Meanwhile, the rest of the group is exploring down in the basement and get to talk to a facsimile of Abernathy. They find out that something is going to be hunting for them. And Fenris speaks with his patron about maybe making a deal. The group have a choice to make as they get to trade away the back portion of their lives and shave off X amount of years in exchange for leveling up. Some of them take the deal, some of them don't. But in the end, the mage hunting creature is coming and they have to defend themselves. Also, before we jump into today's episode, we are still filling spots for Patreon groups.

I'm Kelsey, and I play Calypso Lovelace, the half elf bard, they/them. And Michael. Hey, I'm Michael, and I play Fenris Masura, the human warlock charlatan. And Ian. Hey, I'm Ian, he/him, Enni, and I play Bittersweet, the Thetan Endurant he/they.

And the most dangerous player of all, Valerie. Hi, everyone. I'm Valerie. [LAUGHTER] A shiver just went down my spine. I'm Valerie. I use she/her pronouns. And I'm playing Matilda Wolfram, the human rogue. Well, I think we've built this up enough. We know we got a boss fight. We know that we know it's time. So this small circular room, you guys are stuck in right now. After the mental image of leveling up and everything flashes by, everyone's just going to be dumped into the present, right? So you just boom. Tani and Dagon still are not in the room with you, but all the lights are just going to go out.

And a couple of kind of red emergency lights are going to come on. The hologram is gone. All that, like there's essentially no power down here. Whatever magical force was creating stuff, it's just it's fizzled out. It's gone. And distantly, kind of echoing, you're just going to hear like a skitter, like like like it sounds like. It sounds like someone taking like metal chopsticks and like poking, poking metal like like that. Um, Tani and Dagon were heading downstairs and kind of boom, got got hit with this. After you guys get dumped out, anyone who took, you know, a large, a large amount of levels here obviously just had a good portion of your life shaved away.

It is gone. And you're going to feel that not in terms of like aging, because that's not how it works. It shaved the back end off. But there's going to be kind of a hollowness, like a like an emptiness. Just just you're going to feel something like you're missing. Something. But it's really tough to put a finger on. And both Tani and Dagon are almost going to fall down the stairs. Just it's kind of you're you're in motion. You're you're in the void, kind of contemplating this decision. And then boom, you're back. It's like, oh, God, you know, you're just about to fall down, but you kind of catch yourselves.

But it's it's going to hit both of you. Would Dagon stop to say anything or because you were running to to catch up with the rest of the party because you know something's about to attack them. But yeah, like, how would you feel after a decision? Because you took the most levels out of all the other players. He did, but I think he's more interested on what he gained from it as opposed to what he lost. Sure. But if he feels that sort of loss of life on the other end, he'd probably stop at least for a second and sort of catch his breath. But then also try to to feel what he gained from it, too.

Does he feel stronger? Does he feel, you know, that aura or whatever? But I don't I don't know if now is the time to stop and talk about anything because they're kind of. Well, do they know do they know what's coming? Tani had a really good inkling, and she stopped to explain it enough that, hey, that thing that was chasing us. Well, it's here and it's somewhere in the house. And yeah, like she was given a heads up. It's like, oh, it's attacking our friends. We better take care of that. And I think every class kind of has their own way of judging growth in terms of power, expertise, all that stuff, right?

Like if you're a rogue, you you you just feel as though it's like, oh, wow, there's a there's maybe a newfound confidence or something like it. It's like, hey, that looks OK. I can handle that. I can scale that. I could, you know, like you just feel a little more relaxed with a blade in your hand or whatever. Like you just feel that just, you know, I imagine for an Aladrin, you you kind of know what you're capable of when you get angry and you use that as a channeling tool for magic and you compared to what you could do. It almost feels unending. Like you feel like you could tear the entire house down if you wanted to.

Right. I wouldn't because, you know, it's not yours. Be kind of rude. Well, like you you at the very least right now, you feel like you could just take on the world. Right. In terms of doing damage, I wouldn't get hit too many times because you're still Dagon. But like giving it like if someone stood there and took it. Oh, man. So, yeah. I mean, feeling that he probably flex a little, maybe, you know, light up a bit. Oh, sort of like, OK, testing himself out, but also check me out. I don't know. Is there a sense that everybody got this or as far as he knows, is it just him?

You you definitely got the sense that everyone was presented with this. And what's interesting about this is, you know, everyone's going to have to filter this through like today, gone. This was a no brainer. Would Dagon think that everyone else would feel the same? It's like, yeah, it's a no brainer. Like, of course, he would. Right. So, you know what I mean? Like it's like, oh, if I gave you a million dollars to punch your friend or something, it's like, yeah, let's go. But like, not everyone would do that. It would depend on the friend if it's Valerie.

She would fold like laundry. I couldn't do that. But if it were Michael, I don't know. I know I think I think I just do it if I split it with you. Is that cool? So he would probably think going going coming down these stairs to whatever they're going to face, that everyone is like top form ready for this. Right. Like you're walking into a group of Navy SEALs like everyone. And and here's the thing. Tanny's obviously going to, you know, there's a moment where you guys almost fall. So there's like a stopping. And like she's her well of power is completely different than yours.

And she's always had the knowledge to cast these upper echelon spells, but her body couldn't keep up with it. So now there's a sense of it's like, wait, I I think I could attempt some of these and I could really help out. And especially like if you're if you're doing a little flexing, like you're just like, oh, look at that. Like, they're they're definitely be like. At the very least, a sound like, oh, like that, that type of thing. And then later, later, later, like just just and then a continuation of running down there. And we come down and everyone's like flexing in the mirror.

Yeah. This this completely gets an edge on you guys because you're so busy like, oh, oh, who? Yeah. What about Fenris? Let's let's go back to let's go back to round room people, because everyone but. Kelsey and Val took this deal in a big, bad way. So while they did level up a bit, if they didn't sign any of their life away for this like you guys did. So obviously lights go out, you hear distant skittering, it sounds echoey. So it doesn't sound like it's coming from the room you're in. But you know that something's up. Is there any is there any looking at each other to like like a quick it's like, did you do it like that type of thing or do you not care because monsters here like?

Calypso immediately rolls on Fenris and just what the fuck was that? A gift. Clearly, you don't know what the definition of a gift is, but this this is at the time focus on surviving, I guess if. Luckily, it looks like none of us took enough to kill anyone outright, at least not yet. It'll happen, but we need to make sure it's not by whatever this is that's coming. And we need to meet up with Dagon and Danny. Can I get an athletics check for Dagon, please? Who, by the way, now has like four hairs on his lip and on his chin. Nice. He gets totally by a beer now, like he could pass for.

Yeah. Athletics. There we go. That was delayed. Oh, it's good, though. 16. So. What we're going to do here is you guys are going to make it down to the basement and you're on the other side, right? You're you're at that entrance. So the same that same foyer type of thing where where Matilda was messing around with switches and levers and stuff like that. So Danny and Dagon are over there. Everyone else is going to hear running like you're going to hear a commotion. They're not being quiet. And while it sounds a bit further away than that, skittering, it is also going to sound like people.

It doesn't sound like a monstrosity. Unless Dagon walks funny, but I don't, you know, like I have a strut now. Like Paul Atreides, like the Fremen across the dunes. Arrakis. Sam, look. You're going to I imagine Tani kind of walks heavy like clumpy boots, like that type of thing.

Like I imagine Dagon is lighter on his feet, even though Tani's smaller, like you're going to hear. I would say with a 20, you'd be able to tell that it's two people, right? And it doesn't take a genius to figure out what's going on. But you do know that skittering is closer to you. So in between you two groups. Is the monster. What would you like to do? I would like to give a motivational speech without them. They're coming. They're coming. Are you yelling? You want to yell? Is there so OK, for inspirational purposes, is this is there a footage limit? The range is 60 feet, so.

OK, well, that it well. Hold on. Technically, there are walls in between you, though. I got muffled. The doors are open, though, so like here's here's what we're going to do. So if I combine that with motivational speech. Go for it. You know what I can I do? This is an emergency. Telepathic motivational speech, I think is extra motivational, if I'm going to be honest. They're combining chakra energies.

Yeah, so I think like everyone's like, so just kind of like just sort of like close their eyes and just take like a deep breath and then like everyone just like in. Oh, so this actually just ties into the stuff that I was doing with bittersweet. So like through like kind of like in your mind, place, they're sort of thinking back on that and reaching out to Tani and Dagon and to everyone else to just sort of feel like the like the faintest hint of like a melody playing in your head and then like Calypso just is going to say. There are words that we will have to have after, but first there has to be an after.

Whatever this thing is, we have the skills and talents to overcome this, whatever that may end up looking like. Despite everything, I do believe in us. And that's going to cast motivational speech. I feel inspired. Can I get in trouble after one? What to do? So motivational speech. This is a spell that I inspire everyone to greatness. So I choose. So for each affected creature, you get five temporary hit points, which didn't apply to the target thing. We were. And you have advantage on wisdom saving throws. And this lasted for. An hour, yes. And if you're hit by an attack, you have advantage on your next attack.

Cool. But and then all all those effects end once the spell. Toward the end of your speech. There's going to be like a like a crackle, like interference. And. You can tell that this thing is honing in on you and you're going to hear that skitter and get louder. And it's it's fast, like before it might have been sniffing out or searching. Now it's it's making a beeline and you could tell it's near the doorway you're in, but you don't see it. So it has to be on the ceiling. And you're going to see these tiny kind of a kind of a skeletal arachnid legs. Like kind of peer in through the door, kind of like touching, like just kind of honing in and more and more are going to emerge through the door.

And this kind of a stretched out predator face is going to start to slide. It's flat and wide with mandibles. Just yeah, this thing is disgusting and coming through the door. And I cast something before it does. Like it's. It won't be it's it myself. I wanted to do it like after, but hit me. Go, go, go. So I was going to do my special armor ability that I got. Maybe it'll keep us alive. So seeing maybe as a reaction almost seeing these things, I see it and then start is like almost like diamond like plates start going around me and then like goes around me in a like a field.

My AC becomes 13 plus my dex mod. So should be 15. 15. OK. Yeah. Also, everyone, you can add your your 510 HP if you just like hover over the spot next to your hit points on the character sheet, just type in five. Cool. Bittersweet is going to look over at Calypso, and he's put away the the little slate at this point. So everything is nonverbal. And he just gives them a little nod and sort of like steps in front of everyone facing the door, facing all of these arms and like clinches his fists. And you can see the sort of like black, flamey, shadowy energy just begin to like come off of him like like smoke or steam.

And you oh, and you see Dumpy like obviously flexing up just like. Oh, yeah. Wait, that's an important question. Did Dumpy take any levels? I think Dumpy probably was like, I'm a rat and I don't live very long. I think taking levels assumes that Dumpy hasn't perfected the class of rat. That's true. And yeah, yeah. He might be prestiging by now, but like he's definitely, you know. Yeah. Level 20 rad. Must be nice. Oh, God. That's a good picture, Jason. Thank you. I don't like it. So it does three D six plus three piercing damage, plus five D six necrotic damage. And if the target is a creature that uses magic, the target's hit point maximum is reduced by an amount equal to the necrotic damage taken. Oh, that nasty. Yeah. When you finish a long rest, you get him back. But that's so boy. I like how how in the text at the chat just says if the target is a creature, target is a creature. All of you. Yeah. I would imagine that it's it's it's just kind of like like a puncture type of thing. And it's it's it's almost springing back waiting for you to to retort. You know, so however, if you were webbed up, it would have been, you know, it just would have held on. Right. Gotcha. OK, Tanny's going to let's see, five, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30. Shit. She can't do a ton because she's so far away. She's going to double move into the room and that's going to be her turn. You could have gone if you had gone straight diagonal up, though, you'd have a line of sight. She wants to try and buff everybody is the thing.

I mean, oh, I just I covered it up with my character sheet. It's fine. OK. Well, a minute of the timer has been eaten talking about the timer, like I think it's doing its job. Now I have anxiety. OK, the first thing I want to do is like disengage slash backup. Yeah, this thing has a 10 foot reach, so. Yeah, I just want to say a step back that I know is probably can still hit me, but it's, you know, it's so it gets an opportunity attack if you do that. Oh, wait. You can't like this. OK, you have to take the disengage action if you want to do that. Gotcha. OK.

In that case, I'm going to give bittersweet. Yes, I'm going to do clip so like after dodging the the gook and while Matilda's getting bitten, they get out their violin and just play a little few couple notes in bittersweet and give you a bardic inspiration. Oh, let's see if I can get this on the table or not. Is that a D8? Yes, I'm going to try. Yeah, I don't know why it has a damage, but because it doesn't. It says damage, it'll do the thing. Yeah. And also just FYI, because of my Apology of Intrudence, if you fail your like whatever role you make with the bardic inspiration, you get to keep it and reuse it.

So. Oh, OK. Cool. Good to know. Yeah. So just you got that. Good job. So that was my bonus action. And then. I guess I'm going to I guess I'm going to use vicious mockery. I don't know. Yeah, I mean, the lip so just. Well, let's see if this even works. I am curious about the whole magic thing is might end up in the butt, but that's really all I can do. So I'm going to. You see me. Pardon me. And so I'm I'm staring it down, making sure they're away and not near me. And then what seems like it comes out of nowhere, little portals open up and make sure target him. How do I target him? Look. You don't even worry about targeting. I got you. Cool. I got you. We'll do. Five arms had over. And level five is like. Arms almost look at things I will say it's like tendrils that come out and all purple mist and they all just go around me and they only hit this guy. But because it's at fifth level, it got into one D six for each level. So that makes it a five D six.

Oof. OK, but first I got to 20 to see if it hits. Right. No, it's a strength saving throw. That's right. That's right. Yeah. So the strength is not it's it's major things. So I'm shooting for a 16 or 14. Nope, it fails. Then I'll do damage. Oh, 66. Cool, right. I mean, OK, well. Eighteen damage, and it can't take reactions until it's next. The yeah, until it's next turn. Yeah. So that was the chronic damage and then seeing that it got hurt, it knows it can be damaged by his spell. He grins and pulled out his arm and tendrils come out. We're not like purple tendrils come out.

And he casts his shadow blade as a bonus action. You're just summoning it. You're not attacking, right? No, it takes a bonus action to summon. And I think it takes an action to actually use it. That adds up. Don't give warlocks too much like we got to pump the brakes on that. Yeah. When you get me to attack, that makes sense. Yeah. Yeah. It's Hilda, you're up. Clock's ticking. Go. OK, so your combat tracker over the clock. So I, uh, Matilda already got bit, so she's going to take a step back. And. Then she's she's going to take out her short bow and try and try and hit the the big bad, the big bad guy.

Twenty two will hit. And I believe you get sneak attack as well because Fenris is is all up in it. Yes, I do. All right. So I guess I'll do regular damage first. Oh, maximum damage eight. 3D6. Another nine damage. And just to make sure I'm not being silly, the disengage is like when you're right next to them. Right. And you want to like take a step back. It can't take reactions on this because it can't take reactions. That's the only thing, say, because it's got a 10 foot reach. So when you step back, normally it would try to fight. Oh, it has a 10 foot reach.

And coming at coming out of it are several like tentacles that look like xenomorph mouths that just sort of like like bite into this thing with jaws of dripping goo.

And as this like black energy is like roiling off of him and then he's going to follow it up with an extra attack and try and punch punch this thing. We're the scary group with a fourth punch force punch. Do you still have your temporary hit points? I do for now, because that means you get an advantage on attacks or something. No, you get advantage on a wisdom saves. Oh, just kidding. Never mind. Just if it was attacks, I would have been saved. If we if we get hit every couple of seconds. Yeah. If we get hit, we get advantage. I think was part of the. Yes. If you hit a job.

Yeah, I assumed it didn't work because it didn't work for me because I lost all of it. I'm looking that up right now. I'm not sure what order that goes in because that. Keep keep going. Gotcha. Yep. So yeah. So then he's going to reel back with his fist and it's going to look like it's just like covered in these like bony spurs to this creature. Just like like they just look like they're like they are growing out of his arm and his fist. And then he's going to like try and punch them in to add a little. Two of its back legs are going to kind of rear up and break like you're going to hear the appendages like snap and it's actually going to sink in to like it's kind of got a light carapace on its back and it's going to strip away its own hard shell and skin underneath.

And what's going to erupt out of that is going to like thousands of these tiny tendrils are going to stick to the ceiling and just kind of erupt. And it is going to do damage to itself in the form of half of its remaining hit points. Oh, and it's going to add itself to the combat tracker again. Oh, no, it's going to get two turns and any status effects. So it's no longer poisoned. It is just what was poisoned is gone. So. Let's add a second. Let's add a second one. Oh, God. So it's going to go at the end of of that. So, yeah. How did it roll a five point five on initiative?

It I just dragged it to the end. So whatever is the lowest, it just it just it's like bidding a dollar on prices, right? Where it's just like, yeah. All right. It's still one creature, though, right? It just gets two turns. Yes, correct. God, it's going to be some nasty sound effects on the bed. Oh, my God. It's so great. So wait till it gets its second turn, too, because those tendrils are going to come into play. It's going to be amazing. You're going to love it. Yeah, you're going to have your hands in a lot of wet spaghetti. If you don't get to the second turn, my child, we probably will.

To me, it sounds like a thing where the the motivational speech lasts until the temp hit points because like you're bolstered by. Yeah. And I mean, so if you're hit, it's like, fuck out. Like it, you know, kind of brings you back down to where you were. OK. It's so weird, though, that, oh, I guess maybe the whole the point is to like encourage you to cast at a higher level. So you get more temp. Yes, but you only can get this as a base third level spell. Like that's the thing. By the time you're hitting spells, that level is like three things. I might swap it out next level up.

Listen, it tried to attack me and it got PTSD. True. I'd like to think it wonders if I'm even really there.

She is going to just plunge this into her palm and really root around like she's in an like extreme pain, and she's going to do twenty five damage to herself in order to cast Loathsome Puppet. She is going to sprint and latch on, kind of grab this thing. You touch an unwilling creature until the end of combat. Whenever damage is done to the targeted creature, they must succeed a con saving throw or die immediately before they can fall to the ground.

All limbs separate from the body. Cool. And pull outward violently in equal proportions. These limbs are still connected only by congealed blood and fragmented bone. It goes on from there. There's more stuff, but it's horrific. And, you know, yes. It's a lot of body horror tonight, friends. Yeah, as long as you're doing sound effects, let's. You know. So any time any damage is done to this thing, it has to roll a constitution saving throw against Tani spell save. And if it fails, it dies immediately and it becomes this twisted, horrific puppet under your control.

Oh, that's where the puppet part comes in. Yeah. Yeah. Love it. Matilda, you're off. Calypso was not expecting that. When did it hurt by the way? I mean, it was going to. Tani's not quite like Tani's never been able to do this one before without it, you know, possibly killing her outright. So it's like, oh, I want to try this thing. But it's time and a place probably after this. After this, you know. I think it's sick as hell. Hell as hell. So it's funny because Tani was like right next to Matilda. And so like out of the corner, Matilda's eyes, she sees Tani just stab her man real good and then just run right at the creature.

Which is horrifying. So Matilda will stay back where she is and shoot a little another pew pew arrow. Oh, man. So you get a plus two for oof. So even with a plus two, that's twelve. No, I'm afraid not. What's the plus two for? Well, any time there's you can't get advantage, but because there's people next to it, it adds a plus two to any ranged attacks to it. I would that plus two have helped me? No, I know I did that one. But it will bring you up to 14. And that was just a couple shy. That sucks. Because that's all I can do. OK, well, I shoot my arrow and it it goes, you don't get an extra attack or anything.

I don't think so. Not that I'm aware of. I can ranged dash disengage or hide nothing. Oh, you didn't hide. You don't get sneak attack. I'll be out to hit. Have it hit. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, that's right. You didn't take levels. So you're yeah. So yeah, yeah, yeah. Rose, you get uncanny dodge and stuff, though. So, yeah. Oh, God. OK, you're that's you sure that's it? I think so. I mean, I wouldn't be surprised if I am missing something. But I got excited because I figured out how to target him. I was so excited. I'm sorry. There will be many more fights, I'm sure. Don't worry.

I'm sure. All right, so this is going to get horrific. OK, so the Mage Hunter has this this turn at the end of the combat round and thousands of these, you know, these very thin, goopy tendrils have just connected themselves to the ceiling and walls. And with one kind of ripping motion, the body is going to duck down and thousands of these cocooned objects are going to be plucked from the body. And because these tendrils are so tall, they get launched like sticky hands all over the room and hatch midway. So there are these flying, sharp insect things.

Now, what's interesting about this is normally they would then fall from the sky and there'd be saving throws and there'd be just, you know. But because it just took damage, it has to roll a Constitution saving throw. And if it doesn't beat the save, technically, all of these things die and become puppeted with this thing. So it'd be this amalgamation of insect larva and winged. So let's let's do that first. Let's roll a Constitution saving throw. Jesus Christ, that's a seven. So it is going to lower itself almost like it's like it just dies. Thousands of these things are just going to hatch, rip apart, but midway into their flight, Tani's blood that is oozing from her palm is going to like soak into this creature and become one with these tendrils, pulling it back down.

The limbs of this thing are going to break and separate from the creature, but be connected with bone and blood and tissue. And it is going to kind of like rise up, but be very obviously dead. And Tani's going to kind of back away from it like she didn't expect that to be the final result. It was supposed to be more elegant or something, and she's going to like stumble back from it like, oh, God, it is horrific and it is now under your control. This thing is massive. It's the size of a goddamn Buick. And it is an affront to gods. It is hanging together and I just the room is coded in bits of it, and it's still part of this thing.

That'll take you out of combat. Is that like leave it here? Can we just close the door and is the puppet thing like permanent? So to continue. The creature now increased in size by one and will continue to attack all nearby creatures. You cannot command the target. It will collapse upon itself and die the moment nothing living exists within 20 feet of it. Now, that doesn't start until another round goes by. But being as how. It has been torn apart like this and Tani's backing off, like I think she would be telling everybody it's like, run, run, run, run, run.

Like just. Oh, wait, wait. I'm what did you think? I'm confused. So it turns into a puppet, but it keeps attacking everybody. So what this is usually used for is let's say you're fighting a bunch of wolves or orcs or something like that, right? You kill one of them and then fucking run. And it is going to fight all of the remaining creatures. So but so and if we run, it'll if it doesn't have anything around it, it just it'll cease to. Yeah, it'll just die. Yeah. OK. And it won't come back? No. Calypso having no idea what the hell Tani just did, but seeing a lot of blood magic stuff going on in the city, and Tani says run Calypso's like, OK, everyone's a little proud here.

It's they just start taking it off like it's I imagine just closing the door behind it to that circular room. So everyone moving out of it and and like Tani's kind of got her hand close to like her chest, just kind of like trying to stop that bleeding. But as soon as you guys make it to the door and turn around to shut it, you're going to hear this thing start to fall apart bit by bit and piece by piece. You know, it is. It sounds like water balloons full of Kool-Aid, like just splashing and just over ripened pumpkins and stuff just all over. And as you shut the door, you're going to hear this thing just kind of spatter and congeal and fall to the ground.

That will officially take you out of combat. We don't close the door. I leave it open. I want to see it. Yeah. Like if so, like she's like, it's not it ain't it? Like she's she's traumatized. She's like, I just I wanted to help, but I didn't think that. I thought it would be a little more. I reach out and try and put like a comforting hand on on Tani as we stand in the doorway. Big fear nightmare mode. Yes. Yeah. A hand from your Dizzy comes out dressed up at Tani and Ed. Here's the thing. Normally, that'd be terrifying. You're in competition with that. Like that's not fair, you know.

And you know, she knows you. You're you you you wouldn't hurt a fly. But I put the non bone spurred hand on those bunch of students. And she'd probably like again, like you could imagine like the artwork of it, like she would probably grab your hand as like a like a comforting like, you know, because she's horrified. Like that came out of her technically. And I like you imagine training for it's like, OK, one day I'm going to be able to do all this cool shit. It's like, is that what it's just going to be? Grocer versions of things that I can do? That's fucking horrifying.

And there's kind of a part of it that's like, what if I helped everyone? Would it do something like that to friends? Like what? You know, like I, I got to really think about this. I love that image because it's just kind of like two people who look monstrous, just kind of like and bleeding, you know, like she fucked herself up, bittersweets all like fucked up getting bit by this thing, and they're just kind of like standing at the door and just trying to like assure themselves that it's OK now that it's over. Yeah, I think Dagon would grab like a clean rag from his pack or whatever and go up to Tani and just start wrapping her hand.

I'll just say that was brilliant. But you've got to stop hurting yourself. Can we get can we get get get get a dump date? To know that he made it through. Yeah, I think he's OK. Yeah, Dumpy's OK. He he he hides in his little rat pouch when when things get too crazy. He's out. The bittersweet got got pretty bad. I I think we're kind of done worrying about Dumpy being hurt. I think Dumpy's going to outlive all of us. Probably. Yeah. At this rate, yeah. Arc nine features mostly Dumpy. Like, you know, the world's been taken over by rats led by their king. I think Dumpy does like he comes out of his pouch and like crosses the bridge of of the touching hands and body parts onto Tani and starts like like licking the licking the wound to try and clean it.

She's borderline disgusted. Like it's it's it's it's like, yeah, that that helped, I guess. It's like that's not. Dagon gets to go in and be big dick swinging hero, right? Like just comes like blam blam, you know, and and she gets to come in and Cronenberg this thing to death. Right. So she's kind of she's kind of like, that's not how I want you to see me like that. So like she would she's probably torn between like getting out of the room and getting out of line of sight of Dagon. But like if you come over and like you're, you know, your first words are that was brilliant.

That's not the thing she's expecting because you're so, you know, posh and sophisticated and and and well-bred and. But he's fast that he's fascinated with her now. Her power. Yeah. Well, it looks at all Dagon's history. And still playing. She there'd probably be a long beep. I don't I don't know another way to get. I can't cast anything without blood and I don't know any other. I got to have a lot of it really quick. So I don't. Does it have to be yours? I think so. I mean. Because there's a whole bunch back there we can collect. I think it's got to be like living like fresh, but I mean, I could try on someone else.

Like if I could do that, like maybe I could just. Maybe I could be not so gross. Benris is going to come up behind 10 in bittersweet. He actually put his hand on the back of bittersweet and uses healing light and heal bittersweet. Thank goodness. And then he's going to come around his other hand and put it on top of tannies and do the same. And heal that hand and be like. Like it never happened and then just keep walking. There are definitely several puncture wounds like scars in her hand, like this has happened before and it's like, oh, God, like. Sadly, bittersweet isn't fully healed until a long rest and you're going to feel that, right?

Like it like you just this thing sucked vitality out of you. You guys went toe to toe like it was nasty and that could have easily been. Horrible, but this is grossness aside, like this is monumental for the group, like I imagined it kind of settles in that it's like that was that was a straight up monster, like that wasn't bandits.
