What Happens

They send Felix back to Fort Frostborn with 800 gold and candy for Grymble. After collecting their 8,000 gold payment from Priest Dural and returning his family heirloom, they head south hoping to catch up with a caravan. Speaker 1: Now let's head back as the party leaves Aubrey with a few extra tag-alongs, and of course Speaker 1: immediately gets into trouble. Speaker 1: Also, did you know how bad we're in the episode? Speaker 1: we're rats smell? Speaker 1: Because we do. Speaker 1: Take it away, Jason. Speaker 2: Let's do that thing. Speaker 2: We'll go around the table and introduce ourselves. Speaker 2: I'm Jason. I'm the dungeon master going around the table, starting with Jameson.

Speaker 3: Hey, I'm Jameson, and I play Logger and Cragorn. Speaker 3: He is a dwarven. Speaker 3: Marshall. Speaker 3: Like rich honey, that's what I want. Speaker 3: And Ian. Speaker 4: Hey, I'm Ian. Speaker 4: And I play Kymyra, the Tiefling Warlock. Speaker 4: Buttery smooth. Speaker 4: And Jasper. Speaker 1: I don't think I can do it. Speaker 1: I can't play your rig. Speaker 2: Oh, no. Speaker 2: Have you ever listened to NPR before? Speaker 2: Come on. Speaker 1: Right. Speaker 2: I know you have. Speaker 1: Hey, everybody. Speaker 1: This is Jasper.

Speaker 1: I play Ruby Pedagruh, the Half-Horg, Gearslinger, Adept. Speaker 2: soothing and sensual. Speaker 2: Susan. Speaker 5: Hey, everybody. My name is Susan Spinator, and I'll be playing Speaker 5: Nythierre Ryland, the Elvin Rogue. Speaker 2: My God. You're all so talented. Speaker 3: I'm scared. Speaker 3: One away. Speaker 3: Today's session will be played with my microphone in my mouth. Speaker 6: I will be eating it the entire time. Speaker 3: Slowly devouring my microphone. Speaker 3: I don't cry. Speaker 6: I really do not want to clean this thing.

Speaker 6: So it is not going in my mouth. Speaker 2: No, that's fair. Don't do that. Speaker 6: No, no, no, no. Speaker 6: No, no, no. Speaker 2: Aubrey. Speaker 2: We're wrapping up things in Aubrey. Speaker 2: You are five NPCs heavy. Speaker 2: You have a gaggle of children now. Speaker 2: In your care. Speaker 2: Uh-huh. Speaker 2: Uh-huh. Speaker 2: We call them fodder. Speaker 2: No. Speaker 7: You do. Speaker 1: Let's go down the names here. Speaker 1: Let me make sure I got this right. Speaker 1: So we've got Chet. Speaker 1: We've got Chet.

Speaker 1: We've got aura. Speaker 1: Ora. Speaker 1: We have basilisk. Speaker 1: That's probably a nickname. Speaker 2: You can call them BAS for sure. Speaker 7: Oh, nice. I'm writing that down. Speaker 7: Bazz. Speaker 7: Yes. Speaker 1: We have Vetti, our old friend, Vetti. Speaker 7: Mm-hmm. Speaker 1: And we have Felix. Is that? Speaker 1: That's... Speaker 1: Felix, who is the eldest, yes. Speaker 1: And super handsome. Speaker 1: Yes. Yes. Yes. Speaker 8: Oh, is Felix joining us? Speaker 2: Well, we... Speaker 2: That wasn't really talked about last time.

Speaker 2: But, well, you know what? We'll solve it in character. Speaker 2: Because I wanted to... I wanted to talk about that just a little bit. Speaker 2: I know the four of them are joining, but Felix really wasn't involved in any... Speaker 2: Yeah. He has a couple of responsibility. Speaker 2: So like it might be difficult. Speaker 2: But yeah, well, solid and character. Speaker 2: I just said that. Speaker 2: I know there's a couple of things you wanted to wrap up before we start heading south Speaker 2: towards Esther Holt is my understanding.

Speaker 2: That was the plan last I heard. Speaker 2: That was the plan last you heard. Speaker 2: I'm ready for things to change at all times. Speaker 2: So are we. Speaker 8: We're going to Ebony Harbor. Speaker 8: We talked about it. Speaker 8: Ebony Harbor. Speaker 2: Got it. Speaker 8: Okay. Speaker 2: Here we come. Speaker 7: Just give me a minute. Speaker 2: Just start a Patreon campaign where people are going to Codei. Speaker 2: It's like a short run thing. Speaker 1: Oh, yeah. Speaker 2: Yeah. Speaker 2: Yeah. Speaker 1: How can you find out what about the Patreon?

Speaker 2: Oh, my God. Speaker 2: Well, if you go to patreon.com slash da and DR, if you'd like to help clothe and house us, Speaker 2: that's how you do it. Speaker 2: You can join for as little as a dollar. Speaker 2: and get yourself some ad-free episodes and stuff. Speaker 2: And yeah, it really helps us out. Speaker 2: Worth it. Speaker 8: Why did I instantly think? Speaker 8: Because you said, Clothes and House, and if you pay enough, you could on-clothes them. Speaker 1: There is a tear. Speaker 1: It's a tear. Speaker 1: Look, it's off-menu, but it's a tier.

Speaker 1: It's off-menu. Speaker 1: Yeah, it's tough. Speaker 2: And the tears vary based on who you're talking about, honestly. Speaker 9: Oh, yeah. Speaker 2: Mine's pretty cheap. Speaker 9: But he's like 50 bucks. Speaker 9: And Brianna's like 20 million. Speaker 9: Like there's a big gap. Speaker 2: Yeah. Speaker 10: Yeah. Speaker 2: Yeah. Speaker 10: Yeah. Speaker 10: Yeah. Speaker 10: I get a negative for 50 bucks. Speaker 2: Hell yeah. Speaker 2: But that goes right to Ian. Speaker 2: There's no cut off the top. Speaker 2: So. Speaker 2: We locally source our Ian.

Speaker 2: So all organic and free range. Speaker 8: They're not organic. Speaker 8: I know, Ian. Speaker 8: I know, Ian. Speaker 2: So this poor guy's been eating nothing but like chicken cutlets for months. Speaker 10: It's paying off. Speaker 2: You're in Marvel shape, baby. Speaker 10: But like, my God. Speaker 10: But I am 98% chicken cutlets. Speaker 10: I'm Speaker 2: Are you doing like a cosplay? Speaker 2: For, like, are you thinking about doing like a cosplay? Speaker 2: No, but I should. Speaker 2: That would be fun. Speaker 2: I mean, you've done the work.

Speaker 2: Now it's just making. Speaker 2: Like, that's true. Speaker 2: God, again, if I can get the four of you on stage for DragonCon, I know, I know, I know, Speaker 2: I know it's probably impossible, but ah, anyway. Speaker 2: Aubrey. Aubrey, what is it that you would like to do to, to what? Speaker 2: Like, I guess, does this change one, what you were going to do before you leave the Speaker 2: city. Two, any of your plans for travel. Three, how you outfit yourselves. Like, are there things Speaker 2: that you were going to say, ah, we don't need this, but now that you have four literal children with you.

Speaker 8: Um, we probably need to make sure they're outfitted. Speaker 8: We don't want them dying of exposure or starvation. Speaker 1: And Aubrey's known for being warm for whatever reason. Speaker 1: It's a fairly warm place. Speaker 1: These kids maybe don't even really know what it's like to be out for very long in this blizzardy world. Speaker 2: It's probably good question to ask. Speaker 2: Pardon the expression, but take the temperature of the group. Speaker 2: Like see, you know, like see who's been out and about before. Speaker 3: Just picture.

Speaker 3: Logger and I hear go around kissing four heads to get everybody's temperature. Speaker 7: Yeah. Speaker 7: Come down here. Speaker 7: Come down here. Speaker 7: Yeah. Speaker 3: You're running a little hot. Speaker 3: You're feeling okay. Speaker 3: Yeah. Speaker 3: So that's definitely in consideration. Speaker 3: So I guess, yeah, I guess in character, then, you know, as we're still in this hideout, I think. Speaker 3: Is that where we left off? Speaker 2: I want to. Speaker 2: If you have follow up, questions to ask or something like that, absolutely.

Speaker 2: We could do that. Speaker 2: I was going to pick up the next day. Speaker 3: Like, literally, like, give you guys a long rest. Speaker 3: We made an arrangement that they would just meet with us the next day. Speaker 3: I think that's fine. Speaker 3: We can do that. Speaker 1: Get your stuff. Speaker 1: Bring it. Speaker 1: We'll meet. Speaker 1: And then at that point, we'll assess whether they're even ready to go. Speaker 10: And don't fucking do anything. Speaker 10: Until you meet with us. Speaker 10: I think. Speaker 10: I also got to get paid.

Speaker 7: You got to get paid. Speaker 10: You wanted to go to the church anyway. Speaker 7: Yeah. Speaker 7: Exactly. Speaker 1: We're a couple reasons for that for sure. Speaker 1: So got to get paid and prayer. Speaker 8: Oh, yes. Speaker 8: We're very faithful. Speaker 1: Very proud. Speaker 1: Very faithful. Speaker 8: Uh-huh. Speaker 8: I don't know if Ian can, can chimera even enter holy graham? Speaker 10: I think so. Speaker 8: I think we went into the church. Speaker 10: It was just I got pressed on. Speaker 2: We went next to the church.

Speaker 2: You were. Speaker 2: So if you, okay, picture. Speaker 7: We'll find out. I guess. Speaker 2: You see the, if you see the large church in the, in the center there, right? Speaker 2: Picture that outer ring as storage and living quarters for people. Speaker 2: And then the church church is the center, right? Speaker 2: That like this great cathedral, this, you know, we'll see. Speaker 2: I wouldn't go grabbing anything holy. Speaker 2: You know, like... Speaker 3: Is a general rule. Speaker 2: Interpret that how you will. I don't know. Speaker 2: Don't get handy.

Speaker 2: So it is the 15th of all to arm. Speaker 2: And we're starting at dawn, right? Speaker 2: We're just going to kick things off. Speaker 2: You've instructed the youngans to head to the gate and wait for you. Speaker 2: Basically, grab all your stuff. Speaker 2: you know, say your goodbyes that you need to say, whatever, but like, don't do anything was the Speaker 2: mandate. I think that was probably said two or three times. That's a mantra. Speaker 3: I do believe they were invited to breakfast. Speaker 1: They don't have to be at bonds as.

Ruby's going to be eating enough breakfast for all of them. Speaker 3: I know we're going to have to go back there because there's no way we'll ever hear the end of it. Speaker 1: Yeah. Speaker 2: If, if they're invited, that's probably what would kick off the day. Speaker 2: So, you know, big, you get one of the big tables, eating family style. Speaker 2: And a couple of them have never been there before. Speaker 2: They're not flush with cash. Speaker 2: So like, you know, they're locals. Speaker 3: You don't go to the tourist place when you're a local.

Speaker 3: I get it. Speaker 1: Right. Speaker 1: You know what I mean? Speaker 1: Either way, Ruby is explaining how it works constantly. Speaker 1: You know, no, no, no, no. Speaker 1: Don't order that. Speaker 1: You have to order this way. Don't use the thing that way. You got to use the for pancakes. Speaker 10: Don't do this. If you don't do that. You got to wait for the train to come around with the basket. Speaker 2: I love that we just keep adding on to Bosn. How did we not think of conveyor belt? Speaker 8: Yeah. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right.

Oh, it's 10 is floating discs. So it's not even like on a belt. It's like on a floating disc. Speaker 1: It's like floating. But still with gears somehow. Yeah. Speaker 1: Drone airships, basically. Speaker 1: Bringing a deserts and stuff. Speaker 1: Yeah, exactly. Speaker 2: Yes. Speaker 2: Like servers just like dipped up diving. Speaker 3: Just dodging the entire thing. Speaker 3: When they ring the bell, everybody has to stop what they're doing and go like, Speaker 3: choo-choo. Speaker 1: Yeah, it's, yeah, Ruby's, okay, if they're there, then yeah, she's holding court, basically.

Speaker 1: Yeah. Speaker 1: Bonz's is her element. Speaker 2: 100%. Speaker 2: So after that, you guys eat, you know, you're, you're probably asking them questions. Speaker 2: Like, let's start. Speaker 2: It's like, have you ever been outside this city? Speaker 2: Right. Speaker 2: That's got to be question number one. Speaker 2: Yes. Speaker 2: And everyone except Vetti has. Speaker 2: So Vettie's a local and hates it. Speaker 2: Hates it. Speaker 2: In this, but like wants to see the world, wants to, you know, has probably heard stories of like, Speaker 2: oh, there used to be adventures everywhere.

Speaker 2: The place was lousy with them. Speaker 2: And now, you know, most of them froze to death, probably. Speaker 2: And you're going to get a, the last person to get to the city was chat. Speaker 2: And he's from Brightport. Speaker 2: And he's kind of being cagey about it. Speaker 2: Like he'll, like, he'll give you answers. Speaker 2: They're very direct. Speaker 2: But he'll kind of find an excuse to cut himself off. Speaker 2: Like, it's like, well, like, you know, I'm eating pancakes. Speaker 2: Like, just kind of like cut himself. Speaker 2: It's like, you know, I.

Speaker 2: I got here at 16 and I've been here ever since. Speaker 2: So it's been a little over a year, something like that. Speaker 8: I want to ask them about their gear situation and maybe even inspect it to make sure that they are prepared to go outside the gates. Speaker 8: They have. Speaker 8: And stuff. Speaker 10: Yeah. Speaker 10: I already know this answer. Speaker 10: This is like when you're a kid and your parents are like, do you have your winter coat? Speaker 10: And you're like, yeah, I'm fine, I'll be good. Speaker 10: And you just have like a threadbare sweatshirt.

Speaker 10: And you're like, no, I'm going to get someone called on me. Speaker 10: Yeah. Speaker 2: So there's a great portion of World Warwick, both the audio book and the regular book. Speaker 2: Not the movie. Speaker 2: Never the movie. Speaker 2: Where a bunch of people flee north because they. Speaker 2: They hear, like, hey, zombie's freeze. Speaker 2: So we can get up north and we can escape this. Speaker 2: But the problem is, it was a bunch of suburbanites heading up north, having no idea how to survive. Speaker 2: So, like, people would have their My Little Pony sleeping bag, which is rated for a house at 70 degrees.

Speaker 2: And they're sleeping in the cold with it. Speaker 2: So this is kind of the equivalent of that. Speaker 2: All of them do have some kind of weapon. Speaker 2: They, they... Speaker 2: So, running down the list, Speaker 2: Chet is probably the most outfitted in that he has a big winter cloak type of thing, Speaker 2: and he's ready to go. Speaker 2: He is sporting a sword that is a two-hander, which he will grow into. Speaker 2: But that time is not quite yet. Speaker 2: Looking at tiny cloud strife right now, like a little bit. Speaker 2: Baz is actually just going to use his fists.

Speaker 2: He's fine. Speaker 2: Like, he's up close, personal, uh, and yeah. Speaker 2: And Vetti has these twin daggers that she's really keen on using. Speaker 2: These things look brand new. Speaker 2: Like, these things have never tasted blood before ever. Speaker 2: And, but probably plays with them a lot. Speaker 2: You know what I mean? Speaker 2: Like the always sharpening them, like they're somehow dull. Speaker 2: for some reason. Speaker 2: They've never, you know what I mean? Speaker 2: Orra's the most peculiar in that... Speaker 2: We're going back to that My Little Pony thing.

Speaker 2: ORA is very much style over substance. Speaker 2: She's got a leather jacket and she is... Speaker 2: A fashionista over anything else. Speaker 2: Oh, yeah. Let's go, Diva. Speaker 2: If it doesn't... Speaker 2: If it doesn't... Speaker 2: If it doesn't... Speaker 2: It does it coordinate with her outfit. She's not wearing it. Like, that's just it. She's not using it. Speaker 2: If it's, you know, so she's very... She's very style-minded above survival, probably. So she might need the Speaker 2: the most keeping an eye on. Speaker 2: Well, fashion is a weapon.

So... Speaker 4: I don't know about that. Speaker 10: She's pretty much drawn to Kymir on by the way. Speaker 2: Yeah, just it. Speaker 2: I mean, not to a wolf, but you know. Speaker 2: Right. Speaker 8: Looking to Kimera, because I think he'll pick up on the queue. Speaker 8: Ultimately, Nighttheir is like we need to get them outfitted properly. Speaker 8: But she's going to say and give them a meaningful look, Speaker 8: maybe you could take them shopping for a little extra supplies. Speaker 10: You want me to take the kids shopping? Speaker 8: For stuff that will protect them from the cold, but also...

Speaker 10: Oh, right. Yes. Stuff that will protect them from being dull. Excellent. Yes. We can do that. Speaker 10: Looks like aura here is kind of caught on already. Or a great job. You've already got it. We just need to get you something a little warmer. Like maybe some fur or something. We'll cloak. Now it looks snazzy. Speaker 11: Some layers. Speaker 11: Lots of layers. Speaker 10: Oh, yeah, yeah. Speaker 10: You want them billowing out. Speaker 10: You want them sort of like flowing. Speaker 10: No billowing. Speaker 10: Stop it. Speaker 10: So what is the deal with all of you?

Speaker 10: Are you all like orphans or what is? Speaker 10: What is that? Speaker 10: So that's kind of a loaded question. Speaker 1: Like in Ruby immediately with fork in her mouth. Speaker 1: They're not orphans. Speaker 1: She's already clocked on this. Speaker 7: They're not orphan. Speaker 8: I think that he is. Speaker 8: Yeah. Speaker 2: So they're not real. Speaker 8: That's like whatever it is. Speaker 2: It's like 90s. Speaker 2: Yeah. Speaker 2: Yeah. Speaker 2: Yeah. Speaker 7: Yeah. Speaker 2: There's a t-shirt. Speaker 2: These are real slip shot orphans.

Speaker 2: Honestly. Speaker 2: Real T-moor orphans. Speaker 7: Oh. Speaker 7: Oh. Speaker 2: So. Speaker 2: So three of them definitely, they're, they're all orphans. Speaker 2: Vettie's parents are dead. Speaker 2: Chet was disowned. Speaker 2: And again, you're going to get very short answers from Chet. Speaker 2: Just, you know, because you're, you basically essentially ask this group of children. Speaker 2: So all your parents dead or just like it's, you know. Speaker 2: Yes. Speaker 2: But it's not, again, you're in the adventuring life. Speaker 2: So it's not a ridiculous question.

Speaker 2: Oral left home and she'll just kind of tell you like I, you know, just wasn't feeling it. Speaker 2: And I high-fiver. Speaker 2: I high-five. Speaker 10: That's awesome, Ora. Speaker 2: And Basilisk has no friggin' clue. Speaker 2: He was just dropped off as a baby. Speaker 8: Oh. Speaker 8: Oh. Speaker 2: And you're also, so, so, Basilis, we've, we've a stuven. Speaker 2: They call him that because his skin is like crazy firm, like rock hard, basically. Speaker 2: And he's about six foot, like pretty goddamn muscular. Speaker 2: He's also nine years old in his culture.

Speaker 2: So he's, that's one of the reasons he's so quiet. Speaker 2: Like he ages a little faster, but he's still nine years old. Speaker 2: Like, he has no understanding of how this continent works at all. Speaker 2: So he might have clocked Loughran as like, not a father figure, Speaker 2: but just like, this guy's got it together. Speaker 2: Like, I'm going to stick with him. Speaker 2: I like the cut of his jib. Speaker 2: And stability. Speaker 2: Stability. Speaker 10: Yeah. Speaker 3: That's why he keeps appearing next to me. Speaker 3: Yeah.

Speaker 3: Yeah. Speaker 3: Um. Speaker 3: Okay, yeah. So if we're going shopping after breakfast, I'm happy to have came here. Speaker 3: That Loggren's going to go back to one of his original items on his list, which is while Speaker 3: we're in the market district again. First of all, he'll tell everybody he spoke to previously Speaker 3: about the cart driver that we scored, Rafin. Speaker 7: Oh. Speaker 3: Mm-hmm. Just kind of like, hey, we did end up getting somebody who can who can schlep. Speaker 3: the stuff to Frostborn and back. Speaker 3: But secondarily, he will see if there's any caravans traveling south that we can hitch on to, Speaker 3: maybe take a job as guards or something like that, because it seems like a better way to travel.

Speaker 2: Okay. Speaker 2: And I know there's a trip to the church. Speaker 2: So let's do this. Speaker 2: The shopping stuff can be in the background right now. Speaker 2: Oh, yeah. Speaker 2: We don't need to outfit every year. Speaker 2: teenager. Now, that being said, there are character sheets ready to go, and they are outfitted with Speaker 2: their bare essentials. They are all sub-level one. Like, they're, they, you know, they're in the Speaker 8: tutorial stage. We haven't reached credits yet for them. Yeah. I think we're just making sure that they Speaker 8: have rations and clothing, so they won't just immediately die outside of the gates.

Speaker 1: Even weapons is like just weapons enough in case they had to beat something off of them. They're like trying to Speaker 1: attack them, but nothing that they could hurt themselves with very much, if possible. Speaker 2: Right. Speaker 2: And they range from, you know, 14 to 17. Speaker 2: So they're not kid kids. Speaker 2: Right. Speaker 2: They're not skilled fighters either. Speaker 10: And then we're getting each one of them, at least one piece of flare. Speaker 10: So. Oh, yes. Speaker 10: I leave that up to you. Speaker 2: Or by the way, we'll love this.

Speaker 2: Like, you probably have to institute a budget fairly quickly. Speaker 2: Because this will. Speaker 10: Yeah. Speaker 10: Because it's like, we're getting paid, so go crazy. Speaker 10: Yeah, yeah, yeah. Speaker 8: Oh, should we restock on a health potion, too? Speaker 8: Because that's just our general ammo. Speaker 10: Oh, yeah. Speaker 1: Every time we're about to take off, we definitely should. Speaker 10: We might need it. Speaker 10: I should. I need at least two. Speaker 10: So if we can get basic two. Speaker 10: Sure. Speaker 8: We just always get health potions because we'd be dying.

Speaker 2: Are you going to get one for each of them to hold just in case of emergency? Speaker 10: Oh, my God. Speaker 2: It's expensive. Speaker 2: It's expensive. Speaker 10: Yes, we should. Speaker 10: That's adorable. Speaker 10: I mean, it's not adorable that they would be hurt so bad that they have to drink health potions. Speaker 3: But just tie a little tag to it for emergencies only. Speaker 3: Yeah. Speaker 3: It's around their neck, though. Speaker 3: It's like, here, got to wear this. Speaker 3: Got to wear this. Speaker 3: It's like pinning a $20 bill inside their call.

Speaker 8: Like they're lucky children. Speaker 8: Latched key children, that's not. Speaker 2: Lucky. Speaker 8: I was a last few child. Speaker 8: I forgot what it was called. Speaker 2: Yeah, no, I wasn't part of the program, but I definitely was a much kid. Speaker 2: Like, just I just get the cold. Speaker 2: You can take care of yourself. Speaker 8: You can take care of yourself. It's fine. Speaker 8: Yeah. Speaker 2: So you guys are, you're at the stage where I don't think. Speaker 2: like a basic health potion is going to do it for you guys.

Speaker 2: So now a basic health potion is great for them. Speaker 2: 50 gold will pop and it does 2D4 plus two hit points. Speaker 2: A greater health potion is 4D4 plus four hit points. Speaker 2: Hmm. Speaker 2: Okay. Speaker 2: Now assume a couple of those fours are going to be on the lower side, right? Speaker 2: Like we're getting to the point where you guys have 20, 30 hit points now. Speaker 10: Like what's the difference in cost? Speaker 2: 150. Speaker 2: I don't like that. Speaker 3: It's price. Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't like that mark up.

Speaker 3: I think we're sticking with, I mean, Speaker 3: Lagrin's sticking with basic. Speaker 3: He can deal with bottom shelf. Speaker 8: I still have five basic as well. Speaker 3: Well, realize you can only drink one at a time. Speaker 8: Yeah. Speaker 3: Okay. Speaker 3: You put them between two fingers, right? Speaker 8: Yeah. Speaker 3: Yeah. Speaker 3: You do the waterfalls, so one pours into this other one. Speaker 8: You trade up a basic action. Speaker 8: and don't take a maneuver. There's three potions right there. Speaker 3: I think you get more of a stone cold Steve Austin situation where you're just Speaker 2: dumping.

You know, most of it's going to hit your mouth, but sounds cool. I don't know. Speaker 7: Yeah. Granted. Speaker 3: Just raging with eight potions. Speaker 10: So, okay. So we need. So we go four and then we get four basic for the for the kids. Speaker 10: Speaking of money. Speaker 2: Let's clarify some things for our, for both myself and our listeners. Speaker 2: So you're about to get a pretty big payday. Speaker 2: You already got a pretty big payday from the church. Speaker 2: It sounds like you're going back to claim the rest of it. Speaker 8: We're not taking the kids.

Speaker 2: The church, no. Speaker 2: Okay. Speaker 2: Okay. Speaker 2: Okay. Speaker 2: Okay. Speaker 2: We'll see how that works out. Speaker 2: One, are you sending a. Speaker 2: any money back to the fort. Speaker 8: Why? Speaker 3: Do they need it? Speaker 3: You mean the next in addition to all the business we just sent from? Speaker 3: Okay. Speaker 3: Okay, hold on. Speaker 3: I said this yesterday. Speaker 2: You weren't there for it, Jameson. Speaker 2: What you're doing, Speaker 2: that wasn't accusatory. Speaker 2: You just weren't there.

Speaker 2: You were busy. Speaker 2: Sorry, you weren't there. Speaker 2: Yeah. Speaker 2: No. Speaker 2: Every other member of the team was, but that's, you know, Speaker 2: You're giving everybody crypto in 2010. Speaker 2: They all get Bitcoin. Speaker 2: And right now it's not worth anything. Speaker 2: The trade routes aren't set up yet. Speaker 2: You're just sending people there. Speaker 2: So when the trade routes are set up, that's fantastic. Speaker 2: But right now they have four walls and that's kind of it. Speaker 3: So I mean, so here's the thing.

Speaker 3: As somebody who is like we're playing characters that con people. Speaker 3: But I actually don't see it that way as far as the trade route goes. Speaker 3: He's not intentionally trying to mislead. Speaker 3: lead people. He's trying to establish a trade route. Speaker 2: I'm not saying you're trying to mislead people. You're trying to set it up. Speaker 3: I immediately assumed that you thought I was being an asshole. Speaker 2: No, no, no, no, no. I'm in coin specifically in 2010. So it does pay off for a while. Speaker 2: Like, there's a ceiling.

Like, it's going to be, there's going to be big good times, you know. Speaker 2: But you own pets.com in 1999. Okay. There we go. It's a little better. Yeah. Speaker 3: Apple stock and whenever that was before that was full. Speaker 7: Yeah. Speaker 3: So, yes, that's fine. Speaker 3: I'm not a time share salesman, but. Speaker 3: But. Speaker 3: But. Speaker 3: I do have some. Speaker 3: Yeah. Speaker 3: So, I mean, yes, we are very much trying to establish trade routes, Speaker 3: which involves risk with everybody involved. Speaker 3: But there's no con at going on there.

Speaker 3: The con is with this holy man. Speaker 3: and we're about to go see. Speaker 3: Mm-hmm. Speaker 3: So, yeah. Speaker 3: But I do think that we're going to keep the kids shopping and away from the church while we collect Speaker 3: from the church. Speaker 3: Yeah. Speaker 2: Keep them indoors. Speaker 2: And the party member that might spontaneously burst into flames if you get him inside Speaker 2: the church. Speaker 7: Yes. Speaker 3: Probably good. Speaker 3: It'll draw attention. Speaker 3: While we're in Aubrey, I feel like we very much have our teams, right?

Speaker 3: Because, like, Lagrin and Camara probably shopping and Ruby. Speaker 3: and I fear are probably back at the church again. Speaker 3: So that makes sense. Speaker 2: Well, let's go to the church. Speaker 2: Let's settle that. Speaker 2: Okay. Speaker 2: So there's two things I know you wanted to do. Speaker 2: You wanted to go talk to the priest, Speaker 2: and you wanted to case the joint, basically. Speaker 2: Pretty much. Speaker 1: Unless you have a more politically correct way of putting it. Speaker 1: It's just, I. Speaker 1: Well, so we did some research.

Speaker 1: We found that, Speaker 2: And that phrase is ruined. Speaker 1: Yeah. Speaker 1: But we did find that there may be a demon horn that might be held on display in the church. Speaker 1: And that is something on the list of things that we may need for putting some stuff together in the future. Speaker 1: So at least, I mean, Aubrey is right now we're in low level enough. Speaker 1: That this is like, hmm, maybe we can come back here and figure this out later. Speaker 1: but lay an eyes on that horn would not be a terrible thing for us to do.

Speaker 1: That's what it feels like. Speaker 1: That's all. Speaker 1: Yeah. Speaker 1: There you go. Speaker 2: Well, walking into the church proper, like the actual cathedral, it is immense, obviously. Speaker 2: It looks like this place could, it looks like a stadium. Speaker 2: It looks like a small, like, this place might be able to sit like eight, nine thousand people. Speaker 1: Like, it is a massive. Speaker 1: It's a mega church. Speaker 2: It's a mega church. Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah. Speaker 2: It is. Speaker 2: And there is in a much classier way than Bonzo's.

Speaker 2: Shit all over the walls. Speaker 2: But it's holy shit. Speaker 2: You know what I mean? Speaker 2: So there's all kinds of artifacts in case, in class, in glass, and Speaker 2: stuff. And you're realizing the thing you're looking for is probably larger. Speaker 2: So you're kind of like craning your head up. Speaker 2: And you're going to see this mural. Speaker 2: There is this massive demon. And at first you're like, oh, okay, they drew it really big on the Speaker 2: wall so that we could say it's to scale. Because one of its horns, Speaker 2: which is kind of bent back and kind of curls.

Speaker 2: It's almost three feet long. Speaker 2: So in D&D Parley, Speaker 2: this is a gargantuan creature. Speaker 2: Like, this is massive. Speaker 2: Damn. Speaker 2: And this, there's like, there's a little story below it, Speaker 2: that this giant demon was summoned to be slain by their paladin. Speaker 2: It was the final test for the first batch. Speaker 2: You have the heralds in Aubrey and that's the horn. Speaker 2: That is that. Speaker 2: So it's up about 15 feet like it's on the wall. Speaker 2: It's part of this mural and it is fastened to the wall like.

Speaker 2: Yeah. Speaker 1: Ruby is going to. Speaker 1: So they're going to be wandering around. Speaker 1: There's a bunch of stuff to see. Speaker 1: This is absolutely huge. Speaker 1: At some point, she's just going to smack and I think there. Speaker 1: That's it. Speaker 1: That's it. That's it. And she is going to be calculating right now. Just for future reference, how's it fastened? How far up is it? She's going to be just doing like there's going to be numbers floating all around her head. Kind of the whole, you know, like geometry and diagram and whatever.

And night theory is going to be like scoping out the room being like here's the points of entry. Here's a way that we could like get in the quickest, the fastest routes. Here's where we could hide. Like. Speaker 1: Just any sort of notes. Speaker 1: There will be clergy members everywhere. Speaker 2: A lot of them are having smaller conversations Speaker 2: or they're setting up for the next mass. Speaker 2: You'll probably get two of them walk up to you at one point. Speaker 2: It's like, welcome to the churches or anything we could do. Speaker 2: Do you need counsel?

Speaker 2: That type of thing. Speaker 2: And, you know, actually, how would you answer that? Speaker 2: No, just looking at the demon here. Speaker 1: When was this? Speaker 1: Was this like? Speaker 1: recently or was this like before the church was built? Speaker 2: Oh, wow. Speaker 2: We're coming up on the 40-year anniversary soon. Speaker 1: 40 years. Speaker 1: Hmm. Speaker 1: Well, uh, no, I don't think we need any counsel now. Speaker 1: I think we got everything we needed. Speaker 2: Well, if you need to confess anything, please, just find one of us, Speaker 2: and we'd be happy to...

Speaker 2: absolve you of your sins. Speaker 1: Oh, I don't have any. Speaker 1: But if I have any at some point, I'll make sure I come over and I'll find you. Speaker 1: Dude's going to give you a look like, uh-huh. Speaker 2: And just it's like, I'm not going to argue with you. Speaker 2: That's fine. Speaker 2: I'm not, I'm not going to force you or whatever. Speaker 2: But like. Speaker 1: This one, though, she's going to point her thumb over at Nithera. Speaker 8: Woo. Speaker 8: I prefer to keep my own counsel when it comes to religious. Speaker 8: but I appreciate the architecture.

Speaker 2: And he probably, it's like, oh, we have books on the wonderful dwarves that built this. Speaker 2: There's a lengthy history, incredibly talented people. Speaker 2: And if you're ever interested, and he's going to kind of point. Speaker 2: And he's going to point over to where the stacks are, but the public portion of it, it's like, I urge you that there are many illustrations of it in its infancy all the way till now. Speaker 8: It's beautiful work, very well done. Speaker 8: Probably the best, only the best clan of the dwarves could have pulled this off.

Speaker 1: So hang on. Speaker 1: She's going to slap like smack one more time. Speaker 1: Hang on. Are you saying that there are books that have like maps of this place and like how it's built and things like that? Speaker 2: Well, I don't know about actual schematics. That's not really my forte. But I'm sure they exist in the stack somewhere. Speaker 2: The building's regularly maintenance. So sure. Speaker 8: Yes. Speaker 8: I'm sure kind of nudging a Ruby. Speaker 8: That's someone of the Cragborn clan, the clan that built this place, would know of such things.

Speaker 1: Yeah, that's a good point. Speaker 1: Listen, you've been real helpful. Speaker 1: We need to talk to somebody named... Speaker 1: What was it? Speaker 1: Dural. Priest. Speaker 1: Is there a Dirlin around here somewhere? Speaker 1: Oh, yes, absolutely. Speaker 1: I'll get him for you. Speaker 2: And he'll scamper off and send him over. Speaker 2: And the problem with this place being so big is it's awful for entrances. Speaker 2: So he'll come from a side door and it's like, oh, I see. And he's like, oh, I can't. Speaker 2: And just, he's got to like.

Speaker 2: Tuddle his way over there. And he's a little, a little heavier set, you know. So he's going to get to. Speaker 2: It's like, oh, it's so good to see you. Speaker 2: Like, just trying to play it off. Speaker 2: Like, you know. Speaker 8: We handled the problem quietly and cleanly. Speaker 8: The thieves won't be troubling you or the city anymore. Speaker 2: I'll taking care of. Speaker 2: Those words coming from any other member of the party. Speaker 2: Might not sound so ominous. Speaker 2: But. Speaker 2: He'll be elated and then listen to the words in a nonviolent way, I hope.

Speaker 8: What we did want to attract any attention. Speaker 2: That's not comforting. Speaker 2: Okay. Speaker 2: So they'll never find the bodies. Speaker 8: Your hands are feet. Speaker 8: That is I. Speaker 2: Okay. That is we need to talk. Speaker 2: No, no, no emoji, no nothing. Speaker 8: Yes. Speaker 2: That's a text. Speaker 1: Yeah, that's not good. Speaker 8: Don't worry. Speaker 8: Your hands are clean of this matter. Speaker 1: Ruby, again, smacks her. Speaker 1: They're fine, but they're not going to be here anymore. Speaker 1: It's all taking care of.

Speaker 1: I'm telling you, they're okay. Speaker 1: But also, you're going to be okay. Speaker 2: I have to admit, I wasn't expecting this to be done so, so quickly. Speaker 2: I'm very impressed with your work, not a shred of him, thinks you didn't do what you said you did. Speaker 2: Like just like instant. Speaker 8: I mean, we got rid of them. Speaker 8: They're not going to be it down anymore. Speaker 8: Yeah. Speaker 8: Okay, stop saying it like that. Speaker 8: Okay. Speaker 8: He asked for us to take him out of town or to take him into church for custody.

Speaker 3: We took them out. Speaker 7: You took them out. Speaker 2: We took them out. Speaker 2: Like a murderer you sound. Speaker 2: Like a Susan does. Speaker 2: Yeah. Now I'm starting to. It's like, oh, man, you've been in Florida too long. Speaker 8: I was filled with rings, guys. Speaker 3: We all are, but they are not, not, not, not. Speaker 3: Not alive. Speaker 8: You don't have to worry about it anymore. Speaker 3: We handle. Speaker 2: So he, oh my God. Speaker 2: He's going to still, every once in all, Speaker 2: just kind of like flit his eyes over to tonight there.

Speaker 2: Just and be concerned. Speaker 2: Just because it almost feels like she's going out of her way to correct your correction. Speaker 2: It's like, no, no, no. Speaker 2: Like, just making little... Speaker 2: It's like, okay. Speaker 8: Yeah. Speaker 2: Well, I... Speaker 8: She's falling to, like, playing with a scar on her neck. Speaker 8: Yeah, right. Speaker 2: I'll get the rest of your money. Speaker 2: I... Speaker 2: How? Speaker 2: How you did it? Speaker 2: I... Speaker 2: How did you... Speaker 2: How did you... Speaker 2: managed to peacefully get them to leave.

Speaker 1: Well, Speaker 1: Nithera has a way with words if you Speaker 1: didn't notice. We talked to them. We figured Speaker 1: out what was going on. We figured out who they were, Speaker 1: what they needed to do, what they wanted to do, and Speaker 1: convinced them otherwise. Speaker 2: I could see where that would be effective. Speaker 2: All right. Let me... Speaker 2: Let me go get the rest of your payment and... Speaker 2: I thank you so much for what you've done for not just the church, but the city as a whole today. Speaker 1: Well, I mean, we appreciate you having found us.

Speaker 1: I mean, honestly, it was win-win for everybody. Speaker 1: Listen, this is not going to be the last time we make our way to Aubrey. Speaker 1: We're going to be taken off actually really soon. Speaker 1: In fact, we'd love to see you again. Speaker 1: Hopefully we'll be able to cross pass. Speaker 8: And night there is going to hold. Speaker 8: hold out her hand to him. Speaker 8: And for a shake and say, Speaker 8: I'm glad that we could help maintain the balance and order you strive for. Speaker 8: And in her hand, she's actually going to have his, Speaker 8: his family heirloom relic, and she's going to give it back to him.

Speaker 2: Are you, are you sure? Speaker 2: The young man yesterday seemed troubled. Speaker 8: I think family heirloom should stay in the family. Speaker 2: Please stay here for one moment. Speaker 2: I'm going to get the rest of your payment, Speaker 2: and I think I have something else that might age you under journeys. Speaker 1: I mean, if it helps any, he's going to be trouble no matter what you do, so. Speaker 8: My dear will probably let out a little scum. Speaker 8: off like I did. Speaker 2: Don't worry. Speaker 2: He's with the children.

Speaker 2: Uncle Kimer has got it. Speaker 7: It's fine. Speaker 2: He's going to run and get the 8 grand. Speaker 2: So that's 8,000 gold. Speaker 2: That's kill you money, by the way. Speaker 8: Yeah. Speaker 2: Easy. Speaker 8: Yeah. Speaker 2: And he's going to come back with this, this banded gold bracelet. Speaker 2: And he's going to hand this to Nithira specifically. Speaker 2: When you see your friend again, tell him that this isn't a family heirlo, but it is a church heirloom. Speaker 2: It'll protect him on the road. Speaker 8: I'm sure he will appreciate this.

Speaker 8: Is it a holy relic? Speaker 2: In a sense, yes. Speaker 2: Well, not specifically godly necessarily, Speaker 2: but I've always found it to be... Speaker 2: Well, meaning, I guess, is the phrase. Speaker 8: I'm sure he will enjoy it. Speaker 2: It might be too flashy for some. Speaker 2: I don't know if your friend is... Speaker 8: Oh, no, not for him. Speaker 8: This is not fleshy enough, frankly. Speaker 8: But I'm sure he will enjoy it. Speaker 2: I could be dazzle it. Speaker 2: I... Speaker 8: He would appreciate it, honestly, but we don't have time.

Speaker 2: It's like he handed you a Rolex. Speaker 2: Like it is a flashy piece. Speaker 2: Like it is a yeah. Speaker 2: Yeah. Speaker 2: And with that, he'll just bid you a do. Speaker 2: And wish you good luck on your future adventures. Speaker 2: In his mind, you guys are like missionaries. Speaker 2: You're going to another city to help them. Speaker 2: And like that's just, yeah. Speaker 2: We are. Speaker 8: We took care of his problem. Speaker 1: Ruby on Tudaloo, and then she's going to turn and face Nithera. Speaker 1: So nobody else could see her face.

Speaker 1: And she's going to make a face like, oh, my God. Speaker 1: She's holding whatever money, however this, however this was given to a sack or something like that. Speaker 1: Oh, my. Speaker 1: She's got a lot. Speaker 7: It's heavy. Speaker 7: It's heavy. Speaker 7: It's heavy as hell. Speaker 7: Oh, my God. Speaker 1: Honestly. Speaker 1: Yeah. Speaker 1: Yeah. Speaker 8: I forgot it was 8,000. Speaker 8: Man. Speaker 1: What don't we do with it? Speaker 1: I mean, we'll take it back to everybody. Speaker 1: Can we do anything on the way?

Speaker 8: I don't think this is a type of place for gambling. Speaker 1: No, I just want like caramels or something. Speaker 8: Oh, yeah, we'll definitely get camels. Speaker 8: There'll be plenty. Speaker 1: $20 can buy many peanuts. Speaker 8: We have to stock up after we gave them all to Grimble. Speaker 2: Yes, please. Speaker 2: If you don't come back with candy. Speaker 2: This will be so disappointed. Speaker 2: I own a grimble. Speaker 2: Her name is Luna. Speaker 2: I'll tell you what the penalty is right now. Speaker 8: Maybe we should send some candy with Raffin.

Speaker 8: Yeah. Speaker 1: It's the when we travel, whenever I travel, if I go out of the country or something like that and I come back, Speaker 1: I have to, there's candy in different countries that's different from. Speaker 1: everywhere else. Speaker 1: Got to bring back the candies. Speaker 8: So we're not sending any money. Speaker 8: We're not sending any like actual help, but we will send candy to the fort. Speaker 10: It's like when the Amazon employees get like a little pencil and like glittering. Speaker 10: Like great work. Thanks for being part of the family.

Speaker 3: The raw band is to symbolize bouncing. Speaker 3: back from anything. Speaker 7: Oh, my God. Speaker 3: Look, look. Speaker 1: But for real, Ruby would definitely get candy. Speaker 1: Wherever, just like, load up. Speaker 1: Sure. Yeah. Speaker 2: An equally heavy sack. Speaker 3: You go to one of those. Speaker 3: One of those places that lets you do scoops of like, I'm going to get the gummy frogs. Speaker 2: Oh, yes. Speaker 2: Yeah. Speaker 2: Yeah. Speaker 2: Do you know what I wish we had? Speaker 2: Like, I think we have it, but it's like a seasonal thing.

Speaker 2: England has like a. Speaker 2: Candy corn. Speaker 2: Fuck candy corn. Speaker 2: Sorry. Speaker 7: I don't want to open this. I'm sorry. Speaker 7: I know. Speaker 2: I know. Speaker 7: I know. Speaker 7: I know. Speaker 7: I know. Speaker 2: It's fine. Speaker 2: Um, chocolate orange juice. Speaker 2: Oh, yeah. Speaker 2: Yeah. Speaker 2: Yeah. Speaker 2: Those things are fucking awesome. Speaker 2: They're great. I don't know why I like them. Speaker 8: I don't know. Speaker 2: Maybe that's the candy corn of New England. Speaker 1: I don't know.

Speaker 8: I don't think I've had it. Speaker 1: They take. Speaker 1: so they have, um, Speaker 1: Cadbury's makes them. There are many places to make them. Speaker 1: But it's chocolate made in such in a mold that basically it's like little orange slices. Speaker 1: What you do is you take it and you smash it on the, not smash it, but you bang it on the desk. Speaker 3: The nearest brother. Speaker 3: Yeah. Speaker 1: And all the slices sort of fall off of it. Speaker 1: Actually, it turns out the Trader Joe's during the winter months actually carries something very similar.

Speaker 1: So next time I'm there and they have some, I'll pick you up some. Speaker 1: Oh, that'd be great. Speaker 8: I'm going to try it. Speaker 1: Everybody gets them when they come back. Speaker 1: All I need is your dresses. Speaker 1: As if I don't know exactly where you all live. Speaker 8: Right. Speaker 8: I know where you live. Speaker 1: Terrifying. Thank you. Speaker 1: Damn it. Speaker 8: Wevery. Speaker 8: I'm not going to come. Speaker 8: True. Speaker 3: I told you. Speaker 3: Terrible. Speaker 3: Jameson. Speaker 3: Let's catch up with Logger.

Speaker 3: This is very much shopping with Speaker 3: dad with the cool uncle along. Speaker 1: Cool uncles. Speaker 3: Yeah. Speaker 3: Well, yeah. Speaker 3: So the Loggren's like, no, that's not what we're here for, put it back? Speaker 3: And meanwhile Camara is like, oh, this will be, you know. Speaker 7: Yeah. Speaker 3: Like sneaking stuff off to the side. Speaker 3: But anyway, what Logrin is focused on, because I don't know how much time we want to spend on it, Speaker 3: but Logger is focused on. Speaker 3: We're going to get each of the kids a potion.

Speaker 3: Camara wants to top up with two more. Speaker 3: Logrin wants to top up with two more. Speaker 3: So that's 400 gold and 15. Speaker 3: 50 gold potions. Speaker 3: And then logger is going to basically like mix and match whatever we need. Speaker 3: He'll spend another 50 gold and getting more cold weather gear for these kids. Speaker 3: So whatever, like you need, you need socks and he'll get, you know, whatever. Speaker 3: Another 50 gold will go into just making sure that they're better outfitted than they already are. Speaker 2: So kids are really good at clocking who's a mark.

Speaker 2: And so to speak. Speaker 2: These kids specifically. Speaker 2: So while the first couple of times, like, Logrin is definitely got the I'm in charge energy. Speaker 2: But Chimera has the I've asked dad and he said, no, mom, can I? Speaker 2: And every time I picture Chimera's like, like, just like in the background, Speaker 2: it's like, yeah, yeah, it's good. Speaker 2: Like, yeah. Speaker 2: I'm just giving like thumbs up. Speaker 2: Yeah. Speaker 3: There's no registers, but like we're like, we're like, we're like, we're like, we're like, we're like, Speaker 3: paying for everything.

Speaker 3: He was like, I'll just get here. Speaker 8: How? Why do we have this cape? It's completely unpractical. Speaker 1: This is so warm. Speaker 7: Yeah. Speaker 2: Burlap. Speaker 2: I am adding these things to your characters now. Speaker 2: And I added children. Speaker 10: I added two potions already to me. Speaker 10: So you don't. Speaker 10: That's right? Speaker 10: You don't need to add anything for me. Speaker 3: Yeah, I'll go ahead and add mine too. Speaker 3: And Lagrin had 400 gold on his person, so we'll take that off. Speaker 3: I don't know where the 2000 we got previously was.

Speaker 3: Plus, whatever that priest had on himself, because we also took his personal money last time. Speaker 2: He dropped him. Speaker 2: Yes. Speaker 2: Yeah. Speaker 2: There's a name for that. Speaker 2: Yes. Speaker 3: Yeah. Speaker 3: No, well, he gave it to us. Speaker 3: I permanently. Speaker 3: Yes. Speaker 7: Yeah. Speaker 7: That was a gift. Speaker 7: Yeah. Speaker 3: He did put it in our hands. Speaker 3: He's going to get reimbursed for that. Speaker 7: It's an investment. Speaker 3: I don't know who has that money, though. Speaker 3: Petty cat.

Speaker 3: Yeah, it's a slush fund. Speaker 8: Probably loggering. Speaker 3: Probably me. Yeah, okay. Speaker 8: Probably. Speaker 3: Yeah. What should I be adding back to my inventory for yesterday? Speaker 3: Last session is gold. Speaker 3: Because I know they got $8,000 today. Speaker 2: Yeah. Let's start with $2,000. Speaker 2: And Nythera and Rebigh, and Reb. Speaker 2: have eight grand and then minus all the stuff we had to buy. So you're outfitting. Like, obviously, Speaker 2: you're not getting plus one gear for these kids, right? But you are making sure that they're starting Speaker 2: from scratch, some of them.

So while it's like, all right, okay, you need a coat, you need this, Speaker 2: you need that. Like, you're not thinking about day four on the road when you are, you know what I mean? Speaker 2: Like you have a hunting knife. Do you, okay, we need rope? We need, you know, so you're getting them all this Speaker 3: shit. Right. They're getting their travelers packs or their adventurers packs and their level one Speaker 2: character. Yeah. That's their stuff. So picture, like, ORA specifically had like a pink Speaker 2: roly bag at the airport. Like that's kind of, like, three.

Like basically, yeah, if pre came on an Speaker 2: adventure and yeah. So, so this is going to end up costing about 1,200. Speaker 2: gold total. Speaker 2: Including the potions? Speaker 2: Including the potions. Okay. That's fine. Speaker 2: We did. It's canon that you pick the lowest possible quality. Speaker 2: Yeah. Speaker 3: That is what your life is worth. That is what we're saying. Speaker 3: I have 20 points. It's fine. Speaker 8: I have 20. Speaker 1: I have 20. Okay. Okay. You got to paint for the future. You're going to get bigger and Speaker 1: stronger.

Hopefully. Hopefully. Speaker 1: We'll deal with it in an ester hole when we arrive safely without having any Speaker 10: Or having to use any potions. Speaker 10: I love that that's such a logger thing to do is like, Speaker 10: oh, but you could have like better like mid-shelf potions. Speaker 10: No. Speaker 10: Budget. Speaker 2: No, no, I don't want the undercoding. Speaker 2: Yeah. Speaker 10: Just give me. Speaker 3: I come from a Scottish family. Speaker 3: I can see the penny pinching a mile away. Speaker 3: Sure. Speaker 3: Sure. Speaker 8: Let's just hope one of these kids are a closet cleric or a closet.

Speaker 8: a paladin and then they just get lay on hands or healing word. Speaker 10: We should definitely bank. Speaker 10: They have. Speaker 10: They have classes. Speaker 10: They got things. Speaker 8: Tell them to start playing. Speaker 3: When do we get to respect our followers? Speaker 8: Yeah. Speaker 2: So, Speaker 2: $1,200. Speaker 2: You got that. Speaker 2: So I think we're good. Speaker 2: I think we're pretty good. Speaker 2: Unless there's anything else that you're Speaker 3: So, again, the only other thing we're doing in the marketplace was we tell people about the caravan that's going to Fort Frostburn.

Speaker 7: Because we got that guy. Speaker 3: And then we are trying to talk our way, like chat our way around to find out if there's anything traveling south. Speaker 3: Ideally today. Speaker 2: Well, no, sadly. Speaker 2: But there was a small caravan that was heading to Esther Holt. Speaker 2: And there are about two days in front of you. Speaker 2: So if you can catch up to them, Speaker 2: the thing is, they were going to stop at the halfway mark and make camp for three days Speaker 7: because they're waiting for someone. Speaker 2: So theoretically, you can catch up with them and hit your ride for the rest of it.

Speaker 2: For him protection, you know. Speaker 8: So I was thinking, too, that we may want to check out our new friend. Speaker 8: What was his name? Eddie? Speaker 8: Was that his name? Speaker 1: You made a lot of friends here. Speaker 8: The guy who shot me in the back. Speaker 1: Oh. Speaker 1: Oh. Speaker 1: Yeah. Speaker 1: Our gun toting friend. Speaker 8: Yeah, because he was just south. Speaker 8: He had a settlement just south of Aubrey. Speaker 1: Mm-hmm. Speaker 8: So maybe we could, like, head there, see what he has going on. Speaker 8: I don't know.

Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, is it, because we do have that map, right? Speaker 3: And you had mentioned marking the map with, like, the things on our shot on our component list Speaker 3: and where roughly they might be found along the way as well. Speaker 3: So we can probably basically lay that out on a tape. Speaker 3: after our shopping trip and be like, okay, so if we go to Eddie's camp and then not far from there, Speaker 3: there's this other thing or we just follow the road to the where the caravan is. Speaker 2: Yeah, I did some basic shapes.

I think it's time to do some actual marking. Speaker 2: We need icons. So. Speaker 2: So before you guys leave, you should probably know that your current route and Speaker 2: we're just counting Esther holt. Speaker 2: From there, you guys make your decision. Speaker 2: Whatever. You're looking at possibly two and a half weeks of travel on foot. Speaker 2: Now, if you catch up with that caravan, that'll cut, that'll cut that. Speaker 2: The caravan isn't going to be moving blindingly fast, but it's like you guys have to Speaker 2: take more breaks on foot than you would, you know, on a carrier.

Speaker 8: And it's extra security to. Speaker 8: Larger group means less chance of attack because just more people. Speaker 2: Yep. Speaker 2: So the caravan, let's get icons. Speaker 3: I have a question about the map. Speaker 3: I know if this is a map that's available to listeners. Speaker 3: So hopefully this is relevant. Speaker 3: But the map currently, the road south from Aubrey, leads into the Speaker 3: stinging woods and then back out again. Speaker 3: Please tell me that in the last 115 years, somebody has made a direct road that does not Speaker 3: require us to do that.

Speaker 2: Like, so. Speaker 2: So, okay. Speaker 2: Roads are more suggestions now. Speaker 2: It depends on time of year. Speaker 2: So that, it doesn't, it doesn't really lead into and out of. Speaker 2: There are two pads converging into the Stigian woods. Speaker 2: So no is the quick answer. Speaker 2: You will not have to go there if you don't want to. Speaker 2: You can travel as the crow flies, but I'll tell you where the, Speaker 2: you know, I'll tell you where the caravan is going to be. Speaker 2: Please. Yeah. Yeah. Of course. Speaker 2: You guys talk amongst yourselves.

All good things. Speaker 8: Okay. So it looks like Eddie's camp is like right along the way. Speaker 3: Yeah. I don't think that's too far out of the way at all. I think we can do that pretty easy. Speaker 8: And I think we were talking about like setting up so we have some sort of communication with them in Fort Frostborn. Speaker 8: Like some sort of Speaker 3: We tried to send him two for Speaker 8: Yeah just Eddie go just Eddie should Speaker 1: Eddie take your family basically he may already be gone Speaker 1: He might have shown up Speaker 1: Said hey we got to take off so we may find Eddie's camp Speaker 1: But that's it Speaker 3: Which would be probably not terrible yeah Speaker 8: And there was a bunch of weapon caches he told us about Speaker 8: I don't know if we wanted to check those out at all Speaker 3: I'm not sure those are on the way Speaker 1: Yeah I think there was one on the way to Aubrey but not Speaker 1: I mean, but I don't think you would.

Speaker 3: That reminds me too, I did want to mention that at least Logrin or somebody in the group, probably Logrin, unless somebody else would prefer to do it, would send a letter back with the first trade caravan to Fort Frostborn. Speaker 8: Oh, yeah. Speaker 8: Nihira definitely would because her grandchild, Naomi, is staying there. Speaker 8: So. Speaker 8: No. Speaker 3: Well, that's handy. Speaker 8: Yeah. Speaker 3: Logrin is also going to send a letter to his contact. Speaker 3: in Stone Thunder. Speaker 3: Good to know. Speaker 3: All right.

Okay. Speaker 1: So gearing up for getting outside. Speaker 1: I don't know if we've talked about it before. Speaker 1: So Ruby has, she has all this gear that she ends up clipping on and clink, you know, clink, clink and whatever. Speaker 1: So all her Velocispring boots, she's got fur at the top of it. Speaker 1: She's got her big leather, a co-weatherer. Speaker 1: fur all in. Speaker 1: It's just nuts, right? Speaker 1: With pockets and pouches and all sorts of buckles and whatever's. Speaker 1: She also has this head covering that she actually attaches her bowler hat to.

Speaker 1: And it basically just covers everything but her face. Speaker 1: And it's just like a, I don't know, if from top to bottom, she's pretty much covered. Speaker 1: She runs pretty hot, though, because of all of her whatever's, all of her gears and Speaker 1: tubes and gloves and all of that. Speaker 1: She's pretty well decked out. Speaker 3: You know what I imagine Logren has is you know the Inuit Speaker 3: sunglasses that they made that are horizontal slit in there Speaker 3: because it's so bright in the snow. I think you'd have something like that.

Speaker 8: Yeah. Speaker 8: Natsira would, that infinity mask or an infinity scarf that she used to pull up over the bottom half of her face. Speaker 8: She usually wears that out one more out and it covers her nose. Speaker 8: as well. So she could like breathe without snow coming into her mouth. And she's a giant hood that's Speaker 8: attached to a cloak that's all fur lined. And so she's, her face is almost always in shadow. Speaker 1: Camara basically just total open chest. Yeah. Just like he like buttons a button. Speaker 10: And it has like a big cape that he just like pulls over around him.

Speaker 2: He runs hot. Speaker 2: Yeah. Speaker 2: Yeah. Speaker 8: Yeah. But the snow melts as he goes through it. Speaker 1: I do bet the Colgoth's presence is probably a pretty warm. Speaker 1: Has just like a warmth to it. Speaker 8: Just an infernal warmth. Speaker 1: Yeah. Speaker 8: So on top of like the T-Fling warms that's inherent because they have their infernal fire, Speaker 8: then there's the infernal fire you get from. Speaker 8: The devil on your shoulder. Speaker 2: What I'm hearing is he's incredibly useful and we should be giving thanks.

Speaker 1: We'll cuddle up to chimera whenever we get cold. Speaker 10: Come here and cold death. Speaker 10: Come on in, everyone. Speaker 7: Get warm. Speaker 7: Get warm. Speaker 7: Get warm. Speaker 10: What was in Esther Holt again? Speaker 10: Are we? Speaker 10: I can't remember. Speaker 10: we're just going there because that's like the next sort of stop before we start heading over Speaker 10: towards other places. Speaker 10: Yeah. Speaker 3: Like it's a big city with money in it. Speaker 3: So maybe there's an opportunity there type thing.

Speaker 3: Unless the information we're about to get about the items on our list points to Esther Holt specifically. Speaker 3: That's kind of just Logrin's thinking is there's money there. Speaker 3: There's people there. Speaker 3: That means there's opportunity there. Speaker 3: But it's also just the next stop on our way. Speaker 3: We're making our way west. Speaker 8: And this is the safest route. Speaker 1: Yeah. Speaker 1: I mean, anywhere we go is a potential check on any of the items on our components list for our artifact. Speaker 10: But ultimately, we're trying to get to walk for it, right?

Speaker 10: Because we're trying to talk to that sister. Speaker 10: So, yeah, the sister is there. Speaker 3: I think Orra said that they had family there too. Speaker 3: who were like nobility. Speaker 7: I remember that being a thing. Speaker 3: And also, we need wearwolf teeth. Speaker 3: Right. Speaker 2: So what I'm going to do is I'm going to come up with icons for everything. Speaker 2: And then when we can finally post about the campaign and stuff on like World Anvil or whatever, Speaker 2: we can have the map with all this stuff. Speaker 2: Perfect.

Speaker 2: All right now. Speaker 2: That caravan. Speaker 2: is a little less than halfway. Speaker 2: That's where they're camping out. Speaker 2: So you can, you could ride two thirds of the way if you catch up with it. Speaker 2: Amazing. Speaker 7: Yeah, that's pretty sweet. Speaker 2: Yeah. Speaker 2: All right. Speaker 2: Are we ready to gather the children in leave? Speaker 2: Yeah. Speaker 2: Yeah. Speaker 2: I will say, at some point, within that 24-hour period, Speaker 2: Felix would come to you and say, look, there's a few things I have to wrap up here.

Speaker 2: I have a few more people depending on me. Speaker 2: But if you want, I could either go to the fort or try to catch up with you. Speaker 2: If you need help, it did me a big favor, so I would be more than happy. Speaker 3: I don't want you trying to catch up to us by yourself on foot. Speaker 3: That sounds crazy. Speaker 3: But if one out of the fort, I'd go. Speaker 3: got some real good Bitcoin. Speaker 3: There's a cart going to the fort. Speaker 3: It's going to be setting up a trade route. Speaker 3: If you want to be a part of that, that's probably a little bit safer than traveling south on your own.

Speaker 3: I think... Speaker 1: Sorry, no, there. Speaker 1: Go ahead. Speaker 8: I was going to say, and if you want to... Speaker 8: The fort's very ground floor right now. Speaker 8: So if you could pitch in and help as a payment for us getting you out of jail. Speaker 10: That's a good way of putting it. Speaker 10: We should continue to use that ground floor. Speaker 10: I like it. Speaker 3: There's no floor yet. Speaker 10: It's just not. Speaker 7: The dirt and snow. Speaker 7: Just ground. Speaker 10: Yeah. Speaker 8: And there's barely four walls.

Speaker 10: It implies that there'll be more floors to come. Speaker 10: And that's what we're looking for. Speaker 2: We built stairs before a floor. Speaker 1: It's just. Speaker 1: It's true. Speaker 1: Ruby would pull a longer and just briefly to the side. Speaker 1: I mean, we could, we do have some cash now. Speaker 1: We, maybe, I trust him honestly. Speaker 1: I feel like we could give him something to take there and maybe help build it up a little bit. Speaker 3: He'll kind of like chew on his cheek a little bit and like look back at Felix.

Speaker 3: All right, we can get him like 20 gold. Speaker 3: That's not what I meant. Speaker 1: You know it. Speaker 3: I'm confused. Speaker 3: What did you mean? Speaker 1: I mean, we just got an like truly whispering. Speaker 1: We just got 10,000 gold. Speaker 3: Yeah, so he can have like 20 and then. Speaker 1: What do you want to give them? Speaker 1: I don't know. Speaker 1: I don't want to give him all that because, I mean, at the same time, Speaker 3: We're carrying around 10,000 cold. Speaker 1: That's not good for us. Speaker 1: Like, we don't want to.

Speaker 1: I mean, we got to stash it somewhere. Speaker 1: Why not stash it back where we're, you know, trying to build something up a little bit. Speaker 1: I'm just saying, a little bit of a nest egg for ourselves and the fort. Speaker 1: And I'm saying, I trust this Felix. Speaker 1: I do. Speaker 1: I hate every all the other ones except Betty, but Felix is okay. Speaker 1: I like that you don't whisper that. Speaker 2: That is full. Speaker 7: I'm like that. Speaker 3: That's listen. Speaker 3: You can hear through at all time. Speaker 3: I don't know.

Speaker 3: Do you want to get what? Speaker 3: Like 400? Speaker 3: 5.500. Speaker 3: It's like a song. Speaker 3: A handoff. Speaker 1: You're asking a handoff. Speaker 1: I mean, it's a lot, but a thousand out of ten? Speaker 1: What? Speaker 1: I mean, what are we going to do with it? Speaker 1: It's not like, it's going to come back. Speaker 1: It's going to come back to us. Speaker 3: It's the fort. Speaker 3: So Loggeron will take the full amount of time. Speaker 3: It takes to find the piece of paper that we got from the wizard with all the stuff on it and like unfold.

Speaker 3: And he won't say anything during the entire time he's doing that. Speaker 3: And he'll hold it open and he'll say, we could just buy some of this. Speaker 3: if we have money. Speaker 1: Five hundred? Speaker 3: 4.50. Speaker 1: 450 and this and she holds out a bag of candy. Speaker 3: Lauggan looks really tired. He goes, yeah, all right. Speaker 3: To be clear, you bought this too, so. Speaker 3: Things that Ruby knows. Speaker 3: not to say it. Speaker 3: Fought this with your money. Speaker 3: All right, fine. Speaker 3: We'll send them with some of the money.

Speaker 3: Send him with $800. Speaker 3: It's fine. Speaker 3: We can send him with $800. Speaker 3: But it goes toward the fort. Speaker 3: It's not his. Speaker 1: All right. Speaker 1: Ruby would sort of just handle that. Speaker 1: Yeah. Speaker 1: So Felix aside, make sure he's got what he needs. Speaker 1: This is for, you know, if you need supplies, if you need something, you know, fine, but the rest of it is meant to be, but blah, blah, blah, blah, right? Speaker 1: Off to the side, though, making sure it's not a, it's very much like I'm entrusting you with this.

Speaker 1: This is for you. We have all agreed that you should X, Y, Z. And also the candy, she's like, this is for. Speaker 1: This is for her. Yeah, you'll know. Exactly. Yeah. Yeah. Speaker 2: So on the Discord server, we essentially have this rebooted now, the games and stuff to earn money and all that. Speaker 2: And this helps facilitate that. Speaker 2: There will be construction going on while you guys are away. Speaker 2: The listeners are working on it, basically. Speaker 2: So every day you're out here doing stuff, before it's going to grow and change.

Speaker 2: And there's going to be all kinds of cool shit going on. Speaker 2: So that's, you know, that'll be neat to see that progress as, you know, eventually you guys are going to have to come back. Speaker 8: Yeah. Speaker 2: Mm-hmm. Speaker 2: One would think. Speaker 8: Nighttheir is also going to send a message with Felix just to be like, could you check on Naomi? Speaker 8: She's a little new to this whole adventuring thing. Speaker 8: And I just want to make sure she's doing all right. Speaker 2: Just, yeah, like jotting down things because there's a lot of names to remember now.

Speaker 2: It's like, okay, I'm looking for a guy named Rafin. Speaker 2: There's Naomi Grimble. Speaker 2: Okay. Speaker 3: He'll find you. Speaker 2: Yeah. Speaker 2: Yeah. Speaker 2: He'll smell for self-defense. Speaker 3: Yeah. Speaker 10: And do you want your tattoo back or? Speaker 10: If you don't mind, yeah. Speaker 2: It would be nice. Speaker 10: Yeah. Speaker 10: Yeah. Speaker 10: I mean, it looks great on me, but I suppose. Speaker 10: I hold my hand out. Speaker 2: I can hook you up with the artist. Speaker 2: Like, it's really...

Speaker 10: Yes. Speaker 10: Is it anyone in Estherhold by any chance? Speaker 10: Probably. Speaker 10: Yeah, I don't know anyone in Estherhold. Speaker 10: But you hook me up. Speaker 10: You take back what's yours and you hook me up. Speaker 10: I'll get something even cooler. Speaker 10: This was very cool, by the way, though. Speaker 2: Did you guys give Chimira that bracelet? Speaker 8: I just forgot about it. Speaker 8: I just thought of that. Speaker 8: As he's giving back the tattoo, he's like, Speaker 8: Nythero will be like, oh, I have something to replace your tattoo and then she'll hold out the bracelet.

Speaker 8: This is a gift from that priest. Speaker 10: Oh, I thought it was from you, Nythera. Speaker 10: You shouldn't have had. Speaker 10: You shouldn't have. Speaker 10: But that's still nice. Speaker 10: I'll take credit. Speaker 10: Yeah, you might as well. Speaker 10: We're never going to see him again. Speaker 10: This is lovely. Speaker 10: could use a little bit dazzling, but you know, it's okay. Speaker 8: I thought this same. Speaker 2: This looks tasteful and that's not what I'm into. Speaker 10: Yeah, I grab it firmly. Does it burn my hands?

Speaker 2: No, no, no, no. It's just, it's just really nice. Like it is like, this, this would be a pricey piece if you if you bought it. Speaker 2: You can definitely feel traces of arcane energy. Speaker 2: There's something about that. Speaker 2: So there might be, it might not be simply a good luck charm. Speaker 2: There might be something to the whole protecting you on the road thing. Speaker 10: Oh, okay. Speaker 10: Oh, this is nice. Speaker 10: Yeah, put it on. Speaker 10: Like, you know that. Speaker 8: I think you have another admirer, honestly.

Speaker 10: Really? Speaker 10: He didn't seem that into me. Speaker 10: You just told him you were troubled. Speaker 10: Oh, there it is. Speaker 10: Yep, that'll do it. Speaker 10: Yeah. Speaker 10: With those priest types, they really like the vulnerable ones. Speaker 10: He can fix you. Speaker 8: He kept giving us stuff to give to you. Speaker 8: That holy relic and now this. Speaker 8: I think he just wants you to think of him all the time. Speaker 1: We'll never see him again. Speaker 10: Sure. Speaker 10: He just wants to fix me. Speaker 10: And there's nothing to fix.

Speaker 8: All of us give us die-dye. Speaker 10: Yeah. Speaker 8: We just don't. Speaker 8: Nobody says a thing. Speaker 1: We just move on. Speaker 1: Right? Speaker 1: The most meaningful policy. Speaker 3: Right. Speaker 3: Right. Speaker 3: I'm just passing my back. Speaker 3: You're doing fine. Speaker 3: You're doing fine. Speaker 8: I go to check it on the kids. Speaker 8: Make sure that they're all tied up. Speaker 1: Tied up. Speaker 8: Like, make sure, their folks are all tied up. Speaker 1: You know. Speaker 1: Yeah, to the slide. Speaker 1: Everybody laid down.

Speaker 7: My class. Speaker 3: Like a corner of wood. Speaker 3: Just. Speaker 2: These kids have been waiting. Speaker 2: at the gate for a bit. Speaker 2: And it's, you guys are just making sure it's like, okay, yeah, yeah, yeah. Speaker 2: Did we turn the stove off? Speaker 2: Did we? Speaker 2: Okay, yes, we're ready to go. Speaker 2: And when you approach, Speaker 2: Chet's going to be a little upset. Speaker 2: And he's going to walk over to Vettie and they're going to exchange words. Speaker 2: And then he'll just kind of stand in the back with his arms crossed.

Speaker 2: And Vettie's going to be be beaming from here to hear. Speaker 2: And when you, when you like formally get there, Speaker 2: that he's going to kind of sidle up to night, Speaker 2: Thera, Chet bet me a gold that you were never going to show up. Speaker 2: So thank you. Speaker 8: Easy gold. Speaker 8: Good job. Speaker 12: So are we taken off? Speaker 12: Do we get horses? Speaker 12: How does this work? Speaker 8: We walk a lot. Speaker 2: Okay. Speaker 2: I'm ready. Speaker 2: Let's do it. Speaker 2: Come on. Speaker 2: Some of the price tags are still in the shit they have.

Speaker 2: They're still like, like, yeah. Speaker 3: In the background, loggerne's arguing with one of the customs officers at the gate. Speaker 3: I came in with all that. Speaker 8: So you guys stay in the middle. Speaker 8: Loggerne takes up front. Speaker 8: I'll stay in the back. Speaker 8: You guys stay in between us, okay? Speaker 3: Do any of you know how to busk? Speaker 10: We can't figure that one out. Speaker 10: We've been trying to do that on the road every time. Speaker 8: We really want to do that. Speaker 8: Any of you have a hand drum.

Speaker 2: On D. Speaker 2: Orra. Speaker 2: So, ORA would be like that. Speaker 2: I know that's a joke that's like, it's like, Speaker 2: Uh, no, but I could do three-card Monty and flee some roops. Speaker 10: Oh, I like her. Speaker 10: This is good. This is good. Speaker 10: Let me tell you, let me teach you how to tell the taro. Speaker 10: I think you'd love that. Speaker 2: Instantly, it's like, did we just become best friends? Speaker 2: Like, she... Speaker 2: So in her pack, she has dice both loaded and not loaded. Speaker 2: She has several packs of cards.

Speaker 2: She has like she's. Speaker 2: She is a grifter. Speaker 2: Not because like it's just, yeah, no, she's, Speaker 2: she has a class and it's gambler. Speaker 2: Nice. Speaker 7: That's her fighting style. Speaker 2: So that'll be interesting if that ever comes up. Speaker 2: But hopefully it doesn't. Speaker 10: Just throws coins. Speaker 2: Yeah. Speaker 2: There was some like a meow. Speaker 2: Yeah. Speaker 10: There was some like final fantasy. Speaker 10: the attack where you could like throw gill at people. Speaker 2: And I was like, yeah.

Speaker 2: I was like, why? Speaker 10: It was a future ability. Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah. Speaker 2: So as you guys are, you're prepetit in your last bit of like, okay, just tying everything, Speaker 2: making sure and they're about to feel the the bracing cold, some of them for the very first time, Speaker 2: some of them in quite a long time. So the second you walk outside those gates, Speaker 2: that wind is just going to hit you. Speaker 2: Like, it is, you're used to it, but you've spent a couple of days now where it's like, oh, man, I didn't, Speaker 2: didn't miss that.

Speaker 8: Nythera is going to have an arm ready to brace vetti. Speaker 2: Just going to eat shit, like almost eat shit. Speaker 2: Just the first, it's like, oh, God, like I, all of them. Speaker 2: Chet's going to handle it the best. Speaker 2: I mean, Baz is going to handle it the best because it's just almost literally Speaker 2: stone face, no expression, whatever. Speaker 2: He very rarely blinks. Speaker 2: And Speaker 2: yeah, they're all going to kind of put out a brave face, but like, Speaker 2: Vetties is like almost going to start tearing up.

Speaker 2: Like, not, not ready for this at all. Speaker 2: So it's putting the hood up and like getting, you know, just like, Speaker 2: oh my God, it's been three minutes. Speaker 7: I like, I got a, like, okay. Speaker 2: Okay, hold on. Speaker 2: But eventually, she'll go numb and it'll be fine. Speaker 7: She's a good time, so. Speaker 2: Yeah, like, you know, it'll balance out eventually. Speaker 2: Well, I need, we haven't had to do this in a while, but I need a brave soul to roll a travel die for me. Speaker 1: All right, Susan, let's do this.

Speaker 8: Okay. Speaker 8: Okay. Speaker 8: D100, right? Speaker 2: A D100. Speaker 8: Okay. Speaker 8: How about an 81? Speaker 2: How about an 81? Speaker 2: I don't know. Let's see. Speaker 2: It was so much easier when I knew a high roll or a low roll would be something, you know. Speaker 8: Right. Speaker 3: While you're looking at that, once we're like, far enough, Speaker 3: away from Aubrey. Speaker 3: Logrin pulls off his wig. Speaker 7: Hands it back to. Speaker 3: And then like kneels down in the snow and like Speaker 3: wipe all the makeup off.

Speaker 2: Kind of a shit. Speaker 2: You're going to be a different person to these kids. Speaker 2: It's like. Speaker 2: And they're going to kind of look at each other. Speaker 2: It's like, is that normal? Speaker 2: Why? Speaker 2: Like, or is the only one. Speaker 2: It's like, yeah, that was a terrible wig. Speaker 2: Like, I. Speaker 2: Like, she clocked that immediately. Speaker 2: Oh, my God. Speaker 2: You basically put a mop on your head. Speaker 2: It was embarrassing. Speaker 2: I'm glad that, you know. Speaker 10: That was my best wig.

Speaker 3: We were there for three days and Lagerin never did anything. Speaker 3: So his makeup was all smeared by the end of this. Speaker 7: His wig was on sideways. Speaker 3: He never touched it up at all. Speaker 3: Shear miracle. Speaker 3: Nobody said anything. Speaker 3: They were just being polite. Speaker 3: That's a worst drag queen has ever seen. Speaker 7: Zero effort. Speaker 3: He needs help. Speaker 8: He doesn't know how to carve those cheekbones at all. Speaker 2: So it is a long day for you guys. Speaker 2: Let's, you know what?

Speaker 2: Let's get a frostborn token on the map. Speaker 2: Yeah. Speaker 8: That's us. Speaker 2: That is you. Speaker 3: It's me. Speaker 2: It's me in my shirt. Speaker 2: I can change it to the Frostborn logo, just to, you know, represent all of you. Speaker 2: It's all right. Speaker 2: No, no, I like it the way it is. Speaker 8: It's fine. It's good. Speaker 8: It's fine. Speaker 8: Whatever. The rest of us don't matter. It's cool. Speaker 3: Yeah, it's speaking to which I want to change the title of the season. Speaker 3: to Lager. Speaker 7: I was a good.

Speaker 7: I was a lot. Speaker 7: Just love. Speaker 8: Group logren. Speaker 3: Group logren. Speaker 2: So, first day, you're going to get a respectable distance outside of all-breed. Speaker 2: But I imagine there were probably quite a few stops. Speaker 2: Like, oh, my pack keeps slipping off. Speaker 2: Oh, does it? Speaker 2: You know, like, there's a lot of adjustments. Speaker 2: Every time you guys stop, Vetti specifically will try to find some way to warm her face. Speaker 2: Like, it is constantly just freezing. Speaker 2: And she would probably ask.

Speaker 2: I think, what are you doing about your face? Speaker 8: Like, I can't feel it. Speaker 8: Take your face. Speaker 8: scarf. Wrap it around the bottom half of your face. The warmth from your own breath will keep the Speaker 8: bottom half warm. Pull your hood down so it's just above your eyes so you can see. Speaker 2: So there's going to be countless moments like that. Like, I tie my boots wrong. They keep coming Speaker 8: undone. Like it's stuff like that. Like just not tucking pants into the sock. So Speaker 8: snow keeps getting into her boots.

And finally, you're setting up camp for the Speaker 2: You're well and truly outside of the city. Like you're, you're, you know, a few miles outside of the city. Speaker 2: You're heading south, trying to catch up with that caravan. And you're probably doing math thing. Speaker 2: It's like, okay, we'll probably start moving a little faster now that like the first date, Speaker 2: they know what to expect. But the hard part is now that you're setting up camp, you're Speaker 2: getting a fire going and they're trying to warm up. It is like, Speaker 2: Some of them are, you know, setting up bed rolls for the first time.

Speaker 2: They're, you know, they're just not used to this. Speaker 2: At all times, they're trying to do something. Speaker 2: They're trying. It's like, well, can we get firewood? Can we do this? Can we do this? Speaker 2: And they're just trying to be of use. And Speaker 2: and check every once in a while. Speaker 2: We'll kind of take it upon himself to do something and not ask. Speaker 2: Nothing outlandish, nothing crazy. Speaker 2: But just, like, he'll start staking things down if you guys are getting ready for, you know, like, he'll, like, it looks like he has some experience with that portion of things.

Speaker 2: So he's, you know, he is being helpful. He's just quiet. That's all. Speaker 3: All right. Can I ask for a survival check from Chet? Because if I don't have to correct him, I won't. Speaker 3: But if he sucks, we're going to have to correct him, right? Speaker 7: That's fair. Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah. Let's do it. Speaker 2: So they do all have individual skills and they have, they have talents. Speaker 2: So he's actually trained in survival. Speaker 2: That's nice. Speaker 2: It's, well, we'll see. Speaker 2: So he rolled a nine total.

He is doing it. Speaker 2: And in theory, he's, he's correct. Speaker 2: His not skills need work. He's not hammering in stakes, uh, deep enough into the ground. Speaker 2: Like you're, you're seeing several things. It's like structurally, this is terrible. Speaker 3: We got to like, you know. Yeah. So yeah, Lagerna will come up and just like put a hand out. Speaker 3: Let me show you. Let me show you a couple things. And he will because you know this, this kid's got Speaker 3: an ego. He's not trying to rile him up because we got to be on the road with this kid.

Speaker 3: So he will like point out everything he's doing correctly. And then all, Speaker 3: offer advice on the things that need work. Speaker 3: Like, he's not going to be like, this sucks and let me tell you why. Speaker 3: It is that, but in a compliment sandwich kind of way. Speaker 8: It's like you did the right. Speaker 3: Good job here. Speaker 8: But you could do this better. Speaker 3: Yeah, this part's right. Speaker 3: You're facing away from the wind. Speaker 3: That's great. Speaker 3: But, you know, the steak's got to be at least another inch in the ground.

Speaker 3: That kind of thing, whatever. Speaker 3: You know. Speaker 3: So he'll do that. Speaker 3: If he's receptive to it, great. Speaker 3: If he's not receptive to it, tough, honestly. Speaker 3: But... Speaker 2: Honestly, here's the thing. Speaker 2: There's a combination of things. Speaker 2: One, you pulled him aside and didn't insult him. Speaker 2: And it almost kind of feels like he's used to being insulted. Speaker 2: Like he's like, when you come over, he's bracing. Speaker 2: It's like, all right, tell me. Speaker 7: Come on, here you go.

Speaker 7: Yeah. Speaker 7: Yeah. Speaker 2: But the fact that you're like, oh, this or the, but the wind is going to be, like, Speaker 2: like you're telling him not just like you did it wrong, but here's why this is going to be wrong for this particular thing and how you're going to be. Speaker 2: you could do it better. Also, they're exhausted. These fucking kids, they are beat. So any fight Speaker 2: that's in him would be small. Honestly, he would just like there'd be a beat. Thanks. Speaker 2: Like, just very short and sweet, but like, he'd thank you for it.

Like, yeah. Speaker 3: Yeah, I imagine we'd probably break for camp a little bit early, both because they are Speaker 3: exhausted and because it's going to take them time to like learn how to do this. Because Speaker 3: like, we're going to probably have someone show that. Speaker 3: them how to do a fire. So have somebody show them how to forge. Right. So we're taking the extra Speaker 2: time for it. Like how to find a good camping spot when you're out in the middle. You know, I mean, Speaker 2: like it's like, oh, it'd be nice to find a cave.

That's not going to happen most of the time. Speaker 2: And if you do, sometimes it's haunted. So you know, let's see. You work with what you got. Speaker 2: Like you're probably telling them. Speaker 3: Three hundred year old elf ghost that just has a good. And you got to do. You got a deal. Speaker 3: with that before you can even make camp and see you train in the house. Speaker 8: This just happens sometimes. Speaker 3: Yeah, just part of being on the road. Speaker 2: The second, by the way, that any and all of them, regardless of who it is, Speaker 2: find out you have stories like that, that will be, there will be so many questions.

Speaker 2: It's like, follow up on this ghost thing. Like, even if you guys have well and truly moved on, Speaker 2: it's like, uh-huh, but the ghost, let's come back like that. Speaker 13: I feel like Ruby would be down. Speaker 13: Ruby and chimera would be down. Speaker 10: Story time. Speaker 2: Oh, yeah. We're telling stories. We're weaving tales. Speaker 2: Because I think what they're probably expecting is like, oh, there were some bandits. Speaker 2: It's like, no, no, no. Like, you're going to, our newest friend shot at us. Speaker 2: That's how we met.

So, like, good guy. Speaker 2: I told him where our house was. Speaker 3: We showed him how to use his gun better and then pointed him to our home. Speaker 8: He's just a decent guy trying to take care of his family. Speaker 8: No big. Speaker 3: Robbing Graves. Speaker 10: It's just, you know, it's what it's what it is. Speaker 2: And again, they're going to come at it from a, not a totally black and white perspective. Speaker 2: It's like robbing graves. Oh, God. Like, they're, it's just like, I can't see myself ever doing that. Speaker 2: Because they have, they can't, they can't fathom being that.

Speaker 1: Desperate. You know what I mean? You're four days away from being that person. Just trust me. Speaker 10: You're closer to being that person now. Then you have been in Nourbray. Speaker 10: Yeah. In fact, I've got all the cemeteries marked out on the mountain. Speaker 3: On the way. Take one. Speaker 3: Pick one. Speaker 8: And I feel like I just want to point this out. I feel like all of us that there probably would be like some expectation of us being short with them or like not being okay with them sewing a sound. Speaker 8: But I feel like we all have like a lot of patience for them.

At least I know Nythero does. Speaker 2: Yeah, not remember being outwardly hostile or anything like that. Because even, Speaker 2: Even Chet's like, all right, you did not have to do this. Speaker 2: This is, you know, but I don't want to be luggage. Speaker 2: I want to do something, you know what I mean? Speaker 2: So there'd probably be a few times during the day where he'd probably reach for the Speaker 2: the hilt of his sword and just like, listen, like he's tried to, it's like, what's that? Speaker 2: Like that type of thing? Speaker 3: It's like, shut up.

Speaker 3: That's a bird. We're fine. Speaker 3: Unless you, yeah. Speaker 3: But no, I mean, yeah. Speaker 3: So like Susan said, I think that, like, Logrin's not super chatty with these guys, but he is very much like he's a leader. Speaker 3: He's not going to insult people. He doesn't have to. Right. He wants them on our side. He wants to keep these kids safe. Speaker 3: So like if they want to be useful, knock yourself out. You're useful now. I'll teach you how to do it. Right. Speaker 8: And then every time Vetti was like, oh, I don't know. My shoes keep getting snow in them or my face hurts or, oh, my fingers are going numb.

Speaker 8: Night Thier would be right there being like, okay, we need to get you. Speaker 8: the wool gloves underneath your mittens. That's how you keep your fingers warm. Speaker 8: Okay, let's tuck your pants into your socks so you don't get snow in them. Like, every time, right there. Speaker 3: Never, never going. Oh my God, shut up, kid. Every three hours, we stop and do a health Speaker 3: potion check. Do you know where your health potion is? Yeah. Speaker 10: Into your mitten. Speaker 3: Everybody show me your health potion. Show me you know where it is.

Speaker 10: Hand up. Hand up. Speaker 2: While you guys are sitting here, you sharing stories and they're probably just happy to stop walking for the day. Speaker 2: Because three miles is not that long. Speaker 2: Like, it's really not. Speaker 2: But in the blistering cold, it's an eternity. Speaker 2: Like, you guys are hiking. Speaker 2: Like, there will be two hours where you're hiking waist deep in snow, just trying to get to the next bit of clearing. Speaker 2: So it's, it is exhausting. Speaker 2: There is this pungent odor. Speaker 2: This, this, this foul.

Speaker 2: It smells like decay and sewer and, and like it is a, it is a, it is a, it is a gross smell. Speaker 2: It's going to kind of waft into camp. Speaker 1: Sorry, that's the bonzo. Speaker 1: I'm sorry. Speaker 1: I'm. Speaker 3: Treat a lot of bonzo. Speaker 1: Brought a little bit with us. Speaker 10: Didn't you? Speaker 10: What is that? Speaker 10: Hey, what's everyone's passive perception? Oh, really good and amazing. Speaker 2: Oh, good. Speaker 2: You'd be on the left side of your character sheet. 14. Speaker 2: Oh. Speaker 2: 10.

Speaker 12: Oh, 13. Speaker 12: 13. Speaker 2: Oh, damn. Okay. Speaker 2: Okay. Speaker 2: 14. Speaker 2: Kimer and... Speaker 7: No one else? Speaker 7: Ruby had 14. Oh, shit. Okay. Speaker 2: So... Speaker 2: Chimera and Ruby are going to hear something that sounds like a... Speaker 2: like a rusty hinge. Speaker 2: And then... Speaker 2: Like a crunch. Like a... Speaker 2: Like someone's... Speaker 2: Like someone grabbed a fistful of tortilla chips and just jammed them in their Speaker 2: mouth and just like, you know what I mean? Speaker 2: And you're both gonna, you're both gonna know that it's like, okay, hold on.

Speaker 2: That's like, that sounds coming from that tree line right over there. And it's about 30 feet Speaker 2: away from camp. But the campfire only illuminates a certain amount. So the most you'll see is like Speaker 2: kind of like shadows. But. Speaker 2: something is lurking out there. Speaker 2: Like, it sounds like that's not a deer or anything like that. Speaker 2: It sounds like something is maybe eating or something. Speaker 2: Something. Speaker 10: Hand on your sword. Speaker 10: Yeah. Speaker 1: Yeah, Ruby would try to meet eyes immediately with chimera.

Speaker 1: and just like we stop. Speaker 1: Everybody else is still chit chatting or whatever. Speaker 1: Just stop for a second, just listening. Speaker 1: And then Ruby's going to try to find Nithera eyes, lock eyes. Speaker 1: And she's just going to, she's going to sort of gesture just very quickly in that direction. Speaker 1: It's probably, again, this is probably something that's happened a thousand times with this group. Speaker 1: Yeah. Speaker 1: And it'll be like the, like, spread out that direction. Speaker 1: There's something happening.

Speaker 1: Whatever kind of code needs to happen. Speaker 1: But without getting the kids panicked. Speaker 2: So are you telling them? Speaker 1: No. Speaker 1: Well, Ruby is suggesting to Nithera, something's over there. Speaker 1: Get up and let's check this out or spread out or fan out or something. Speaker 8: I think Nihira would say something. Speaker 8: Because she's suddenly stopping the conversation. Speaker 8: She'd be like, stay here. Speaker 8: Hands on weapons. Speaker 8: And then start heading that direction. Speaker 8: And I think I would even like stealth that way, Speaker 8: try to get whatever's over there on a where.

Speaker 1: Ruby would arc, would stay up and then arc around. Speaker 1: Not a straight line towards it, but sort of around. Speaker 1: from the side. Speaker 10: Camar is just going to stand up and like produce some flame in his hand. Speaker 10: Maybe he'll even throw it out like into the darkness, just like a little flare. Speaker 2: Just like, yeah, let's do it. Could you? Speaker 2: Ooh, okay. You mean an Arcona check. Speaker 2: Be it. Speaker 2: So that's a nine. Equally as good as Chet is at setting. Speaker 2: up camp. Speaker 2: The problem is the wind and everything is going to make this almost like flash paper.

Speaker 2: So it's going to arc outside of camp, but it's not really going to like, it's going to dissipate Speaker 2: before it hits the ground. But all of that noise is going to stop. Speaker 2: Eve, every single one of the kids have gone silent. They're all like reaching. Speaker 2: Like, Betty's probably going to have to like, packed away her daggers. So it's like, it's like, Speaker 2: I don't want to be the only loser who doesn't have my weapons ready. Speaker 2: Oh, God. Speaker 2: And there's going to be dead silence. Speaker 2: And everyone, it's just kind of like, oh, just like what?

Speaker 8: Niterra is heading towards it. Speaker 2: Give me a stealth check. Speaker 8: And I think Ruby is as well, right? Speaker 1: Ruby's headed a different direction. Speaker 1: You're going straight towards it. Speaker 1: She's going around. Speaker 1: from a different angle. Speaker 8: Oh, my God. Speaker 2: Whoa. Speaker 2: I have inspiration. Speaker 2: You might want to use that. Speaker 2: That was double ones. Speaker 8: Yes. Speaker 8: I do because I rolled the one before and I have that one. Speaker 8: Oof. Speaker 2: Oof-ditty goof.

Speaker 2: Better. Speaker 2: 14. 14's way better than one. Speaker 2: All right. Let's use that. Speaker 2: So as you're moving, Speaker 2: your eyes are going to, Speaker 2: kind of adjust, like you're going to be able to get away from that, that can't fire. Speaker 2: And you're probably like 15 feet away. Speaker 2: And a shape is going to kind of move out from behind the tree. Speaker 2: But it looks like it's perched on the tree, and it is going to leap at you. Speaker 2: Because of the stealth roll, you're going to be able to duck it.

Speaker 2: And there is just this, this wide jaw, these pointed teeth. Speaker 2: And it is going to miss Nythera and kind of flop and scramble up. Speaker 2: And you'll see a second one from the tree line. Speaker 2: Just giving up the ghost and just don't, don't, don't, don't, like it is. Speaker 2: These are two wear rats. These things are big and nasty and Speaker 3: And disgusting. Speaker 2: Ah. Speaker 3: Interesting. Speaker 3: Right there. Speaker 3: Yeah. Speaker 3: I'm not sorry. Speaker 3: I have to get at least one day. Speaker 3: It's fine.

Speaker 3: It's fine. Speaker 3: You know in second thought, encounters cancer. Speaker 3: Let's change. Speaker 3: You're all dead. Speaker 3: Um. Speaker 1: Where did it have to be wear rats? Speaker 8: I'm gonna apply poison to my... Speaker 2: These guys are filled with gross, like... Speaker 8: Yeah. Speaker 2: Allow me to get that encounter ready for you guys. Speaker 2: So because I stelt over, Speaker 8: So because I stelt over, Speaker 8: I don't want to take in action or anything. Speaker 8: But can I slip some poison on to one of my daggers?

Speaker 8: Because I'm carrying poisoned. Speaker 2: Give me a D20. Speaker 2: And if it's 11 or higher, yes. Speaker 8: Okay. Speaker 8: Yeah, I don't want it for free, but I did stelt over. Speaker 2: You did stelt over. Speaker 8: 19. Speaker 1: Yes. Speaker 1: Yes, you can. Speaker 8: Yay, thank you. Speaker 1: I imagine that any time Nythera is still over. Speaker 1: Like in stealth mode, poison is being put on something. Speaker 8: Yes. Speaker 1: She's not even aware she's doing it. Speaker 7: No, it's just a muscle memory. Speaker 14: No, I'm going to, oh.

Speaker 14: I want to do the purple warm poison. Speaker 14: I'm going to own big guns. Speaker 3: Just detonate one of these routes on the first. Speaker 3: Oh, boom. Speaker 2: Let's add the party to the map first. Speaker 9: Guys, I don't want to lose any of the kids. Speaker 9: Not emotionally. Speaker 9: prepared for it. Speaker 1: We just got those. Speaker 8: I know. Speaker 1: Can get more. Speaker 1: We got a lot of money. Speaker 8: Well, as long as it's not vetty or Baz. Speaker 3: Those are the favorites. Speaker 8: Yeah. Speaker 8: We always say we don't have favorites, but we clearly do.

Speaker 2: We move cheth there. Speaker 2: He was covered up by a tent. Speaker 8: Oh, he looks like, well, I don't know. Speaker 2: I can't wait to get actual art of them, but this will do for now. Speaker 8: Yeah, wait until they survive their first encounter. Speaker 1: If we could just get them to level two and let them go, we'll be happy. Speaker 2: And let them go. Speaker 3: It's a catch and release program. Speaker 2: Yeah. Speaker 10: Like little possums. Speaker 10: Oh. Speaker 7: Holy. Speaker 10: Okay, hear me out. Speaker 10: Is it there?

Speaker 10: Hear me out, though. Speaker 14: Not this episode. Speaker 2: So this thing, the first one, is going to Speaker 2: damn near fall into the camp in. Speaker 2: You guys have. Snow's going to kick up everywhere. And it's very good at scrambling on all fours. Speaker 2: It's bipedal, but it's hunched over. It looks feral and matted and diseased. Like, this thing Speaker 2: looks like it's got eight different, you know, eight different illnesses that it is ready to Speaker 2: transmit at any time. Eesh. So that one is going to flop right next to Ruby and ORA and Kimer.

Speaker 2: just behind night there and then there's one in front of night there so Speaker 2: okay okay mary would you do me a favor and oh wait I got to have the kids we got to have the kids Speaker 10: oh yeah yeah did I not oh I didn't here and let me do it again Speaker 3: there you go too great really man this is not our round for an issue Speaker 2: right hmm eight six four zero zero Speaker 2: Uh, okay. Speaker 2: Well, oh, no. Speaker 2: What if the kids roll spectacularly? Speaker 8: I know. Speaker 2: Tett. Speaker 2: Tired, buddy.

Speaker 2: And still, yeah, just... Speaker 2: Oh, no. Speaker 3: Oh, shit. Speaker 3: Cool, cool, cool, cool. Okay. Speaker 2: Oh, God. Okay. Well. Speaker 3: I mean, so I wanted to say before Speaker 3: initiative was rolled, I don't want it to sound like it's Speaker 3: metagaming, but Logron absolutely stands up Speaker 3: and yells, get behind me. Speaker 2: I think you've said it enough times that they, they know that. Speaker 2: Like, they know it. Speaker 3: Well, the kids haven't heard me say, yeah. Speaker 3: It's important that they hear these things.

Speaker 3: It's important they get behind you. Speaker 3: It's very important. Speaker 3: In fact, Baz is first. Speaker 3: I need him to pick some of these kids up and move them behind me. Speaker 2: Just one under each arm. Speaker 2: I'm making sure every child has their armor on. Speaker 2: And, uh, oh boy. Okay. Well, fuck. Speaker 2: Okay. Forgive me, there's four new characters to keep an eye. I didn't expect combat this soon. Speaker 2: You are so good. Speaker 2: There may not be that many to do with next time. Speaker 2: Oh, God. So this first wear rat is the one right in front of Knife Era.

Speaker 2: It is going to run up. Just it's big ass mandibles. You're just like, it's, it is ready to, to come chomp, Speaker 2: chomp and down here. It's ready to come. Is that what you said? Speaker 2: It's ready. It's been cranking it. And it is, it's just, it's going to try. Speaker 2: It's going to try. Speaker 2: try and bite. Speaker 2: Oh, shit. Speaker 2: Does a 17 hit night there? Speaker 8: Yes. I do a constitution saving through. Speaker 8: Oh, no. Speaker 8: I don't want like cancerope. Speaker 15: You've gone so many years without getting it.

Speaker 8: I know. Speaker 15: I need a constitution saving through. Speaker 15: Yeah. Speaker 7: Wow. Speaker 7: Meats. Speaker 2: Meats. It beats it. Speaker 2: It beats it. Speaker 2: Yes. Speaker 2: Oh, man. Speaker 2: So you do not have to roll that every time you're bitten, you're good for 24 hours. Speaker 7: Oh, thank God. Speaker 2: Yeah. Speaker 2: Maxine. Speaker 2: But right on the cusp, you were right there. Speaker 7: No. Speaker 2: Okay. Speaker 2: Baz is up. Speaker 2: Baz is going to look over to Logren. Speaker 2: And normally, he's.

Speaker 2: has, he's going to put these up. But he's kind of looking to you. Like, is it okay if I throw Speaker 2: something? Like, is it like he's going to grab a ranged weapon? Like, kind of run it by you. Speaker 3: He's like, mm. I mean, Logron, it literally is like, get them. And he's pointing to the two Speaker 3: girls who are right in front of this wear rat. Okay. Like, drag. Speaker 3: He's asking for directions, like, remove them from the wear. Speaker 2: Throw them. Speaker 2: Yeah. Speaker 2: Oh, man. Okay. Well, oh, shit. All right. Speaker 2: He's going to try and grapple Vetti, I guess.

Speaker 2: No, no, no, no damage. Don't worry about that. Speaker 2: So dexterity is going to be Vettie's thing, not strength. Speaker 2: So... Speaker 2: Is she resisting it? Speaker 2: I think it's more surprise. Like, they're looking at the wear rats and all of a sudden, Speaker 2: something's grabbing from behind. I think it's just being Speaker 2: terrified, right? Like not, you know. Speaker 2: Shit. Speaker 8: Thuddy. Speaker 3: Fuddy. Speaker 2: So if, okay, so that's a 19. She is going to like slip out of this and then Speaker 2: probably turn around.

It's like, oh Christ, like, okay, okay, that's you. It's fine. I thought that was a rat. Speaker 2: I thought I was being eaten. Speaker 3: Well, now you are because you didn't get out of the line. Speaker 2: Oh, where rat is right in between three lovely morsels. Speaker 1: Ruby's making a lot of noise. Speaker 2: So is Kimira. Speaker 2: He's like Flats or to be fair. Speaker 2: It's like, Speaker 7: Stop. Speaker 1: Girl, no. Speaker 7: No. Speaker 3: Shut up. Speaker 2: No, it's more like, Speaker 3: We may. Just like that. Speaker 3: Shut up.

Speaker 3: You're going to attract more. Speaker 2: God. Okay. Speaker 2: All right. Speaker 2: I need a three or included. Speaker 2: Everyone make a D20 and the lowest one is getting attacked. Speaker 8: Oh, go, guys. Speaker 2: Okay. Speaker 2: Seven. Speaker 2: All right. And Laura. Speaker 2: Money. Okay. There you go. Speaker 2: Honestly, her scream is probably so high pitch that the rat doesn't... Speaker 2: It's like, mm. Like, yeah. Speaker 2: Yeah. God. No. Speaker 10: Uh, Ian, I'm so sorry. Speaker 10: No, this is how it should be. Speaker 10: I guess.

Speaker 10: Oh, gosh, 18? Speaker 10: Yeah, that'll definitely hit. Speaker 2: All right. Speaker 2: Can I please get a constitution saving throw? Speaker 10: Yes, sir. Speaker 10: Oh, shit, you're good. Speaker 2: That's not a dirty 20, baby. Speaker 10: Yeah. Speaker 10: I am going to do something as a Speaker 10: a reaction if when whenever you're finished. Speaker 10: I'm gonna get me. Speaker 10: I am going to cast a spell called arcane repost. Speaker 10: So you respond to an incoming attack with magical infused attack of your own, Speaker 10: make a melee spell attack against the creature that attack to.

Speaker 10: If it hits, the creature takes 3D6, acid, cold, fire, lightning, poison, or thunder damage. Speaker 1: Mm, like it. Speaker 10: Wow. Speaker 10: Okay. Speaker 10: So let me see if I have never done that. Speaker 10: this before so I think I can just do this and it'll do the correct roll oh shone of Speaker 10: how's it 12 does it 12 hit it hits it does these are big guys it does it hits it hits Speaker 10: fantastic I guess what I technically would I have had uh well it hits it's Speaker 10: disadvantage well not disadvantage but uh an expertise die because I got to uh Speaker 10: Because I maybe have flanking there?

Speaker 10: Because Ruby's there? Speaker 2: Oh, so, okay. Flanking. You guys never get in the combat. I forgot about it. Speaker 2: So there has to be a line. You have to be on either side of it. Then it starts. Speaker 2: Okay. So you gotta be flanking first. But that's okay. Speaker 10: Got it, got it. Yeah, so let's call that fire damage. So when this creature like bites in, Speaker 10: chimera's like, ow, fuck. And like, from where he bites, it just like flames up out of Speaker 10: of Chimer's skin like into this creature's face, like out of the puncture wounds.

Speaker 10: Um, and just like burns. Speaker 10: I was going to say it burns his face, but it kind of just looks like his face is already Speaker 10: burns. Speaker 1: More burns. Speaker 2: Okay, so this thing, yeah, that like its fur is going to catch on fire and it, oh my God, Speaker 2: the smell is god awful. Like it is burnt hair and Speaker 2: yeah, these things are disgusting. Speaker 2: Would you guys like boss bars? Speaker 2: That's help. Speaker 8: I love boss bars. Speaker 8: Yeah. Speaker 2: All right. Speaker 2: That's work.

Speaker 2: Oh. Speaker 8: Woo. Speaker 8: Those are some big boss bars. Speaker 2: Yeah. Speaker 2: You can reshape them. Speaker 2: You can move them. Speaker 2: You can do whatever you like. Speaker 8: Oh. Speaker 2: I like that they're like goopy acid bars too. Speaker 8: Yeah. Speaker 2: Yeah. Speaker 2: Very cool. Speaker 2: All right. Speaker 2: Lower right hand side you can reshape. Speaker 2: Do whatever you like. Speaker 1: Love it. Speaker 1: Okay. Speaker 2: That. Speaker 2: Thank you. Speaker 2: Oh, man. That is five damage. Speaker 2: Or is right next to this thing.

Speaker 8: Or is... Speaker 2: Gambling. Speaker 2: So this is a good time to test that. Speaker 2: Oh, shoot. Speaker 10: So... Speaker 10: I was going to curse him too. Speaker 10: I forgot about that. I got that as a bonus action. Speaker 10: Can I curse him real quick? Speaker 10: Yes, please. Speaker 10: Thank you. Speaker 10: Thank you. Thank you. Speaker 10: Thank you. Speaker 3: I mean, Lardin's been cursing it. Speaker 8: for the six seconds it's been here he's teaching the kids dwarven right now they're Speaker 3: learning all the curse words just like you do in sixth grade and you take your first Speaker 8: Spanish class I instantly thought of the curse words I know in Spanish Speaker 10: there you go are we good and cursed I believe so yes no no no no not yet Speaker 2: Hold on.

There we go. Now it's cursed. Yep. Awesome. Speaker 2: So, ORA is obviously terrified. This is a little quicker than what she was hoping. Speaker 2: But she is going to manage to like grab. She has a saber. She's going to manage to grab this thing. Speaker 2: And she has these bracelets that are going to glow. Speaker 2: Anyone within 10 feet of her is within her aura of luck. Speaker 2: She has a dice pull that she can expend on critical hits. Speaker 2: Anyone who gets a critical hit automatically gets additional dice to throw in for damage. Speaker 2: Nice.

Speaker 2: And if you're within 10 feet of her, you get advantage on any attack. Speaker 8: Ooh. Speaker 2: How many feet? Speaker 10: 10 feet. Speaker 10: All right. Speaker 10: Come through, Orah. Speaker 10: Damn. Speaker 10: Diva. Speaker 10: And she's gonna use her saber. Speaker 8: Think she just got. Speaker 2: Oh, no. Speaker 2: It's her first time. Speaker 2: She's never swung in anger. Speaker 2: That is a crit one. Speaker 5: She's very scared. Speaker 2: Yeah. Speaker 2: Yeah. Speaker 2: At this level, she does not have anything that would change her own luck.

Speaker 2: But everyone has her own luck. Speaker 2: else. Oh, no. Okay. Well, we got to see if that rolls on our crit table, son of a bitch. Speaker 2: It does. No. I'm so scared. She got to be okay. I'm so scared. I'm so scared. Speaker 10: Happens to the best of us. It's okay. It's your first time. Mm-hmm. You're doing great, sweetie. Speaker 10: Get out of here. Speaker 10: Back up. Speaker 10: It was so lovely meeting you. Speaker 10: No. Speaker 8: No. Speaker 8: No, Ruby. Speaker 2: Critical counter. Speaker 2: The target critically hits you with a basic attack.

Speaker 2: Gains advantage on their next attack and does double damage if they hit their next attack. Speaker 10: Oh, my God. Speaker 10: What? Speaker 2: Jesus Christ. Speaker 2: So. Speaker 2: Okay. Speaker 10: Oh. Speaker 2: Oh, boy. Speaker 2: So, oh, Christ, that's a bite. Speaker 2: And that is... Speaker 2: Shit! Speaker 2: An automatic crit! Speaker 2: Uh, boy. Speaker 5: Oh, no. Speaker 2: So 12, right? Speaker 2: She rolled six. Speaker 2: Yes. Speaker 2: So that would be enough to knock her straight out. Speaker 2: Oh, goodness. Speaker 8: Does everybody have their healing potion into their...

Speaker 2: Yeah. Speaker 2: So she's going to swing with this saber, and while her arm is out, it's a big clumsy swing. Speaker 2: While her arms out, the rat is just going to chop down and bite clean through her furs and leather jacket and just ragdoll her and she's going to fall. Speaker 2: Blood is going to spray all over the clean white snow here. Speaker 10: Uh, nice era. Speaker 10: Fetty, come get your girl. Speaker 10: Fetti, come get your girl. Speaker 8: Get her out of there. Speaker 8: Nythera is going to step next to Ruby. Speaker 8: And her, she's going to have her daggers out, Speaker 8: and one is glistening with this purple, like, Speaker 8: iridescent purple, and she's got to take a swipe at Speaker 8: the wear rat.

Speaker 8: And I get... Speaker 8: There's a chimera straight across. Speaker 2: There is a chimera. Speaker 2: So you have a D6. Speaker 2: You would have had a D8 a second ago. Speaker 2: But it's a D6 right now. Speaker 5: Expertise die. Speaker 5: I'll take what I get. Speaker 8: Okay. Speaker 8: D6. Speaker 8: Sneak attack. Carver. Speaker 7: Hmm. Speaker 8: Oh, yeah. Speaker 8: Okay. So... Speaker 8: 10? Speaker 2: Now, hold on a second. Speaker 2: Even though she's unconscious, Speaker 2: aura's, uh, aura is still up until she's dead. Speaker 2: So you get...

Speaker 2: That's a good or are you within 10 feet? Speaker 2: You're not shit. Speaker 7: No. Speaker 2: Damn it. No. 10 is going to miss. Speaker 2: That was great. Speaker 2: We did expertise die. Holy shit. Speaker 8: So, feel free. I did roll that one earlier, but then I re-rolled it. Speaker 8: But my inspiration, I get inspiration for every one I roll. Does that one still count? Speaker 8: Because I have the excellence. That's my, um, what's that called? Speaker 8: My destiny is excellent. Speaker 2: Yeah. So, yeah, because that one would have taken the place of the, yeah.

Speaker 2: So you have inspiration if you want to use it now. Speaker 8: Yes. Speaker 8: Yes, I do. Speaker 8: Okay. Speaker 8: Okay. Speaker 8: Okay, let's get. Let's do all of this scene. Speaker 2: Also, I'm incorrect, her aura is not up. I'm sorry. Speaker 2: I miss red. Speaker 8: That's okay. Speaker 8: How about a 23? Speaker 2: That's a lot of once and twos, but we're, yeah, 23 Speaker 2: definitely hits. That's six piercing damage. Speaker 2: No, it's not. Speaker 2: It's not. Speaker 2: Oh, boy. Speaker 8: Because it's not counting the poison.

Speaker 8: Okay. Speaker 8: So let me tell you about this iridescent, dark magenta toxin that's on the blade. Speaker 8: It is purple worm poison. Speaker 8: So it's 12D6 additional. Speaker 8: They have to roll a 19 constitution saving throw. Speaker 8: Or they take 12D6 additional damage on a failure or half as much on a success. Speaker 2: How many of those do you have? Speaker 2: You only have a couple, right? Speaker 8: I don't have a couple of warm. Speaker 2: Yeah. Speaker 2: Okay. Speaker 2: Shit. Speaker 2: That's good time. Speaker 2: kind of pull this out.

Speaker 2: I'm not gonna. Speaker 2: So they have advantage on disease saving roles, but not poison. Speaker 2: So, yeah. Speaker 14: Okay, so let me just get this 12D6. Speaker 14: One-Z-1-6. Speaker 3: Yeah. Well, okay. This is going to be bad. Speaker 3: This is where you lose something playing virtually because it's fun to actually take out 12 dice for this. Speaker 3: Yeah. Speaker 3: Like. Speaker 3: Okay. Speaker 2: Oh, my God. Speaker 2: Wow. Speaker 2: 57 damage! Speaker 2: Oh, Jesus. Speaker 2: That will be enough to kill the rat. Speaker 2: Oh, God.

Speaker 8: So, okay. Speaker 8: So Nythera is just going to take a slight, like this dancer's step, just back. Speaker 8: And then she's just going to lift her arm behind the rat as it's pulling, like, Speaker 8: ORA's arm, and it's like ragdolling her. Speaker 8: And she's just going to quickly slice. Speaker 8: Slice. Speaker 8: It's neck. Speaker 8: And it's going to go straight through its windpipe and trachea and all the way down to the spine. Speaker 8: And you could see its head just flip back. Speaker 2: You're going to watch. Speaker 2: You're going to watch that poison like xenomorph blood.

Speaker 2: Just eat away at both ends of that gash. Speaker 2: So it is just bubbling. Speaker 2: And it is just going to fall over. Speaker 2: It doesn't even get to squeak. Speaker 2: Like it just falls over. Speaker 2: It almost falls. Speaker 2: on aura, but it just kind of like, just like, yeah. Speaker 8: And then Night The Earth is going to take a step back and with her off hand attack the other one. Speaker 2: Oh, my God. Speaker 2: At least you're out of fucking warm blood. Speaker 13: Let me just get to see other poisons later. It's fine.

Speaker 3: Yeah. It's one of those things, man. Every time we get into a fight, Speaker 3: the rest of us get to look at each other and go, God damn, I'm glad she likes us. Speaker 3: Yeah. Speaker 3: Holy shit. Speaker 1: Oh, my God. Speaker 8: Okay. Speaker 1: I really decide to really when I let's do this first. Speaker 8: 13. Speaker 1: 13 hits. Speaker 8: Okay, just four damage this time. Speaker 2: Okay. Speaker 2: Pussy. Speaker 2: No, I said. Speaker 8: Okay. Okay. Speaker 2: No, just, holy shit. Speaker 8: But I broke out the big guns for that one because I heard where.

Speaker 8: And I was like, okay, we're taking care of this real quick. Speaker 8: before they region. Speaker 2: Yeah. Speaker 2: Yeah. Speaker 2: Well, so where rats don't have the same, they have other things and it's, it's, it's, it's Speaker 2: Nergel shit. Speaker 2: Like, just, it's good to just get rid of it. Speaker 2: Like, yeah. Speaker 2: You made the right call. Speaker 2: That's what I'm saying. Speaker 2: Well, shit. Speaker 2: Fuck. Speaker 2: Betty's turn. Speaker 8: Oh, and I'd like to point out again on night there. Speaker 8: I just not get any of the blood on her because it was facing the other way.

Speaker 2: Oh, yeah. Speaker 2: Probably dumps more. Speaker 2: more on aura, honestly. Speaker 2: Like, because that was right in front of. Speaker 1: Oh, my God. Speaker 1: What I was going to say earlier is just side note, Speaker 1: I love that every time there is combat and Nithera can do what Nithera does, Speaker 1: it really does speak to her whole past. Speaker 1: This isn't a first or second or third level character who's just starting out. Speaker 1: This is sort of like a very experienced fighter. Speaker 1: Just kind of, you know, Speaker 8: shaking off the heart.

Speaker 1: off the cobwebs. Yeah. I love it. Speaker 8: Yeah. She's probably faced where rats before so she knew where to like get it where it was the weakest. Speaker 2: Yeah. Turns out most things the throat is a good. It's a good starting point. Yeah. Speaker 8: Eyes and throat guys. Speaker 2: So. Uh, Betty's going to be like devastated that like one aura is bitten and and and she's thinking, Speaker 2: okay, I don't I don't know medicine. I don't know how to do that. So the only thing she could do, she has a Speaker 2: short bow and she's going to try and shoot past Nitha and into this rat.

And God help us all. Speaker 2: Let's see. Speaker 2: Oh, they are rolling as they should. Speaker 7: Yeah, they're children. Speaker 2: Yeah, that's a nine. So it's going to go wide, but it is going, like, Speaker 2: Niter is going to feel the wind of it's. Speaker 2: like, what the fuck? Like, just kind of a set. Speaker 2: Then, like, vetting would be like, like, oh my God, I almost hit you. Speaker 3: I'm so sorry. I almost shot my hero. I almost shot my hero. Speaker 1: A Ruby! All right. Yeah, Ruby's just going to come straight on over. Speaker 8: Finish this, Ruby.

Well, I don't know about that, but all right, Speaker 1: Just gonna just barrel down with her kinetic amplifier gloves. Speaker 1: Just buch-r-sh-h-h-h. Speaker 1: And she's just gonna punch. Speaker 1: Also, this is her first anything of the day. Speaker 1: She gets to add one expertise die, so I'm gonna go ahead and start there. Speaker 8: Nice. Speaker 8: Oh, gosh. Speaker 1: Not good. Speaker 1: What was that? Speaker 2: 11 misses. Speaker 1: 11 misses. Speaker 1: This is, dang. Shoot. Okay. Speaker 1: All right. Fine. Then she's gonna bonus action.

She's gonna flurry a blows. Speaker 1: Punch, punch, punch. Punch. Punch. Speaker 1: Let me get there. Give me a second. Speaker 1: Where is it? There it is. Speaker 1: And... Speaker 2: Oh, that's better. Speaker 1: Better. 14 hits. Speaker 1: 14 hits. Speaker 1: Uh, damage already there. Speaker 1: Damage is already there and it's eaten away at that boss ball. Speaker 1: All right. Perfect. Speaker 1: Um, I guess that's it. Speaker 3: Logrin, you're up. Speaker 3: Okay. Uh, as a move action, five, 10, 15. Speaker 3: That's my full range of motion. Speaker 3: Oh, thanks.

Speaker 3: I always forget about that. Speaker 3: He's just, excuse me, I got to hear it. Speaker 3: He will as his action, pop a cork, health potion into this poor girl. Speaker 3: Okay. Speaker 3: So let me do that real quick. Speaker 3: Healing potion. Speaker 3: Do you have to target her? Speaker 3: No, I got it. Speaker 3: I got you. Speaker 3: Okay. Speaker 3: Let me just roll it then. Speaker 3: That's seven. Speaker 2: Nice. Speaker 2: Seven healing. Speaker 3: Just bargain basement potions. It would have been wasted on her if I bought the nice.

Speaker 3: It doesn't have enough. Look at her. Speaker 3: Teeth went right through her. Speaker 3: So, yeah, seven on her. And then as a free action, he's going to plan his shield right in front. Speaker 3: And he's going to yell, just stay behind me. And that's going to be his turn. Speaker 8: The feeling he's not going to listen to you. Speaker 10: He's got that Zvi-Hander. Speaker 2: Chet's in deep shit if he pulls something like that. Speaker 2: Yeah, he's going to charge this rat and grab at that. Speaker 2: And I'll tell you why. I can tell you, character-wise, why.

Speaker 2: But it's because Orr was bitten that the stable, that the stable, Speaker 2: back. It's like, well, that's not working. Like, it's, he's thinking a bit irrationally. Speaker 3: Nobody's trying to yet. Stop. Yeah, true. Speaker 2: Oh, good God. Okay. Great sword. Speaker 2: He is not proficient with this weapon yet. So this should be... Speaker 2: Oh, my God! Speaker 2: No! Okay. Speaker 8: Wait. Oh. Speaker 2: Wow. That might be the worst thing to happen is he fucking merks this. Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm actually upset about that net 20. That's the worst thing that could have happened.

Speaker 2: No lessons will be learned here. And he will learn nothing from this. Speaker 2: Yeah. Ah, shit. Well, let's see if this rolls on our crit table. Speaker 2: Oh my God. Guys, this could be bad for his ego. Speaker 2: So he is going to race up and using the momentum of his run, he is just going to overhand chop this. Speaker 2: The clumsiest swordsing, sorts when you've ever seen. Speaker 2: And it is going to go directly into the skull of this wear rat. Speaker 2: And already, he's doing 26 slashing damage. Speaker 2: Wow. Speaker 7: And we're seeing...

Speaker 2: Uh... Speaker 2: 9. Speaker 2: In addition to standard critical hit damage, the target's AC is reduced by two for the remainder of this encounter. Speaker 2: Nice. Okay. So it's just going to stop bobbing and weaving and it's like a chip of its skull has been taken out. Speaker 2: Like it has, you know, it is fucked up and it is like rocking back and forth on its feet. Speaker 2: Let's do that damage. Speaker 2: Oh, it is visible. Like, it is "Fucked up. Like, it is "Fucked up. Like, it is like, "Wckxed up. Speaker 2: This thing is rocked and there's no way Chet doesn't walk out of this thinking.

Speaker 2: I mean, maybe it's fair. Speaker 2: Fair enough. Speaker 8: Maybe he did. Speaker 8: Maybe he's a natural. Speaker 2: It's the only time he's ever swung this sword at a living creature ever. Speaker 2: Like. Speaker 2: So in his head, he's like, oh my God, I'm a natural. Speaker 8: Maybe he's the next great hero. We don't know. Speaker 1: Honestly, being in any sort of combat with Nithera is giving them all a very skewed view of what a Speaker 1: like that's not a big deal like what's the big deal? Speaker 2: Just let it's throw guys.

Why are you doing 57 damage around? Speaker 2: What? Speaker 2: To him it's like, wait, this is like my first fight. I, I almost did as well as Speaker 2: Nithyrid. Like in his head, he's going to walk out of this. Speaker 3: From a same level. Yeah. You and me. You and me. Speaker 3: Like, yeah. Seven is just going to be Chetborn. It's just to just Speaker 7: Yeah. Speaker 3: The cult of Chet in the following he builds. Speaker 3: Kimira, he never becomes proficient with the weapon. Speaker 3: He just... Speaker 3: Yeah, accidentally into this shit.

Speaker 2: Just big, massive, clumsy, stupid swings. Speaker 10: As Chet goes running out, I think Kamiro's share the look with Lagrin like, that's going to be a problem. Speaker 10: Like... Speaker 10: And yeah, as this one where rat creature dies, it like, it's life force, this sort of like shadow kind of like sweeps around it and just kind of like spirals around chimera and like sucks up some of his life force. Speaker 10: And chimera looks a little better. And then he is just going to, as he's done many times before, reach around the large shield of Lagerin and just like.

Speaker 10: Stick at us finger and fire a bright Eldridge Ray at this thing. Speaker 10: So here we go. Speaker 10: Yeah, it's a nice to roll above a four. Speaker 10: Yeah. Speaker 2: That'll definitely hit 20, baby. Speaker 2: Four force damage. Speaker 2: Oh, it is. Speaker 2: Look, that's no chat damage. Speaker 2: but like your get is, it is respectable. Speaker 2: Right. Speaker 10: Oh, God. Speaker 10: I think that's all I can do. Speaker 10: Yeah. Speaker 10: Yeah. Speaker 10: That's it. Speaker 10: That's my turn. Speaker 10: That's the end of round one, guys.

Speaker 2: Nithaura is up first, followed by Vettie. Speaker 2: Oh, golly. Speaker 2: Okay. Speaker 2: Okay. Speaker 8: Okay. Speaker 8: Blade now clean of toxin. Speaker 8: She's going to take a swing at the Wair Rat. Speaker 8: And I get sneak attack because I'm within five feet of Ruby. Speaker 2: Nice. Speaker 8: Yeah. Speaker 2: Oh, God, 23 hits. Speaker 2: 15 damage. Speaker 2: That will kill the wear rat. Speaker 2: That will kill the Warrat. Speaker 2: I thought that was going to be way worse. Speaker 2: Honestly, taking out the first one was a good idea.

Speaker 2: Like that's a good. Speaker 2: So the very second this fight is over. Speaker 2: Orr is still on the ground and Vetti is going to drop her bow, probably not the smartest thing, Speaker 2: and immediately start checking on aura. Orr is panicked. Speaker 2: Like, knows that being bitten by one of the Speaker 2: these things isn't good, but doesn't know why, really. Speaker 2: You know what I mean? Speaker 2: Like, it's like, okay. Speaker 2: Uh, being bitten is like the worst thing that could possibly happen. Speaker 2: So she's just like running through all the options.

Speaker 2: Like, oh my God, am I going to die? Speaker 2: Is this it? Speaker 2: Like, am I, like, is this, like, is my blood going to turn to whatever the hell that is? Speaker 2: Pointing to the one that's just being eaten away with xenomor venom. Speaker 3: Like in Lagrin, it will actually, his shield is planted. Speaker 3: So he literally turns around. Speaker 3: with the shield still there, like, as a barrier, and will assist in, like, checking her over. Speaker 3: And he's being as common presence as he can about it. He's been like, you're all right, Speaker 3: you're all right.

Let's just, let's see what it looks like. You're going to be fine, you know. Speaker 3: And so he's trying to be as common presence as he can. But he will assist in if, if, Speaker 3: that he's doing a medicine check or something like that. He will. Speaker 3: That he has no medicine skills whatsoever. Speaker 3: Then Loggeron will see that very quickly. And he will see that very quickly. Speaker 3: He will perform one. Speaker 3: I don't think I have any skills at it either. Speaker 3: But it's probably better than hers. Speaker 3: Well, okay. Speaker 3: I'm rolling.

Speaker 3: But I will roll it just for fun. Speaker 3: Let's do it. Speaker 3: Yeah, let's get a three. Speaker 3: Oh. Speaker 3: You're fine. Speaker 3: You're fine. Speaker 3: Walk it off. Speaker 3: Rob some dirt in it. Speaker 2: Yeah. Speaker 2: Yeah. Speaker 3: No, more of it. Speaker 3: Like, you know, you're all right. Speaker 3: You're all right. Speaker 3: You're still with us. Speaker 3: You know, you're going to be okay. Speaker 7: And she has eyes. Speaker 3: If this girl is now a wear rat, you know. Speaker 2: Right. Speaker 2: Like, she has eyes.

Speaker 2: Like, she can look like, it's like, it clean through everything. Speaker 2: And the healing potion, like, it filled the hole. Speaker 2: But it looks horrendous. Speaker 3: And this is... Speaker 3: Looked is... Speaker 2: Yeah. Like, it, like, she can look everywhere. Speaker 2: And it's like, that's my blood. And that's my blood. And this back here is like, like, Speaker 2: that she's freaking out. Speaker 2: Because looks to her a very way. Speaker 2: very important. And this is not a good look. You know what I mean? Teeth marks in your in your forearm.

Speaker 2: I got a roll her constitution save. Speaker 2: Khan is not or is she's yeah, that it's a flat roll. Speaker 2: We're shooting for 12 or higher. Can I assist? Speaker 12: No, I tell. Speaker 2: Can I shrink down and enter her bloodstream and fight off the... Speaker 2: I'm thinking about making this a private role. Speaker 3: I think that makes sense. Speaker 8: I don't like it. Speaker 3: I don't like it either. Speaker 10: I sucks, but... Speaker 10: And you suck for it. Speaker 10: But I do. Speaker 10: I do. Speaker 10: I do. Speaker 1: This is morally reprehensible what you're about to do.

Speaker 7: We don't like you anymore. Speaker 7: But... Speaker 1: It's the right, wrong thing to do. Speaker 2: Is anyone trained in medicine by any chance? Speaker 2: Really ought to do something about that. Speaker 2: Yeah, not trained. Speaker 1: Okay. Speaker 8: Investigation. Speaker 1: Acrobatics. I can do acrobatics on her. Speaker 8: I jump at him. Speaker 8: I can investigate the disease. Speaker 1: Yeah. Speaker 2: Oh, yeah, no. Speaker 2: So, okay. Speaker 2: So she's scared shitless, obviously. Speaker 2: There will be no sleep tonight for, for ORA.

Speaker 2: And Vettie's trying to calm her down, trying to, you know, but it's very difficult because Speaker 2: best case scenario, she is now partially mutilated. Speaker 2: Worst case scenario is much worse. Speaker 2: Two little hands are going to kind of. Speaker 2: kind of prop themselves up on chimera shoulders. Speaker 2: That doesn't look good at all, pumpkin. Speaker 10: No, it doesn't. Speaker 10: Do you know what it looks like? Speaker 10: Can you tell? Speaker 2: Well, I'm not a doctor, but... Speaker 2: I could help. Speaker 10: I think we need it.

Speaker 10: I think she needs it. Speaker 2: I need her to say that. Speaker 2: I imagine this is taking place like you're, you know, you're a few, like, 10 feet or so away. Speaker 2: So yeah, but just essentially no one in the party knows. Speaker 2: because no one's trained in medicine. Speaker 2: And he's taking full advantage of that. Speaker 10: Just to be clear, this is on me. Speaker 10: Anything that happens or anything you need or anything that needs to take place is on me. Speaker 2: Ah, I would rather have an extra. Speaker 2: You can...

Speaker 2: She's young. There's so much potential there. Speaker 2: And she's so... Speaker 2: Desperate. Speaker 10: Yes, but she's too young. Speaker 2: They're never too young. Speaker 10: I know we were together when I was very young. Speaker 10: But that's different. I can take it. Speaker 10: If you need something extra, you can take it from me. Speaker 10: You know I'd like extra. Speaker 10: I'm all about extra. Speaker 2: And I love to give you extra, Star muffin, but... Speaker 2: Have a talk with the girl. Speaker 2: See how receptive she would be.

Speaker 2: I could at least take away that nasty little scar. Speaker 10: I'm not worried about the scar. Scars are cool. Speaker 10: It's what's left behind. Speaker 2: Ask her. Speaker 2: Although, I guess, it's moot if she starts gnawing on party members in the middle of the night. Speaker 10: I can get her to ask. Speaker 10: But if this deal has to be... Speaker 10: that she is cured. Speaker 10: And anything that you require, Speaker 10: I will shoulder. I will take on. Speaker 10: And you can make it extra depraved. Speaker 10: I don't mind.

Speaker 10: Mm. Speaker 10: Mm. Speaker 10: Yeah. Speaker 2: Please don't take this the wrong way, pumpkin butt. Speaker 2: But I've done so much with you. Speaker 2: I want to play the field a little bit. Speaker 10: We can find someone for you and Esther Holt. Speaker 10: Someone else. Speaker 10: That's easy. Speaker 10: I can do that. Speaker 10: They can even be relatively young. Speaker 10: Just not her. Speaker 2: Well, you've had a long day. Speaker 2: How about I leave you to it? Speaker 2: You just, you get some sleep. You look tired. Speaker 2: Which is his way of kind of backhandedly.

It's like, oh, right. Speaker 7: Yeah. Speaker 10: Always appreciate your visits. Speaker 2: And he's just going to kind of like slink away. Speaker 2: This is something he has done in the past, by the way. Speaker 2: He's expressed interest in you, like, being in others. Speaker 2: Right. And like, you know, and then he'll, he'll, he'll, he'll neg you in order to get you to Speaker 2: pursue him harder. And it's like, no, take more away. Pronger like that kind of thing. Speaker 2: And it's so neat. Works. Speaker 10: Yeah. It's awful. Speaker 10: Yeah.

Speaker 10: Damn. Speaker 10: Kimer is not looking great. Speaker 10: And yeah, that rattles him. Speaker 10: But he is going to kneel down to aura and just sort of like, you know, like, look at her. Speaker 10: He just put like a calm hand on her and like look at her clothes and go, oh, you know, we can fix this with some patches. Speaker 10: In fact, it will look even cooler with some patches. Speaker 10: And this right here, this is going to leave a nasty scar. Speaker 10: And that looks... Speaker 10: And that looks awesome. Speaker 10: And he's going to pull up...

Speaker 10: He's going to pull up, like, up on his arms and stuff and just show her, like, Speaker 10: scars on his body that he's gotten from various combats and stuff like that. Speaker 10: And be like, look, people love these. Speaker 10: There's a story. Speaker 10: in every single one. Speaker 10: And the cool thing is you get to tell it however you want. Speaker 3: Because he was in the middle of trying to offer this girl liquor to get her to calm down Speaker 3: when you came over. Speaker 3: So he will actually pick up on what you're doing and he'll and he'll like pull off his Speaker 3: garment and show like one of the scars that he has on the back of his arm.

Speaker 3: Just to kind of like add a little bit extra to. Speaker 3: that attempt. Speaker 3: It's better than what he has. Speaker 10: I don't know. Speaker 10: Liquor does work. Speaker 2: She's not off the table. Speaker 2: She's with you with the patching up the jacket, everything like that. Speaker 2: And then you start telling her it's going to leave a nasty scar. Speaker 2: And you're showing her and she is going to burst into tears. Speaker 2: And she's going to scamper, like, get up and move away. Speaker 2: Like kind of almost limping.

Speaker 2: away just like, oh, God, I didn't know it would hurt this much when I go to move. Speaker 2: And Fettie's going to chase after her, but first, every one of these kids have backstories. Speaker 2: And this is the worst possible fucking thing to happen. Speaker 2: Fetti is going to like move over to Kymer and it's like, she's not, it's not, it's. Speaker 2: It's not. It's. Speaker 2: So her sister was in a fire and like she had. Speaker 2: a bunch of burn stuff going on. Speaker 2: And it just, it messes with her a lot. Speaker 2: So just don't, like, don't, you know, she's like keeping her hands up.

Speaker 2: It's like, please don't feel bad. Speaker 2: And then she's got to chase after her. Speaker 10: I grabbed the liquor out of Loggeron's hand and I just take a step. Speaker 10: Yeah. Speaker 10: Give me a lot of that. Speaker 2: Guys, I think that's a good time for us to stop for the evening. Speaker 2: I think it's been a successful first day. Speaker 3: This is great, these kids. Speaker 3: That's the idea. Speaker 1: Oh, my God. Speaker 2: Well, she was already hanging out in a sewer. Speaker 3: So this is, Speaker 3: we brought them out deliberately to be like, Speaker 3: now we're going to see some wear rats.

Speaker 3: This is going to get real bad. Speaker 3: Just don't try to swing at it with your story. Speaker 2: Unless you want to be awesome as fuck. Speaker 10: That's the next conversation. Speaker 10: Your worst fears will manifest. Speaker 10: So that will be cool. Speaker 10: God. Speaker 10: Could have been anyone else. Speaker 7: That sucks. Speaker 3: Susan, you're muted. Speaker 8: Oh, sorry. Maybe someone in Eddie's camp will be trained in medicine and can tell us if she's infected. Speaker 3: Hmm. Speaker 3: That would be nice. Speaker 3: Can we take some teeth?

Speaker 8: Yeah. Speaker 8: I just think we're already has a bag. Speaker 2: Yeah, there's a whole conversation. Speaker 2: Just stomping on the skull of this fucking thing. Speaker 2: Give me those truth. Speaker 3: Motherfucker. Speaker 8: No, just prying them out with their dagger. Speaker 3: I mean, so Logrin's first thought when the wear rat appeared was get behind me. Speaker 3: His second thought was like, ooh. Speaker 7: That's could be it. Speaker 7: Yeah. Speaker 7: I need you. Speaker 7: I need you.
