- If you're thinking, "I should go for a run today, but it looks like it could rain." Sierra says, "Save on epic rain jackets." If you're also thinking, "But I can't go out in these beat up old running shoes." Sierra says, "Save on top brand running shoes." And if you're still thinking, "But I'm also busy performing brain surgery." Well then we say, "You really should have led with that." Sierra, let's get moving to your local store, like now, go. - Hello everyone out there. Welcome to another brand new episode of Dungeons and Randomness. This one is big.
Pac-Man has been building up to this for over two years now. So I really hope you enjoyed today's episode. Now, before we get going, I really wanted to remind everybody that the Discord is basically where everyone's hanging out. Social media is kind of scattered all over the place. We don't like using Twitter anymore. We don't really like using Facebook all that much. So while we post there to try to keep people updated on what we do, Discord is where we actually get to talk to people. It's all in one place. And there's a link to our Discord sitting right at the top of the description for this episode.
So if you get a chance, check it out, come hang out with us and I'll see you guys over there. Obviously Patreon is where you can support the show. It really, really helps us out and helps us to pay bills. And we very, very much appreciate it. Without further ado, let's get on with today's episode. (dramatic music) (dramatic music continues) (groaning) Let's do that thing! Where we going? Around the table, introduce ourselves. I'm Jason A'Ooh. Going around the table! Starting with Mandy. - Hi. I thought you were gonna wrench something in that opening. I was just like, it's still going.
- The day I pull a muscle doing the intro is the day I think I have to hang it up. Or take a walk or something. - You keep pushing it. It's gonna happen, man. - Oh man. I'm gonna build it up and add a second until we get to Dragon Con. - Can we just know that the fix for when you pull a muscle doing that is to take a walk? - Well, it's not to fix anything. It's just, I've clearly been sitting at this chair too long. - No, okay. - We've already discussed the bottom half of me has all been an elaborate lie. It's all Muppet from waist up. Like it's, you know. - So is it Elle's hand that's up there or what's?
- Oh goodness. - She usually works very early in the morning. So if she can get away with it. It's actually Luna. It's a weird. - Oh, there we go. - Yeah. Shit. - Explains the flailing. - I do move a lot when I talk. - Hi guys. - Look for my, yeah, hi Mandy. - Let's go get back. (laughing) - I'm Mandy. Forget all that. I play Clover, the red dragon born endurance. Next. - Next. - You could look forward to two new t-shirts. My patented me get cookie now catchphrase and Mandy's fuck them fat kid shirt is going to be, I predict flying off the shelves this summer. - You took my chicken nuggets.
(laughing) - That makes it sound like a seagull. Like some fat kid swooped in and just took your chicken nuggets. (laughing) - Mandy, we need to talk after this. - I have a lot of rage in my heart. I'm sorry. - You sound so cheerful. Ryan Garner. - Sup everyone. I'm Ryan. I'm Kriv, the dragon born paladin. - And Ryan Heywood. - Hey there everybody. I am your white meat chicken nugget, Ryan Heywood. - You stuttered there for a second. - Yeah I did. - I had a very precarious friend, Ryan Heywood. (laughing) - I'm your Caucasian, Ryan Heywood. And I'll be playing- - Some of my best friends are white.
(laughing) - I must have been more on or out with that. - I don't know if we're gonna play a session tonight guys. I don't know. - We might not get there. - So I think we're all just stalling. We're nervous for this. - I think what I'm hearing is it's been a week for everybody and it's Wednesday. So like, it sounds a little, you know, playing almost certainly not least, we can't forget about Xavier. - Hi, not forget about me. I'm Xavier. I play Zozo the Dragonborn warlock. - All right, quick recap for everybody. - Ow. - That pretty much sums us up. We're so, Decky, you met him kind of spying outside your camp.
He said he was out picking mushrooms, which he was, but yeah, you guys ended up going back to his place and he tries to poison you basically. And you found out that there's a bunch of dead bodies underneath his house. And you accidentally, no, well, you accidentally set fire to the meth lab, but the fire was very much intentional, which blows up. And then you had Decky hunt you a little bit, little first blood action. And then you managed to take out Decky. He is dead now. He blew up. Now that being said, you did not get away unscathed. And it has been, I think this is the quickest deterioration from fully rested to ow my bones that we've done in terms of length of time that has passed.
And then you hear a distant howling and it goes on for a bit too long. If you listen to the episode, I know you heard it, but you guys know what howling sounds like. So let's catch up. What is the immediate thought process after, I imagine you're standing there, you're like, oh God, that fire is still crackling all about that distant howl. Like what's the, like, I get, what's the breaking point for you guys at this point? Like what would be the thing you're just like, oh, fuck it. Like you've run into quite a lot. - I mean, Zozo's half paralyzed. He just took like a bomb vest explosion to the face after taking another explosion to the face before when the house exploded.
And now, yeah, there's a werewolf situation. I think Zozo's in panic mode. And he'd say like after hearing the werewolf, I mean, the howl, the howl, we don't know. Like we don't, we can't, I can't die here before getting to Aruthammar. We got, we got to get out of here. Someone carry me, Clover, carry me. - Clover is seeing like little tweety birds going around her edge. Mommy, thank you, I always want a puppy. And she just kind of like, leaning, doing that leaning sideways this way, that way. She, yeah, she's, she's seeing stars. - Fine, I'll do it myself.
- And he just like limply, he co-ops his way towards the rest of the group. - Co-op, holy shit. - Elmo, who is currently enlarged, in big and, goes over and picks up the dazed one and the floppy one and looks at Krib for direction. - What's the opposite direction of the howl? - Well, now see, that's, that's tough. So let's, let's go to the map. So you see that green dot, now that's you. Now the problem with your society is, well, they live in Orash, which is at the tippy top of the Haysan Mountains all the way to the back of the continent. Almost a Floridian situation, but to the North.
- I'm familiar with that. - And that means, that means you've got some heavy trekking to do, right? There's a road, if you cut across the mountains, you'd have to skip over rivers, but there's a road that would essentially lead up there, or you've got mountain climbing to do. Now, there's plus and minus. - I know, it's different mountains, if that makes any difference. Here's the thing, there's pluses and minuses to both routes. And I would say in the grand scheme of things, let me draw you like a shape. It would be like, it sounds like it's coming from that direction, like to the West, like almost Northwest, something like that, but it's vague because it's all echoey.
And the problem is, once it gets close enough, if it is werewolves, once it gets close enough for them to be detectable, they're gonna be real close. You know you need to head North. - Yeah, I think Crib's just gonna be pointing North. As far as we can. - So do you remember how we did the howl at the end of the episode? And I was like, I think it's a good time to... Since then, I've been thinking about what would be the funniest thing to do? - Oh boy. - And the funniest thing is to have Mr. Garner see how close these werewolves are by rolling a D20. If you roll a one, they're here, right?
But, but we know he's got the hot hand tonight, ladies and gentlemen, rolling a crit right out the bat. Crit 20, blam. Just before we started playing. - Let me clear the air here. I did one practice roll at the beginning. - Yeah, and what a practice roll. I don't think you need more practice. - I mean, I think the statistics would say that I need a lot of practice. Maybe I just need to get some way to die. - Don't worry, die stats are on. - We are keeping track of that stuff. - All right, let's go for it. - Okay. - Could be worse. - Oh, so dead, it's a six. - Could be worse.
(laughing) - Love you too, Mandy. - One would be dead. Six is over a quarter away of the maximum. - You're gonna hear another one of those howls and it's distinctly like, it's less echo. It's closer to the X. So are we running or sneaking? I'm gonna ask you a series of questions. Let's set up a scenario. - We're not sneaky people, are we? - I sure am. - Half of us are. - You three run. - Okay, go. - I'll distract them. - And then he hides. - But you're being carried. - Yes, yes. - You have the two non-stealthy people that are dealing with this. One of them is very large and holding two others right now.
So as much as I don't wanna say it, I don't think we're in a position for us to be real sneaky. Now, I don't think we're gonna go, just go running straight through the bushes, right? If there's a clear path where we can avoid that, sure. I think that's the route that we're gonna go. But I don't think that we can say that we're sneaky. - Okay, well then carry me, run as fast as you can. Like carry me over your shoulder so I can look behind you and I will be on the turret. I'll be manning the turret. - I may have spent most of my dark energies, but I still got some left in me.
I can chuck a couple bonfires out there. - I was so worried about this going into it. Now I'm completely 100% on board. That's like, this is the best all of a sudden. All right, let's go. - Well, so can Clover, right? You can use that light magic of yours. - I have glitter, but can't we pet the puppy? - Okay, let's go. - With lethal force, yes. - All right, I'm running now, let's go. - Well, Mr. Garner brings up an excellent point. So here's what I need you to do, Ryan. I need you to give me another flat D20 and the higher you roll, the less thick brush and trees and stuff there are, the lower you roll, the denser it's going to be to get back to that main path.
So if you wouldn't mind, please. - Just for the record, I'm so on board with all of this, just letting Ryan paint our face. - This is for science. - Yeah. - Which one do you want to roll it? - Oh, you. - Always you. - And what am I rolling again? - Don't stall. - I want to know if we live or die. - It's a D20, Ryan. - It's a 10. - Did you? - No, nothing's showing on my table. - You didn't do it as Cribb. - I'll re-roll, I'll refresh. - Why did it not roll as Cribb? - No, I see a 10. I see a 10, you just didn't do it as Cribb. So I was. - Yeah, that's weird. I don't know how to control that.
- You're, you know, obviously it's going to be mixed, right? There's going to be thickets and stuff like that. So here's what we're going to do. I don't foresee this being too terrible, but here's what we're going to do. Since two of you guys are being carried and two of you guys are going to be doing the running, here's what I want to do here. Oh, I don't think that mod works right now. - Ooh, I was going to do some epic rolls. - Oh. - Fine. - Oh, and since I still have that skill of my medicine-ish, can I be like, oh yeah, Zozo, you got all funky. And then she'll just reach in her pack and be like, herbs, herbs, that works.
- Get that good chaga mushroom. - Eat this to get to help him. Nom nom. We can either go the emetic way or the magic help way. - I remember you shoving your hand in my throat and I don't think we resolved that. - Yeah, yeah. You were puking. - I think so. - I must've been. - Did that help his... - Give me a medicine check with advantage. - Me? Wow. - Yeah. - Can I help you, Ryan? - I know, okay. Oh, here it is. Medicine check with advantage. Okay, that's better. - Actually, yeah, that's going to let up. You still got a little pins and needles, but you're going to get some of that feeling.
Like you slept on your arm wrong or something like that. It's like, ah. - Yes. - Like Sozo gave himself the stranger, you know? Like just a little... - Okay, thank you for that. - Sorry, I'm just trying to paint a picture. - No, it's funny because I didn't know what the expression meant, but it took me four seconds to surmise it. (laughing) - Yeah. It's like a Dutch rudder, but it's a little different. Here's what we're going to do. I need athletics checks, gentlemen. - All right, so real quick, I'm going to have to re-enable giant's might because that was still going.
- There we go. And that should give me, I don't know. I should with giant's might, it says I have advantage on strength checks. So I don't know if this will... - You can just click advantage when you hover over it. - So you're big now. - I'm big now. - So I am manning the cannons. I'm in my mech, my all-mo mecha. - It's true. - Oh, that's okay. - Yeah. - I'm using the average from that, which is 18. You guys are doing great. So all I'm going to, I'm going to ask for two more of these, but there's going to be choices. So you're booking it, right? And those werewolves were whatever they are.
Maybe they're dire wolves. Maybe they're just emo kids, but they... - Maybe they're puppies with a smoking problem. We don't know. - Could be Jojo Siwa, we don't know. - So I don't know what the fuck is wrong with midnight. Okay, so they're going to be drawn to the noises, the explosions, the fire, that type of stuff. Now that being said, they have very keen smell if that is what you're dealing with. So you're looking to shake that. Now, you have a couple of options. You could start getting the high ground and that'll start taking you into the mountains or you can cross a river and try to lose that scent.
But then you got to deal with a river. - I think Riv's first reaction would be to start to head towards the river and almost says something. - He is following you and more than happy to let you make the decisions while he lugs people. The most that he would suggest is, I don't know how deep the river here is, but if we can find some of the streams that lead up to it and run along those for a while, that might help. - Sounds good. And so he's going to turn and kind of go like northeast direction along the river until we see something that's noticeably shallow-ish and then go across.
- Okay. - Stay in the river if we can. The creek, you know. - I need one more roll from you, Mr. Garner. - Just one, D20. So the higher the roll, the faster you're going to find a shallow path, kind of maybe do a little Oregon trailing for that river. The lower- - That's how you get dysentery. - Well, that's one of the ways. - All right. Okay. I'm 11. - So it's going to be a good like mile of just trekking and you're trying to, it's like, oh God, okay. We got to keep a good pace. But the louder you are at night, the greater the odds that something is going to attack you.
So here's what we're going to do. Let me do another epic roll. We're looking for a DC 16. We're averaging things out though. So you don't both have to be amazing, but Almo, Criv, give me an athletics check. - Okey dokey. - Oh my God. - Oh, okay. - 24 for Mr. Kerner, 23. - Go get him, king. - Oh my God. Oh my God. So yeah, you're doing great. As a matter of fact, you're going to hear another howl, but it sounds distant. It sounds like, you know, but you are going to find a way across this river and you're gonna, like, it's sort of ducked down when you're going to like, try to get this scent off of, you know what I mean?
Just try to, like a good old prison escape, that type of thing. - This podcast is supported by Progressive, a leader in RV insurance. And if you continue straight North, you'll hit a road eventually. So totally up to you guys what you'd like to do, but it sounds like for now, you may have ditched your pursuers. - So Mandy does make a good point. The giant size, I'm gonna say he probably would have used up all of his remaining giant smites in this run. They only last so long. And they're probably burned out by now. - Well, I have one more question for you guys. And this is an important one. You've traveled a few miles. It's nighttime officially. You guys are spent. You're also not in a great place to go camping.
I'm gonna tell you right now. So I guess what, like, do you wanna try and continue traveling where it would be a bit more dangerous, but you might find a spot that you can hunker down and defend. Do you wanna just stop here and take your chances? What are you feeling? - Kriv would be pushing everyone to keep going. We need to keep creating distance type of conversation. That's what he's gonna be reminding and keep pushing everyone to do. - Yeah, come on, Olmo. Don't tire now. Yeah. - I was waiting for a yaw or a mush. (laughing) - I can keep running, but I'm not big anymore.
I kinda, if you don't mind, I need, can I put you two down? Can you run if I put you down? - Well, this, yeah, the stranger feeling is gone. So yeah, he touches the ground with both feet, feels the dirt between his foot claws. And you're like, oh yeah, whatever you did, Clover, I'm back, Sozo's back, baby. - Make sure you drink some bark tea twice a day for the next week and that'll help. - Keep running and keep talking, but keep running. - Oh, okay. And she'll be like running and just like, ooh, what a quick. - Wait, wait, cousin, why are you barking at your tea?
- Nevermind. - I like puppies. - Okay. - Mandy. - Me? - You, I need you to give me a travel die roll. And since it's nighttime and the area you're in, it's a D 10. - Wow, okay. - Dry roll a D 10. Oh, where are all the dice at the bottom? Oh, well, too bad. One D, oop, that's a 20. - What is it, how did you get it to be 20? - Shh. - Here's a one D 10. Six. - Hey, that's just a side, good. So this is a shitty situation, but eventually you're gonna break through. It's gonna be around, it's gonna be around three, 3 AM, 4 AM when you finally break through into this wooded area now this is a smaller wooden area.
It's not thick forest, but it's definitely a place you could hunger down. And there's gonna be some rocks nearby, it's defensible. It's, you know, you are far enough away from the original danger that you probably feel okay stopping and getting an actual long rest. How long has it been since we've heard the howls behind us? - I'd say about, I'd say about two and a half, three hours. - Okay. Then we're gonna get to a spot and Crib's gonna, okay, everyone slow down. Everyone just be quiet for a bit, keep an ear out. And then after like probably a solid minute or two, of us just listening.
Okay. No fire, but let's hunker down over there and let's try to get some sleep. But two people up at a time. - You got it. I'll take the first watch. I can see in the darkness, I can be of use. - Okay. Why don't you perch up on that rock? And he's gonna like point to one of the rocks that kind of like stick out a little bit further above everything else. On it. - Gonna stealthily skitter across that rock with disadvantage because of the armor. - Like a gargoyle, like just kind of like perched on. - It's like a lizard getting warm. - And Crib's going to, probably not many people were gonna see this, but Crib's gonna be holding that fire beast potion and he's gonna be putting that back in his pouch.
- That's the one that turns you into a fire beast and also makes it so that you're immune from fire at that time. - Yes. - Olmo will ask, is there a rock that I should sit on? You said two of us should be up at a time, right? - Yes. Just pick a rock. - Okay. I'm gonna pick that one over there. That's a good rock. - Crib's going to walk over to wherever they're gonna be sleeping. Probably trying to make sure that there's some sort of rock at least at one solid face. And he's just gonna lean his back up against it and probably just slide down and just sit there for a bit and just trying to nod off, just getting a little bit of sleep while sitting up.
- And then there's a clover that's like, knee slides right in and then goes in between his, onto his lap and goes, "And good night." - He'll put his arm around you and probably like lean his head on you a little bit and just try to get something, some sort of sleep. - Guys. - Give yourself a long rest. - We better not forget to stop. - Hello? - Give yourself a long rest. - Give yourself a long, yay! - We haven't been recording for that long. - It's like 10 minutes. It's micro content. That's what we're doing. - It's all TikTok. - It's all reels, yeah. (laughs) (laughs) - Okay, now it's the 23rd of something.
Thoram. Where are we? Like, what is our location name? - Blacktip Forest? - The far east end of the Blacktip, barely- - Barrier Bay? Which is a very haunted forest. You guys just got in, you just got the tip, so- - Yeah, we're at the tip of Blacktip. - Yeah. - Okay. - Tip of Blacktip. - Like the ghost of a chipmunk just trying to get into our food or something from here. - Yeah, it's real, really, real simple. (laughs) - I'm sad to lose my skill, but I want a new skill. - Ooh, skill time. - Okay. - Ready to find out what skill? - Yeah. - Give me a flat T20, please.
- Okay. - Boom, boom, boom. - It is a 10. Oh, that's a... (laughs) - Are you looking at my notes? - Let's finish it again. - I do. - Yay. - Mandy, I rely on your notes. Every time we sit down, like 30 minutes before, I bring your notes up, I read what happened last episode. - Oh, God. (laughs) - Yeah. - We should publish that. - Honestly, I would pay you to do recaps for episodes. We just put them up on World Anvil or something. - Jesus. - I mean- - They're very thorough. - 32 pages of notes. - No, sorry, 33 pages of notes. - I do not edit these, but feel free to take it and do what you will.
- A light novella. - So what, do I do another thing to see how good my medicine is or should I just continue this? - Just keep going. - I like it. - You're a doctor now. - I am a doctor. - Honestly, you healed Zozo yesterday. - Twice, yeah. - I mean, yeah. - Your chiropractic practice. - You're going to open up your own practice. - Dr. Clover? - That's the end game for Clover. - Yeah. - Yeah, that's- - She has a new dream. - You have your own clinic in Orash. - Be amazing. - Guys, there is one road between you and home. Most of you, for most of you, it's home. But this is it.
You're closing in, unless something catastrophic happens today. This is, go ahead, please. - If I'm not mistaken, we're not going home though, right? Where is, where is Ruthamar? Where is Strahd's lair? - Oh, that's way up in the Hazon Mountains. That's like the Piketty Peak. - So like in Northeast from where we are or like North North? - Yeah, yeah, I'll mark it for you. - Asgoresh. - Yeah, yeah, yeah, I got you. I'll mark it. - More mountains, my goodness. - These are different mountains. These are worse mountains, if that makes you feel any better. - No. - In terms of danger.
Ah, well, I'm sorry. You're not pleasable. I tried. - It's gonna be a bit, bit, bit. - Oh. - Okay. - Oh, we're right there. - Oh yeah, that's not that far. - Okay, you can hold up your fingers to the map. Right, like, yes. But that accounts for a lot. That's, that's a climb and a half. Like that's, yeah. So yeah, no, I was under the impression you were, you were going home and updating, my bad. - I mean, so, I mean, that's up to the group. I didn't have that impression. Or at least those are always like, now we're going to Erythmar. - Yeah, my thought was to go to Erythmar.
So I know that the mission was to, was to free the dragon and then try to get the dragon on the deal that Strahd was on, right? But then some gods talked to us and you specifically. And I think something was said along the lines of, the gods said, maybe we shouldn't do things the same old way. - Mm-hmm. - And I know that the gods aren't the mayor. They don't run, but they're also the gods. - Yeah, it's-- - So what's the mission, boss? - I guess we gotta decide what we're going to fight for. What's the future that we wanna fight for? Do we want dragonborns to continue the way that they have been, or do we wanna create a new era?
And if so, what is that new era? The gods want us to go about a little bit more of a, don't necessarily think peaceful is the word, but a little bit more of a harmony with the world. - What are you saying, Griv? You're not getting cold feet on me, are you? - Well, it's not cold feet. It's more about respect for others. - Let's not forget we unleashed a second black dragonborn. - Yeah, I know, and that's for us to deal with. We fucked up. - Our best way to unfuck this is still a Ruthimar. - Oh, absolutely. Okay, I'm not doubting that at all. - See, he looks over his shoulder, just to make sure there's no werewolves.
Okay, see, I can't believe I'm saying this. When I first came here to the mainland, I was jealous and resentful of you, Red Scales. You were feared, respected. You had a great track and nothing we have back home. We're laughed at, we're disappearing, but so are you apparently. - Yeah. You guys are nothing like I thought you were. And I was disappointed at first, but now I get, I guess I understand what you're going through. And I'm not one for politics. I don't care if you're mayor of Orash or not. I thought what I wanted was to serve a Ruthimar and live in an age of shadows, in her shadow.
But yeah, the gods talk to us. I'm starting to realize that, well, you said something that sounded pretty neat, that you wanted to give hope to your people again, to have a Ruthimar be a symbol of hope, something to unite them. That's something I also want for my people. You think if you're the mayor, oh, this is silly. You think if you're a leader of your clan, could there be a room for my people? Red Dragonborn and Black Dragonborn united under a Ruthimar? He's gonna chuckle a little bit and kind of look down, scoff just kind of a little bit. Let's get this straight.
I'm not going for the mayor. That's not at all what I'm trying to go for. But I do think under a Ruthimar, under the guidance and power that she has, I think we can grow something new. And I think it could be for all Dragonborn. I don't think what I want to stop is the pointless murdering of our young. That's been the biggest point. And I've lost a child to that. I don't wanna see that happen. And I would rather us be able to live and train and build up our group and make our society where we're respected for what we do, not respected based upon a symbol that we're not holding up anymore.
That's what I want. So where do they wanna go first? Home or to a Ruthimar? He's gonna look up at the peak of the mountain that's in the distance, and then back at the group. I think we have to go to a Ruthimar. I think we need to see if we can convince a Ruthimar that this is the way forward for our kind. Go deal with our fuck up and then come back and see if we can make change. Because if we let our fuck up keep going, it's gonna fuck a lot more things up. Yeah, yeah, yeah, that's my bad. I'll be the first to admit it. We were all there. - No, kind of glad that you said we are going to a Ruthimar first, because I would have felt really bad if we just went right past Ruthimar when Zozo, I would feel bad delaying that for Zozo any longer, honestly.
- Yeah, he needs to see his girlfriend. - Exactly. I know this is real big for you, buddy. - I mean, yeah, it still is big. Yeah, nothing's changed. Nothing's changed. - Right. - And see. - I need a travel die roll now. - Oh yeah, right. - Yeah, combo trap. - So here's the thing. We could inch our way up this mountain, or we could just go for it. - Go for it. - Go for it. - Go for it. - Go for it. - Roll the D100. - Ooh. - Mandy, do it. - What size die should we roll to go for it? - Well, okay, look. - Is there a hundred options? - A 20 will get you most of the way up the mountain.
Like, we'll be right there. If you do a hundred, I'll get you outside of her cave. - There's a hundred. - Right, but, oh boy. But this is like, a bad hundred roll is like, the earth opens up beneath us and swallows us whole, right? - This is a dangerous mountain. There be dragons, baby. Like, what? - Oh, yeah. - He did it, he said it. - Don't say. - Mandy, follow your heart. Believe in the heart of the cards. - Oh, me, really? - Believe in yourself more than Garner does. - Yeah, you haven't rolled. - Oh, I rolled the last travel die. - You look excited for it, so.
- I do, I am. - I don't recall that. I don't remember that. Does anyone else remember that? - Who knows what we remember. - Exactly. - I mean, it's only the last thing in our chat, but okay. So I can, I can. - No, no, no, no, no. - You let me pick, right? - Or do we roll to see who rolls? - Oh my God. - I will roll it. (laughing) - Oh my, wow, 86. - Awesome. - Oh, I was like, if I killed us all, I'm gonna blame Xavier. (laughing) - That's fair. - Yeah. - Well, as per our agreement, we're gonna take the better part of a day and a half, get you off this mountain, because while you guys are, obviously this encounter is heavily anticipated.
There is nothing to stop this ancient dragon from just melting your skin away from your bones the second they see you. Now, something you do have is you can speak to her, which is, oh boy, I can't tell you how difficult this was gonna be without that. So that's fantastic. I, oh man, okay. This is a day and a half. So this is probably late afternoon, almost dusk, and you have climbed a good 2000 feet up this mountain, staking your way back and forth. And you get to a point where you know the entrance is somewhere in this area, and you'll be able to see the ledge of it, right?
Now you've heard stories. Most of you have heard stories about this your whole life. There is an entrance to this cave, deep within there's treasures, there's bountiful, there have just been offerings for this dragon over the years. It is a huge structure inside, because it had to house Strahd. Now, presumably, Aruthimar's not under any sort of control. And as far as you know, it's still somewhere deep in that cave. What the hell is your game plan here? Like what? Crav, what the hell is our game plan? This is it, this is... I'm getting nervous. Oh, I thought I'd be ready for this.
Hold on, hold on. Like get the jitters out to like shake it out. Yeah. How's my hair? Is there some kind of door knocker on this cave? Do we... So, do we have anything to act as an offering at the beginning, other than just, we're the ones that broke the spell? We had Roger. What? It's been a journey. (laughing) I mean, I guess if she needed a friend, Roger would have been a good one before he turned evil and really weird and... Oh, I'm gonna say it. I don't think Roger would be happy you dumped him off with some chick. May you burn in hell. He's fresh and fit.
Olmo pulls out the club that giant Roger had that had the microphone on the end of it. And he looks to where it looks like offerings are placed. And he puts that powerful, gone. Well, here's what I'm picturing. You guys are at a plateau before you make the final climb. I didn't want to just put you right there. Sure. But the ledge of this, it's only a couple of dozen more feet up. It's windy as hell. It is imposing because looking down, there's like, there's at least four different ways to die from where you're standing. You're not even throwing in a dragon in the mix.
And you've seen some circling overhead. Like these are smaller red dragon and stuff. And every once in a while, you'll even see one of those black and red tinged ones, those gradients that just toss napalm, which is just awful. But yeah, you're right there. So if you want to just go to the mouth of the cavern, we could do it. Let's go. At this point, yeah, I don't think, I don't think it's time for subterfuge or I think we just go in and now that we have the ability to talk, let's talk and be prepared to die for cover as well. Talk and or die for cover.
- What's my skill of the day or is it still medicine? - Well, this will be a new day. So we got to roll for it. - Damn, I really liked medicine. - I was about to say medicine might not be the worst thing. - Yeah, okay. We, and I guess we'll make the call as far as what's the best time to set the offering. Do we set it down at like the designated spot or since we're going in, do we bring that with us and then kind of lay it down and then initiate? I guess we'll make the call. - I say we announce ourselves. So we don't, you know, look like looters. - Oh, I get what you're doing here. You want me to announce us with the loot, but I'll use my guitar since I don't carry loot anymore. - Yeah, yeah. Introduce ourselves to the power of music. You want me to do that? - It's not a bad idea.
- Light music, like background music. - Let me say the first line. I've been dreaming of this for so long. Just let me, let me introduce us. - Okay, before we go with that plan, how about you hit us with the opening line first? - Oh, well I was just gonna roll with it on the spot. Didn't write anything. Just something, something. Aruthammar, we come as Pact Bound. We humbly offer ourselves in service to you, oh powerful goddess of the skies. Something like that. - I've heard your sneaky times. You're always like, oh baby, baby. You're not gonna go with that?
- No, I don't do that. - At some point, your compass would be like, I'm so close. Like, you know, just letting you know the proximity. Do we need to leave that out of the cave? - I mean, I can put it in airplane mode. (all laughing) - Okay, so yes, go ahead and open us up. But another thing that I want the group on, do we leave our weapons at the door? - No, that would make us look weak. - I don't have any. - But honestly, it would make us look weak. - I honestly don't think that what weapons we carry, I think that even if we were to look like we were prepared to attack a Ruthammar, Ruthammar would just be like, oh, that's cute.
Anyway, what do you want? - That's fair. Okay, just no one holding their weapon out. Weapon sheets away. - Maybe I carry the club, but like an offering, like in two hands, like, palms up. - Okay. - Okay, there we go. Okay. - Walking in to this cavern is gonna be transformative. And there's a few reasons for this. One, this is an area you've heard about. It's essentially legendary. You've been told about it. You've been, you know, even Zuzu's people would kind of know, you know, like this is a big deal. So I imagine everyone has a different vision of what this looks like, you know, chiseled Coliseum pillars or a dungeon or, you know, like a giant dragon throne-esque type of thing.
But it's going to be this wide open space when you first come in. And there is the strangest sense that as you cross the threshold into the mouth of the cavern, even though it's really wide and kind of open to the elements, it kind of wraps you in this warmth, kind of a tingle across your chest as you walk in. And that might just be perception. It might just be anticipation, but you're gonna notice several things, just walking and just kind of taking all this in. There is loot piled up everywhere. There are bodies, bones, really. And these look scorched and old, real old.
And it could be from people trying to steal from the cavern. It could be the first, you know, the first people to come here and try to barter with a dragon that it just didn't go well. It could have been a sacrifice. It could have been anything, but they are very dead and they look like dragonborn bones. Like that is those, you know, so there's two or three of those and you can kind of see these burn marks on the walls where it was that general area gone, you know? And as you kind of like take this all in, you're panning your head up. There are what appear to be very large bats everywhere.
But on a second look, there are dozens and dozens of baby dragons that red, black gradient shift, those little napalm babies, which even though they're very young, you know, some of them are only like, you know, a year or two old, something like that. It takes a long time for dragons to sprout up. Dozens of them like that can be exceedingly destructive. When you combine that, you know, acidic gummy acid with fire, you can't pat it out. It just kind of sticks to you. And it's like a gel that it is horrific. It's a terrible way to die, but those things are just kind of hanging off of the stalactites and things.
And they're just kind of like stretching their mouths open a little bit, almost like they're tasting you, like their little tongues are flicking out. What's the first thought after kind of being presented with this, the cavern just kind of stretches back into, you know, infinity. It looks like it's so deep and packed with stuff that it's probably not what you were expecting on a surface level. - Zozo's definitely awestruck, realizing where they are standing. Also kind of surprised by all of these baby dragons on the ceiling. So he'll sort of just try to catch Kriv's eyes go like, should I, should I announce us like we said we would do or does this change anything?
- I think a little softer voice. I don't want to give them any reason to attack. Let's have everything sheathed. Calmly, let's just proceed a little bit further until we get closer. I'm sure Aruthmar knows we're here. - Yeah, you're probably right. He keeps talking, looking up. And looking down too, there's a lot of stuff to look on the floor. - Yeah. - Yeah, and there'll be like little piles of gold or like little, like, like, oh, gonna trip over this, you know, sword hilt or helm, something like that. And you, you can kind of hear almost like birds. Like you kind of hear this little, like, (grunting) like little kind of like grumble screechy, like, you know, they're, they're, they're not calling out, but they're, they're kind of like vocalizing with each other, it seems.
- I think Olmo is holding the club microphone, Roger's club microphone in his upturned hands still. And he's looking at the scattered treasure that's there and he's trying to compare in his head. Oh my God, is that stuff that appears very well, like it's near a body and therefore rejected, does that look way better than what we're offering? Is this, is this a horrible, dumb idea? That's kind of what's going through his head. - It's treasure envy. - Well, were they offering better stuff and they still died? Oh boy. - Donation envy. - Maybe. - Well, here's the thing, it's, it's, the approach could have been bad too.
- That's true. - Like you can come in with, you know, 100,000 gold. It's like, ayo bitch, and you know, that's a terrible way to open. So. - Maybe that was the right way and nobody was doing that. We don't know. - That was different management at the time. You know, this is a new CEO. - At some point, I think pretty soon after all this, I think Crib's gonna remember that, that Clover likes shiny things. And without having to like snap his head over in one direction to keep everything calm, kind of gently turn over and look at what Clover's doing. - Clover is just kind of looking around like, oh, I mean, they're shinies, but mostly she's like, they're cute.
And just like, look at the little fly things, hi. And just like, just making little coo sounds at them while they're like, oh, trying to mimic that. - Okay, Clover, stay attached to Omo. Don't leave it aside. And no touching. No touching, but can't I say hello to the cute little things? - When the time is right, yes. - Okay, and just like, okay, and goes over to Omo's like, grumpily holds onto his arm. - Let's keep each other safe, okay? - Okay, but. - Thank you. - But later I can cuddle with the babies. - I don't know if you can or not. But not long after we started, you were asking if it was time to go home.
And if this goes well, it might be. - And just her eyes just go wide and she goes immediately quiet and just like, yep, I hold onto Omo and I don't touch anything. - You're gonna get one of these babies and think about the size of a condor, like a really large bird. And it's gonna descend, just kind of like let go from its perch and kind of catch itself. And the first flap of its wings is gonna be kind of a bit of effort. Unlike a bird, these things are fairly weighty, right? They don't have hollow bones. So you're gonna kind of feel that gust of, just a little bit of, it's like, phew, like someone has canned air and they're kind of spraying it at you.
But this thing is going to descend, catch itself, and glide over to Clover and kind of perch on Clover's shoulders. And these three talons on each side are just kind of use your body to steady them. And you can feel as it rocks back and forth, like it lands on your shoulders and it's going to be facing the same way you are and kind of crane its head down and just kind of almost peck at your face, not peck, but just kind of like, it's like mouthing on your face to get a better sense. It's like, what are you doing? You food? Like just kind of checking you out.
And Clover's like, "I didn't touch it, uncle. It touched me." And just like, "I have a new friend." And it's like a giant beaming face of happiness. - Jason, do we get the sense that this is more curiosity or is this like a child going to play with insects? Is it that level of like, I don't mind kind of what happens, like that sort of thing, or is it just like playful curiosity? - I would definitely file it under playful curiosity from what you've seen. These things are very young and they're probably fed not feeding themselves. You know what I mean? Like something large is probably taken back to this cave and they kind of swarm it.
This is not, they're not swooping in and taking farm animals or something yet. They're not near that. So the worst they could do, I guess, to Clover's, breathe acidic fire in her face, which would be terrible, but like you don't get the, they're not agitated. You can, you know, it's, you know. - If we don't get any sort of agitated feeling from that, then I think it's going to be a spook at first and just kind of like a good, quiet, what feels like a minute or two, just kind of watching this happen and then getting the realization that we don't think we're under any danger right now.
So Crib's going to look over at Zozo. Let's keep going. - Yeah, this is good. Clover, keep it. It's a good omen. - New one. - Think of a name, but don't say it yet. Just think about it. - Oh, okay. - Oh, cousins, see if it has an itchy spot up by its ears, maybe. - Oh, I'm just going to be like, oh, can't touch it. No, don't touch it. Hand down, hand up, or hand up, hand down. Ooh, ooh. - Getting it off of you might be effort considering it's kind of, it's not digging in, but it's definitely, every time it rocks back and forth, either it's back talon or front two talons are kind of like, it's like, oh, okay.
So you're kind of like, you got Batman neck right now. You're just kind of like marching forward, kind of stiff. - She's okay with this. She's like, new friend, I'm okay with new friend. I have a new friend. - All I can do is imagine you saying in Clover voice, I'm Clover. - I'm Clover. - Yeah. - Definitely not the hero we deserve. (all laughing) - So this whole cave has an interesting look to it. Instead of it being smooth cavern walls, it almost looks like there's, it almost looks like streams have gradually worn down little grooves all over, right? And they kind of get a little bit wider closer to the mouth of the cave.
Just, it's a weird kind of a formation of stuff. And as you're kind of dealing with this one baby doing, like just kind of balancing on you, there's going to be this bright green coming from the back of the cave and portion by portion, it's going to start to kind of illuminate everything and fill in those grooves. It's almost like blood is pumping through the veins of this cavern and slowly but surely, it is going to kind of fill up everything. It's going to be this kind of a sickening green, like a very Nickelodeon slime kind of bright, bright green.
And as it flows over top of you, you're going to be able to feel this pressure almost. Like the best I could put it is, if someone physically, like if Olmo came over and picked Zozo up and like squeezed him, that feels like this, but magically, like there is a presence coming that is much stronger than you. That's the best, it's almost hearkening an arrival. And that baby is going to get spooked and fly straight off of Clover's shoulders and kind of like fly back to where it was. And just, that's the first time you're going to hear like an agitated, it's like, whoa, like just get out of there.
What is this? What is that? Do we do we know about this? Is this normal? Is this is this normal Strad stuff? What is this? I was never on Strad duty. Is this her presence? The green glow? I don't know. I have no clue. I've never come this close to a great dragon like this before. We're pretty confident we broke the spell, right? I mean, I sure hope so, if they're all left. Okay, well, we came this far. Let's go figure it out. As soon as we see her, everyone kneel, and then Cribs going to look over at Zozo. Go ahead and open us up. Oh yes. Oh yeah, boss. Oh, you won't regret this.
So that green presence, as it's, you know, moving forward, the back of the cavern, the deepest part of it is darkening. So it's it's it's almost like LEDs that are strobing, like coming on and then going off in the back and you are lit up like it's so bright. It's affected the hue of all of your skin tones. Like you're you're seeing it's very dominant green. That is what you're seeing. And in the very back of this cavern, you're going to see two plumes of green fire, just boom, just ignite. And after after a second of that, that brightness, it's going to die down.
Those are eyes. And they are kind of rapidly coming towards you. And as this dragon's face swoops down into the illuminated room, it is going to light up Aruthimar's entire skull, like just coming in. And she's going to get within feet of you. Gulp. Yeah, without losing a beat, so it just goes down one knee. Yeah. Knee time. Knee time. This summer, during the biggest sporting event of the year, Peacock turns to two broadcasting legends for the Olympics coverage you can't find anywhere else. I think they mean us. Oh, (beep) (clears throat) With an incredible duo sure to take home the comedy gold.
Olympic highlights with Kevin Hart and Kenan Thompson. New episodes Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, only on Peacock. (dramatic music) - It's, those little babies in the back are quite agitated at this point. Kind of like, not scared, but like, if you ever go over somebody's house and they have yappy dogs, it's kind of that. You know what I mean? It's like Pippin going, "Bork, bork." It's like, "Yeah, good job, buddy." Like, you know what I mean? Like, you're not, it's like, "Someone's here." It's like, "Thanks, I know." - They're with Maybelle and Slobbert.
- Yes, yes. Just like Pippin. That presence, it's almost like a vice. Like it is squeezed, just her being this close to you, you can feel it. There's, and everybody do me a favor, give me a nature check. (soft music) - Here you go. There he is. - Yeah, well, I've thought of lines. - Okay, so nine from Almo, nine from Clover, nine from Zozo, and four for Kriv. - Simply the best. - We were the best that Arash was willing to send. - We're not intelligence focused bubbies. - The, it's not like you guys are walking, you know, encyclopedias when it comes to dragons, but God, you've definitely heard stories.
This seems, this kind of display seems almost like someone is back at home exaggerating stuff, you know what I mean? Like this kind of sounds like a spell casting dragon or something, it's like, I'm sure that, you know, it had a green tint or something because of swamp gas or something, you know what I mean? Like that kind of thing. And it's like, this is, holy shit. There's gonna be a deep inhale. Through Aruthimar's nostrils, so deep in fact, that it like, it's not strong enough to pull you off your feet, but there's a little bit of like your clothing, your leather armor stuff kind of like billowing forward a little bit, and then an exhale, and there's gonna be like this hot, almost like a stinging your nostrils quality, like a chemical kind of it's okay.
Like it is even just exhaling near you. It's kind of an irritant. Every single one of your brains is going to get like kind of a, kind of an immediate squeeze, not hard enough to hurt, but it's a definite like pressure. Have any of you guys had to like give up caffeine or something and you get that headache right here? Like that it's like, oh God, okay. Just it, no, just a dull thump. It's like that, but all over the brain. And her voice is going to, it's like it's echoing in the cave, but in your skull. Why have you come here? Sozo will raise an open hand, and in his best draconic, he will say, trying to echo in this cave, I guess he'll say it out loud.
Oh, fierce mother of the skies, we come to you as Pact Bound. We, the mightiest dragonborn of Elara and Atheist, we worked to free you and now seek audience so that our clans may offer loyalty and worship. And he looks immediately at Kriv for approval. He'll give a wink. Like not wanting to give too much body movement, but he'll give a wink. Sozo closes his eyes like, yes, okay, yeah. - So this just kind of hangs in the air a bit, right? And she's going to descend her head a little bit, 'cause it's kind of looming above you. There's a real high ceiling to this cavern.
And she's going to get uncomfortably close. When something that big gets that close to it, there is a sudden realization that you can fit in her mouth whole, no problem. And it's like, oh fuck. Like you don't think of it in those terms because, oh, that could be an ally. That's it. She's almost a concept until you're that close. And she's going to speak out loud. And that is something dragons do not do usually. You've been enchanted. Like that rumble that like you can feel that bassy reverb in your chest as she's speaking. And if you were any other living souls on the planet, your skulls would have shattered and exploded.
And she is solely looking at Zozo. - Okay. Indeed, so-called new gods wanted us to commune with you and granted us this power. (eerie music) Will you allow us an audience with you? - Do you think I owe you anything? - Of course not, my queen. - Of course not. We come here offering. We bring physical offerings, offerings of loyalty, offerings of service. - Omo lifts up the club again. Just see, see? (fire crackling) There's at your feet, like very close to Zozo's feet. That kind of green chem trail is slowly encircling the party like a perfect circle. And this fire, this green flame, it's kind of a kindling.
Like it's not like a terrible blaze or something, but it is, you are very much aware that you are encircled by this. And Aruthimar's going to close those eyes and very swiftly kind of back up into that pitch black darkness. It's very hard to see beyond this green light. It's very hard for your eyes to adjust. And a woman is going to come out of that darkness. And it's very difficult to put a finger on it. She's not dragon born, definitely not human, but she's kind of covered in long robes. But what is visible is like this perfect pitch black skin. Smooth, almost like it's like polished ebony.
Like it, like it is, it almost absorbs the light around and she's going to walk right up to Zozo. She's, she's close to seven feet tall. Like she is a tall woman. - Don't bother me. - What? (laughter) She's going to offer her hand to Zozo and kind of make a gesture to like stand up. - Zozo will make a point of not using the waifu hand and take the other hand just to avoid any mishap. And he will stand up holding her hand. - That would be funny. - I mean. - Yes. - She's going to look over at Elmo. Put down your offering. I do not want it. - Absolutely. Yes, yes.
You're, ah, he puts it down. - You're the ones who broke the tether. Just not, not missing a beat. Just, you know. Yes. Why? - Zozo will turn his head around to Kriv. Kriv here acts as the Aurash representative. He may speak more on this. - He's still not going to lift his head or anything. Like he's still kneeling, staying there until pretty much otherwise told. - My queen, we knew you were, or thought that you were in danger and that we could do something about it. The leader of Aurash has a request and I can't be brazen enough to say that we don't have one as well.
- I owe your leader nothing. I do, however, owe you. What is it that you want? - If I may speak frankly, there are two components to this. The first one is that we would seek your wisdom and support in transforming the society of Aurash. There have been lots of injustices there. And I've only been for one kind of dragonborn. And we want to see that changed. The other request is a little bit more personal to us. And Kriv's gonna look a little defeated on our journey to find the staff. We stumbled into a temple and we were trapped there. And we ended up mistakenly releasing the great dragon, Kysoth.
- And you want me to do what about that? - We just seek your guidance. We don't know what we're supposed to do. - For many years, my mate had a pact with your people. And the instant he helped you, it got him killed. Why would I want to follow in those footsteps? - To be fair with Grace, we don't want you to follow in those footsteps. We hope to bring something new and a different relationship. And what that relationship may be, I don't know. But the way that the society of Aurash exists today is a death sentence. And even in their eyes, it only benefits one kind.
- Please go ahead. - If I may, the former leaders of Aurash were using their pact with your mate only as leverage to terrorize, to dominate the other nations of the mainland. What we seek is different. When I came to Elara, it was because my people were dying and they were dragonless. They had no symbols of hope. No one to respect them. I came here because I was tricked that I could resurrect a smaller dragon, Kael Thorne, that I could use him as a symbol for my people. But this might come as a surprise for my companions, but there is a darkness inside me.
And along the way, it twisted my inner self. My initial goals, I wanted to serve you. I wanted to free you, to serve you and see you destroy the world of those who hurt my people and those who wronged me. But with my group, they made me see what my people and what their people need is a symbol. It is you, Aruthammar. Lead our people and help us unite, survive. And just like your brood, red scales and black scales can live in harmony. She's gonna look over the Criv. Is this one welcome with your tribe? And she's gonna be referring to Zozo. Is he allowed to live in your city?
As it exists today, no. And yet you travel with him. I respect him, your grace. Your people are fools. You've divided yourself. I don't understand why, but it's not my concern. You would have me do what? Why do you want to see change? If not, I fear all of our kind will die. Matter of years. Do you speak for your people? I don't speak for them, but I was sent on this. The leaders of Orash, they only value muscle and strength. If it does not fit that, they cull babies. So that way they can only work with what they think is strong ones. Crave will overthrow them.
That's the plan. That's what we're thinking. For the first time she's gonna kind of look at the party, take it, she's got this very intense non-blinking stare. You're not even sure if she has eyelids. Like it's just very unsettling, but she's gonna pan over to Allmo and Clover. This is the strangest grouping of your people that I've ever encountered. We were sent out on this mission that was deemed critical to find you, to help undo the spell, and to get and bring back some particular item that they want. And they wanted you to conform to the same rule and agreement that there was before.
However, even with what they deemed as an important mission, they sent us. And I won't lie about it. We are not the strongest of the group. - Hey. - What? - We all have our own problems that we deal with, our own weaknesses, and we do not fit into the ideal world that our leaders would like to have. Now that being said, that is not the only reason why we want change. - Yeah, we might not have been what, would have been the normal group, but we succeeded where others might not have, yeah. - Your people worship me like a god. And yet, of all the existing dragonborn, they send four out to risk their lives, to free me from the most powerful magic I've ever encountered, only to bind me to another.
- There's a tension in her voice, like, - Yeah. - When an argument is escalated, someone's like, like that tight lip, like there is a definite, it's like, let me get this straight. - I don't think that is what they wish. - Oh. - But that is not what we wish. - Yeah, exactly. That's what they wish. And they took us for fools, thinking they'd send us on a suicide mission. But who's laughing now, we might in fact be the strongest of all. And we don't want the same thing they do. As far as I'm concerned, all you need to do is just fly around Orash once in a while and we will pay you tribute for ages to come.
We need only see your shadows, only so often. Remind them that you fly over them. And that is all that is enough for me. - There is nothing you can give me that I could make use out of. I don't want your blind worship. You mentioned Kaelthorne. Do you know how many black dragons came before he and I? How many were slain? How many dragons period there were? Your kind disappear, same as my kind. And though we share distant blood, your people would deign to think I would serve them. I owe you four because whether they expected you to succeed or not, you risked your lives and you broke me of my bonds.
You tell me what you envision for your tribe. How would you change things if you had the power? - First and foremost, all Dragonborn will be welcome. Gone are the days of strength alone and muscles. There are other talents that are there that can benefit our kind. There's no more useless killing of each other just for the sake of an image. Those are the two main things that I desire out of this new society. But with the way that they are, they will not conform to that unless some drastic measures have been taken. - Do you know who has killed the most of our kind?
- I do not. - Humans. In what seemed like a blink of an eye, almost all black dragons had been hunted for sport. The Dragonborn were originally separated due to pressure. Your kind thought that having someone smaller wouldn't be beneficial to them. You can kind of look at it so as though a little bit. The others were scattered to the winds. The green Dragonborn are all gone. If you do plan on reuniting the Dragonborn, I'll help you. I can gather every dragon that exists and I will take them to your city and we'll start something new. Dwarfing any power your kind has ever seen.
That's all that we could hope for. - Yeah, I'm in. - One of those smaller dragons are going to kind of glide in and kind of perch on her shoulders, same as it did for Clover. A little calmer than it was for Clover. - Does she also batman a little bit? - She doesn't really, the dragon kind of anticipate, they got like a mind lock thing, whereas it was a little like walking on stilts with Clover. - She's going to offer you this small glass orb. Take this to your people. It'll be a vision of things to come. You tell them that they have a short time to make peace with your changes or they'll deal with me.
- Thank you, your grace. And he'll reach out both hands, palms up to accept the gift. - You were very brave to have come here. - Snapper. - She's going to reach over and take that compass off of Zozo. Not open it, not open it, but just kind of like with one graceful motion, just sort of take it and throw it. And it kind of lands on a pile. That's distasteful. And I don't care for it. - Yeah, that's the guy who gave it to me. It was like this when I got it. (laughing) - To be fair, however, the person who did gift us this tool to find you and find the feather was very useful to us.
He had but one request that you do not have to abide by, but he wanted to see some change as well in the flying city of the mages. As you happen to swoop by, just make them, make yourself known over there. Make them scared if you wish. That's all he wanted. If I recall correctly. - Your quest isn't done yet. Your scope is just going to increase a bit. You're going to gather every living dragonborn and bring them to your city. You're going to tell them what is about to happen. You're not asking. And we're going to create the largest dragonborn civilization the world has ever known.
And neither your people nor mine will ever have to worry about becoming hunted again. - I wish only to serve dragon kind and dragonborn kind. And on that matter, when we have time for this, there is an order of humanoids planning to use dragons for power. They say they worship dragons, but as far as I'm concerned, they're nothing but trouble. And right now, apparently in the city of Esterhold, they're holding a young dragon prisoner. Just thought you'd like to know. - Well then we're going to liberate it. - Yes. - A lot of those babies are kind of flocking over here now, just kind of like circling overhead.
Like it's getting kind of loud. You tell your people they have three days time to make peace with these changes. There's going to be this heavy wind picking up behind her. And you're going to feel that pressure kind of build on your body. (soft music) I'll see you very soon. And she's going to pick her hand up and throw you out of this cavern. You're going to be ejected out of it. And those babies are going to swirl around you and kind of swoop you up into the sky and into the mountains. And this feels effortless for her. She is just taking you and yeeting you out and into the great wide open.
And these things are going to carry you for miles and leave you about a day outside of a rash. And I think that's a good time for us to stop for the night. - Ooh boy. - Is that everything you ever wanted right there? - Oh yeah. - That was good. - That was a good push. That was a good push from tall mommy. - No hug from the-- - Didn't ask for a hug. - Yeah. - Didn't seem like the right time. - Yeah. - We don't know what to do about Kaizoth either, but we got three days to deal with this. - I mean, yeah, she doesn't seem to mind too much. So that's good for us.
- Yeah. - If anything, she's like, I'm gathering all dragons. Get him over. Have a big party. - That, so that magic that was controlling her once broken, didn't have anywhere to go, but to her. So yes, she has crazy amounts of power now. - Mega warlock Aruthamore. We got that. - The dragon god. - That's some of it. - Well, let's make the art complicated for the other teams. - There we go. - You could be the one to tell Bree that you're sending a dragon over there. - Yeah. - Our poor baby. - Let you have a deal with it. - Yeah. - Fine. - I'm double worried about it.
- Sorry. - Love you Bree. - Just know we care. - Yeah. - So the last sentence Jason said was we're being taken towards Astarhold or Orash. - Orash. - Orash. - Okay, okay, okay. - We're a day outside of Orash. - Perfect. - And we have to walk in there and demand Jesus. - Walk like humans? - Kick down the door. - I get to see my mommy. - Oh boy. - That's gonna be... - A fun conversation. Start thinking about how you wanna handle that. - Listen, it took me a week to figure out what sort of thing to talk about for this. - That's why you got a week. That's what, you know, just hey.
That's why we split it into two. There was no way we were gonna get that done last time we sat down. Plus it's just cruel to Ryan. - Yeah. - You don't mind going to one or two in the morning, do you buddy? What are you talking about? - This is fantastic. - Should do this more often. - Yeah, two weeks of like one hour sessions. - You know what, it's fine. I'll just get some of that Las Vegas cocaine and I'll be ready to go as long as we need to. (laughing) - Get a little Ryan helper in ya. - That's right. Get a little bit of that snowzo. - Oh yeah. See?
