission, your relevance, your importance can't be understated. And I hope that you continue to do good for the world. I, for one, haven't lost faith in a mortal's ability to change things for the good. Although I can't speak for everyone else, I have faith in you. Needless to say, I will help the others, but they will most likely not be going to the same place that you will. And she's standing there just waiting to see. It's like, okay, there's a bit of an info dump.

I'm gonna wait to see if you understand what's up. - I think they won't be going back to the surface or they won't be going to the same place, like say, Elara. - To be clear, they will. Their lives will be restored. And they'll be given a chance to relive the rest of their lives. Their presence here is a mistake. It never should have been this way. And the only way to judge them is to actually see what they do while they're mortal. I can't make sure everyone currently here is free, but I can make sure that anyone who has consciousness now is returned. I hope that's enough for now.

- Am I understanding that there's the possibility that we could be split up? Or are we gonna stay at the-- - Do you ask that? - Yeah. - Okay. (clears throat) The five of you have, through a strange set of circumstances, been brought together. And I believe you're more than the sum of your parts. And I think you could be an incredible force for change. I wouldn't dare split you up. Where you're going, your talents will be needed. And you'll need to work together more now than ever before. I will say that your small companion will be facing changes of his own.

I can't tell you why someone did what they did to him, other than torture. But I'm giving you the option now to have him remain with you or allow me to take care of him. And obviously she's talking about Splat. - Well, I think we should ask him. And Bella's gonna turn to Splat and just be like, "All right, buddy, what do you wanna do? "If we go through this door, you can stay with us. "Or it sounds like she might help take care of you. "What do you wanna do?" - Again, he's kind of always got his head on the swivels since you guys have left. There've been dragons and shit, obviously.

That's way beyond his pay grade. And he's kind of like up on your shoulders, kind of hanging off that type of thing. Just always kind of gripping your armor. Every once in a while, he'll grab horns and stuff like that. Not like he's steering you, but just it's like, "Oh man, these are so convenient. "This is great." And you can kind of hear him mull it over a little bit. There's kind of a low, kind of like him, just like sussing it out. "I'd very much like to leave. "And if you would allow me, "I think I could be a valuable member of the team." - I don't know why, but that makes me and Bella very happy.

I don't know, I'm so attached to him. - He's kind of looking at Larg the entire time. - Yeah, yeah, 'cause he's the same. - I don't think he has to be in the team. I don't think he has to sell you on it. - Yeah, Bella was probably gonna turn to everybody and just be like, "What do you think, guys?" - Just imagine Larg has one blade up, or your divine smite. - So during this entire conversation, ever since the deer approach, Larg has been actually very pointedly not. He's arms folded, very quiet. He hasn't really been communicating. So when Splat is looking at him, he does his sort of double-T, he's like, "What was he looking at me for?

"I don't have an opinion about this." I forgot he was here. - I was Fintur. - I mean, you wouldn't be the weirdest member of the team, Splat, so I'd say you're welcome. - Well, I'm very much hoping that maybe I could return to my original form, whatever that is. I mean, hopefully. If I can't, though, I can fit into very small spaces. - Well, it did sound like she said that you were gonna go through some changes, so even if it's not your original form, maybe something better than this? - What's better than that? (laughs) That's peak physical conditioning right there.

So you said Larg is very much kind of withdrawn from the situation. - Yeah, I mean, could be 'cause he's mad at the deer, could be 'cause he's tuckered out, could be a couple things, but yeah, he's not willfully engaged in the conversation up to this point. - She's going to approach and put her hand on Larg's arm, very much just kind of like, I'm trying to be warm, I'm trying to communicate to you. I understand your frustration, I do. And I understand that there are some growing pains. It's been an incredible, a breathtaking journey, merging with the demons from here.

And I don't know how long it could take for some of the others to even out. I can make you this promise, though. What you've done here has not gone unnoticed. And I'll be working to make sure that everyone wrongfully imprisoned is set free. And if you ever need something from me personally, travel to Larg's home. Travel to the mountains and find our temple. And I'll do everything I can to assist you. That's the least I can do. - So Larg takes a deep breath at that. And he looks from her around to the rest of the group, and he kind of looks off in the direction where Alan went, kind of check and see if they're on their way back yet.

And then he'll try to catch Tatiana, I really quickly and he'll, by way of response to her, he'll say, "I'm not going back." I said I wasn't leaving until everybody who didn't belong here was out. And everybody who did belong here stayed. So I'm not going back until they're all gone. - Did you talk to Alan about that? - I'll talk to her. She has work to do, and so do I. I can't go back yet. I need to keep people here who belong here. And that includes me. - She still has a hand on your arm. You're sure about this decision? - I came here to talk to her. I came here to put somebody back here who belonged.

And I know there's a lot more people out there who don't. I can't leave until they're all gone. - And she's gonna kind of give you this, like, understanding nod, all right? What about the rest of you? Are you ready to move on to the next step? - Leavens is definitely staring at the portal. - Larga, I feel like there's people up there who need you too. We can walk there. Right, but I need you. Who am I gonna have to get me out of my shitty problems? - You get it. You need to understand, I wish I could stay here. I wish I could stay with you. But something hasn't been right with me since the first time I died.

I never talked about it, but ever since that first time, something's been wrong. I want nothing more than to hurt people as much as I can. And I've been holding on to that and trying not to act on it. This whole time. I belong here. And the only thing I can do is use that here to help the other people who shouldn't be here. And that includes you. You don't belong here, none of you. So you need to go, and I need to stay. (laughing) - I'm about to fireman carry the whole party and throw them through the portal. - We're about to get in another fight. Party member be party member.

- What's Joe thinking? - Trying to figure out how to articulate how Joe's feeling, sorry. 'Cause she's like, I get it. Internal monologue is like, okay, I fucking get it, right? But what's the plan? How are you gonna do this? Just trying to figure out the logic behind it. I don't know if that's a good way to say that. But I think as Largs saying this, she gonna turn to this woman and just be like, why can't you just, you obviously know the people who are here and who aren't supposed to be here. Why can't you just let people that aren't supposed to be here just go back or put them where they're supposed to belong?

I mean, it's clearly a freak accident that all of us were woken up from whatever state we were in can happen however many more times. - She's gonna, well, one, she's gonna take her hand off Larg like before he started, you know. It's gonna get weird eventually, right? You have to understand that I'm one of many and I'm not the sole one in charge of all of these souls. If I had my way, I'd return each and every one of them. But there's a balance we need to consider. And to be honest, we were sealed away while a good portion of these souls were placed here.

We don't know what kind of lives they lived. If a compromise could be struck we may be able to usher groups of them back to live the rest of their lives with no memory of being here. But again, I'm one of many gods. If Larg believes that he can help that case by staying then I won't stand in this way. But as I've said, there are people that need you above. - Well, if you're not the boss, let's get everybody together, get all your little friends and let's figure this out because I'm not leaving without him and he's not leaving. So... (thunder rumbling) She's gonna start to take a different tone.

There's this infinite almost kindergarten teacher patience and at one point she's gonna put her hands together and look down. I don't think you understand. Let's read the two bottles. No. - Let's read this together, show. I'm not sure if you noticed or not, but this is a... This is an incredible opportunity that if many of the others had their way would not be available to you. You've earned this and you need to make a choice whether or not you're staying here or leaving. But this is the one and only time you may be able to make that choice and the window for it is closing.

- Mark's gonna take Tatiana by the arm and be like, "Excuse us," and just drag her 10 feet backwards. - And she's just one of the... Almost like a couple argument where it's... (indistinct) - Sorry, sorry, we just gotta real quick. (laughing) - You are the new shark. - You'll just lean in and be like, "Listen, you need to go. "You can't stay here. "The whole point of this entire thing since I got here "was to get you out of here. "You need to go back. "You don't belong here. "That's not true. "If I haven't done anything wrong, "you definitely haven't done anything wrong.

"You say you wanna hurt people, "that comes in handy sometimes. "Don't know if you've noticed, "but it kinda got us to where we are now." - It's different when you want it. - She's kind of being aggro at you. She's mad. - Sure, yeah. And he's being surprisingly the calm one right now. (laughing) And no, it's different when you want it. - I'm not supposed to want what I want. You have no idea, Dottie. I shouldn't be up there. If there's anything I need to do, I need to do it down here. I need to get people like you and all the rest of them who don't belong here out.

If I can do that, then maybe. Maybe I'll earn it. But I need you to go up and I need you to check on everybody. I need you to help Ellen if you can. - You know there's a chance you could turn into that and she's gonna point at Splat the more you're down here. - You'll actually smile at that and you'll be like, "I think I turned into something cooler than that." (laughing) Probably that dragon from before. - It's probably way more metal. - I'd probably turn into that dragon, I think, if I had my choice. - I like that because that either that either says that Splat wanted to turn into that?

Like that was an elective procedure? - Well, I thought he was like, "Oh, I've been in here so long. I don't even remember." I thought it was like a gradual turning thing. He'd just been in hell for so long. - Yeah, he didn't know. Like it was something done to him, definitely. But yeah, who knows? We'll see. When we get Larg Pippin. - That would be hell. - I'd love to see that art. - No, don't put that out there in the universe. - I want Pippin's body and Larg's head just like on it. Like a real "Why's it tax?" thing. - If that art happens before a Larg versus Drauk mural, I will be furious.

(laughing) I'd lose my mind. So yeah, it would be like, listen, they're not, she says they're paying attention. Nobody was paying attention down here. There's nobody in charge. What if, maybe just like for a little while until it's fixed, what if Larg was in charge? - You just couldn't not, right? You just had to do it, I get it. - I had to. - You had to. - Couldn't I? - Then he looks directly at the camera, yeah. - Yeah! - Goodness for our new six episode series. - This is the prologue movie. - DNR plus. - Exasperated. - Exasperatedly Tatiana's gonna yell into the air, "Fuck, all this work to get here!" Ellen's gonna be pissed, you know that, right?

She's gonna be so furious at you. - I know. But that's not the first time. You should have seen it way back when. - As you guys are having this talk, there's going to be like another peel of lightning, like blam, like it is, it is. There is this undeniable feeling as soon as it happens, it's like, uh oh, like it's like things are gonna get worse quickly, like, you know? - Okay, Tatiana is going to grab Larg by his armor, whatever, and is going to give him a little shake and say, "Fine, you do whatever the fuck you need to do down here, and then you get your ass back up there, do you hear me?

I'm not gonna feel like I abandoned you for nothing, so do whatever hero stuff you need to do, and then come save us up there." - Okay. It's a deal. - And she'll forcefully let go. - And he'll wrap her into a huge hug, actually. You try to let go and he's like, "Oh no." - Aww. - Don't make me cry, you big lug. - But then, yeah, he'll let her go, and he'll stand to the side. - This god's going to very gently, not to Larg and Tati, but to the rest of the party. I don't want to interrupt or speed this up, but I believe that window is about to close. - Blaven's still staring at the portal, looks back, and says one last time, "Are you sure this is what you want, Larg?" - Yeah, I'm pretty sure.

I've thought about it a lot. You guys go ahead. - Blaven's is going to step away from the portal very quickly, and kind of turn towards the god, and just instantly just fall on his knees in front of her, in like a begging, pleading stance, and he'll kind of wrap his arms around her like a mother, like he's trying to be consoled, and he'll just beg, "Please, please, it means nothing if I go back like this. I'm so old. Please. I'm so old. I go back for what? A year? Two? Please give me some youth. I've got something I can work without. Make a compromise, anything.

I'll worship you, anybody. Please." - Can I get a persuasion check? This is interesting. I want to see something. Like, let's... - He is shamelessly begging, pleading on his knees. - 20's not bad. Obviously, that's a god, but 20's not bad. - She's a little taken aback when you go to grab her, but not in a "oh no, you're going to hurt me" way, just like what? That kind of came out of left field? You didn't seem like the type. Are you so dissatisfied with your current self? - I want to live a full life again. Back then, I was just a servant. I was no one. But now, with my new friends, I can be somebody.

I want to live that life. I want to experience it fully. I don't want to be an old silver fox anymore. I want to be the young, beautiful dog I was. Please. - That's a good thing she's not a genie. You've got to be careful about that wording. And she's going to reach for your hands and help you stand up. If I restore your youth, would you do your best to spread my word throughout the land? Would you help us spark something new? - Yes, teach me your word. Please. I'd spread it. I'd champion it. If I just got to breathe, if I just got more summers, more winters.

Whatever your message, I would spread it. And people would believe. I promise you that. - She's going to reach out and touch your chest. And you can almost feel your heart speed up just a little bit. And then just kind of soothe, calm down. And it feels almost like the first time you pulled an all-nighter with friends. That feeling of just like, "Oh man, this party's never going to end." That type of thing. Just excitement for the future and just everything that might bring. That type of thing. And she's going to pull back after a moment. When you step through the portal, you'll have a chance to relive your life.

And I hope sincerely that I never see you down here again. - If that is your will, then it will be. Please tell me your name. - And she's... it wasn't like she was trying to keep it a secret or anything, but it was just like, there's a lot going on. It's Amber. When you return, do your best to celebrate your new life. And do your best to make sure that others feel that. Every moment that they're alive is a celebration. It should be cherished. And it just, again, overhead that thunder, that lightning is... You should honestly go now. - Are the others close behind?

- We're going to say something? - Blevins is just going to touch his chest. He's just going to scream, "In the name of Ambery, I fly!" And he just jumps through the portal just without a second thought. - I love that we're going to have a new chapter of weird. There's always got to be a... - I really thought it was Agnethra because of the deer thing, but... - Mmm. Mmm. - What's wrong? - And that was Ambery, right? Make sure you put that down. - There's a whole write-up on them. I can send it to you. - Oh, I would love that. - Everyone else? So you're going to watch him just dive in, right?

And just, bloom, disappear. There's kind of like a shimmer and just go on. - It's really ballerina-esque. Chest first, hand back. - Belly flopped right in. - I was thinking like Naruto run. - Bella would probably like just look at Larg and she'd be like, "Make them pay for it." - And then she'd grab Splat's hand and start walking towards the portal and go through. - Yeah, Splat's got a weird gait to his walk. Kind of... - Just kind of like a wind-up duck toy almost. So he's like, almost like a little chimp. Like he's got his, like he's holding your hand and he's walking.

- But he will like stop and kind of like give Larg's thigh like a pat real quick. - Good luck, buddy. Like just kind of like a... - Yeah. - Ew. - You'll give Bella like a respectful, like, bro nod. But to, you know, the office coworker, the tight-lipped, like, "Mmm, look." You give people... - That's what he gives to Splat. It's just like, "Mmm, okay." Which is interesting when you have tusks, I think. - I think that's probably the nicest response that he's gotten from you so far. So that's like, "All right, I'll take it." - He's doing his absolute best. You know, that barely contained rage in murder that he was talking about?

- Sure. - You can see it. - Does Bella go through the portal? - Yeah, yeah. She's going to do her best to walk through hand in hand with Splat at the same time. - And yeah, he's like, again, like he's got his little right, his little right arm, right hand, like in your, in yours, and you're going to go through. What about Joe? - Oh, um, no, there's not a lot of time, but Joe is going to look at Ambry and just... Do you know how I died? - I do, yes. - Is that going to be a problem if I go back? - I can't tell you for sure. However, if it is a problem, I can do my best to help you control it.

- All right, I'm going to hold you to it. - It's kind of like a, like a smile and nod type of thing. - I guess I'm going topside, guys. - That's three out of the four. Tati? - I think Tati would go as soon as she saw Ellen and the group, like headed this way. I don't want to leave them behind either. - And before walking through, it's just gonna look at Clark one last time. - And sort of motion over to Ellen. You better talk to her. - And this would be a thing where like she's coming up like that winding path, but not quite there yet. - And this better not be the last time I see you.

And then she's going to turn around and walk. - As I'd say, you're just a few, you're a few steps away. Right? And after you go through this portal, there is a momentary darkness. - Just everything is just blank. And there is this feeling in your gut, like you're on a roller coaster and the bottom just kind of like drops out of everything. - And there is a, like a sincere falling sensation. Like it's just so it's like, Oh God. And you are going to kind of fall out. - Like you're being dumped out of a chute type of thing. Everyone here had that. Probably it was probably the worst for Blevins because he kind of pirouetted into the portal.

- And then he's just kind of reckless abandoned like jackass style go through. So there is a really just kind of a rough cobblestone floor that he's going to spill out onto. And that kind of like his hair pulled back is going to like come loose. - And it is just luxurious. It kind of went from being scraggly and kind of like, you know, kind of pulled back to like Fabio levels of, you know, just like when you hit that floor, when Blevins hits the floor, he's gonna, he's gonna brace himself. - And he's like, Oh, I'm shocked. This is going to hurt. And it doesn't, it doesn't hurt that bad.

Like it's, it's, it's like you're, you're sore. It's like, Oh, I could have done without that. But this isn't like, Oh, my bones have shattered. Like you, you like you can feel this like youthful exuberance. Like you it's like, Holy shit. Holy shit. Like it's kind of like, Oh my God. Oh my God, that, that type of thing. And again, just that feeling like, guys, everything's going to be okay. We're going to fucking party forever. Let's do this shit like that type of thing. And one by one, you're gonna, you're gonna see, you know, the, the, the party kind of get dumped out.

And, you know, I, you know, Joe is going to come through, Todd is going to come through the fucking, Vela was, you know, holding Splats hand. And through, through being dumped out, obviously, like you kind of lose that, lose his hand somewhere like you lose that grasp. But like, it's it, you don't remember letting go, but like, you just kind of feel like it's like, Oh, shit, boom, like, it's probably just the tumble or the, you know, teleporting or whatever it is. And one by one, you're going to kind of get yourself together, there's kind of a momentary disorientation, right?

Like you can like senses are going to almost wake up like you can, you can smell the night air, like there is a like a like, kind of a crisp, like wet grass smelly, but you're taking it in. And you realize you're in, you're, you're in some kind of like, like you're in some kind of building, something like that. And like, looking up, there's, it's probably like 25, 30 feet of just kind of busted up cobblestone type of type of building. And you can tell it's nighttime, because of the little cracks and stuff in the building, you can look out and kind of see moonlight.

And you're, you're kind of taking a tally. And you can, it's like, okay, everyone seems to have come through the portal, and you're looking for splat, and you don't see him, like you, that's the one member of the party, it's like, okay, okay. But strangely enough, there is a fifth member of the party. And it's, it's this, this, this kind of tall barrel chested guy, like you can, you can kind of see that it's like, okay, like you, he's rolled over, but like, he's, he's wearing a full suit of armor, capo, all that kind of stuff like, and he's kind of hunched over like he's getting up to, but you can kind of see how you lost your grip.

Because he has no right hand. Um, kind of a kind of a, you know, kind of a good looking guy, like, you know, somewhere around like 6162, something like that, he looks almost regal, like he almost like he's, you know, like he he comes from like, it's like, okay, the way he's kind of carrying himself instantly, like, nothing like splat. And as you guys are getting your yourselves kind of like picked up and you're brushing this off, you're going to hear a shit ton of noise. And it sounds like there are people. I, it sounds like there's clattering metal and slamming doors.

It sounds like there are dozens and dozens of footsteps and boot prints and just like slapping, pounding. And all of a sudden, like that's going to stop as that gateway seals, so you're dumped out and then blam and there's kind of a loud noise that accompanies it. And then that you can hear like pounding, pounding, like mad, frantic, crazy pounding and it's coming from like an echoey, anti chamber type of thing like up some big room and there's only one hallway leading out of this, this place that you're in. And you're going to hear that pounding stop.

And then you're going to hear running wet, barefoot slapping against wet cobblestone running, frantic, angry, hungry running and spilling around that corner are a bunch of these pale looking like you guess they, they might be people. But they look like they are starving and they are going to run just almost like water spilling into this hallway frantically reaching out for you. And I think that's a good time for us to stop for the night. Oh, dear. Oh, dear. You. So many things. We did it. For reference, could I is okay. Is Ablennen feeling 40 years old type of or 30 years old or 20 years old?

You're like like 23 like you are. Man. Yeah. Less Amber. Good Lord. 23 again? Oh, yeah. Yeah. Like he shouted everywhere. 23 again. Ah. The hell was I doing with Darmok? Right. It was such a ride. Right. Like, do we know who spot is? Yeah, he's been looking familiar. Yeah, I know who he is. Well, sorry, Lisa. I'm trying to remember. I'm sorry. I'm like, because my mind went. I was like, no, it's not this person. They were burned. Do you remember way back when in arc one? There's a guy named Ian. Oh, no. Yeah. Damn it. He was so endearing as a demon. That's so funny because my mind went to Nathaniel and I was like, no, no, he was burned.

He didn't. He's not missing a hand. He's still alive. Remember? I just couldn't remember his name. It was Ian. This would be fun. This would be a fun new group dynamic. I can't wait. Wow. Where do you guys find out where you are? If you haven't pieced that together yet. I feel like I know that too, but I'll take a guess. No, you'll wish you were. Are we in Donhurst? You're goddamn right you are. They're like vampires, aren't they? Goddamn it. Nighttime. What the hell? They want us to go right back. We were needed. They said we were needed desperately. It's like a bad save scum thing in Baldur's Gate 3.

It's like, ah, shit, I got to go back to another save file now. Shit. Where are the fucking ravens? Mark sits down with a magazine and looks up and they're all there. He's like, what the hell, guys? I don't I don't know if you're listening to them, but the Raiders are on the other side of the door. That's what they're pounding on. And in their session, how much did it take to do that? Yeah, the pounding stopped in their session and the reason it stopped is because they're after you now. Oh, yeah, oh, yeah. Cool, cool, cool, cool, cool, cool, cool, cool. Jamison, " Hi there Backarc." Since session one, that was the plan.

Yeah, that was the plan. I didn't know if it was going to happen, honestly, but that was the plan. Yeah, it took a little bit to get here. No, I knew he wasn't going to leave. He was never going to leave. So, wow, I get it, but are you taking a break? Are you rerolling? What are you going to do? No, I'll reroll unless that's it. Like if I'm only if you only want me for Larg, I guess. No, no, no, no. I want you for you. Yeah, yeah. No, I've got a couple of ideas. Nothing concrete. I was really worried. I was like, oh, my God, is this like a some thing we're supposed to let happen?

And it's just like he hasn't told us and I was going to cry. Then I was just going to shut my camera off and walk away. Yeah, like, yeah. And he never spoke to us again. Yeah, that was weird. Oh my God. He blocked me. Like you were selling me crypto. Oh, God. But speaking of which, I do have a stunning opportunity for you. Please don't go anywhere after the session. I got a crypto platform. Yeah, no. Join our Patreon and you too can learn about. Let me tell you guys about PIP and coin. It is a revolutionary form of. You can spend in two places at once to the moon.

It's going to the. Awful. Yeah, no, I'm glad it worked out the way more or less the way I my plan was to wait until everybody had gone through and to like pull somebody back at the very end and be like, see it. We won't allow it. Yeah. Guys, good thing I am a full cleric, because you know what? I have a ton of radiance damage. Well, we got to figure out what's that is down to. Yeah. You got to turn undead on you, because that might be good to shoot down that hallway. Possibly turn some undead. Yeah. Yeah. You know, everybody's clerics now, right? I mean, I'm a warlock, but I don't really feel like I'm attached to anything as a warlock.

No, I don't feel that in my soul anymore. Zach, we got to talk, baby. All right. You know, I don't want to go too crazy, but, you know, and I mean, my soul. Oh, yeah, she's up in there. Yeah. You were naked at the time, too, so like it was it was more effective. You didn't touch my insanity, so that's not going anywhere. I mean, I think it's just redirecting that for, you know, I mean, just like it's a different flavor now and it's it's. Yeah. If anything, you were tempered by old age. Now you can really let loose. Oh, yeah. No, it's really barrel chest. Like I take a scratch.

Yeah. Yeah. Superman. Pop pop pop pop pop. Just like just that real girl. Girl energy like you can. Yeah. Yeah. Get that boy some snaps. Oh, that was weird. Before in the name of Ambry, we are going to party. That is where you're going to have to either invent stripper pants or that is where a bulk of your gold is going. Like, guys. Yeah, guys. I got a new fashion statement. Nightgowns. And that's how you bring things into the world of D&D, right? You had to be inspired and like like certain random situations happen and boom, you have popcorn in the end. The all of a sudden, you know, it is just it happens.

That's a chocolate leavings. Oh, yeah. I can't wait now. Now, now the Ravens will slowly figure out that there's a crossover coming. Oh, shoot. And what what a weird party's to happen like that. That'll be that'll be interesting energy. I'm excited. I'm excited. This is awesome. Oh, Lisa, I'm so sorry. Splats going to be a prick now. Like he's kind of like, I'm so excited. He always gave me this iffy feeling to. I love him so much. You should just let Blevins devour him when he would. Maybe you can change him. Maybe I can fix him, guys. Yeah, you just don't know him like I do.

Like, does he remember his time as Splat? Yeah, he'll remember. I mean, he's like nobody around like me. Yeah. When nobody's around, he's such a sweetheart. Yeah. He just really needs me. You guys, I'm the only one who understands him. What if he has like this weird complex? He just completely falls in love. Yeah. Just a soft spot completely for Vella. And that's it. Everybody else is just. Yeah, you just hate everybody else. You just have a deep connection. Oh, I can't remember everything. It's all though. I'd be great. Yeah. Or he'll be incredibly pissed off that he was reduced to that station and had to rely on someone else for protection.

And like, I mean, who knows? We'll see. It sounds more like him. Oh, I just remember what he did in like the library. Oh, yeah. Yeah. He's a real piece of shit. If anyone deserved to be there, it was him. Yeah. Like all coming back to me now, like he was like, yeah, he's a big old hunk of garbage. I can't wait to play him again. Send him back. And he's the reason for punishment. It's like, see, this is why no one can leave. We fucked up already. First batch. Like that guy was like, man, he definitely deserved to be here. All the refugees, all these ladies, all just murderers, just just just real hardcore killers, just like somewhere out there.

Yenward's ghost is like, the fuck? I am so excited for that. It's going to be great. Ah, well. Tomorrow's Monday, I'm going to let you guys go. Thank you so much. I'm glad we got a session in. I got to send you here, Jamie. I got to send you a new printer cable, I guess. I don't even. Yeah, we'll get the printer cable. It'll just work for no reason. But like when a new arc within an arc. And Jana-san, we got to we got to figure out what's up, like what we're going to do. We can talk. I'm feeling like bard. I don't know. Just throwing it out there. I OK. I do want to tell you about an exciting opportunity.

It's not crypto. But OK, what's coming up in the campaign is going to be some real Belmont vibes, is all I'm saying. So if that helps with inspiration, we need to talk then, because that's those lines I was on. Oh, yeah, that's that's that's like almost one to one where I am anyway. So yes, that's awesome. I love it when a plan comes together. OK, sweet. All right. I'll let you guys go. Wait, actually, hold on. Let me save this recording.
