Speaker 1: Let's do that thing, where we go around the table and into two ourselves. Speaker 1: I'm chasing. Speaker 1: I'm the duchmaster. Speaker 1: Go around the table. Speaker 1: Starting with Ian. Speaker 2: Hello. Speaker 2: I'm Ian. Any pronouns good. Speaker 2: And I am playing chimera, the Tiefling Warlock. Speaker 3: And Jameson. Speaker 3: Hi, I'm Jameson. Heehm, and I am playing Logren Cragborn. He is a dwarf and a marshal. Speaker 3: Dwarcial. Dwarshall. Spaghur. Speaker 1: Oh, no. And Jasper. Speaker 4: Hey, everybody. I'm Jasper. He him.

I play Ruby Pedigrew, the Gearslinger Adept. Speaker 4: And last and certainly not least, Susan! Speaker 5: Hi, I'm Susan Spanator. My pronouns are she her. And I will be playing Nythera, Rihilith, the Elven Rogue. Speaker 1: How about we kick things off with some looting? There's a caravan. Speaker 1: Well, there was a caravan. Well, you're right. Okay. Sorry, the physical bits of the Speaker 1: The caravan beyond the people are still there and the horses. Speaker 1: But the gear, gears, here's there. Speaker 1: We obviously have a lot to discuss in terms of things you found, a little bits of story stuff.

Speaker 1: And what it is you want to do if anything's changed since last sit down. Speaker 1: But let's start off with some, just some good old-fashioned looting. Speaker 1: I think I can share this entire folder with you. Speaker 1: guys. Speaker 6: What? Speaker 1: I think. Speaker 1: A folder? Speaker 1: Oh, there's a folder, baby. Speaker 4: It's a caravan, guys. Speaker 4: Oh, my God. Speaker 4: Look. Speaker 4: I've printed this out. It's a 120 page? Speaker 1: Yeah. Speaker 1: I'm working on a new book. Speaker 1: Yeah. Speaker 1: Yeah. Speaker 4: Yeah.

Speaker 4: I guess I'd kill me. Speaker 4: Hey, if you've got a 120 page PDF to send me right now, we're in great shape. Speaker 5: Right? Speaker 5: Stop. Speaker 3: It's okay, okay. Speaker 3: It's okay. Speaker 3: Yeah. Speaker 3: And he ran off. Speaker 6: I need another tart. Speaker 4: Emotional support, blueberries. Speaker 4: Raged tart. Speaker 5: So I think role play-wise in character, Speaker 5: Ruby and Loggerin went off. Speaker 5: And they set off in one direction going at least like 20 minutes. Speaker 5: So while we see them disappear in the distance, Speaker 5: and I think, Nitheuro will turn to Kamer and be like, Speaker 5: Well, we've confirmed this isn't cursed.

Speaker 5: So we should take what we can. Speaker 2: Oh, absolutely. Speaker 2: They're obviously not making use of this stuff. Speaker 2: And we're alive and kicking. We should. Speaker 5: I mean, it's just going to sit here. Speaker 2: And go bad. Speaker 2: We can't have that. Speaker 5: Exactly. Speaker 5: So kids, we're going to divide and conquer. Speaker 5: You take this card. Speaker 2: It's like a conversation between us, like a close up, and then the camera zooms out. Speaker 2: And they're just like they're turning to them. Speaker 2: All right.

Get your little mitts over here. Speaker 1: I genuinely think the two people who would be shocked by that are Vetti and aura. Speaker 1: It's like, but the last thing they expected you to say is like, all right, let's get looting. Speaker 1: Let's just take everything we can carry. Speaker 1: It's like, oh, that's cool. Speaker 3: Oh, okay. Speaker 3: I don't trick or treating. Speaker 1: It's like, so far. Speaker 1: It's been about restraint. Speaker 1: And it's like, oh, yeah, but this stuff. Speaker 1: Like, they weren't there for all the let's rob a shopkeeper stuff.

Speaker 1: They were, they're there for responsible for us. Speaker 4: I mean, there's this whole new world that we live in that I'm sure. Speaker 4: I mean, it's frozen out there. Speaker 4: There's a lot of scavengering that just probably just the normal way of life. Speaker 4: It's just like, they're not going to need this anymore. Speaker 4: My boots. Speaker 2: Yeah. Speaker 2: For sure. Speaker 2: Don't buy anything, right? Speaker 5: Yes. Speaker 2: By nothing. Speaker 2: By nothing. Thank you. Speaker 6: That's what it was. Yeah. Speaker 6: This is our by nothing group.

Speaker 2: They just happen to be all dead. Speaker 5: Yeah, right. Speaker 5: But I think the only thing stopping us was before is because it'll look like a ritual was performed here. Speaker 5: So we're like, oh, is this all curse? Let's not touch it. Speaker 5: But now it's confirmed not cursed. Speaker 1: So let's touch it all. Speaker 1: So there are eight items here. Speaker 1: So here's what we're going to do. Speaker 1: Let's start with Susan because Susan was the most excited about getting free junk. Speaker 1: Yes. Speaker 1: Oh, it's junk?

Speaker 1: No, no, no, no, no, no. Speaker 1: Just free stuff. Speaker 1: And so there's this, this, this, this is all over the map. Speaker 1: There's some, there's some really sweet stuff in here. Speaker 1: And then there's some, it's like, oh, here's booze, here's that. Speaker 1: you know, that type of thing. Speaker 1: Can you give me a D8? Speaker 7: Yes, I can. Speaker 7: Maybe. Yes. Okay. Speaker 7: How about a seven. Speaker 1: Ooh, interesting. Speaker 1: Oh, I have to roll. Speaker 1: No, never mind. I have to roll it for you to get it.

Speaker 6: So that's okay. Speaker 1: Okay. Okay. Speaker 1: So let's start with the gossip earring. Speaker 1: The gossip earring is a neat little... Speaker 1: This is more gimmick than anything, but in cities. Speaker 1: And honestly, this speaks to two party members. Speaker 1: One of them, an NPC and one of them's in. Speaker 1: Like... Speaker 1: I'm leaning in. I'm leaning in. Speaker 1: The days of wondering with the socialites across the room are chatting about have come to an end. Speaker 1: This brass earring is sculpted into the shape of Speaker 1: of whispering maidens.

Speaker 1: Whenever a creature says your name, Speaker 1: while within a hundred feet, the earring activates, Speaker 1: transmitting the creature's words as a hushed whisper into your ears Speaker 1: until it has gone at least one minute without saying your name. Speaker 2: Oh, that's cool. That is good. Speaker 5: Nightingale will find this. Look at it. Speaker 5: Close the box that the earrings in. Speaker 5: Come here, catch. Speaker 5: Throw it to them. Speaker 2: Oh, jewelry. Speaker 2: You know my style. Speaker 5: My ears aren't pierced.

Speaker 5: We can fix that. Speaker 1: There are so many sharp objects. Speaker 1: We could get this done now. Speaker 5: She can do it to herself. Speaker 1: Honestly, there's a Speaker 1: there's obviously you're going to find some gold, you're going to find booze and just things that, Speaker 6: like there's rations, there's all kinds of stuff. Speaker 1: But there's a few potions. Speaker 1: We'll get to that. Speaker 1: These are more exotic. Speaker 1: This isn't like the general, because a lot of the general like healing potion stuff, Speaker 1: that's just brood in town.

Speaker 1: When you're shipping away for something and someone has to carry it out in this environment, Speaker 1: It's probably worth money, which is why caravans have to have so much protection now. Speaker 1: Because it's not even a guess whether or not someone's carrying something that is worth stealing. Speaker 1: Jasper. Speaker 1: Yep. Speaker 1: Give me a D-8, please. Speaker 6: I'll do it. Speaker 1: I'll do it. Speaker 1: All right. Speaker 1: That's a two. Speaker 1: Oh, here's an interesting one. Speaker 1: Contract of the indentured servant.

Speaker 1: Interesting. Speaker 1: Necromancers occasionally act as apparent benefactors, offering loans to victims in exchange for services after death. Speaker 1: This contract details an account of a spirit that has become indentured to the contract's holder. Speaker 1: While holding the contract, you can speak the command word as an action to summon the invisible undead spirit, Speaker 1: which functions as the... Speaker 1: the spell unseen servant. Speaker 1: You can't do this again until you finish a long rest. Speaker 1: So this is essentially you going, I have summoned you to fulfill your oath.

Speaker 1: This is like a one time, it's like, hey, I'm calling you in. Speaker 1: Like I, you know, help me. Speaker 1: And it's ghost shit, which is perfect. Speaker 1: Oh. Speaker 1: Yeah. Speaker 4: We're going to, we're going to flavor all of this. Speaker 4: Okay. Speaker 4: So. Speaker 4: Okay. Speaker 4: This is good. Speaker 4: I'd like to think of this. Speaker 4: It's like some sort of. Speaker 4: docket, little parchment or something like that. Speaker 4: She kind of unfolds, unrolls, and kind of reads it a few times and kind of Speaker 4: and just ends up just shoving in a pocket for now.

Speaker 4: She's just going to mull on that for a little bit, trying to figure out what the hell does. Speaker 4: Just kind of let it, let it roll around in her head a little bit. Speaker 8: So you guys stumble back into camp, see us looting and just start looting with us. Speaker 4: I think Ruby would, you'd hear Ruby because of her boots or something, probably, but she'd come back. Speaker 4: And who's holding the lockbox, by the way? Speaker 3: I think you have it. Speaker 4: Probably Ruby's got in her hands. Speaker 4: She's going to have this shimmering, slightly magical cube that she's carrying.

Speaker 4: And it looks very intricate, a little bit more deliberate than it should be. Speaker 4: And she's going to kind of bound up to everybody. Speaker 4: And instead of even mentioning the cube or anything, she's going to be, oh, my God. Speaker 4: You found booze. Speaker 4: She's going to put it down Speaker 4: and just pick it up and just look at it. Speaker 4: Just like she's really interested in it. Speaker 1: Ian, can I have chimera give me a wisdom saving throw, please? Speaker 2: Yeah. Speaker 2: I'm wondering why, but Speaker 2: this should be okay, though.

Speaker 1: Because when the wisdom is 16. Speaker 1: Yeah. Speaker 1: So you're going to notice that the second these guys come back, Speaker 1: Kolkhoff, you're going to feel his fingers like dance up your back Speaker 1: and almost kind of like dig his nails in just a little bit. Speaker 1: And the only reacts this way when he's excited about something or afraid of something. Speaker 1: But it has to be like equal measure. Speaker 1: Like it's got to be something interesting enough that it's like, whoa. Speaker 1: Whoa, okay. So it's like you're getting that right away.

The second they walk back into camp. Speaker 2: Oh, gotcha. Oh, so yeah, I think you can like like see chimera. He has sort of like a physical reaction to this too, Speaker 2: because it's like those fingers are coming in and like claws digging in and it's like, oh, oh, good, you found it. Speaker 4: Wonderful. That's lovely. Speaker 4: You got some ants in your pants there, buddy. Speaker 2: No, as much as I would like that. Speaker 2: Just my friend. Speaker 4: Well, I don't want to go too far before we go down the whole looting list, but she'll have a couple of things.

Speaker 2: There's time, baby. Speaker 4: I think she would, she's in tune with Camero and Speaker 4: Cole Gough and just always kind of tracking that whole thing. Speaker 4: So she'd say, oh, oh, she put the booze down. Speaker 4: She'll pick up the little box or the ish, small ish box. Speaker 4: Is it this? Speaker 4: And then she'll kind of push it toward you. Speaker 4: She's not trying to rally you up. Speaker 4: She's trying to see if that makes Cole Gough. Speaker 2: Oh, yeah. Speaker 2: That's cool. Speaker 4: I like how a magnet, you know, kind of pushes back on another magnet.

Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, I love that. Speaker 2: Yeah. Do I get like a clearer sense of if it's oh good. Okay. Yeah. Speaker 1: Yes. Yeah. Yeah. Actually, what's going to happen is instantly just those nails like let go and he kind of proceeds. Speaker 1: Like you're not going to feel his presence like that. Again. He's reacting, but it seems more fear than anything. Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Um, oh, he didn't like that. Speaker 4: Oh. She's going to kind of look like she's looking over your shoulder. Speaker 4: Like he's behind there somewhere. And she's going to say, okay, well, shouty, let us know what you think.

Speaker 4: And then she'll, she's just going to ignore it for now. Speaker 4: She's not done with this. This is important to her, this whole box thing. Speaker 4: But she's going to file that away for a minute. Speaker 4: As everybody's kind of looting and catching up and all of that. Speaker 3: Jameson, you want to give me a D8? Speaker 3: Yeah, can be a D12. Speaker 5: Only a 1-3-8. Speaker 5: How about a D-9? Speaker 1: That's a six. Speaker 1: Oh, this is interesting for you to find. Speaker 1: Okay. Speaker 1: The glove of swift return. Speaker 1: While you are attuned to, Speaker 1: and wearing this crimson glove, Speaker 1: any weapon you throw returns to your gloved hand Speaker 1: immediately after it hits or misses the target.

Speaker 1: We have a boomerang, by the way. Speaker 1: I think that's almost a boomerang. Speaker 1: That's supposed to come back. Speaker 1: Now you can just have a stick. Speaker 3: Would it work on a shield. Speaker 4: Oh, my God. Speaker 3: Oh. Speaker 3: Can I Captain America this shit? Speaker 1: Honestly. Speaker 3: Oh, my God. Speaker 3: Yes. Speaker 3: Let's work that out. Speaker 1: Here's the thing. Speaker 1: I would argue any shield that heavy would have to be, like, your strength score would have Speaker 1: to back that up. Speaker 1: And that would be a weapon.

Speaker 3: That's... Speaker 3: I have an 18, I think. Speaker 3: It would... Speaker 1: That's what I'm saying. Speaker 3: I know. Speaker 3: I know. Speaker 1: Otherwise, you wouldn't be using that shield. Speaker 1: Well, right. Speaker 3: Yeah. Speaker 3: Otherwise, it wouldn't be worth slowing me down as much. Speaker 3: much as it does, but if I can throw it at somebody. Speaker 3: Even if I could throw this thing like five feet and just get it back, I think just for the Speaker 3: flex alone. Speaker 3: I think. Speaker 1: Hold that thought.

Speaker 1: We're going to get through this list. Speaker 1: And I'm going to give you rules for that because that's too fucking cool. Speaker 4: Not to right. Speaker 1: Like, come on. Speaker 4: We can always flavor that a little bit like it's been a little bit of an engineering Speaker 4: hack too. Speaker 4: If it's helpful. Speaker 3: Well, yeah, that's a late-night argument. Speaker 3: I'm not cutting a piece off of the shield. Speaker 3: Unless I can throw it. Speaker 3: Just put a groove. Speaker 4: All I need is a groove on the side. Speaker 4: I don't need you to cut it.

Speaker 4: Fine. Speaker 4: Forget it. Speaker 2: In. Speaker 2: D8, please. Speaker 2: You got it. Speaker 1: Oh. Speaker 1: Five on the die. Speaker 1: Here's an easy one. Speaker 1: Explosive arrows plus one. Speaker 1: Oh, yeah. Speaker 1: The first word is explosive. Speaker 1: An attack made with the explosive ammunition cannot benefit from the expertise die Speaker 1: and can only hit targets within its normal range, but on a hit, it deals an extra 1D6 thunder damage. Speaker 1: Cool. Speaker 1: Nice to have. Speaker 2: Nice to have. Speaker 2: Do we just get one of those or do we get like a little bundle of those?

Speaker 2: How many is that? Speaker 2: Oh, it's a bundle of 20. Speaker 2: Oh, 20. Speaker 2: Oh, 20. Gotcha. Speaker 2: Yeah. Speaker 1: I would just have. Speaker 1: Just give you one arrow. Speaker 6: That's cool. Speaker 4: That's going to come in handy at a time when we do not realize it's going to come in handy until Speaker 4: aha. Speaker 6: Yeah. Speaker 4: Yeah. Speaker 1: Do you guys want to go through again or you want the kids to each roll? Speaker 1: We should let the kids roll. Speaker 3: I mean, it feels like we're going to Yankee swap everything anyway, right, to get it to who.

Speaker 1: Yeah. Speaker 3: I think so. Speaker 3: We can let the kids roll. Speaker 3: I'm fine with them. Speaker 1: Just for like. Speaker 3: Yeah. Speaker 1: All right. Speaker 1: All right. Speaker 1: See what or if it's. Speaker 1: Oh, man. Or it cannot use this. Speaker 1: So you're going to see her like pulling and like it's tangled up in some other stuff. Speaker 1: But she gets to a point where she just leans against it. Speaker 1: It's like, found this. Speaker 1: Like she cannot get it out. Speaker 1: It is dwarven plate made of stone plus two.

Speaker 1: I'm sorry, what? Speaker 1: I wonder who's going to wear it. Speaker 1: Magic armor that has fended off an attack by a legendary monster of CR17 plus. Speaker 3: Dang. Speaker 3: So Logrin is discussing this glove with Ruby. Speaker 3: And then Orr calls attention to this armor. Speaker 3: And he looks up and he goes, what the hell? Speaker 3: And he just like drops everything. Speaker 3: And he's just going to like trundle over there. Speaker 3: Let me see that. Speaker 1: And I like, yeah, this is the, the keywords fortified and weighty.

Speaker 5: Does it slow him down more? Speaker 2: Speed does drop to 15, 15, 3. Speaker 1: So it's 110 pounds of armor. Speaker 1: Okay. Speaker 3: What am I wearing? Speaker 3: Let me just see how much armor. Speaker 3: Wait, I'm carrying now. Speaker 3: It's not light. Speaker 3: It's not light. Speaker 3: Your minimum strength has to be seven. Speaker 3: Okay, I can't remember. Speaker 1: And the AC formula is 19 plus 2. Speaker 1: Wow. Speaker 1: So what you lack in mobility, Speaker 1: you more than make up for in indestructibility. Speaker 2: Basically.

Speaker 2: Stone fortress right there. Speaker 2: Seriously. Speaker 4: With that shield? Speaker 4: Could you meant? Speaker 4: It's like all of a sudden, he plants that shield, Speaker 4: and it's almost like he blends in and just becomes a boulder. Speaker 1: Just like a big big huge rock standing there. Speaker 1: It's just the rock monster from never ending stories. Speaker 4: I was thinking the same thing. Speaker 1: The baby, the kid on the on the one on the motorcycle. Speaker 1: Freehats that one so fucking bunch. Speaker 4: I know. Speaker 4: It's kind of, yeah.

Speaker 1: Oh. Speaker 3: Yeah. Speaker 3: Loggerine is going to be like nobody. Speaker 3: There's going to fit anybody else. Speaker 1: Yeah. Speaker 3: Yeah. Back up, back up. Speaker 6: Yeah. Speaker 6: Here we get away from it. Speaker 6: Yeah. Speaker 3: Jesus. Speaker 3: Not to drag things down too much, but he wants to, he wants to look for like a maker's mark on it. Speaker 3: Like, is there a Dwarven crest or something? Speaker 1: Yeah, of course there has to be. Speaker 1: Like, okay. Speaker 3: Well, that's what he's thinking. Speaker 3: There must be.

Speaker 1: So the only way you would know that this thing withstood and attack, first of all, Speaker 1: it's got to be. Speaker 1: There's got to be some kind of like scarring to it or something like that. Speaker 1: Like, like this is, this was. Speaker 1: enveloped in dragon fire or something. Speaker 1: So it almost has its own styling to it where the armor's not hurt or affected. Speaker 1: It's just, it's like, oh, man, it's got a nice patina to it. Speaker 3: You know what it is? Speaker 3: You know how sometimes like Stone has like that pink green shine to it?

Speaker 5: You know what I mean? Speaker 5: Like the luminescent kind of thing to it. Speaker 5: It's when you acid dip it. Speaker 5: So when it has a reaction that makes it have like a duo chrome to it. Speaker 3: Yeah. Speaker 5: That's all I was thinking. Speaker 5: Okay. Speaker 4: Sorry, I was excited because my brain is pretty. Speaker 5: brain was right there with me. Speaker 4: This is clan duochrome. Speaker 3: It's actually not paint. Speaker 3: It's a wrap you can get on your. Speaker 3: Oh. Speaker 3: Nice. Speaker 1: Comes in a loopbox, but you know, it's a good drop.

Speaker 1: So there's kind of an eccentric clan of dwarves. Speaker 1: That they weren't really about the political. Speaker 1: goings on. Speaker 1: They just wanted to make cool stuff. Speaker 1: And that's where stuff like this comes. Speaker 1: It's like, well, what if we just made the armor out of stone? Speaker 1: Totally high. Speaker 4: All the time. Speaker 1: Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, listen, listen. Speaker 1: Wait, wait, I'm going to blow your mind. Speaker 1: What if? Speaker 1: And you just look around the walls. Speaker 1: What if we did?

Speaker 1: What if the walls? Speaker 6: What are the armor? Speaker 1: Yeah. Speaker 1: Yeah. Speaker 1: So they're called the thunder. Speaker 1: Thunderbeards. Speaker 1: All right. Speaker 1: And they are, they are very much artists, but, but dwarven artists. Speaker 1: So like, it's all about making stuff with it. Speaker 1: But, but it's, it's very niche products that like, so this would retail for about 96,000 gold. Speaker 1: Yeah. Speaker 1: So someone bought this. Speaker 1: A new plan. Speaker 3: My armor's fine. Speaker 3: Yeah. Speaker 1: There's only two kinds of people who would buy this.

Speaker 1: And that's like a collector or a very well-off adventurer. Speaker 6: A very strong one too. Speaker 6: Wow. Speaker 6: Yeah. Speaker 1: Because you think because it's like it's that's so niche. Speaker 2: It's like it's almost doesn't do anyone any good in an environment like this. Speaker 1: You know, like no. Speaker 1: But again, it's that they're not. Speaker 1: Again, like it. Speaker 1: There may be some credence to the rumors that they're always high because this wasn't about, Speaker 1: it's this is about coulda, not shoulda, right?

Speaker 3: Like it's, can we do this? Speaker 3: Yeah. Speaker 3: Sure. Speaker 3: It's like a symbiotic relationship with the crabborns too because like Craigborns aren't Speaker 3: going to make something like this, but they are damn glad that the Thunderbeards will. Speaker 3: Right. Speaker 1: It's like, well, I wasn't going to spend the time doing that, but it's pretty fucking cool. Speaker 1: like I'm not. Speaker 3: It's probably an idea you shit on on the paper stage. Speaker 3: They keep making weird shit and we'll keep getting all the contract work.

Speaker 3: So yeah. Speaker 3: Right. Speaker 1: You should on the paper stage and then you see it airbrushed on the side of a van. Speaker 1: You're like, all right, fine. Speaker 3: Well, that's the thing like the younger Craigborns talk shit about it. Speaker 3: But the older guys are like, now, wait, though. Speaker 3: What do you see? Speaker 6: You understand. Speaker 1: Chester came to me with an idea once. Speaker 1: I didn't. Speaker 1: I just, just watch. Speaker 1: Just watch. Speaker 1: Just watch. Just wait and see what he does. Speaker 1: 110 pound armor.

Speaker 1: God. All right. Let's see what Vennie finds. Speaker 1: Okay, just the nearest thing to that. Speaker 1: Oh, wow. Okay. Speaker 1: The Mind Blade. Speaker 1: This item appears to be a dagger hilt. Speaker 1: While grasping the hilt, you can use a Speaker 1: a bonus action to cause a blade of purple flames to spring into existence or make the blade disappear. Speaker 1: You gain a two plus bonus to attack and damage roles made with this weapon, which deals psychic damage instead of piercing damage. Speaker 1: When a fay giant or humanoid creature is slain using this weapon for the next 1d4 plus 2 days, the resulting corpse can be possessed, such as by magic, Speaker 1: or ghost as though it were still alive.

Speaker 1: Alternatively, Speaker 1: during that time, you may expend a charge to use the dagger to animate the corpse as un-animate Speaker 1: dead. Speaker 1: With the casting time of one action, you must re-assert your control over the undead Speaker 1: creature within 24 hours using one charge or it ceases to obey your commands. Speaker 1: Oh. Speaker 1: It's just weird. Speaker 1: Yeah. Speaker 1: Yeah. Speaker 1: Like, it's very sharp and very cool, and it's very cool, and it's Speaker 1: It's like, yeah, and it does a bunch of other stuff.

Speaker 1: I'm more interested in the stabbing. Speaker 4: But you could kill something humanoid, and then you could control it for a little while. Speaker 1: This is, so I think vetty finding this, there's probably, since this is a, like, this has got to be like a verified merchant, right? Speaker 1: And they're selling, they're selling stuff with, yes. Speaker 1: Yeah. Speaker 6: Did you see and or? Speaker 6: Have you seen Andor? Speaker 1: This is, this is. Speaker 1: It all comes with like certificates of authenticity and stuff like that. Speaker 1: It's like, no, no, no, a dragon breath fire on this.

Speaker 1: You could see on here. Speaker 1: Very heavy. Speaker 1: Sparred, no expense. Speaker 1: But like reading this stuff up, I think she'd be honing in on it's like, oh, man, Speaker 1: and just like just playing with the blade for it's like, it's like, this is so cool. Speaker 1: And then the other stuff about possessing a corpse and all this. Speaker 1: She's like, Speaker 1: Just, just. Speaker 1: Maybe. Speaker 1: And puts it back in the thing and closes it. Speaker 1: But, you know, just the purple. Speaker 1: It's like, that's really cool.

Speaker 1: I don't want to accidentally make corpse babies that follow me around, you know? Speaker 1: Baz is going to find. Speaker 1: Oh. Speaker 1: This is turning out to be a very, um, Speaker 1: A very strength-based loot encounter. Speaker 7: Okay. Speaker 1: So Baz is going to pull out this large, two-handed hammer. Speaker 1: Big chunky stone, and it's called Doorbreaker. Speaker 1: The head of this magic mall is shaped like an adamantine fist. Speaker 1: You gain a plus two bonus. Speaker 1: to attack and damage rolls made with this weapon.

Speaker 1: When you hit an object or construct while wielding Doorbreaker, Speaker 1: the hit is treated as a critical hit. Speaker 1: Doorbreaker has three charges. Speaker 1: When you attack or touch a portal, sealed with an arcane lock, Speaker 1: you could expend one charge to cast knock on the portal. Speaker 1: Doorbreaker regains one day, three charges each dawn. Speaker 1: Nice. Speaker 5: We're talking about some portals. Speaker 1: Yeah. Speaker 1: More weird than anything. Speaker 1: But it's like, oh, cool. Speaker 1: Oh, God. Speaker 1: So, Chet is going to find the lone potion sitting here.

Speaker 1: And it's a, it's a large, it's almost like a big decanter of fine wine. Speaker 1: But there is a swirling, like, roiling red liquid in there. Speaker 1: And the side of the bottle is emblazoned. Speaker 1: with a logo of flames kind of licking the side of it. Speaker 1: And this is called Alchemist's Dragon. Speaker 1: You've heard of Alchemist fire. Speaker 1: Yeah. Speaker 1: This weapon can use an action to spray Alchemist's fire in a 60-foot comb. Speaker 1: Creatures in the area must make a dexterity save. Speaker 1: And on a failed save, they take 10D6 fire damage and begin taking ongoing fire damage Speaker 1: as if they were hit by Alchemist's fire.

Speaker 1: And each shot uses five flasks worth of alchemist fire as ammunition. Speaker 1: Wow. Speaker 1: Chet got this? Speaker 1: Chet got this, yes. Speaker 1: That's not really his style. Speaker 1: So I think everyone kind of picked up something. Speaker 1: It's like, oh, and we're just going to do the Christmas exchange thing. Speaker 6: It's like, wait, this was definitely, yeah. Speaker 1: That he would definitely hand the Knight of the Mind Blade things like, Speaker 1: I don't think I want this, but it's really neat. Speaker 1: Watch.

Speaker 1: Just kind of take it out of thing. Speaker 4: Just playing with the fire. Speaker 4: It's like a fidget more than anything. Speaker 4: Yeah. Speaker 4: She's going to do that thing where she's like a switch blade for rows. Speaker 9: Carefully takes it. Speaker 9: Oh, okay. Okay. Speaker 9: Please don't for her while I'm reaching for it. Speaker 3: Yeah. Speaker 3: Yes. Speaker 3: Yeah. Speaker 3: If Lagerin has lost interest in this glove, somebody else can have the glove. Speaker 4: Ruby caught it before you dropped it to the ground.

Speaker 4: She'd like swooped underneath it. Speaker 4: And she's just been kind of honing in on it, not out of even interest of keeping it, Speaker 4: but just figure out how the hell it works. Speaker 1: Yeah, not all loot drops are going to be even. Speaker 1: And this one seemed very logren heavy. Speaker 1: Like this was easily three or four of these could have been for you. Speaker 1: It was like it. Speaker 5: And I mean, later, doesn't have to be right now role player or anything. Speaker 5: Just like, I think maybe Vetti could use the glove because she uses daggers.

Speaker 6: Maybe she'd do throwing daggers. Speaker 5: But later when we're sitting down and we're sorting through everything. Speaker 4: But unless you have a Ruby use for it. Speaker 4: No. Speaker 4: I mean, Ruby's got her ranged weapon stuff anyway. Speaker 6: So she's not. Speaker 4: And otherwise, she's just all about her fists. Speaker 4: So, no, she's trying to figure out how to make. Speaker 4: it would probably be a perfect reason later that she'd be like, check this out. Speaker 4: Whoever's closest to find. It's like a vet. Here, put this on.

All right, now take that Speaker 4: and now. Okay, now. All right, there you go. And then all this in the dagger's bat, right? Speaker 4: She's like, okay, got it. That's yours. That's yours. Speaker 4: Oh. Speaker 1: Chip would be a little disappointed. He didn't find anything real cool, like the big hammer or anything. Speaker 1: It's like, oh, there's got to be another cool weapon. Speaker 1: And just, does anyone want an assload of fire? Speaker 1: I don't want to carry this phrasing. Speaker 5: Can we refit your old armor that's now on the ground, Logrin?

Speaker 3: He's changing right now. Speaker 3: Look. Speaker 3: Please look. Speaker 5: Maybe. Speaker 3: It's part of it. Speaker 3: My strength is 18. I look great. Speaker 5: Children. Children. Speaker 5: Turn around. Speaker 3: Yeah, that's true. Speaker 6: Remember, it's very cold. Speaker 3: Beard covers are almost everything anyway. Speaker 5: I mean, maybe chat. I don't know. Speaker 5: You're four feet, something. Speaker 5: But maybe like the straps could be loose. Speaker 5: loosened in chat, but have scale mail. Speaker 3: Yeah, we might have to take it to get refitted, but I'm fine with passing down the armor to Speaker 3: Chet.

Speaker 3: He gets Tammy down. Speaker 5: Everybody else gets cool new shit. Speaker 3: Yeah. Speaker 3: He's the youngest sibling of the group is what it is. Speaker 1: Yeah, that's definitely. Speaker 1: Like, he's not going to raise a stink because, like, he's still, he's still kind of Speaker 1: of heart of himself from before. Speaker 1: But it's like, oh, man, like, everyone got something real cool. Speaker 1: You were getting razor blade boomerangs and all kinds of stuff. Speaker 1: But okay. Speaker 1: So Ruby Logren, are you guys filling in the gang about the box and the wax sealed Speaker 1: envelope and the trail going cold and like, yeah, what?

Speaker 3: Yeah. Speaker 1: So, yeah, we follow the guy for an hour. Speaker 3: We found him. Speaker 3: He's dead. Speaker 3: for us to death. Speaker 3: We've got this box. Speaker 4: I'm not saying it's cursed. Speaker 4: I'm just saying it feels cursed in like a flirty way. Speaker 4: Like it's just like, I don't know. Speaker 4: Look at that shimmer. Speaker 4: Look at that. Speaker 4: She's all excited about how this thing looks. Speaker 4: And she kind of once again kind of pushes it towards Speaker 4: chimera just to see what chimera does.

Speaker 4: It's, again, this is not against chimera. Speaker 4: This is just a... Speaker 2: Yeah. Speaker 2: Well, whatever is in it, Colga shrunk away. Speaker 2: It's not something he wants any part of. Speaker 2: And that means that whatever is in that box is evil, bad. Speaker 2: Or blessed. Speaker 4: It sounds to me like if he doesn't like it, it makes me want to open an even more. Speaker 4: Honestly, I mean, I'm just saying it could be more of a boom. Speaker 4: been a bust, I don't know. Speaker 2: I mean, it's being sought after by some incredibly awful people.

Speaker 2: We've seen what their aftermath is. Speaker 2: To point to all the bodies in cast, all of this. Speaker 2: Whatever is in it, it can't be good. Speaker 5: I mean, in my experience, creatures of hell typically, Speaker 5: seek out and try to destroy Speaker 5: items of Speaker 5: heavenly persuasion? Speaker 5: And if Colgoth is afraid of this? Speaker 2: Yeah, but Speaker 2: even with demons, it's not Speaker 2: necessarily that they're Speaker 2: trying to destroy everything that's Speaker 2: good or anything like that.

Speaker 2: I mean, if something has Speaker 2: great power, like great power Speaker 2: that can destroy things, Speaker 2: it's not necessarily good or evil. Speaker 2: It's just a huge thing. That's terrible. A terrible thing. Speaker 5: Nothing against you, Chimera, but personally, I would love to see whatever Colgoth is afraid of. Speaker 4: All right. Well, pop it open. Speaker 4: If we even can. I mean, look at that shimmer. That's not even magic. That's that. That's intention. That's like, it's just daring us to do something with it. It's got bad idea written all over, which is why we have to open it.

Speaker 3: The Lager was nodding along. Speaker 1: That's sound reasoning. You're right. Speaker 1: That is yes. Speaker 1: No. Speaker 3: Lugner was nodding along until she came to that conclusion. Speaker 3: And it was like, no, no. Speaker 3: That was no. Speaker 3: I might just be misremembering this from the last time we played. Speaker 3: Are there any markings? Speaker 3: Like, is there any writing? Speaker 3: Is there any kind of symbolism on the outside of the box that we could try to read or interpret? Speaker 1: The box is pretty blank.

Speaker 1: And it's intentionally. Speaker 1: So you get the feeling. Speaker 1: Like it's supposed to be nondescript. Speaker 1: The shimmer thing is the only thing about it that would stick out. Speaker 1: It's almost like video games that highlight objects that are lootable in a room. Speaker 1: You walk in, you use your bat vision. Speaker 1: It's like, oh, look at that. Speaker 1: Like, you know, that kind of thing. Speaker 2: And maybe it's not meant to keep us out of it. Speaker 2: Maybe this whole thing is meant to keep something. Speaker 2: inside.

Speaker 4: Fair enough. Speaker 4: Ruby's looking at Lagrin the whole time because she knows that she's on this side of the Speaker 4: argument and she knows what Lagrin's saying and Logren is on the other side and she Speaker 4: knows that's probably right. Speaker 4: Well, look, I don't want anything like this and she's going to gesture around to happen again, Speaker 4: especially to us. Speaker 4: We got a little ways to go and I thought we were going to be, you know, well, safety and numbers. Speaker 4: and all that. Speaker 4: But maybe we don't need to open it right now.

Speaker 4: She's going to look at Lagrin as she says this. Speaker 4: But we need to keep it. Speaker 4: I mean, who knows? Speaker 4: If this is the key to something that you didn't even know you needed. Speaker 3: So Logren will take a good few seconds to just kind of like look at Ruby, Speaker 3: not a glare, not a stare, just kind of like. Speaker 3: You ever, I don't know if you guys know anybody who does this, Speaker 3: but like they're thinking, but they just kind of. Speaker 3: kind of look at you while they're thinking. Speaker 3: There's nothing about it that's necessarily indicative of what they're thinking, Speaker 3: but they just kind of look.

Speaker 3: So that's what he does. Speaker 3: And then he looks at Camara. Speaker 3: Can you do magic at it? Speaker 3: Can you figure it out? Speaker 2: Yes. Let me take a look. Speaker 2: Baz, bring that big old hammer over here, too. Speaker 2: We may need that. Speaker 2: And that's just delightful. Speaker 1: by the way. This is the first time where... Speaker 1: Honestly, Baz is kind of having a revelation and you could almost see it. Speaker 1: So he's holding this hammer and someone somewhere along the way started training this boy as a monk or an adept.

Speaker 1: And it hasn't been a fit. Speaker 1: Like, it's just not... Speaker 6: It's not clicking. Speaker 1: Holding this hammer out of this. Speaker 1: Yeah, like, you can see him smile for the first time. Speaker 1: And instantly, he's useful. Speaker 1: Like, he just feels like, yeah. Speaker 3: And I think when he found the hammer, too, everybody was like, yeah, you keep that. Speaker 3: That makes sense. Speaker 1: Yeah. Speaker 1: Instantly. Speaker 3: Effortlessly wields it over this 20-pound hammer. Speaker 3: Yeah. Speaker 3: It's a big, big-ass hammer.

Speaker 3: He's holding it like a, like a carpenter's hammer. Speaker 3: Yeah. Speaker 3: Nine-year-old. Speaker 4: That's what we do. Speaker 4: Ruby will hand this thing over to chimera Speaker 4: gently and all she'll say is just don't bust it, okay? Speaker 2: Oh, I'll be very gentle with it. Speaker 2: I know you will. Speaker 4: I know you will. Speaker 4: So she's going to hand it over and then Speaker 4: she's going to sort of have like a little Speaker 4: brief spark and she's going to, oh right, hang on. Speaker 4: And she's going to out of one of her pocket, she's going to probably search in like 13 of them.

Speaker 4: And then on the 14th pocket, she's going to pull out this little envelope. Speaker 4: We found an envelope, right? If I remember, it's like, it's got like a blue sigil or blue. Speaker 4: Like a wax seal. Speaker 1: Yeah. Like a wax seal. Yeah. Speaker 4: Chit. Chit. Hey, um, Home Sweet home, right? Speaker 4: Right port? Speaker 1: Uh. So, not only did he not get a cool thing. Speaker 1: It's kind of a. Speaker 1: And he'll... Speaker 4: Oh, come on. Speaker 4: No, no, no. Speaker 4: Just look at it. Speaker 4: And she's going to get close to him and she's going to hold the envelope up and she's going to say, Speaker 4: does that remind you of anything at all?

Speaker 1: Yeah. Speaker 1: Yeah. Speaker 1: It's one of the families of Breitport. Speaker 4: Why? Speaker 4: Well, I'm from Breitport, too. Speaker 4: We're peeing a pod, you and me. Speaker 4: Seriously, what's this house? Speaker 4: What's the family? Speaker 1: Cornadas. Speaker 1: They're nice enough, but they're weirdos. Speaker 1: They're into all kinds of occult magic stuff, relic trading, all that. Speaker 1: Like, just, yeah, old house. Speaker 4: So Ruby will immediately then kind of not yell, but very loudly say, Speaker 4: occult magic.

Speaker 4: Okay, chimera, as you're off doing whatever you're doing. Speaker 4: Ooh. He'll, he'll, it's like, I get, they're not evil. They're just weird. That's all. Speaker 4: I'm not judging. Listen, when you're from Brightport, you can't judge anybody. Speaker 4: Well, I, where did you grow up in Brightport? Speaker 4: I was down towards the dock. Do you know where the gnomes, you know, where the gnoms, you know, the gnome's sort of, the gnome section. Speaker 4: I don't know what you would call it in Brightport, like Nome Street. Speaker 4: I feel like it.

Speaker 5: Tinker. Speaker 4: Tinker. Tinker. Tinker. Speaker 5: Tinker town. Speaker 4: Tinker Tinkertale. Speaker 4: Oh, there you go. Tinker Allie. Speaker 1: Yeah. Speaker 4: Tinker town. Speaker 1: So, okay. Speaker 1: Coming from Brightport, Speaker 1: there's a certain Speaker 1: expectation people have of you. Speaker 1: Right? You're made Speaker 1: of sterner stuff. Speaker 1: You are tough. Like, you have been, you know, Speaker 1: You know, it's a gritty place. Speaker 1: And he is very much taken advantage of that. Speaker 1: And he's very quietly.

Speaker 1: He's just, and there's a gated community. Speaker 4: Like, too, too loud. Speaker 4: She's got, oh, gated community. Speaker 4: Yeah. No, I was going. Speaker 4: I grew up on the street. Speaker 4: So, I mean, it's not like I. Speaker 4: I mean, I've been in Gavey communities. Speaker 4: I wasn't let in on them. Speaker 4: I got in there. Speaker 4: But I've been in a lot of gated communities there anyway. Speaker 4: I get it. Speaker 4: I mean, they're all really nice. Speaker 4: Again, you can't judge anybody. Speaker 4: Listen, we all, we all eat fire crust pies, don't we?

Speaker 4: You know? Speaker 1: I don't know what that is. Speaker 1: But, but, okay, look, okay. Speaker 1: Look, look. Speaker 1: Don't. Speaker 1: Technically, I'm supposed to inherit the Twin Bain House, but I don't, I didn't want it. Speaker 1: So I, you know, so it's, we grew up different, but it's, you know. Speaker 1: He doesn't have anything to say to back to that up. Speaker 4: No, no, no. I, because it's like, she, hey, listen, I'm not trying to trigger anything in you here. Speaker 4: I'm just, just trying to be friends. Speaker 4: I'll be honest with you.

Speaker 4: I don't meet a whole lot of people from Brightport as far out. Speaker 4: So anyway, I appreciate it. Speaker 4: No matter whether you're from a gated community, you're from a castle, you're from one of the houses. Speaker 4: Whether you're on the streets, we all just, you know, it's Brightport. Speaker 4: So, no worries, dude. Speaker 1: Just look, if you want to talk to them, the Coronadas, they're nice. Speaker 1: just, again, it's probably something like six people in the world have heard of or something. Speaker 1: That's all they trade in.

So, yeah, it's something weird. Speaker 4: I'm excited. Honestly, we may have to talk to them. I mean, maybe we can see what we can find out in Speaker 4: Esther Holt once we get there, which we need to get to Esther Holt. She will say a little bit too loud. Speaker 4: That's it. She's just engaging a little bit just to see if she knows anything about. Speaker 4: And actually, after that, at that point, she's going to try to see if she can even. Speaker 4: Ruby knows better. She's going to lift up the envelope and get Logrin's eye. Speaker 4: And she's going to sort of make a gesture like, I'm about to rip this open.

Speaker 4: If she can. Speaker 3: Yeah, and Langering goes, yeah, do it. Speaker 3: All right. Speaker 4: She's going to try to open this envelope. Speaker 4: I feel like it was a little bit more of a seal than just like a pop it open kind of a thing, but I might be wrong. Speaker 1: Yes. Speaker 1: Can I get an archa check from you? Speaker 1: Absolutely. Speaker 1: Sure. Speaker 1: It detonates. Speaker 4: That's it. Speaker 1: Oh, no. Speaker 1: It's an alchemist dragon. Speaker 4: Like it's that's a little place is coded in it. Speaker 6: I should say.

Speaker 4: This is not an in retrospect thing. Speaker 4: This is a very in character thing. Speaker 4: She would not have done so wantonly. Speaker 4: She would have been, she would have checked it all out just to see if she's going to like, you know, like a break a wire on it and something's going to explode. Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah. Speaker 4: All right, Arcana. Speaker 4: Here we go. Speaker 4: Oof. Speaker 5: Eight. Speaker 5: Almost a 12. Speaker 4: Okay. Speaker 1: So nine total. Speaker 1: Can I get a constitution saving throw? Speaker 4: Jesus.

Speaker 4: Oh. Speaker 4: It's coming. Speaker 4: It's coming. Speaker 4: Damn. Speaker 4: Should I do my expertise? Speaker 4: Die? Speaker 4: No, I already did it. Speaker 4: It's already done. Speaker 4: Oh, that's an eight. Speaker 4: But I do have inspiration, and I don't like where this is going already. Speaker 4: I'm sorry. Speaker 4: Oh, you know what? Speaker 4: I'm going to do inspiration. Speaker 4: I'm sorry. I don't want whatever you're sorry. It's your inspiration. I'm sorry to me because I don't want to. Speaker 4: These roles have not inspired confidence so far.

No, I don't like this. Speaker 1: We need one to get that average up. Oh, God. Speaker 1: Seven's better than six. Statistically speaking. Speaker 1: Yeah. That's a nine total. Yeah. I mean to this. Speaker 1: So this is going to do two damage to you. And what's going to happen. And what's going to happen is. Speaker 1: is you're going to go to open this. Speaker 1: And you're going to feel like this electric shock run through your fingers. Speaker 4: Yeah, the gloves are going to interact with that in some ways. Speaker 4: What? Speaker 1: It's, it's, it's, it's very like an exaggerated static shock.

Speaker 1: Like you dragged your, you know, it's not meant to hurt, hurt. Speaker 1: It's more like, get out of there. Speaker 1: Yeah. Speaker 1: Like, you know what I mean? Speaker 1: Like it's the magic equivalent of like, no, bad. Speaker 1: Like that type of thing. Speaker 4: Wow. Speaker 4: Holy hell! Speaker 4: she'll just say, and then she'll just keep opening it up. Speaker 4: It genuinely makes longer. Speaker 4: It gets a good laugh at him. Speaker 4: The number of times she's been working on something with her boots or her contraptions in the way, Speaker 4: and this has happened.

Speaker 4: She's just so like, oh, holy hell, and then just move straight on into whatever she's doing. Speaker 3: Honestly, the small electric shock is the least deterrent for Ruby. Speaker 4: It feels like. Speaker 1: Oh, I'm on the right. Speaker 1: It just means a feet. Speaker 1: If there's a feet later on, you can take. Speaker 1: that's like naturally grounded or some shit. Speaker 1: Like, just I'm used to it. Speaker 1: If you're persistent with it. Speaker 1: Yeah. Speaker 1: Give me another arcana. Speaker 4: I will do it. Speaker 4: The check's not even high is the thing.

Speaker 4: What'd you say? Speaker 5: I want you to keep, keep going. Speaker 5: Like you do it like, oh. Speaker 1: Arcana after arcana. Speaker 1: Yeah. Speaker 1: Yeah. We're shooting for 14. It's not even like... Speaker 4: Come on. You can do it? What can I do? Speaker 4: Am I near anybody? Am I near ORA? Good God. Speaker 1: You're near magic users. Speaker 1: Okay. Here's a thing. If this goes on two or three more times and it's just... Speaker 1: And just keep doing it. Yeah. You do it. Or would... Yeah. Or would walk over. Speaker 1: Oh, my God. So that's a four total.

Speaker 4: She keeps getting shocked. Speaker 4: She's like, what that? Speaker 4: I can't even. God. Speaker 4: You're going to slam it in a Chet's chest. Speaker 4: You do it. Speaker 5: Night the Ere starts laughing at this point, too. Speaker 1: Okay. Speaker 1: Orr rolls a 14 out of the gate. Speaker 1: Just. Speaker 1: Dang it. Speaker 1: So, probably, like, it's just like a reach over thing. Speaker 1: It's like, you totally loosened it and just like just pops it open for you. Speaker 4: fine she snatches it back it's not in a mean way not in a mean way but in a Speaker 4: I'm frustrated yes I am going to open this thank you anyway whatever she's gonna she is gonna Speaker 1: snatch it and then open it if you're or is existence like growing up has been like seeing Speaker 1: seeing someone's having a hard time and try to give them luck and then if they do better when she's Speaker 1: near there's a little bit of resentment there's just the time there's just the Speaker 1: I could have done it.

Like it's that you know what I mean? Speaker 1: I am the opener of stuck jars in the house. Speaker 1: And one time I worked on this thing for like 30 or 40 seconds. It got to an embarrassing amount. Speaker 1: It's like I got it. I got it's fucking like I don't I don't have that. I'm a big strong man. I need to do this. Speaker 1: But when I'll walks up right after him, it's like, Speaker 1: I legitimately the first words that I was, I looted. Speaker 1: Like it's, I couldn't, I couldn't stop them. Speaker 1: The words just spilled from my mouth.

Speaker 1: Pride. Speaker 5: You probably did loosen it. Speaker 1: You did. Speaker 1: No, that's what she said. Speaker 1: And she said it in the same tone. Speaker 1: Stop it. Speaker 1: Like, I'm a big strong man, Susan. Speaker 6: You help. Speaker 1: That's not. Speaker 1: No. Speaker 5: I know the exact tone. Speaker 3: That's a weapons grade tone. Speaker 5: That would be just to worry me. Speaker 1: It's supportive but very unsupportive at the same time. Speaker 5: You helped. Speaker 5: Thank you. Speaker 3: Oh, fuck. Speaker 3: That's where I walk into the ocean.

Speaker 10: The tones are used for... Speaker 10: It's not used for anything else. Speaker 10: Because when you're actually useful, the tone's different. Speaker 10: If I fix the car or the dishwasher, so I get a totally different tone. Speaker 6: Okay. Speaker 1: You triggered some poor guy out there. Speaker 1: I wish you to know, they're driving to work. Speaker 5: You did so. Speaker 5: a good job. Speaker 3: Honestly, somebody who never realized that it was a patronizing tone until now. Speaker 3: Oh! Speaker 3: No! Speaker 3: Wait, what? Speaker 10: Tiffany?

Speaker 10: Let's just... Speaker 10: Sorry. Speaker 10: Okay. Speaker 10: Okay. Speaker 4: So we're reading this letter. Speaker 4: Yes, please. Speaker 1: It is a very quickly scrawled note. Speaker 1: And it has the cadence of almost like a last will, almost. Speaker 1: But all it says is, to whoever finds this note, Speaker 1: please take the contents of this box and hide it as deep and dark as you can. Speaker 4: I really want to open the box. Speaker 4: Yeah. Speaker 4: Ruby. Speaker 4: So Ruby is going to read this. Speaker 4: So it's like, Speaker 4: Bzz!

Speaker 4: Holy hell! Speaker 4: Ora does her thing. Speaker 4: She snatches a back. Speaker 4: Thank you. Speaker 4: And then she goes, Speaker 4: she opens it up. Speaker 4: She opens it up. Speaker 4: She has her. Speaker 4: And then she holds it back up and puts it back in her pocket. Speaker 4: She says, Speaker 4: not really much. Speaker 4: really here to help us really. Speaker 2: Do you say what's in the box? Speaker 4: No, it was barely, it barely had any information. Speaker 4: It just said that it was a box. Speaker 4: It had stuff in it.

It doesn't say, it says to put it in a deep and dark place and leave it there forever. Speaker 4: So I don't know if that helps you figure out what it is or not and how we can open it. Speaker 1: Oh, does it not say how to open it? Speaker 4: Not yet. No, I'm reading it. I'm looking on the other side. Speaker 4: Hang on, she's going to hold it up to the moonlight. Speaker 4: No. Speaker 4: Like, again, all of this could be, she could have just walked over. Speaker 4: But it's just yelling across this caravan. Speaker 2: Oh, actually, say my name. Say my name.

Speaker 2: Okay. Speaker 4: Camero. Speaker 2: Now you can just whisper. I can hear you. Speaker 4: Oh, okay. Yeah. No, it doesn't say it. It just says to get rid of it. Speaker 4: Like 100% just get rid of it. Speaker 2: Oh, but I've got to yell to you because you can't hear me. Speaker 4: Yeah, it doesn't work. Right. Speaker 4: Maybe there's another one of those. Speaker 4: No, that's all right. I get it. I understand. Maybe we can, well, yeah, we can figure maybe we can build another one. In any case. Oh, that's a good idea. Speaker 5: I'm going to go scouting.

Speaker 1: There's what I'm going to do. I love that there is literally a slaughter here. Not that long ago. Speaker 6: Oh, we've got to be screaming. Speaker 6: It's a back. Speaker 3: I can cross a little bit in the middle of it. Speaker 1: This is the loudest. Speaker 1: the team has ever been. Speaker 4: It's probably true. Speaker 4: Ruby will eventually just kind of like, Speaker 4: she's pacing around talking to Camaro. Speaker 4: Like, no, I don't know what it is. Speaker 4: This is weird. This is really cool. Speaker 4: So you can actually hear.

Speaker 4: And at some point, she'll just be close to Lagrin. Speaker 4: And she'll just hand in the envelope and just say like, Speaker 4: I don't know. Speaker 4: I mean, whatever it is, it's important. Speaker 4: I don't think we should just get rid of it. Speaker 4: I think we should just figure out what it is. Speaker 4: Maybe not right now. Speaker 4: But in all honesty, I do want to open it. Speaker 4: I think it would be amazing. Speaker 4: But also, it could be deadly. Speaker 4: So fine, I get it. Speaker 4: Let's just get on and get to Osterholt and get out of here.

Speaker 4: But let's figure it out later. Speaker 4: But let's figure it out later. Speaker 1: Like, Baz has been feeling the weight of this hammer and just like, you know, Speaker 1: taking, not like practice swings. Speaker 1: Am I smashing this box now? Speaker 3: That's probably not the best idea. Speaker 3: Not yet. Speaker 3: We've got to figure it out. Speaker 3: Here's the thing. Speaker 3: That would be very cool. Speaker 3: But it might explode, which would also be cool. Speaker 3: But it might kill you. Speaker 3: So no. Not yet. Speaker 1: There enough.

Speaker 1: He's still keeping that hammer. Speaker 1: Like he's still like that is ready with it. Speaker 3: Yeah. Speaker 1: Yeah. Speaker 1: He's as eager to use that as Kimmerer was to use that earring. Speaker 3: Just like, oh. Speaker 3: Lagering will enlist the help of a couple people to strap down whatever we can bring with us. Speaker 3: Not just like the eight magical items we got, but also just like regular merchant goods that these guys were bringing. Speaker 3: As much as we can reasonably drag behind us on a couple of sleds. Speaker 3: Sure.

Speaker 3: Yeah. Speaker 1: Plus the booze. Speaker 1: Plus the boots. Speaker 1: You guys are going to have a choice to make. Speaker 1: But right now, you have traveling to do. Speaker 1: But Kimmer wanted a shot at the box. Speaker 1: Let's do it. Speaker 1: Could you give me an Arcana check, please? Speaker 1: It's a big one. Speaker 2: Yeah. Is this to open it? Speaker 2: If that's what you're attempting to do. Speaker 2: Uh, yeah, I wanted to see if like a simple knock spell, like with that hammer might might open it. Speaker 2: I have a suspicion it won't, but if it is just like an arcane lock, if we could just use a...

Speaker 4: Are you trying to open it or are you trying to figure out what it is? Speaker 1: Yeah, because either way, a knock just opens a lock. Speaker 1: Yeah. Speaker 2: On arcane, right? Speaker 2: Yeah. Speaker 2: Okay. Speaker 2: Well, let's try that first. Speaker 1: Let's get that hammer. Speaker 1: Just open it up. Speaker 1: All right. Speaker 1: So that means, okay, so. Speaker 1: So. Speaker 1: Well, this is going to rely on Baz's Arcana then. Speaker 1: So. Speaker 1: So. Speaker 1: For just casting a knock? Speaker 1: Yeah. Speaker 1: Because he's Speaker 1: casting it.

That the hammer's he's using the hammer. Speaker 3: Oh, I see. Yeah. You basically have to help him like guide him into how to do it. Speaker 2: Sure. Yeah. Yeah, I'll assist him with this hammer. Sure. Speaker 3: Give him some expertise. That'll give him a plus one too for my team work thing. Speaker 1: Good. That'll bring his are kind of up to plus one. Uh, so. So, Speaker 1: We're not. Speaker 1: It's a plus two. Speaker 4: I'm kind of hoping that he's not able to open this thing up as Jasper. Speaker 4: I just want to know what it is. Speaker 4: I don't know if it's okay.

Speaker 4: I don't know. Speaker 4: I'm scared. Speaker 1: We're about to find out. Speaker 1: 13's not going to do it. Speaker 1: So it's just like he's going to hold the hammer up. Speaker 1: Try to trigger this thing. Speaker 1: And you'll see the spell goes off, but it's not. Speaker 1: It just kind of like dissipates against the bottom. Speaker 2: It's not going to open it. Speaker 2: Gotcha. Speaker 2: Well, good try. Speaker 2: We have to exhaust all the options. Speaker 2: All right. Speaker 2: Camero, like, roll up his sleeves, Speaker 2: shake out his hands.

Speaker 2: And I'll go ahead and try and give it a try. Speaker 2: I'll give a shot. Speaker 2: Let's do it. Speaker 2: All right. Speaker 6: So what's going to happen? Speaker 2: I have in my notes that I have advantage on the next Speaker 2: Arcana check. Speaker 2: I forget what that was from. Speaker 2: A crit. Speaker 2: Yes. Speaker 1: Oh, yes. Speaker 1: You were checking the box. Speaker 1: And that's what. Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah. Speaker 1: Well, shit. Speaker 1: There's almost no way you can, you can fail this. Speaker 1: Right?

Speaker 10: Shut up. Speaker 10: No, don't you? Speaker 1: With your condescending tone earlier, you don't get to tell me. Speaker 5: Get out of here. Speaker 2: Okay. Speaker 2: Here we go with advantage. Let's do it. Speaker 2: There's nothing to it but to do it. Speaker 1: Oh, we'll drop that four. Take a 15 for a total of 17. Speaker 1: That will just break the barrier on this box. Speaker 2: Yes, let's go. Speaker 1: So you're going to see that that, that highlighting of the box, that that kind of just like Speaker 1: dissipate fade away. And you're going to hear the lock on the box like, Speaker 1: just a little click.

I turn to Baz and I go, thank you. Speaker 2: you loosened it. Speaker 2: No. Speaker 5: Oh. Speaker 5: Oh. Speaker 1: All right. Speaker 1: Are we you opening? Speaker 2: Well, I call everyone over. Speaker 2: I, I, I, so to say, I, I got it open. Speaker 2: It's open. Speaker 1: So let's see what's inside. Speaker 1: Got, ora and Vetti are like invested. Speaker 1: Like, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh. Speaker 1: They're just just crowding over, kind of like, okay. Speaker 2: Okay, step back because it could still be dangerous. Speaker 2: So just a little breathing, Speaker 1: room.

There's a latch there. Just undo the latch and then it'll pop open. If you just, just right there. Speaker 1: Right there. Okay. It's the obvious latch. So eager. I love it. Speaker 2: So yeah, if everyone, if everyone comes over, I pull up the obvious latch and and lift it slowly. Speaker 1: Can everyone do me favor? Give me a constitution saving throw. Speaker 1: 21. Speaker 1: Am. Speaker 1: I'm. Speaker 5: I'm gonna re-roll. Speaker 5: I got a re-roll. Speaker 2: Uh-oh. Speaker 2: I got some. Speaker 2: I got some. Speaker 2: Sevens here. Speaker 2: Kids.

Speaker 2: Stop. Speaker 2: Kid, stop. Speaker 5: World, the same damn thing. Speaker 1: All right. Well, Speaker 1: Kimira 17, Ruby 21. Speaker 1: Nobody else. Sorry. Speaker 6: Ghaner 18. Speaker 1: Oh, Jesus. Ruby 21. Speaker 1: And it's all downhill from there. Speaker 1: Vetti 7, or a 7, Locker 9, Speaker 1: Chet 5, Speaker 1: 5, 6, 9thira, Speaker 1: seven. Anybody who didn't roll a 14 or higher is going to get launched back 10 feet. Speaker 1: And you're going to take a D6 of damage, but that's mostly just from the like frozen rocks and Speaker 1: stuff like that.

More importantly, the top of this lid is just going to pop open and you're going to Speaker 1: watch what appear to be shadows just like float into the night sky, but aggressively. Not not like Speaker 1: Like, ah, like it just boom, just erupt from this box. Speaker 1: And the box itself is going to shake and then just stop and just lay there open. Speaker 1: And you can feel that while the active magic has dissipated from this box, there is still something innate inside of it that is more powerful than anything that flew out of it. Speaker 4: So Ruby was who got who was a so Khmera didn't get push back?

Speaker 5: It's just you and Kamera. Speaker 4: Okay. Speaker 4: So Camara's holding it. Speaker 4: So whatever. Speaker 4: It just happened beyond chimera. Speaker 4: Ruby was probably planted her her boots in and just sort of weathered it for a second. Speaker 4: And as soon as it goes, she's going to say, close it. Speaker 4: It. Speaker 4: Let's do it. Speaker 2: Hang on. Hang on. There's something inside still. Speaker 2: You didn't see what I saw. Speaker 2: Ruby, you opened this box. Speaker 6: I didn't open this box. Speaker 2: You started.

You started this. We're finishing it. Speaker 4: Logrin said to get the box and bring it back. Speaker 4: So I don't know. And she's going to look at Logrin. Speaker 8: Like, oh, he's over there. Speaker 8: Get off of me. You're so heavy. Speaker 4: Yeah, we're really heavy. Sorry. Speaker 8: I can't breathe. Speaker 2: Did anyone see where those shadows went? Speaker 2: We may want to keep an eye on those. Speaker 5: Shadows? What shadows? Speaker 5: Oh, my God, I can't bring it. Get off. Speaker 2: I'm rolling. Speaker 1: It sounds like a boulder. Speaker 1: Just come.

Speaker 6: It's 15 feet. Give me that. Speaker 1: There's a beat. Speaker 1: And as is going to stand up, I did not lose on that. Speaker 1: Like, just instantly. Speaker 6: That's the first time he is not. Speaker 6: I'm not culpable. Speaker 2: Did not. Speaker 2: Yeah. Speaker 2: We take a moment to make sure everyone's okay and back up. Speaker 2: And then I look in the box. Speaker 2: What's the rest in the box? Speaker 1: If there is a skull. Speaker 1: And you're trying to, look, to, look, to. Speaker 1: Look, as an adventure. Speaker 1: This ain't your first rodeo.

Speaker 1: You've seen a skull before, right? Speaker 1: They're everywhere. Speaker 1: It's like being in the warhammer universe. Speaker 1: Like, you're just going to run into it. Speaker 1: But you're trying to, it's like, okay, is this orcish? Speaker 1: Because it's slightly larger than human, it looks like. Speaker 1: But it's kind of elegant. Speaker 1: It looks a little elven. Speaker 1: Looks a little like, okay, this is. Speaker 1: However, the thing that's going to really draw your attention is one, it has no Speaker 1: bottom jaw.

Speaker 1: But there are two major fangs coming down the side of it much larger than, you know, Speaker 1: vampires that you, if you've seen vampire skulls in the past, which isn't that rare, Speaker 1: it's like, okay, that's okay. Speaker 1: And the fact that it was locked in a box, surrounded by dark shadows and magic and someone saying, Speaker 1: you should bury this. Speaker 1: It's, uh, yeah. Speaker 1: They're little guys in black looking for it. Speaker 4: Yeah. Speaker 4: So we just, we've, so the campaign's over. Speaker 4: I think we're, it was fun.

Speaker 6: We really appreciate it all of your time. Speaker 3: We've done enough damage to the world. Speaker 3: Cut over to a new group being like, what's all these fucking shadows? Speaker 1: What kind of dip shit would open a box with these things in them? Speaker 1: The only thing worse is if there was a written warning. Speaker 3: Hey, it didn't say not to open it. Speaker 5: You said put it in a deep dark cold. Speaker 3: That's true. Speaker 3: Yeah. Speaker 3: Not explicitly say to not open it before burying it. Speaker 2: You're right.

Speaker 3: We should probably make a good cup. Speaker 2: They're real eccentric. Speaker 4: Well, Ruby's going to help people up that got bowled over. Speaker 4: I think Ruby's probably very conflicted now that she's really excited about finding out what's in the box. Speaker 4: And now she's like, do we just doom all of Theria or something? Speaker 4: I don't even. Speaker 4: Huh. Speaker 4: That's my fault. Speaker 4: Is this my fault, Loggerin? Speaker 1: Long pause. Speaker 1: With that armor, I picture he's stuck on his back, like just rolling back and forth.

Speaker 3: Some of it was trying to get to his feet. Speaker 3: And then he's brushing snow out of it. Speaker 3: Maybe. Speaker 3: But it's done now. Speaker 3: To close that thing up. Speaker 3: We're not going to go chasing those things. Speaker 3: It's night. Speaker 3: And there were shadows. Speaker 3: so they're gone. Speaker 3: Now that we can do. Speaker 6: It's closed. Speaker 3: What are we going to do? Speaker 3: Unless you want to ask them to come back. Speaker 1: I'm sure you say that with a mission accomplished banner. Speaker 1: I don't know.

Speaker 1: That's a good job. Speaker 6: Let's get some sleep. Speaker 3: What are we supposed? Speaker 3: But yeah. Speaker 3: No, so he's just kind of like, Speaker 3: probably should have done that, but we did it. Speaker 3: So what was the thing up was taking that? Speaker 3: I don't know. Speaker 3: Um. Speaker 2: I'm going to take a look at it. Speaker 2: I don't want to touch it or anything, but I want to, like, see if there's anything. Speaker 2: I don't know. Speaker 6: On it, out of the ordinary writing. Speaker 2: Yeah, or something, anything like that that I could maybe like, Speaker 2: discern from it.

Speaker 1: There's no writing on the skull. Speaker 1: No markings or anything like that. Speaker 1: It looks old. Speaker 1: Like, as an adventure from time to time, you find yourself in crypts, Speaker 1: especially in a world where people loot, you know, graves and tombs and stuff like that. Speaker 1: You've seen old skulls before. Speaker 1: And usually they kind of get brittle or things. Speaker 1: or you know, broken. Speaker 1: This is remarkably intact except for the bottom jaw. Speaker 1: But it looks, like, impossibly old. Speaker 2: Can I dip in any, like, vampire lore or anything like that?

Speaker 1: You got to experience with vampire lore? Speaker 1: We can, we can. Speaker 2: No, but I have experience with lying. Speaker 2: So I feel like I can make us. Speaker 6: Sure. Speaker 6: Do you want to just make up some shit right now? Speaker 6: It's like, guys, I got it. Speaker 2: It's Harvey the vampire. Speaker 2: No, I have no training in history or anything. Speaker 2: But I do have training in. Speaker 2: I'm getting flashbacks from like group B excursions from many, many years ago. Speaker 2: Yeah. Speaker 2: And vampire fights from back then.

Speaker 1: Those are the days. Speaker 1: Can you just lean on past lives of characters? Speaker 6: Is that something? Speaker 6: Is that? Speaker 1: What skill role is that? Speaker 6: Is this anything? Speaker 1: Is it? Speaker 6: Yeah. Speaker 2: Well, barring that, then, yeah, I'll just, I'm just going to close the box. Speaker 2: Slowly walk over to Ruby and hand it to her. Speaker 4: Okay. Speaker 4: So, Ruby. Speaker 4: will take it. Speaker 4: She's got the emoji grimace on like, eh, Speaker 4: fine. Speaker 4: I guess Speaker 4: again, she's truly listless at this point.

Speaker 4: I think she's quite ambivalent. Speaker 4: Everything's gone from excitement to, Speaker 4: wait, did we just doom everybody? Speaker 4: I don't even know what this is. Speaker 4: Holy crap. Speaker 4: Maybe we should just all get some sleep. Speaker 4: Maybe this is a gruesome campsite. Speaker 4: Maybe we could just get a little bit further away. Speaker 4: Just set up for the night. Speaker 4: It's night, isn't it? Speaker 4: It's pretty late. Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Speaker 1: I figured you were going to get out of this specific place and then bed down.

Speaker 1: So everybody do me favor. Speaker 1: Give yourself a long rest. Speaker 1: My rest is got it. Speaker 1: Recover from all your envelopes. Speaker 1: Fox. Speaker 4: Right. Speaker 4: Thanks. Speaker 4: Foo. Speaker 11: Oh, shit. Speaker 11: Let me do that again. Speaker 11: I accidentally did it in Haven. Speaker 11: Not trying to be. Speaker 1: Fine. Speaker 1: Oh, good. Speaker 1: Okay. Speaker 1: Okay. Speaker 1: From this point forward, when we travel, I'm assuming, unless you're close to some kind of objective or a large point of interest, I'm assuming we're traveling three days at a clip.

Speaker 1: Kind of speed things up a little bit. You know, it kind of get it moving. That being said, I need to volunteer for traveling. Speaker 1: We're still continuing south. Speaker 5: I'll do it. Speaker 5: It's been a minute. Speaker 5: What did I get his last time? Speaker 5: I can't remember. Speaker 5: Oh, I got shot. Speaker 5: I think. Speaker 1: Well, then, I mean, we can only go host from there. Speaker 5: I mean, he was nice. Speaker 5: He turned out to be nice. Speaker 5: It's fine. Speaker 5: Yeah. Speaker 5: D-100. Speaker 4: He's probably dead now.

Speaker 4: You know, the shadows and stuff. Speaker 4: I'll think about. Speaker 4: We never met or loved. Speaker 4: I'm just assuming the very worst. Speaker 5: 73. Speaker 4: 73. Speaker 5: 70. Speaker 4: 70. Speaker 1: 73 shadows. Speaker 1: It's my favorite country song. Speaker 4: 73 shadows. Speaker 1: I'm just kidding. Speaker 1: I hate fucking country. Speaker 1: I'm just kidding. Speaker 1: 73. Speaker 1: Interesting. Speaker 1: Give me a moment. Speaker 1: I got to cue something up. Speaker 5: Vampire lords are resurrected and a 100 mile already is.

Speaker 3: Next extended rest. Speaker 3: I want speculation from everybody on what we just did. Speaker 6: Oh, it's gone. Speaker 3: I can't wait. Speaker 3: I think a lot. Speaker 3: A lot of the camp talk is like, it's probably not that bad, right? Speaker 3: Like, everybody's got a shadow. Speaker 3: It's fine. Speaker 3: They just come with, you know? Speaker 4: And then the house has opened a box, you know, with shadows in it. Speaker 2: Yeah. Speaker 2: Right. Speaker 2: The thing that the thing inside is what mattered. Speaker 2: That's, that was the most evil thing there.

Speaker 2: Which we could probably sell. Speaker 3: So, you know. Speaker 6: Really? Speaker 3: Right. Speaker 3: Yeah. Speaker 3: Absolutely. Speaker 5: If it wasn't us, some other group of idiots would have opened the box. Speaker 2: Exactly. Speaker 3: Other group of... I don't like the implication of that, but I guess... Speaker 5: I was hoping he would have made attention to that one. Speaker 3: They'd be idiots if they did it, but we did it in the smart way because we, you know... Speaker 5: Yes. Speaker 3: Because if we hit it with that hammer, then the skull would be broken and we can't sell it.

Speaker 3: Exactly. Speaker 3: Anybody else just feel that Speaker 6: I guess of win Speaker 5: I feel like the gods are disappointed in us Speaker 6: Yeah Speaker 6: I feel like our whole campaign just changed Speaker 1: You literally Speaker 1: I'm totally put all the trouble of open the envelope Speaker 1: Like yeah man bad ju-ju get rid of it Speaker 1: Well let's open this thing Speaker 1: Like not a beat like just Speaker 1: Interesting. Speaker 1: All right. Speaker 1: Let's move you guys south. Speaker 1: Two days you're going to be traveling.

Speaker 1: And you're making decent time again. Speaker 1: It could be a couple of things. Speaker 1: But the prevailing theory from everyone is that you're anxious to double-time it because Speaker 1: the faster you do that, the further you get away from that caravan. Speaker 1: And whatever, you know, shadows or whatever, I think the next morning you just start looking around. Speaker 1: Like, well, I don't see them. Speaker 2: But just holding the box open to see if they. Speaker 6: No, go back. Speaker 1: Do they come back? Speaker 1: Is it like chickens?

Speaker 1: Like, they just come back? Speaker 1: Yeah. Speaker 1: So you guys are hiking, doing your normal thing. Speaker 1: Who has a passive perception of 16 or higher? Speaker 1: That doesn't feel like this group. Maybe neither. Speaker 5: Very close, but no. Me too. Speaker 6: Yeah, very close. Speaker 1: Yeah, none of these kids. Speaker 1: Okay. Speaker 1: Suddenly, as you guys are hiking, right about the time, Speaker 1: Logrin steps on a particularly awkward piece of ice. Speaker 1: The ground beneath you is going to start to give way.

Speaker 1: And I need everyone in the party to give me a dexterity saving throw. Speaker 1: And we're shooting. Speaker 1: Oh, poor, poor Logren. Speaker 1: We're shooting. Speaker 1: No. Speaker 1: What are we shooting for? Speaker 1: Hold up. Speaker 1: Jeez. Speaker 1: At 14. Speaker 1: We're shooting for four. Speaker 1: 14. Speaker 1: Locker goes not again. Speaker 1: All right. Speaker 1: The rolls tonight have, whoa, never mind, I'll show up. Speaker 1: Oh. Speaker 5: That's what I got very lucky. Speaker 3: Jesus. Speaker 3: All right, you guys back flipping out of the way.

Speaker 1: Oh, hell. Speaker 3: Who's going with me, chat? Speaker 1: Oh, Baz has got a negative. Oh, never mind. Bass Speaker 1: Roll in 18, though. That's fine. Oh, shit. Speaker 12: With my net 20, can I push someone out of danger? Speaker 1: Hmm. Speaker 1: Yes, you can choose one person. Speaker 5: Logrin has all that armor so he could take it. Speaker 3: Yeah, push chat. Speaker 3: Logger's in the middle of explaining to chat how important it is to be aware of your surrounding. Speaker 1: Yeah, he rolled a three. Everyone, let's see, uh, Baz 19 or a 14, Vetti 15.

Speaker 1: Uh, Ruby 24, Kimmerer 17, 19, Nythier, 25. Speaker 1: So it's just you and chat. Speaker 3: So like you have a fence. Speaker 3: I was pretty close. Yeah. Speaker 3: Yeah. So what that means is he like jumps forward, hits his chest on the ice and just Speaker 3: tuffles. Speaker 3: Yeah. Speaker 5: Like Vera will probably like do that jump backwards, but she'll Speaker 5: lean forward first grab Chet by his collar and pull him back as she's jumping back. Speaker 3: Oh, you got a mom arm. Like in the in the Speaker 1: Yeah. Speaker 1: Yeah.

Speaker 1: Oh, hell. Speaker 1: So, okay. Speaker 1: Uh, hell. Speaker 1: Okay. Speaker 1: So what we're, at least no one crit failed. Speaker 1: That's a good thing. Speaker 1: You're going to take 66 bludgeoning damage as you fall 60 feet into this pit. Speaker 1: What? Speaker 1: So this is all going to... Speaker 1: A fuckload of armor is what you have. Speaker 1: Yeah, but armor does. Speaker 1: to help you just. Speaker 1: Honestly, it just increases your terminal velocity. Speaker 1: This is the one time where your AC is a detriment. Speaker 1: Honestly, if we're being real, you should probably take a couple of extra like D6s, Speaker 4: but I suppose I don't even know that.

Speaker 4: Let me take it. Speaker 4: You and I fear of falling. Speaker 1: Unless you're on the moon, there's no way. Speaker 1: that that's the same like Speaker 3: Terminal velocity is terminal velocity. Speaker 3: Fine. Speaker 3: The feather and a hammer fall at the same speed after a while. Speaker 3: Can I? Speaker 3: Can I? Speaker 3: I don't know. Speaker 3: Can I? Where is it? I can't find it. Speaker 3: Can I activate dwarven toughness to give myself temporary HP? Speaker 3: Can he just like clench up? Speaker 3: Well, he's funny. Speaker 1: I'd say 60 feet is faster than you've ever moved in further.

Speaker 3: Also shut up. Speaker 1: That's, no, I've seen. Speaker 1: That's four times your movement speed. Speaker 1: So you're like, this is too fast. Speaker 1: I'm not used to this. Speaker 1: So like, I think there'd be a panic moment where you just like. Speaker 3: He's going to pull bug. Speaker 3: This is wrong. Speaker 4: He'll be a man. Speaker 4: It's a stone roly-poly. Speaker 4: Yeah. Speaker 4: By the time. Speaker 3: All right. Speaker 4: I'm going to have to be a panic. Speaker 4: That's a good. Speaker 3: That's a screw you. Speaker 3: D10.

Speaker 3: Screet. Speaker 3: Scrutia. Speaker 3: So I get eight extra Speaker 1: hit points. Speaker 1: Okay. I'm sure that will come in handy. Speaker 1: So 6D6. Speaker 1: Looking for low rolls. Speaker 1: Eh, kind of a smattering of everything. Speaker 1: 19 damage. So you're only going to eat 8 of that. Speaker 1: So, wait, that's not right. Speaker 1: No, you're going to eat. Speaker 1: 11. Speaker 1: 11. Speaker 1: Yeah. Speaker 3: The main thing really lives in the bar. Speaker 3: Oh. Speaker 3: Oh. Speaker 3: Wow. Speaker 3: The main problem is I can't get up.

Speaker 3: Hang on. Speaker 3: Everybody's leaning over the edge of the world. Speaker 1: Yeah. Speaker 1: Heads all around. Speaker 1: I think that's the problem is like, it's like, it's like, okay, the baby fell into the well. Speaker 1: I don't know how do we like everyone kind of looks at each other's like are you okay Speaker 1: and then looks down it's like fuck I can't pull him up like what are we gonna do Speaker 3: Logger and you have to leave the armor I'll die first Speaker 4: I was gonna have Ruby say that take off your armor Speaker 4: it's not a chance in hell after all it's all it's Speaker 1: after all it's mine I shouldn't I Speaker 1: I shouldn't.

Speaker 1: Don't tempt me, Frodo. Speaker 1: I mean, the obvious thing is start tying, you know, rope together. Speaker 1: But, well, let me look around. Speaker 1: I'm down here. Speaker 1: What's going on? Speaker 1: Well, it's a, well, you know what, actually. Speaker 1: Give me. Speaker 1: Give me a D20. Speaker 1: The higher the role, the better the chance that something cool is in here. Speaker 3: I was going to say, well, can I do. Speaker 3: make a perception check, but it's zero. Speaker 3: So it's just a D20. Speaker 3: I'm just going to roll that because it's just a D20.

Speaker 1: So how about a one? Speaker 1: It is a hole. It is the holiest hole. It's deep. Speaker 1: It is a hole and it's cold. It's cold. It's cold. Speaker 3: On the shadows, wait, it's just dark. Speaker 3: It's just dark. Speaker 3: It's really dark down here. Speaker 3: All right. Speaker 3: Enough for. Speaker 6: fooling around. Speaker 6: Give me up. Speaker 3: Roll on that table. Speaker 3: Let's see what happens. Speaker 6: One for perception. Speaker 3: What do I ask? Speaker 3: Wondon. Speaker 4: Disadvantage on the next initiative role.

Speaker 4: There's a cool rock down here. Speaker 1: To be fair, I picture Lugrin landing on his feet and his knees just pop hard. Speaker 6: It's just Speaker 6: shoot across the cavern. Speaker 1: So it's just like Speaker 1: blank pain. Speaker 1: It's just blinding. Speaker 1: You know like every 10th time Speaker 1: you slam your foot into the bed frame or something, you just, it's like, Speaker 1: don't talk to me. Like you just like, you just leave your body for a minute. Speaker 1: Yeah. Speaker 1: So the group is. Speaker 1: Group's going to have to work together here.

Speaker 1: Yeah. Speaker 4: Give us a minute. Speaker 4: I mean, it's going to be a while. Speaker 4: Take your time. Speaker 1: This is 30 feet wide and 60 feet deep. Speaker 1: So, you know, the group kind of like make sure that it's not giving way anymore. Speaker 1: And then the kids are going to come up. Speaker 1: It's like, can we lift him? Speaker 1: Can we? Can we? Speaker 1: Like, if we all work together, can we lift it? Speaker 1: It's like, 450. Speaker 1: 50 pounds. Speaker 2: He's going to be... Speaker 2: Go ahead. Speaker 2: He's strong.

He's strong. Speaker 2: He can lift himself. Speaker 2: This is not the first hole if he's fallen in. Speaker 2: It's really not. Speaker 4: We've done this so many times I lost count. Speaker 4: Actually, it's going to be a little bit of his strength, a little bit of our strength, Speaker 4: and honestly just making something he can kind of hold on to. Speaker 4: Ruby's going to get busy trying to piece together everything, Speaker 4: including everything that we were dragging from the caravan. Speaker 4: like it's not the it's not just like throw a rope down it's going to be more like throw a rope with Speaker 4: knots like kind of laddery tight kind of a like a coast guard swaddle thing like you can just like Speaker 4: something like green something that's gonna you know like one one wrong at a time kind of a thing Speaker 4: like you climb and we'll pull and that'll get us there Speaker 1: So I imagine to not kerfuffle this in a D&D way.

Speaker 1: We're staking the rope down. Speaker 1: There's seven people up there. Speaker 5: Yeah, I have a grappling. Speaker 5: I got peons. Speaker 5: Oh, yeah. Speaker 5: I got a grappling hooks to secure it. Speaker 5: So if we find such protrusion, it'll hold the rope in place. Speaker 1: I genuinely thought you were going to suggest throwing the grappling hook down. Speaker 1: It's like, that's the opposite. Speaker 1: opposite of her. Speaker 1: Yes. Speaker 1: You just hear a dull thug. Speaker 3: Take a mud. Speaker 3: Oh. Speaker 5: Go ahead.

Speaker 3: Is that? Speaker 5: Yes. Speaker 5: Let me get that back. Speaker 2: How could you? Speaker 2: It's stuck in the wall. Speaker 6: I can't. I'm pulling it out. Speaker 2: It's stuck. Speaker 1: I'm whole people now. Speaker 1: Can I get an athletics. Speaker 1: from Walgren, please. Speaker 1: Yeah. Speaker 1: I'm guessing the seven of them working together. Speaker 1: Even if they all rolled ones, it's still stick. Speaker 1: Like, you're still, you know. Speaker 4: We're also not in a hurry. Speaker 4: We would be very deliberate about all of this, so I don't use.

Speaker 4: Yeah. Speaker 4: We're not pressed for time. Speaker 3: Oh. Speaker 3: I'm doing it at disadvantage because I'm exhausted from sleeping outdoors. Speaker 1: Oh. Speaker 6: Oh. Speaker 3: That's not great. Speaker 1: So we drop a night. Speaker 1: 18, take an 8 for a total of 8. Speaker 1: How are you not trained in athletics? Speaker 3: I rolled a 4 and got an 8. Speaker 3: Oh, that's worse. Speaker 3: Okay, you're right, you're right, you're right. Speaker 3: I'm not trained. Speaker 3: I'm just super strong. Speaker 1: I'm not trained.

Speaker 1: I'm just to say, even if it, yeah. Speaker 1: Well, so this is going slow. Speaker 1: Like, I'd say, with the breeze, like, you're, you're kind of climbing, Speaker 1: And then like you'll you'll push away from the wall and it's like, Speaker 1: just kind of like dangled just like, Speaker 1: but you're not feeling it. Speaker 1: It's more just like it's like it's like an action figure. Speaker 1: Just like, yeah. Speaker 1: Someone's dangling their he man in the backyard. Speaker 1: Just like. Speaker 1: But eventually, and we're talking like an hour and a half eventually.

Speaker 1: you're going to get up to the top of this and, you know, everyone's going to kind of like pull you up. Speaker 1: And there might be a moment where it's like lay flat, lay flat. Speaker 1: Like just like distribute your weight just to make sure. Speaker 3: Dragon. Speaker 3: I think everybody's just so gassed. Speaker 3: I think we're just all laying in the snow for a man anyway, right? Speaker 3: Just like, huh. Speaker 1: Yeah. Speaker 1: Whatever you were doing today, that's the day. Speaker 1: Like you're, it's like, nope. Speaker 1: That's, today was a whole day.

Speaker 1: I can't feel my arms. Speaker 3: In fact, I can't feel almost my left side. Speaker 3: I think I landed weird. Speaker 1: Come out a foot shorter. Speaker 3: He's shorter and wider. Speaker 3: God. Speaker 1: I need. Speaker 1: Okay. Speaker 1: I was going to say this. Speaker 1: Jameson, I wanted to volunteer you for a, Speaker 1: travel die roll but it seems mean now. Speaker 6: But if you're feeling up to it. Speaker 6: Yeah. Speaker 3: It's like probably what like it's the end of the day on this second day of travel and Speaker 3: Lager's are, alright, let's make camp.

Speaker 3: It's like gets up, brushes himself off. Speaker 3: Stand up hands on hips. Speaker 3: All right, good, good day, good day. Speaker 3: I'm just going to take a little walk. Speaker 3: I'll be back. Speaker 4: No, no, no, no, no, no, don't. Speaker 4: Don't, don't just sit. Speaker 3: I need to make sure. Speaker 3: I don't know. Speaker 3: All right, I'm going to see. Speaker 3: That's a good idea. Speaker 3: Let's just make camp here. Speaker 4: He's safe. Speaker 3: Let me travel by here. Speaker 3: 41. Speaker 1: 41. Speaker 1: 41.

Speaker 1: 41. Speaker 1: Oh. Speaker 1: Oh. Speaker 1: Oh. Speaker 1: Oh. Speaker 1: I need to prep something. You guys entertain yourselves. Speaker 2: Okay. I'm certainly thinking it's too trapped, Speaker 3: to be dangerous to travel just at all. Speaker 3: We should just take a town and live there. Speaker 4: Yeah. Maybe we should have stayed in Aubrey. It seems safe and warm there. Speaker 3: Right? Yeah. I'll take a little freshism if it'll keep us warm. Speaker 3: It's fine. Speaker 4: Hey, we're safe? Speaker 3: Yeah. Speaker 3: We're Americans.

Speaker 3: We know how to deal with it. Speaker 2: That's how it starts. Speaker 3: Shit. Speaker 6: We accidentally did it, guys. Speaker 6: Dr. Sol to do it. Speaker 5: So log, we don't fall asleep right away. Speaker 5: You see double? Speaker 3: I'm going to check for concussions. Speaker 6: We mean don't fall asleep. Speaker 3: That's exactly what I want to do. Speaker 5: You can have a head injury. Speaker 5: You might not wake up. Speaker 3: That sounds so bad. Speaker 5: How many shadows do you see right now? Speaker 3: Trick question. Speaker 3: They're everywhere.

Speaker 5: Now look at this school. Speaker 5: Where's it from? Speaker 5: Who is it? Speaker 3: I imagine we keep seeing like out of the corner of your eye, everybody keeps me like, Speaker 3: I thought I said. Speaker 1: Is it bad? Speaker 1: Every time the sun sets or rises. Speaker 5: Dragon or shadow? Speaker 3: Yeah. Speaker 3: Play a game of it. Speaker 3: Was that a cloud passing over the sun or the shadow's back? Speaker 3: Yeah. Speaker 3: He looks at the kids, not a word. Speaker 3: I don't want to hear about it. Speaker 2: We're close to, uh, what, what's the mineral we needed?

Speaker 2: Was it adamantine? Speaker 5: Atomantine. Speaker 2: Yeah, boy. Speaker 2: Close to that. Speaker 3: Yeah. Speaker 3: I mean, I was so I was thinking. Speaker 3: We get to Estrehold. We spend a couple days there. Maybe there's some things we can learn or maybe just rest for a couple days. Speaker 3: But then I think our next shot is to get up in the mountains and get that adamantine. Speaker 5: I was thinking of that too. Yeah. Speaker 3: Figure of land. Speaker 3: And then we can figure out what to do from there. Speaker 4: Have, here's a question for the group.

Speaker 4: Have in all of this traveling with the kids, have we let them in on Logren's plan at all? Speaker 3: Nope. Speaker 3: Nope. Speaker 4: I mean, and I'm saying not in session, I'm saying, like, philosophically, have we, has Speaker 4: it ever come up or are we just like, no, not their business. Speaker 4: It sounds like it's not their business. Speaker 3: I don't feel like it's a deliberate withholding thing. Speaker 3: I think it's just like if they haven't asked, I don't think, and Logrin at least wouldn't Speaker 3: volunteer it, not that he would forbid anybody else from talking about it, but he wouldn't Speaker 3: he's not the habit of making conversation with the plan you know yeah so I think that's Speaker 4: probably true for Ruby I mean I think it's the but the least said about it means that it's the Speaker 4: most it'll be more successful basically just get it done rather than well we all know it Speaker 3: before we're not yeah so I think that at most probably like late night sitting at Speaker 3: things like that like, all right, once we're in Esther hole for a couple days, why don't we Speaker 3: go up and see if that animantines in that mountain there?

Speaker 3: You know, that type of thing. Speaker 3: Just a little bit of logistic. Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't think they would be, obviously, they would be privy to the larger picture. Speaker 1: But even if it's a bullet point list, if the first thing is get to Esther hole, that could be Speaker 1: weeks. Speaker 1: So, you know, that, you know. Speaker 3: Yeah. Speaker 1: And for them, that's like whole plan, right? Speaker 3: That's the whole plan was to get them out of Aubrey. Speaker 3: Yeah. Speaker 1: Okay. Speaker 1: You guys are going to find a cavern to sleep in.

Speaker 1: And you're getting to the point in the map where if you were going to go, you know, dig for adamantine, Speaker 1: there is the largest deposit according to your map in a Lara, Speaker 1: coming up, but you'd have to go into the mountains. Speaker 1: So you've decided to head through the pass between the two mountain rages and go towards Speaker 1: Asterold. Speaker 1: And before you make a push to go through that pass, you go, okay, we need, we need to get out of Speaker 1: the weather. Speaker 1: So we need a cavern or something, you know, that would count as a quote unquote haven.

Speaker 1: So we could just keep warm and safe and recover. Speaker 1: You know. Speaker 1: So you're going to find this cavern and everybody is going to start, start setting up camp and stuff. Speaker 1: And after a few minutes, you're going to notice Chet's gone. Speaker 1: I need everybody. Speaker 1: First of all, who has the highest passive perception? Speaker 1: I have 14. 15 for me. Speaker 1: 15. Speaker 1: Oh, shit. Speaker 1: Okay. Speaker 1: Okay. Speaker 1: And 14 will do it. Speaker 1: So none of the kids or Logran here, you're going to hear a very delicate, feminine voice kind of echoing around in the cave.

Speaker 1: It's very, very soft. Speaker 1: And you're guessing, because you can just kind of, you can just kind of make it out. Speaker 1: And it's speaking to someone. Speaker 1: And it's, it's very kind of like guiding. Speaker 1: Like, oh, come here. Speaker 1: So it doesn't take a genus to figure out Chet's probably follow that boys. Speaker 13: Mm. Speaker 13: I contact with Ruby and Kimera and then a... Speaker 4: I mean, immediate action. Speaker 4: Immediate just like go, go, go, go, go, go run. Speaker 5: Yeah. Speaker 4: Try to find the source really.

Speaker 4: quickly. Try to find chat. Speaker 5: Even say out loud to the group. Chet's being lowered by something. Speaker 4: Go in that direction. Not having that again. Speaker 2: More sirens. Speaker 4: So just scrambling, just looking for chat. Speaker 4: And I would say probably not yelling, chat, chat, because I think it's about Speaker 4: listening to the, to the, to that voice. Speaker 4: Right. Speaker 4: Because wherever that is, is where Chet's going to be. Speaker 1: By the way, it is the 24th of Alta Orne, if that helps. Speaker 4: Thank you.

Speaker 4: Fantastic. Speaker 1: You've made really good time since the caravan. Speaker 1: It's just the proper motivation, I think. Speaker 6: Yeah, get the hell. Speaker 1: I'm sorry. Speaker 1: So if you're going to catch up to chat, and he's, he's, Speaker 1: He doesn't look like he's like zonked out. Speaker 1: It looks like he's kind of crouching and moving quietly. Speaker 1: Let's say, let's say the three of you that heard this caught up pretty quickly, right? Speaker 1: What would you say? Speaker 1: What do you, what do you try to do?

Speaker 1: Chit, chit. Speaker 3: Chet. Speaker 3: Chet. Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Speaker 3: Yeah. Speaker 3: What are you doing? Speaker 3: Shh. Speaker 3: What are you doing? Speaker 1: You hear that, right? Speaker 1: There's some girl in this cave. Speaker 1: It's definitely not a girl. Speaker 1: How do you know? Speaker 1: Do you remember the harpies? Speaker 1: They were singing. This is different. Speaker 1: This is... Speaker 1: This ain't the reason I wanted to check, but she sounds hot. Speaker 1: Chet. Speaker 3: They always do.

Speaker 1: They always do. Speaker 1: I want to create a creature. Speaker 1: It's like, hey, big boy. Speaker 3: Yeah, the rat queen, we met her. Speaker 1: Check up these foes. Speaker 1: Like just rats come spilling. Speaker 4: I can taste the smell of a smell that I've never smelled. Speaker 5: You like the word moist. Speaker 1: I got plenty of it for you. Speaker 1: I got some bowls of smogushers. Speaker 2: Everyone's a name. Speaker 2: We got it. Speaker 2: We got it, everyone, yes. Speaker 5: I fives all around. Speaker 3: Now I want to end the campaign.

Speaker 5: That's a good. Speaker 5: It wasn't the shadows. Speaker 3: It was the red queen in her balls of spaghers. Speaker 3: It was the red queen in her balls of spaghers. Speaker 3: I'm upset. I need a minute. Speaker 13: Old Spaghetti's over here. Come check it out. She's got what you want. Speaker 2: So room temperature of soup. Speaker 5: Just explodes in your mouth. Speaker 1: Ah, it's a flavor experience. It's soft. It's maly. Speaker 5: In the flavor's one note. Speaker 1: Soup Speaker 6: The flavor. Speaker 6: UK. Speaker 10: Jesus Christ.

Speaker 10: Oh, my. Speaker 10: Oh. Speaker 6: It hurts. Speaker 3: Oh, my God. Speaker 3: I'm mad. Speaker 3: And also, that was the funniest shit. Speaker 3: Oh my god. Speaker 6: Oh, my God. Speaker 1: Oh, my God. Speaker 1: As she turns around to talk, Speaker 1: See. Speaker 1: God damn it. Speaker 1: Stop crying, you coward. Speaker 1: Oh, God, okay. Speaker 1: He just turned his camera off. Speaker 1: It'd be creepy. Speaker 1: Just laughed like that's it. Speaker 6: She's so tight. Speaker 6: I'm sorry. Speaker 6: Ha ha ha. Speaker 3: All right, I'm good.

Speaker 3: All right. Speaker 1: I like to think you just stuck a pen in your life. Speaker 1: leg or something. Speaker 1: All right. Speaker 1: As Chet turns around, and he's talking to you, Speaker 1: you're going to see a figure dart out behind him. Speaker 1: And it looks like something is going to rake at him, Speaker 1: and you're going to hear the sound. Speaker 1: of... It sounds like dozens of snakes. Speaker 1: So it's like striking, like that kind of thing. Speaker 1: So, well... Speaker 1: Next 30 saving throw for chat. Speaker 1: Oh!

Speaker 1: Oh! Thirteen! Speaker 1: Just... Speaker 1: Just makes it. Speaker 1: So he's... Speaker 1: He's gonna hear this hiss and just instinctively like, whoa, like ducked out, like turtle up a little bit. Speaker 1: And it's gonna strike. And you guys are going to see this, this woman, question mark. Speaker 1: The voice we were using is canonical now. Like that is just, that is her voice. Speaker 1: So. Perfect. And this is interesting because this is your first encounter with a name. Speaker 1: that is somewhat legendary right now. This is, this is Medusa.

This is like, there is Speaker 1: Medusa. So this is gonna fucking suck. So get ready. Okay. Speaker 1: Yeah. Okay. Speaker 5: Can I just smack chat over the head? Like, you know, that mom smack. Speaker 1: I'm fucking told you so. Yeah. Yeah. No, that's, that's fair. Speaker 3: Is there anything that anybody can roll about it? Speaker 3: Like if this is a legendary monster, do we know, like, don't look at it or something like that? Speaker 1: Yeah, this is the, this is one of the few times where I'm going to let everybody get a nature check off. Speaker 1: As long as you're trained in nature.

Speaker 1: Not trained in nature. Speaker 1: Nope. Speaker 1: Oh, shit. Speaker 1: History wouldn't do it. Speaker 1: I'll take history. Speaker 1: I'll take history too. Speaker 3: That's a 18. Speaker 3: Oh, man. Speaker 3: 16. Why did it take two away? Speaker 3: No, wait, never mind. Sorry, yeah, 16 is good. Speaker 3: Why did it take two? Speaker 3: It didn't. I was just looking at the wrong skill because... Speaker 3: Sure. I don't have a reason. Speaker 1: It's been a long night. Speaker 1: It's a lot. Speaker 3: Tell the whole of this. Speaker 1: What's going on.

Speaker 1: Well. Speaker 1: Well, yes, 16 will definitely get you. Speaker 1: So you know that she is fast and short distances. Speaker 1: You know that she has, what makes her legendary is that gaze, right? Speaker 1: Snake hair just like she will turn you to stone. Speaker 1: And she does have some sort of commanding presence, you know. Speaker 1: But it's kind of tough to find people. Speaker 1: that have, you know, encountered her in combat and then come back from it. Speaker 3: Yeah, so Margarne will just yell, like, don't look at her. Speaker 3: Use the dragon fire thing.

Speaker 3: It's prey and pray. Speaker 4: Oh, shit, is Chet still holding that? Speaker 4: I mean, he had nothing else to hold. Speaker 4: We wanted to make a dragon and around. Speaker 5: Yeah. Speaker 1: Fine, I guess. Speaker 1: Well, everyone do me a favor. Speaker 1: Uh, fucking add yourself to the combat tracker. Speaker 1: Yeah. Speaker 5: Come on. Speaker 1: I don't know where they dubbed you're a queen. Speaker 1: That's interesting. Speaker 1: For some shoes. Speaker 1: I mean, yes, if you're the only one, I guess, like, Speaker 1: like, seems pandering, but...

Speaker 1: Ruby! You are kicking us up. Speaker 1: followed by Medusa. Speaker 4: Well, interestingly, with my, one of my combat maneuvers, I actually have a very interesting Speaker 4: reaction, which is going to give me another act, which is going to give me another attack. Speaker 4: It's called Quick Draw. Speaker 4: So as long as I'm not surprised, which this was not a surprise round, when initiative is rolled, Speaker 4: I can use a reaction to make a ranged attack. Speaker 1: Well, how? Speaker 4: That is not my attack for my round. Speaker 4: It is just simply when initiative is rolled.

Speaker 4: So I'm going to unleash. Speaker 4: Basically, in a story terms, she's going to see this thing, try to swipe at chat. Speaker 4: And first thing she's going to do is just lift her wrist ballista and just try to just shoot it off. Speaker 4: Let's see what happens. Speaker 4: Here, give me a second to target. Speaker 4: I think I'm targeting. Speaker 4: Am I targeting? No, I'm not. Speaker 4: There's a little red dot. Speaker 4: Oh, well, then perfect. Speaker 4: Here we go. Speaker 4: I'm going to do Speaker 4: wrist ballista. Speaker 4: And roll.

Speaker 4: Oh, not good. Speaker 4: So she tried, but things are moving Speaker 4: too fast. Speaker 4: It seems like. Speaker 4: Wait. Speaker 4: Was I not targeting? Speaker 6: What? Speaker 4: Hold on. Speaker 4: I'm just looking at. Speaker 4: I wasn't. Speaker 4: I don't think I was. No, I think I am. Speaker 1: Try it again. I want to see something. Speaker 1: Okay. Speaker 1: There you go. That's... Speaker 1: Same role, basically. Speaker 1: Yes. So, sadly, that is going to miss. Speaker 1: So... Speaker 1: Yeah. All good. Speaker 1: Like, she's got a very serpentine body.

So as this flight, I'm just... Speaker 1: It's too much. Yeah. Too much is happening. Speaker 4: Yeah. Too much is happening. Speaker 4: too quickly, but she's going to try to at least quick draw, right? Speaker 4: So it's like from the hip. Speaker 4: But now she's actually in her regular attack. Speaker 4: So this is our first go. Speaker 4: So she's going to try to re-ame really quickly and Speaker 4: wrist ballistic again. Speaker 4: Oh, God. Speaker 4: Man, oh man. Speaker 4: Rolls tonight have not been good. Speaker 4: That was a 13. Speaker 4: Not going to hit.

Speaker 1: 13's just. Speaker 1: gonna miss. I'll give you that much. Speaker 4: That's good to know. Speaker 4: All right. That's her attack. Speaker 4: I think... Speaker 4: Shoot. Speaker 4: I think she's just going to stay right where she is, too. Speaker 4: She's going to... Speaker 4: Can I grab Chet and pull him back? Speaker 4: Just anything. Just get the hell away from it. Speaker 4: Well, he's not looking at her if that helps. Speaker 4: I mean, she just wants to slap. Speaker 4: him but fine. She's just going to stay there. That's going to be the other round.

That's good. We'll go. Speaker 4: We'll go. Speaker 6: Hmm. Speaker 6: Hmm. Speaker 1: keep using the sweet hot lady voice that Lord a minute and she's going to slither back just a bit. Speaker 1: So Chet has not seen her yet. Speaker 1: The first thing he was told is like, don't like at her. Speaker 1: So like he's looking at it's like, what? Speaker 1: Are we fighting her? Speaker 1: Like he's just very confused about the whole thing. Speaker 1: And she is going to whip out a long bow and she's going to fire a Chet. Speaker 1: Oh. Speaker 1: That is a 19.

Speaker 1: Wow. Speaker 1: Nine piercing damage. Speaker 1: Should have taken that over. Speaker 1: Oh, God. He's got a con save to avoid Speaker 1: poison damage, which he rolls a 10. Man, the rolls tonight, guys. Speaker 1: Really bad. Speaker 1: That'll knock Chet out. Speaker 1: Oh, my God. Arrow straight to the chest and instantly, this, this fast-acting poison. Speaker 1: You're like it's almost a green hue around and just boom. Speaker 1: He's going to fade and just kind of like still pawing at it and gripping at it. Speaker 1: Like it looks like he's in agony instantly.

Speaker 1: Which good news. Speaker 1: If you can kill her, you might be able to get some of that for yourself. Speaker 1: Ooh. Speaker 1: Oh, shit. Speaker 1: Betty's up. Speaker 1: She's going to take her. Speaker 1: take her whole movement, move up here, and take her healing potion and pour it down chets Speaker 1: the rope. And that will give him eight health back. So it'll make up for the poison Speaker 2: damage at least. That brings up Kymir. Oh boy. All right. Well, let's get some curse Speaker 2: on on our legendary queen. Speaker 1: here.

I should notice for flavor. Colgoth hasn't talked to you since the care of it. Speaker 1: That has never happened. Ever. Speaker 1: Interesting. Like you could still feel him there. Like he hasn't abandoned you, but like he hasn't Speaker 2: talked, hasn't said here. Gotcha. Gotcha. Um, usually quiet today. Aren't we? And then Speaker 2: chimera will point at Medusa and say some words in infernal and give her a bit of a diabolical curse. Speaker 2: Let me see if it works. Speaker 2: Yeah, no? Speaker 1: Oh, we have to apply it. Speaker 2: So, bam, got it.

Speaker 1: It's on her. Speaker 2: Okay. Speaker 6: She's got it. Speaker 2: Okay. Speaker 2: Okay. Speaker 2: Six, sick, sick. Speaker 2: And then I'm going to try something. Speaker 2: Let me try this. Speaker 2: I'm going to do a second level suggestion on her. Speaker 2: Oh. Speaker 2: So let's see. Speaker 2: I think this is a saving throw, wisdom saving throw for Medusa. Speaker 2: So let me do that. Speaker 1: Well, shit. Okay. Speaker 1: Uh, 15. Let's see. Speaker 1: Yeah. And this would negate. Speaker 1: No way. Speaker 1: That's a nine.

She fails. Speaker 1: All right. So then this is what chimera suggests. Speaker 2: It's got to be a sentence or two. They carry out their activity suggested by you as well as they can. Speaker 2: The activity lasts for the duration of the spell, which is second. Speaker 2: level is eight hours. It is concentration. Wow. And so Kimera just says, oh, Medusa, would you kindly keep your eyes closed? Speaker 2: Oh. Oh. Yeah. And the voice, yeah, that's straightforward. The voice booms out. And it sounds like the voice in, uh, in, in, Speaker 6: Dune like the Benegeser.

It's just like yeah, yeah, yeah. Speaker 2: Like ro ro ro ro ro and like reverberates through the cave and sort of like, it's like Speaker 2: something you can like feel sort of like base in your in your chest. Speaker 4: I like that it was still polite though, you know, if you don't mind. Speaker 2: Yeah. Let's gotta have some player. Yeah. Speaker 2: I could check a Bioshock reference in there too. Speaker 2: Uh, yeah. A little bit. Yeah. Would you kindly? Yeah. Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Speaker 2: Yeah. And that's my turn. Speaker 1: Yeah, she'll shut her eyes and just not even think about it.

Like it's like, yeah, of course. Speaker 1: Yeah. Why not? Why wouldn't I? I'm not rude. Like, you know, it's just the polite thing to do. Speaker 4: Ruby, I'll just mutter. She'll say, chimera. Speaker 4: Turning on the, turning on the whisper. I think you might have just won this fight for us. Speaker 2: Thanks. Well, we'll see. There's a lot of Speaker 2: it to go. You're right next to her. She's whistling. Yeah. Yeah. Speaker 1: Yeah. But. Or is going to whip out her sling and she's got those ball bearings. She's just going to Speaker 1: help this chick with maybe.

Oh, no. No, no, no, no. Seven is going to miss. Nice there. You're up. Speaker 5: Uh, before heading over. She's going to like take her. Her assassin's gauntlet, the blade Speaker 5: going to slip out and she's going to turn to log in real quick and say we want to kill her or we want to run Speaker 3: just looks down at himself i think she'd catch me Speaker 5: okay and she dips her blade into one of the two poisons that were easily on her belt Speaker 5: so what she was doing is she was either going to dip it into the oil tag it Speaker 5: which paralyzes the creature for 24 hours, or Black Blade, which does an additional 3D6 damage.

Speaker 5: So she did Black Blade instead. Speaker 1: Oh, okay. Speaker 5: Yeah. Speaker 5: And then she's going to leap over the down chat and the kids and jump right in front and step. Speaker 1: Well, I guess you have advantage. Speaker 1: Because technically she's blind. Speaker 1: Well, no. Speaker 1: What? Speaker 1: Her snakes. Speaker 1: She can see through them. Speaker 1: She can see through them. Speaker 1: She just can't use the gaze thing through them. Speaker 1: So I guess she's not blind. Speaker 4: So I'm looking at blinded as a condition.

Speaker 4: Attack roles against a blinded creature are made with advantage Speaker 4: and the creature's attack roles are made with disadvantage. Speaker 4: So any, yes, I'm just making sure for me. That was from Isaac. Speaker 1: Yeah, this is like one of the few creatures on Earth. Speaker 1: Is that like, gouging out their eyes, it's like, I got more. Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah. But can't use the main, yeah. Speaker 5: Huh. Okay. That's fine. That's fine. I still get sneak attack because Chet's Speaker 5: within five feet of me and he's no longer unconscious.

Speaker 5: I have Carver. Speaker 1: He's sitting up. Speaker 5: Yeah. Speaker 5: And then Blackblade if I hit, which will be additional 3D6. Speaker 5: I'll add that after. Speaker 1: Oh, my God, these roles. Speaker 5: Right. Speaker 5: Seven. Speaker 5: So Nighttheir goes to stab her, and then the snakes on her head hiss in a certain direction, Speaker 5: and that alerts Medusa to swerve the other. Speaker 2: Oh. Speaker 1: Oh, shit. Speaker 1: All right. Speaker 1: Well, fuck. Speaker 1: Chet's going to stand up. Speaker 1: And I get just...

Speaker 1: You know what? Speaker 1: So he has been training. Speaker 1: He has been listening to Logrin. Speaker 1: And instead, like, I think chat from a week ago would have just run in swing the sword. Speaker 1: Right? Speaker 1: This chat is going to take advantage of the fact that... Speaker 1: that one, this lady is not hot. We know that now. We know that for sure. Speaker 1: Well, I mean. Speaker 1: Well, okay. You know what? I'm not here to yuck yums. Speaker 1: Conventionally not attractive. You're right. You're right. Speaker 1: You're right.

Speaker 1: He is going to get on the other side of her and flank and swing. Speaker 1: Smart lad. Speaker 1: He's gonna get there. Speaker 1: Great sword! Speaker 1: D4! Speaker 1: Oh my God! Speaker 1: Seriously. Speaker 1: Was a 15, rolls back to a 5. Speaker 1: Still a 14 with the expertise die. Speaker 1: That'll just hit. 10 damage to Medusa. Speaker 1: I think that is the first damage. Speaker 1: And that bar is shrinking. It's going to get there. Logger, you're up. Speaker 1: You're up. Speaker 3: Oh, okay. Okay. Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, Logrin's going to trundle forward 15 feet.

Speaker 3: like that Speaker 3: and then he's going to Speaker 3: with a bonus action he's going to mark foe Speaker 3: choose a creature I can see within 30 feet Speaker 3: until the start of my next turn creatures able to see or hear me gain Speaker 3: expertise die on attacks made against that creature Speaker 3: so we're going to mark foe that one Speaker 3: snake lady get it right there Speaker 5: When I never guessed. Speaker 3: Hey, Thera. Stabber. Speaker 3: Commanding presence. Speaker 3: I'm going to have her take my attack.

Speaker 5: These damn snakes, warner. Speaker 5: And then stab. Speaker 5: Try. Speaker 5: Okay, let's see. Speaker 5: Sneking tank. Carver. Speaker 5: Expertise. Speaker 5: Roll. Speaker 5: Jesus. Speaker 1: A 14 does just hit. Speaker 1: These roles though are- Speaker 5: Fismal, yes. Speaker 5: But in addition to the nine piercing damage, Blackblade is still on the dagger, so 3D6 Speaker 5: additional poison damage. Speaker 5: So an additional poison damage. Speaker 5: So an additional 10 poison damage. Speaker 14: Damn. Okay. Speaker 14: Do I have anything else?

I don't believe so. That'll end my turn. Speaker 1: Well, shit. Speaker 1: Baz is up. Pass us all the way back there. Oh, man. Speaker 1: He's going to spend both his movements to get next to her, and that'll be it. That is the end of round one. Speaker 1: He wants to use that hammer. Speaker 1: Oh my God, it's almost identical Ruby, then Medusa. Speaker 1: It's the pre-match. Speaker 4: All right. Speaker 4: Ruby is going to be coming right up here. Speaker 4: Boom, right up next to the Medusa. Speaker 4: And basically, we're sort of quadrant. Speaker 4: flanking.

Speaker 1: This is the biggest Speaker 1: advantage you guys have had in combat. You have this Speaker 4: D8 expertise die. So even if the rolls are Garbo, like... Speaker 4: All right. Well, she's going to be... Speaker 4: She's going to do a... Speaker 4: She's going to do a... Speaker 4: She's going to punch. Speaker 3: Yeah, bump it up to a D10 because of the Markfo. Speaker 3: Oh, right. Speaker 4: Shit. Speaker 4: So she's going to try to punch. Speaker 4: A 23 hits. Speaker 4: Fantastic. Speaker 4: Six bludgeoning damage. Speaker 4: All right.

Speaker 4: And now she's going to flurry of blows. Speaker 4: On top of that as a bonus. Speaker 4: Actually, you know what? I take that back. Speaker 4: Well, I am going to do that. Speaker 4: But I'm also going to do tyrant's teeth. Speaker 4: I'm just going to go ahead and in, Speaker 4: And with her glove, whenever she does a melee attack that hits, Speaker 4: I'm not going to do my flurry because that's a bonus action. Speaker 4: The tyrant's teeth is a bonus action. Speaker 4: It's going to be this spectral, lizardy, sharp, all of all, just all kind of, Speaker 4: spectral bones and shards all sort of come out of that glove for a second.

Speaker 4: And we're going to do another 46 force damage on top of everything. Speaker 1: You said 4D6, right? Speaker 1: Correct. Speaker 1: Okay. Speaker 1: 16. Speaker 4: How about a little of this? Speaker 4: She does an uppercut. Speaker 1: So where she was dodging and weaving, there's only so much you can dodge and weave, Speaker 1: and there are four people surrounding you. Speaker 1: So every time she dodges, bam, someone hits her on the other side now, and it's looking, it's looking rough. Speaker 4: All right, that's going to be her round.

Speaker 1: Well, then. Speaker 1: Well, uh, she's going to attack three times with her snakes. Speaker 1: Let's start with Nythera and we'll just work from there. Speaker 1: Just work around. Speaker 1: Oh, my God, 25. Speaker 5: Yeah, I think it hits. Speaker 1: God damn. Speaker 1: So we're not doing the extra D6 because you are not surprised. Speaker 1: So. Speaker 5: Can't be surprised anyways. Speaker 5: Yay. Speaker 1: Yeah, so yeah. Speaker 1: Whatever. Speaker 1: Now let's do Ruby. Snake hair. Speaker 1: Oh, she only rolled a 6.4. Speaker 1: Fuck, that's still a 14.

Speaker 1: Nope. Speaker 1: Nope. All right. Speaker 6: Snake hair. Speaker 1: for chet oh god oh no Speaker 1: 18 oh my god oh my god Speaker 1: oh he lived Speaker 1: he's got to take the poison damage still oh no he'll knock him out he died it was six Speaker 1: piercing damage and eight poison damage he's been poisoned a lot that's that's Speaker 1: that's what that's a boy's full of poison Speaker 3: Yeah. Speaker 5: I'm going to harvest a guide for my next gadget. Speaker 1: I imagine, too, it's that it's, it's the like drops the sword and just like falls to the ground real slow.

Speaker 2: Like it's like a like he is. Speaker 2: Yeah. Speaker 2: You feel your strength coming, like leaving you. Speaker 1: Uh, shit. So checks turn. Death saving throw. Speaker 1: 19. Oh, let's go. Speaker 1: Well, he's scrappy. That's good. Speaker 1: Orah. Speaker 1: Um, something I didn't do for her is I didn't roll her glimpse the future. So let's do that now. Speaker 1: Oh, that's an eight. We'll take that eight and we'll pocket it for. Speaker 1: I don't think the group needs any help rolling eight. So we'll just save that for me. Speaker 6: No, I think we're pretty good at that friend.

Speaker 2: Yeah, we're good. We got that covered. Speaker 1: She's going to move over and do the Speaker 1: the sharpened playing cards thing, just throwing daggers. Speaker 1: Yeah. Yes. Speaker 1: Super cool. Speaker 1: And it is a D-10. God. Speaker 5: Oh my God. Oh, well. Speaker 1: She rolled it to. Speaker 1: But rolled a nine on the expertise. Speaker 1: I still got a 14. Speaker 1: It just hits. Speaker 2: These rolls are ass, guys. Speaker 1: This is bad. Speaker 2: Saved by the flank. Speaker 2: Right. Speaker 2: God, log on you up. Speaker 3: Logger's like, what is going on?

Speaker 3: All right. Speaker 3: Let's get in there. Speaker 3: Let's get in there. Speaker 3: Let's get in there. Speaker 5: Damn snakes. Speaker 1: So he's going to... Speaker 1: It's got to be the celebrity factor. Speaker 3: It's performance thing. You know what I mean? Speaker 3: Right, yeah. That's where this never happens. Speaker 3: Okay. Speaker 3: We're going to target her and we're going to take a swing with the hammer. Speaker 3: Fine, I'll do it myself. Speaker 3: I don't get my own bonus for Mark Foe, so I'll just take the Speaker 1: Yeah.

Speaker 3: I mean, I guess. Speaker 1: Jesus, God, that's the highest role we've seen so far. 20. Speaker 3: A dirty, 20. Speaker 1: Oh, you didn't choose whether or... Speaker 3: I never have a damage, yeah. Speaker 1: That's very important. You're going to want that. Speaker 3: I'm just going to... Speaker 3: It's going to re-roll the attack, but I'm just looking at the game. Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, we're just taking the damage. Speaker 3: How about the minimum? Speaker 6: Five damage. Speaker 3: Oh, God, damn it. Speaker 3: So as a re- it's not a reaction, but in response to that, he uses inspiring reader, inspiring reader, inspiring leader.

Speaker 3: Oh. Speaker 3: He's going to read the very heart and power. Speaker 3: No, inspiring leader. Speaker 3: Once for round, when he makes a successful melee attack role, you can choose a number of creatures equal to half your charisma modifier within your commanding presence. Speaker 3: So just creatures gain an expertise die on their first attack. Speaker 3: That's starting your next turn. Speaker 3: So we're going to bump Nithera up to a D12. Speaker 5: Experties. Speaker 3: Wow. Speaker 5: Hopefully I hit. Speaker 3: And just for fun, as a free action, Speaker 3: Larkin's going to plant his tower shield.

Speaker 3: And bring his AC up to 25. Speaker 6: Fuck you. Speaker 6: I'm sorry. Speaker 6: That's a DM. Speaker 3: It's reflexive. Speaker 3: like you're not mad at me the armor jason i know i know it's something that came from deep within Speaker 3: something bad's gonna i lose it yeah how it was that it Speaker 3: it just means every time we travel by now there's a chance i fall through the ice because of Speaker 1: this armor so how many times could that happen Speaker 3: Okay. Speaker 1: Nice, Sarah. Speaker 3: Is stabbing? Speaker 5: Yeah.

Speaker 5: I think that's a... Speaker 3: Oh, Camara is next, I think. Speaker 5: Oh, Kimer, though. Speaker 3: Oh, I'm sorry. Speaker 1: I thought you did the commanding. Speaker 1: Sorry, sorry. Speaker 3: No, no. So I just, um, Speaker 3: inspiring leader to her to buff her next attack. Speaker 2: Oh, got it, got, got, got it. I misunderstood. Speaker 2: Chimera. Speaker 2: Chimera is going to raise his finger and fire some... Speaker 2: dark, eldritch energy into the face of this. Speaker 2: Medusa, do I get any of these? Speaker 2: Am I benefiting from any of these expertise dies from here from where I am or do I need to be?

Speaker 1: Yes. Speaker 2: I am. Speaker 1: You just don't contribute to it, but you do benefit from it. Speaker 1: So that's, that's D8. Speaker 1: D10 because of the, um, Speaker 6: Oh, because she's marked. Speaker 1: Yeah. Speaker 1: D10. Speaker 1: Oh, right, right, right. Speaker 1: Okay. Speaker 1: D10 is the max. Speaker 1: You can't go above that. Speaker 1: If everyone got, you know, it's just, yeah. Speaker 2: Yeah, cool. Speaker 2: So, um, he, yeah, he'll point his finger and said, Speaker 2: hot stuff coming through. Speaker 2: And hot stuff coming through.

Speaker 2: Is that a Simpsons reference? Speaker 2: Yes. Speaker 1: God damn it! Speaker 1: I know exactly the... I love you. Speaker 1: We're friends. Speaker 1: God, damn. Speaker 1: We are. Speaker 1: We are. Speaker 1: Hot stuff. Speaker 2: Hot stuff coming through. Speaker 1: Got our generation's ruined. Speaker 1: 7. Fourth damage with an attack of 28. Speaker 2: Oh, and it should have done, I hit the button, but it looks like it didn't do it. Speaker 2: It should have done a D4 of fire damage as well because she's cursed. Speaker 2: Oh, okay.

Speaker 2: I guess it didn't work. So I don't want you should fire it. Speaker 1: You should roll it. You should definitely roll it. I did one one fire damage. Speaker 1: That was I rolled that. Oh, you rolled that. Oh, I'm sorry. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. That's what I'm saying you should Speaker 2: roll it. My dice are flaccid and useless. I click on the dice thing. So Speaker 2: and when you came out, so I was like, oh, I guess I rolled it, but I never Speaker 2: elected the die to roll. Speaker 2: So that. Speaker 1: With my mind. Hey. Speaker 5: Your is way better.

Speaker 5: Jason, you tried. Speaker 3: You lose him. Speaker 3: Stop it. Stop it. It hurts. Speaker 1: I kick damage. Speaker 3: It's a job, champ. Speaker 1: You are a real story. Speaker 1: I sure was. Speaker 1: Susan, you might as well. Speaker 1: Fuck my wife. Speaker 1: Without Helen, I would put you to know. Speaker 1: You may Speaker 1: Someone get the cuck chair. Speaker 5: This is what I'm sitting in right now. Speaker 1: That's what it feels like. Speaker 5: Oh, I'm sorry, made you feel that way. Speaker 6: You got a bottle. Speaker 1: I fear you're up.

Speaker 5: Okay, I'm going to activate perplexing flurry, Speaker 5: which gives me an extra attack. Speaker 5: And also, the creature has to Speaker 5: advantage on attack rolls against me until the start of my next turn. Speaker 5: I'm using Assassin's Blade. Speaker 5: Okay. Speaker 5: D12. Sneak attack. Speaker 1: There's too many dice. Speaker 1: 24 hits. Speaker 1: If you throw enough dice at the table, eventually, we're just going to hit. Speaker 1: 17 piercing damage. Speaker 5: Yeah, and that's just one. Speaker 1: As a result of being bloodied.

Speaker 1: Three hair attacks right now. Speaker 1: Damn, let's get. Speaker 1: Let's go after. Speaker 1: Okay, yeah. Okay, so this is Bazz, and that is Speaker 1: 26. That'll hit BAS. Speaker 1: Oh, that will not knock him out. Speaker 1: This one is against Nythera with disadvantage. Speaker 1: 13's not going to hit, right? Speaker 5: Thank goodness, yes. Speaker 5: Just for her. Speaker 1: And one for Ruby. Speaker 1: 16? No. Speaker 1: What the fuck? Speaker 4: Yeah, 18 for me. Speaker 1: Wow. Speaker 1: Okay. Damn. Speaker 1: All right, never mind.

As you were, Speaker 1: my theory, I'm sorry. Speaker 1: Okay. Speaker 5: So, nice, Speaker 5: with the Assassin's Blade slashes and then the snakes go into a fury. Speaker 5: Bunch of his thing and then just go out in all directions. Speaker 5: Oh, fuck. Speaker 5: And then just like almost instinctively takes another swing. Speaker 5: Uh, 10. Speaker 1: So, uh, there we go. Speaker 1: Oh. Speaker 1: Wow, you rolled a five and still got a 20. Speaker 5: Right. And 17 more damage. Speaker 1: Man, hold on. What is the map? Speaker 1: I have to make the expertise.

Speaker 1: Yeah, shit. No, that adds up. Speaker 1: Oh, God. 17 more damage. Speaker 1: Jesus. Speaker 1: So she's getting rocked at this point. Speaker 1: Like usually very light and fluid and and almost like water moving around. Speaker 1: But every time she goes to move, she's just getting kicked in the side and the face. Speaker 1: Like she can't open her eyes. Speaker 1: This is when she would call the herd and try to get you guys to to freeze, stand still so that she can take care of you. Speaker 1: And yeah, no, she did the main gun in her arsenal is gone.

Speaker 1: Anything else? Speaker 5: And then I got an off hand. Speaker 1: Oh, my God. Speaker 1: Oh, my God. Speaker 3: Baby knife. Speaker 3: Yeah. Speaker 5: Yeah. Speaker 5: So, yeah, she's been super fluke. Speaker 5: with this entire time. Speaker 5: And it took Nythera. Speaker 5: She missed the first attack. Speaker 5: And it's just because she had to learn her flow. Speaker 5: Like she had to learn how this alien-esque creature moves. Speaker 5: So then Nytheris getting into the rhythm of it. Speaker 5: And now she's like, okay, now she's going to zig this way.

Speaker 5: And that's when she got her. Speaker 5: Let's see if she gets her one more time. Speaker 1: Oh, my God. Speaker 1: 25. We'll do it. Speaker 5: Green damage. Speaker 5: More damage. Speaker 5: Probably just. Speaker 5: cut off one of the heads of the snakes. Speaker 1: Oh. Speaker 1: Is that Medusa split ends? Speaker 1: I guess? Speaker 6: Like, is that? Speaker 6: Yeah. Speaker 1: Oh, God, Bass is up. Speaker 2: Let's use the hammer. Speaker 2: Hey, you finally gets to do it. Speaker 3: Oh, my God. Speaker 2: No. Speaker 3: You're going to know.

Speaker 3: Still hit an 18. Speaker 1: Poor guy. Speaker 1: Poor guy. I know he's nine. Speaker 1: But well, we're not rolling on the crit table. Speaker 1: So... Speaker 1: Yeah. Poor God. Speaker 1: That he's gonna get right up here next to Nythera and just use... Speaker 1: user short sword. Speaker 1: Jesus, T. 10. Speaker 1: And oh, that'll hit. Speaker 1: For slashing damage. Speaker 1: Round three. Speaker 1: God damn. Speaker 1: Nythera, then Medusa. Speaker 7: Yes. Speaker 1: She's quick. Speaker 2: She's... Speaker 2: She's... Speaker 2: She's fast.

Speaker 5: Okay. Speaker 5: Seeing all these snakes getting even more frenzied. Speaker 5: I'm going to do the same thing I did last night. Speaker 5: Her flexing flurry, so she has disadvantage on me again. Speaker 5: But also, I get an extra attack. Speaker 9: Okay. Speaker 1: And you still get the Blackblade poison? Speaker 5: No, I have to dip it. Speaker 5: I have to use a bonus action to do that. Speaker 1: Got it. Speaker 1: Yeah. Speaker 5: But I do have sneak attack, and I do have Carver, and I do have D10 and expertise. Speaker 1: You're fine.

You're fine. Speaker 1: You're doing great. Speaker 1: Oh, yeah. Speaker 1: 21 hits 13 piercing damage. Speaker 5: Just like, Speaker 1: she's not looking good. Speaker 5: Like, just like opens this huge gash in her arm. Speaker 5: And then brings her fist down again. Speaker 5: Do. Speaker 1: Oh. Speaker 1: Oh, my God. Speaker 1: 24 hits. That is 12 piercing damage. Speaker 5: So as she slashes down her arm, she swipes up, and it goes across, like, from her stomach up to her chest, and then offhand attack. Speaker 6: Hmm. Speaker 6: Hmm. Speaker 5: Oh, shit, 12 misses.

Speaker 5: Yeah. Speaker 1: But you hate when you're too big, so. Speaker 1: Yes. Speaker 1: Uh, God. Okay. Speaker 1: This turn. She is dying. She is in the, like, like, all those snakes are kind of like, Speaker 1: they're drooping and they're kind of lashing out, but it's sluggish. It's, it's almost like they're drunk. Speaker 1: And, God, what do I do? Speaker 1: I'm going to use a legendary action, frenzy of snakes. Speaker 1: And she gets to make... Speaker 1: Ooh, shit. She gets to make a snake hair attack against everyone within five. Speaker 1: feet of her.

That includes Chet who's on the ground. Speaker 5: She has disadvantage against me. Speaker 1: Let's start with Ruby and in with Chet. We'll go counterclockwise. Speaker 1: Snake Care Ruby. Oh, that one. That one's gonna get you. Speaker 1: Y. 203. Speaker 1: 7 piercing damage. Six. Poison damage, 13 total. Speaker 1: Got it. Speaker 1: Snake care, Vettie. Speaker 6: Oh, God, 26 hits. Speaker 1: Same damage to Vettie. Speaker 1: 13 total. Speaker 1: That will knock Vettie out. Speaker 1: Oh, geez. Speaker 1: Uh, Nithera. Speaker 6: Disadvantage. Speaker 1: Oh, we'll drop a 17 to take a 4.

That's a 12. Speaker 1: Not going to hit you. Speaker 1: And I'm going to do it, but look. Speaker 6: Loverins, 25. Speaker 1: If I hit you, it's a moral win. Speaker 3: You just make heads bounce off the other end of his shield. Speaker 3: I feel kind of bad. Speaker 1: 24. Speaker 3: Whoa. Speaker 1: So, like, one creeps over the thing and just. Speaker 3: Can I say it? Speaker 3: 24 doesn't hit me, Jason. Speaker 3: You feel like a big man? Speaker 6: I do. Speaker 3: Let me drop an octave and I'll say it again. Speaker 3: Let's just a romantic.

Speaker 3: Do it for all the players. Speaker 3: 24 doesn't hit me. Speaker 3: Not enough. Speaker 5: Jameson, thanks for opening this jar. Speaker 3: Jar a whop-ass. Speaker 5: See the tone difference, Jason? Speaker 1: Yeah. Speaker 1: Yep, I know. Speaker 1: Ah, shit. 20 hits, Baz. Speaker 1: That will knock him out. Speaker 1: Now, this one, she gets advantage. Speaker 1: And if it hits, that's two death-saving throw failures. Speaker 3: Before this happens, sorry, real quick. Speaker 3: I have my shoulder check reaction, which I probably should have on a lot sooner.

Speaker 3: But for the creature within your... Speaker 6: Start on, just long enough. Speaker 6: Hang on, I'm just. Speaker 3: That's all I can stand and I can't stand no more. Speaker 3: After creature within your reach makes a melee attack against an ally Speaker 3: and you can use your reaction, make an athletic check against the creature's maneuver DC Speaker 3: on a success, you shove the creature 10 feet away, and you move 10 feet in that direction. Speaker 3: It does not provoke opportunity attack. Speaker 3: So after it completes its attack against Baz, I'm going to shove this thing 10 feet away from Speaker 3: BAS, or from, uh, jet.

Speaker 3: Shit. Okay. And there's a save, you said? Speaker 3: Uh, yes, it is my maneuver DC, which is... Speaker 3: 14. And I'm rolling con? Speaker 3: Uh, or strength? Speaker 3: Oh, it's an athletics check for me. Speaker 3: Oh, for you? Yeah, they're not resisting it. So I have to be my, my maneuver. Speaker 3: for DC, apparently. Speaker 3: That's weird. But okay. Yeah. Speaker 3: Which sucks a little bit because I have a disadvantage on this. Speaker 1: Yeah, so there it goes. So we're dropping a 13 to take a four. Speaker 1: Yeah, that fatigue thing sucks.

All right. Speaker 3: All right, never mind. I tried chat. Sorry. Speaker 3: Oh, I'll write a nice letter to your family. Speaker 5: I have a question. Yes. About ORA's ability. Speaker 1: I'm waiting to see how this goes. Speaker 5: Okay. Because I was going to. Speaker 5: Can you impose that on enemies? Speaker 1: Yes, you can. Speaker 1: Glimpse the future works on enemy. Speaker 1: So yeah, so this is with advantage, right? Speaker 1: Roll. Speaker 1: I'm gonna wait to see if these are just bad roles. Speaker 1: They are not. Speaker 1: So 26, we're gonna replace that with an eight.

Speaker 1: And even with her, that'll be 13. Speaker 1: His AC's 14, that will just miss. Speaker 1: Thank you, Orra. Speaker 1: Holy fuck. Speaker 1: Okay. Speaker 5: God. Just for flavor, orra has a momentary vision of seeing like Chet die. Speaker 6: Mm-hmm. Speaker 1: And then then the reality sets in and in- Yeah, she's like, obviously, like when she was freaking out, he was, he was kind of there for her and everything. And it's just like, he is not dealing with being a frontline character. Speaker 1: Mostly poison this time. Speaker 1: Every time he adapts to one problem, a new one.

Speaker 1: It's like, well, let's just to inject you with... Speaker 1: Here, you're up. Speaker 2: All right. Speaker 2: One more again of that Eldridge Fire. Speaker 2: He's pointing his finger and it comes forth. Speaker 2: Dark and mysterious. Speaker 2: One more again. Watch it back. Speaker 2: And here's. Speaker 1: It goes. Speaker 1: 19 with a nut. Speaker 1: That is a 26. Speaker 2: Oh, yeah. Speaker 2: It's weird. Speaker 2: It rolled the D4, but it's not showing up on the damage. Speaker 2: Oh, maybe it is? Speaker 2: It is. Speaker 1: Yeah, it is.

Speaker 1: Yeah, it is. Speaker 1: It did. Speaker 1: It's in there. Speaker 1: It just doesn't separate it out. Speaker 2: It's fire damage. Speaker 2: Yeah. Speaker 2: If you hover over it, it'll play. Speaker 2: I saw. Speaker 2: Yep. Speaker 1: Anything else? Speaker 2: Uh, let me see. Speaker 2: I don't think so. Speaker 2: Do you do, do, do. Speaker 2: No, I think that's it. Speaker 1: That's my turn. Speaker 1: So she is, with that, like, she's rocked. Speaker 1: Like, her hands are down and everything. Speaker 1: So she's just kind of like, fallen forward.

Speaker 1: Okay. You know what? Speaker 1: O-R's turn. Speaker 1: She never does this, never gets up front. Speaker 1: And she's going to stand right next to check. Speaker 1: And she's going to try and use her saber, which she also never uses. Speaker 1: Oh, my God. Speaker 1: And roll a three butts. Speaker 1: Wait, what? Speaker 1: She rolled one on the expertise side. Speaker 1: Holy shit. She is going to miss. Speaker 1: That's astonishing. Speaker 1: She rolled a three and that a one on the expertise die. Speaker 3: We've got to keep these kids out of combat.

Speaker 3: We're getting each one of them a gun, and they are staying in the back line. Speaker 1: Yeah. Speaker 1: Chet's turn. Speaker 1: Death saving throw. Speaker 1: Another 19. Speaker 1: Oh, let's go. Speaker 1: Ruby, you're up. Speaker 4: All right, Ruby's going to, uh, she's going to, uh, Speaker 4: she's going to take her wrist balista and because she's such a year slinger, Speaker 4: she doesn't have disadvantage in, uh, melee, Speaker 4: with a range weapon. So she's going to go, Speaker 4: shoot it right up at her face. Speaker 4: Yes.

Speaker 1: Oh, yeah. 26 hits. Speaker 1: 9 bludgeoning damage. That will kill Medusa. Speaker 1: Ladies and gentlemen, you just took down a legendary monster in theory. Speaker 1: Congratulations. Speaker 1: for all you Speaker 1: I want to hear Speaker 1: do you want to hear something fun? Speaker 1: That was a CR 11 monster Speaker 1: because you took her major thing out Speaker 1: she could have like Speaker 6: that's such a game changer Speaker 1: that you shaved it down to like a CR5 Speaker 6: Yeah Speaker 4: That was perfect Speaker 4: You fucking stuff.

Speaker 4: You fucking stud. Speaker 2: I want to say Speaker 2: with the curse Speaker 2: So, like, Medusa goes down and like a piece of shadow comes off of her and it slithers like a fake. Speaker 2: Oh, shit. Speaker 2: Over to Kimer and then like gets sucked up into him. Speaker 2: He sort of shakes a little. Speaker 5: None of us notice because we're all like tending to kiss. Speaker 2: He's a good. Speaker 2: Get him up. Speaker 2: And he says, you can open your eyes now. Speaker 6: Oh, savage. Speaker 2: Oh. Speaker 1: We're gonna kind of cradle Speaker 1: Chet's head in her lap, just kind of like, Speaker 1: okay, okay, you're gonna be fine, you're gonna be fine.

Speaker 1: Like, he's very sickly looking, like, kind of green in the gills looking. Speaker 1: That's a lot of venom. Speaker 1: Poison. Sorry, that's Ben, I'm different. Speaker 1: Whatever. Speaker 3: Logrin you were saying. Speaker 3: I was just saying that Logring turns to Bazz and uses one of his health potions on him. Speaker 3: It looks like Netthira did it for somebody. Speaker 1: Yeah. Speaker 1: Running out of health potions, guys, we need to get to a city. Speaker 1: Mm-hmm. Speaker 4: Try in our hardest. Speaker 3: To respect to these kids as a cleric.

Speaker 3: Yes. Speaker 1: As you're wrapping this up and the finishing blow is given by Kymir. Speaker 1: Kymar is going to hear something in his ear. Speaker 1: And it's cold golf, but it sounds weak. Speaker 1: It sounds almost like, like there's a connection issue. Speaker 1: Like it just, I need to talk to you. Speaker 1: You. Speaker 15: Yes, of course, my patron. Speaker 15: It's hard to make out what you're saying. Speaker 1: I have been shielding you and the group, Speaker 1: but I can't hold it much longer. Speaker 2: Shielding us from what?

Speaker 2: tracking the skull Speaker 2: Camer's eyes just go wide Speaker 2: and Speaker 2: he looks at Ruby Speaker 2: and he's like Ruby Speaker 2: that box Speaker 2: we need to bury it deep Speaker 2: and fast Speaker 4: Ruby's helping whatever the kids Speaker 4: all of that stuff. She's going to catch it. She's going to see this panic in your eyes. Speaker 4: Piece it together that this isn't just coming from you. This is like, okay, you got a message Speaker 4: somehow. She's been ruminating for the past since the moment that box opened that this was not Speaker 4: the right.

This was all a big mistake. She knew that before the box was opened, but whatever. Speaker 4: She feels it. I don't think she's, she, she's carrying this. She's a big mistake. She knew that. She knew that before the box was open. But whatever, she feels it. I don't think she's, she's carrying Speaker 4: in a box with during this fight. Speaker 4: But she'll just stand up. Speaker 4: Make sure everybody's kind of got what they need on the ground here. Speaker 4: She's going to nod and sprint past chimera back to where our camp was being made at the entrance of the cavern.

Speaker 4: She's going to throw things out of the way until she could get to the box. Speaker 4: She can pick it up, come back to where they are, Speaker 4: with the Medusa. Speaker 4: And I mean, assuming that we're looking at what we're seeing here in this, in this, Speaker 4: kind of this image here. There's a, there's a, there's a big cavern to, to get rid of this Speaker 4: thing. She's going to, is it wet here? Is it like, is there water? Is it just dry? Is it just Speaker 1: just paint a picture here real quick? It's, it's honestly, it's kind of warm and dry.

Speaker 1: like it feels nice. Speaker 1: Like it's warmer than you feel like it should be. Speaker 1: But you know. Speaker 4: All right. Speaker 4: So she will sprint past chimera. Speaker 4: She's going to tap him on the back as she does so. Speaker 4: Just like I'm here. Speaker 4: Like, not that you couldn't hear her. Speaker 4: Because it's like, boom, boom, boom, boom. Speaker 4: She's got the box and she's got whatever couple of shovels or trowels or whatever she could Speaker 4: grab from our, from our, our, Speaker 4: set of tools.

Speaker 4: And she's basically motioning for him to come. Speaker 4: Let's come on. Let's go. Speaker 4: And just race beyond everybody over into a corner, over into somewhere. Speaker 4: Wherever it seems like this is a good place. I don't know what that would look like here. Speaker 4: But if somebody came into this cover, they would not look over here. Speaker 4: And then she's going to put the box down. She's going to hand him a shovel. Speaker 4: And then she's just going to start digging. Speaker 1: Guys, I think that's a good time for us to stop for the night.

Speaker 5: Oh, no. Speaker 3: Episode title is probably fine. Speaker 3: Yeah. Speaker 3: Yeah. Speaker 3: Yeah. Speaker 3: Nothing to see here. Speaker 4: I've got probably fine. Speaker 4: I've got feather in a hammer. Speaker 6: Spaghettiers. Speaker 4: Spaghetti. Speaker 1: Is that going to work? Speaker 4: I don't know that's going to work. Speaker 1: Yeah, we've got a... Speaker 1: We're going to do some marketing, but I think we can get it there.
