Let's do that thing. Where we go around the table and introduce ourselves. I'm Jason. I'm the dungeon master. Going around the table, starting with Ian. Hey, I'm Ian. My pronouns are he, him, any, and I play chimera the teafling or lock. That threw me off so much. I feel like real. I know. It's because every time I say it, like I always, I always say it with the same intonation. So I'm trying to mix things up. I'm trying to throw it up. It looks like it worked. Okay. Yeah. No. It's pretty mixed. Jasper. Hey, him. I play Ruby Pedigrew. The Half-O-Work. Gearslinger? Adept.

I don't like this bit. It's actually great. I'm going to level with you guys. Wait until you get to James in the end because he's got something for guarantee. I know. He's the D12 of people. And just Underappreciated, underappreciated, underappreciated. No, just a weird shape that one uses. And then it's up. It's just catches you off guard. Hi. I'm Susan Spanator. My pronouns are she hurt. And I play knife here of Rylef, the elven, assassin. No. Roug. Nope. Nope. She can get it with a one syllable word. I don't like this. And do whatever you're going to do to me, Jameson.

Can we clip that, please? Hi, I'm the human D-12. I play Logrin, Craigborn, a dwarven, Marshall. I like that. That was almost iambic pentameter. Oh, yeah. I feel very like poetry. Very beautiful. Very beautiful. I feel of calm. Jason, how are you feeling? That's good, huh? I'm calm. No, no, no, no. I don't have an idea to do that again. Let's just take one of you. No, no, because one of you is going to keep the bit going after three of you. Yeah. You would the right way and you might as well poop in my mouth like that. Wow. I hate this. I didn't know it's going to be such an effect.

I don't. I didn't either. I didn't either. If you asked me, it's like, no, I don't care. No, I do. I'm in a serious. Guys, it's time to leave Odysia. But before you go, you are going to be directed to the front gate and be told, hey, are people have taken a look at the artifact you stuck the orb in. And they have a bit of a briefing for you. And they have taken it just outside the city. Which should raise a red flag. Just a bit. Getting a bomb out of the city makes some sense anyway. So, you know, I'm sure. But do we put a bomb in a reactor? Well, you know, an artifact holding another artifact.

It usually goes well, I'm sure. What? Mm. Is there anything else? You guys want to get involved with, go talk to, a couple of side quests, find all the hidden gnomes in the city. Oh my God. Unlocking a achievement. Yeah. Jasper does not. Ruby has a lot of things that she'd be interested in hanging out to check out, just to poke around in a disheaval. but she's got, you know, she's got shackles on here. I had, I don't want to do anything more in the city, but I was trying. I couldn't figure it out personally, but maybe you guys could help me workshop this. Like, Nicero wanted to gauge these guards as they're walking us out to just find out if any other visitors have come to the city.

Because she's concerned about the elven clothing she found. And she wants to make sure it's not her family member. That sounds like getting involved, guys. Just like, hey, when's the last visitor you had? Yeah. Something to that effect. I was trying to work it in, but the conversation didn't flow. I miss my chance last time. Like, if while we're walking and something comes up like, oh, we don't get a lot of foreigners here, so we're going to show you out to make sure you like leave the city or something. or like so no one gets concerned with foreigners being in the city.

You know, something, if they say something like that, night there would be like, oh, when's the last time you got to visit it? I mean, you just bring it up, honestly. Like, I don't think, I think you've been cleared of suspicion, like the base amount. I think if you hung around, you'd be watched. But if you're leaving, they're pretty much like, oh, All right, let them get their stuff. Let them, you know, they'll be gone within a half hour. Like, they're walking out now, you know. So during the course of the conversation, she'll just ask, when's the last visitor you got?

You get many elves, something like that. So the guards, after they tell you, it's like, yeah, we took that orb outside. And our artifact technician has something to talk to you about. I don't know what it is. But. We usually get the occasional passer by someone looking to stay the night. I think the last group we had was a group of three. And that was well over a month ago. And they're no longer in the city? No, no. People don't usually stay alone. And they left. of their own accord fully functionally? Yes. Like just kind of funny. Like, one other way. They had just as many holes as when they came in.

We didn't stab them or gun them down or anything like that. Like, it's, you know. Okay. All right. Lagerin's kind of looking at night there too. That was a normal question. I love the idea of her being really awkward about how she goes about asking it too. I think it's just enough to like to kind of like hit his ear strange. And he's like, hmm. Do you enjoy food? Like it's like a weird way to like. It's curious. Do you know what poison tastes like? Okay. I smell this rag. What is that? Deep breath. You know what chloroform smells like? We talked about little collecting things around the city.

And it reminded me of trying to play the Assassin's Creed series because people shut up about it. So I played one of the ones with Etsio, and it was one of the most terminally boring things I've ever touched. Just the most stereotypical. It's like, oh, bim-de-bo-bo-de-le-le. like the most fucking stereotypical Italian accents. And then like you collect feathers around the city and shit. It's like, oh my God, this is terrible. So I would never do that to you is what I'm saying. Maybe the cursed Italian accents, but. Yes. Yes. I like the game. I like those games, but I'm not going to.

I'm not going to get on that. I like them. I'm not going to. I'm not dating all the feathers. I'm into it. That's fine. I think those games would be better if they were just the thing and not like a corporate espionage. Let me hop in this simulator nonsense. I want to be a pirate. I don't want to do my first day at work at Ubisoft or whatever the fuck. Whatever. Whatever. What do I know? Billion copies sold. Okay. So I do want to. I do want to like, while we're here, I do want to take something else. I don't know what, but like I feel like I want to grab, like I want, I want to grab something.

I don't know what that is yet. Okay. But yeah, I want to grab. I mean, my first thought was hand cuffs. Tell me you don't already have a pair of hand cups. Or could get one from next era. You have any character. Come on. I'm just throwing spaghetti at the wall. I'm throwing a spaghetti on the wall. Let's see what kind of spaghetti. Yeah. That's a spaghetti. Assessing a creed as a spaghetti. Spaghetti. Spaghetti. That's a five. That's a five. Hold that thought. Hold. Like, let's say while the guards are, you know, they're talking to you just palm something. Because again, the most effective thief is one who doesn't even think of it as theft.

Right? Like you're just grabbing stuff and go, oh, man, you know, like it's, that's, you think it's for you. So it's not like you're trying to pull off a heist or something. It's just stuff you saw. Yeah. And that, yeah, let me be clear. That is the nature is like, it's not trying to be sneaky, trying to steal. It's like, yeah. Oh, that's my coat. I'll just take this coat. All right. At the gate, they are going to see your approaching, and they're going to open the gate wide, and you're going to see a cadre of guards on the other side, and a man in ropes, just holding your box, just holding your box.

I mean, Ruby would not make a B-line towards, but just like she would take control of taking that thing. She feels a little ownership over it because she's, you know, she took the responsibility of making sure things were safe, I think. So is your approach. with your passive perception and or insight, you're going to be able to see a worried expression on this, on this man's face. And he's holding this very carefully, right? And it's going to hand it to Ruby very carefully. Very carefully. say. You may have a problem. But before I tell you what this is, I need you to promise me that you're going to take it far away from here and you're going to take it far away from here.

And you're going to treat this with the utmost respect. I don't even know why I'd treat it anyway other than that anyway. There's one thing you've got to know about me. That worried look on your face, that's how I feel pretty much all the time. You just get used to it. The truth is, I take my job seriously. She's going to look back at logger in a little bit. I take my job seriously. Anything like this, I make sure it's safe. I make sure it's, you know, far away from here. if that's what you want. And if nothing else, I treat it with as much respect as I possibly can.

What kind of problem we're talking about here? While you're holding it, he's going to reach over and flip up the latches and open the boxes until you get to the center. There's this big glow, but you don't see the orb, right? This box is something called a compounder. and this is created using some rather unstable magic. Once a week, one of these boxes will disappear, starting with the one of these boxes will And for a single day, whatever you put in this, This box will appear again, slightly larger, filling up the next box and so on and so on. Every time this cycle occurs, well, the orb, which is what you put in here, doubles in strength.

By the end of the seven-week cycle, you have some unrivaled, unstable power here. and eventually you'll have an orb of chaotic assault stronger than anyone's ever seen and about the size of a human skull. Well, um, I mean, I guess that's what we came for. Hey, she looks at Logrin. This is probably going to do even better than we thought. I thought you said it was for a collector. For the collector, I mean, that's what I'm talking about. Of course. Well, it should be noted that each time the cycle takes place, it gets a bit more unstable. By the end, the cycle, slightest drop or aggressive jostle could set it off.

Can you do the opposite? Can you put it back to the way it was? I've never seen one of these in person before. This was probably created by some haphazard wild age who didn't have full control over their power. And then... There's not really what I asked, though. I'm saying I wouldn't know where to begin to undo this. It's the magical equivalent of... trying to straighten a pile of spaghetti out. Or spaghetti. Can we just take it out of the box all together? That's what I was thinking. Hockham's razor. You can. If you wait for one of the cycles, you'll have 24 hours to take it out.

But it won't undo what's been done. theoretically, if we do take it out, could we put something else in the box? That was going to be my question. Exactly what I was thinking. Longer's already getting a bottle of liquor out of his bag. Yes. Okay. Again, I need to stress this. What it's supposed to do on paper and what it actually does could be wild. different. I would stand by the craftsmanship of this. I hesitate to even call it an artifact, but I wouldn't count on it. I would use it at your own risk. What we can count on, though, is our friend here, Ruby.

She is an amazing engineer, and she will craft something to ensure that it is stable. I don't have a whole lot of math. But... Well, I got some skills. My beer is going to put her hand on your boiler hat and kind of little ruffle your hair. You got more than skills. There is a bit of good news that comes with this. The box itself is nigh indestructible. As long as the latches don't come open, which I honestly would like them to be a bit more secure. But as long as the box is... stays closed. The orb in side shouldn't disturb at all. I would test it, but you know.

She'll turn and whack logger and she's like, we're fine. It's just a ticking time bomb. It'll be fine while it's ticking. It's the whole thing. I thought you meant with the box. And I'm like, dude. No, no, no. He's just clas of worth the box. She's dismissing him. She's just like, don't worry. You guys just have normal boxes. We can put that like we just wanted a box I didn't want. This is the only way to keep it safe. Right now, it is a little bit of a, you know, she'll take in time by them. But you know. Well, and also at this moment, it's in another dimension, so we can't get the orb anyway.

Right, but when we get it back, I want to put it in a knot. Whatever this is, I want a different box. If you, if, like, I don't know what, I don't know what Lugren's passive insight is, but when Ruby says, this was the only way, there's going to be a look on this guy's face like this was not the only way. Like, I assure you, there were other apparatuses we could have put that or been. I think I think Logren shares a look with this guy I'd be like this was not the only way. There's a knowing look between them. The one time he's ever going to get along with an alabrin is at this moment right now.

It's like, I mean, you're the guy with the artifacts, so there's got to be. Where do you put the stuff that you want to not explode? Because I want one of those. Well. in here for now. No, stop. It's going to no. Because it's going to. Listen, we're going to make a crater. Not yet. I get it. I get it. I get it. I get it. And it is a ticking time bomb. I didn't say it's just a ticking nothing. It's a, it's a bomb. It's actually a bomb. But we're good for now. And that was kind of the point. Listen, I can rig it up underneath the gear hard if you want me to. I feel like, This might be the safest thing for the moment.

I would putting it under the car be better. When we flip the car, what, twice in the last week? That's the point. That's just the whole. It's been more time upside down lately than. She'll look back at him. So what we have like another day and then we see it again. Is that right? No. No, that isn't right. You're going to. My understanding was you put the orb in this box recently within the last day. True. Yeah. You have another six days and then it will appear for 24 hours. We got it fine. We're fine for now. And that's all that matters. And here's the good news for real.

It's safe, which means we're safe. We'll talk about it in a few days. We'll figure it out. We got plenty of time. In fact, Ruby, that's what we wanted. Ruby's got this. And besides, it's kind of fun to maybe not know what's going to happen, you know. At any moment, it could just, you are, okay, this dude is like, what the fuck? It's like watching a 12-year-old with a handguns. Like, yeah, just waving it around. Like, it's like, oh, no. It's like, see, it's fine. As long as I don't pull this trigger. It's like, technically true. Stop waving it around. Like, just, you know.

I think of that mean. That's like, what if you got? A knife. No. And seeing his reaction, Nyther is going to be like, and this isn't even our problem anyway. It's the collector's problem. Right, gang? Let's get it to their place as soon as we can. Hopefully within the next few days. And then we'll figure out what they need to do with it. Look, it was really. Real, real, real nice to meet you. Thank you for all the information. Really appreciate your hospitality. If you see, Orin, could you just tell him thanks for us? He was real sweet. Misguided, but sweet. Oh, before we leave, do you have field rations that we could perhaps purchase?

We seem to be out. Would that get you on the road a little faster? Because I'll get some for you right now. Yes. Absolutely. You've never been in a better bargaining position for free food. Like instantly, it's like, yeah, get walking. I will throw it down the road to catch up. As much as you're walking, as much as you can bring. Something spicy. Oh, yeah. And see, you're not a box. He's already out of range. He couldn't hear that part. Let's just refill your address. He's going to bring back just slim jims and, you know, Pop-Tarts and Slim Jims just as like gear, go.

Just get it. And I see her will hand hers to Logren. My armor is so heavy. I'm almost at max capacity. Actually, you know what? Susan. Because I found this out. If you have a backpack, you need to take things out of the backpack and you can put stuff in your backpack. Like if you or no, no, no, not if you have a like a dungeoneers pack, all that stuff, it like it needs to be pulled out. And like if there's a backpack in it, then you can put stuff in the backpack and it reduces your weight. Well, it should still. Well, wait should still be weight. Like, I don't.

No, it's still weight, but like, I had a backpack that I needed to that I had, but I wasn't using to carry stuff. Oh, I'm doing it. And like pulling it out of that little pack and then using it to like put stuff on, like, reduce the weight because you're carrying it on your back. Got it. So it's like you're carrying your backpack in your hand. Exactly. Yeah, yeah. Got it. That may be the case. I don't know. It was like magic. I just thought it made an unflattering silhouette. Like it's, it's a big girl pockets. Like it's like fine, like, you know, even even assassins.

Yeah. I mean, I think most of my stuff was in my skull curse pack. Okay. So on the 22nd, this is going to reappear and we need to have a plan for it. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Are we on the 17th? Or the 16th? 16th, I believe. I don't know. Ruby, generally speaking, Ruby is very reassured by this. It's weird. She's probably kind of excited about it being really weird and kind of thinking about, hey, this could be useful for something else in the future. I don't know. There may be something else in here. But at least for now, as far as she's concerned, this solves so many problems.

More than maybe she would have even. thought that she could solve. This thing's safe. This is no longer a bomb that's rolling around on the dashboard, waiting for us to hit a tree and explode. This is, this is, you know, this is safe for now. It will become less safe later if we keep it in there. But I don't know. Ruby's reassured. Logger is not, but he does agree. If it's presented like, hey, we've got seven days to find a better solution before this thing pops back out. That's kind of the way he's trying to think of it. But he also is worried like he just suddenly, because he was feeling good.

We were getting out of the city. We're getting back on the road. This was overall a fairly efficient little trip. But suddenly, like, literally this dude is standing by the back gate just to rain on his fucking parade right as we're rarely. I love this. Just looked at like the Alladron did something to you. You're the one who fucking like. That information was unwelcome. They should have just not told us. Don't open this letter until you're at least a hundred miles away from us. Oh, speaking of letters, I'm going to look at this letter that I got. I got a little letter.

You got digits. Yeah. From Viviana. Oh, yeah. Captain of the Guard. So as we're like, if we get our rations and we're like heading to the gear heart. And as we're like walking through the snow, Camar is going to pull out this letter that he got. Kind of hang back and open it up. So. Two things about this. One, there's a seal on the inside of it. And can I get an Arcana check from you? That's at 12. So this, it kind of looks like a small wax seal that hasn't been stamped. But it feels like it's dry, like firm to the touch, right? And the inside of the note is if, if, You're still alive.

If you're still alive in the month of Estes, I have a vacation. And if you'd like to meet up, just press your thumb into that scene. This is almost the fantasy equivalent of a do you like me letter? Like a hash note from school. You know what I mean? Like. Camar will blush. And yeah, how far away is Estes? a month and a half. Month and a half. Okay. Yeah, Camira will, he'll hold the note and like, he'll stop as we're walking and like look back. to the city and just kind of like look up at it and be like smile big big old smile and yeah put the note in put the note gently fold it back up and put the note in his pack no one else is trained in arcana huh yeah oh that guy is yeah we got someone you want to bring him up It's a puppy.

You know what time it is, guys. Now, getting down here, a couple of things happened that might make it difficult to get back up. I don't see any problems. That is usually the group's motto, and that is where. Things happen. We've never traversed what we left behind. So let's see the consequences of our actions. Well, you know what? Susan, let's start with you. Can I get a travel to high please? Yeah. Yeah. See a thematically what we're working with here. Seventy-nine. That's not bad at all. Okay. So first of all, we're getting back to the Gearhart. And you take all the branches and debris and whatever you piled on top of it to make it not look like a car.

And let me ask you guys what pace you want to travel at. One day, three day, a week. That's what we got. So if we do it day by day, the hazards are a little lighter, but it takes longer and you're rolling more. Three days, it's mid-range. We're rolling. Good roles are better. Bad roles are worse. And then a week. It's basically a Hail Mary. Let's just get through this. I guess. I propose. Maybe we get far enough if we can and this one to the bridge or avalanche. I don't know. If we could do that in one roll. But up to the group, unless we want to take it slower.

Yeah, I think we roll a three-dayer to get to where the landslide was. Which I think technically is called a hillfall. And then... Take that volcanologist. Fuck, I think I missed my chance to call it a Fleetwood Mac. God damn it. Oh, damn. I'm so mad at myself. I can't go back now. All right. Well, before we do that, everybody, I'm looking at all their stats. Everybody take a long rest. Because I want us all to have hit points before whatever happens. 79's pretty good. So we're going to advance to the 18th. It is now the 18th. And we are right at the edge of that.

Whatever you want to call it. Landslide, avalanche, mudslide, whatever. Never. Bad thing happened here. Now, this is going to be difficult. You've never tested this vehicle in terrain this rough. And there's a few reasons why it's rough. Obviously, trees, rocks, all that stuff. So you're going to have to kind of traverse all this. But also, you've got. slush and melted snow and, you know, it is boggy and muddy and just it's, it's not great. You're about to find out if this is an offer of vehicle, like, for real. So there's like looking at this, I would imagine you just put it in park and just, you know, you have a few options.

One, you just try to Ford the river. basically. You just go. Like, let's see, you know, let's see if you can get through this. It's going to take time. And we'll probably do some sort of skill check challenge, that type of thing, right? You could head further up into the mountains to, you know, a place where it's a bit narrower or the debris didn't like completely wash everything out. So you'd have to head up into the mountains a bit, which would take time. And there's obviously creatures and things that live in the mountains that might attack. Your third option is essentially go the opposite direction and wrap your way around.

And that's kind of a non-starter for this group, I'm guessing. No way. Yeah. I don't think that'll work. That'll take weeks out of everything. Oh, yes. Oh, yes. For sure. And there's nothing in the next. direction that we need to go in at least for now. I don't know. Like you said, you know, we would stop and stare for a while. And I feel like this is probably a Ruby and Logrin. Like, what do you think? I think there's a silence. Like it's just the engine running and the four of us are looking at this. And then almost simultaneously Ruby and Logrin start. So what if we do this?

And then just start, Like, spouting, like, engineering life, you know, mindlessly sort of while talking, getting out of the gear hard and walking towards things and sort of just in sync, you know, poking around, looking at things, figuring things out, measuring things out, measuring things, estimating things. I think it's. Pamir, can you help me fix my braid? It's coming on done. And I just don't reach this part. Yeah, I just grab Nathira and we like, and pull her down and we just sit down. And I start doing her air. God, I just got transported back in time.

I'm 14 and my dad's trying to navigate through this snowed-in area. And I can't do anything, but I'm watching him try to be an adult panic like this. There's an entire stage play happening outside the car. We're just talking in one of us. For a minute, Ruby's running and Logrin's trying to shout after. And then Loggerne tries to run and it's just a whole story. That unfolds. Yeah. But he tries act like he didn't, you know. And then you pants to the car and it's just like this nice melodic music of just like bonding time with chimera and Dera. We're smoking a joint.

We're just like. When Ruby and Camara in the car, they eat snacks. When Nethera in Camara in the car, they eat snacks. When Nethera in Camer in the car, they do each other's hair and smoke a joint. I'm starting to see that chimera is. I'm not going to say your problem, but... Common denominator. A relaxer, I think. Consistent. Solid ground to stand on. I do feel like this is not... This is not necessarily a lot. I mean, I'm sure they're fighting about, you know, bickering about not like that. You can't do it that way, kind of a thing. But what I would say is that based on history, this is not a...

Let's just do it. Let's just do it. They are really going through. This is taking long-ass time. If there's any friction, it's usually... And I think that this was the case with prior issues, too, like with that rope bridge and stuff, is that Ruby has a very elaborate thing that she wants to do. And Logrin is like, no, this is how you do it. This is how it's been done for 100 years. Why would you do it differently? And Ruby's like, but what if? And it's that way. But yeah, no, I think that means we're pointing in the direction of the skill check challenge because I think for these two specifically, it is a challenge.

Like we can engineer our way through this, you know. Right. So are all four of us going to be active participants? Or are two of us sitting in the car? Oh, no. Well, I... Yeah. Yeah, I think that's... I can percept things. Yeah. I think that's... Yeah. I think that's how it goes. It's like, my theory and Khmerer are not the planners for this. Like when they come up with the idea and they come back and like, we're going to do this. And then we're like, okay, we put the joint away and we put the hair product away and then we get to work. You know, but... Okay. We execute the plan.

They make the plan. They make the plan. Got it. So here's what we're going to do. We are going to do. We are going to do. to shoot for four successes before four failures. And I honestly think you guys are going to do just fine. I know what I'm going to do. Okay. All right. But just Nythira opens the hatch and she'll be lookout for like hidden debris that we're approaching, like a branch that was hidden underneath of tree and all that. Yeah, you're going to have a vantage point that Ruby pushing through in the driver's seat. She's like, you've got to look out because that way it's going to be a little thing.

I'll go so far. I'll go so far as to say this. Let's try to tailor this to your strengths. So if there's in the driver seat, we're going to use perception. Ruby's going to use engineering to try and like, okay, we're going to put this board here and that'll be, you know, Logger can use athletics. And chimera. He could lie. Oh. His surprising skill of survival. Oh, yeah. I mean, there was that I was going to, as a bit, I was going to say, because don't we have like Macedon blood and Getty blood in this thing? I was going to say, I could maybe use animal handling.

That's interesting. It's just petting the seat. There. Yeah. Make sure the car doesn't get upset. Good boy. Or Arcana to interact with the car. I mean, that would be the other thing as I would do is I would maybe use Arcana in some way to make sure. Yeah, just maybe make sure that it's stabilized or something. Or maybe that's like what he is entrusted with for this thing, you know. Well, maybe the Forge core. is something that Ruby's really concerned about, you know, over this debris. So maybe there's a little arcana like just you hear anything. You sense anything.

You let me know. I'm going to stop it. This wheel's coming off. I'm going to keep on it. Let's start with Susan. Give me a perception check. We're shooting. Because this is pretty rough. We're shooting for a 16 or higher. Now, remember, you can't use any skills or bonuses that, you know, you can't give each other buffs. It is just a raw skill check. Okay. I do have just a built-in expertise. I can't remember from one of my seats or something, but that's just something to have. Sure. That's fine. That's all good. I said we're playing to strengths. I know that was one of your big ones.

Okay. So you'd have to really biff this role. Okay. Roll perception check. Oh. Oh. Oh. My friend Ryan and your friend Ryan, I'm going to cash in my destiny feature and add plus five. Fucking what? Like, hold on. Let's get. First of all. I rolled one, remember, last session? So I have inspiration. So my destiny feature is I, every time I fail, I get inspiration. I get cash in my inspiration for plus five. tour. He always reminds me of that and I always forget it's a thing. I like that I have a thing now transcends groups and now other players from other groups are cashing in things for other players and other groups.

That's my nightmare. But okay. That's a success. Practice edge. Perfected technique is often the difference between victory and defeat after your role in a ability to attack roll or saving throw. But before you know the outcome, you may spend your inspiration to add plus five to that role. You know what? I feel better that you cited a thing before it was like, I'm sure I got it. Ryan said so. And I'm like, uh, okay. But now I no longer have inspiration. Lisa said, I don't have to roll this in this. Yeah. I didn't know we could do that. All right. We're looking for 16 or higher.

I will do it. Can I make an argument that this one can assist with? Because we talked this one out beforehand, it makes sense with the story, Jason. Don't make that face with me. You also get my plus five. Yes, we're two rolls in. Not even. The only thing I said was, hey, it's on your own merit and already. Valerie said that I can help what's right. Well, I'm bigger than her. And I said. All right. Here we go. Okay. How? 17. That's good. 22. So in total, I hate that it's not catching up. 22. That is two successes. D.C. is going to go up. Just a bit. Can I get an athletics check from Loughran?

We're shooting for 17 or higher. Athletics is one of your big ones, right? Well, I'm not trained in it, but it's a four. Oh, that's, yeah, you're doing good. Persuasion is better. I'm trained in that. Can I persuade you? Can everybody else do better? Come on. Come on, Jesse. Yeah, Jesse, get your ass in gear. never like to. If it's athletic, it's because Logrin is truly shifting his weight, knowing what where exactly his thing is like whatever we engineered up, some kind of tracks or stuff to roll on. I envision he's actually out there with like a rope, like, oh, yeah.

Armour off, like out there, like pulling along through the mud, you know. Okay. So I pictured. I pictured Logrin in the mud, but laying down behind the car to make sure it can't roll back. with the mammoth. The mammoth blood in this thing. Now it remembers me. And it will just... No, I... I figure he's just... He's basically a winch up front. Yeah. Pulling us forward. So... Uh... Huh. Uh... It's an 18. Poof. God. Hey. So, this is a... turned out to be pretty trivial. It's a crit success. No, we had to break out the big one. Just because we're good at stuff. That's, I mean, this makes sense.

I need to take clothes off for this. I lost my inspiration. Look, you're outside the city. It's only a matter of time before you get another inspiration. No, in the city, that's when I get it because I really won. Well, that's, yeah, if you're not stabbing, though, like, that's the problem. The clock's ticking. Yeah. Kimer. Give me an Arcana. Okay. Now, Kana isn't my best skill. I do pretty good in Arcana, but I'm having trouble coming up with anything else for that, that I have a good skill. What was your survival? I thought it was surprisingly good. My survival's a five.

My Karna is only a three. I don't know. No. Well, it's used to like, what, track in animals. So follow tracks. So you could also see where there's less slush, where animals have even traversed through this path. So you already know it's safe. Because animals have come here in the last few days. Like they haven't, after a landslide, they come back pretty quick. I know the easy spots. I could see that. I could see that. Yeah, I could see. I could see as long as he doesn't have to lift anything. Like if he was like walking out and was like, could you just, could you just please see if there's any easy way to get through and he's like, fine.

You like immediately see some tracks or something. It's like, it's up through here. I would do that. What about that? Can we do that? Yeah. Maybe. Ruby kicks him out of it. Like, I need some extra weight gone from the gear. Just, please get out. Go look for a path. I don't care. Just. These are show muscles. They're not even that heavy. Okay. First of all, yes, we're going to want. Uh, before we, before we roll this, Cuddle up. Uh, you guys already have a car, which, gets you out of a lot of scrapes. So this is probably going to be the last time where I ask you what you think you should be willing.

Like, this is you're going to have to like. You told us we played to our strengths this time, though. I, I sure did. And I hope to enjoy it. I don't know. I just bullshit. So. I just, I, Now it's two phrases. It's as a white man and can I argue? Those two phrases make me pucker up in the same way. Can I get a survival check from camera? Did you want us to introduce our characters again? We could do it in a different intonation. Oh, what. Yeah. Well. Well. That's a he's like, I'm looking. I'm high. We smoked in the gear heart. Just put up there. Get back in the car. Here's where some animals fell down the path.

Because it's not safe. Oh. This is a bunch of your corpses. Yeah. A bunch of corpses. over here. That's... Wow. That's one. We're back to Susan. Another roll or same one? Perception. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay. Okay. Survival didn't work. That's fine. So, all right. We're back. Okay. How about a 27? How about a 27? I'm good at two things. Stabbing and seeing. So we're going to navigate. We're going to navigate through this. And we're going to cross a bridge. Are they supposed to still there? Yes. Yes. But. they seem to be in there. There's no fuse. So I imagine that's going to be a thing that you're looking for.

And that'll get us to the 19th. Let's go with Ian next. Give me a D100, please. Moving up the coast. Back to Esther Holt. I do have just a general question as we're going along. Like, as we're camping each night, I'm guessing Ruby's working on. a container for our future problem? I was just thinking about that in the back of my mind is, you know, we're going to be closely, not too long, not too far from now. Sorry, getting close to this next 24 hours where we can pick up this thing out of here. I feel like logger is like, Ruby, you got, have you put your mind on this at all?

She's going to be trying to think about it. I do think she would try to find at least something to hold it in to buy them some time rather than letting that thing sit in that box for another week. Wait, I think I remember when we were in the tower, you rolled engineering and you were pretty confident that you could build something to stabilize it. But that was when it was smaller too. But you were pretty confident. Yes. So I'll remind you. That required finding hand cuffs. that haven't been seen in a century or reverse engineering. That's right. She knows how to do it.

So raw materials are a thing. And since, you know, yeah. And you're just in the car, right? So it's like, well, I got this Pringles can. And I've got that, you know, you can, you know, there's stuff. Unless you want to start stripping the gear heart. We have an entire bar of Adamantite that we could use. Like, we've got that huge. How do you chip off piece? I just want to get out of butter knife and shave off some Adamant. If I could. The butter knife is made. TikTok said I saw a wheel that said that you can just shave out of man tight You just leave it at room temperature and then you could do it It's bread's like shit but you can do it The amount of Ha ha ha clever DM clever player TikToks I would beat them to death with a sock full of quarters if I could Like it's so it seems to be engineered to ruin any fun.

The king, you know, like it's so, ugh. Yeah. Anyway. So anyway, Logrin is thinking, is thinking allowed to Ruby about using the Adamantite when we get back to Asterole. Is the complete thought. Basically, we need to try to get back as quickly as we can so that we can deal with this problem in a very safe and reasonable way. Yeah. And not that he wants to do it, but he does propose like suggest the idea of letting it be in there for a second week so we can get into the city safely i think ruby would agree that there's i mean there's no other option if we take it out then let's think it'd blow but if it's in that box it's okay it's bigger less stable it's a literal bigger problem to solve each week we wait yeah yeah but it gives us time to solve Yeah, I would hate for us to have taken it out.

And then another mammoth shows up and tips the gear hard. Yeah. Well, we just make the thing that you need and then we put that in the box for a little bit. And we just make that as big as it needs to be for the orb. And then we just like it out for a week and hold it, you know, smoke a little join or something. We could put a join in there. We could put a join in there. Oh my God, there's so much in here. Focus, focus. Focus. What about my poison? Stop. There you go. I got on the three of you. Night. Good night. Good night, John Boyd type of situation. Shut up.

You shut up and you shut up. All right. Good night. Four, five minutes of silence. Oh, but what about snacks, though? Yeah. Sorry, Ian, I interrupted your role. Did you? What was I doing? Oh, the travel day was 86. 86. So, weather's going to pick up quite a bit. It looks like there is a storm. And this is one. one of those. So you have the cold front from the north, which is always kind of threatening to freeze stuff over. And there's a warm front coming from the south, which normally would be, you know, a base temperature. Like 60, 70, somewhere in there. And what I want to do is I want to roll a detend to see how strong the storm is. and I think that's Jasper.

All right. The higher the number, obviously. Tell me. Yeah, it's the higher number the worst it is, the more intense. Yeah, like the categories of a hurricane. I just want to make sure before I roll because I know that I don't change the role. God damn. God, don't feel it be a thing. It's going to be a nine or ten. It's not going to be a nine or ten. No, it's not. Okay, here we go. It wasn't a 10. See, it's a six. It's not so bad. Not great, but it's, you know, all right. Well, whatever this storm's coming, Ruby, they're going to have to hunker down. They're not going to keep going.

It's going to be stay put. And based on everything that's happened on this road so far, whatever she can do, I'll go, anybody has any ideas. This is going to be in a, safe place. This is not going to be like, you know, underneath a, you know, an avalanche that's about to happen. It's going to be. This unstable terrain looks great. Oh, what about next to the bombs? That's good. Yeah. Back to the bridge. They see explosives. This is going to cost you two days of almost no progress. Like this is and there's going to be these huge, It's of hail that are going to kind of ding up the gear hard.

Not great. But at the very least, you're protected from it. So it's going to be a horrible racket. But, you know. So that was. Oh, man, I think we're at a rations, guys. Not at a rations. Not like a 10-inch. We only had a week. And it's been. 10-inch. We can go. Hunting works so well. You guys are. No good at it. Natural. Oh, the deer corpses. We could have just delicious. That's why you point those out. I didn't understand. Yeah. He kept yelling about deer corpses. I forgot those are made out of me. He just had the munchies. James and give me a D100, please. It is the 2100, please.

It is the 21st. I want a 31. 31 is, you know, that's not bad. It's divisible. We're gonna get you. Not to a whole number. You're almost halfway there. And we're gonna move things up to the 24th. My God. Now, we do cross the first week with the orb, and I think we agreed that we're leaving it in there first Yeah. Ruby would probably pick it up and pull it out and we'd all talk about it for a little bit. Just to check it out safely. So what's the next? The next one's like the 28. How many days? One, two, three. The next one's a 29th? 29th. 29th. Okay. So we're on the 24th now.

So three days go by. And this is turning out to be quite a long trip. The road down here, while it wasn't crazy hospitable, it was fast. Heading back up due to weather events, due to that avalanche. It slowed you down quite a bit. you've almost spent a week on the road and at dusk on the 24th. You guys are getting ready to, you're getting ready to pack it. Like once, I don't, I don't imagine there's lights on the gear hard. I don't know. But like, it's probably once it gets dark, it's like, all right. And anybody trained in Arcana, which I believe is just, Camero.

Can I get a Can I get a little arcana check, please? Oh. Oh. Oh. He's not having a great night. Yeah. So, Kimmer's blitzed out of his mind. That's a five. Like, just. That was a five? That was a five. That was a five. Total. Oh, my God. We're running low in our blackgrass. Hey, yeah. Should I make a separate? fashion counter just for Who's in blackgrass? So you're going to see a figure standing in the middle of them. It's the guy we shot on the way down. He's going to wait for us to come back. It is that guy you shot on the way down. Oh, no, really? Yeah. It is one of the blackguard.

It is horseless and. standing there. Sword kind of plunged into the middle of the road. And you're going to see the beady red eyes like looking at you. And you're like it's just standing there. Like it's been like maybe standing there for days? It's just standing there. It's just standing there. That's amazing. Do you think he's here for us? Or is he just waiting for a round in general? You're the one who shot him. He's probably waiting for you. God damn it. You think he's waiting for me? I mean, you know how much blackgrass I just smoked? You can't be telling you that.

Maybe Kim's on. Sometimes the paranoia is real. Like it is, you know, like it's... Might even be a different guy. I wouldn't worry about it. Go around. Do you want me to shoot him? No, God, no. Hold a bunch closed. Like, hmm, thanks. Is it, is it, is this the only way through? Is there any way to sort of give this person a wide birth? Go around them. Or do we have? Is there nothing else we can do here? Is it just? No, no. There's always options. Like, you could head up into the mountains, but the path here, the clearest path is kind of winding around here. But you could tell they set up like the, the, the, the, the, the, she, it, whatever, is set up here for a reason.

They're waiting, right? Do you want to give me a perception, show? Like, you're driving. So it's like, I guess you just put the brakes on. It's like, oh, come on. Oh, close to be in 20. It was. 14's not bad. So you can do a bit of off-roading and start to take it up into the hills, but you're going to move slower. And it might give chase and it might be tougher to get away if you are, you know what I mean? Off-roding. Oh, don't. Just to throw it out there if we believe he's antagonist. which I don't know. We are in a very large, very heavy vehicle. He's standing in the road.

That's dangerous. I mean, he's antagonistic. You shot him. Yeah. Why would you be saying? I didn't. I didn't. Well, well, let's not split hairs here. No. No. It's all we're a group. He is standing in the road, though. And I don't want to typecast anybody, but he was, he does look very demonic, and he appeared after killing a caravan. Was that it? He was a part of the group that killed the caravan, right? Mm-hmm. Yeah, they're looking for the skull. that we buried. We could just drive through him. Are you? She's going to look down on her switches. On her console on her dashboard, there are a couple she could probably hit and do something with that.

I don't know that's going to do much, but she's trying to think it through. I don't know if that's going to go so well. I mean, we don't know if they're even from this plane. She's going to be spooky. She's going to turn around. You want to talk to him? She's looking at Logrin. Ruby, do you remember what the last caravan looked like that these guys visited? God, yes. Okay. Well, uh... Logrin is active. As he's saying that he's like opening the top hatch and like setting it up. his shotgun. No talking. Okay. I say just gun it. Just go. I can't make that decision myself.

I feel like... Well, considering our leader is ready to shoot him, I believe. Fine. She's just going to gun it. How? Okay. Question. I'm not disagreeing with this plan, but question. And the word plan is doing a lot of heavy levels. Yeah. Running over is a plan. First of all, I will defend that. It's an action. I will make. It's a plan of action. It's a plan of action. If you want. How far away from this guy were we when we noticed? Yeah, fair enough. We don't want to gun it from a month. Where? Before we get to them. Money. Let's see. Yeah. There's a funny scene. Yeah. Okay.

Let's be. generous and say, uh, I, I don't know, like half a football field away, something like that. Like you're coming over a hill. Just like see. Yeah. Okay. And he's just standing there. If we get, so if we're at 50 yards and we get about half that distance again to about 25 yards, does this guy move at all? Not gunning it by the way. Not at that. I mean, that would be foolish to have gun from there. So you're just going to just, kind of like... Just at a normal pace. Like lawn more speed. Simbony speed, if you will. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. It's not moving, but its eyes are fixed on you.

You can kind of feel. Okay. You know when like, like when you're being watched, like if you're staying in a friend's house and they have cameras, you don't know about, you kind of feel like you're being watched. It's like that. Like you can feel. I totally know this. So it is, it is staring right at you. There is no. Like, it's stuck still, but you could feel it's like, no. It's stuck still. But you could feel it's like, no, this thing's like totally aware of us and waiting. Like it is. Oh, yeah. I mean, I don't think we're sneaking up on it. But like, can you imagine be like drive slower?

It doesn't see us. Yeah. Oh, that's the light. But does it advance on us? Does it look like it's raining its weapon? Does it do anything to react to us approaching? Its weapon is plunged into the ground. Right. But like as we go from 50 to 25 yards, it doesn't go like, oh shit. Doesn't move. Okay. No, does not move. Does not move. Can we see anything around it? Like, does the air look weird around it? If there's like flurries in the air, does it bounce off of it in a weird way? Like is there some kind of barrier around it that we can't see? Or illusion? Like, you know, like a hologram you see the snowflakes go through it or something.

Anybody trained in perception? Jasper just rolled one, but anyone else trained in perception, give me a perception. I'm not trained. Oh, there it is. There's that one. There it is. I got my inspiration. back. Good news. Good news and bad news. What a way to cheat the system? What a weird way to like game? The I have gone a year and a half without complaining about this. The thing, the park that I chose for the thing that gives me inspiration in this game has come up zero times. What is it? The 54 fucking sessions. What is it? In order to get an inspiration, I have to wit or out smart an opponent without a dice roll.

Do you know how many times we're in opposition to somebody and there are no dice rolls? That's pretty... Hasn't been. That's pretty lame. Yeah. That's pretty weak. Yeah. So, if we want to house rule that at some point, but I've been no real of inspiration drought. Personally and spiritually. So I do like a lot of stuff in A5E, those things are not created equal. Some of them are right. Bree's got one that's like, this will never ever come up. Like it's like, yeah, it was something like, when on the ocean and you, it's like, what? Like it's never going to come up.

Like it's so specific. Meanwhile, Susan's banking fucking crits every session we sit down. I don't think there's been a session where you didn't have inspiration. And thematically, I picked it because my character was down on our luck, like, an elderly woman getting back in the game. And she thinks you learn from failure. Failure are not mistakes. Failure's learning lessons. That's where she is at in life. Do I regret taking this? No. Not at all. Absolutely not. Best choice you've made in character creation. Yeah. Yeah. Anyway. But anyways, it was a crit failure, everybody.

So my theory is momentarily distracted, perhaps by small animal, insect child. Maybe the blunt that keeps getting passed back and forth to call our nerves. Here, hit this. Look nervous. Can you see that too? We all see this guy, right? You've been off in a car. Well, we'll fucking bake that over it. I'm going to shoot it real quick. Hang on. Let's see if it's high. Like that. The car, yeah. It's just as high as hell. But as a result, my passive perception score is reduced by five for the next minute. So it's down to 13. Wow. What a peasant. Like, geez. So as you're rolling up, like you're not, so you're not seeing any illusions, no, you know, this isn't like a Freddie Kruger thing where you see him in the middle of the road.

And it's really a telephone pole or something like that. But as you get closer, it's just going to take its hands off. its weapon and just start raising them. And you're going to see these very sharp ebony spikes just start coming out of the ground. And I need a dexterity saving throw from Ruby. Rupert goes, go, go, go, go, go. I think he's antagonistic. As I can't have a black to chimera. Okay. I'm going to add my once a day expertise die that I get from something that I can't remember at the moment. Oh, that is a crit one. Still a 12, though. Yeah. That's just stop.

Stop it. Stop it. Stop it. I will get a argument for as a one. No. So what I mean, can I make it on it? I don't want to I don't want to hear any of that shit. Can I make an argument for? Yes. You're all dead. I was really not. That was a cabin here. That was a fun. That was good. Yeah. Awesome. So this. So as you approach, like you're going to, you're going to get a gun it to, it's like, oh shit, okay. And you're going to dodge the first one. And the second one is going to come up under. And I, that's a crit one. So what I need, give me a D20. And as long as it isn't a one or a two, we're okay.

We're not okay. We're not okay. Yeah. I think it'll be fine. If that's my camera is screaming as we get thrown. Okay. We're not okay. We're not okay. Okay. Oh, God. It was almost a one. That's a seven. Woo. Okay. So what's going to happen is it's one of these, one of these spikes is going to come up. And thankfully, the tip of it is going to shatter on one of these metal wheels, but it's going to push the gear hard up on its side. So you're at like a 45 degree angle. And you are going to hit. You're going to hit this blackguard dead on. And you're going to feel like a...

And keep going. Can we... Please. I just... I want Logarin to... I don't want to tell Loggeron what to do, but I would love for Loggerner to say, stop it, roll back and make sure it's dead. It's real bad. It's just... It's better. It's better for the thing. Put it out of misery. Yeah. So that's, first of all, it's hilarious that we ran up this thing over. Like a steam haul. Yeah. So, like, I imagine as we're approaching this thing, like, we drive up at a normal pace and then we get to like 25 yards. It's like, okay, gun it. And then we do it. And he does the thing.

And the spike knocks us to like a 40. 35 degree angle. We hit it diagonally. The jostling it knocks logger and like he can't shoot the gun because he gets bop to the side. But then we get past it and he's like hitting the side of the car. He's like, go, go, go. And he will turn. And if it's getting up or whatever, he will take a shot at it. Or not. Yeah. If it's flat on the ground, then that's great. Bonus. Still going to take a shot at. Might still shoot at it. Yeah. But yeah, that's kind of the way I imagine it happening. There is this dark cloud where it looks like either those spikes were manifestations or something like that.

But hitting it calls them to kind of poof out of existence. So while you're kind of like driving, you're waiting for that to kind of dissipate, you're going to see that there is nobody. And the hood of DeGearheart, you're going to see this big, no. Gauntlet kind of claw into the front of the hood and start to pull itself up over. Yeah. Shoot it, shoot it, shoot it. Okay. I know. I'll wait for him to show his fucking head and then I'll put it. Yeah. So, okay. So, okay, paint me a picture here because I feel like we all have a different idea of what the gear heart looks like.

But I am very much. I'm kind of picturing like a halo warthog situation. And I picture Logron hanging outside of a passenger. Like, how are you going to shoot? Yeah, I think it was a top. Yeah. Okay. So, party limo. Like, it's prom night. Yeah. Okay. I mean, maybe I'm showing my age. I always imagine the Ninja Turtle van when I'm imagining our car. Okay. So. Can I say I know this is wrong? I know this is wrong. It's wrong, but I always picture a DeLorean that we can pop up out of the roof. Oh, yeah. It's wrong. I know it's wrong. But that's where my brain goes. It's like, listen, sometimes I picture a cyber truck.

I can't help it. I don't want to. It just happened. I think it's the risk of it exploding. That's what conjures us. I think the shape of it is probably pretty similar to a cyber truck. considering that this is like the first iteration of a vehicle. Like, you know. Right. It's like, man, this is a rough draft. We're not going to sell these. But like you get the idea, right? Right. This will never be mass produced. We built this in a weekend. No one's going to fucking buy this. But like, you, if we were going to make it like the homer, like, you know what I mean?

Like, yeah. You know? So big clawed gauntlets. Boom. It's going to puncture. holes into the hood. And it's going to start pulling itself up. And you're going to see like these, the big rapper weren't like goat horn things like of its helm like pulling up and its beady red eyes are going to kind of lock. And like lock on your Ruby. All four of a scream at the same time. It's like it goes in. It's hook is in the door. I'm trying to think where Ruby's brain would go with this from an engineering point of view. There's three things that I feel like she could do immediately.

First, there's probably a thousand things, but three things that could come. There's one thing Logger can do. So just you have more options. Well, she would either want to speed up just as an instinct. She either that or slam on the brakes, basically to make this thing fly ahead. She would also want to make being on this hood not palatable for this creature in some way. And I'm wondering if she's got a bunch of stuff on that dashboard and a lot of stuff that's hooked up. If she kept going here, is there anything that should be? be able to do you feel like ruby would be able to it would never be on purpose that she would want this to happen except for right now but to make the outside of this did you restock the fireworks yeah everything's rest all the fireworks are going to go up i'm talking about like electrifying this thing not inside but making it be electric box the only thing i'm worried about is that the The Gear Heart becomes whatever we need to be in the moment.

Yeah, I agree. There's a button that's not labeled that is like, and this is what it does now. No, no. This is a Hail Mary for it. This is more about her ripping all the wires out and pushing two together really quickly and it does it. I agree and I feel like this is. There is one. I will tell you what one switch is. It's called Nope. What I wrote was it is. It engages the mechanical brake on the rear axle only. So basically it's a controlled slide. Like, we can do that. So she can flip it. It's basically, it's like slamming on the brakes of a car, except worse.

Like, it's a handbrush. Yeah. Yeah. You can go to Tokyo drift this thing into a fucking. That's what I'll, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. So we can try that. So, uh, and Logrin is up to the hatch? Yeah. Yeah, but no, this doesn't mean he's fully out. Like, his upper body is out, right? Right. He's halfway out. But could be a thing. So don't flip the car. Yeah. Right. So give me another. You know what? Give me an engineering role. I'm going to, this is the most kind way of doings. Added driving skill. Yeah, noted. I mean, my, yeah, okay, cool. Engineering. Hey. Okay. Okay. So. Okay.

Okay. That's a 20, like total. That is. 30. 20. That is. That is probably the best way this could go. So Logrin, not, not strapped in, probably like, oh, like, you know, not hurt, but definitely not a steady aim situation either. Here's what I'm going to do. I'm going to roll a dexterity saving throw. Oh, that's that. So this thing, when you hit those bricks, its legs are. going to kind of slip under the car again. And there's a second where the car kind of goes up a bit. Like it's going to like the back is going to lift up just a second. And you're going to hear like a crunch.

As it partially rolls over. The gaunt is still in the hood. But it is disappeared under the car again. And I'm not sure if you're going to continue to drive or. So I think. slamming, you know, pull the handbrake, like, and then as soon as she's able to regain any sort of control over it, there's another switch called Bad Idea. Bad idea basically overclocks the forge core. Not, she would never do something that's going to just explode the car. But what it does is it gives a little extra power. Basically, it's turbo boost on kit on Night Rider. Uh-huh. It's nice.

Not like, not like flight to the air. It's not. It's not. It's just it's going to give her a little bit of extra energy. This is not going to last long. It's a burst, but basically it'll get their asses out of there for a minute. And we just get a little radiation damage. We don't know what that is. No, it is. It's definitely in your bones. But like, you know, you cook all of us alive. And it's fine. Do you me a favor. And give me a D20. And as long as it's not a 19 or a 20. If it's a 19 or 20, that's a lot of it. Oh. It's a lot. Oh, that's interesting in a different way.

So, okay. It's a little boss. It's just a... Like, it's just going to... Everyone hold on to your butts. Like, it's just kind of like... This is fair. These are all. all jury rigged up. Like, none of this. Who knows? She's like, I think this is what it does. Something could have got jostled loose in any of the natural disasters. You've cut, you know. So when the Yetty flipped it. Yeah. Right. Exactly. So the entire back end of this car lifts up and you're going to hear a crunch as the front bumper kind of like, you know, and then you go back down. You floor it again.

And then you flip this and you're just going to feel. She should feel the vehicle lurch forward, but in like, I think we just skipped gear. Like, it was just like, like, it's not great. You're going to see the, like, the gauntlet is still like wrapped into the cars bonnet here. And you're going to see the elbow lift up and it's drawing its great sword. And it is going to plunge it into the front of the vehicle. So where like the radiator would be and shit like that. Just a... Can I try to shoot it before it does that? Yeah, you can... Well, I mean, you can look.

Do it. Do it. Let's... Give me in the Blackguard Roll initiative to see if I can shoot it before it attacks... You know what? Your car. Yeah, you know what? That's fair. I think that's fair. Uh... There's no encounter. Sorry, I can just make a Dex roll. I know my... No, go ahead. Do it now. Yeah. Okay. That's a certain. That's pretty good. I added one when I should have subtracted one. Oh, my gosh. Oh. It's got cheating. Okay. Rolling. Oh, that's a five total. Shoot. Okay. I will. Now. Okay. Now, now, now, technically, this thing has cover. Because it is mostly under the vehicle.

This is the one time where that would be beneficial, because it's just its arms pretty much showing. So, yeah. Okay. So what does, sorry, what does cover do for mechanics? I believe this would be a disadvantage with you bubbling around up top too. Okay. All right. Here we go. Oh, my. I rolled 425. 12. 12. Okay. So, good news, bad news. Blow a hole in the roof. So. Ruby and Ruby. It goes to plunge this sword in. And being a shotgun, you're just going to just pepper the end. in big time. It says you did like 30 damage, 29 damage, right? Um, but your strength saving throw was great.

Uh, so your phone. Cool. Yeah. Yeah. So it is going to kind of like penetrate this god and the, the, the sword is going to fall back. But there's going to be a big friggin' hole in the, the hood of the gear heart. The good news is now you can see a bit more of them. You could see clean through to the helm. So it is kind of looking up through the hole and just trying to get up to you. So Logger's going to drop down. You're like, come here, get up there and shoot it while I'm reloading. Got it. Got it. I'm next to an initiative. Let me see. I'm going to tell you, there's not a lot.

I'm in a pickle, guys. It's difficult. So it's not going to swing the sword, but since it can look up and see, I need everybody to give me a D20, please. Whoever rolls lowest. Do, do, do. Do you do. Oh, wow. These are all darned. Hey. Oh, damn. Damn. So it's Kymyra, but only just like, that's a 13. Ruby 16, logger 19, I think there is 17. I don't know where these rules were earlier. Yeah, right. Come on. So as you're popping up and you're like, okay, let me, let me just hit it with what I hit it before. It's making eye contact with you. You can feel it. like in your soul.

And you're going to hear this low rumble in a language that you don't know. But it's like being projected into your head. Like you can feel it. I need a wisdom saving through this. Is this a spell? It's an ability. I can't. I can't I hope with this. Sounds like someone just got. counter spell but I think it has to be a spell like if it's an actual spell if it's like a special ability that it can do I don't know if it works yeah this is just from being evil yeah great oh okay this is something called vile curse uh let me get you that wisdom saving there one second It's got to be a 14. 14.

Okay. There we go. Well, I think I did actually. Okay. What the. What the fuck is your wisdom safe? Holy shit. I got a 20 in wisdom. We've been over this. That's why my survival is so high. It just doesn't feel like it should be that. Yeah. Anyway. I'm here. The wisest of the group. That's because I wanted that high insight. That's what it was for. And then there were a bunch of other skills that came with it. So you're going to feel it like in, like in you and you're kind of like wrestling it off. And I guess if you still want to shoot at this thing, you just blast down.

Well, I do. But what I'm actually going to do is terrible. Yeah, I'm just going to make that whole bigger. No, I'm going to cast heat metal on its own. armor. And instead of just like firing at it, I'm gonna cast, I'm gonna like heat its armor up. Interesting. So Kamira does a bunch of seals and says some magic words and the his armor just begins to glow. And he takes 2d8 fire damage damage. And he takes 2d8 fire damage. And And yes, to make a constitution saving throw to drop his armor. But if he can't drop it, he just has disadvantage on attack roles and ability checks until the start of my next turn.

I feel like, I feel like it should be slightly different for demonic entities or like like something that can't feel pain traditionally. But, uh, let's see. All right. That's a 10 total. What was I shooting for? Probably not a 10. You were shooting for a 16. Yeah, that's not that. So that is six, six damage. You're mostly heating up what you can see. So it's like slowly but surely, you're gonna see this dark metal start to like warm, Like, it's, like the hue is turning orange. It's gauntlet still plunged into the car. It's going to heat up to the point where you can see the hood start to melt where it's, like, it's, it's sliding down very slowly.

It's not enough damage so that it's like, whip and it, you know, but. It's like, we talked about this. Right. Yeah. But like you can see where. Yeah, like this thing. Yeah. So. Okay. Well, it's not hurting him like I thought it would. I'm gonna curse his ass too. I'm gonna say some nasty words to him. Say some shit, yeah. You know what? Let's add chimere to the initiative tracker then. All roll initiative. I'm gonna re-roll here because we've all taken an action. And. Should we all just rolling? Yeah. Yeah, it's just re-rolling everybody. So, oh, God, we're all doing it.

Okay, we're in already. Should we add, um, Ruby and Nythera? Do you want to be added? I mean, at this point, maybe we would try to help. Yeah, let's do it. Let's do it. Yeah, let's do it. Like, I'm okay with sitting back and letting my friends handle it, but I think Nythero would want to do something. It takes an additional one D fire, or one fire damage. Okay. Ruby. Still driving. You're going to see a whole get blown into. Yeah. Getting so pissed. She's like, stop messing up the gear heart. God. She's got, she's got people behind her. She's mad at. She's got this thing on the front that she's mad at.

She's not a whole lot she can do here while she's driving. Unless she were to blow out the windshield in some way. I don't think there's much she can do. I honestly feel like she's going to have to focus on driving and sort of skip a turn here. I can't think of any unless anybody has any other ideas. Give me, you know what? Give me a dexterity saving throw and see because this has got to be distracting while driving, right? A thousand percent. Yeah, maybe something pops up where yeah, if it's a particularly good roll, then maybe we flip a rock or something.

Or that, that is also. Hey, 12. Average. Yeah, that's a four on the roll. The 12. 12. It's what matters. It's still average. Yeah. It's it's it's yeah. So you're kind of you're all over the road a little bit like you're swerving. You're yeah. And you're trying to hit bumps so that it you know, just pulverizes this thing. And if this were a person, man, this would have let go a long time. Probably never would have held on to begin with. It'd just be dead. Yeah. This is, yeah. I feel like if there's any sort of trees or like large boulders or anything, she would try to do that.

She'd try to scrape him off if possible. But carefully, lights going down. It's not going to be as easy. So that's the best she can do. I don't think there's any sort of attack I can make. I can't wrist bull to anything or punch him. So let's we stop. the car. She's not going to be able to do very much. So I'm going to have to leave it. This thing's term. It is still hot. Like it's burning, right? And you're going to see a different aura. It's called aura of evil. And for one, like, yeah. I like you're so bits and pieces that were blown out with the shotgun. You're going to see it very, very, very. very slowly start to knit back together.

Just just little bits and pieces. And it is going to take its entire movement and then fortify itself by plunging the sword directly into the top of it so that it can pull it. Now it's crouching like a gargoyle on top of the hood. Cut it out. That's all I can do though. Stop. No. That's her attack. It's just yelling at him. So this is actually. Actually, the sword is so deep. You, like, the first time it goes in, you're gonna hear like a, as it digs into the ground for just a second, and you're gonna, like, feel like, it, it kind of like, kind of jostle back up, and it is using that to hold on to.

Uh, Lagerund's turn. How long does it take to reload the gun? Let's, uh, let's do a dexterity save. Like, this is you like, any action movie, like, T-Rex chasing you in Jurassic Park or something. This is you fumbling with the shells, putting it back in. So give me a dexterity save. 14 or higher, it's reloaded. Oh, my forte is dexterity saves. That's 14. It's a 13. Oh, it's a 13. Oh, shit, that's right. So it'll be ready for your next turn. But you still get an action if you want. Hmm. Yeah, you know what? I have, what am I doing? I'm a marshal. I tell chimera to attack it again.

So you got it. Like a basic, like a fire bolt or something. Yeah, well, I think the last time we did this, it was my Eldridge blast. Yeah, anything you have that is counted as an arranged attack you can use. So. So I will do that. Yeah, I will slap an Eldridge ray on it. For a 19. 19 does hit for two damage. So this thing is now perched up like this. And you're going to, you're going to wing it. And it is going to, it's still holding onto the hilt of the sword. So since it's dug into the hood of the cart, it's going to fall back and it kind of like, like cut more into the hood.

But it's definitely going to take that damage. And here's the thing. Every time it gets hit, I'm going to roll a Constitution saving throw. And each time it gets hit, the check is going to get higher and higher until it can't hang on. So the first check is a 14. Damn, I am rolling for ass. So that's a 15. It's still hanging on. Yeah. But with those. Nithyra, can she fit in the hatch with Chimera or does she have to push him out of the way? I'd say it's like a limo, right? Like you can, like you guys are like if it were logren, no. Okay. She's going to move when that's my term.

Yeah. Got it. Got it. Got it. Yeah. Okay. So Nizherira is going to use her bonus action. Uh, and use her master poisons and apply poison. It's a cutting action. So I'm going to apply my black blade to one of my arrows. Then she's going to knock that arrow, stand up, pull back, and shoot. Okay. I know you're sitting on top of an inspiration. So if this were you, but you're hitting something, so probably no. We'll see, yeah. Go for it. Okay. No, I'm not going to ask that beat. That's bullshit. I was going to pull some. Wow. I was going to speak it's bullshit to you. Holy shit.

Like, what can I argue? That I have an ally within five feet of him so I can use sneak attack. Yeah. No. Oh my God. Yeah. No. The sneakiest. Right. That's a criss. I don't need it. Uh, wait, um, are the Black Blades applied to an additional 3d6 damage? Which gets tripled or doubled, right? Oh, is everything? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah. Additional 18 damage. Times two. Yeah, so that's, uh, what, uh, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that We are assuming poison does something to an undead. You know what I mean? That's true. Yeah. But do you want to see if it rolls on the grid table?

If it has an immunity, that's fine, but it's still the 14 times too. Give me. Well, the 14 is already doubled. Okay. Give me, yeah, let's see if it rolls on the crit table. It does. Let's go. D-1-20. 20. 20. Okay. Ooh, eight or cry. All allies that can see you gain inspiration if they do not already have it. Hey, Jameson, you know you were saying that you needed some? I'm hand in the mouth. She has double now. So like if she's in, it bleeds over. I was still thirsty and you gave me a drink. When I was one set of footprints in the same season. You desert heart, come bring your cup.

This is going to take, it's going to take this arrow in its other shoulders. So, you know, it's going to take an Eldridge blast in the right one. Left one's going to take an arrow. And the sword is going to slip out. It is going to fall backwards. And the gauntlet is going to be left in. the hood, but the rest of its body is going to be ripped free and you're going to feel the car run over at this time. And it is sprawled out and crumpled in the road behind you. And I think that's a good time for us to stop for the evening. We fade out on Lager and popping up one more time to double tap it before.

I'm not going to be able to. And just shoot an Eldridge blast. All three of us, we like, pop up. Stop the car, stop the car, stop on the corpse for a couple minutes. Step, step, step, step, step, step. I will say this out loud for posterity before I forget. And while we're still recording, Loggerne has two rounds left in his gun. Oh, let me get down my arrows. I need to get you some real. Yeah, we got a, we got a stock. up. Oh, neat. Okay. I appreciate you keeping track of that. I don't. The game does. Well, thank you. I'm just saying it out loud to keep myself honest.

I respect.
