I hate starting off sessions with combat, but that is exactly where we find ourselves.

You guys are honing in. You're you're almost to your destination, which is the staff that has a magical hold on a Ruth Ammar. And standing in your way currently are two very large frost salamanders. Some would even call them huge. So if you would be so kind as to add yourselves to the combat tracker and roll initiative button. So something I'm going to start doing is letting you guys know what the odds are here, roughly. Oh, good. Oh, good. Well, the reason. So I have installed many mods to foundry foundry is a wonderful tabletop, highly customizable. There's going to be a Mandy button in one of the releases.

It's going to be great. This this combat encounter is rated hard with an exclamation point and it's red. So like it was epic a second ago before Cribb jumped in. So, yeah, see, decision maker right here. Yeah. I'm the reason. I don't know if you can see it. Oh, I want to see it. You know, you got to be you've got to get licensed first. OK, so for round one, it's going to be Zozo, Clover, Frost Salamander, Olmo, Cribb, Frost Salamander.

So last we met, Zozo was still kind of like taking a rest, doing his packed weapon thing, and then going internally, making some sort of deal inside of him. And at the end of that, he felt that chain loosen and something that was attached to it, kind of like running down the street. Couple with that, a strange demon lady gave him demon powers. And now he's kind of like surging with all of that at once. And he hears the rest of the group going, yo, yo, yo, yo, big two big dudes.

Those were your words. I remember. It's canon. Yeah. Yeah. And so he snaps out of it, kind of just opens his eye, wakes up and then catches on dark flames. And I want to use that once a day, turn into a demon thing. How does that work? Oh, shoot. So here it kind of just surges out like he doesn't even control it. So there's a couple of good things and a couple of bad things. Good thing is it essentially counts as raging for the most part. So regular bludgeoning, bludgeoning, piercing, slashing, that damage is cut in half. Cool. Unless it's magical. Then, you know, in in this particular case, you are immune to fire damage like of any kind.

You are you are susceptible to holy damage, though. So you got to watch out for that. I don't think these salamanders are going to I don't think they're they're clergymen or anything. So you're fine. But, you know, and it being like a rage, can I still cast spells or is that you're fine? So this is this is kind of magical rage. So you're fine. Any spells you cast, you get to what level are you? Nine, seven, eight, eight, eight. Yeah. Yeah. That's right. Ryan, Mandy are special. Oh, that's right. Oh, yeah, that's right. So you get to add one d six to any spell that hits.

All right. Well, let's do it. He said he he had a vision where he sprouted wings. Does he have wings? Can he fly or is that not not really? I just areas. So I know three minutes have gone by on the timer. No, no, no, no, no. This it's going to grow with levels. So right now it's more like horns. Picture more Hellboy like perfect. You know what I mean? And he's going to toss a fireball between both to hit both, basically. Oh, that's yeah. That's that's not good. I can tell you right now for free. These guys don't like fire. Frost's element is feeling there. Yeah, this is real Pokemon right now. It's it's super effective if it hits like so it's going to be 86 plus one D six, you said for the raging. So it's going to be 96 fire damage. Well, I know what they need to save. Yeah. I was about to say I do get to try dexterity save. Right. And just what am I shooting for? Fourteen, I believe. Yes. And each creature in the area.

Yeah. Like I think it just has ten foot reach. It's like a pole arm. Yeah. Yeah. Just as a longer reach. That's fair. I think a whip still hurts if you're standing within five feet of somebody. You know, the thing where like you roll it a little bit in your hand that's holding the handle and then you get shorter whip.

Zozo kind of still incapable of controlling the unleashed demon fire energy, still like wailing at the thing that's on the ground until I guess his fuel burns out. Yeah, it doesn't last long. Like you kind of get it a minute at a time. And you know, I mean, like it's not great, but. Those heels are.

You are finally at the mountaintop and you're going to see as you're as you're cresting over the top, you're clawing over and you're picking yourself up. The wind is just torrential like it takes it takes almost everything you have not to fall off.

You're you're you're low to the ground. You can see that staff just planted into the ground between some rocks and you can see the light kind of pulsing out of it. But you are not alone on this mountaintop. There is what appears to be a giant. And this thing is facing away from you. And it's kind of got its legs dangling off the mountain and it's just kind of like peering out into the distance, and it seems to have a really relaxed position, and it's just sort of enjoying the view. But it's it's up here. How would you guys like to handle the situation?
