So these guys are called group skill checks. And it pretty much hinges on, you know, most of you succeeding to accomplish a task. And if you do, you get an XP bump. If you don't, then we have to deal with that and kind of work our way out. Now, those of you out there might think, well, it's a given that they're going to flip this over. It is not. This is a big, heavy some bitch. And I bet there are a couple of different ways to tackle this. You could either give me an athletics check. Just a flat out. Like, let's just try and roll it over. A bunch of chimeras, it's going to be a little more difficult. Like, you know. Well, you get enough of them. Right. Again, yeah. Could you beat up 30 children? It's kind of like, you know. So we can do athletics and that's fine. However, if you have another skill that you can make an argument for, that would make sense, I will hear it now, please. I mean, you hear it now. We're hearing arguments now.

Your honor. I would guess engineering. If you're talking fulcrum and stuff. A thousand percent. And I think between I mean, this goes back for a long time here. Ruby and Logrin. Here's how I'm looking at investigation and says, investigation is used for actively searching for clues, gathering information, or experimentation and research. So experimenting with how to hook up the ropes onto the ceiling, so you get the best, like, leverage or something. The most effective way to do it. So that's all going to take a physical amount of exertion that I would justify with an athletics check to try to get it all set up. I wasn't going to fight you on it. It's not. It's not good. Yeah, but it's the distinction between he just hits it like a linebacker or we do or he's doing work. You know. There is a, look, there's a certain amount of skill of pushing him. polling. Like, I think that that, like, you know, yeah, but that way. My initial objection is that that wouldn't have been as approach. But there would be an athletics check involved with all the prep work to the engineering check essentially.

And secondly, I have one other one called teamwork. When you're involved in a group check, all members of the check gain an expertise die.

So we should be. As long as we're doing everything together, operating at, D4 plus three for all of these roles. What? Yeah. All right. So now, now, normally, the way these work is, it's just based off of you. This is the only time in the game where when we do these group check challenges, like, let's say there's a rope bridge and you guys got across it. It is only based on your skills, not no stacking. You can't use things like, oh, here's Bartik inspiration. Here's that. So it's the only time at the gate. But for this specific thing, it's, but for this specific thing, it's your car flipped over and you're stranded on the side of the road.

It is different than, oh, it's a hail storm. Let's find cover. I need someone to give me a survival check, that type of thing. So this is different. I'm going to say that. So use all your buffs that you have. Well, yeah, because like there's no reason why you three would stand around and just watch logger and do this part. So to that end, before we flip it over, Ruby would, before any of that happened, Ruby was like, I'm checking this thing out. She's because she's got easy access to the underneath. She's going to be checking things out, making sure that things are okay.

Before they flip it over, so that it flips over safely, so that it lands without there being any additional damage. Maybe it doesn't even like balance. It's just like, boom, right? And it just perfectly lands on the ground. She's going to do a complete once over before anything happens, very lovingly to the gear heart. Number one. There is no number two. Yeah. Oh. I kind of want to, since we're like really working with the Gearheart and touching it and around it, while all this is going on, I kind of want to like ping it and see if I can listen for Jesse if that makes sense.

Like, see if I can get anything out of that. I can you get a religion check maybe? Or. Or. Arcana? That makes sense? So, okay, let me ask you a question. Are you trying to communicate? Or are you trying to just kind of figure out what sort of magic has been used to? You know what I mean? Like, I would say. Kahn is more investigating the. Okay. So that is a long shot. Like even war forged that have been paralyzed, like their bodies no longer worked. But the soul still trapped in the inanimate up body. So like it's been used for stuff like that too. Susan, please. That's what I was just going to say is I think I'll, I think if you let me, I'll just do Arcana at a higher check because I don't think Kimera has any idea about religion, any experience at all, regardless of what the actual modifier is. You'll probably get like a hundred and fifty gold for it. That's, that's pretty, you know, like for a regular person, that would be like, You know, if you could take the entire carcass and stuff it, some loser will absolutely pay to have it in their shop or something like that holding up beef jerky or whatever the fuck to advertise.

Like they will definitely like, you know what I mean? Like they'll probably pay like a thousand gold for the entire body. Does they have like horns or anything? Oh, it's got teeth. Teeth can be used. You guys are in a unique situation because you're in a vehicle, like the first motorized vehicle.

That being said, it handles like a boat. It is slow to turn. Like, you're moving pretty quick in a straight line. But it's not meant for handling, you know? So it's going to kind of take all of you rocking back and forth to avoid sharp things that appear quickly and sharp turns, right? So do you remember speed the movie? Do you remember when another Keanu? I don't know why Keanu's coming up so much tonight. But, you know, like people had to get on one side. of the bus to kind of, you know, counter the weight. So that's kind of what we're doing right now, right?

So we're going to be getting you guys to give me some dexterity saving throws. And we are avoiding ice pockets. These ice pockets are a bit too thin, you're guessing, to support the car's weight. And underneath is obviously water. And we definitely don't want to have this thing go swimming. So we're looking for a dexterity saving throw of 14 or higher. We'll start with Jasper. Okay. I mean, Ruby's going to be calling out this as a problem. It's almost like turbulence up ahead kind of a thing. This has probably happened a few times in their journeys so far, but here we are.

Because my roles aren't great.

But like Ruby's like trying to wedge it. So I picture you tied it to the trunk and you're just going to try and cartwheel over and pull to get it to go that little bit more, right? And we just need one more success. And there we go. Perfect. 19. 19. will do it. So it is going to finally, like, as this thing starts tilting, it's going to be easier and easier for Logran to just keep like pushing. And then eventually it'll topple, right? It'll be kind of sitting perfectly vertical on its butt for a second. And then just like, boom, tip the other way into that, that melted portion of snow where the fireball went off.

And Logren is free. And it's going to jerk the car out of this thing. It is going to jerk the car out of this thing. going to like, like, it's kind of, you know, like a big speed bump type thing.
